Notes:
Something else very important I'd like to touch on is that Corey's love interest is Sprite. I would like to make it clear that this is not meant in any way to sexualize or romanticize the actress. Also if this story makes anyone uncomfortable I am fine with taking it down so long as you can message me and give me a rough idea of what is bothering you about it (just so I know for the future and so I know that you are not just being a rude person and getting me to take down my writing.) I hope that you all enjoy the story :)

Chapter Text
Corey stepped over a crack in the sidewalk almost tripping, the noise of music was loud in their ears blocking out most noises except for the screeching of cars. His bag slipped a bit off her shoulder and she shrugged it back on.
They hummed as they walked smiling at others they passed, she looked up for a minute staring at the night sky. The day was better, in her opinion anyway but something about the darkness of night was so beautiful.
They wore a brightly coloured patchwork sweater, a shirt underneath it just barely visible, and some faded jeans. Her planet earrings swung with every step she took. She was getting stares for the outfit, as usual, people in London weren't a fan of bright colours.
She tripped over the uneven sidewalk and landed on the ground hands stinging slightly. Their headphones had been knocked out and the cord dangled from her pocket, picking them up she was about to put them back in her ears when she heard a noise it seemed a bit distant but there was no mistaking the sounds of screaming and crashing.
Eyes widened she raced to where the sound was coming from, her footsteps pounded against the ground.
She turned a corner and saw it, the thing looked like something out of an action fantasy movie. Her eyes darted around the scene, there looked to be three people front and center his eyes fell on an older lady to the side, she seemed to be frozen in fear as she stared at the beast.
Without thinking Corey raced towards the woman, the beast's attention flickered to her and saw where she was going. Maybe it had an interest in them maybe it was confused but it was running at the women at a much faster pace than Corey was.
Corey pushed herself to run faster, she had an easier route than the thing. She reached the woman who was still frozen and threw herself in front of her.
"Run," Corey spoke quietly to the lady, but there was little chance either of them would make it out, the thing was close and neither of them could outrun it.
"I'm sorry hon'" The woman's voice was apologetic as if it was all her fault.
"It's all right," Corey murmured closing her eyes, still in front of the woman.
The beast advanced but then stopped. She opened one eye, the beast was looking right at them yet didn't seem to see them.
She tried to look behind her at the woman but saw nothing, she could feel the woman she was clutching her hand and the lady's breath was in her ears, yet she wasn't there as if she was invisible.
They turned their attention back to the beast in front then something seemed to swoop by and push the beast into a nearby store.
Suddenly she could see the woman again who was shaking like a leaf, though she probably was too.
"Here let me help you," Corey's voice cut through the tense feeling and she began helping the woman down the road away from the commotion.
When they reached the end of the street she gestured down a road.
"Go down there, find somewhere safe to go. Just don't come back here." She warned the lady.
"What about you?" The lady was trembling as she stared at Corey.
"I need to go back, make sure no one else is hurt or in danger," She told her with a smile and the lady nodded too shaken up to put up much of a fight.
"You just focus on finding somewhere safe," Corey told her as the woman began wandering down the street.
"You too," The woman said and Corey smiled, she waited until the lady had disappeared behind a corner then ran back to where the danger was.
"This was a normal walk home," She laughed to herself as she ran.
She came back to find someone shooting lasers at the beast. She looked around makings sure there was no one there, she saw a pile of rose petals and someone was within them but unlike the lady, they had no problem running away.
At the center of it were three people, the ones from before. One of them must have seen her because they shouted at her to run and beckoned her forward.
Not knowing what else to do she raced towards the small group.
"Why would you come back?" One of them asked but she couldn't respond.
"Who are you?" Another asked her.
She looked at the beast who seemed to be resting for a minute.
"Did it just heal itself?" She heard one of them say, her eyes were fixed on the beast.
The beast seemed to prepare to attack again but then lasers were shooting once more and it was running away.
The lasers followed it until it jumped into the water beneath the bridge.
She followed the others as they ran forwards to greet some guy who'd just flown down from the sky.
"Ikaris," One of them said and ran up and hugged him.
"It's good to see you," They continued and Corey looked at the four people standing in front of them.
"It's good to see you, too, Sprite" The guy, Ikaris agreed.
'Sprite? Like the drink?" Corey asked suddenly finding her voice again. This seemed to remind the others that she was there, but none of them responded instead they approached the two, Ikaris and Sprite.
"I'm Dane," The one guy said and Corey nodded, her mind was confused and jumbled.
"Hello, Dane" Ikaris greeted him.
"Well, I guess you must be the pilot," Dane continued and Corey's eyebrows scrunched confused.
"Can someone please explain what is going on?" She asked and they looked at her for a minute.
Just then they heard sirens and before she knew it they'd all disappeared.
One of them grabbed Corey's hand, she wasn't sure how they knew where he was but they began leading her away.
They didn't reappear until we were a couple of streets away, Corey looked at the four of them and tried to make sense of it all.
"I'll take Dane home," The one whose name she didn't know offered, nobody objected.
"We can take..." Sprite started but trailed off looking at Corey realizing she'd never said their name.
"Corey, Corey Luz," She introduced herself with a smile, a real smile somehow despite it all she managed to conjure one up.
"Well, Corey we can take you home." They finished and she shook my head.
"I'm not going home until I get an explanation, what was that thing, and who are you guys?" She asked them and they sighed.
"Yeah, I'd like to know too." Dane agreed.
"You guys take care of Corey, explain it to her. I'll take Dane back and explain it to him." The one offered.
"Very well, Corey lead the way home." One of them offered and she slowly began walking forward.
"We are Eternals, we are from a planet called Olympia" Sprite started and Corey nodded along trying to put the pieces together with the information she was given.
"We came here 7,000 years ago on the Domo which is our starship" Ikaris continued.
"To protect humans, like you, from the Deviants which is what that thing was." Sprite went on.
"We thought we killed them all five centuries ago," Ikaris said.
"Clearly not all of them" Corey broke in and they both shot her a look that made her laugh.
"So the scary 'Deviants' are back, you're the guy who flew too close to the sun, and you are a soda brand?" She laughed again stopping to look at them.
"Not exactly but I suppose you're right," Ikaris agreed.
"So what are you gonna do now?" Corey asked them.
"Fight them I suppose, find the others and figure out what to do." Sprite guessed.
"I want to come with you," Corey said looking them in the eyes.
"No" A voice came from behind, it's the one from earlier.
"What's your name?" Corey asked suddenly and they raised an eyebrow at the sudden question.
"Sersi."
'Well, Sersi, I want to come with you" Corey tried again.
"No it's far too dangerous for a human, we can't put you in danger again." She told her.
"Wouldn't it be safer to be with you guys considering you defeated them before?" Corey reasoned cocking her head to the side.
"Don't you have a family you need to get back to?" Ikaris asked her.
"I have a Grandma, but she doesn't mind," She responded turning to look at him, she seemed to take a deep breath.
"Please, I don't think I can go home after that. And pretend everything's normal, please. I just, I guess I want some answers." Corey pleaded turning back to Sersi.
The three of them exchanged a look.
"If you want to come that badly I suppose you can, but you need to understand that you are putting your life at risk," Sersi told her and she smiled.
"Yep! I got that, do you mind if I call my Grandma, let her know I won't be back for Bingo night?" Corey asked and Sersi nodded slowly.
"Yeah, here we'll go back to our place you can call her there."
They started walking and low enough to avoid Corey hearing it Ikaris whispered to Sprite.
"Check her bag when we get there, nobody's this excited about a death mission. Something's up."
"I will"
-☼-
"This morning an unprecedented global earthquake swept nation-states across the world." Corey heard the tv in the background say as she called up her grandma.
"Did that have anything to do with you guys?" She asked Sprite who had picked up some sort of dagger
"Maybe," Was all she got in return, she shrugged and put the phone up to her ear.
"Hello?" An uncertain voice came through the phone.
"Hey, Grandma! I'm gonna be out for a bit but don't worry I'll be back soon I promise," Corey told the phone a smile on her face.
"Corey! How are you dear? That earthquake was scary, it broke one of my good jars!" Her grandma exclaimed.
"Oh no, I'll see if I can fix it when I get back. You aren't hurt are you?" Corey asked worriedly.
"No hun' but it did give a good scare" Her grandma responded and she breathed a sigh of relief, the smile returning to her face.
"That's good, anyway I'll be back soon but right now I need you to grab a sticky notepad," Corey paused as she heard the shuffling.
"Got it."
"Great! So on the first one, I need you to write 'Feed the fish, a pinch of food every morning,' you got that Grandma?" She paused again.
"Yes, dear."
"Ok rip that one off and on the next one I need you to write 'Take three pills with each meal, one blue, two white' ok?" She continued.
"Yep."
"Ok now stick those both on the fridge right where you can see them" She instructed.
"All done Corey dear," Her grandma told her.
"Great, now I have to go but I'll be back soon I promise," She told her.
"Ok, Corey"
"And if you need anything there are phone numbers on the fridge. And Doris is only a bit away you know where she lives?" Corey asked her.
"Yes I know, Corey, stay safe," Her grandma instructed.
"I will Grandma, I'll see you soon. Love you" She told her grandma a sad smile on her face.
"Love you, Corey."
She clicked a button on her phone and hung up.
"You done?" Sprite asked from across the room.
"Yes!" Corey told them smiling.
"Great, can I check your bag?" Without really waiting for a response Sprite opened the bag.
"Yep that's fine just please don't take anything." Corey requested.
Sprite rummaged through the bag there were clothes, money, candy, a metal water bottle but nothing dangerous.
"I think you're good," Sprite said after examining the bag.
"Oh well, that's a relief" Corey smiled.
She walked out of the room into the sort of kitchen where Sersi and Ikaris were.
"That Deviant healed itself" Sersi spoke from the doorway, she was lost in thought "They could never do that before."
Corey sat down on the floor her head against a wall as she watched them.
"What's going on?" Sersi asked turning to Ikaris.
"I came to check on you because of the earthquake." He explained. "That Deviant is news to me."
"Something's happening to Earth," Sersi said, "Can't be a coincidence."
"We need to find the others," Ikaris told her and Corey looked up excitedly, they'd mentioned that there were others.
"I haven't seen some of them for centuries," Sersi turned to look at him.
"I doubt much has changed," Ikaris said.
He started to walk towards Sersi and Corey stood up brushing off her pants.
"I'm sorry I hurt you, Sersi." He told her and Corey just stood there, this felt like a conversation that she probably wasn't supposed to be there for.
"But we need to stick together," He told her.
"And once I know you're safe I'll leave you alone," He finished and Corey played with her hands to distract themself.
"Let's go to Ajak first" Sersi suggested and she looked up from her hands.
"Who's that?" She asked nobody responded.
"She'll know what to do"
With that, she walked away.
"You hear that, Sprite?" Ikaris asked. "Family reunion."
"It's about time" Sprite answered from the other room.
Notes:
First chapter done? So what do you y'all think about Corey she's meant to be like a generally happy person (course not happy all the time, that's impossible) but a brighter ray of sunshine, you know? I hope y'all are kinda enjoying the story so far.

Chapter Text
Corey sat in the front seat of the car, staring out the window at the unfamiliar landscape. Her music was loud in their ears and his eyes flicked over to Sersi who was driving, then to the two in the backseat. Sprite had fallen asleep and was resting gently on Ikaris's shoulder.
She'd changed before they'd left and now wore a striped shirt with overalls, a belt, and a rain jacket. He'd also changed their earrings to a honey bottle with bees. The others had no idea how the whole outfit had fit in her small bag but none of them asked her.
She stared to the one side where there seemed to be a thunderstorm, she was glad that her music drowned out the noise of it. He wasn't a fan of thunderstorms, they were too loud.
The sun was setting when the car pulled up to a house, she turned her music off and pulled her earphones out tying them neatly before putting them in her bag which sat at her feet.
She got out of the car and followed the others as they headed toward the house.
"Hello?" Sersi called out, there wasn't a response.
"Ajak?" She asked and the wind whistled in reply.
They stared at an open door as the wind whipped through the house, Corey shivered slightly.
Sersi led them outside to what could've been the front or the back yard it was too dark for Corey to tell much, the sun had disappeared for the night.
Suddenly Sersi spotted something and began running forward.
"Ajak!" Her voice was filled with worry.
She stopped and bent down giving Corey enough time to catch up.
Her breath caught as she looked at the sight, she was lying there, who she assumed to be Ajak. Sersi reached and touched her face for a moment.
"Is she dead?" Corey asked quietly, her voice filled with worry.
Nobody responded but Sprite fell to her knees sniffling which gave the answer.
"It was a Deviant," Ikaris declared looking at the body.
-☼-
Corey sat outside on the steps that led up into the house, she shivered slightly as the wind tugged at her hair and clothes.
The sound of someone walking up behind her made her turn around, it was Sprite their face stained with tears.
"I'm sorry for your loss," Corey told them although she knew the words didn't mean much.
"She sounded nice, Ajak that is. And if you need anything, or someone to talk to who isn't gonna be able to relate at all I'm here and I can help you as best I can." Corey looked up at Sprite who sat down beside her.
"She was kind, she never stopped caring about us. Never gave up on us, never gave up on me." Sprite told her and they both stared into the darkness.
"I'm sure she'd be proud of you," Corey told them and Sprite stared at her.
"What makes you say that?"
"Because look at what you've done since I've met you, you've saved people, you saved me. If she isn't proud of you then she's wrong." Corey said the last part firmly.
"But it's not wise to speak ill of the dead, that's what my grandma says anyways," Corey continued and Sprite seemed to smile a little.
"As I said before, you need someone to talk to who won't know what you're going through but will understand then I'm here for you. Sometimes I find it's best to talk to people who may not have experienced it so they can help you carry the weight," Corey told them and Sprite looked at her.
"Yeah...thanks," Sprite said quietly.
Then they stood up and walked back into the house.
Corey stayed out there lost in thought, the electricity seemed to spark then go out and the darkness surrounded her.
She stood up quickly and ran into the house to find the others, she didn't know what that meant but it didn't sound good.
Corey could hear them shuffling as they headed outside to find Sersi, she was sitting still.
"Sersi! Sersi! Are you ok?" Sprite asked her and Corey knelt down too, worried.
"What happened Sersi?" Ikaris asked her.
"The sphere that Ajak used to talk with Arishem, it came out of her body and went inside me," Sersi told us.
"Who's Arishem?" Corey asked confused.
"Did you talk with Arishem?" Ikaris asked her ignoring Corey's question.
"Yes. He said it's almost time." She responded.
"Can you try talking to him again?" Sprite asked her.
"I don't know how," Sersi said.
"But she chose you to replace her. And she gave you the sphere." Sprite insisted.
"Hold on, Sprite. Are you sure you talked with Arishem?" Ikaris asked.
"What else would it be?" Sprite asked.
"Mahd Wy'ry," He said and Corey looked at him.
"Can someone explain who Arishem is and what Mahd Wy'ry is?" She asked looking at them.
"Arishem is our sort of boss I guess you could say, and Mahd Wy'ry," Sprite trailed off.
"It's as if your mind is fractured breaking under the weight of your memories. It can cause you to do...unpleasant things as if you are in a trance." Sersi explained.
"Well, you can't have that right? Right..?"
Notes:
Poor Ajak who's dead...so how y'all doing? How's it going?

