Chapter Text

“Alpha,” he cries into the phone, because for the nth time he’s been trying to reach Jungkook, they haven’t seen each other in two weeks and Jimin is not sure what’s happening to him, but since yesterday he feels like dying.

All of his friends are busy, and he can’t worry them, it doesn’t help that they don’t like Jungkook too much either, they’ll probably say Jimin is sick because Jungkook left him again, knowing their wolves have bonded, and need constant care and time together to be okay.

“Hello, you have reached the voicemail of Jeon—” Jimin hangs up before his alpha’s voice rings in his brain again, but not live or caring, just that automated cold work voice he uses for everything else and everyone else but Jimin. He can’t help but give up, crying softly to himself as the headache he’s feeling turns into a painful pounding, as if someone was trying to drill into his head. He curls up on the couch, body screaming at him to go to his nest, where touches of Jungkook’s scent still lay.

But he can’t, not when it will only make him miss Jungkook more.

“Min? I’m sorry to drop unannounced but I’ve been calling you all day,” a voice says after the sound of a closing door, Jimin only whines, the scent of wilted jasmine and roses intensifying ever so slightly, “woah, this place stinks, what the fuck, Min?” the voice calls, much closer now, Jimin wants to say something, anything but his mouth is too dry to get a word out.

Everything hurts. Everything.

“Shit, are you sick?” The voice says, and now only can Jimin decipher that this is Seokjin, his thick strawberry scent making its way to Jimin’s nostrils. After a few seconds he feels a hand come to his forehead and as soon as it touches it, it’s gone, “Jimin! You’re burning up, how— have you been like this all day?!” Seokjin raises his voice, if there’s one thing he doesn’t tolerate is seeing Jimin sick, and alone.

“Yes—“ Jimin tries, he’s not sure how much time has passed but he does know it was night and now it’s day, close to night again, probably?

“You’ve been like this all day then? Why didn’t you answer?” Jin says, taking his half-word as the answer, but Jimin quickly takes Jin’s hand, groaning at the pain the movement puts him in.

“Yes—yesterday, Hyung.” He croaks out, throat raw, Jin opens his eyes wide, hands coming to cradle Jimin’s face, and Jimin’s whole body sighs, even if his wolf screams at him from having another alpha that is not his so close to him, but Jimin doesn’t pay mind to it, too hurt and lonely to even care.

“Don’t worry, I’m calling Yoongi, alright? We are going to the hospital.” Is all Jimin hears, before Seokjin slowly scents him, and he knocks out.

❀✿❁

“Just do it, Yoongs, I’m telling you after he passed out and his scent went a bit back to normal I could smell it on him.”

“I can’t really do it based on only your instincts, alpha” there’s some clattering then a groan.

“It’s just drawing blood, a simple test. Or just, why don’t you just smell him?”

“I was in surgery this morning, and had to take some suppressors.”

“But you smell the same to me.”

“It’s wearing off but my sense of smell still sucks”

“Okay, I’ll sign a form. Just, test him, Yoongi.”

“Don’t ‘Yoongi’ me, Alpha Jin.” There’s a gasp, and this time Jimin can’t really hold the small laugh, even if watery, that escapes his lips.

His hyungs often have the most silly debates.

“Good, you’re awake, Jimin.” Yoongi says, Jimin smells the raw scent of whiskey drowning him, many don’t like that Yoongi is an omega that smells so strong but Jimin loves it, basking in it. Feeling calm, his heart aches, knowing that he didn’t want to worry his friends but did so anyways, however he takes the care, knowing he needs it too.

“Hey, Hyung.” He greets, weak still but feeling much better, he eyes his arm to see an IV tube coming out of it, and as if reading his thoughts Yoongi is quick to calm him.

“I couldn’t really do a lot of tests since you were unconscious and had no sign of trauma or emergency symptoms, so I just hooked you to a monitor and some IV fluids, do you know what could have happened to you to make you like this?” Yoongi says, already entering his professional persona, worried but still focused enough to help Jimin.

Jimin shakes his head, even though he has a theory, it hurts too much to voice it out loud.

