Chapter 1: Fast as the wind

Chapter Text

The Bangtan Boys, they called themselves. Seven inspiring boys who all moved to Seoul to chase their dreams. Jimin had found friends not long after moving cities, which was a complete surprise to him. Jimin had been shy his whole life, never being daring enough to take the first step. He ended up having such a unique friendship with each and every single one of them, and Jimin wouldn’t change that for the world.

It had all started with Kim Taehyung, the boy from Daegu who was never afraid to show the world his boxy smile and unique view on the world.

ㅤㅤㅤ“If I could be any flower, I’d be a sunflower.”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ“Okay?”

That was the first conversation they’d ever had. In spite of the fact that Jimin felt a little weirded out, he ended up striking up a conversation with him afterwards. He learned a lot about the other, his weird quirks, the fact that Taehyung may or may not be a furry , and the fact that once you got to know him, he’d do anything to make you feel comfortable. Before either of them had known  it, they’d ended up being soulmates, never to be seen without each other.

Then he met Min Yoongi, the music major. He still didn’t fully understand how they ended up friends. Both of them were very introverted. Turns out, alcohol helps with that issue.

ㅤㅤㅤ“Do these jeans make my ass look fat?”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ“Yes.”

    ㅤㅤㅤㅤ  “Good.”

And a beautiful friendship had blossomed. Yoongi was the type to tell Jimin straight-up how he felt about his decisions. People wouldn’t think this of Yoongi, but he was amazing at giving advice. He’d kill Jimin for telling this to another soul, but whenever Park Jimin was faced with an issue, Min Yoongi was his guy.

Kim Seokjin was a different story. Jimin found himself annoyed by the other at first. Jin’s loud personality swallowed up his own with ease and if there was one thing Jimin hated, it was dad jokes.

ㅤㅤㅤ“What does a vegetarian zombie say?”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ“Please don’t tell me.”

        ㅤㅤㅤ  “GRRAAAAIINSS”

So it was a big surprise for Jimin, once he ended up enjoying the other’s company- dad jokes aside. Jin was an amazing cook; his passion for cooking showing every single day.

One of the easier friendships that developed, was the one with Kim Namjoon, the philosophy major. He was the one who kept the group out of trouble, at least to the best of his abilities.

ㅤㅤㅤ“Jimin, no!”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ“Jimin, yes!”

And so, Namjoon was assigned to be drunk-Jimin’s guardian, which anyone would agree was no easy task.

Next was Jimin’s fellow dance major, Jung Hoseok. They clicked from the start as they shared the same passion for dancing and once they were assigned to be roommates, their friendship only grew further.

ㅤㅤㅤ“And they were roommates!”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ“Shut up.”

They’d often stay late on campus together. Jimin had never had anyone share the same drive as him. In a way, Hoseok felt like the brother he’d never had.

Jeon Jungkook: he supposed it was fair to call them frenemies. The singer of the bunch. In all honesty, Jimin couldn’t stand how cocky the younger was.

ㅤㅤㅤ“Jimin, do you want to watch a movie?”

ㅤㅤㅤㅤ“With you? I’d rather bite my own dick off.”

        ㅤ   “Can I watch?”

They always fought, to the great annoyance of the rest of the group. He couldn’t help himself though; he wanted to punch that smug smile off his face pretty much 24/7.

“It’ll be fun…” whined Taehyung, who’d been trying to drag his soulmate to a party all day.

“There’s nothing fun about a bunch of drunk people hooking up right in front of my eyes.” Jimin really didn’t want to go, but he knew how persistent his friend could be.

“You could hook up with me?” Jungkook said casually, grinning cockily.

Jimin scoffed loudly, “In your dreams, Jungkook.”

“Well, yeah. That’s already a given. Want to make it real for me?”

Jimin rolled his eyes, not granting the other another response.

“Jiminnie, come with usssss!” His soulmate tried once more.

A loud groan escaped Jimin, “Fine, but only if Yoongi’s coming too.”

If you could actually shoot daggers through your eyes, Jimin knew he would’ve been dead the second Yoongi laid his eyes on him. “Don’t drag me into this, Park.”

Taehyung clapped his hands excitedly, “Great! It’s settled then.”

“No, it’s fucking not.”

