Surprise!

Summary:

Bakugou Katsuki hates birthday parties. He has always hated them since he was young. Taking this into account, his childhood friend Midoriya Izuku steps up to the plate and plans a peaceful trip to the mountains for the two of them. Feeling neglected by their friend, Bakugou's close circle does everything in their power to ensure Katsuki celebrates his birthday with them instead. How? By throwing him a surprise part of course.

A special Birthday Fic for a wonderful Blasty Boy.

Notes:

Happy Birthday Bakugou! I wrote this on twitter to celebrate our favorite angry boy. Thank you do much for reading! Enjoy the chaos. ^_^

Work Text:

Iida Tenya made a grave error when he was going through the class roster and discovered one blasty boy’s birthday was in fact that very week. To make things worse, he asked Katsuki LOUDLY about it. Now, all of Class A knew.

Izuku was nervous about this fact. He knew his childhood friend better than anyone after all. And he knew he kept his birthday a secret for a very good reason. When they were kids, Deku used to be jealous of all the lavish birthday parties that were thrown in Katsuki’s honor.
But he always remembered him being absolutely miserable at every one of them. The only birthday celebration Katsuki didn’t seem to mind was when their families took a joint vacation at eight years old to the mountainside. That was the only time Izuku saw him happy on his birthday. Katsuki started hiding his birthday in Middle School and despite the fact that they weren't really speaking then, he cornered Izuku and swore him to secrecy and he's pretended he's forgotten his birthday ever since.

Kaminari and Mina pestered Izuku for it their first year.

Kirishima bribed him with an expensive All Might mint condition figure that he got him to sign himself their second year. But Izuku remained resolute. He would not leak Kacchan's birthday.

Now, it was their third year and he and Kacchan were friends. Good friends. So, Izuku had a plan! He was going to celebrate Kacchan's birthday by not celebrating it at all. If there were two things he knew Katsuki hated the most, it was surprises and undeserved attention. So, he asked All Might to invite them to a "special training" in the mountains. That way, Katsuki knew exactly what they were going to do and it was somewhere he could enjoy himself and relax and be a little competitive. A subtle birthday treat. Izuku wasn't even planning on bringing up the fact that it was his birthday at all. He was excited about the plans and really hoped Kacchan would have a good time. He was thinking about it while studying in the common area when he overheard their classmates talking amongst each other.

"Okay, operation Boom Boom surprise party is a go." Kaminari said excitedly

Izuku's eyes bugged out of his head. He really hoped they didn't mean what he thought they meant.

"I already got Jiro to make a killer playlist of songs that Bakugo would TOTALLY love." Mina said proudly.

Izuku doubted that. Katsuki's music taste was...surprising.

"I invited Class B already. Everyone's stoked!" Kirishima cheered.

Class B? As in Monoma?! On Kacchan's birthday?!

"I got the BEST Piñata. In the shape of a bomb." Sero bragged.

Izuku couldn't hold his gasp. Not a piñata. For Kacchan's tenth birthday, his mom got him one and one of his cousins had a bat for an arm as his quirk. He used all his strength to hit the thing but because he was blinded, he hit Kacchan instead. He's been traumatized by Piñatas ever since.

"This is gonna be the best surprise party ever!" Mina cheered.

"Only one problem." Eijiro grumbled. "All Might's roping him into some training on that day." He groaned.

"We'll just make All Might reschedule!" Denki flailed his arms. "He'll understand!"

Izuku couldn't sit by any longer. He had to get them to back down or Katsuki would have a miserable birthday. He walked over tepidly and waved at his friends.

"Hey you guys." Izuku smiled nervously.

"Oh! Midoriya! We didn't see you there!" Eijiro greeted happily.

"I couldn't help but overhear what you were planning and...um..Kacchan and I can't really miss that training. It's really important to prepare both of us for the Sports Festival!" Izuku said as an excuse. Hoping the inconvenience would stray them from their plans. The four teens looked at each other with concerned looks on their faces before looking at Izuku.

"Midoriya.." Kaminari spoke up. "Not everything is about being a hero! Come on, it's his birthday and he DESERVES to celebrate."

"We thought you would WANT to." Mina pouted.

"It's not that I don't WANT to, it's that.." Izuku didn't know how to gently tell them their plans were terrible. "Kacchan maybe would rather train?"

"That's exactly WHY we have to do this." Eijiro jumped on the table passionately. "This is our last year to be young and dumb!"

"Yeah!" The rest of Katsuki's friends cheered.

"I know but Kacchan and I were really looking forward to this and I-"

"Oh...I see what this is about." Denki said before pointing a finger at Izuku accusingly. "You just want him to yourself!"

"Huh?" Izuku blinked.
"Don't think we don't see the way you look at him, Midoriya." Sero said distastefully.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Deku grumbled.

"Midoriya, you have more one-on-one time with Bakugo than all of us combined. Let us have this one day." Mina sighed. "Don't be selfish."

"Cut it out you guys." Kirishima defended him. "But seriously, Midoriya. Just let us do this for him."

"I just don't think he would like it very much." Izuku decided to be honest, but that seemed to infuriate them more.

"You don't have to think so, dude." Sero sighed. "If you hate it so much, don't come. Just don't prevent him from having a good time. Cancel the trip."

"I'm not canceling it!" Izuku stood his ground. "All Might was very kind to invite us. So, plan your party all you want but Kacchan's not coming!" He said before storming out, embarrassed by his outburst.

Shoto stared at the simple gold ring Katsuki presented him in awe.

"So? Is it too much? Ya think it'll overwhelm him?" Katsuki asked his friend nervously.

"Midoriya will probably cry if that's what you're asking." Shoto said bluntly.

"I'm just trying to make it perfectly clear I want him as more than a fucking friend and I'm serious. That's all." Katsuki grumbled.

Unbeknownst to Izuku, Katsuki had ALSO asked All Might to plan a "training trip" in the mountains. He just so happened to pick his birthday but that made the whole thing that much better. If Deku actually said yes, it would be the best fucking gift ever.

"Don't worry Bakugo." Shoto smiled reassuringly. "He'll love it."

"I sure hope so." Katsuki sighed. "I just want it to be perfect."

"It will." Shoto handed the ring back. "I'm sure of it."

Uraraka stared at the check in her hand and nearly had a heart attack at all the zeroes.

"I...I just need to do...what now?" She asked dizzily.

"Keep Midoriya from going on that trip." Mina cooed as her and the boys surrounded their poorer classmate. "And it's allll yours."

"All of it?"

"All of it."

It was almost the weekend and Uraraka had T minus three days to claim her prize. But in the meantime, Mina was a woman with a vendetta.

“I just can’t believe him.” She vented to Eijiro. “We’ve spent days planning this party and he shut it down like it was this awful thing!”

“Why didn’t we invite him to help us out in the first place again?” Eijiro questioned.

“Because we don’t like him right now!” She huffed.

“Because of that Rody thing? That was a misunderstanding!” Ei defended Izuku.

“A HEARTBREAKING misunderstanding! If I have to see Kats that sad again, I’m gonna give Midoriya so many headaches because Danger Sense is gonna be on 24/7!” She said angrily.