“Where’s your alpha?” Yoongi asks, eyeing Jimin, the moment Jimin averts his eyes, his Hyung only sighs, and Jimin breaks at the disappointment he’s met with.

“Oh, Jimin” Jin, voices from a bit farther in the room, “how long has it been?” Jimin can already smell the calming pheromones coming from both of his hyungs, he relaxes considerably, and tries to ignore the way his own scent wilts.

“Two weeks.”

“Asshole” Jin says, standing up and pacing the room, Yoongi turns to him almost instantly.

“Hyung calm down,” he says, turning to Jimin right away, putting the patient chart away, “do you think it’s because of that only?” He asks, a bit more skeptical than what he usually is, Jimin looks at the way Yoongi and Jin exchange gazes and frowns.

“What? Do you think it’s something else?” Jimin is not sure why he gets defensive, but he does anyway, “because I don’t usually get sick, and used to work in this hospital too, with kids, and I never got sick” Jin is the first to react, approaching Jimin with his hands up, as if Jimin was on the verge of going feral, when he’s not. He’s just tired, hurt and mad.

“No, I— he doesn’t believe me,” Jin starts, eyeing Yoongi,  “but I think you’re pre—”

“You know what? Can you sign this, Jimin?” Yoongi says, sweetening his smell, incredibly so, if the way Jin’s nose twitches is any indication, he releases calming pheromones and smiles, “it’s just for me to be able to do some tests, we can just be sure that nothing’s really wrong, help us not be worried yeah? it’s probably nothing and just your bond with him like always.” Jimin stays calm, eyes switching between his hyungs, he sighs and nods, signing the form and dropping back on the bed.

“I’m fine, really. Jungkook will probably appear in a few days,” he says, possibly to convince himself more than anything else, it’s not the first time it happens, but it is the first time that the symptoms of being apart from Jungkook are so harsh. Their wolves bonded but since their necks stay clear, it’s not really completed, not at all. So they’re unable to feel their feelings, their worries and each other, like most mates do.

Jimin doesn’t mind waiting, not at all, Jungkook always says it’ll be their time. And he believes his lover, wholeheartedly. If they share a bond, even without mating is enough reason for him to trust their love. Not many wolves are lucky enough to find someone they can bond with, so well too.

Jimin was so in his mind he didn’t notice Yoongi approaching him with the needle to draw blood, Yoongi only smiles a little and gets to it quickly, muttering a small “see you” before leaving the room, Jimin sighs, finding comfort in the known hospital halls and the way his room smells like his hyungs.

“Wake me up when he’s back, yeah Hyung?” Jimin says, Jin nods, watching him fondly, before sitting in the visitor chair by the front of the bed, giving his back to Jimin and turning the TV on.

There’s a female voice in Jimin’s brain, a broadcaster of sorts, a female reporter talking about his alpha. His eyebrows furrow, and throat closes up as he hears the report.

Soon to be CEO Jeon Jungkook married!

It is presumed that the next CEO in line for Jeon Corporation is out of the market! Sources say the alpha had a private and small wedding, to avoid overwhelming his now wife and future mate. Oh, how considerate!

A door opens then, and some hurried steps,

“Jimin?” a voice says, and he’s once again drowned in whisky. Yoongi is back. Jin turns to look at Jimin, wide-eyed, as if he didn’t expect for Jimin to be awake, he turns the TV off, but it’s too late.

It wasn’t a dream, it wasn’t a nightmare, Jimin saw it and heard it all.

Yoongi doesn’t know, has no idea, so he proceeds to open the test and approaches Jimin. He doesn’t see Jin shaking his head, trying to stop him, Yoongi appears too shocked to pay attention to anything other than Jimin and the test results he has in hand.

When he’s right in front of Jimin, Jimin has tears in his eyes,  the news leaving him broken, in despair. Yoongi, unknowingly wipes a stray tear away, thinking that maybe Jimin already knows the results of the test.

But he doesn’t, and the next words, change his life forever. They send him through the clouds and then let him go at the very top, from there on, it’s a never-ending fall, with a landing he doesn’t expect to survive.

