Chapter Text

Izuku tried to swallow the lump in his throat, even though it felt like hot coals. His whole body shook as he stared at the stick in his hand. Two pink little lines seemed to glare at him.

Positive.

Oh, god.

Being a single omega was hard enough, but now adding pregnancy on top of that– what the hell was he going to do?! He wasn't even mated! And it wasn't like he could tell Kacchan either. The alpha was busy on tour with his band. He didn't have time for Izuku, not with just being signed on to Plus Ultra Records. It was Kacchan's dream to work under All Might. Izuku wasn't about to ruin that. No, he'd be fine on his own. He'd be okay.

He placed the stick on the counter and looked at his reflection in the mirror. His emerald eyes were glassy and filled with tears, but beneath that there was a determined look in them. He's been in worse situations, the scars on his arm and his crooked fingers were enough evidence of that. A deep protective urge washed over Izuku as he rested his hand on his lower abdomen. In that moment, Izuku knew he'd do anything for the little life growing inside of him. Even keeping it a secret from Kacchan.

Three months went by in a blur, but Izuku wasn't completely on his own. Iida, Uraraka, Tsuyu, and Todoroki were all there for him. His pack was excited for him, already planning his baby shower and helping him turn his spare room into a nursery. Izuku was excited. The omega was absolutely glowing. His skin was soft and dewy, and since he was so petite, he had the cutest baby bump. His scent had shifted as well, now the smell of honeysuckle and pine had traces of milk clinging to it.

[x]

It was a normal Tuesday night when Izuku got a knock on his door. He had been lounging around in shorts and a baggy shirt, waiting for Todoroki to arrive for their movie night. He went to open the door, a smile on his face. As soon as he opened the door though, his mouth fell open in shock. There he was, his alpha. When had Kacchan gotten off tour? It took the alpha three seconds flat to figure out what was going on. His eyes were drawn to the baby bump that Izuku was subconsciously cradling.

"Deku, you're fucking pregnant?"

A second went by as Izuku fully realized who was standing in front of him. With wide eyes, he slammed the door and slid his deadbolt into place.

No, it couldn't be.

He nearly tripped over his own feet as he backed away from the door. Kacchan started knocking, no , was banging on the door and calling out to him. Izuku didn’t know what to do. He started to hyperventilate, scent souring. He turned and ran into his bedroom, shutting and locking that door as well before he crawled into his nest. His hand reached out to grab his phone off the charger on his nightstand. He could barely see through his tears, but he still fumbled to unlock his phone and call Todoroki.

“Please, please pick up, Shouto. Please pick up, please pick up-”

The phone rang exactly three times before going to voicemail. Izuku sobbed.

[x]

Shouto growled deep in his chest, phone clenched in one fist as he glared at Bakugou banging on Midoriya’s door. Shouto's alpha was furious . Who the hell did Bakugou think he was, abandoning Midoriya just to randomly barge into his life again! Midoriya was fine . Shouto had it handled, he was the one taking care of Midoriya now.

The growl was enough to grab Bakugou's attention. Red eyes snapped to look at him. Bakugou snarled, hackles raised as his own growl echoed in the empty hallway. The smell of gunpowder and blood surrounded Shouto in a clear challenge. Bakugou was challenging him.

Fine, if he wanted it to be that way, so be it.

" You ," Shouto hissed, a hint of an alpha command laced in his tone, " have no right to be here.

"HAH?! You wanna run that by me again, you piece of shit? That's my omega in there-"

"-HE'S NOT YOURS." Shouto roared, moving so quickly he even shocked himself. He shoved Bakugou hard with his free hand, knocking the other alpha far away from the door.

A split second of shock, then pure rage passed over Bakugou's face. He was quiet for a second, before speaking in an eerily calm voice.  "Oh? He's yours then? I always knew you fuckin' wanted him. So desperate for his cunt you don't even care he's carrying my seed-"

Bakugou's head snapped back before his body hit the floor from Shouto's right hook. A sharp curse left Bakugou's mouth as he held his tender jaw.

"Izuku doesn't belong to anyone . He's his own person, and you'll do well to remember that." Shouto said, levelling him with a cool stare. "If he wanted to talk to you, he would. If I see you're still out here when I leave, I'm calling the cops."