“That was Bakugo’s fault for looking through his phone in the first place!” Kirishima lamented.

“Hey! I told him to do that!” Mina flicked his head.

“Ow! Baby!” Eijiro rubbed his head.

“Midoriya is totally playing with his feelings!” Mina pouted. “Who’s side are you on?!”

“Everyone’s?” Ei shrugged.

“Well you’re supposed to be on mine! Invite Bakugo to sit with us!” She demanded.

“You know that’s pointless.”

“Ugh. Look at them.” Mina scowled as she glared at Izuku and Katsuki who were off on their own, bickering about something Izuku was eating.

“What? He makes Bakugo happy!” Eijiro defended his friends as Katsuki grinned maniacally while shoving a chili pepper down Izuku’s throat.

“It’s unhealthy how much he relies on him for happiness. They’re no good for each other.” Mina declared as Denki and Hanta took their seats at the table.

“Midoriya and Bakugo? Highly agree.” Kaminari pouted as he munched on his fried Gyoza.

Eijiro looked at the spunky blonde then at his girlfriend. Then at Sero who was nodding in agreement.

“No way. STILL?” Eijiro gawked.

“What?” Kaminari asked, embarrassed.

“You STILL have the hots for him?” Kirishima accused.

“He’s a much better match, Ei and you know it.” Mina confirmed.

“Bakugo shut you down second year! You’re just hurting yourself.” Eijiro sighed. “If this is what this whole thing is about, I want no part of it.”

“No sex for a year of you don’t help us.” Mina threatened.

“I want no part of it, but I will help against my better judgment.” Eijiro corrected himself before looking back at Katsuki apologetically while he rolled his eyes at Todoroki for sitting next to Deku.

“And that’s why I think All Might is secretly in love with Aizawa.” Shoto finished explaining to his two friends.

“I don’t think so!” Izuku protested. “Do you think so?” He asked Katsuki.

“I hate to say it Deku, but Half and Half makes sense for damn once.” Katsuki gulped at the thought.

“No! No way! All Might would have told me, right?!” Izuku began to mumble away about his two teachers' interactions. Katsuki watched him and the way his lips moved. Izuku was so close, Katsuki could smell his chapstick. A vanilla mint one that his mom sends him. He wondered if that’s what it would taste like too.

“Kacchan? Kacchan?” Izuku poked his shoulder.

“Huh?” Katsuki snapped out of it.

“I asked if you think Aizawa-Sensei would know where to take All Might on a date.” Izuku blinked at him with those curious green eyes. It wasn’t fair how cute he was. Katsuki wanted to bite him and swallow his pretty face whole.

“Aizawa-Sensei would probably rather sleep.” Katsuki stated matter of factly.

“Like a sleeping date?” Izuku questioned.

“The fuck’s a sleeping date?” Katsuki snorted.

“A date where you sleep.” Shoto stated the obvious.

“Sounds like they’d do more than fucking sleep.” Katsuki snickered.

“What do you mean?” Izuku and Shoto asked.

“Ya know.” Katsuki whispered into Izuku’s ear the obvious.

“Wha- N-No! All Might would never do that unless he’s married!” Izuku blushed and Katsuki grinned. He loved flustering him.

“Really Deku? Ya think he’s a fifty year old virgin?!”

“U-um I’m sure he was too busy s-saving the w-world to-” Deku was too overwhelmed by the thought.

“Hold on. Let me see what I can find.” Shoto searched through his phone.

“What are you looking up?” Katsuki asked in horror.

“Is All Might a Virgin? There is compelling evidence he isn’t.” Shoto passed the phone to Izuku showing him an interview with All Might who was a spokes person for safe sex. Insisting he always uses protection.

“I-I…H-I WISH I NEVER KNEW THIS!” Izuku blushed and Katsuki laughed out loud.

“What’s so funny?” Kirishima walked over as Izuku burst into tears.

“All Might’s a whore!” He cried.

“Just give him a minute.” Katsuki sighed.

“Actually I came here to uh…steal you away!” Eijiro said awkwardly.

“Can’t you see I’m busy.” Katsuki said as he wiped Izuku’s tears with the same napkin that was holding the chili pepper.

“KACCHAN!” Izuku wailed as his eyes stung.

“Oh fuck. Sorry.” Katsuki laughed harder.

“It’s important Bakugo!” Eijiro insisted.

“CAN IT!” Katsuki shouted at his persistent friend. “It can’t be that fucking important.” He then grabbed a handkerchief that was in Eijiro’s pocket and yanked Shoto’s right hand. “Melt your ice into this.” He demanded.

“Okay.” Shoto complied and Katsuki pressed the wet Handkerchief gently in Izuku’s eyes.

“Better?” He asked softly.

“A little…” Izuku grumbled.

“Look, man if you don’t come, Mina’s gonna kill me. So please.” Eijiro resorted to begging.

“Go ahead Kacchan.” Izuku sniffled before smiling at him. “I’ll be fine.”

“Ya sure?” Katsuki pouted.

“Mmhmm. Thanks.” Deku nodded.

Katsuki followed Eijiro who sighed in relief.

“This better not be something fucking stupid.” Katsuki whispered harshly to Kirishima as they walked away.

“It’s…uh…yeah.” Eijiro sighed. He couldn’t even deny that it was in fact, very stupid. He almost felt mean.

“Hey man! Welcome back to the cool kids table!” Denki greeted as Katsuki looked around in puzzlement.

“What are you looking for?” Sero asked.

“Cool kids. I don’t see any.” He said genuinely.

“Missed you too, Katsuki.” Denki grinned softly.

“Miss me? Ya see me every day in class.” Katsuki rolled his eyes.

“Yeah but all you seem to care about is Midoriya these days. You rarely spend time with us anymore.” Mina pouted.

“No shit. I’m not tryin’ to fuck any of you.” Katsuki said bluntly.

“You’re not very subtle, man.” Eijiro smiled nervously.

“Can’t be.” Katsuki hit the table. “Deku’s as dense as a rock.” He growled.

“If he’s a rock. Then he’s the rock everyone passes around. I mean look at him.” Denki rolled his eyes while he watched Shinso help put eye drops in Izuku’s eyes.

“The fuck did you just say?!” Katsuki hit the table furiously.

“Calm down dude.” Sero sighed.

“No! I won’t be calm while he fucking implies that shit about Deku. You wanna get your face pounded in?!” Katsuki threatened.

“I’m sorry!” Denki apologized. “I just don’t wanna see you get hurt.”

“Let’s change the subject.” Mina laughed nervously.

“No. I’m out of here.” Katsuki scoffed but before he could storm off, Eijiro grabbed his wrist.

“Wait! Kaminari’s really sorry. We just miss hangin out with you man…and we know you’re trying to get with Midoriya but…we all only have one more year together. So please? Just one lunch won’t kill you.”

Katsuki sighed. Maybe he was neglecting his friends. He looked over at Izuku who was animatedly speaking to Shinso and Monoma before glancing his direction and smiling when their eyes met. God he wanted to kiss him so bad. But it WAS just one lunch.