“You’re pregnant, Jimin,” Yoongi says, but Jimin is too far gone, his omega takes over and wails, deafening cries leave his mouth, Jin and Yoongi hold him, but it’s to no avail, Jimin trashes around, his omega tearing itself apart with the knowledge that his alpha married another while still bonded to Jimin, the knowledge that they were expecting and his alpha didn't know nor did care because he married another, too much to bear.

Jimin passes out after almost two hours of tears and screams, his scent bitter, wilted and dead. Eyes sunken and hands loosely holding his flat belly.

“Yoongi—” Jin says, cheeks stained with dried tears, his alpha howling at the thought of their Jimin, who is like a little brother to them, being in so much pain.

“We need to help him, love. If—,” Yoongi looks at Jimin passed out state, “if he doesn’t find a will to live, even if on his own, he won’t survive the pregnancy.” He says, hand coming to brush off Jimin’s sweaty bangs.

❀✿❁

With every ounce of courage he managed to gather in the two days he has been bedridden, Jimin walks towards the skyscraper that is The Jeon Corporation. He’s been here a handful of times, Jungkook sneaking him into his office and even bringing him through the front doors once or twice. It’s not ideal, Jungkook did always say to never, never walk the halls of the building alone.

But his alpha won’t answer his messages, won’t return his calls. It’s as if he vanished from the very face of earth, and Jimin is left with a hurting bond and an offspring on the way.

It’s a choice that even as he takes the elevator, to the floor he knows well, has him shaken and scared. Because, he’s not sure what he will do or say. He’s not sure what will become of them after this, he’s not sure this will change the fact that Jungkook is now married.

He’s not sure of anything but he knows, his omega yearns for their alpha to know they’re with child.

He makes it relatively easily, the office quickly coming into his view. There’s usually a secretary at a desk just in front of it, but he’s surprised when the usual cheerful and loyal beta that greets him is not there. He decides to pay it no mind, head low as he approaches the office, he doesn’t take well to his surroundings, and didn’t even glance up since he’s made it into the building.

It was more for Jimin’s sake than anything, it’s better that way. He glances quickly up, making sure there’s no one in the hallway and then sprints to make it to the office. He stops abruptly with a hand on the handle when he hears voices.

Female voices that come out of the office.

His heart quickens, and even though he knows he should leave. Even though his omega trashes to take him out of there, he stays and listens.

“Ma’am—” a voice says, nervous and small, the scent too subdued to make out anything else, Jimin wonders if it’s the beta, Jungkook’s secretary.

“Hmm,” another voice says, it’s an omega. Jimin can tell that much by the sweetness of the scent, the way it overpowers almost anything close to the office, but it’s heightened like the omega wants the scent to stay. Like they want everyone to know they are in there, or passing through. Jimin’s own omega starts thrashing in him, disgusted and mad at the omega, hating the pretentious aura and intentions, “put that there Daehyun, I think it makes the office look better.” the same voice says, there’s some rustling then a humming sound.

“I think it’s perfect Daeri!” another one says, probably Daehyun, it’s another omega too, her scent too drowned in the sugary apples and honey scent of the other omega.

“Ma’am—,” the beta starts again, “as I said earlier, Mr. Jeon doesn’t like anyone coming into his office, and— and—” the beta stutters, Jimin can only imagine the poor girl curled up on herself, “and he particularly doesn’t like anyone moving his stuff… he hates bright colors too! Ma’am, I’m pleading!” the beta says, her subdued scent making its way to Jimin, more prominent thanks to the stress she’s going through.

“I am Choi Daeri. Mr. Jeon’s wife. So you make good use of yourself, you useless beta, and go fetch me some coffee, how about that? Shut that little mouth of yours!” Her voice is shrilling, a fake sugary tone to it, dripping with sarcasm and meanness. Jimin bristles, he absolutely hates bullies, it takes everything in him to not intervene, knowing it would only turn out bad for him.

The doorknob wobbles, and Jimin sprints back from it, hiding by the side of the office, he watches the beta run out, not even paying attention to her surroundings. When Jimin looks back to the office the door is ajar, he can’t help but go back to his earlier position, to listen in, catching scents and voices more clearly now that the door has a small opening.