Chapter Text
"Come my way Nach, mera hero. Get the evil away Nach, mera hero. You came to save Nach, mera hero. And now you're here Nach, mero hero, oh."
"Now you have come home, give it all to me. You would risk it all for the victory. Waiting for you scarcely can I."
Corey smiled nodding her head along to the music her lemon earrings shaking as she watched the people dance, they'd come to get another one of their Eternal friends. She looked at the others who just stared confused. Once more he'd changed and now wore a white shirt with a rainbow across it and some yellow-flowered plants. The others didn't really understand why or where the outfits kept coming from.
She knew some of the people here, a lot of them were popular actors, apparently, their fellow Eternal was one of them but they hadn't told her which.
Someone walked up to them and said something in a language she didn't understand.
"I am Karun Patel," He switched to English. "Kingo's valet."
"Hello," Corey waved. Kingo she thought to herself, he was a popular actor who'd come from a long line of other famous actors, (her grandma would make her watch the movies with English audio or subtitles since they were often in a different language) but if he was an Eternal did that mean that it had always just been him?
"It's truly an honour to be in the presence of the great Eternals," The others stared at him.
"I'm not an Eternal, I'm just sort of here," Corey informed him giving him the thumbs up.
"Stop talking" Sprite whispered to her and she looked at them.
"Sorry."
"Like the fire, like the sun. You have risen, mighty one"
The song ended and everyone froze in place.
"Cut! Okay, everyone that was good" Kingo called as a bell rang and Corey covered his ears to soften the noise.
"But we can do 10% better, that was beautiful. Very, very good." He told the actors around him then as someone came up to touch up his hair he saw them and squealed.
"My friends from college are here." He said walking towards them with outstretched arms.
"Hello, boss!" Kingo exclaimed hugging Ikaris. "Perfect timing! Welcome to the set of..."
He said something in another language and the only part Corey managed to understand was Ikaris.
"I'm playing you!" He smiled.
"You like the costume?" He asked then he noticed Corey.
"You're not an Eternal, are you Sprites girlfriend? Cause I always sort of knew-" He asked and Corey laughed as Sprite's face darkened.
"No, I'm not." She told him with a smile.
"Ikari and Sersi's kid? Cause I'm not sure we can add that into the script," He tried again and she laughed once more shaking her head.
"No I'm a human in no relation to any of these three in fact I only met them a couple days ago, I'm Corey pleasure to meet you." Corey smiled waving and he nodded.
"We need to talk?" Ikaris told Kingo but he didn't seem bothered.
"Tell the director I have some notes for him..." Kingo instructed Karun who was still standing beside me.
"We need to talk to you in private," Sprite told him pointing at Karun.
"Oh, Karun he's worked with me for 50 years. I trust him completely. Actually, when we first met, he thought I was a vampire, and he tried to stake me through the heart." Kingo told us and Corey looked at Karun.
"I have apologized so many times," Karun told them.
"Not quite enough times. Very close, though, I'll let you know." Kingo told him.
"Oh, I have to get ready for the next scene," Kingo realized. "Come to my tent we'll talk there."
"You guys are gonna love the next scene. I come in on a wire 'cause you know I can't fly," He told us.
"Wait, are we getting back together?" He questioned.
"We need to talk," Sersi told him again.
"I've been waiting for the day the world learns the true identity of the Shadow Warrior."
"Ajak's dead," Sprite told him wasting no time and Corey stared at the floor, it was a nice floor.
"She was killed. It was a Deviant." Ikaris continued.
"The Deviants are back," Ikaris told him as Karun yelled instructions to the others. "We don't know how many there are."
"You need to come with us," Ikaris told him putting a hand on his shoulder.
"I can't just go, I mean all these people depend on me," Kingo said walking over and staring at the other actors. "We just started shooting this movie, it's the first of a trilogy."
"We just got BTS to do a cameo..." His voice broke.
"Sir, may I say something?" Karun asked him.
"Please don't say anything," Kingo cut him off.
"I think you should go," Karun continued.
"I just said don't say anything!" Kingo told him.
"Life affords no greater duty than to protect one's family." Karun quoted. "Remember? It's your favourite line from the Shadow Warrior 2: Voyage of Time. Your family needs you."
Notes:
So we are all just not gonna talk about how BTS canonically exists in the MCU? Alright.

Chapter Text
They were in Kingo's jet, he'd agreed to come with them after the inspiring speech Karun gave him.
"Seven thousand years. That's how long the battle between Eternals and Deviants has raged for." Kingo narrated to the camera Karun was filming with.
"You think I'm a movie star. Well, I am. But I am also...an Eternal," He stared at the camera dramatically.
"Kingo, what are you doing?" Sprite asked him rolling their eyes.
"I think we should be remembered, so I am making a documentary about us." He told Sersi and Sprite.
"You are about to meet my fellow Eternal, Sprite. Sprite, tell them about yourself," He instructed and the camera turned to face them.
"Oh wait," Sprite said and reached beneath their jacket pulling their hand back to flip them off with a smile before disappearing.
"Okay, well, we'll circle back to them," Kingo decided.
"This is Sersi," Kingo introduced her as Ikaris sat down next to her. "Sersi, tell them about yourself."
"Uh..." Sersi trailed off staring at the camera.
"We're rolling," Kingo told her.
"Well, uh...I can change a rock into water. Uh, I could turn a rock into wood. Or a rock into metal. Actually, one time I turned a rock into air." She said getting excited.
"Cut," Kingo instructed. "Um, you know what? Why don't you think about it and we'll get back to you, okay?"
"Let's go," He said to Karun and they stood up and left.
-☼-
"Sprite says you're addicted to this thing," Ikaris nodded to Sersi's phone.
"Oh, this? Look at this." She held the phone out and it showed him with an aging filter on.
"Whoa," He laughed.
"You know, seeing as we don't age," Sersi explained.
"I think you look quite good," She clicked the button and it took a picture.
"Don't you?" She asked, them both laughing.
-☼-
"Nobody ever wonders how you managed to be the leading man for over 100 years?" Sprite asked Kingo on the opposite side of the jet.
"Oh, I don't know what you're talking about. That is my great-great-grandfather, that is my great grandfather, grandfather, father, and me. I'm part of the greatest dynasty in the history of Bollywood. Pretty impressive right?" Kingo asked.
"You abandoned me in Macedonia." Sprite reminded him annoyed.
"Okay, I got sick of moving every five years. People freak out when they notice you don't...age." He said guiltily.
"I thought we were friends," Sprite told him bitterly.
Kingo motioned to Karun to cut the recording and sat down across from Sprite.
"Do you know why I love movies?" He asked. "Because of you. I missed sitting in the audience, listening to your stories, watching your illusions."
"We should've all stayed together. Ajak would still be alive. She should never have let us go." Kingo stared at the floor.
Sprite stared at him for a minute then disappeared again not wanting to hear anymore.
They reappeared across from Corey who had been sitting alone the whole flight.
She jumped at Sprite's sudden appearance and forced a quick smile, in her hands she held a photo that Sprite could just barely see had three people. A younger-looking Corey a woman, and a man, perhaps Corey's parents?
She quickly folded up the photo and put it in her pocket, they stared at Sprite not breaking eye contact as his eyes pleaded with them to not say anything.
"Hey, that reappearing and disappearing thing you did. That's how that Deviant didn't see me and that lady. You saved my life, thank you." She said quietly breaking the brief silence between them.
"Yeah, no problem"
Sprite noticed that Corey has begun tapping her fingers together in a pattern thumb to pointer, thumb to middle, thumb to ring, thumb to pinkie then she came back the opposite way. She seemed to be making an effort to not look out the window.
"Are you alright? Is there something outside?" Sprite asked peering out the window.
"No, I'm just not a huge fan of heights or planes for that matter. One thing goes wrong and then we're falling from the sky, I-I don't know maybe it's stupid," She said and as she spoke her breathing quickened.
"Hey, it's alright Kingo's onboard they can't let a famous movie star who's a part of the greatest dynasty in history die," Sprite told her snorting and Corey gave a small smile.
"What do those pins mean?" Sprite pointed at the two different pins that were on Corey's sweater which she'd put on, hoping to distract her.
"Oh that one is the Queer or Unlabeled flag which means that I'm not straight but I don't really feel the need to label myself," Corey said pointing to the first one. "And that one is the Gender Apathetic flag which means that it doesn't matter to me what gender I'm perceived as."
"Oh cool," Sprite smiled a bit, Corey's breathing was beginning to slow but if he looked outside again it would probably start to quicken again. Sprite needed to distract her more.
"Do you want to hear a story?" Sprite asked her and Corey looked up surprised.
"Yeah sure, go ahead." She told them with a smile.
"Ok, so..."
Notes:
Sprite telling a story using their powers to keep someone from panicking even though they hate their powers and being an Eternal anyone? Anyways this chapter doesn't actually have too much Corey in it which is funny considering this whole story has to do with them, but yeah hope y'all enjoyed it!

Chapter Text
They walked through the sandy ground, the sun was hot on Corey's back and they'd taken off their sweater and were wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
"This is the Deviant you fought in London?" Kingo asked nodding to the dead body of a Deviant.
"It's different," Ikaris replied shaking his head. "There must be more out there than we thought."
"Is...is this a Deviant sir?" Karun asked Kingo.
"Yep," Kingo told him as they stared at the body.
"It's a beautiful creature," Karun gestured to it.
"What? This? This? No. It's hideous. You've never had one try to bite your head off. Roll." Kingo told him.
"So you used to fight those all the time?" Corey asked Sprite as they walked.
"Yeah."
"Wow, I could hardly last 8th grade Phys Ed class," Corey shook her head in amazement as they both laughed.
"Also love the sunglasses very fashionable," Corey told them and Sprite reddened a little but Corey didn't notice.
"You are about to meet two of the greatest warriors the world has ever known," Kingo narrated behind them.
"Thena, legendary, deadly fashionable."
"Well this is exciting," Corey smiled at Sprite.
"And her trusty friend," Kingo continued before softly whispering. "Door."
"A mighty powerhouse of strength, the fearsome Gilgamesh!"
Ikaris knocked on the door and raised an eyebrow at what was happening behind him.
"Gilgamesh!" Kingo called again.
The door opened to reveal someone with short hair, and an apron that read 'Kiss the Cook.'
"What took you so long?" He asked Ikaris.
"You look younger today, Sprite." He said walking around us.
"I have the same apron," Karun told Gilgamesh.
"Who the hell are you? And who are you?" Gilgamesh asked looking between Corey and Karun.
"Corey, frien-acquaintance of them," Corey told him gesturing to Sersi, Ikaris, and Sprite.
"I'm Kuran. Kingo's valet." Karun introduced himself.
"Oh, valet. Like Alfred in Batman," Gilgamesh pointed while Kaurn nodded.
"Gilgamesh. The Deviants are back." Ikaris told him.
"No sh*t. I could have used some help." He said.
"We were attacked by a Deviant in London, too," Sprite told him and Corey nodded eagerly.
"That's how I met them!" Corey told him brightly.
"Even Ikaris couldn't kill it," Sersi continued skipping over what Corey had said.
"You couldn't?" Gilgamesh asked him.
"I was distracted," Ikaris told them.
"Sure, man." Gilgamesh laughed.
"Hey, you guys wanna try my pie?" He asked.
"Yes 100%!" Corey said shaking her hands out at her sides excited.
"I'm sorry, Gil. Ajak's dead," Ikaris told him and Corey looked at him, why ruin the dudes' happy mood?
"It's true buddy. We lost her," Sprite told him and Corey fixed her eyes on the pie to avoid looking at Gilgamesh's crestfallen face.
Gilgamesh's hands fell to his side and the pie slid out of the pan and onto the floor.
"No," Corey sighed looking at the pie which sat on the floor.
Gilgamesh sat down in the chair and slowly he broke the pie tin, Sersi and Ikaris turned around and Corey followed their gaze close to a wind-blown tree there sat someone dressed entirely in white.
Gilgamesh led them over to the woman by the tree, she sat crossed-legged on the ground and seemed to be drawing something.
"Sersi," Gilgamesh held out his arm in front of her.
"The attack triggered her," He explained. "She's no fun to be around right now."
"Hey, Thena," Gilgamesh called to the tree women. "Look who's here."
"Give me your hand," He instructed.
The woman stood up easily turning around and drawing a weapon out of nothing, not that Corey noticed but Sprite immediately stepped in front of her in case they would need to protect her.
"Thena," Gilgamesh warned.
"Everyone in Centurie-6 is going to die," Thena spoke her eyes white.
"That's...pleasant," Corey whispered and Sprite raised an eyebrow at them.
"Give me your hand," Gilgamesh asked her again.
"It's too late. We can't save them," Thena continued still looking as if she was ready for battle.
"Thena," Gilgamesh repeated, Thena pulled another weapon out of nowhere.
Then something seemed to happen around them, a sort of dome appeared out of thin air.
"Thena," Sprite spoke holding their hands out as they created the illusion, they had one eye on Thena and one on Corey.
"We came to Earth together on our ship," Sprite's voice echoed through the dome as they created different illusions showing Thena.
"Beautiful," Corey whispered as they watched, they'd seen Sprite do this on the plane when they told them a story but it was still wondrous to watch.
"You're an Eternal," Sprite reminded her. "The greatest warrior of Olympia."
"The legendary protector of Athens," Sprite continued a smile growing on their face as they recalled the pleasant memories. "The goddess of war."
"Remember who you are."
Thena's weapons disappeared and Thena held her hand out, Gilgamesh reached out and clasped it intertwining their fingers.
"Remember," Gilgamesh repeated.
Thena's eyes returned to normal and the dome faded away.
"Thena," Ikaris greeted.
"Hi," Kingo waved and so did Sprite.
"Hello," Thena returned.
"Hey, who's your gardener?" Kingo asked.
-☼-
They sat around a table that was filled with food, Corey sat next to Sprite as people ate.
"Here try this it's always good," Sprite told Corey quietly giving her something off their plate. Corey felt a bit out of place in the whole setting and Sprite had noticed.
Corey tried some of the food and her face lit up instantly.
"This is really good!"
"This is just what you guys eat every day?" Kingo asked.
"Yeah, this is amazing."
"Thank you for this," Ikaris thanked Gilgamesh.
"Oh, you're welcome. Help yourself." Gilgamesh told him.
"This one is a trio of wine, beer, and mead." Gilgamesh picked it up and Corey scrunched up her nose in slight disgust. "Made for all the solider in the battle of Troy."
"That's so thoughtful," Karun smiled as Gilgamesh put his hands on Karun's shoulders.
"Should she be drinking?" Kingo asked Gilgamesh looking at Thena.
"No, hers is non-alchohlic. For kids." He whispered. "I gave you the same thing, Sprite." And both he and Kingo laughed.
Corey smiled a little and took a bit of her own drink, he'd already said that hers didn't contain any alcohol.
"For kids," Kingo echoed and Corey looked at Sprite a smile playing on her lips that she was still trying to suppress.
"I was just kidding," Gilgamesh told them as Sprite waved their hand, Corey raised an eyebrow. "Yours is a secret brew Odin taught me as a thank you..."
His clothes transformed into those of a baby and Corey almost snorted into her drink as she watched.
"...after we helped defeat Laufey's army in Tonsburg."
Laughter echoed through the room as Gilgamesh stared confused.
"What? Oh. I'm a big baby. Very mature, can you stop? Stop," He requested and Sprite waved their hand again and the baby clothes illusion fell away.
"I need to go for a minute," Corey whispered quietly slipping away from the table.
She made her way outside and stared at the dunes of sand that surrounded them.
"Deep breaths," She mumbled to herself.
"What are you doing out here?" Corey heard a voice behind her and turned to see Sersi.
"Just taking a break for a bit, lots of people surprisingly aren't my thing, especially family stuff..." Corey said and Sersi raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
"I think Sprite likes having you around if that means anything," She told her and Corey scratched the back of her neck as a smile crossed her face.
"Do you ever think they get lonely out here? All by themselves? I mean the endless stretches of sand feel so enclosed, almost like I'm trapped by the nothing." Corey asked staring out into the distance.
"I think they like that, the peace," Sersi told her and Corey nodded.
"Well, I guess I'll go back in," Corey moved towards the door.
"Yeah, just one question. Why did you come back?" Sersi asked her and Corey turned around.
"What do you mean?" Corey asked tilting her head.
"With the Deviant, even after you and that lady were safe you came back, why?" Sersi explained.
"I guess I didn't want anyone to get hurt, I didn't want anyone to die when there was a chance that I could've gotten them out, I could've helped them." Corey nodded to himself as if that reason made sense.
"Hm," Sersi mused.
Corey shot her another smile then slipped back inside.
"You alright?" Sprite asked her worried as she sat down.
"Yeah, I am," Corey smiled.
-☼-
They sat in the dark, the candles illuminating the room just barely enough for Corey to see the worry on everyone's face. Sersi had told us about her visit with Arishem, Earth was going to die, the Eternals had been through this before but their memories were wiped and stored, and the Eternals weren't alive. Those were the main three details.
"So, you're saying we're basically fancy robots?" Kingo asked breaking the heavy silence. "And our past memories are stored somewhere in space?"
"And Arishem made the Deviants," Sersi said.
"I'm sorry, Thena. You tried to warn us." Gilgamesh apologized.
"The last time Arishem reset your memories, something must have gone wrong." Sprite reasoned.
"What do you mean?" Kingo asked.
"Well that's what Mahd Wy'ry is, isn't it? All this time, Thena was remembering all the other planets we were sent to and everyone dying during the emergence."
"I thought we were heroes, turns out we were the bad guys." Gilgamesh sighed.
"We're not the bad guys, okay?" Kingo said. "We've helped the Celestials expand life across the universe. That's not what bad guys do. That's what good guys do."
"I don't think there really is bad and good, especially not in this case. You all fall in the grey area, you aren't the heroes yet you certainly aren't the villains. You're just you," Corey reasoned but she had tears in her eyes and her voice was unusually shaky.
"Evey time innocent lives have been sacrificed for the greater good, it turns out to be a mistake. We have to stop the Emergence." Sersi reasoned and Corey chewed at her lip.
"Sersi, we have no right to stop the birth of a Celestial," Kingo told her.
"There has to be a way Tiamut can emerge without destroying the Earth. We just have to delay it until we figure out how." Sersi reasoned.
"Could Druig control its mind?" Gilgamesh asked and Corey's head shot up and she cocked it to the side, she knew not who Druig was. "Maybe put it to sleep?"
"Put it to sleep?" Sprite repeated. "Are you serious?"
"Gilgamesh asked Druig to put me to sleep once," Thena recalled.
"So I could take a vacation to Fiji, you know?" Gilgamesh joked.
"We're talking about a Celestial, okay?" Kingo reminded them.
"We have to try," Sersi said. "Come on we're not going to let everyone on Earth die, right?"
"Right," Karun agreed and Corey smiled.
"I'm a human. I'm a little biased." Karun answered and Corey nodded, she was as well.
Kingo said something in Hindi.
"And do what?" Karun answered. "Watch TV? When I could be with the Earth's original superheroes as they try to save the world?"
"Fine," Kingo relented. "If you want to, stay."
"Thank you very much, sir," Karun thanked him.
"Gilgamesh, could you please get rid of the saliva beer?" Kingo requested.
"I thought you liked it, man."
"We need to go. Now." Ikaris spoke. "Find the others. Once we're all together, we'll decide what to do about the Emergence."
"Wait so very important question," Corey asked and they looked at her. "Can you guys like breath in space air then, cause like how do you survive then?"
Notes:
This doesn't have too much of an upbeat Corey vibe which I suppose makes sense since it discusses the end of the world so I hope that's ok with y'all. Anyways, hope y'all are doing well :)