“Fine. But you’re not allowed to speak Dunce Face.” Katsuki demanded.

Ochaco knew it was go time. She couldn’t fail. Her family would love that money. She turned to Iida and patted him on the shoulder.

“You ready?” She asked nervously.

“I don’t know why you need this, but as class President. I will aid all my classmates to the best of my ability!” Iida declared.

“Okay!” Ochaco smirked. “Then it’s time. Put on your best performance Iida-kun.”

“You deserve nothing less!”

Uraraka bust into the cafeteria dramatically while sobbing.

“URARAKA-KUN WAIT!” Iida loudly called as he stopped her right in front of Deku’s table. “It is unbecoming for you to desecrate the cafeteria with your tears! Especially over something so PETTY.”

“PETTY?” She shrieked. “Me being mad at you for backing out as my date to my family’s Coconut Festival with no time for me to find a SUITABLE REPLACEMENT is petty?!”

“You have to understand!” Iida chopped the air. “I, of the Ingenium mantle cannot possibly attend a festival with a family of such LOW STATUS.” He huffed boisterously, playing the part of a cruel rich man all too well.

“I can’t believe you.” Ochaco sobbed. “Who will join me at the festival on April twentieth beginning at two in the afternoon and ending at eight in the evening nooow!” She ran out sobbing as Izuku stood up.

“Uraraka-San!” He ran after her, hoping she was okay.

“What was that about?” Shoto asked his close friend.

“Uraraka-kun needed me to perform a service as her close friend. For what reason? I don’t know. But I’m sure it’s as noble as her!” Iida said proudly.

Izuku caught up to Ochaco in front of the restroom.

“Uraraka-San! Wait! What was that about?!” Deku asked as he patted her hair.

“Iida-kun…promised me…h-he’d come to my family’s coconut festival but backed out cause I’m poor!” She sniffled. If Uraraka knew anything about Deku, he couldn’t resist helping her out. He was also selfless. He would surely give up a training trip to be her date!

“That doesn’t sound like him.” Izuku grumbled. “But either way, that’s not nice! I have an idea!” He beamed excitedly.

“You’ll come with me instead?” Ochaco blushed, pretending she was touched by his offer.

“Nope.” Izuku shook his head. “I can’t this weekend but Todoroki-kun can! If you need a high profile date, the son of the number one hero is sure to get all kinds of attention.”

“Oh…” Ochaco giggled nervously. “I was kinda hoping to go with a friend who’s a little bit closer, you know?”

“I would but I have my trip with All Might and even if I COULD reschedule that, I still wouldn’t be able to go to a Coconut festival. I’m allergic!” Izuku informed her.

“Are you…now?” Ochaco grinned as she wanted to die inside. She made up the Coconut Festival. If there was one thing she learned about people with money, they will believe anything you tell them about being poor. Including elaborate festivals to bring fortune on your family
with the use of exotic fruit. While coming up with this plan she was torn between Coconuts and Pineapples and flipped a coin. What an unlucky pick!

“Yeah. I’m really sorry! But on the bright side, Todoroki-kun happens to be doing a research paper on coconuts! He’d love to go!”

“Wow. I’m getting all kinds of lucky today.” She chuckled in aggravation.

“Don’t worry Uraraka-San! Anybody would be lucky to be your date!” Izuku smiled brightly at her.

“Right…” She needed to go back to the drawing board.

Izuku began to walk back to the lunch room when he spotted Katsuki in the corner of his eye as he walked past the next hallway.

“Ah! Kacchan! Did you…hear that?” Deku giggled nervously.

“Liar.” Katsuki grinned maniacally. “Allergic to coconuts my ass.”

“Um…am I a bad person for not going?” Izuku hoped Katsuki wouldn’t think he was looking forward to the trip . If he got embarrassed enough by that fact he might cancel it.

“Nah. Sounds lame anyway.” Katsuki rolled his eyes.

“Um..what did Kirishima-kun want?” Izuku asked. He hoped none of Katsuki’s friends told him about his little outburst the day before. Of course that would require them to also tell him about the surprise party. So, maybe he was in the clear.

“They just wanted to waste my time. They’re jealous of you, you know.” Katsuki said bluntly. He decided to stop chickening out around Deku. He’s not gonna get it unless Katsuki lays it on extra thick.

“Why would they be jealous of me?” Izuku questioned.

“Cause.” Katsuki walked closer till he was looming over him, showing off his growth spurt. “I’d rather spend my time with you than any of those fuckers.” He said slowly so Izuku could process every word.

“Oh…well…I don’t see why. I-I mean I’m sure they’re a lot more fun than me and um.” The smaller boy mumbled, embarrassed.

“And, I have way more fun messin around with you than being around those idiots.” Katsuki said as he ruffled his hair before walking off. “Let’s go nerd.”

“R-right!” Izuku blushed.

Uraraka hoped this next attempt would work. She knew it was desperate. But she had to!
It was Friday evening. The night before the trip and Katsuki’s birthday. Izuku hummed to himself while packing a few things when he got a knock on his door.

“Hello?” He called.

“Hey, it’s me.” An all too familiar voice said.

“RODY?!” Izuku was absolutely shocked. He flung the door open to see his friend who lived in Oseon and was highly confused on what he was doing in Japan.

“Hey.” Rody grinned cheekily.

“What are you doing here?!” Izuku blinked rapidly. “Not that I’m not happy to see you, but…” Izuku didn’t know how to say tickets to Japan were expensive and Rody did not come from wealth in the slightest. The last time he visited was because of a prize he won in a contest. Izuku looked at his friend a little closer and titled his head.

“Where’s Pino?” He asked.

“I found a way to keep her away.” Rody laughed before throwing his arms around him. “Missed you Deku.” He said softly.

“Yeah. Missed you too.” Izuku said slowly. There was something off about him. Maybe it was the lack of Pino that made this whole thing so weird.

“I’m just here for a couple of days.” Rody announced happily. “So show me a good time tomorrow?”

Izuku’s smile fell and he sighed. “I’m sorry. I can’t. I have that trip planned with Kacchan.”

“Come on. You see that grumpy guy every day, I’m sure he won’t mind.” Rody waved his hand.

“But it was your idea to do it?” Izuku blinked. He texted Rody every day and planning something for just the two of them was an idea Rody came up with.

“I guess I didn’t know it was in April.” Rody laughed nervously.

“Oh..well…maybe Kirishima-kun can hang out with you! You and your siblings had fun last time.” Izuku said to placate him. He didn’t know why, but he was suddenly very creeped out.

“Come on, ya really don’t wanna spend ONE day with little ol’ me. You can always reschedule that trip another time.” Rody insisted.

“Sorry. No can do.” Izuku shrugged.

“Alright. Well, I’ll be at a nearby hotel if you change your mind.” Rody handed him an address and walked out.

After a few baffling minutes of Izuku contemplating what to do, he got a text from Rody.

Rody ✈️🐥
Look what Lala just did. For his birthday.

It was a drawing of Katsuki as a cat that Rody and his siblings posed in front of in their trailer kitchen.

“Huh?” Izuku’s eyes widened. If Rody was still in Oseon with his siblings. Then who the hell was in his room?!