Fishing Izuku's spare key out of his front pocket, he quickly opened the door and slammed it shut before Bakugou could even get up.

Instantly, the smell of distressed omega hit him like a ton of bricks. Shouto let out  an alpha's croon and was met with a whimper coming from the bedroom. He put his phone and key on a side table in the living room as he made his way to Izuku's nest.

When he realized the door was locked, he gently rapped his knuckles against the door. "Izu?" He asked carefully. "Do you want to let me in?"

Some shuffling was heard from the other side of the door before the click of the lock sounded. The door was quickly pulled back, revealing a nearly inconsolable Midoriya. Shouto held his arms open and Midoriya collapsed into them. He picked up the omega, walked and placed him back into his nest before toeing off his own shoes and joining him in it.

Midoriya curled into his side as Shouto carefully scented him, covering him in the smell of pack and family. That's all Shouto was, and that's all he wanted to be. His heart, well . It had other fixations. Namely alphas who sang in Spanish and had toothy devilish grins.

Shouto squeezed his eyes shut as he willed the thoughts of Hanta away. It would do him no good to think about him now. Not when Midoriya needed him. It was time for him to do his duties as pack alpha.

Doing his best to console Midoriya, a promise rang through Shouto.

No one else was going to hurt Izu. Especially Katsuki Bakugou.

Chapter Text

Katsuki could tell when he fucked up, but actually admiting it? Nah, he’d rather try pulling out his own fucking tonsils.

However, walking out of Deku’s apartment building, with his jaw throbbing and his heart aching, he could admit it. He fucked up.

He just hoped that he could fix it.

Pregnant. Deku was fucking pregnant

His heart lurched inside his chest as his throat clenched with stubborn tears. There was no way the pup wasn't his, the time frame was too close to be a coincidence. He knew Deku, knew him like the back of his hand. There was absolutely no way he was fucking around with anyone else, he would've known.

He got inside the car just as the rain started. Sitting there for a minute, he rested his head against the steering wheel as the last thing he said to Deku before he left replayed in his mind.

Deku groaned, waking up when he realized Katsuki wasn't in bed. He could hear him moving around in the living room, so he got up to investigate.

There Katsuki stood, fully dressed and putting on his boots.

"Kacchan? Where-? Where are you going?" He sounded confused, sleepy eyes barely opened as he stared up at him.

Katsuki couldn't even glance at him. One look at him in that pink silk pajama set and he'd be all over him again. It wouldn't solve anything since he was trying his damn best to leave. He didn't answer him.

When Deku reached out to rest a hand on his arm, Katsuki snapped at him.

"Don't fucking touch me!"

Deku flinched, his eyes going wide. He was definitely awake now.

"Baby, what's going on-"

"I'm not your baby!" Katsuki hissed. He turned his back. Trying to do this the painless way wasn't going to get him anywhere. He wasn't good for Deku in the first place. If he could just get him to see that, maybe he could move on.

"I'm not yours, Deku. You're not mine. This wasn't going to last, you and I both knew that. So stop trying to make something out of nothing!"

A bitter laugh escaped him as his eyes burned from the unshed tears. His laughter turned quickly into angry sobs as he gripped the steering wheel.

Something out of nothing.

Something out of nothing alright. An entire ass kid! He was having a pup with Deku. God, he had fucked up so bad.

When his phone started ringing, he blindly answered it, not even trying to keep it together as Kirishima started to speak to him.

"Yo, dude! Where are you at? Miruko is about to send heads rolling. Sound check starts in ten minutes!"

"Ei," Katsuki choked out, taking a gulp of air before another sob tore through him. "I fucked up really bad."

[x]

A week after he walked out of Izuku's apartment, his band landed their first tour under the record label Plus Ultra. All Might, the man behind the label and the music legend himself would be personally mentoring them. It was official. Renegades were on their way to the big time.

With Katsuki on drums, Sero on bass, Kaminari and Kirishima on guitar, and Jirou as their front man, their band was nearly flawless. They had a distinct sound, due to everyone in the band having great vocals. They were constantly changing things up, keeping their sound fresh. It was why they were so popular.

Their band, more than anything, was a pack.

Yet, they all left a little something behind.

Jirou's alpha was at home, having to keep up and run her family's business.

Kaminari couldn't stop texting his mates, sad that the two of them couldn't come along on tour.