Taehyung turned to Yoongi, “If you take this away from me, I’m going to tell everyone about the time you called me crying over the fact that someone stole your ‘mean girls’ dvd!”

“That never fucking happened”

“Good luck trying to convince everyone else of that.”

Yoongi let out an exasperated sigh, “I literally hate all of you. FINE!”

-

Now, Jimin wasn’t one to shy away from alcohol. More so, he had the highest tolerance of the bunch - which greatly upset Yoongi.

“Too fucking easy…” Jimin smacked the shot glass down on the bar, finishing long before Yoongi. “At least give me a challenge, hyung.” Yoongi frustratingly pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Really embarrassing moment for you there, Yoongi.” Hoseok patted Jimin on the shoulder.

“Don’t worry, grandpa. Maybe next time...” Jimin smiled innocently at the defeated man before getting up and moving towards the sea of dancing people.

Namjoon walked after the boy, grabbing his arm and bringing him to a halt, “Even though you don’t feel drunk right now, those shots will hit you in the next twenty minutes.”

Jimin waved dismissively, “Yeah, yeah..” he pulled himself free and went back on his way, smiling brightly once he spotted Taehyung grinding up against a man he’d never seen before.

“Sorry, my turn.” Jimin pulled his friend away from the stranger and pulled the taller boy against himself instead. Both of them swayed along to the music, enjoying each other’s company.

After a couple of minutes, Jimin noticed Jungkook in the corner of the room, beer in hand, eyeing the two, an unreadable expression on his face.

“Your boyfriend is giving you a look.” Jimin told Taehyung, as he cocked his head towards the man in question.

“Boyfriend?” Taehyung laughed, “I think he’s watching you, not me.” Jimin fake gagged at this, imitating a shudder.

Taehyung nudged Jimin, “He’s coming over.”

“It wouldn’t be a party if Jimin didn’t whore himself out.”

“You’re just jealous you can’t have this ass.” Jimin shrugged in response to Jungkook, pushing his ass against Taehyung’s crotch while maintaining eye contact with Jungkook.

Jungkook’s smug expression changed to an unreadable one.

Alcohol always made Park Jimin just a little bit bolder. “Anything else, or can I go back to giving Taehyung a boner?” He heard Taehyung snicker behind him.

“Big talk for some-”

“Don’t care.” Jimin interrupted.

Jungkook’s eyes darkened, his jaw clenched.

“If you’ll excuse me, there’s a shot of vodka with my name on it.” Jimin smiled teasingly, before separating himself from the other, walking off, making sure to bump against Jungkook in the process.

Jimin smiled to himself as he approached the bar to order his drink. He wasted no time finishing it before ordering a second round.

He felt a tap on his shoulder, “If I turn around and it’s Namjoon, I’m running for the hills.”

“Ding ding ding..” Jimin sighed in defeat.

“Hyung, I swear I’m fine.” Jimin turned around to face the man who’d taken the job upon himself to prevent Jimin from getting shit-faced.

“Ha.” Namjoon let out an unamused laugh.

“I’m telling Yoongi-hyung.” Jimin furrowed his brow.

Luckily for Jimin, Yoongi was standing close by. He grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. “Hey-”

“Hyung, he won’t let me drink more. Tell him off.” Jimin smiled proudly, while shooting a glare at Namjoon.

“Actually, I agree with Namjoon.”

“Ha. See? Wait what-?” Jimin looked at Yoongi, eyes marked with betrayal.

“Fine! But maybe focus on Taehyung who’s currently taking a shot off a stranger’s belly.” They both turned around quickly. Only for Jimin to take advantage of this, quickly grabbing the shot behind him and throwing it down his throat.

“Taehyung’s not even there...” Namjoon turned back to Jimin, who had a pleased expression on his face.

“No, you didn’t.” Namjoon said as he put two and two together. “You fucking brat. Next time we’re out drinking I’m putting you on a leash.”

Yoongi couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. “Fair play, Jimin. But if you have another shot I will personally throw you over my shoulder and take you home.

Jimin knew he was serious, “Okay, hyung. No more.” Jimin put up his hands in defeat.

“Sorry, Joonie..” Jimin couldn’t help but smile as he moved past the two; he’d decided to get some fresh air.