“I failed you Ochaco-Chan.” Toga sighed as she dangled her feet in her secret friend’s dorm. “Izuku-kun’s going on that trip no matter what.”

“No way!” Ochaco groaned. “I was SURE that would work!”

“Nope! He insisted and I was gonna turn back to me any second so I couldn’t really convince him. I only had a little bit of blood left from last time.” Toga giggled.

“Alright well, now what do I do?! They leave in the morning!”

“Sometimes, to get what you want, you need to play a little dirty.” Toga grinned before tossing a needle to her.

“What’s this?” Ochaco giggled nervously.

“This will put anyone out like a light. Even Tomura-kun and Izuku-kun.” Toga giggled proudly.

“Where did you get this?!” Ochaco gawked at the obviously stolen medication.

“Don’t worry about it. Bye Ochaco-Chan!” Toga waved as she leapt out of her balcony.

Uraraka stared at the “gift” she was given. For her family. She breathed. She had to do this for her family.

Katsuki packed the last of his things in his bag. He grabbed the ring box and stared at it nervously. He planned everything to the letter but what he neglected to plan for was…what if Deku said no? He knew Izuku adored him but…what if he also still resented him?

While their time as children seemed like decades ago, Katsuki wondered if what he did and said back then would impact Izuku’s desire to DATE him. God…was he kidding himself?! Would Izuku only ever just love him as a friend and nothing more? Katsuki had to shake the thoughts off.

Nerves. That’s all this was. Pre game jitters. No matter what, Deku deserved to know how he felt about him. Even if he did reject him and tell him to go to hell. Which he wouldn’t. He’d be kind about it even if that somehow made it worse. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock.

Katsuki looked at his door and wondered for a moment if it was Izuku. But the nerd always knocked something whimsical and sing songy. Nothing so firm.

“Who is it?” Katsuki asked.

“Can I come in?” Kaminari questioned.

“No.” Katsuki said bluntly. He was still pissed at him.

“Please? If you don’t, I’ll cry and draw everyone’s attention and then Kirishima will lecture you instead of letting you go to beeed.” Denki threatened.

“Fuck. What do you want?!” Katsuki seethed as he opened the door while Kaminari skipped in gleefully.
“I just wanted to shoot the shit with you before your big day tomorrow.” Denki said happily as he plopped on Katsuki’s bed.

“Don’t bring that shit up. It’s not a fucking big deal.” Katsuki visibly deflated at the idea of his birthday.

“Well I think it is! So I got ya something.”

“Well return it.” Katsuki demanded. “There’s only one thing I want. And I’m doin everything I can to get it tomorrow.”

“You’re not gonna ask him out, are you?” Denki pouted.

“What is your deal with Deku, huh?! Aren’t you friends?! Why do ya suddenly treat him like dirt?!”

“I just think it’s…” Denki sighed, thinking over his words carefully. “It’s hard to watch you chase after the guy. It’s also hard to watch Shinso chase after him. And that Rody guy. And Uraraka. And Todoroki. And-”

“Cut that out!” Katsuki snapped. “He’s just overly friendly sometimes but that’s not his damn fault that they can’t see it’s all it is.” He defended him.

“And you don’t think he’s being overly friendly with you? He probably won’t even find it in his heart to reject you properly! He’ll say something like ‘Amazing Kacchan. Maybe later when we’re not so focused on being heroes.’ And then you’ll spend YEARS wondering when that ‘later’ is coming.” Denki lamented.

“I don’t need this shit right now! Get out!” Katsuki demanded.

“Hey. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. It’s just I think if you’re ready for something serious. It should be with someone who will put it all on the line for you. And I-”

He was interrupted by a sing songy knock on the door.

“Deku?” Katsuki rushed and flung the door open.

“Sorry. You weren’t asleep, were you?” Izuku asked.

“No. Someone annoying was keeping me up.” Katsuki glanced at Denki.

“Hey Midoriya.” Denki waved. “I was just trying to convince Katsuki not to do something dumb.”

“Will you can it?!” Katsuki blushed, beside himself.

“Is another time better?” Deku questioned, sensing the tension.

“No. He was JUST LEAVING.” Katsuki growled.

Denki sighed and began to walk out of the room.

“I just wanted to make sure I didn’t forget anything for tomorrow. I’m really looking forward to it!” Izuku began to babble and Denki couldn’t take it anymore.

“DO YOU LIKE HIM?!”

“Huh?” Izuku blinked as Denki grabbed both his hands and Katsuki stood there wanting to self-destruct.

“Do you like Katsuki as more than a friend?! Or are you playing with him?!” He questioned.

“K-Kaminari-kun…w-what’s this about?!” Izuku turned five shades of red.

“Just answer the question Midoriya!” Denki demanded as Izuku looked nervously between him and Katsuki.

“I…um…I just c-came here to talk to him about our trip tomorrow. So…um..if it really is a b-bad time I’ll…um. I’ll see you tomorrow Kacchan!” Deku deflected before running.

“See? He-” Denki began to gloat before seeing Katsuki’s demeanor shift. His hands were shaking and his back was slumped. His face was covered by his hair while he looked down at his own socks.

“Just go.” Katsuki said hoarsely before turning around and closing the door.

It was the morning of the trip and Izuku was beaming with excitement. Kacchan didn’t back out despite the awkwardness of the night before and he hoped he could just forget the question was even asked. But still, it made him nervous that Katsuki suspected his feelings for him. They were feelings Izuku tried to keep at bay. He didn’t want Katsuki pushing him out ever again. He got a text from Uraraka to meet him before he left for the trip and he was relieved. He needed her advice! She would know what to do and she always had a way of calming him down.

Ochaco sat nervously in her dorm. She knew Danger Sense would likely activate and Izuku would easily take her down if she attempted to drug him with the needle. So instead, she had a plan. She had two cinnamon rolls. And she injected one of them with the anesthetic.
Ochaco had, floating in the air, a light bulb and if Izuku questioned why Danger Sense was going off when he brought the cinnamon roll to his lips, she would drop the object right above him. And he will think that’s why and eat the cinnamon roll! She put pink frosting on hers and green on Izuku’s. That way, she could tell the difference. Deku knocked on the door and she leapt up. It was go time.

“Hey! Deku-kun!” Ochaco greeted as she welcomed him into her room.

“Good morning Uraraka-San.” Izuku smiled at her.

“You hungry? I had some leftover treats before your big trip today.” She hummed.

“Oh. Thanks!” Izuku nodded happily. “It looks delicious. I hope you have fun at your Coconut festival!”

“My what? Oh! Right! That!” She giggled nervously before noticing Izuku looked distracted.

“Something on your mind?” She questioned.

“Yeah…Kaminari-kun said something last night and I just really hope Kacchan’s not bothered by it.” Deku sighed.

“What did he say?” Ochaco asked.

“He asked me in front of Kacchan if I had feelings for him!” Izuku lamented.

“He did?!” Ochaco gasped.

“I really wished he didn’t because…I don’t want this trip to be awkward! I really want Kacchan to just be able to relax. It is his birthday after all and….I don’t know. He’s always hated them. And I just want him to have a good one for once.”