“Can’t believe you married so fast!” The voice from earlier says, not a beat passes, and there’s an answer from the other girl, but Jimin is at a stop, heart racing at the implications.

The girl inside the office is Jungkook's wife.

“Mmm, this is why I’m here with you, my dear friend Dahyun, I’m doing a makeover to his office as a gift” The woman, Daeri, Jungkook’s wife says, Jimin questions himself, wondering why he stays there to listen, when her scent, her words, only bring hurt to him.

Her mere existence does.

Daehyun hums, pensive almost, “I heard he had another omega. A male omega. It was a rumor for a long time,” she says, it triggers Jimin's fight or flight to know these vicious beings had any idea about him. His omega is alerted, ready to save him from whatever danger he may face but he breathes and tries to calm down. No one even knows he’s there.

“Yeah, I know. But he cut him off, I don’t really care as long as he’s loyal to me now and didn’t have a kid or anything with that bitch.” Jimin’s hand starts to tremble, tears threatening to come out, he’s not sure if it’s rage or hurt. The way she talks so lowly of him, the way she’s so close to a truth not even Jungkook knows.

It leaves him in a maddening state.

“Imagine that! Can you imagine if he was pregnant? If Jungkook had gotten pregnant that omega male bitch?” Daehyun says, Jimin’s omega bristles, and unconsciously he holds a hand to his stomach. Protective instincts kicking in, they only get worse with Daeri’s next words.

“I would’ve made him abort it. I don’t need another omega’s offspring threatening my relationship or future. If I even see the bitch I’ll make him regret even crossing Jungkook’s life. He’s mine now. Mine.” When she finishes speaking, Jimin is already taking hurried steps down the hall, rushing to get out of there. His omega screams at him to run back, to confront that bitch and show her that he shares a bond with Jungkook, that he is carrying his child and that Jungkook is theirs. Only theirs.

But Jimin only thinks about her words, about how dangerous someone like that is. The danger they pose not only on his existence, but his pup’s too. Only when he makes that comment in his mind, does his omega calm down.

Even if it hurts too much, even if not seeing their alpha again will kill all hope of happiness and love for him and his omega, as Jimin leaves the building, taking a cab to his home and never looking back, he makes a choice.” They’ve never been as sure and as one when making a decision before.

They will put their pups' lives first. No matter what it takes.

❀✿❁

“Jimin,” Jin says, he’s been following Jimin all morning, hellbent on getting him to the hospital. It’s been a month since they’ve found out Jimin was pregnant, Jimin’s already showing, a great feat for a male omega who’s only a rough three months along and who was as fit as Jimin.

Jin’s worried, but his alpha feels that it’s nothing to worry about. Ever since they found out, he and his alpha are as one, worrying and trying to take care of Jimin.

But Jimin is stubborn. He doesn’t want to go to the hospital and even if he does have strong reasons, they should risk it anyway. But Jimin doesn’t listen, he keeps cleaning the apartment (a habit he won’t let go off every time he needs to think) and ignoring Jin.

“We need to keep a watch on you. You need to go to the hospital. It will only be Yoongi and me, in and out, he won’t even open a patient chart. He did delete your last results. You’re safe.” Jin tries to convince him, he’s not sure what Jimin went through, but Jimin is more paranoid than before.

Jeon corporation has too many connections, too many subsidiaries, they’re in charge of hospitals, hotels, gas stations and many other things. It's like an all- powerful octopus. Unfortunately enough, all the hospitals in Seoul are part of Jeon's corporation, meaning that if Jimin is treated at any of the hospitals they have a connection with, there is a chance that someone in the Jeon family will find out.

Which is something Jimin doesn’t want, and to be honest, neither does Jin. He knows that Jeon Jungkook's kid may have loved Jimin, but the same can’t be said for his family.

Or his wife.

“I’m not going. It’s still too risky.” Jimin says, bending to dust off his TV stand, he’s motivated to stay active, since he’s refusing to go to the hospital, but he is reading a lot about pregnancies, focused on doing the best, physically and mentally, to ensure his pup’s safety.