“It’s ‘hyung’ to you.”

“Okay, Joonie-hyung.”

“That little…” Jimin heard the other say before he moved out of earshot.

Jimin stepped outside. His lungs breathed in fresh air as he leaned against the wall. He was glad he’d gone out with the guys. He’d been too stressed lately and this was a nice change.

“I don’t like being interrupted.” Jimin got pulled away from his thoughts by none other than Jungkook.

“I don’t like you.” Jimin shrugged.

“Yes, you do.”

“Oh, my bad. I wasn’t clear: I can’t stand you.”

Jungkook chuckled, which was not the response Jimin was hoping for. “It’s cute when you lie.”

“Can’t you go annoy someone else?”

“No, I like annoying you.”

Jimin was about to walk away when he had an idea, “You know what, I’ll hang out with you if you go get me a shot.”

“Why can’t you get it yourself?” Jungkook asked, his smug smile showing once again.

Jimin decided to lie, “Because I’m currently enjoying some fresh air. Either you can get it for me, and we can hang out or I can go in myself and you won’t get to talk to me for the rest of the night.”

“Is that right?”

Jimin nodded, desperately wanting to wipe that smile off his face.

“Huh, sure…” Jimin hid his smile, he always got his way. “I’ll go ask Yoongi if he can join us too then, shall I?.”

“No!” Jimin quickly yelled out.

“Why not?”

“Well, he’s probably busy and I’d really like some alone time with you, Kookie…” Jimin put on his most flirtatious voice.

“Oh, Jimin. Whoring yourself out for a shot? Really?”

Well, shit.

“Fine, don’t get me a drink.” Jimin pouted.

“Wasn’t going to, anyway”

“Fine.”

“Fine.” Jungkook laughed, the boy’s reaction greatly amusing him.

“You know Jimin, good boys do what they’re told.” Jimin couldn’t help but blush. Jimin didn’t have a praise kink or anything. He really didn’t. Really.

“I am the goodest-” Jimin was too drunk to care about what he’d just said, “boy and I do whatever the hell I want.”

Jungkook moved closer to Jimin, placing himself in front of the boy, caging him in. “Are you sure about that?”

Jimin knew a deep blush had appeared on his cheeks. He hated his cheeks for always giving everything away, especially when he was drunk. “I most certainly am.”

“You know what happens to boys who don’t behave?” Jungkook’s voice was slick as he maintained eye contact with the boy in front of him.

“They- they…” In a very rushed decision, Jimin pushed the other backwards, causing the man to stumble, before running inside and stealing a shot off the bar, not really caring about the looks he was getting.

“Jimin!” He heard Jungkook yell, walking in behind him, his expression clearly annoyed.

The others had noticed too and Taehyung, Namjoon and Jin watched the two closely.

Jimin’s eyes landed on Taehyung’s, who mouthed ‘Go little rockstar!’ before they landed on Namjoon, who eyed the drink in his hand before staring him in the eyes, his eyebrow raised.

Well.. that was quite the situation to be in. Jungkook moved closer each second, Namjoon clearly was ready to scold the younger if he drank the shot, and Taehyung… Well, he was just being Taehyung.

 It was now or never.

“You’ll never catch me alive!” Jimin yelled before quickly drinking the shot and turning on his heels to run away…

Only to bash into Yoongi the second he’d started running. Well, shit.

“That’s it.”

Jimin quickly started muttering ‘no’s’ and ‘i’m sorry’s’ but before he even had a chance to try to talk his way out of it, the man grabbed Jimin by the hips and threw him over his shoulder.

“Hyung…” Jimin whined.

“Should’ve thought of that before.” Yoongi replied, coolly. Jimin’s cheeks burned with embarrassment as he saw everyone looking at him. Especially Jungkook, who’d never seemed more pleased in his life.

So, Jimin decided to take the high road… and he stuck his tongue out at the younger.

In reality, Jimin had been extremely drunk, and it was probably for the better that Yoongi took him home. As they arrived at Jimin's dorm, Jimin was now fully slurring his words and profoundly showing his love for Yoongi.

“You’re my fav- favourite, hyung. I love you so much.” Yoongi hummed in response, not in the mood to engage in the other’s drunken antics.