Kirishima was even waiting to court someone until after they got home.

And Sero? Well, he didn't tell anyone, but it was clear to see that his heart was left behind too.

They all had to make sacrifices.

Katsuki just thought that this one was the right choice. For both of them.

A month into the tour, he realized how wrong he was.

It was after the show, after what had felt like endless encores with the crowd screaming their name. Katsuki was using the edge of his tank top to wipe his brow when he heard Kaminari gasp and nearly knock him over as he ran past him.

"OI! Watch where you're going–!"

When Katsuki looked up, he was dumbfounded. Kaminari's mates had him wrapped up in their arms.

Kaminari cried as he placed kisses all over Monoma's face, with Shinsou nuzzling his neck from behind.

Everyone else was happy for Kaminari, happy that he got to see his mates after one long month. Katsuki, on the other hand, felt like screaming. Cement filled his gut, his heart aching and yearning in his chest.

Izuku. He still wanted Izuku.

So, Katsuki waited. He knew their tour was taking them back home for a show, back to Deku. Calling him seemed like a cop-out. No, Deku deserved to hear Katsuki's apology face to face. Katsuki knew, down in his bones, that Deku loved him, that Deku would wait for him despite the lies that he told. That's just how Deku was. He wanted to be a better man, a better alpha. The best place to start, apologies.

So imagine his surprise, when Deku opened that door, cradling his stomach and absolutely glowing. Milk clinging to pine and honeysuckle, hit him like a freight train. A door slammed in his face.

One fight later with that half and half bastard, and here he was. Crying on the phone as he explained everything to his best friend.

Kirishima was silent on the other end of the phone. He only spoke when Katsuki had quieted down.

"Just stay where you are, okay? I'll come and get you. I'll be there soon, bud."

After saying goodbye, Kirishima hung up. Dropping his phone in the passenger seat, Katsuki went back to clinging onto the steering wheel.

He was going to fix this. Somehow.

Chapter Text

"I have to go get Kats." Eijirou sighed, putting his phone away.

Looking up, Sero started to put his bass down. "Do you need me to come with you?"

He shook his head. "Nah, it's best if I go alone. Dude is torn up, I'm sure he doesn't want anyone else seeing him this way."

Sero could only nod. He knew the feeling.

Eijirou eventually found Miruko, their manager, and asked for a car and a driver. He explained everything to her in hushed details. Miruko may have been a hard headed alpha, but at the same time she took care of her pack.

"Just bring him back safe, alright?" She clasped Eijirou's shoulder looking him in the eye.

He nodded, holding the gaze of his pack alpha.

The entire drive there, Eijirou couldn't help but let his mind wander. Midoriya was pregnant, Bakugou was obviously the father. From what he had said to Eijirou though, shit just wasn't adding up. Todoroki didn't seem like the type to go after Midoriya. Besides, didn't he have a thing with Sero? No one may have told Eijirou anything, but he wasn't blind. He could tell when two people were sneaking around, and those two alphas weren't exactly subtle.

This was all such a mess.

When he got there, it was still raining, but he could easily make out Bakugou parked in a car. He approached him, then knocked his knuckles against the window. Bakugou's head snapped up, then he looked at Eijirou. His face was blotchy, cheeks were tear stained. Bakugou may have been handsome, but he was an ugly crier. Wordlessly, he got out of the car to let Eijirou into the driver's seat. Once he was back inside, and the both of them were safely buckled up, Eijirou pulled onto the street.

They were silent as Eijirou drove back to the venue. Every once in a while, he'd glance over at Bakugou. Usually, he could tell you what was on his best friend's mind, but now -? He had never seen such an out of place expression on Bakugou's face. He looked completely defeated.

As they were pulling up into the parking garage, Eijirou finally broke the silence.

"Hey, man." He started gently, treading lightly with his words. "Do you think you're gonna be able to play tonight? 'Cause if not, I got your back. One canceled show won't ruin us." Eijirou put the car into park, then turned to face him fully.

Bakugou just stared down at his hands. He took a deep breath. "I'll play. It's not our fans' fault I can't keep my shit together." Even the tone of his voice was so full of pain. Bakugou was in agony . "Ei, don't--"

"--Don't tell anyone about Midoriya. I won't, but Kats. C'mon, man. Everyone already knows something is up with you. You gotta know that we all have your back, one hundred percent."