“Wow…” Guilt began to gnaw at Ochaco. “That’s so thoughtful of you as always…but..you really should tell Bakugo-kun how you feel one of these days.” She smiled. “You know Kaminari-kun likes him right?”

“He does?!” Izuku gasped.

“You really didn’t know?”

“No…I…” Izuku pouted.

“If you like him, you should tell him!” Ochaco encouraged. “I know you’re scared he won’t feel the same way but can you really stand someone else sweeping him off his feet?”

“I don’t know.” Izuku whined. “It’s better than him shutting me out!”

“He won’t. Bakugo’s grown up a lot since First Year. You have to have faith in him too.” Ochaco suddenly realized she shouldn’t interfere. She will make it up to her family when she’s a pro.

“Yeah… you’re right. Thanks.” He smiled softly. “And thanks for this too!” Izuku happily took a large chomp of the cinnamon roll ignoring his quirk.

“WAIT!” Ochaco gasped but it was too late.

“What’s wrong?” Izuku asked after he swallowed the treat.

“Um…p-put that down Deku-kun.” She said dizzily.

“Why? It was really good! The green one was for me r..r..ri..ri..” Suddenly the room began to spin before he collapsed on the ground.

“DEKU-KUN!” She ran toward him and panicked as he hit his head on the ground when he fell. “Wh…what have I done?” She whispered. She suddenly realized she could get in major trouble.

“Okay…okay…” Uraraka took deep breaths. All Might and Bakugo were waiting for him. This was bad.

“Morning Ochaco-Chan! I have your check! Did you do it?” Mina asked as she knocked on the door.

“Um…um…help!” She cried.

Mina burst in and saw Deku drooling on the floor.

“Holy shit. What did you do?!” Mina gasped.

“I..I asked for help and Toga gave me drugs and I gave him some and now he’s this and- ” Ochaco babbled through her tears.

“Okay okay…it’s gonna be fine! We can use this to our advantage!” Mina declared.

“You’re kidding me!”

“Mmmm…” Izuku moaned, stirring.

“See? He’s fine! This is our chance!” Mina nodded furiously. “I have some leftover ribbon and streamers. So we just need to keep him tied up until the party’s over! Then we’ll take him to Recovery Girl and say he had a bad appetizer!”

“Do we really need to tie him up?!” Ochaco gawked.

“Well yeah, in case he wakes up and ruins the whole thing!” Mina groaned.

“I don’t like this, Mina! I think we’re taking it too far!” Ochaco began to cry more. “I have to tell Aizawa!”

“Uraraka! This check is in your name. You’re already in this. He’ll be fine! And if you calm down and help me tie up, I’ll talk with everyone and we’ll double it.” Mina ordered.

“D-double it?” Ochaco gasped.

“Or you can get suspended for drugging him when you tell. We never told you to do that!” Mina pouted. “This is on you!”

“Yea…okay.” Ochaco sniffled.

The two girls tied Izuku up to a chair in the broom closet on the second floor using thick red birthday wrapping ribbon.

“Mmmm…” Deku groaned.

“Look, the bow looks cute on him.” Mina giggled as she tied the ribbon to his head.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry.” Ochaco sniffled while apologizing to her dear friend over and over.

“Now. Let’s cancel this trip.” Mina hummed while holding up Izuku’s phone.

Katsuki waited patiently in front of the gym with All Might while they waited for Izuku to show up.

"He’s late…” Katsuki tapped his foot anxiously.

“I’m sure he’s just double checking he has everything.” All Might tried to reassure the nervous boy. “You know how he gets.”

“Yah…well he’s taking too damn long.” Katsuki chuffed. The whole interaction with Kaminari the night before made his stomach twist. What if Deku was so weirded out by the whole thing, he blows him off? He did have the tendency to overthink. God damn Dunce Face ruining everything.

All Might and Katsuki were suddenly texted at once. Katsuki felt the whole world slow down as he checked his phone nervously.

Nerd 🐇
Hey guys, I’m so sorry. Danger Sense was going crazy today. Turns out, there’s villains rampaging in the next town over.

Maybe next time.

“I’m sorry, Young Bakugo. I told him he should leave this stuff to the pros!” All Might lamented.

“No…he’s bullshitting us.” Katsuki sighed. “Guess Kaminari really did freak him out. Whatever.” He grabbed his things. “Thanks for trying anyway All Might…”

“Wait. Let me at least talk to the boy!” Toshinori insisted.

“It’s whatever.” Katsuki pouted. “Just another shitty day.”

“Young Midoriya really wanted to do this.” All Might tried to reassure him. “In fact, just like you approached me, he did the same in order to make this day special.”

Katsuki glared at his teacher who meant well. If that was true then Katsuki’s suspicion was correct. Deku was trying to celebrate his birthday without actually celebrating it. He always did thoughtful shit like that. But now Denki was getting in his head.

“And you don’t think he’s being overly friendly with you?!”

Katsuki sighed. “Thanks for trying All Might…but guess it wasn’t that important to him.”

Toshinori hung his head low as Katsuki walked off. He had to talk some sense into Izuku! Luckily, he put a tracker on his phone. All Might got into his trusty car and pinged Izuku’s location. That was odd. It still said he was in Heights Alliance. Though, Deku did have the tendency to leave his phone behind before taking off somewhere. It still made him uneasy. This was too important of a day to give up!

Katsuki laid in his room while playing sad country music. He looked at the ring box he dejectedly sat on his night stand and sighed.

“Maybe…he doesn’t fucking want you.” He pouted. Katsuki didn’t know why he worked himself up so much over this damn day. It was dumb. At least the annoying idiot brigade wasn’t bothering him. Especially Kaminari. If he saw him, he would probably kill him anyway. It was the late afternoon when he got a knock on his door.

“What.” Katsuki growled as he tried to take a nap to the sound of Teardrops on my Guitar.

“Hey man. Um. I need your help in the kitchen.” Kirishima said. “I think I might have burned something?!”

“What the hell are you doing here if you burned something?!” Katsuki ripped his headphones out and flung the door open. Taylor can wait.

“This way! Hurry!”

Katsuki followed him to the elevator and when they got to the living room, he froze. All the lights were off. It made Katsuki feel VERY uneasy. Don’t tell him they…

“SURPRISE!!!!” The whole class erupted in cheers when the lights flipped on.

No fucking way.

Izuku woke up in a haze. Where was he? It was dark and his head was pounding. He felt restraints on his arms, his hands and there was something in his mouth. Did he get kidnapped? Izuku tried to move but he realized his whole body was numb.

“Mmmm!” He tried screaming for help. Nothing. What time was it? Was he late for his trip with Kacchan?

“SURPRISE!”

Izuku heard his classmates' voices from a distance. No. It couldn’t be.

“Mmm. Mmm! Mmmm!” Izuku tried to use his quirk but it was useless. Whatever was in his system made it impossible to move. That meant the worst case scenario. Kacchan was subjected to a surprise party.

