Lingering Poems

Summary:

"The flower of zeal,
My spirit stores
And my soul
Shall awaits you
In the blue abyss beyond."
~ Chapter 2 ("Flower of Zeal")

"As for you,
There is nothing more to say,
But:
Walk tall, my friends.
Until the very end."
~ Chapter 3 ("Walk Tall")

A collection of poems inspired by the game Final Fantasy XV.

"I hope you can forgive me, Noct.
From the place where I'm from."
~ Chapter 6 ("Forgive Me, Noct")

Enjoy! (especially the emotional hurt, because I too can't get enough of it :))

"Father,
I miss you every night and every day
With each step I'll go
It reminds me of you
Of you and the stories you told
About your own retinue"
~ Chapter 5 ("Father")

Notes:

First: Thank you so much for reading my poems! I'm still a newby around ao3 and I hope you all like what I write!

Second: I'm from Germany, sooo... English is not my first language and I hope I don't do that much mistakes. So give me critism, when something is not to your liking or something doesn't make sense!

Third: I'm so obsessed with FFXV, so I finally decided to post some of my beloved poems on this plattform!

And last: Do not forget to leave any Kudos!

Chapter 1: Our Calling

Chapter Text

Dear Noctis,

You shall fulfill your calling,

Even if I'm falling.

It's my prize to pay,

Doing the oracle's pray.

You must bring the light back,

The Accursed one to attack.

There will be many sacrifices

In your retinue of surprises,

But listen,

Oh Chosen King,

You must rise,

The light you bring.

As the oracle

I will remain on your side

And fulfill my duty

With pride.

But fear not,

When I'll be fought.

The king should remain calm

By my fall.

I will rest,

When all the dark is gone

And you and I

Meet in the beyond,

Forever shall hold

Our bond.

Don't turn away your face,

Oh Chosen One,

Even when your friends

Are done,

It's not yours to decide,

Which should be gone,

Only to suppress the dawn.

So gather strength,

Chosen One,

Defeat the dark

And show me your love

Infront of our

Sylleblossom park.