“Take off your shoes, Jimin.”

“You take off your shoes.” Jimin fought him, for no apparent reason other than why the hell not.

Yoongi sighed as he leaned down and took Jimin’s shoes off for him. “I am almighty Jimin, and my servants shall take off my shoes for me!” Jimin spoke in a deep voice.

“You have no idea how much I’m going to make you regret this tomorrow.”

Jimin didn’t care to respond and focused on his zipper, wanting to take his pants off. He didn’t remember it being so difficult when he put them on. Who made these fucking things?

Yoongi got tired of waiting and did it for him, “Thank you, Yoongi-hyung. My favourite hyung!”

“Go to bed, Jimin.” Jimin giggled as he dropped himself onto the bed, getting under the covers.

Yoongi brought him a glass of water, and placed it on the bedside table.

“Drink this before you sleep.”

“Okay, hyung. Thank you for taking care of me.”

“No problem, Jimin.”

“Hey, hyung?”

“Yes, Jimin?”

“Since you’re here anyway, wanna have sex?”

“Goodbye, Jimin.”

Jimin pouted as Yoongi closed the door behind him. Fine. Whatever. Jimin picked up the glass of water and drank it all before laying back down again. God, the room was spinning like crazy.

Why didn’t anyone ever stop Jimin from drinking too much?

He managed to fall asleep not much later.

-

As great as Jimin had felt the night before, there was no trace left of that. His head felt as if it was going to explode. Jimin slowly got out of bed and he went to grab a painkiller, taking it quickly. Hopefully that’ll make things a little better.

He sat back down on his bed and grabbed his phone. It was only 11AM. Jimin squinted as he unlocked his phone and read through the text messages.

[Taehyung. 2:17AM] Wish you wwere here minnieee i miss youuuuu

[Yoongi. 2:56AM] I’m kicking your ass tomorrow.

[Jungkook. 3:36AM] I’m still waiting for your answer.

Okay, now what the hell did Jimin do? He couldn’t for the life of him remember why Yoongi would want to kick his ass. And what fucking answer?

[To Taehyung] Hope you had a great time, I missed you too :(

[To Yoongi] Now, let’s talk about this like adults.

[To Jungkook] Kiss my ass.

Granted he didn’t even know what Jungkook was going on about.

Jimin looked around and saw Hoseok sleeping peacefully in his bed, he decided to put an end to that. He picked up his pillow and threw it at the other.

Hoseok shot up, “What the fuck was that?”

“No idea! Anyway, why does Yoongi-hyung want to kick my ass?”

Hoseok groaned and fell back down in bed, “Because you’re a brat. And I’m pretty sure you called him a servant or something.”

Ah.

“Hoseokie-hyung... Any chance you want to tell Yoongi that-”

“No.”

“Fine, no more cuddles for you.”

“Oh, no. How will I ever live?” Hoseok replied sarcastically.

Jimin’s phone buzzed and he picked it back up.

[Yoongi. 11:17AM] You’re done.

[Jungkook. 11:18AM] Would love to.

He decided not to reply, he’d see them later, anyway. Maybe he could get some more sleep, he was off today and honestly, his head was absolutely killing him.

He fell back to sleep soon after he’d laid back down, despite there being no pillow.

-

Jimin awoke much later than he wanted, and not in a very pleasant way either. “Jimin! We need to meet up with the others in 16 minutes!” Hoseok’s shrill voice of panic woke him right the fuck up.

He jumped out of bed and into the shower. He felt better than before, his headache much less painful than it was when he’d first awoken. “Jimin, we need to go!” Jimin sighed and turned off the shower, then got dressed quickly.

“Fine, I’m ready. Let’s go.” He said to Hoseok once he was ready to head out.

“Please don’t let Yoongi kill me.” He added.

“No promises. I know why I suddenly woke up this morning and so do you.”

Upon arriving at the park, he smiled brightly as he saw Taehyung get up and start running towards the other. Jimin couldn’t help but open his arms widely and hug the other tightly. Sure, it’d only been ten hours since he last saw him, but that was nine hours too many.

Once they’d hugged enough, they both walked over to the others and to Jimin’s relief, Yoongi had not yet arrived.