“What the hell is THIS?!” Katsuki seethed at all the orange and black balloons, streamers, hot sauce party favors and his classmates wearing T-shirts designed like his hero costume.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAKUGO!” Mina cheered as everyone popped their poppers around the living area. Katsuki looked toward the elevator and was about to rush back when Eijiro grabbed him.

“Come on man! We worked really hard on this! Celebrate with us!” He pulled him back.

“NO ONE ASKED YOU TO DO THAT.” Katsuki snapped furiously.

“He’s moved.” Iida began to cry.

“No. I’m fucking not!” Katsuki hated birthday parties with a passion ever since he was little. His mother used to make a big deal out of them, inviting everyone in the neighborhood. She would also invite their family who Katsuki despised. They were all idiots who doted on him just as much as her. Sure, the parties were always fun. And he and his friends always had a good time. And the presents he got weren’t always lame.

But Katsuki had a vendetta.

It started at his fifth birthday party. His mom wanted him to wear a stupid bow tie.

“I don’t wanna wear no dumb tie!” He shouted at her.

“Come on Katsuki, you’ll look so cute in all the pictures!” Mitsuki swooned.

“I don’t freakin’ care. Who’s the party for anyway? Me? Or you?”

“You know it’s for you, brat.” Mitsuki patted his head. “Besides, I know no matter how much of a fuss you make about them, you always LOVE THEM!” She swooned and from then on Katsuki had to prove her wrong.

No way. He will never love a birthday party again.

“You will celebrate with us because…” Sato did a drum roll on his chest. “We invited your parents!”

“NO FUCKING WAY!” Katsuki was mortified as his mom and Dad walked in behind him.

“Happy Birthday brat!” Mitsuki popped a party popper.

“This is gonna be the best party ever!” Mina cheered. The whole class erupted in applause as Jiro began to play what sounded like heavy metal music. It was tasteful but nothing Katsuki was crazy about. It’s what people would THINK he liked. Everyone began to talk and eat snacks.

“Come on Bakugo.” Monoma walked up to him. “Even today of all days, you have to chill out.” He dolloped frosting from his cupcake on his nose.

“That’s enough! Let him be!” Kendo whacked Monoma with her hand. She was holding something with her other arm. And Katsuki stared at it in horror.

“The fuck…is that?”

“Oh, this?” Kendo smiled brightly before holding out a Piñata in the shape of one of Katsuki’s grenades. “Me and Momo made it ourselves! I’m not gonna lose to you just cause it’s your birthday!” She grinned and Katsuki wanted to faint. He hated this. He hated every bit of this.

“I’m…gonna…go over there.” Katsuki shriveled away from the piñata. His cousin wasn’t here. There were no people with bats for arms here. But even worse. There were people with even more horrifying quirks. This was a recipe for disaster. He walked to a corner to grab a soda.

“Do you want it cold or room temperature?” Shoto asked at the table of sodas.

“What the fuck Half and Half?!” Katsuki seethed. “You know what I was planning on fucking doing. How could you let this happen? How could Deku let this happen? Where is the damn nerd?!”

“I got a text from Midoriya saying to come to the surprise party instead.” Shoto said as he showed Katsuki his phone.

“So the nerd knew about this and didn’t do a damn thing to stop it?!” Katsuki gawked.

“I tried to convince him to still go on your trip but he just texted me back a shrug emoji.” Shoto blinked.

“Gimmie that!” Katsuki snapped Todoroki’s phone away. And read the texts.

Midoriya
Todoroki-kun. I’m not going on the trip with Kacchan today. You should make sure he has a good time with his REAL friends.

🍦🔥
I’m his real friend

Midoriya
Make sure he spends lots of time with Kaminari-kun.

🍦🔥
I think you should go on the trip. He’ll like it more. Why won’t you go?

Midoriya
🤷🏻♀️

Katsuki stared at the messages suspiciously. “This doesn’t sound like Deku.”

Katsuki and Shoto looked amongst each other in concern before Kaminari walked up to them.

“Hey guys, soda for me please.” Denki smiled. “Havin a good time Bakugo? I’m really sorry about last night by the way. And sorry Midoriya bailed on your trip.”

“Was this stupid party your idea?!” Katsuki questioned.

“Hey now..don’t call it stupid. I spent a lot of time on it. Along with all your friends.” Denki pouted.

“How much time on it?” Katsuki squinted his eyes. “Couldn’t have been that fucking much if you JUST found out I was not goin’ on the damn trip.” He loomed over Denki with his arms crossed.

“W-well. I mean. We put this together as a backup plan. We always assumed Midoriya would bail on you because…you know how he gets! Hero work first. Everyone else second.” Kaminari laughed nervously.

“Did you do something to De-” He was about to ask when he was interrupted by Mina’s loud voice.

“ALL MIGHT’S HERE!” She cheered.

“Hey! Amazing!” Kirishima pumped his fist.

Toshinori looked shocked as he observed the party going on that he interrupted. “Oh! Um. My bad!”

Katsuki made a bee line for his teacher hoping he got any update on Izuku’s whereabouts.

“Hey! All Might.” Katsuki called over.

“Um…Happy Birthday Young Bakugo..” All Might said nervously.

“Can it!” Katsuki said in frustration. “You hear from Deku again?”

“No. But I was tracking his phone and it appears Young Midoriya either left it behind or it was as you said and he lied. I see now, it was due to this party? How nice!” All Might sighed in relief.

“No! Deku’s not here.” Katsuki crossed his arms.

“Maybe we should check his room.” Shoto said.

Shoto, All Might and Katsuki began to walk to the elevator when Mina jumped in the way.

“Hey you three! We’re about to hit the piñata! Everyone would LOVE if you had a shot at it All Might!” She suggested.

“No one’s hitting the damn thing!” Katsuki shouted, flustered.

“Come on Katsuki, at least try and enjoy the party.” Mina pouted. “We’d thought you’d like something like this.”

“Well you thought wrong!”

“Did I hear Piñata time?” Kirishima walked up excitedly. “I’ll go get the stick! I left it in the broom closet on the second floor!”

“NO!” Mina shouted before giggling nervously about her outburst. “We’ll just have YaoMomo make one.”

“Come on. I spent a lot of time decorating it to match this guy right here.” Eijiro threw his arm around Katsuki.

“Ei! No! It’s fine!” Mina tried to communicate her stress.

“PIÑATA TIME!” TetsuTetsu shouted as everyone cheered.

“We filled it with only the best hot sauces!” Momo excitedly said to Katsuki.

“Like…hot sauce bottles?! That would crash and break on the floor?” Katsuki questioned, beside himself.

“Time to get the bat!” Eijiro fled. Mina’s panic indicated to Katsuki that he should follow him.

“Wait a minute Shitty hair! I’m coming with you!” Katsuki rushed into the elevator which closed before Mina could stop it.

“Shoot!” She cried.

“I’ll wait for the next one.” Shoto pushed the up button.

“I’ll join you Young Todoroki.” All Might volunteered.

“A-ACTUALLY!” Mina stuttered before grabbing a nearby banner with Bakugo’s face on it. “YOU'RE FIRST ALL MIGHT!” She tied the banner around his face and spun him around three times.