Chapter Text
They walked along the crisscrossed path of the jungle, Sprite had told Corey that they would find Druig here. They'd also explained who Druig was.
Corey walked alongside Sprite sneaking glances at the Eternals' face, emotions masked but she could see the thoughts that Sprite was drowning in, their eyes gave it away.
They came to the edge of the path which led to a small village where people milled about chattering to one another.
The people walked by and stared at them, some waved and smiled others side-eyed them and walked by quickly.
Kingo said something in Spanish to someone, Karun had pulled out the camera again and was filming.
"It's very nice here, sir," Karun said and Corey smiled nodding her head in agreement.
"Peaceful," She murmured and Sprite looked up at her for a moment.
"Don't be fooled," Kingo said behind them. "Ignorance is bliss."
Sprite and Corey walked up to someone and Sprite began speaking Spanish. Corey spun around quickly amazed at the village.
Suddenly the person Sprite had been talking to changed, their eyes went yellow and Corey jumped back startled.
"Hello, Sprite," The person greeted but their voice didn't sound quite their own.
The doors to one of the buildings opened slowly and someone walked out, they walked over to greet them.
"I missed all of you," They said. "Please, make yourselves at home."
-☼-
They sat inside one of the buildings it had picnic tables and Corey sat on the edge of one. Her legs crisscrossed as she rocked back and forth slightly.
"You've given me a lot of bad news in one go, my lady," Druig spoke, they'd explained to him what had happened and what would happen.
"Will you help us?" Sersi asked hopefully.
"I am glad that..." He was cut off by the sound of a ring tone to Lizzo's song Juice.
Corey smiled and nodded her head along slightly as Sersi fumbled for her phone and silenced it.
"Hey, what's your service? I'm not getting any bars." Kingo whispered to her and Corey looked at her own phone, no bars.
"Do you all remember this forest? Beautiful. It was the last place we all lived together," He said walking over to Thena and Gilgamesh.
"I've protected these people for 20 generations now from the outside world and from themselves." He said walking toward Kingo and Karun, Kingo had motioned for Karun to stop filming for the moment.
"Your kind, my friend, you will be responsible for your own extinction one day. Don't you think?" Druig said to Karun.
"I think we must learn from our mistakes and do better, sir. You must not give up hope-" He didn't get to finish before Druig took control of his mind and forced him to throw the camera breaking it. Corey winced at the noise and put their hands to their ears.
"Oh no you didn't," Kingo said standing up. "Okay, new rule, no more possessing people's valets."
"Oh, where is your sense of humour Kingo?" Druig asked as they stood face to face.
"I'm sorry, sir," Karun apologized.
"Don't apologize it's not your fault," Kingo told him before turning back to face Druig. "You are not a god. You know that right?"
"How ironic. Kingo, the movie star."
"I've directed some things too," Kingo told him.
"Oh yeah? Like what?"
"Some Internet content."
"How many views?"
"I don't do it for the views," Whether or not this answer satisfied Druig he turned away and his eyes found the other human in the room, Corey.
"Hi," She waved unsure of what else to do.
"And you, you stand among these people as if you are one of them. What do you need to fill that family-sized hole in your heart?" He mocked her and she stared at the floor.
"Let's go. He's wasting our time," Ikaris said walking towards them and Corey sighed gratefully for the attention to no longer be on her.
"We need him," Sersi reminded him.
"Ikaris," Druig turned to him. "I missed you. Are you gonna charm me or threaten me?"
"I mean, there's a third option if you prefer that."
"It must be heartbreaking to find out that you're not Mother's favourite."
"I thought you didn't have a mother?" Corey whispered to Sprite who looked at them shaking their head.
"And I'm sure she'd be real proud of what you've been up to."
"Druig, this is serious." Sersi interrupted.
"I'll tell you what's serious. I've just been told I've been sent on a suicide mission for the past 7, 000 years, and that my entire existence is a lie." He said looking back at Ikaris for a moment.
"So excuse me for not giving a sh*t about your plan right now," He walked back to Ikaris.
"Did you know that the severed head of a sea slug can grow a whole new body?" Corey interrupted suddenly and they stared at her.
"Yeah, I didn't either. Oh, sorry bad time." She said going silent again when she saw the look on their faces.
Then Druig left.
"Druig sucks," Kingo said after he'd left.
"He does, sir," Karun agreed.
-☼-
"I like watching him too," Kingo interrupted Sprite's thoughts as they watched Ikaris for a moment.
"Jeez," Sprite said looking behind them.
"I don't think it's creepy at all," Kingo continued.
"Have you read Peter Pan? Okay, so to me, Ikaris, is Peter, Sersi is Wendy, you are Tinker Bell for obvious reasons, and the rest of us are the Lost Boys." Kingo figured.
"What's your point?" Sprite asked walking away annoyed.
"Tinker Bell's always been in love with Peter. And it's hard for her 'cause she can never be with him. I'm sorry, Sprite. But you know the good thing about love is that you can be in love with more than one person, and a lot of the time when you find the right person, they'll love you back."
Sprite looked into the distance where they could see Corey trying to figure out how to do a cartwheel, they tried once and failed and then tried again. This time they managed slightly, although their knees were bent. They punched their first to the sky in triumph and their shouts of 'I did it!' echoed through the forest.
"Kingo...why did Arishem make me this way?" Sprite asked after the smile that Corey's cartwheel had caused, faded.
"I don't know, but when you find the right person they'll love you no matter what or who you are. And sometimes that person is right in front of you."
Sprite turned to look and saw that Karun had been filming the whole thing, annoyed at having their secret filmed they stomped over.
"I thought you broke it."
"Always bring backups," Karun answered.
Sprite took the camera and threw it to the ground and broke it, before walking away.
"You have a very angry family, sir," Karun said to Kingo. "Yeah, it's a big issue."
"Hey Sprite!" Corey called cheerfully as Sprite walked toward him.
"Are you alright, you seem upset?" Corey asked them taking Sprite's hand in their own.
"Yeah, I'm okay," Sprite told her.
"Okay...if you need anything let me know. Also, I mastered the art of the cartwheel!" Corey told them a huge smile on their face.
"That's great, do you want to show me or..?" Sprite asked a small smile playing across their lips.
"Sure, sure okay watch!" They attempted the cartwheel, it wasn't perfect and Corey landed on her back laughing but it made Sprite feel a bit better.
"Are you alright? Here," They extended their hand and helped Corey up off the ground, she smiled at Sprite.
"Yeah thanks, guess I haven't quite mastered it," She said and Sprite smiled.
They paused for a moment staring at each other smiling.
The sound of Sersi screaming broke them out of the moment and they exchanged worried looks before running to find her.
They reached the others.
"Get behind me!" Kingo shouted sending energy shots at the Deviants
"One of them took Ikaris!" Sersi told us and Corey chewed at her lip worried.
"It's an ambush!" Kingo realized before sending more shots at the Deviant knocking over one of the hut houses.
"Very nice, sir!" Karun spoke from behind a tree.
"Are you mental? Hide!" Kingo told him.
"We need action sequences!" Karun told him. "Sir!"
"Sprite, get Karun and Corey out of here!" Kingo ordered them.
And Sprite grabbed Corey's wrist and tried to get Karun to move.
"How many cameras did you bring, young man?" Sprite asked.
The sound of Deviants was everywhere they surrounded Corey's ears with their screeching.
"Corey-" Sprite tried to warn her about the Deviant behind her.
Corey turned around she'd pulled out her metal water bottle from her bag and hit the Deviant dead on in the face as it tried to claw at them.
"No! Go away!" Corey yelled as the thing backed off, it didn't seem to be injured but Corey looked ready to hit it again.
The thing ran off as Kingo sent an energy blast and Corey had time to study her water bottle.
"Man, it's dented!" She said disappointed and Sprite stared at her.
"I'll get you a new one, but that was cool, I mean you're a human!" Sprite stared at her somewhat amazed.
"Well c'mon let's get to safety," She smiled at Sprite which made Sprite redden slightly, luckily the darkness covered it.
"Stay here for a minute," Sprite ordered the two of them.
"Be careful!" Corey yelled as Sprite ran back.
"Sprite buy me some time!" Kingo shouted and Sprite summoned a dagger and raced towards the Deviant.
"Whoa, whoa," Sprite yelled as they hung on to the Deviant by their dagger. "Can you hurry up?"
Kingo had been summoning a large amount of energy.
"Now!" He yelled and Sprite let go falling to the floor, Corey reached them and held them before they managed to hit the floor.
"Dishoom" Kingo said as he slid beneath the Deviant and the energy shot the thing's head off spraying its guts and blood everywhere.
"Karun, did you get that?" Kingo yelled.
"I did, sir!" Karun answered.
"I thought I told you to stay there?" Sprite asked standing up.
"And I thought I told you to be careful," Corey retorted.
"Kingo!" Sprite and Corey rushed to Kingo's side as he got shot into a hut.
"Just go," He told them as he tried to summon more energy.
"I'm not leaving you," Sprite said making the trees around them duplicate.
"I'm not either," Corey told him redying her dented water bottle.
Ikaris managed to shoot the thing away and they crashed into another hut house.
They fought around and eventually Sersi ran up and stabbed the Deviant with something.
The thing pushed her back and she crashed into a water thing.
Then something shot out of the water it resembled a tree or something, they all stared at it in awe.
"Sersi! Are you alright?" Ikaris asked jumping into the water and hugging her.
"How did you do that?" He asked.
"I don't know."
Ikaris zoomed off and Corey ran after him jumping through the forest, she felt as if she needed to. She didn't know where Thena and Gilgamesh were, was that where Ikaris was going?
She reached the clearing to see Thena crying over Gilgamesh's body, she walked sadly to her side. His eyes were still open but they saw nothing, he was gone.
Corey put a hand lightly on Thena's shoulder and knelt down next to Gilgamesh.
"Do you mind if I..." Corey reached forward and pressed his eyelids closed. "There now he's sleeping, he looks more, more peaceful this way."
She gave a small smile to Thena who was crying her breathing ragged.
The others had come now and stared at the sight with sadness.
"It will be alright," Corey comforted her as tears fell down her cheeks as well.
They held a funeral fire for him, bowing their heads in respect for the lost life. Corey wasn't sure if they were burning his body but either way, she bowed her head and paid her respects
Notes:
So both Lizzo and BTS exist in the MCU, yeah also death. Anyways this shouldn't be too sad cause I don't think I wrote it too sad, well I hope y'all are doing alright.