“We’re doing it at 1am today. We have taken all the precautions. End of discussion. I know it’s risky but we need to at least do an ultrasound. Make sure everything is okay, and it’s better now that you’re not full-on showing than later,” Jin walks towards the door, a sigh leaving him as he prepares to leave, “be ready when I come then, please.”

As soon as Jin leaves, Jimin sighs, stopping to rest a bit on his couch. Ever since he’s found out he was expecting, he’s been fighting within himself, trying to stay as positive as possible. The idea of meeting his little offspring keeps him going, his omega too, both concentrated in keeping themselves and their pup safe. But on most nights, when all the food Jimin has eaten throughout the day threatens to spill back out, when his body is too cold even when his nest is full of pillows and blankets, when his heart and omega yearn for their alpha to soothe the pains of his slowly stretching belly.

On those nights, he cries himself to sleep, afraid of never seeing Jungkook again. Afraid of his kid never meeting their other dad. He misses Jungkook, enough to feel that a piece of his soul has been chipped out. It scares him the most to think that maybe their bond could deteriorate with the time spent apart. Because even if he can’t have Jungkook, knowing Jungkook’s alpha is Jimin’s, as much as Jimin’s omega is Jungkook’s, helps sometimes.

“Should I go tonight, baby?” Jimin says, hands over his belly, eyes watering, “I’m excited to hear your little heartbeat, you know? But daddy’s trying to protect you.” Jimin says, hand coming up to wipe his tears away. He can't wait to have his little pup with him. Protect him from all that he can. He knows it won’t be easy, to be on his own through it all. But he’ll make it, because at the end, it’s worth it.

“Your uncles won’t let anything happen to you. I should trust them a bit, right?” Jimin knows Jin and Yoongi would do anything to protect him, but his fear is intact, and real. He knows what the snake elites are capable of doing, just for money, just for good connections.

Jimin can’t take what he heard Jungkook’s wife say as a joke, not when there’s more than only his life at stake.

Therefore it’s hard to let his Hyungs help him, not only because he’s trying to protect himself, but protect them too. They’re his accomplices, in some way. He can’t have them risk their lives for Jimin, too.

“I’ll go, this once. Because it’s important.” Maybe, if they try enough, if they’re careful enough, maybe Jimin can squeeze more of these visits in. That would help keep his pup safe too.

“Why don’t we take a nap now?” He rubs his belly gently, a small smile adorning his lips, he can do this. For his child. He can. With that determination in mind, he falls asleep.

“Jimin, bub.” Jin nudges him, Jimin’s nap went longer than he expected, and now he has a gentle Seokjin in front of him, encouraging him to get up. He groans, eyes barely blinking.

“Are you going?” Jin helps him sit up, hands fussing over Jimin’s hair, Jimin follows the touch, needing the comfort, he nods, answering Jin’s question and he notes how Jin’s scent brightens too. His Hyung cares too much about him, entirely too much. Jin has always been there for Jimin, when Jimin went to college and was nothing but a lost lamb. Jin, on the verge of graduating, guided him through it all. They’ve been together ever since, Jin has helped Jimin through college, med school and through the nights where Jimin’s nurse work got hard.

When Jimin lost his job because of his relationship with Jungkook, Jin was there too. Promised to help Jimin, and Jimin always turned him down, because Jungkook was helping him already, promising to give Jimin’s job back to him.

But Jungkook left, before making any of his promises true.

Jin helps Jimin get ready, oversized everything, drowning Jimin in clothes, he tops it all off with a scented jacket, and Jimin happily puts it on, heart full. As soon as they step out, the cold air hits them hard,  but Jimin is comfortable and warm, thanks to Jin. January has been colder than earlier years, whiter too, or maybe it’s Jimin’s current predicament that makes him feel it all more.

Either way, he’s grateful to have people to warm him up. Even if not who he really wants.

They ride in silence, Jimin humming to himself the tunes of the radio, he watches the city go by, how pretty but lonely Seoul feels at this time of night, this time of the year. He can’t help but feel nostalgic, feeling in some way connected to Seoul more than any other day. Because at this time of night Jimin feels most alone too, devoid of any warmth, any life. It’s as if he’s a living representation of what these streets look like right now. Only a few people left wandering around, lone beings, leaving their footprints in the fresh fallen snow, drunk and lost people, perhaps lonely, just like Jimin.