“Oh…oh my!” All Might said dizzily.

Katsuki and Eijiro waited patiently for the elevator to move up.

“You alright man?” Eijiro asked him.

“No! I’m not fucking alright! I never asked for this damn party. I was supposed to be ass deep in the mountains right now spilling my guts out to Deku!”

“You were gonna ask him out?” Kirishima questioned.

“Yeah. I had a stupid ring and everything.” Katsuki grumbled.

“YOU WERE GONNA PROPOSE TO HIM?!” Eijiro gawked.

“No dumbass. I was gonna ask him to be my stupid boyfriend and shit. But…fucking Dunce Face ruined everything.”

They got off the elevator and relaxed for a moment.

“How did Kaminari ruin everything?” Eijiro asked loudly.

“Would ya quiet down?!” Katsuki seethed.

“Come on man, no one’s up here but us.” Ei chuckled. “I didn’t realize you were so shy about Midoriya.”

“I’m not shy! I just…” Katsuki groaned. “I can’t fucking think clearly around him anymore. He’s so damn great. Better than I will ever fucking deserve but I want him anyway. I want him embarrassingly badly that I’m making an idiot of myself around everyone and I know it!”

“That’s sweet.” Eijiro suddenly was filled with guilt. Damn the sex. He needed to tell Katsuki what happened.

“I wouldn’t have even minded this damn party if he just fucking showed up!” Katsuki groaned. “But fucking Kaminari just HAD to embarrass him last night by asking him if he felt the same way!” Katsuki pulled at his hair in frustration.

“Oh shit. What did he say??” Eijiro questioned.

“He just changed the fucking subject like the shy little nerd he is. Logically I know that’s so fucking Deku-like but it fucking hurt!” Katsuki admitted. “And then he cancelled the fucking trip. Told Half and Half to come to the party and didn’t even bother to show up. I just…if that isn’t clear enough how he feels then I don’t know what is.” Katsuki sighed.

“Bakugo! I can’t take this! As a man, I have to tell you!” Eijiro insisted.

“Tell me what?” Katsuki questioned.

“I don’t know how she did it…but Mina, Sero, Kaminari and I paid Uraraka a lot of money to get Midoriya to cancel your trip.” Eijiro confessed.

Katsuki stared at him, bewildered. “What?”

“I…I shouldn’t have been a part of this at all.” Eijiro hung his head low. “I love Mina a lot. And it was important to her we had this party for you. When Midoriya heard us planning it, he kinda flipped out and told us not to do it. And she got really offended since she was so excited about the whole thing.”

“Deku knew it was a shitty idea cause I hate parties.” Katsuki scoffed. “Why didn’t you guys have brain cells and listen to him?!”

“Because…Kaminari still has a thing for you!” Eijiro confessed. “He got really jealous of Midoriya having a trip with you and planned this instead.”

Katsuki took in his words. And began igniting an explosion in his hand.

“Eijiro.” He growled his real name indicating that Kirishima was in fact in DEEP SHIT. “I’m gonna need you to get real fucking hard right now.”

Kirishima activated unbreakable and took several explosions.

“I’m sorry! I will accept my punishment! I did a terrible thing!” Kirishima cried as he took blast after blast.

“Good! Now let’s get this fucking bat!” Katsuki demanded after getting it out of his system.

“You’re actually gonna hit the piñata?” Ei asked.

“Yeah. A FLOATY one.”

“Try not to be too hard on her! You know how much her family needs the money..” Eijiro pleaded. “And Uraraka didn’t know about Denki’s plan.”

“I don’t care. She needs to tell me where fucking Deku is and then I’m gonna find him and hang HIM like a damn piñata for falling for whatever damn scheme she came up with. Then I’m gonna ask him out for real and kiss his stupid face!” Katsuki roared before flinging the closet door open and freezing at the sight.

Izuku was struggling, tied to a chair which had fallen on the ground with red ribbon.

“Mmmmchmm! Mmmm!” Izuku cried as he writhed in the chair. Unable to get out as the drugs were still in his system.

“DEKU?!”
“MIDORIYA?!”

Katsuki and Eijiro gawked at the same time.

“What the hell happened?!” Eijiro rushed and pulled the stuffed animal out of his mouth.
“I…I’m sorry Kacchan…” Izuku gasped for air. “Uraraka-San…..gave me a cinnamon roll…and…I can’t really feel my lower body so…”

Katsuki stared at the boy for a long moment. “Deku….” He asked steadily. “How much of Shitty Hair and I’s conversation did you just hear?”

“Um…” Izuku turned beet red. “Um…a-all of it?!” He couldn’t lie to Katsuki even if it would spare his pride.

“I see…” Katsuki turned around and walked out of the closet before slamming it shut.

“Dude!” Eijiro chased after him.

“Help…” Izuku whined, alone. “I have to pee…”

“Come on, man! Go get him!” Eijiro encouraged as Katsuki bee lined toward the elevator.

“What are you doing? Untie the damn nerd and keep him busy while I bury myself below Heights Alliance and haunt you fuckers for the rest eternity.” Katsuki whispered harshly.

“It’s not that bad!!!” Eijiro shouted. The elevator dinged and Shoto emerged.

“Hey. Did you get the bat?” He questioned.

“Help me encourage him Todoroki!” Eijiro shook Katsuki. “Midoriya’s tied up in the closet.”

“He is?!” Shoto gasped.

“Yeah but we didn’t know that and he heard Katsuki spill his guts out to me about how he feels about him and now he’s embarrassed.” Eijiro explained.

“You were going to tell him how you feel anyway, Bakugo.” Shoto nodded. “Besides. I have this.” He grabbed the ring box from his pocket and put it in his hand.

“When did you get this?” Katsuki questioned.

“Just now. I had a feeling Midoriya would show up at some point. And, I just wanted to encourage you to not give up. You two are meant for each other. You should tell him how you feel!” Shoto demanded.

Katsuki stared at the box then sighed. “Fine. But can you two…go back downstairs? I need to do this alone.” Hei grumbled.

“We’ll get everyone ready to greet the happy couple when you return.” Eijiro grinned.

Katsuki didn’t even argue against that. He had one focus right now and one focus only. He felt his heart race as he walked back toward the closet. He opened the door to see Deku in tears.

“Hey. Nerd.” Katsuki sat beside him and fiddled with the bow in his hair.

“Kacchan…” Izuku mumbled. “I’m really sorry…”

“What are you apologizing for?” Katsuki sighed.

“I..I asked All Might to plan this whole trip and..and I really wanted to go. And then I made you feel like I didn’t want to go. I should have been honest when Kaminari asked me that question last night. But…but I panicked!” Izuku explained “I tried to ask Uraraka for advice and I was so distracted by her kindness, I bit into the cinnamon roll and ignored Danger Sense. I didn’t think she would do this to me! And now you have to endure this surprise party and it’s all my fault!”

“It’s not your fault”

“But I-” Izuku began to protest.