Looking up at Eijirou, Bakugou's eyes shined with fresh tears. A wet laugh left his lips as he shook his head. "I know that."

"Do you though?" Eijirou asked, putting a strong hand on his arm. "We're a pack, family. Nothing can change that."

He pulled away, a grimace showing up on his face as he turned his head away from Eijirou. "Can we drop the chick flick bullshit? It's fine! I'll be fine." Bakugou lied.

Letting out a sigh, Eijirou dropped it. "Okay," he opened the car door, but before he got out, he said one more thing. "I'll drop it, but if you need anything , you can talk to me." He watched Bakugou nod before getting out of the car himself.

By the time they made it up to the stage to complete sound check, Bakugou seemed mostly put together. He had a mask in place, and Eijirou, he was worried.

However, like he said, he didn't bring it up again. He knew Bakugou would come to him if and when he wanted to talk. He just had to wait things out.

[x]

Turns out, he didn't have to wait long.

It was after the show, after the meet and greets. They were at their favorite bar in the city before they had to hit the road again. Bakugou was three sheets to the wind, Eijirou had somehow managed to stay sober. They were in a booth, just the two of them while the rest of the band was off doing God knows what. Bakugou's head was face down on the table, smushed up against the wood as his hand gripped a beer bottle.

"Mnhp shmmd hfff mmmtd hm!"

Eijirou blinked. " What ?"

Lifting his head, Bakugou scowled. "I, I should have mated him!" He slurred, then took a swig of his beer. He grimaced at the taste. Usually he went for whiskey, but when he was feeling shitty, beer was his go to.

"Midoriya?"

" No , Britney Spears--! Yes, Deku. I should've," Bakugou leaned back against the booth, his head lolling to the side. "I should've made him mine when I had the fucking chance. Now, now he's gon- he's gonna shack up with that candy cane bastard."

"I don't think--!" Eijirou sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

Oh my god, he's a fucking moron.

"You're not thinking this through. Todoroki," He started, then paused when a growl erupted from Bakugou at the mention of the other alpha. " Todoroki , isn't into Midoriya." Glancing around, Eijirou looked for Sero. When he saw that he was playing pool with Kaminari, he leaned in over the table. "He has a thing going on with Sero." He whispered.

" HAH?!"

A few people looked their way, causing Eijirou to panic. He slapped a hand over Bakugou's mouth as he hissed at him. "Oh my fucking god, dude! Shut up, literally, you are so loud."

Bakugou almost went cross eyed, staring down at Eijirou's firm hand over his mouth. He did the only logical thing he could do.

" EW!" Pulling his hand back in disgust, Eijirou wiped his now grossly wet hand against the booth while Bakugou laughed like the menace he was.

"You're disgusting." Now it was Eijirou's turn to scowl. He hated being the responsible one, but what else could he do? Looks like it was his turn with the brain cell.

All Bakugou could do was laugh, but it wasn't long before his face crumbled and he started crying. Snot ran from his nose as he hiccuped with sobs. It once again gained the attention of a few strangers as Eijirou quickly tried to do some damage control.

"Okay, okay, yup. That's enough drinking for tonight, we're going back to the bus." Getting up, he pulled Bakugou to his feet. Bakugou was lethargic, leaning against Eijirou as he wept. He was such an emotional drunk. Eijirou didn't worry about closing their tab, since the whole band was under the same one. Miruko would take care of it.

Unknowingly, to both Eijirou and Bakugou, someone was filming the both of them, and taking pictures the entire time.

Shit was about to hit the fan.

Chapter Text

It was trending on twitter within a day and a half.

Katsuki was dead to the world, drool running down his chin as he was starfished in his bunk. Visions of verdant eyes and soft emerald curls passed through his dreams. The dreams shifted. A beautiful baby, a girl with blonde curls and the brightest green eyes stared up at Katsuki as she held his finger in her tiny but strong little fist. The scene changed again. A toddler was sitting in his lap, drumsticks in her hands as she tapped the drums, looked back at him, and laughed. The dream continued like this, little tidbits of her life. A life that Katsuki was involved with. A Deku with rings stacked on his ring finger and a mating mark on his scruff and scent gland. Katsuki never thought this was the kind of life he would have, but now he didn’t want anything else.