“Hey, guys.” Jimin greeted everyone and they all seemed to be glad to see him.

“I heard you told Yoongi to take off your shoes ‘like the servant he is.’” Jin laughed, loudly.

“Ah, yes - about that. Whoever keeps Yoongi from causing me any physical harm will get money.”

“You’re on your own, kid.” Namjoon smiled fondly at him, clearly already having forgiven him for his stunts the previous night.

They all got lost in their conversations for a while. Jimin had laid his head on Taehyung’s lap. It was a beautiful day to be at the park.

“Park Jimin.”

Fuck.

Jimin shot up before running over to Jin and pulling him up too, putting him between himself and Yoongi. “Min Yoongi…” he hesitantly replied.

“I am not your shield!” The taller man tried to get away but Jimin had a strong grip on him. Fear will do that to a person.

Taehyung got up too, and stood in front of the rapper before putting his fists up. “You’ll have to go through me, too.” Jimin couldn’t help but laugh at the boy, who had no intention of doing anything.

“Move, Taehyung. Now.” Yoongi’s intimidating gaze worked wonders on Taehyung.

“Sir, yes, sir.” and he moved out of the way. Some fucking soulmate. Although he couldn’t blame him.

“Park Jimin, I’ll go a lot harder on you if you don’t let Jin go.”

Jimin thought about this for a moment. He wasn’t really scared of Yoongi - well maybe a little bit - but he knew Yoongi would never do anything to actually hurt him. Nonetheless, he was a very intimidating man.

“Hurt me and I’ll scream.”

Yoongi scoffed, “I’m not going to hurt you, Jimin.”

Hesitantly, he let go of Jin, who flicked his ear before walking off. “Ow!”

Yoongi took long strides towards the man and Jimin swallowed deeply, “I have a whistle on me!” He threatened as Yoongi was in front of him, “And I’m not afraid to use it!”

The others watched the scene in front of them play out, all of them with big smiles on their faces.

Yoongi cocked his head to the side as he studied Jimin’s face for a bit, before grabbing his ear and pulling him back to the others, not hard enough to actually hurt but Jimin still let out a string of ‘ow’s’.

“Lay down.” He hesitated for a moment, but after seeing the look on Yoongi’s face, he laid down on the grass. Yoongi, to everyone’s surprise, sat down right on top of Jimin.

“So, did everyone have a fun night?” Yoongi asked, as if nothing out of the ordinary was going on.

“Hyung, what the hell?” Jimin furrowed his brow, wincing.

The others couldn’t help themselves and ended up laughing loudly.

“You’re going to sit here and stay silent until I tell you it’s fine to speak. Servants don’t get to talk.” Jimin huffed loudly but decided it was best to comply. He did bring this on himself.

The others continued their conversation as if nothing was happening and Jimin couldn’t help but get that feeling in his stomach that he got sometimes. You know, not that he was into this, or anything.

A blush crept up his cheeks as he laid there while the others ignored him. Well, all but one; Jungkook was staring right at the man. His stupid fucking grin showing, because why wouldn’t it? But Jimin also noticed something else in the man's eyes, although he could not place what it was.

Jimin turned his head, and watched the park, feeling uncomfortable under Jungkook’s unrelenting gaze.

After what seemed like forever, Yoongi finally addressed Jimin again, “Have you learned your lesson, Jimin?”

Oh, for fuck sakes, and the blush returned.

“Yes, I’m sorry for calling you a servant.”

“What else are you sorry for?”

“For drinking that last shot.”

“Mm, I wasn’t sure if you were going to remember. Never gonna catch you alive, huh?” Yoongi snorted, unable to conceal his laugh.

“Yes, yes. I get it. Can I please sit up now?” Yoongi moved and Jimin sat back up, nervously biting his lip. Why did he feel this way?

“You’re forgiven.”

“Thank you, hyung.”

But Jimin wouldn’t be Jimin if he couldn’t have the last word, “But you know, you really are an awfully bad servant.” And with that, Jimin shot to his feet and ran for his fucking life.

“Yah! Brat, I’ll get you.” Yoongi yelled behind him, following suit.

He heard the others burst into laughter, and kept running like his life depended on it - which let’s be real, it did.