Chapter Text
They were in Iraq now, they'd gotten another Eternal, Phastos. Now they needed their ship and the last Eternal who was on this ship.
Druig had mind-controlled the sciency people who'd been digging up something as Sprite made them visible again.
Corey walked beside Sprite, waddling along like a little duck.
Phastos made some sort of holographic energy thing of what Corey assumed to be their ship and the ground began falling away in front of them while their ship rose.
Sprite took off their sunglasses and Corey stared in wonder, no matter what happened on this trip everything still seemed to amaze him.
"The Domo," Karun said behind them as he filmed the ship.
"That was awesome!" Corey smiled.
-☼-
"A foreboding atmosphere fills the air," Kingo narrated as they walked down the corridor. "An eerie stillness chokes our lungs."
"What are you doing?" Phastos asked from behind him. "You know you are creeping us out. You know that, right?"
A bang came and Corey grabbed Sprite's hand out of fear.
Oh! Oh god! Stay calm T, please!" He looked down at where Thena had stepped on a bag of crisps which had caused the noise. "Chips. It's just chips."
Sprite reddened as they realized that they and Corey were not only still holding hands but it had been caught on film by the camera Karun was using. Corey let go itching the back of her neck as she gave Sprite a side-eye to see how they'd reacted.
"As you can see, being an Eternal does not preclude you from having human emotions such as cowardice." Kingo continued.
They stopped and looked out into a room, it was lined with books and on a sort of chair/throne, there was somebody who seemed to be speed-reading, flipping through the pages of a book while they scanned and memorized the information.
"What has she done?" Phastos asked. "Is that...a sarcophagus in my lab?"
"This is Makkari. Or should I say, Miss Havisham? None of us have seen her for centuries."
Makkari signed something and Corey looked to Sprite who seemed determined to look anywhere but at her.
"Can someone tell me what she just said, cause I only know British Sign Language and I'm assuming that considering you're an entirely different species you have your own sign language?" Corey reasoned.
"I think there's a book in here somewhere that has a bit, like a beginners guide, I'll see if I can find it later," Druig told her and she looked up hopeful, he was the person she'd least expected to help her with this but she was very grateful.
"Hmm."
-☼-
Phastos was working on something while the others stood about, looking at Makkari's treasures.
Thena swung a sword around, testing how it felt.
"Is that the Ebony Blade?" Sprite asked her putting down the scroll they'd been reading.
"Excalibur."
She swung it around and sliced through the air.
"Arthur always did have a crush on you," Sprite recalled.
"These scrolls are really cool, I have no idea what any of them say cause they all seem to be in other languages, but they're really cool," Corey told Sprite holding up a scroll.
"That one depicts an ancient ritual which brings back the dead by peeing on a sheep," Sprite told Corey and she looked at the scroll once before putting it down.
"Yeah, most of them are really cool, that one not so much," She said and they both laughed.
"Phastos, I need to control the mind of a Celestial," Druig told him.
"Okay, get ready for it," He did some tech stuff and some glowy bracelets appeared.
"Bracelets? You made us bracelets?" Kingo asked him.
"So, here's a little Celestial 101. Celestials are the most powerful energy generators in the universe. When Arishem made us he imbued us with infinite cosmic energy to keep our bodies regenerating. The bracelets in theory shut down our regeneration process. And once that happens, our bodies accumulate extra-cosmic energy." Phastos explained.
"What for?" Sersi asked.
"Well, if the Deviants can absorb our energy, what if we can absorb each other's energy as well? If I can find a way to connect us all, one of us could become immensely powerful pulling the accumulated energy from the rest, forming...a Uni-Mind." He finished looking content with his idea.
"'Uni' meaning 'one' 'mind meaning 'mind'" Phastos further explained when nobody reacted.
"Oh, no, we heard you the first time," Kingo told him.
"Terrible name," Sprite told him.
"We'll brainstorm...Brainstorm!" That's a way better name!" Kingo realized.
"No, I invented it, so I'm calling it whatever I want." Phastos protested.
Makkari signed something, and Corey managed to catch a couple of words. Druig had found the book and she'd begun studying it. She looked to Sprite who then whispered the words softly for her.
"We find humans a new home on another planet," Sersi told them and Corey nodded, sounded fair.
"Are we building a big ship too?" Sprite asked. "Take a pair of each animal?"
"Well, you know what's never saved the planet?" Phastos asked. "Your sarcasm."
Corey laughed inwardly but managed to keep it to a smile.
"Space colonization could take decades," Sprite argued.
"It could happen quickly with our help," Sersi reasoned.
"What if we end up accidentally killing Tiamut?" Kingo asked. "We could be responsible for billions of lives not being created across the universe. Boss, am I right?"
"Say something Ikaris," Sprite requested. "You don't think we should be doing this."
"Ajak chose Sersi to lead us. Sersi should decide." Ikaris said and they looked over at Sersi.
"So we're just gonna pass the decision around?" Corey asked suddenly and they looked at her.
"You all have the responsibility of deciding whether or not billions of people on Earth die and you're just gonna act like it isn't a big deal. You don't have to worry about what comes next, because if Earth dies, if I die I don't come back I'm dead. If this place blows up, you all get your memories wiped and get to go on with your lives I don't get the luxury of that." Corey's voice broke and she stared at them, she looked close to tears.
With that she left the room, walking down the hallway and out of the ship.
Corey sat down on an oddly shaped rock, the sun was sweltering pushing its heat against her, she had a Celestial to thank for that sun but she couldn't just let her planet die, right?
She pulled out her phone and tried to call her grandma but the call wasn't going through and she put her phone away, defeated. Maybe he should go back in there and apologize.
Sprite came out looking upset and sat down on the rock next to her. They sat in silence for a couple minutes.
"Do you hate me?" Corey asked suddenly and Sprite looked up at her, they were staring at the sand by their feet.
"N-why are you asking that?" Sprite asked and Corey looked up.
"Well, it kinda seems like you want to destroy the entire planet so is it because of me? Did I do something and now you want to kill everyone?" She asked them and Sprite shook their head.
"It's not your fault," They reassured them.
"Oh," She paused for a moment and a spider crawled up the side of the rock.
Corey screamed and stood up, Sprite watched her amused.
"You're scared of spiders?" Sprite asked her.
"Spiders, clowns, heights, planes, Hansel and Gretal." She listed and Sprite held up a hand, signifying for her to stop.
"Hansel and Gretal?" Sprite asked.
"They pushed a witch into an oven, those two fear nothing," Corey told them and Sprite laughed.
"Mhm, here the spider can go there," Sprite flicked the spider off the rock and Corey reluctantly sat down.
"Very important question what do you think about the nickname Sodapop?" Corey asked them and Sprite tilted their head.
"Sodapop?"
"You know cause Sprite's a pop or soda and your name is Sprite," Corey explained.
"Do I really get a say?"
"Nope."
"Ok then I suppose it's alright, how do you feel about the nickname Core?" Sprite asked and Corey thought it over.
"Sure!"
They stopped for a moment, Corey was playing with her hands when Sprite asked her something.
"Do you mind if I kiss you?"
"Yeah sure, wait wh-" And they kissed for a moment before Sprite pulled away and sat up quickly.
"Are you alright?" Corey asked them getting up, Sprite stared at her for a minute before running back inside the ship mumbling about how doing that was wrong.
"Oh, well that was...nice," Corey sighed before smiling and walking back inside.
Notes:
Yeah um hey, we got a bit of Corey feeling anger and sadness in this chapter. I just want to make a reminder that while Corey is a more happy and upbeat type of character she still feels things like anger, sadness, fear, etc. And that's to remind y'all that you don't need to be happy all the time you are human and your emotions are a part of you, you are valid no matter what emotion you feel. There are no such thing as good and bad emotions because all emotions are just that emotions, you can be happy, sad, angry, scared or whatever and you are still you.

Chapter Text
Corey sat on a table cross-legged eating Fuzzy Peaches, when the beeping started it was coming from the globe-type thing in the center of the room and Sersi came running in almost as soon as it started.
"Oh no, my god." Phastos groaned worried.
"What about the Uni-Mind?" Sersi asked him.
"I haven't figured out a way to connect us but I'm close. I'm very very close," Phastos told her.
"How much longer?" Sersi questioned.
"I don't know, Sersi!" He yelled. Corey popped another Fuzzy Peach in her mouth trying not to think about the end of the world.
"Find the point of emergence," Phastos ordered Makkari who disappeared at lightning pace.
Ikaris came in dressed as if he was ready for battle.
"I'm close to figuring it out-" If there was something Phastos wanted to say after he didn't get the chance. Ikaris laser-eyed the thing and Phastos fell backward, Corey covered her ears the noise pounding in her skull.
"Boss, what are you doing?" Kingo asked him.
"I've let this go on long enough," Ikaris told him and Corey sat on the table watching, unsure as to what exactly was happening.
"Don't hurt him!" Sersi yelled running to Phastos's side, helping him up. "He lied to us."
"He already knew about the emergence," Sersi told them, Corey seemed frozen in place, in shock, and in fear.
"No, he didn't," Kingo argued.
"Ajak told me everything when we left Babylon," Ikaris said.
"What?" Kingo asked.
"You were never gonna let us stop the emergence," Phastos realized.
"No," Ikaris confirmed. "I only wanted to protect you from the Deviants."
"If Ajak wanted you to take her place, why did she choose me?" Sersi asked and Ikaris looked away.
"What have you done?" She asked staring into his eyes.
"He killed her," Druig told them and Corey choked on her Fuzzy Peach coughing a couple times.
"What?" Corey asked tilting her head as she stared at Ikaris.
"I had to," Ikaris said.
"She loved you."
"Did she?" Ikaris asked.
"She loved you," Sersi repeated.
"Do you think it was easy to live with the truth?" Ikaris asked. "To know that one day this would all end? To keep on lying to you?"
"If we gave humanity the choice, how many of them would be willing to die so that billions more could be born?" Ikaris asked.
"We're not giving them a choice," Phastos reminded him. "Is this why you're willing to kill? You are so pathetic!"
"I'm an Eternal, Phastos, I exist for Arishem. As do you, it's who you are." Ikaris told him.
"I wouldn't change a single thing about who I am. Born or made. But I do not exist for Arishem. I exist for my family!" Phastos told him and Corey nodded.
"Then you're making the same mistake Ajak did," Ikaris told him.
Just then Makkari zoomed back into the room. She signed that she'd found Tiamut (the book was really coming in handy.)
Ikaris laser-eyed her but Kingo managed to jump in front.
"Get out of here!" Kingo warned her and she took off again.
"Kingo," Ikaris warned him, Kingo created one of his energy balls.
"You do not turn against your family," Kingo told him raising the shot level to Ikaris. "Gilgamesh died because of you."
"You won't succeed against me. And I will kill every one of you if I have to," He told us and Sersi cried softly.
He turned and began walking away.
"Wait," Sprite ordered him. "I'm going with you." Those four words broke Corey's heart, she stared at Sprite now, trying not to cry. Did this have to do with what happened at the rock?
"Sprite..." Sersi and the others watched as Sprite went and stood by Ikaris.
"No," Corey said quietly enough that no one should have heard it, but Sersi seemed to.
"What is this?" Thena asked walking in from another room.
Sprite waved their arms and they disappeared in a flurry of ashes or bats or something.
-☼-
"Why did Sprite go with Ikaris?" Makkari signed.
"Because they love him," Kingo told them and this caused Corey to lift her head up and instinctively touch her lips an action that did not go unnoticed by Sersi. "Oh, you guys didn't pick up on that."
"He really fooled us, didn't he? Karun, let's go."
"Wait, where the hell are you going?" Phastos asked.
"I can't help you guys, I still think Ikaris is right," Kingo told them.
"So that's it huh? Just gonna follow him?" Phastos asked.
Corey stood up her Fuzzy Peach forgotten and walked out of the room and down the hallway, away from what had just happened, she didn't need to hear any more of it. Tears ran down her face, but she didn't see the point in wiping them away.
He sat down on the oddly shaped rock and looked to the side, where Sprite had sat.
Corey chewed at her lip, trying to make sense of it all.
Then Sersi walked out and sat down next to her.
"Hi," Corey mumbled quietly.
"Hm," Sersi hummed a response.
"I'm sorry about...about it all," Corey told her and Sersi nodded.
"You loved Sprite," Sersi said it as a statement but it sounded like a question.
"I-I guess, I mean we kissed so, yeah yeah I love them," Corey realized.
"And I loved Ikaris," Sersi nodded.
"Well, I guess we both got unlucky, but you got that dude from before Dave or Dane or something?" Corey asked and Sersi laughed a small bit a brief smile.
"Yeah, Dane."
"Does this mean that's it? I mean is Sprite never gonna love me back, like I thought they did but then they didn't," Corey stared at her hands, a couple of stray tears falling.
"I'm not sure Corey, that's up to Sprite," Sersi told him and they nodded.
"Mhm."
They stayed there for a bit in silence, the sun beating down on them as an unpleasant reminder.
"We can send you home, I don't imagine you would fight well, no offence. Phastos probably has something that can get you home, get you back to your Grandma in case we do fail," Sersi offered and Corey thought it over.
"I'm okay, I think I need to stay here, maybe not to fight but if there's another way I can help," Corey told her and Sersi stood up a small smile barely a flicker.
"You're a brave human, Corey," Sprite told her.
"You're a brave Eternal, Sersi," Corey returned with a smile.
Sersi turned and walked back inside, leaving Corey alone with her thoughts once more.

There is some implied/referenced homophobia in this chapter, but it is brief. Just thought I would warn y'all!

Chapter Text
It was magical watching Phastos work, the way the orb bent to his will. He'd removed it from Sersi and was trying to find a way to repurpose it, so it could activate the Uni-Mind.
"So how will we do this?" Druig asked them and Corey looked up curious, she'd changed into a shirt and jeans with some sunflower earrings an outfit she'd said would be better for fighting in (she probably wasn't going to be doing much fighting though.)
"Thena will take care of Ikairs, the rest of us will work towards getting Uni-Mind working," Sersi explained not going too into detail.
"What about Sprite, surely they don't want us to succeed?" Makkari signed.
"Don't worry we have a distraction for Sprite," Sersi looked over at Corey who smiled and waved.
-☼-
Corey walked up to the top of the hill-mountain that she'd seen Sprite on. Sprite was staring away at something off in the distance.
"Sodapop," Corey greeted through deep breaths. "Next time you really need to choose a place closer to the ground, I am so tired."
"What are you doing here?" Sprite asked looking at her warily.
"The world's ending, I came to see you," Corey told them, then she heard a crash as the Domo crashed into the ground.
"Oh, that does not look good, that goodness I am not on that flight," Corey shook her head, she hoped no one was injured.
"Corey, you need to go," Sprite warned him.
"And do what, make popcorn while the world ends?" Corey questioned.
"I think I-no I do love you, Sprite," Corey said taking Sprite's hands in her own. "I get it if you don't love me back but I figured that since the world was ending I should probably tell you."
"No, you can't-"
"And I get that this may be confusing, hey it's confusing for me too but I do love you that much is true." Then the volcano exploded and lava rocks began raining down from the sky.
"Ah!" Corey covered her head with her hands as if that would protect her.
When the rocks stopped falling Corey put her hands down, taking something out of her pocket. It was one of her rings that Sprite had seen her wearing before now on a string.
"In case it doesn't work out this way even if you forget me you still have a piece of me with you," Corey said and she slipped the necklace over Sprite's head.
Corey went and sat down on the edge of the cliff facing the water and took the picture from before holding it out. Sprite stood behind her, watching.
"You know I love sunflowers, I always found it fascinating that they could turn to face the sun like they were finding the light in dark times," Corey said randomly, she looked up at Sprite with a smile then back at the picture, her smile fading.
"That right there is my mom and dad," Corey told them pointing to the people in the picture. "And that is me. Come sit down with me."
Sprite hesitantly sat down next to her and Corey smiled.
"Do you want to hear a story?" Corey asked. "The story of why I live with my grandma instead of my parents?"
Sprite said nothing just stared.
"Man, tough crowd. Anyways a couple years back I was living with my parents and life was good I mean except that like half the population had been blipped, but other than that life was good. And one night I decided that it was time they knew so I said 'Mom, Dad I'm queer.' And I guess they didn't take it very well 'cause next thing I know I needed to leave to live with my grandma." Corey paused for a minute before taking a deep breath and continuing.
"So I left, and now I live with my grandma. Mind you it is a lot better there, I'm happier, I just sometimes wish that my parents could love me the way they used to. That I could see them again and have them hug me and tell me they loved me. But I guess it just wasn't fate." Corey finished chewing at her lip.
"I'm sorry Core," Sprite said and Corey smiled.
"Well, I guess I don't really need this anymore," Corey ripped the photo into shreds letting them blow away in the wind, fluttering down.
"I loved being around you guys, the Eternals. Cause it sort of felt like a family. A strange, yes, but nice family." Corey told them tapping Sprite's hand a couple times.
"They aren't a family, certainly not to you, I mean the world is ending and they send you up here? Unarmed?" Sprite reasoned.
"First off, I'm not unarmed I have my metal water bottle handy. Second, I'm on a mission," Corey told them.
"Mhm, what mission is that?" Sprite asked her, turning to face Corey so they were both staring into one another's eyes.
"My mission was to well, distract you," Corey told them with a smile, and Sprite shot up and looked around worried.
"I want you to know that everything I've said to you is true, it always has been," Corey told them.
Sprite began running down the side of the hill before waving their hands and going invisible.
"Seriously now I've got to go back down!" Corey groaned.
-☼-
The ground was uneven, Corey jumped over jagged pieces of rock trying to avoid falling into the lava and being burned to death.
Suddenly there were a thousand more volcanos surrounding them, Sprite.
Corey looked up ahead and could see the figure of Sersi sitting on the floor and Sprite standing above her, Druig was behind Sprite then he picked up a piece of rock and smacked it down on their head, and they fell over.
"Well, that was very moving," She could hear Druig say.
Corey ran over and knelt down on the floor picking up Sprite's limp body and laying them over their legs.
Druig helped Sersi up and Corey looked over, Sersi had been stabbed the blade going in her back and out her stomach, she changed it to water.
"I can't do this," He told Sersi. "This is your fight now."
Sersi nodded before running towards the volcano.
"How hard did you hit them?" Corey asked Druig and he turned around.
"What?"
"Well, you've probably given them a concussion, you guys can get concussions right?" Corey asked and he sighed walking a bit away behind them.
"So now he's just gonna leave, great," Corey mumbled sarcastically, quiet enough that he wouldn't hear, shaking her head although there was a smile on her face.
"Do you that hair and nails grow faster when you're pregnant? Not that I've been pregnant, I just heard that fact somewhere," Corey told Sprite even though they probably couldn't hear her.
"Also some sea snakes can breathe through their skin? How cool is that, I can't breathe through my skin just my mouth and my nose," Corey continued.
She looked down at Sprite who was resting on her legs.
"It's gonna be alright, when you wake up and this whole thing is over I'll help you figure something out. Besides, I think Sersi will be pretty forgiving," Corey whispered.
Then she began humming softly, playing with Sprite's hair gently as she hummed the sound buzzing in her mouth.
Corey looked over and she could see something gold emerging from the water, Tiamut.
He looked in the direction Sersi had gone.
"It's going to be ok, it's going to be ok," They repeated over and over again, holding Sprite's body tightly afraid it would fall as the Earth shook.
Her breathing quickened as Druig began walking back to the two of them, he hadn't gone far.
She wasn't going to die, she wasn't going to die, she wasn't going to die, she repeated it to herself trying to calm down as she rocked back and forth shaking.
The ground slowly seemed to fade away, leaving gold beneath them. They were on Tiamut's hand.
Then slowly the gold went cold and turned to ice.
The ice came rushing across and Corey could've sworn she'd seen Ikaris fly above.
Sprite seemed to wake up looking around confused, Corey took their hand and helped them gently to their feet as they rubbed their head looking around.
Suddenly Druig was floating with golden circles and lines around him, like how the Eternal's magic looked, then Sprite went up too, arms out.
Corey stood on the ground watching them confused, was this meant to happen?
Then the gold lines streaked above their heads flying up above the clouds.
They floated higher and higher above, like balloons without strings.
Then the ice started again rushing by faster this time, Corey watched as it froze Tiamut's fingers in place.
The world seemed silent, Tiamut was frozen in place not moving, Druig and Sprite were back on the hand no longer floating.
"Is it over?" Corey asked them quietly.
She looked up and she thought she saw Ikaris flying away from it all.
The waves crashed against the side, the sun was setting and Druig, Sprite and her were walking back to find the other.
Corey ran to the waves, letting the water seep into her shoes drenching her feet. She ran deeper laughing at it all, it was all over, she was alive.
The water weighed down her clothes and they stuck to her body like unpleasant leeches but she didn't mind she threw water in the air laughing as she spun round in circles.
She stayed there in the water for a while, then Sprite came up to her and she returned from the water.
"Hey, how are you?" Corey asked them and they nodded.
"I'm alright Sersi made me human," Sprite told her and she tilted her head.
"You're alright with that?"
"Yeah, it was what I wanted, more than anything," Sprite told her smiling.
"That's great! Guess what, I'm human! We can hang out as humans together! You can meet my grandma!" Corey said hugging them excitedly.
"Mhm, I can meet Grandma Luz," Sprite told her smiling.
"Yeah and Doris! She's my grandma's girlfriend" Corey told them and Sprite smiled.
"Do you think I can kiss you, Core?" Sprite asked her.
"Of course, you can Sodapop," Corey told them smiling.
And so they kissed her, the cool water lapping at their ankles as they stood there, finally content, finally at peace. At the Core of it All.
-☼-
Corey rested her head on Sprite's shoulder as they did stuff on their phone. She was wearing a skirt with yellow and orange flowers on it with a peachy orange sweater
"Told you that thing was addictive," Sersi said coming out of the building as Sprite looked up, then she paused a sadder look on her face. "Please visit."
"I'll try," Sprite responded and Corey elbowed them.
"We definitely will, even if it means I have to knock Sprite out like Druig did," Corey laughed and Sprite touched the back of their head laughing.
"When we get time off of school," Sprite continued annoyed and Corey laughed.
"Oh, you are so gonna hate school," Corey laughed.
"Oh, wow. Listen, it's gonna be good for you to be in a human environment. You'll pick up some social skills," Sprite looked up at Kingo annoyed. "Oh, you didn't think you'd need those. That explains so much."
They stood up and Kingo took the last of the luggage.
"I'll wait in the car, bye Sersi!" Corey smiled at them both before walking over to the car and getting inside.
Sprite joined her soon after and Corey looked up at them.
"You excited?" She whispered.
"Not at all," Sprite told her and Corey laughed.
"You're grandma and Doris were nice," Sprite told her and she laughed.
"Yeah they're pretty awesome, I thought my Grandma was gonna faint when she saw Kingo," Corey recalled and they both laughed.
"You two ready to go?" Kingo asked getting into the passenger's seat.
"Yep," Corey told him as Sprite took their hand.
Notes:
And that's the end! I can't really say how they would react to Kingo's disappearance because I have no idea if they were with him when it happened or what. Anyways I will do an author's note just to clear everything up.