It tears at his heart and he can’t help but snuggle more into his jacket, looking for more warmth. He wonders if, just like him, at this time of night Jungkook thinks about him, if just like Jimin, he feels how their wolves yearn for the other, crying every night in loneliness. He can’t help but wonder if Jungkook’s cold, or if he, now married, shares a life with his soon to be mate, if he, unlike Jimin, spends his nights warm.

Whole, unlike the broken pieces of Jimin he left behind.

Jimin’s omega trashes inside of him, hurt evident at the thought of their alpha with another. Perhaps that’s why Jimin’s omega stays silent on most nights, it only really appears when Jimin thinks about his pup. He can feel the shift inside of him, Jimin knows he should not think too much about Jungkook, knows the way it hurts him, the way it sets his omega off, but he can’t help it.

Perhaps with more time, maybe then, he’ll be able to regain just a little more of himself.

“We’re here.” Jin says, stopping Jimin’s train of thought, Jimin realises then that they’re already at the hospital's back entrance. He was so focused on the view of the streets at some point but it only ended with him slipping into his mind more. He didn’t even notice his surroundings. He sighs, trying to rid his mind of negative thoughts, thinking that today he’ll be able to see, even if just a little dot, his little pup.

They walk and instead of going through the automatic sliding doors, a doorknob rattles just a little away and Yoongi's head peaks out. “Come through here!” He whispers, and Jimin and Jin follow.

“It was crazy getting the ultrasound machine ready without suspicion! One of the nurses, I think you know which one Min,” Yoongi says, turning back to Jimin and then glancing right back to the front, “Yeori? I think, whatever she was asking ME if I was planning on getting pregnant soon.” Yoongi scoffs, while Jimin’s eyes wander towards a very red Jin, and he puts a sweater paw over his mouth to stifle his laugh.

“I know that one, it’s Seori.” Jimin worked with her one time and never wanted to do another shift with her again. She’s not bad, she’s brilliant and funny, but, “she’s way too nosy, if you need to know something, there’s a 100% chance that she knows it, it’s scary.” Jimin even thought that she was the first to know about his relationship with Jungkook. But the way she cried when Jimin was fired, and the way she kept asking why Jimin didn’t tell her sooner, made him think otherwise.

Because that's another thing about her, even if she knows about everything and is incredibly nosy, she protects people, in her own way, and she never uses her gossiping skills for bad. Which is, all in all, surprising.

“Well, she snuck the gel out of the supply room and told me to do what I needed. It wasn’t bad but it made me sweat.” Yoongi says they finally arrive at a small room, devoid of almost anything but the ultrasound machine. Jimin’s heart quickly speeds up, and his hand unconsciously comes to his lower belly. Will everything be okay with his pup? Has Jimin done something wrong? Can they get hurt if they don’t feel their alpha close?

His thoughts are once again interrupted by Jin’s hand on his shoulder, Jimin turns to him to find himself with a warm smile and kind eyes, “you’re stinking up bub,” Jin says, eyes crinkling, “we are here with you and I promise, everything will be fine.” Jin says, guiding him to the patient chair. Jimin lays down on it, pulling his shirt up to avoid overthinking it.

"It will all be fine, Min. Your omega would be thrashing inside you if it weren't." It reminds Jimin that his omega has, in fact, been thrashing around, restless and unsettled, but Yoongi takes his hand, seeking eye contact. “but your omega isn’t, not for that reason anyways.” He says, and it’s true. His omega is only yearning for their alpha.

Jimin exhales, calming his heart, Yoongi squeezes his hand and let’s go, moving to prepare the gel on top of the ultrasound head, “you know how it goes, it will be a bit cold,” and it is, Yoongi places the probe on Jimin’s stomach and with a bit of pressure, moves it around. Jimin gasps a little, hand moving to hold Jin’s.