In his dream, just as he was leaning down to kiss Deku, he was abruptly woken up. He sputtered as he sat up in his bunk, his wet hair sticking to his forehead and his shirt clinging to his body. Water dripped down his face as he wiped his eyes, curses leaving his mouth rapid fire.

WHAT THE FUCK-

“Almost five hundred thousand retweets in the LAST hour alone. Nearly a MILLION views on the video going around on different platforms. Thank fucking god none of the videos could make out what you and Eijirou were talking about. This is bad enough. Here I thought you could hold your liquor but here you are, once again, proving me wrong you stinking brat. Just sloppy, Katsuki! Sloppy! ”

Miruko stood off to the side of his bunk, a now empty but still dripping water bottle hanging from her hand as she stood there with her arms crossed. A disappointed sneer was on her face. “No more drinking while on tour, and this isn’t coming from me. Nah, it’s straight from Toshinori. Even he is disappointed in you.”

Katsuki couldn’t even look her in the eye. He hung his head as he sat up in his bunk, his elbows supported on his knees as water dripped from his hair onto the floor.

“I’ll take care of it.” His voice was reserved, solemn.

“You fucking better. We have thirteen more shows before we’re back home to record. Fix it, kid. Don’t disappoint me again.”

After Miruko left, Katsuki changed his clothes and cleaned up the water. The bus was stopped, the rest of the band was nowhere to be seen. When he stepped out of the bus, he noticed that they were in a different city. The dreams still lingered in his head.

Izuku. Izuku, god. Fuck, I messed up. I messed up so bad.

Thirteen more shows, then I’ll be home.

Wait for me.

Wait for me, baby.

[x]

“Perhaps you should move, Izuku. Ochako and I have spare rooms, and little Kaito adores you!” Iida said, switching his newborn to the other side of his chest to nurse. Iida was the most gentle and caring omega, and was so lucky to have an alpha like Uraraka to take care of him and their pup.

Currently, Izuku’s whole pack is in his apartment. He and Todoroki had just explained the whole Kacchan situation and they were appalled. Tsuyu had her own opinions on the matter, but regardless she was on Izuku’s side. He was just grateful for the support system he did have.

“I appreciate the offer, but -” There were too many memories. Too many good things that had happened inside these walls. Besides, if he did leave, how would Kacchan find him again? He had no way of calling him, everytime he tried to call, it always said the number was disconnected. He wanted to stay. No, he needed to stay.

Kacchan would come back. He just knew it.

“I’m going to stay. I’m safe here. My nest is here, and I just-”

Uraraka rested a hand on his arm to stop him before he could ramble. Currently Tsuyu and Todoroki were in the kitchen preparing dinner.

“Izu, sweetheart. No one is saying you have to leave. We just want you to know that you have options. We love you, honey. And your pup.” Her smile was so warm and her coffee and leather scent surrounded him in comfort. She had always smelt so safe.

He nodded, looking down at his belly as he cradled it. He had so much love in his life, but there was one person he wanted to share it with the most and by now he was on the other side of the damn country.

Even if he didn’t have Kacchan, he still had their pup. Who would always be a little piece of his Kacchan. The perfect reminder of the alpha who stole his heart on day one.

Before he could start crying, Todoroki came out of the kitchen with a dish towel thrown over his shoulder.

“Dinner is ready whenever you three want to join us.”

Everyone sat at the dinner table, enjoying food, the chatter of small talk filling the air. Todoroki watched Izuku eat, making sure he stayed hydrated and well-fed. Ever since the incident with Kacchan a couple of weeks ago, Todoroki had been over almost every day since. He took his role as pack alpha very seriously.

Izuku only wished that Todoroki would be a little selfish, take a day off from caring about him, and actually call Sero.

Todoroki was terrible at hiding it. Sero made him so happy, why couldn't he just get over his own pride and actually call him?!

Talk about the kettle calling the pot black.

Ice filled Izuku's veins as he sat down his utensils. He took his napkin and wiped his face before carefully standing up from the dinner table to clear his plate.

"You okay, Izu?" Tsuyu asked, looking up at Izuku as he stood. It drew everyone's attention to him. He tried not to wince at the creeping feeling of everyone else's eyes running over him to make sure he was okay. He was pregnant, it wasn't like he was suddenly made of glass.