Chapter 11: Author's Note
Chapter Text
So this is the end, maybe. Since I don't know how or if the Eternals will be integrated with the rest of the MCU and I don't know if they plan to make another Eternals or whatever, I don't plan to do too much more with this story until I find out.
I'm hoping that there will be some way in the future that I can add these two in again but I'm not sure if it'll be possible or not.
I hope everyone enjoyed this story, it was a nice shortish one to write.
Though I probably won't update this story until I know more about what will happen to the Eternals, I do have one last update that I plan to do sometime in the future so you can stay tuned for that.
Anyways I want to thank you all for reading it has been a pleasure writing this story and I hope to see you all again in a different story.

Chapter 12: Extra Scene 1 [Movie Night]
Notes:
Hey Hey!! So recently I rewatched Eternals with one of my friends and now I have a bunch of Sprite and Corey interactions played out in my head so I thought I would publish them for y'all. This first one sort've takes place during the Eternals because it's before Sprite and Corey admit their feelings but it's as if part way through the movie everyone was just like 'Let's have a movie night.' So yeah at this point everyone aside from Ajak and Gilgamesh is alive, so essentially Ikaris is still alive that was the main just of what I was trying to say. Anyways enough discussion!! :)))))))))
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Corey settled into a soft armchair and surveyed the room. Sersi and Ikaris were next to each other but with enough space between each other that they weren't close, Druig and Makkari were laying on the floor, Thena was sitting in an armchair close to Corey, Phastos sat on the couch close to Sersi, and Kingo was sitting in a different armchair across the room. Sprite entered the room carrying snacks and tossed them around.
They tossed some chips that landed between Sersi and Ikaris, tossed a bottle of some drink at Kingo's head (where it hit him in the forehead before bouncing off,) dropped off a bag of pretzels for Druig and Makkari, Tossed some potato chips for Phastos, and handed Thena some chocolate. Holding onto a bag of popcorn they sat down in front of Corey's armchair.
"So what are we asking?" Sprite asked the group.
"Well, I wanted to watch one of my movies but Druig vetoed it," Kingo glared at Druig who rolled his eyes.
"Nobody wants to see your movies except you Kingo," Druig told him opening the bag of pretzels.
"I saw an ad for this movie if you're interested?" Sersi suggested clicking on a movie.
"Sure," Makkari signed turning towards the TV.
Sersi started the movie and turned subtitles on when she realized they'd been turned off.
Corey settled into the armchair and watched as the characters planned a heist of some sort.
Sprite held up the bag of popcorn for Corey to take some and they took a handful, whispering thanks.
As Corey finished her handful of popcorn she wiped her hands on her pants and leaned forward a little.
She looked down at Sprite who was sitting on the floor, eating popcorn.
Slowly, Corey reached out to touch Sprite's reddish hair. Sprite froze for a minute tensing as they felt the weight of Corey's hand in their hair.
Corey paused for a minute noticing Sprite's discomfort but Sprite relaxed a bit and Corey smiled.
She played with Sprite's short hair, twirling it around and making small little braids that she secured with small elastics from her pocket.
Corey was humming softly as she worked, not loud enough for anyone but Sprite to hear.
Sersi looked over from the movie as she took a chip out of the bag. When she saw Corey playing with Sprite's hair and Sprite's relaxed smile she tapped Ikaris and Phastos and nodded to the duo. Ikaris looked at the two then back at Sersi surprised, Sprite hardly ever let anyone touch their hair.
"They're cute," Sersi whispered, keeping her voice low so they wouldn't hear her.
Ikaris nodded and Sersi turned to Kingo who wasn't far from them.
"Kingo," She whispered and he tore his eyes from the screen to look at her.
"What?" He whispered back and she pointed with her thumb.
When he saw them he gave a small laugh, the sound was quiet but Druig must have heard it since he looked up and over at Kingo before following his gaze to where Corey and Sprite were sitting.
Makkari felt Druig shift beside her and turned over with him and when she saw the two she turned back to Druig.
"I thought Sprite didn't like when people touched their hair?" Makkari signed.
"I think they've found an exception," Druig signed back with a smirk and Makkari smiled as she turned back to look at the two.
Thena who had been focused on the movie got distracted when she saw Makkari and Druig move and looked over to see what they were looking at, when she Sprite and Corey a small smile crossed her face as she watched the two.
Sprite seemed rather out of it, their eyes were fixed on the screen but you could tell they weren't paying attention to the movie they were focused on the feeling of Corey's warm hands running through their hair.
Corey's eyes would flicker between Sprite's hair and the movie but it was clear they weren't absorbing much of the movie's contents.
Sersi and Kingo shared a knowing look as Kingo took his phone out of his pocket to take a picture of the two to tease Sprite about later.
"Send that to me," Sersi whispered to Kingo who nodded before sending it to all of them apart from Sprite and Corey.
Both Corey and Sprite were oblivious to what was happening with the other Eternals around them, the noise from the movie was background noise, it was just them.
-☼-
As the credits rolled Corey finally stopped playing with Sprite's hair and everyone stood up.
"Goodnight," Corey waved as she left the room heading up to her room before the others.
"I like the braids Sprite," Kingo smiled reaching up to touch one.
"Shut up, Kingo," Sprite told him but their words didn't have the usual bite as they slapped his hand away.
Sprite said goodnight before leaving the room.
"How long do you think before..?" Kingo asked the group.
"Probably soon," Sersi smiled. "You think Corey likes them?"
"Oh, definitely, I don't think she'd play with their hair that much otherwise," Druig scoffed with a smile.
"How long do you think they've liked Corey for?" Sersi asked.
"A while I think, I've caught them staring at each other," Kingo smiled shaking his head at the memory.
"It'll be nice for Sprite," Ikaris said. "I think they've always felt a bit alone."
Upstairs Sprite was staring in the mirror at the collection of small braids. They kept replaying every moment, the feeling of Corey's soft hands in their hair, it felt like they were still there.
Sprite climbed into bed as they thought about Corey, they fell asleep with a smile on their face.
-☼-
The next morning Corey was sitting downstairs with the others as she checked something on her phone.
"Good morning, Corey," Sersi greeted as she sat down next to her and Corey put her phone down.
"Good morning, Sersi," Corey returned with a smile.
"Did you sleep alright?" Sersi asked as she took a bite of toast.
"Yeah, pretty good. How about you?"
"I slept alright. Did you enjoy the movie?" Sersi tried to conceal the smile that was on her face, the others looked up at this.
"Yeah it was alright, I think I zoned out a few times so I didn't get the full experience," Corey replied.
"Oh, maybe you could rewatch it sometime?" Sersi offered, trying to suppress the knowing smile on her face.
Just then Sprite walked in, still looking half asleep as they greeted the others and sat down. The group smiled at each other as they noticed that in Sprite's hair was the collection of braids, still intact.
"Good morning, Sprite," Ikaris greeted and Sprite nodded as they picked up a cup of coffee that Sersi had put out for them.
"Hey, Sersi?" Sersi looked up at Sprite. "What was the name of the movie we watched last night? I wasn't focused for most of it but I'd like to watch it again."
Sersi gave a knowing smile to Kingo.
"Oh, Corey was just telling me that she zoned out as well, why don't you two watch it together later today?" Sersi offered and Sprite looked over at Corey, who'd been staring at Sprite (not that Sprite noticed.)
"What do you say, Core? You want to watch the movie together?" Sprite asked and Corey pretend to think it over.
"Of course, Sodapop," Corey smiled and Sersi raised an eyebrow looking over at Ikaris and the others.
There was a ding from Corey's phone and she stood up.
"Gotta call my grandma, let me know when you want to watch the movie, alright? Also, I love the braids, they turned out pretty good." Corey ran a hand through Sprite's hair as she left the room.
Sprite smiled into their coffee as Corey ran upstairs.
"Can I come watch the movie with you, Sodapop?" Kingo teased sitting down in the spot next to Sprite where Corey had just been sitting.
"Shut up, Kingo," Sprite told him annoyed and he smiled.
"Honestly, I'm surprised the braids stayed the night or did you redo them?" Kingo asked and Sprite frowned.
"No, they just stayed."
"Leave them alone Kingo," Druig told him sitting down and Sprite shot him a thankful smile.
"Thank you, Druig." Sprite thanked him sending a pointed look at Kingo.
"But Sprite I must ask, why exactly could you not focus on the movie?" Druig smirked and Sprite rolled their eyes.
"Honestly, are all of you going to be like this?" They stood up angrily before storming out of the room.
"I give them until the end of the day," Druig smiled.
"Sprite is never going to get to live this down," Kingo smiled.
Notes:
So this was the first idea I had. The group teasing Sprite about Corey, I found it funny and sweet. There are more extra scenes coming so stay tuned for those! :)