Everything is quiet for a minute, then Yoongi presses a button and the room is quickly filled with the sound of a beating heart. It resonates through all of Jimin, the little thuds inevitably making him gasp, he brings his free hand to his mouth and silently cries, heart filling with an unknown feeling, something so incredibly amazing but sad, because in that moment he feels he has everything. His little pup, a whole new part of him, and his love, for him and Jungkook.

But Jungkook is not there, not with Jimin. Or their pup.

He cries silently, feeling how Jin and Yoongi ease their scent to comfort him, Jin’s hand quickly coming to card his fingers through Jimin’s hair.

Everything is like that, Yoongi keeps moving the probe, making sure everything is alright but just before removing it, he gasps. It comes out so surprising that it squeezes Jimin’s heart, cries stopping only for his body to replace everything, even his scent, with fear. Pure fear that something’s wrong.

“What’s wrong Hyung? What’s happening?” Jimin asks, rushed, heart thudding uncontrollably, trying to sit up, scent turning bitter.

“Jimin calm down,” Jin shushes him, turning to Yoongi too, waiting for an answer. He too worries about Jimin, but he knows Yoongi does too, so he trusts Yoongi to  know the best about the situation to come. Yoongi looks at them, wide eyes teary, a rare feat to see in the omega. Something that only happens when he truly cares about something. Jin knows his omega well, it tugs at his alpha even more, trying to use their bond to guess what’s wrong.

“Hyung!” Jimin cries, the silence from the other omega killing him.

Yoongi quietly removes the probe from Jimin's stomach, cleaning the remaining gel with a towel, he then puts his own hand on Jimin’s belly, thumb slowly caressing it. Jimin’s breath gets caught up, tears threatening to fall with newfound strength at the fear that something’s wrong.

“Triplets.” Yoongi says, voice mellow, low, Jimin is not sure he understands it, and he isn’t alone, Jin frowns, head tilting to the side,

“What?”

“You’re having triplets, Jimin.” Yoongi says, voice breaking at the end, his hand stays on Jimin’s lower belly, and Jin gasps too, hand leaving Jimin’s, taking both hands to cover his mouth.

Jimin stays in shock, eyes moving from Yoongi to the hand that he’s resting in his belly. Back and forth. It can’t be. He lays down in the bed, hands shaking by his sides.

It can’t be right?

“Hyung, hyung did you see right? When was the last time you did an ultrasound? Maybe just— let me check—” he’s interrupted quickly. Yoongi stares at him with red eyes, Jimin expects Yoongi to do anything, but his Hyung only offers him a small smile.

“It’s okay Jimin-ah. Hyung won’t let anything happen to you,” Yoongi looks at Jin and their connection buzzes with determination, there’s worry too, but they’ll do anything they can, “it’s okay.” Jin nods too at Yoongi's words.

Jimin’s tears fall, silently, as he keeps bringing his hands up to wipe them off.

“Fuck.” He says, and all three of them laugh, watery smiles synchronizing through the room.

“Yeah, fuck.” Yoongi says, getting up from the side chair and moving up to kiss Jimin’s forehead.

“I guess you’re moving in with us.” He says, Jimin startles, looking between the two of them but Jin only nods, readily agreeing.

“Okay” he says, small but comforted at the thought.

Triplets. He’s really having triplets.

Fuck.

❀✿❁

Jungkook’s dream is full of flowers, his alpha as if they never stopped being pure wolf forms of themselves. Running through long meadows of different flowers. The dream alternates, too fast for Jungkook to remember when he wakes up. But his alpha does, always, and the dream, this night, changes.

Jungkook is standing by a cliff, surrounded by pretty flowers all over. There's a never ending ocean by the end of the cliffs, but to his right there’re rays of sunlight and to his left diamond reflections of the moon.

It doesn’t make sense, but Jungkook feels how at ease his alpha stays. Someone calls his name, but there’s no one there when he turns, Jungkook only feels a breeze, and when he opens his hand there’re three plucked flowers in the middle of it.

Nothing makes sense. But his alpha runs laps, dream jumping to that of his alpha being able to shift again.

It doesn’t make sense but it doesn’t matter.

Because when Jungkook wakes up, all he knows is that he dreamt of flowers this time, but as always, the memory of his dream never stays