"I'm fine, I just want to go and nest." Izuku said, cradling his belly.

Iida perked up, shifting the weight of Kaito's baby sling that was wrapped against him. "Oh! Would you like a puppy pile?"

"Actually, yeah. Yeah, I would. Just us though." Here lately Izuku had become picky about who he let into his nest, but the idea of snuggling with them and being around that clean laundry scent that was purely Iida sounded perfect.

Before Uraraka or Todoroki could object, the two omegas were out of the room and into Izuku's bedroom.

Once the door was closed, Iida began removing Kaito from his sling. "I could sense you were stressed and that's not good for your pup." Iida said, so casually as if he were talking about the weather. He then cooed at his son, cradling him in one arm as he patted and tested out the nest with his other arm. "However, I will not ask you to talk about it. I would just like you to know that I am always here to support you and listen to you."

It could've made Izuku sob.

Iida always seemed to know exactly what to say to ease his anxiety. Sniffling, he crawled into the nest, Iida joining him with Kaito. The two omegas got situated, placing the newborn between them. Kaito was only a couple of weeks old, and already had won the hearts of everyone in the pack. Thinking about it, he was glad that his pup would have someone relatively close in age to grow up with.

He let his mind wander as Iida stroked his brow and cheek to soothe him. Iida chirped and purred, the sounds rumbling from his chest. Izuku hummed as he allowed his eyes to close. He'd be fine if he took a short nap. Just enough to recharge, he wouldn't be asleep that long.

When he woke up, it was to Iida breastfeeding Kaito again. The lights in his bedroom were dim, so he couldn't quite tell how long he'd been out.

"Tenya?" He asked, somewhat groggy. "How long have I been asleep?"

Iida hummed. "At least a few hours now. It's almost twelve."

Izuku went silent.

Good. So I haven't missed it.

He sat up, pulling his phone out of the pocket of his leggings. A notification popped up on his Twitter.

HELLSFIRE HAS FINALLY DROPPED HIS LONG AWAITED SECOND SINGLE. CHECK IT OUT BELOW!

There was an itch under his skin, his heart thumping wildly in his chest as he read the reactions of fans and saw how HellsFire was already trending.

And it was all because of him.

After all, it was a song that Izuku wrote .

Chapter Text

Izuku has been ghostwriting for the better part of five years now. He made good money, it paid for his apartment, and he didn’t have to deal with the fame and publicity that his songs and works had brought. He got to keep his privacy.

Sometimes though, he wondered.

What would it be like to actually have recognition? Validation that didn’t come secondhand from fans of a lie.

He could sing. As of a matter of fact, he could sing beautifully.

But he was too plain. Too soft spoken. Too forgettable to really make waves as a solo artist.

Touya however…

He was like fire and frost. Not even Todoroki knew that Izuku was ghostwriting for his oldest brother. It was a complicated situation.

It happened a few weeks after Kacchan left.

The TV was playing trash romcoms while it stormed heavily outside. Izuku was nesting on the couch, a pint of white chocolate and raspberry ice cream was in his lap as he shoveled the sweet treat into his mouth. Tears were clinging to his dark lashes as he sniffled.

Kacchan was gone, off to bigger and better things. He heard through the media and then Todoroki about the tour. Kacchan must be so happy, he was finally living his dream.

A cheesy and predictable scene played on the TV, and it caused Izuku to make a pained face. Before he could start sobbing, there was a knock at his door.

Quickly, he wiped his face with the inside of his shirt and put his ice cream container on the coffee table. He knew he looked like shit. He hadn't brushed his hair in two days and he was wearing a sweatshirt of Kacchan's that was basically a dress on him. He was so, so tired.

When he opened the door, his eyes widened.

"Touya? What are you doing here?" Izuku asked, taking in his soaking wet form. "Come in! Dry off, geez."

The enigma silently followed after Izuku. He didn't make a single comment about the state of dress Izuku was in. Touya just stood there as he let Izuku fret over him. From grabbing spare clothes that Todoroki had left there, to picking out the fluffiest towel in his linen closet. He shoved the items in Touya's arms and ushered him off into the bathroom. A few minutes later, he came back wearing only the sweats that Izuku gave him.