“No. Shut up. It’s not your fucking fault. It’s those idiots for wanting to get you out of the way. But if that was their idea of making me come to this stupid thing then it was a smart one. Because…because they all know how I feel about you!” Katsuki confessed. “I…I know you heard what I said to Shitty Hair but I need to be clear Deku. I don’t want you to mistake one word. I fucking love you okay. I wanna hold your hand every day and go on dates with you and…and call you my boyfriend and I know I don’t normally celebrate my birthday but damnit.” Katsuki grabbed the ring out of the box and wiggled Izuku’s hand out of the ribbon. “Will you be my gift Deku?”

Izuku looked at him in shock as tears began to fill his eyes. “Am I…am I dreaming?” He sniffled. “You really…Kacchan really…wants me?” Deku cried.

“More than anything.” Katsuki said as he gently caressed his hand. “So? Whaddya say?” He waved the ring in front of Izuku’s face, letting him look at it clearly.

“Yes. Yes of course!” Izuku cried. “I love you too! I love you so much! And..and ’m so sorry I wasn’t clear about it! I just..I was so happy being by your side again. I didn’t want to risk losing you ever again.” He confessed before Katsuki kissed him. It was awkward at first. Both were new at this and had no idea what they were doing. But eventually, Izuku kissed him back. He wished he could hold him but he was still tied up. Katsuki smiled at him, a genuine beautiful smile with tears at the corner of his eyes.

“You’ll never have to worry about that again, Izuku. I’ll be by your side no matter where you go.”

“Kacchan…” Izuku smiled sweetly at him as happiness filled his insides and he was floating up to the ceiling with the chair still attached to him.

“Get down from there, dork.” Katsuki smirked.

“But Kacchan loves me.” Izuku said dizzily.

“Yah?” Katsuki yanked the chair down and kissed him. Izuku was upside down and blushing furiously as he tasted Katsuki’s caramel chapstick. Katsuki reached for his hand and slipped the ring on it.

“You can untie me now.” Izuku giggled.

“Nope.” Katsuki smirked maniacally.

“Why?!” Izuku whined before Katsuki kissed him again.

“Because. These fuckers need to get what’s comin’ to them.”

“Huh?” Izuku blinked.

Kirishima and Todoroki got everyone’s attention and were about to announce what Katsuki was doing when they got a text from him to shut up and not tell a soul what they saw.
Kaminari was currently unconscious due to All Might accidentally whacking him with a pole that Momo had made when they got too impatient to wait for Kirishima.

“What’s going on?” Mina asked nervously.

“Um…I’m not exactly sure anymore.” Eijiro sighed. Him and Shoto then got another text from Katsuki that read:

“Whatever happens. Just go with it.”

The elevator dinged and everyone looked toward it as Katsuki walked out with Deku unconsciously tied to a chair. He plopped him in the center of the living room.

“He’s dead.”

“WHAT?!” Everyone shouted.

“My BOY!” All Might ran up to him and Katsuki wrapped his arms around him in distress, surprising him. He pulled the taller man down and whispered in his ear.

“Just fucking go with it. I need to teach these fuckers a lesson.” He whispered harshly. All Might blinked in confusion before nodding his head. He put his head to Izuku’s chest and thankfully heard his heart beating a million miles a minute.

“WHO COULD HAVE DONE THIS?!” He sobbed dramatically.

“No way!” Ochaco shrieked. “Is he really…IS HE REALLY?!” She trembled as she looked at her hands before looking around as the room swirled. When her eyes landed on Mina, she pointed at her and wailed. “THIS IS YOUR FAULT! YOU KILLED DEKU-KUN! ALL SO YOU CAN HAVE THIS DUMB PARTY!”

“I KILLED HIM?!” Mina gasped. “I DIDN'T POISON HIM! THAT WAS ALL YOU!” Mina shouted, making everyone gasp.

“WHAT IS GOING ON?!” Mitsuki shrieked. “WHAT DID YOU ALL DO TO LITTLE IZUKU?! And on Katsuki’s birthday?!”

“I told you to ruin his mountain trip, not SPIKE HIS CINNAMON ROLL.” Mina cried. “HOW COULD YOU?!”

“WE COULD HAVE SAVED HIM IF YOU LET ME TAKE HIM TO RECOVERY GIRL, BUT YOU WANTED TO TIE HIM UP!” Uraraka cried.

“YOU HELPED ME FOR DOUBLE THE PRICE!” Mina cried.

“Don’t play dumb Mina! This is all your fault. Everything was your idea!” Sero pointed out, hoping to not take blame

“My idea?” Mina shook. “No, it was Kaminari’s idea! Everything was Kaminari’s idea because he wanted to steal Katsuki away from Midoriya!”

“Blaming an unconscious man who can’t defend himself?” Sero shook his head.

“Sero! I swear to God! Whose side are you on?!”

“Babe…” Eijiro watched his girlfriend in horror. “What’s happening to you?”

“What’s happening to all of you indeed.” All Might stood up seriously. “This is not how young heroes behave.”

“I’m sorry.” Izuku grumbled as he easily snapped the ribbon off, making everyone gasp.

“Ghost!” TetsuTetsu yelled.

“I don’t know what I did to make you all mad…but…I’m really sorry about it.” Izuku cried. “All Might…” He said seriously. “Don’t punish them too harshly.” He walked up to Katsuki and laced their hands together. “It all worked out anyway.” He smiled at him.

“You were supposed to pretend to be dead longer.” Katsuki fumed before Izuku kissed his cheek, shutting him up.

“I know but..this is taking too long. And…and if it’s okay with you, we still have the rest of the evening to go on that trip.” Deku smiled sheepishly. “And I wanna spend the rest of the day with my new boyfriend on his birthday away from all…this.” He said sincerely and Katsuki melted. How could he say no to that?

“The cabin reservations are still good.” All Might nodded. “If you boys can be ready in an hour, we can enjoy the rest of the weekend.” He gave them a thumbs up. “As for the rest of you, I will be discussing with Aizawa a suitable punishment. I am very disappointed in you all. We will be doing a thorough investigation on what took place here.”

“Yes All Might…”

Izuku and Katsuki sat side by side while they watched the sunrise from the top of the beautiful mountain they climbed together. Deku rested his head on Katsuki's shoulder and couldn’t believe his luck.

“Kacchan. I feel bad.” Izuku said sheepishly.

“What do you have to feel bad for?” Katsuki asked as he kissed his head gently. “Look.” He pointed at the beautiful view of the sun rising and Izuku sighed.

“It’s just…your birthday’s over and I didn’t get you anything.” He said sadly as he watched the twentieth become the twenty-first.

“Are you crazy?” Katsuki asked before turning to look into his boyfriend’s beautiful eyes. He then sealed their lips together with a deep and passionate kiss. He couldn’t believe himself. He was really here on a beautiful mountain kissing the person he loved the most.

“You’re the best fucking gift I could have ever asked for.” Katsuki whispered genuinely.

“I feel like it’s MY birthday.” Izuku blushed.

“Technically it’s our anniversary now. So it’s OUR fucking birthday.” Katsuki smirked.

“Then happy birthday to us.”

“Happy birthday to us.”

The two spent the rest of the Sunrise enraptured in each other. As Katsuki kissed his new boyfriend, he realized his birthday was not so bad after all.
