Summary
Kieran had changed, if only a little. Gained back the weight that he’d lost. He lost his voice for a time after the O’Driscolls got their hands on him. Sean and him only interacted a little afterwards, he was more of a ghost walking around camp. He knows he looks very different from back then. So does Sean. “S’me, Sean.” Was all he could say.
Sean stares at him, eyes angry and full of confusion. Looking over the man before him. His hands up and his knees weak. He feels like the Kieran Duffy from years ago, the one who was always fearing death. Sean’s confusion is traded for laughter. “Oh shit. O’Driscoll boy?” He puts the gun back in its holster. -

cute. i can forgive the small tense inconsistencies for a world where kieran and sean survive and are roommates. some of my favorite tropes (caregiver kieran, kieran regained weight, kieran ptsd symptoms triggered by presence of gang member, eventual bed sharing, sean is sean)