Chapter Text
Corey was standing against the kitchen island checking something on her phone. Sersi had walked over and was looking for something in the fridge, Druig and Makkari were signing to each other at the kitchen island, and Thena was seated on the couch.
"Where's Sprite?" Corey asked Sersi as she looked up and noticed that Sprite was nowhere to be found.
"They didn't tell you?" Sersi closed the fridge and looked at Corey surprised.
"Tell me what?" Corey asked confused.
"They're getting ready to go to Kingo's movie premier," Sersi told her and Corey's eyes widened. Sprite had helped Kingo with the story for his new story.
Just then there was the sound of Sprite's door opening.
"Here they are now," Sersi smiled turning around to see Sprite's outfit.
Sprite came down the hallway, they were dressed in a black suit with a tie that was embroidered with a design that looked like Celestial magic, gold and shimmery. Corey's eyes widened when she saw them.
"Sprite...you...wow," Corey stared at them in shock, flustered and unable to form words.
"Congrats Sprite, I think you've broken Corey," Druig smirked from behind and Sprite took a step towards Corey.
"Corey? Are you alright?" Sprite asked her trying not to laugh at how flustered and tongue-tied she seemed.
"You look...fantastic," Corey was still flustered and having a lot of trouble, the group of Eternals watched her amused.
"Thank you, Corey," Sprite smiled.
They both stood there for a minute, Corey still in shock and Sprite enjoying it.
Part of Sprite thought it would be funny to see just how flustered they could make Corey, but with everyone watching they weren't sure how it would go.
"Where's Kingo?" Sprite asked Sersi who shrugged.
"You know him, he'll be out soon though," Sersi told them and Sprite nodded.
"Why don't we go outside and wait for him?" Sprite suggested to Corey who nodded, too tongue-tied to speak.
Sprite took her hand and led her out to the front door.
"I don't think I've seen Corey that flustered before," Sersi smiled speaking quietly so the duo wouldn't hear her.
"In all my time on Earth I don't think I've seen any human that flustered," Druig agreed.
"She really likes Sprite," Makkari signed.
Sprite and Corey stood on the porch as they waited for Kingo.
"You look nice, like really nice," Corey told Sprite finally getting the words out.
"Thank you, I hope everyone thinks so. I'm really worried about tonight." Sprite answered nervously.
"You'll be fine, if you need anything you can call me," Corey offered and Sprite smiled.
"How about a good luck kiss?" Sprite teased deciding to push their luck now that they were outside.
Corey raised her eyebrows but held up her hands, lightly grabbing Sprite's face they pulled them close.
Sprite had their left hand in Corey's hair and with the right, they held onto Corey's left.
They were up against the white post of the porch when they heard the noise of the door opening, they pulled apart to see Kingo standing outside and Sersi poking her head out.
"Oh no please continue, don't let us interrupt." Kingo teased and Sprite went red as Corey laughed and scratched the back of her neck awkwardly, she could feel her face heating up.
Kingo walked down the porch to where the car was waiting.
"Good luck," Corey smiled awkwardly at Sprite.
"Thanks, and thank you for..." Sprite trailed off and Kingo coughed behind them.
"Well, I guess I should get going..." Sprite gestured to the car with their thumb.
"Yeah...of course," Corey shifted from foot to foot. Then, before she could overthink it she stepped forward and gave Sprite a quick kiss.
"Love you," Corey waved and Sprite froze for a minute in shock.
"Love you too," Sprite smiled before heading down the porch and getting into the car with Kingo.
"That was incredibly awkward to watch," Kingo told them as the car started away.
"It was!" Karun agreed from the driver's seat.
"Shut up both of you," Sprite told them, but they couldn't stop smiling.
Corey collapsed on the couch as she heard the car drive away.
"Is she alright?" Makkari signed looking at the human who was facing the ceiling with her eyes closed, replaying everything.
"I think she's better than alright," Sersi signed back, watching Corey smile with a knowing look.
-☼-
Sersi was about to leave the kitchen when she saw Corey still sitting on the couch, looking at something on her phone.
"What are you still doing up?" Sersi asked and Corey clicked her phone off and put it down.
"Oh, I'm waiting for Sprite to get home," Corey smiled and Sersi sat down next to them.
"You really like them don't you?" Sersi questioned and Corey nodded.
"I love Sprite, nothing could change that," Corey answered and Sersi smiled.
"I suppose I should wait up with you then? Do you want to put something on?" Sersi nodded to the tv and Corey tossed her the remote.
"Sure."
-☼-
There was a click as the door was unlocked, Sersi paused the movie they'd been watching and waited as the door swung open.
It revealed Sprite and Kingo, Sprite's face lit up when they saw Corey and they walked over.
"You alright, Sodapop?" Corey asked as Sprite collapsed next to them.
"So, they may or may not have gotten drunk..." Kingo looked around awkwardly.
"What?!" Sersi and Corey said in unison as they looked at Kingo bewilderedly.
"I didn't mean to, they slipped away when I got distracted and came back to me like this," Kingo pointed at Sprite.
"Sprite, you can't be drinking, you're underaged," Corey reminded them.
"No, I'm not! I'm centuries old!" Sprite protested slurring a few words.
"Yeah but now you're just a teenager, you can't do that now," Corey continued and Sprite shook their head.
"Oh well."
Corey sighed as Sprite scooted closer to her.
"Can I kiss you?" Sprite seemed to be trying to whisper but it came out just as loud as normal.
"No, you're drunk, you can't give consent when you're drunk," Corey reminded them and they sighed.
"Fine, but can I tell you a secret?" Sprite tried to hush their voice but it wasn't really working.
"Sure, go ahead," Corey told them nervously.
"I used to think that to be happy and have a family I would need kids and everything but no, I just need you. I love you Core. You are my family" Sprite told them as they nestled themselves into Corey's arms and closed their eyes.
"I love you too, Sodapop," Corey smiled at the secret until she noticed that Sprite had fallen asleep and her eyes widened in panic.
"They fell asleep!" Corey whisper-shouted to Sersi and Kingo.
"Oh you're stuck with them now," Kingo smiled taking his phone out to snap a picture of the two.
Sprite murmured something in their sleep.
"How did they fall asleep so quickly?" Corey asked shaking her head.
"Goodnight Corey," Sersi smiled as she and Kingo headed down the hallway to their rooms.
"Don't leave me...they left me," Corey sighed as the two disappeared from view. "Guess it's just you and me Sodapop."
With a smile, she scooted a little, while trying not to wake up Sprite, so she was comfortable.
She could smell the shampoo that Sprite used, it smelled fruity and she inhaled the scent.
"Goodnight, Sodapop," Corey whispered as she too closed her eyes.
-☼-
"They're taking up most of the couch," Druig complained and Corey opened one eye.
"But it's cute," Makkari signed in protest and Druig sighed.
Corey yawned as she stared at the two, the sunshine was streaming through the window, dancing around the room.
'You sleep alright?" Corey heard a murmur and turned her head to see Sprite smiling at her.
"You're up! Why didn't you wake me?" Corey asked and Sprite shrugged sitting up.
"You looked so peaceful and cute I didn't want to."
"You feeling better? You came home last night drunk and fell asleep," Corey asked sitting up and stretching.
"Yeah I'm alright, I didn't think I'd drank that much," Sprite shook their head.
"You shouldn't have been drinking anything," Corey stood up and Sprite followed as they headed back to Sprite's room.
"Oh well, too late now," Sprite shrugged and Corey shook her head.
"You better not drink anymore until you're eighteen," Corey warned and Sprite smiled.
"Fine, I promise no more drinking until then," Sprite promised and Corey smiled.
"Good."
"Sorry about trapping you there last night," Sprite apologized while picking out some clothes as Corey sat down on their bed.
"It's alright," Corey smiled as Sprite went into the bathroom closing the door behind them.
Corey laid down on the soft bed as she waited for Sprite to finish. When they were they opened the door, they were now wearing much more casual clothes.
"Did the night go alright?" Corey asked as Sprite put the suit away.
"Yeah, it was alright, would've been better if I was with you though," Sprite answered and Corey smiled.
Sprite sat down on the bed and Corey sat up.
"You want to go get some breakfast?" Sprite asked and Corey nodded, the voices and laughter of the others in the kitchen echoed back to them.
"I swear if any of them say anything they will get eggs and toast in their face," Sprite threatened and Corey laughed.
"Mhm."
Notes:
I kinda liked this one, we had flustered Corey which isn't something we get often. Also, a refresh on consent so everyone remembers. Also, just something I want to clarify when Corey gets amazed by Sprite it is in no way supposed to refer to anything sexual. I think of it more as Corey's thoughts just get so overwhelming and they're all something like 'They look so nice, I am impressed, how is this my partner, they look perfect, oh I'm supposed to say something!' So yeah they're all something along those lines. And the comments that the other Eternals make are not pressuring anything sexual either, it's just them teasing Sprite and Corey. This one had less of the Eternals (apart from Sersi) and more of the duo but that's fine :))

Chapter 14: Extra Scene 3 [The Heist]
Notes:
This one is kinda like the last one I wrote but with the roles more reversed. Also, parts of it are a bit strange and don't really align with the Eternal's goals but that's fine we're going to ignore that. So this takes place after the movie but as if Sersi, Kingo, and Phastos never got captured.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
"So what you're saying is that in this gallery opening there is a piece of Celestial magic infused in an object and we need to grab it before anything happens?" Druig clarified and Phastos nodded.
"Yes! When I was doing a scan to make sure we hadn't lost any Celestial magic and I found its signature. We need to grab it since it seems unstable and we need to make sure nobody else gets their hands on it," Phastos explained.
"When's the gallery?" Makkari signed.
"This weekend," Phastos signed back and they nodded, that wasn't much time.
"So what's the plan then?" Sersi asked and Phastos smiled, clearly, he prided himself with this plan.
"Well, I think I can shut down the cameras if Makkari gets me to the main power server. Now I need all of you inside the gallery for different reasons. Sersi, you need to pretend to be interested in art, and once we've got the piece I need you to find the most valuable piece and change it into dirt or something, just to draw everyone's attention from the actual piece of importance. Druig I need you to be nearby in case something goes wrong and you need to mind control the guards to make sure they don't do anything, or if we need a distraction start a fight or something. Kingo you are the distraction, keep everyone's attention away from the piece and on you and if something goes wrong draw all the attention to yourself. Thena you are the last resort, just in case something goes wrong and you need to overpower a guard, but do not try to kill anyone, under no circumstance are you to try to kill anyone. And Sprite you need to confuse the guards, make them be suspicious of you because of your age, make them put all their attention on you."
"Ok, so who is actually stealing the piece?" Druig asked and Phastos smiled.
"She is," Phastos gestured to Corey who'd been listening attentively, happy to be allowed to be there.
"Me?" Corey questioned.
"Her?"
"Why have her go? Any of us could do it," Druig argued and Phastos shook his head.
"This is a layered plan with everything taken into consideration, Corey needs to do it. Otherwise, it won't work."
Druig looked like he didn't believe that but didn't argue.
"Are you sure someone else can't do it?" Corey asked nervously.
"No, it has to be you," Phastos shook his head and Sprite squeezed Corey's hand reassuringly.
"If Phastos thinks this plan will work then we have to trust him," Sersi nodded and Phastos smiled.
"Also you are all going to have to dress up, and I am making communication pieces that will go undetected. I call it plan 'Disappearing Act'." Phastos smiled at the name.
"That is a terrible name," Sprite shook their head.
"We can come up with something better," Kingo agreed and Phastos sighed.
-☼-
It was the night of the heist (that was what Corey called it because that's what it felt like.) She was terrified, if she did one thing wrong the whole plan could fall apart. She took deep breaths to calm herself.
She turned to look at herself in the mirror, she was wearing a gorgeous dress, it was the colour of light orange and yellow. It came down to just below her knees and was loose and flowy. While it made Corey feel like she was rich it wasn't noticeable enough to draw too much attention to her since that was the opposite of what they wanted.
Sersi had helped do her hair before and it was pinned up with loose curls. She gave a quick twirl letting the dress swish against her legs.
As she put in a pair of dangly gold earrings she smiled and took a deep breath.
She opened the door and walked out into the hallway where the others were waiting.
Sprite looked over at her arrival and froze, it felt like they couldn't breathe anymore. Corey smiled at them.
"What do you think?" Corey asked Sprite nervously.
Sprite didn't answer, they couldn't seem to get a word out of their mouth.
"I think Sprite's forgotten how to breathe," Druig smirked and Kingo laughed as he looked over and saw how stunned Sprite looked.
"Sprite?" Corey walked over and took Sprite's hand in her own, looking at Sprite worriedly. "Are you alright?"
"I think Sprite's just a little flustered, give them a minute," Kingo told her when Sprite still didn't respond.
"Flustered? Why would Sprite be..?" Corey tilted her head confused then a look of understanding came across her face and she smiled. "I flustered you?"
Corey smiled and then laughed, meanwhile Sprite was still trying to form words.
Just then Phastos came out of the hallway and surveyed the group with a nod.
"Alright, are we all ready? What's up with Sprite?" He asked suddenly looking at Sprite who was still frozen staring at Corey.
"Oh, I can fix it!" Corey leaned forward and gave Sprite a quick kiss. This seemed to do it.
"Sorry," Sprite apologized their face reddening.
"Oh, it's quite fine Sprite. I understand what it's like to be completely flustered by your partner," Kingo teased and Sprite scowled at him.
"I wasn't-"
"Can we do this later? The gallery starts soon," Phastos interrupted and Sprite stopped but still sent a glare to Kingo.
Phastos led the way out of the house to a van that would fit them all.
Sprite and Corey climbed into the very back of the van where they were joined by Thena.
"Thena, keep an eye on those two," Kingo turned around from in front of Sprite to look at Thena and wink at her.
Sprite kicked Kingo's seat and he frowned at them before turning around.
"You look really nice, Corey," Sprite told her and Corey smiled. "Not just nice, you look gorgeous."
"Thank you Sprite. You look stunning," Corey complemented and Sprite reddened.
"I'm not sure about that..."
"Nonsense, though I do miss the sunglass and button-up shirts you normally wear," Corey replied and Sprite smiled.
"Yeah, I figured that wouldn't really fit the dress code," Sprite smiled and Corey nodded.
"Is it alright if I kiss you now since I won't be able to during the gallery which is going to be painful," Corey sighed and Sprite smiled.
"You'll just have to kiss me extra now and after," Sprite teased and Corey leaned forward, meeting Sprite halfway.
"Thena, I thought I told you to watch them?" Kingo shook his head turning around as Thena shrugged.
They broke apart and Corey rested her head on Sprite's shoulder.
"You're going to be fine Corey, don't worry," Sprite whispered and Corey gave a small smile.
-☼-
They'd driven by the building where the gallery was being held and had parked around the corner so it didn't look suspicious that they were all coming out of the same van.
Makkari and Phastos had left to get to the power server where Phastos could shut down the cameras. Sersi was getting ready to go, then Druig would leave, followed by Thena, then Sprite, Kingo would leave soon after, then Corey would leave.
Sersi closed the van door with a click and Corey watched as she turned the corner.
Corey was fidgeting with her hands, trying to distract herself from everything.
"It'll be ok," Sprite whispered to Corey but she didn't respond.
"Corey?" Sprite sat up to look at Corey. "It's going to be alright. You will do fine."
"What if I don't?" Corey whispered so quietly Sprite barely heard it.
"If you can't do it we will find another way but there is not a doubt in my mind that you will do great." Sprite comforted Corey and stroked her hair.
Druig was ready to go and left the van soon after.
After about ten minutes Thena left and headed down to the gallery.
Sprite and Corey joined Kingo in the front of the van where he was sitting.
"Sprite are you sure you can do this mission?" Kingo asked in fake concern. "We don't want you to have any difficulty breathing."
"You know what Kingo-"
"Sprite, Kingo we can all hear you," Phastos's voice came through their earpiece and they rolled their eyes.
"Well, of course, you can hear us, there's no way to turn these things off!" Sprite complained.
"I'm glad you think I look nice, Sprite," Corey whispered to Sprite who smiled.
They leaned forward and Kingo made a noise from beside them.
"Ew gross. Right now? I'm right here!" Kingo shielded his eyes from the two and Sprite and Corey dissolved into laughter.
"Oh, I need to go..." Sprite said checking the time and Corey sighed disappointedly.
Sprite gave Corey a quick kiss before climbing out of the van, Corey watched as Sprite walked away.
"You know I don't think I've ever seen Sprite flustered until tonight," Kingo told Corey.
"Really?"
"Really."
Corey turned away and smiled at the window.
"I also don't think I've ever seen them as happy as they are with you," Kingo told her and her smile grew.
-☼-
Corey walked towards the gallery, the cool night air bit at her skin. As she approached the entrance gate she walked through a sort of metal detector, luckily her earpiece didn't alert the detector.
"Why are you here all alone, kid?" The guard asked looking at Corey with a raised eyebrow.
"Well, I was going to go with my friend but she bailed on me last minute, can you believe some people?" Corey asked and the guard shook his head believing the lie.
"That's disappointing, well enjoy yourself in there." The guard smiled at her and she nodded.
As she walked away she took a deep breath, now all that was left was she needed to steal the piece.
She turned into the gallery room, there were quite a few people. She scanned the crowd and saw Sersi and Kingo standing around and chatting with other people as they studied different pieces.
"Corey, there's a camera in your sunglass that will scan each artifact and tell you which one is holding the Celestial magic." Phastos's voice came through the earpiece and Corey nodded to herself.
She began looking through the room, a server came by and offered her a glass of water which she accepted and took a sip of.
Sprite was having difficulty not staring at Corey, they knew they couldn't it would look too suspicious and they might lose their ability to breathe or speak and that wouldn't do any good.
Instead, they accidentally made eye contact with Kingo who made a face as his eyes darted between them and Corey, Sprite rolled their eyes at Kingo.
Corey looked at each piece allowing her sunglasses to scan them.
She passed by Sersi who was conversing with someone and they saw Sprite but forced themself to look away.
They were close to the back of the gallery when they saw Druig, they pretended not to notice him and kept studying the pieces.
Thankfully, nobody was trying to make conversation with her since she wasn't sure how she would get rid of them if anyone tried to.
She had reached the back of the gallery and stared at a piece, it looked almost like a mound of shaped metal, of course, this was the piece. Her sunglasses alerted her of its value.
"I found it," She whispered quietly and she could almost feel the energy change when the others heard that.
Suddenly there was a shout from a woman.
"The painting, it's gone!" The woman shrieked and Corey suspected that was Sersi's doing.
As the crowd became chaotic she heard Kingo shout. "What if I'm next?"
She tried not to laugh at Kingo's screams.
While the room was chaotic she reached up and swiped the piece. Druig began to control some people having them run out of the gallery (though most were doing that anyways,) Corey followed them and made their way out of the gallery.
Once she was out of the gallery she went a different way, around the block to get back to the van.
When she got back everyone was there.
"Did you get it?" Phastos asked and Corey tossed him the piece.
"Careful!" He warned as he handed it to Sersi.
"So are we done?" Sprite asked and Phastos nodded, they piled into the van and Phastos turned the engine on.
"You did great, Core," Sprite whispered to them as Corey rested their head on Sprite's shoulder.
"Thank you, Sodapop."
Notes:
So this chapter was more of a heist because I thought that could be fun. Also just again I'd like to say that when I had Sprite flustered by Corey it was in no way meant to refer to something sexual, it's just them getting overwhelmed by how amazing Corey looked.

Chapter 15: Extra Scene 4 [The Plan]
Notes:
We're back with another scene! So this one is more similar to the first one I wrote with it taking place mid-way through the Eternals since Sprite and Corey haven't admitted their feelings but like the Eternals were all just casually living in a house mid-way though and we're like 'Yeah let's do this for fun.' Also, Ikaris is still alive but Gilgamesh and Ajak aren't.
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
"So we're all clear on the plan?" Sersi asked the group, everyone was sitting at the table apart from Corey and Sprite who were in their rooms.
"Why are we doing this again?" Makkari signed.
"Because are we not all tired of watching Sprite and Corey dance around each other too nervous to admit their feelings for each other," Kingo answered.
"Are you sure we should be getting involved, isn't this their own business?" Phastos asked.
"We are not directly forcing them to do anything, if they decide they don't want to that's fine we aren't going to pressure them into doing anything. We are just giving them the opportunity," Sersi explained and the group nodded.
"I think we're all tired of watching them be awkward around each other, maybe with this they'll finally figure out what they want." Kingo shrugged.
"And if they like each other?" Makkari signed.
"Then we support them both, and tease them both relentlessly." Kingo smiled.
"Right okay, we'll do it tomorrow," Sersi told the group and they nodded.
-☼-
Sprite woke up to a quiet house, normally you could hear Kingo and Druig facing off or at least someone saying something.
They walked out in a dazy half asleep sense and headed toward the kitchen. Stuck to the coffee maker was a note.
I'm out with Dane for the morning, Ikaris is going out to 'train', Druig and Makkari are going out walking together, Thena was going to practise at the gym, Kingo is out with Karun for a movie meeting, and Phastos was going to work on a mechanical thing. We'll be back at around 1, stay safe. <3
-𝒮𝑒𝓇𝓈𝒾
Sprite put the note down and started making their usual cup of coffee. They settled down into a chair at the table, then they heard the noise of someone walking down the hallway.
"Good morning, Sprite," Corey greeted with a smile. "Where are the others?"
"They're all out, doing different stuff," Sprite answered handing them the note to Corey who read it over.
"So we have the house to ourselves?" Corey smiled and Sprite nodded.
"What should we do then?" Corey asked and Sprite shrugged.
Sprite wasn't much of a morning person, Corey however had tons of energy in the morning.
"Why don't we finish eating, or for you finish drinking your coffee then we can decide?" Corey offered and Sprite nodded.
They sat in mostly silence, it felt strange normally there was the constant noise of the others.
They kept stealing glances at each other, averting their eyes quickly when the other person looked over. A few times their eyes met and they both laughed awkwardly.
When they finished breakfast they turned to go back to their rooms to change into clothes for the day.
When Sprite finished and came out of their room they found Corey on the couch, checking something on her phone. They walked over and sat next to her.
"Hello, Sodapop," Corey smiled at them putting their phone down on a table.
"Does it seem a bit strange that they're all out at the same time or is it just me?" Sprite asked and Corey shrugged.
"Whether it was planned or not we're here now, might as well make the most of it," Corey smiled.
"Can I?" Sprite reached up to where a stray piece of hair had fallen in front of Corey's eyes. Corey nodded and Sprite carefully tucked the piece away behind her ear.
They stayed there for a moment, Sprite's hair still in Corey's hair as they stared at one another.
Neither of them could tell that each other's thoughts were screaming in their heads.
"So, um, how are you?" Sprite asked awkwardly moving their hand away and Corey felt a stab of disappointment.
"I'm alright, how are you?" Corey questioned.
"Good."
They settled into an awkward silence both too afraid to say what was on their minds.
"What are you planning to do today?" Corey asked turning back to her usual bright self.
"Not much," Sprite answered. "Hey, um would you mind if I played with your hair, it's just like super soft and-"
"Go ahead," Corey murmured as she sat down on the floor so Sprite could play with her hair from above.
"I promise I won't make it super knotted or anything," Sprite told her and Corey laughed.
"Alright, Sodapop. I'm holding you to that," They both laughed.
"Would you be interested in going to get lunch with me?" Corey asked as Sprite stroked her hair playing with the different pieces.
"That would be nice..."
"We could go to that awesome Thai place you introduced me to!" Corey smiled and Sprite laughed.
"You like that place? Sure we can go there."
They settled into a more comfortable silence.
Corey had a relaxed smile on her face at the feeling of Sprite's hands in her hair.
Then, Sprite stopped.
"Sprite are you alright?" Corey asked standing up and sitting next to Sprite.
When Sprite didn't answer Corey took their hands in her own.
"Sprite? What's wrong?" Corey asked and Sprite whispered something so quiet Corey couldn't hear.
"I'm sorry, what did you say?" Corey asked.
"It's nothing," Sprite answered quickly, too quickly.
"Sprite I'm not going to make you tell me if you don't want to, but maybe I can help depending on what it is," Corey told them and Sprite took a deep breath.
"I was just saying that maybe if you were ok with it I could kiss you..?" Sprite confessed quietly and Corey's eyes widened.
"But you don't have to or anything, just forget I said anything," Sprite continued quickly refusing to meet Corey's eyes, Corey didn't say anything.
They stayed there in silence for a minute.
"I wouldn't mind that," Corey admitted and Sprite looked up in surprise.
"What?"
"Kissing you, it doesn't sound bad. Sorry, that came out wrong. The answer is yes you can kiss me." Corey smiled and Sprite stared at her shocked.
"Really?"
"Yes really," Corey laughed a little.
Sprite didn't move, they couldn't believe what they were hearing.
Corey smiled and moved in since Sprite wasn't, they met and the world felt perfect.
Sprite had their hands in Corey's hair and Corey was holding Sprite's head in a way that was oddly comfortable.
They were both smiling and close to laughter. It had actually happened, this was actually happening.
-☼-
"Open the door Sersi," Druig ordered impatiently.
"I am," Sersi answered she pushed the door open and walked inside followed by the others.
The Eternals entered the house and found Corey and Sprite laying in front of the couch together. Sprite was lying with their face turned towards Corey's which was just millimetres away, Corey had wrapped their arms around Sprite and they both looked rather comfortable for people lying on the floor.
"Good morning!" Kingo greeted them cheerfully and they both shot up letting go of each other and stared awkwardly at the other Eternals.
"Hi..." Corey gave a small wave as she stared at them.
"How long have you been standing there?" Sprite asked looking at the others.
"Not long don't worry," Kingo smiled at them giving them a look.
Sprite stood up and Corey sighed before getting to her feet.
"Oh, you can both continue we'll be going now," Kingo smiled.
"You ruined it Kingo," Sprite told him.
"What do you say about lunch, Sodapop?" Corey asked checking the time.
Sprite smiled and nodded.
"Well, see you all later," Corey smiled as she dragged Sprite out of the room with a wave.
Kingo peeked his head around to where they'd gone.
"They're kissing by the doorway," He reported and Sersi smiled.
"KINGO!" Sprite shouted from the other room and he laughed.
They listened for the sound as the door opened and swung shut behind them.
"Well, I'd say the plan was a success," Sersi smiled.
"Maybe too much of a success," Kingo shuddered exaggeratedly and laughed.
"I think they're happy?" Sersi smiled.
"They are definitely happy. Did you see Corey's face? She looked as if she was about to explode from happiness." Kingo told them.
"Doesn't she always look like that?" Druig pointed out.
"Yeah but like extra happy, also the way she looked at Sprite," Kingo explained.
"Even in Sprite, though they were mad at Kingo their eyes looked happy," Makkari signed and the group nodded.
"Well, so long as they're happy." Sersi smiled.
Notes:
So I've realized that writing scenes like where Sprite and Corey are sorta oblivious and the other Eternals and aware is really fun. Also, I realized I forgot to mention none of these scenes are really canon for my actual story (obviously) they're just extra little scenes that I think would happen in different scenarios. Is it obvious that I love when people play with each other's hair? Anyways I hope you enjoy and I will definitely be writing more scenes that are like this. And sorry that I just stopped posting for a bit I was lacking the motivation but I'm back now!

Chapter 16: Extra Scene 5 [Shopping]
Notes:
I've decided that I love having the other Eternals trying to get Sprite and Corey to realize their feelings for one another and teasing them for it so that's what this chapter is :)

Chapter Text
Corey was reading a book that she'd stolen from Sprite, it was about different Myths and legends. She had her full attention on the book, clearly, it interested her, she was sitting on the couch with Sprite sitting on an armchair across the room.
She was so engrossed in her book that she didn't notice that Sprite was staring at her or that Kingo had entered the room.
"You know, some people find staring creepy?" Kingo whispered approaching Sprite who gave him a sharp glare.
"I wasn't-ugh whatever," Sprite sighed angrily.
"No I totally get it I mean why not stare at someone reading when you could go make conversation with them?" Kingo continued and Sprite rolled their eyes.
"Are you done?"
"If you like her you should probably tell her instead of staring at her like a creep," Kingo advised and Sprite frowned.
"I don't like her," They protested and Kingo's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"You sure about that? Because the way you act around her would say otherwise."
"I don't act diff-"
"Sprite!" Corey put the book down and walked over to Sprite.
"Hey, Corey," Sprite greeted, determined to act as normal as possible.
"I was just reading the book you'd given me, I find it interesting. Did you know all those people?" Corey asked.
"Some of them yes, others aren't real, stories that I've told," Sprite said a hint of pride in their voice and Corey's face lit up.
"That's amazing! Also, I was wondering if you might be interested in going shopping with me, I needed some new clothes." Corey smiled then turned to Kingo. "You can come too if you'd like Kingo."
"I'd love to go with you," Sprite answered, while they didn't usually like going shopping they didn't think they'd mind it so much if it was with Corey.
"Me too," Kingo smirked. "Can I bring Druig?"
Kingo knew that if there was one person that would like to tease Sprite with him it would be Druig.
"Sure if he'd like to come he's welcome," Corey shrugged. "I'll be ready in 5 minutes then?"
"That works great!" Kingo smiled at Corey and she nodded before rushing back to grab stuff from her room.
"I thought you didn't like shopping Sprite?" Kingo teased and Sprite glared at him.
"I don't mind it..." Sprite lied.
"Really? Cause I remember asking you just last week and you said you would rather fight seven Deviants at once. Are you sure it's not just cause you want to spend time with Corey?" Kingo continued and Sprite rolled their eyes.
"Also what's up with Druig? Why would he want to come shopping?" Sprite raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, I just thought he might be interested," Kingo smiled.
"He'll probably say no," Sprite reminded Kingo as he turned away to go find Druig.
"I think I have a reason as to why he may want to come." Kingo smiled back at them over his shoulder and Sprite groaned as they realized what Kingo was planning.
Kingo found Druig in his room.
"What do you want Kingo?" Druig asked annoyed and Kingo put his hands up in mock surrender.
"I was asking if you might want to come with me to tease Sprite about their crush on Corey?" Kingo offered and Druig raised an eyebrow.
"Where are we going?"
"Shopping, with Corey."
"Sure, why not?" Druig smirked and Kingo smiled.
"I knew you'd be on board!"
-☼-
Karun drove them over to a nearby mall and Corey rambled excitedly to Sprite who listened with rapt attention.
"Are you two sure you want to come with us?" Sprite asked desperately when they saw the looks Druig and Kingo were exchanging.
"Are you trying to get rid of us Sprite?" Kingo asked with mock offence.
"Of course, we want to come along," Druig smirked at Sprite.
They stopped outside the mall and got out of the car.
"Karun, I'll text you when we're ready," Kingo nodded to Karun.
The car rolled away and Corey led the way into the mall.
"Where do you want to start?" Kingo asked and Corey shrugged.
"Why not in here?" Sprite asked gesturing to a store.
"Kingo, Druig, if you wanted you can go off on your own. I realize it's probably really boring helping me find clothes." Corey offered.
"We came to help we'll stay," Druig told her and she looked at him surprised but didn't argue.
They entered the store and the quiet pop music echoed through the speakers on the ceiling.
"Hello, can I help you with anything?" One of the clerks asked and Corey shook her head.
"I'm alright at the moment, just browsing."
"Well, if you need a changing room just let me know," the employee smiled before walking away.
"Your size would be over there, I think," Sprite offered and Corey smiled taking Sprite's hand as they headed that way (causing Kingo and Druig to both snicker.)
They approached a few racks filled with clothes and Corey and Sprite began looking through the different clothes, Corey took one rack and Sprite took one that was a bit further away.
"Would you like me to hold your hand too?" Kingo teased and Sprite rolled their eyes.
"Shut up," Sprite threatened.
"Sprite, do you think this is a nice shirt?" Corey asked walking over, holding up a hanger with a multicoloured shirt.
"I think it looks nice, do you want me to hold onto it so you can try it on later?" Sprite offered and Corey smiled gratefully.
"You don't mind?" She asked and in response, Sprite took the shirt from her hands.
"Thank you, Sprite!" Corey smiled as she turned back to look for more clothes.
"Aww Sprite can you hold my clothes?" Druig smirked and Sprite shoved the shirt into his hands in annoyance.
Corey waited until she had a small collection of clothes, then found someone to help her get a change room.
"You can't have more than ten items at a time, how many do you have?" This clerk looked like they would rather be anywhere but there.
"Oh, I have eleven..." Corey counted and the clerk shrugged.
"Well, you've got to put one back."
"It's one extra, what difference does it make?" Corey asked and the clerk rolled their eyes.
"Listen, kid, you can only have ten items, sorry," the clear didn't sound that apologetic and Corey frowned at them.
Then their eyes glowed gold and they said something different entirely.
"Take the eleven items, here you go," The clerk handed Corey a hanger for her door and then walked away with jerky movements.
"Thank you Druig," Corey smiled as Druig stopped the mind control and nodded at her.
She opened the change room door as the three of them sat down on a waiting bench. She closed the door and Druig and Kingo turned to Sprite.
"Are you enjoying yourself, Sprite?" Kingo teased and Sprite groaned.
"I would be if you two weren't here."
"That's cruel," Druig shook his head.
"Would you like me to come out and show you?" Corey's voice came from the changing room.
"Sure," Kingo winked at Sprite lowering his voice. "I'm sure that's what you were hoping for, no?"
The door clicked and swung open to reveal Corey. She was wearing a light blue shirt that had a few designs sketched across it in darker blue.
"What do you think?" Corey asked turning to look in the mirror, making eye contact with Sprite through the mirror.
"It's nice, I think it would go with those one pair of pants you have, the grey ones?" Sprite suggested and Corey nodded in understanding.
"Alright, thank you." She turned and reentered the changing room.
"I didn't know you were such a fashion expert?" Kingo teased.
"Do you have all of Corey's wardrobe memorized?" Druig asked and Sprite rolled their eyes for what felt like the hundredth time that day.
The process continued for a while, Corey changing into different clothes and Sprite giving their opinion while Kingo and Druig teased them relentlessly.
When they finished they had picked out a few shirts and with the help of Sprite, they put the rest of them away.
"I can pay for them," Kingo offered and Corey shook her hand.
"No, it's alright I have money," Corey held up her wallet to prove it.
"I don't mind, after all, you've allowed me to have such a nice experience," Kingo insisted looking over at Sprite with a smirk.
"I-"
"Just let him," Druig told her. "He always does this, it's easier to just let him."
Corey looked like she wanted to argue but sighed and didn't say anything.
"Thank you, Kingo," she smiled as they left the store.
"No problem, where to next?"
They headed towards a new store and the process started again.
Sprite held up a shirt and looked at it. "This looks like something I would wear, you wanna try it Core?"
"Is this your way of telling me you want me to wear your clothes?" Corey winked at Sprite and Druig and Kingo looked at each other surprised. Had Corey just tried to flirt with Sprite?
"I...um..." Sprite seemed as surprised as they were and was stumbling with their words.
"I'm kidding!" Corey laughed with a smile and she took the shirt from Sprite. "I'll try it though."
As she turned away Sprite turned around to look at Kingo and Druig their face still surprised.
"I was not expecting that," Kingo confessed.
"Sprite definitely wasn't," Druig agreed and Sprite's expression fell into a sharp glare.
"Oh honestly, can't the both of you just be quiet?"
With the help of Sprite Corey came up with a small pile of clothes and they headed to the changing rooms.
Corey came out and asked for Sprite's opinion on each different item.
"Alright, last one!" Corey opened the door and was wearing the shirt that Sprite had liked.
Sprite froze when they saw her, Corey shifted on the spot.
"Do you like it? It does seem like something you'd wear-"
"I...you look..." Sprite stumbled over their words, they couldn't get the image of Corey wearing their clothes out of their head.
"Are you alright, Sprite?" Corey rushed over worriedly, crouching so she was level with Sprite.
"Is the store too hot? I will say it's a bit warm," Corey lifted a hand to Sprite's forehead. "Your forehead doesn't seem too hot, I'll change back and we can go."
"I...I'm fine," Sprite finally regained control of their speech and Corey smiled in relief.
"Oh thank goodness," Corey breathed a sigh of relief.
"Yeah sorry I just-"
"Sprite's just a bit tongue-tied, flustered even," Kingo teased with a laugh and Sprite turned to glare at him.
"Flustered?" Corey raised her eyebrows but didn't say any more.
"Well, I'll go change back anyways," Corey smiled and she stood up about to turn away.
"Wait," Corey paused and titled her head at Sprite.
"Are you going to get the shirt?" Sprite asked quietly and Corey smiled and crouched back down so that she was quite close to Sprite, close enough that Sprite could see the different colours swirling in her eyes.
"Would you like me to get the shirt?" There was a bit of teasing in Corey's voice and Sprite tried not to redden.
"I-sure, I was just curious-" Sprite seemed to be back to being unable to form full sentences.
"I was planning on getting it, yes," Corey smiled and Sprite nodded.
"I just thought you looked nice...you should wear it." Sprite cursed themself for not being able to form a proper sentence.
"I'll keep that in mind, Sodapop," Corey smiled before turning and heading back into the changing room.
"Sprite are you feeling alright?" Kingo asked and Sprite rolled their eyes. "I mean you seemed so flustered..."
"I'm fine Kingo," Sprite glared at him.
"You didn't look fine, Sprite, you liked you were about to faint when Corey tried to check your temperature," Druig smirked and Sprite sighed.
"You two are the absolute worst."
"Did you like that shirt, Sprite?" Kingo asked.
"Will you two just be quiet?"
"You know most people don't stare that intently at people's lips when they're talking unless they're lip reading and I don't think that was what you were doing," Druig smirked and Sprite scowled at him.
"I wasn't-"
"You ready to go?" Corey smiled opening the door and Sprite nodded.
Kingo once more insisted on buying the clothes, especially the one shirt after the reaction from Sprite.
"One more store then we can go?" Corey suggested and Sprite nodded.
They entered another store and the process started again.
"Oh, I know this song!" Corey smiled at the song playing over the speakers.
"I don't know this one," Sprite admitted and Corey gasped.
"You don't?"
Sprite shook their head and Corey shook their own head in disappointment.
"We can't have that, here." Corey took Sprite's hand and began to twirl and dance with them.
Druig and Kingo exchanged looks and Kingo took out his phone to video the two dancing.
Sprite couldn't think, the constant movement and Corey this close to them had overridden their mind and all they could do was allow Corey to lead them through different moves.
As the song ended the pair stopped, their faces were inches away from each other and they were both taking deep breaths.
Druig and Kingo slow clapped smirking and Sprite who would've been glaring at them if not for the fact that Corey was watching them so closely. Part of Sprite wanted to lean forward just a bit more but they weren't sure how Corey would react.
"Now you'll remember it, that's how I tend to remember music, I make memories with it," Corey explained turning back to the clothes.
"Yeah, I probably won't be forgetting that song anytime soon," Sprite admitted a hint of a smile across their face.
Corey's smile was wide and happy as she turned away.
"Can you dance with me now?" Kingo teased and Sprite turned away.
"Would you like us to sign you up for dance lessons?" Druig smirked.
Just then a clerk walked up to Sprite.
"Are you and your dads finding everything alright?" The clerk asked and Sprite started laughing as Druig and Kingo stared at each other in surprise.
"Yeah we're finding everything alright," Sprite answered between fits of laughter which confused the clerk.
"Also I saw you and your girlfriend dancing you both were quite good," the clerk complimented and Corey heard this as Sprite's eyes widened and now Druig and Kingo were the ones laughing.
"Oh no we're not-" Sprite tried to explain.
"You're breaking up with me?!" Corey exclaimed and Sprite looked over surprised Corey had heard.
"No-I'm-we're not-"
"I can't believe you!" Corey stared at Sprite with fake disgust. "After everything?!"
The clerk took this as their sign to leave and awkwardly left the group, as soon as they were gone Corey dissolved into fits of laughter.
"Sorry about that, I thought it was funny," Corey smiled.
"It's fine, just surprised me that's all," Sprite smiled back unable to resist, Corey's smiles were contagious.
"Anyways I haven't really seen anything, you ready to go?" Corey asked and Sprite nodded.
"Sorry if I made you uncomfortable," Corey whispered as they left and Sprite shook their head.
"No it's alright, don't worry about it." Sprite smiled as they climbed into the car.
As the car turned away Corey put their head down on Sprite's shoulder, at first Sprite tensed from the feeling of Corey that close to them but eventually they relaxed.
Kingo took a photo of the two of them and smirked at Druig.
"I can't wait to tell the others," Kingo whispered.
-☼-
As they turned into the driveway Corey sat up and Sprite tried to ignore the disappointment they felt.
"Do you mind helping me put my new clothes away?" Corey asked and Sprite nodded.
"Yeah sure, I don't mind," Sprite smiled.
They headed up to Corey's room while the Druig and Kingo headed to the kitchen to tell the others about the day.
"Where have you two been all day?" Sersi asked upon their arrival.
"We were watching Sprite and Corey painfully ignore their feelings for each other," Druig answered sitting down next to Makkari.
"What are you talking about?" Phastos asked.
"Well, Sprite has a crush on Corey and it's quite clear to anyone but Sprite that she likes them back," Kingo explained and Sersi smiled with a raised eyebrow.
"So that's why Sprite stares at Corey whenever they're in the same room?" Makkari signed and Kingo nodded.
"Where are the two of them anyways?" Sersi asked.
"Corey's room, Sprite was helping her put away her clothes," Kingo answered.
-☼-
The Eternals were sitting around the table eating dinner, Corey and Sprite kept shifting their gaze awkwardly trying to act normal but Kingo wasn't fooled.
"What's up with you two?" He asked and they both jolted up as if they'd been electrified.
"Nothing, nothing is up," Sprite answered quickly and Kingo raised an eyebrow.
"Corey?" Kingo looked over at Corey who was staring at Sprite with a glazed-over expression. "You alright?"
"Yep, fine, great even," Corey responded speedily.
"Why are you two acting like this?" Kingo asked.
"Acting like what? We're both acting how we normally do," Sprite replied taking a bite of their food trying to act nonchalant.
Corey looked back over to Sprite and she must have looked zoned out since it prompted Sersi to ask her a question.
"Corey, you seem very zoned out are you alright?" Sersi asked and Corey shot to attention.
"What no Sprite and I didn't kiss," Corey asked missing the conversation completely and beside her Sprite shifted.
"That was not what I asked," Sersi raised an eyebrow smiling.
"You kissed?" Kingo asked looking between the two of them with a smirk.
"Sorry," Corey murmured and Sprite took their hand.
"It's fine, they would've found out anyways," Sprite reassured her.
"About time," Druig smirked at Kingo.
"Honestly, I thought you two were going to at the mall when dancing," Kingo admitted.
"Dancing?" Sersi repeated.
"Oh, here I have a video of it," Kingo reached for his phone.
"Don't you dare or I'll tell everyone about what that clerk said about you and Druig," Sprite threatened and this caused some interest from the table.
"What did they say?" Makkari signed.
"Well, they were under the impression that Druig and Kingo were my dads," Sprite smirked as the table exploded into laughter and shouts of protest from Druig and Kingo.
Sprite and Corey smiled at each other.
"Love you, Sodapop," Corey whispered.
"Love you, Core."
Notes:
This was definitely a longer scene but I really enjoyed it so oh, well. Also, I realize if the whole thing with Druig using his powers was kinda strange and useless it was kinda just to show the feelings between Druig and Corey, simple respect but not quite friendship or anything. Also, Corey definitely knew what she was saying when Sersi asked. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this scene.

Chapter 17: Extra Scene 6 [Pieces Of You]
Notes:
This chapter also takes place before Sprite and Corey admit their feelings because I've found that those are the most fun for me to write :)))
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Sprite was sitting on the couch flipping through an old book of theirs when Kingo sat down next to them causing a dip in the couch.
"Hello Sprite," Kingo greeted and Sprite looked away from their book.
"Do you need something Kingo?" Sprite asked annoyed at being disturbed.
"I wanted to ask you something," Kingo answered and Sprite sighed and put down the book.
"What?"
"What do you think of Corey?" He asked and Sprite looked at him confused.
"That's really random, why are you asking me this?" Sprite questioned.
"Well, I just walked by your room and I saw Corey taking some of your clothes and I know how much you hate it when people touch your stuff so I wanted to see how angry you would be and whether or not I would need to help you hide her body," Kingo explained and Sprite rolled their eyes.
"I told her she could take some stuff, I left it out for her," Sprite answered and Kingo's eyebrows lifted in surprise.
"You let her take your clothes?" Kingo repeated and Sprite exhaled through their nose in frustration.
"They were looking for some new clothes and they always complimented my clothes so I figured I'd let them take some of my old ones that I never wear anymore," Sprite shrugged.
"You think they liked your clothes...nothing else?" Kingo asked and Sprite looked at him.
"What else would they be talking about?" Sprite questioned.
"Sprite, I think Corey was complimenting you, I think Corey likes you..." Kingo told them and Sprite shook their head.
"No, I don't think that's it," Kingo saw the small glimmer of hope in Sprite's eye and anyone could hear that their words were filled with sadness.
"Sprite? Do you like Corey?" Kingo asked carefully and Sprite furrowed their eyebrows.
"What?"
"Would you date Corey given the chance?" Kingo rephrased his question and Sprite paused to think about it.
"I-"
"Sprite!" Corey flounced down the stairs with a smile on her face. "What do you think?"
Corey was wearing one of Sprite's old shirts, Sprite remembered that shirt they'd worn it a few times but hadn't liked it that much.
"It's...you...amazing..." Sprite couldn't force more than a few words out they were in awe, the thought of Corey wearing their clothes hadn't been a big deal but as they saw Corey in them it felt like the most perfect thing. Corey looked amazing in the shirt it was almost like they were born to wear it, Sprite couldn't imagine Corey looking more perfect in anything else.
"Are you feeling ok?" She walked over and took Sprite's hand. All Sprite could feel was Corey's warm hand intertwined with their own.
"Sprite is it the shirt? I can change back into my own clothes and give it back if you'd like, I understand not wanting to give up some things," Corey looked worried, Sprite wanted her to wear the shirt it suited him.
"No, that's not it," Sprite shook their head forcing the words out of their mouth.
"Are you sure? I don't mind," Corey gave Sprite a patient smile.
"No, it looks better on you than it ever did me. I never wore it much anyways." Sprite smiled back and Corey's smile grew.
"I think it would've looked fantastic on you, everything seems to," Corey complimented and Sprite tried not to blush.
They stood there for a minute, holding one another hand and staring at each other.
"How long is this weird staring contest going to go on for?" Kingo interrupted the moment and they both looked over at him.
"Sorry," Corey apologized and he let go of Sprite's hand. Sprite felt a rush of disappointment, their hand felt so much colder without Corey's.
"I told Sersi I would help with dinner so I better go..." Corey pointed with her thumb and Sprite nodded sadly.
"Yeah that's fine," Corey turned to leave. "You look really good, in the shirt I mean. It looks wonderful on you."
Corey's face lit up and Sprite felt a smile break across their own face.
"I'm glad you think so, I'll see you at dinner Sodapop!"
With that, Corey left the room and Sprite collapsed deeper into the couch.
"Are you alright Sprite?" Kingo looked a little worried and Sprite sighed turning to him.
"Kingo...I think I like Corey..."
-☼-
Sprite sat at the table with the other Eternals, their mind was busy trying to navigate this new feeling.
"This is amazing Corey," Sersi complimented and Corey smiled.
"Thanks, I'm not much of a chef, it's my grandma's recipe," Corey answered and Sersi nodded.
"Well, it's still very good. And is that a new shirt?" Sersi pointed with her fork.
"Oh it's one of Sprite's they gave me a few of their old ones," Corey explained and everyone looked at Sprite in surprise, it was no secret that they hated when people took their stuff.
"I just thought she might get some use of it since I wasn't," Sprite defended themself.
"Are you sure it's not 'cause you like seeing Corey in your clothes?" Druig smirked from the other end of the table and Sprite shook their head.
"No."
Corey looked between the two of them confused but didn't say anything.
The table fell silent as everyone finished their meal.
Sprite walked by Corey's room where they found them sitting on their bed holding one of Sprite's old shirts close to them.
"You alright Corey?" Sprite asked and Corey looked up and smiled.
"Yeah, your shirts just smell nice, they smell like you," Corey admitted and Sprite sat down on the bed next to them with a raised eyebrow.
"I have a smell?"
"Mhm."
"What do I smell like?" Sprite asked and Corey looked up meeting their eyes.
"You."
Sprite smiled and Corey laid down.
"Do you mind if I lay down?" Sprite asked and Corey smiled.
"Be my guest."
Sprite laid down next to Corey, they weren't far from each other and they smiled at each other.
"Thank you for the shirts Sprite, it feels like I have a piece of you with me when I wear them," Corey told them and Sprite smiled.
"I'm glad you like them."
Corey paused them slid a ring they always wore off their finger and handed it to Sprite. It was a silver band with not much on it but it had a design carved into it.
"Here. So you always have a piece of me." Corey smiled and Sprite shook their head.
"Oh no, I can't-"
"It's alright I was planning to get new rings soon anyways." Corey pushed the ring into Sprite's hand and they reluctantly accepted it.
Sprite slid the ring onto their middle finger and Corey smiled.
"I love it, Corey," Sprite smiled.
Corey didn't respond and Sprite looked up, Corey's eyes were closed and their body rose and fell with their breathing.
Sprite smiled and felt their own eyes flutter shut.
A while later Sersi walked over to Corey's room.
"Corey, I was wondering if you could give me that reci-" The word died on her lips as she saw Sprite and Corey laying there.
"Nevermind," she murmured and she quietly shut the door.
"Goodnight Corey and Sprite," she whispered and she smiled to herself as she headed back to her own room.
Notes:
Sprite realizing they like Corey anyone? This will be my last extra scene, for now, I can't guarantee that I won't do more in the future because they are quite fun for me to write (in case you couldn't tell.) I'm sorry if you didn't really enjoy them and I realize they were rather repetitive I was running out of ideas. If anyone has any ideas feel free to share them with me and I'll see what I can do, it can be anything from a scene to a few lines and if I do turn it into an extra scene I will be sure to credit whoever gave me the idea. But for now, I will say goodbye. Thank you all and I hope you enjoyed these fun little chapters :)