Redirecting his gaze away from Touya, Izuku's face flushed. He was gorgeous with pale alabaster skin that was covered in tattoos. Izuku snuck another glance. Were-? Were those nipple piercings!?

"Hey bunny." Touya drew out his words, then pointed at his face. "Eyes up here."

Izuku pouted, then crossed his arms. He let out a grumble. "What is it? Did you come here just to tease me? I'm not some kid you can bully anymore, if you're going to-"

"-be my writer."

The words were enough to cause Izuku to snap his mouth shut.

"What?"

Taking a step towards him, Touya's presence seemed to fill up the room. Don't even get Izuku started on his scent. It was dangerous. He cupped Izuku's face, tilting the omega's chin so their eyes would meet.

"You heard me, bunny. Be my writer."

Everything spiraled from there. He wrote one song for Touya, and suddenly fire was catching. It dominated the charts, was trending on TikTok. Sure, Izuku was good at what he did. Toga, Twice, and Shigaraki were all extremely popular thanks to Izuku's work, but it was nothing like this.

There was just something different about Touya. Izuku just couldn't figure out if that was a good thing, or a bad thing.

When he wasn't spending time with his pack, he was sneaking off to meetings with Touya. Meeting at the studio, seeing him at Touya's apartment. They were starting to become friends. It wasn't like when he was in junior high and Touya was just the scary big brother of his best friend. He had changed, had grown into a different person. Izuku was proud of him.

There was also the matter of Touya constantly flirting with him, but Izuku just figured that was his personality. He knew Izuku was pregnant and knew that he was still in love with Kacchan. It wasn't like it was a secret or anything.

Still What would it be like?

An enigma like Touya, nesting with Izuku. Touya's calloused hands all over him, worshipping his body. Looking into Touya's vibrant blue eyes every day. A pup that looked just like him.

He could never think of Touya like that for long though. Thoughts and memories of Kacchan would always, always, take over.

He missed him so much. He knew he messed up, that he shouldn't have slammed that door in his face, he was just scared.

[x]

Time was quickly going by. It wasn't long before Izuku hit that sixth month marker.

By now, the nursery was finished, and his pack was planning his pup shower. He didn't want anything too extravagant, just wanted his family there.

He was at the grocery store with Iida and little Kaito, when he caught sight of a tabloid at the checkout counter.

Picking it up, his eyes widened as he flipped through it. The pictures were blurry, thankfully in the photo he had been wearing a beanie, but it was obvious to Izuku. This tabloid had published pictures of him and Touya

His stomach dropped as his hands began to shake as he read interviews and speculations about Touya and his 'secret' lover.

This isn't good. This really isn't good.

Iida looked over at Izuku, who was putting the tabloid away. "Izuku, are you okay?"

"Yeah! I'm fine, just spacey." He smiled at Iida, then turned his attention to Kaito who began cooing at him from his place in his car seat. Izuku tickled Kaito's tummy as he tried not to think about the tabloid pictures.

He would have to call Touya. Tonight.

Three more shows.

Just three.

Katsuki was going home as soon as that last show ended.

He kept replaying that day in his head. The terrified look on Deku's face, the way he cradled his belly.

Katsuki got it. He understood why Deku did what he did, but it wasn't going to stop him. Katsuki was going to apologize. He was going to make things right. He was going to make up for all the missed time.

He loved Izuku.

If things went right, if Deku forgave him, he was going to mate him. He was going to marry him. He wouldn't let a single day go by without telling Deku how much he loved him.

Home was calling.

His alpha was uneasy.

I'm coming, Izuku.

I'll be home soon.

Notes:

Who saw that coming? 👀

Don't worry, this fic is bakudeku for a reason. I won't do you guys like that.

The drama however, I will not apologize for.

Chapter Text

"You guys have been great! Thanks for coming out tonight. Before we go, we'll leave you with this." Kaminari said, holding the mic stand with his guitar slung around his back. For this last song, he was fronting instead of Jirou.

Suddenly, Jirou's finger moved across the fret of her guitar. The whole band began to play as he sang a slow ballad.

"But I wanna feel all that love and emotion. Be that attached to the person I'm holding. Someday, I'll be falling, without caution. But for now, I'm only people watching-"

It was the last show. So much time had passed, but Katsuki had been patient. He had been counting down the days to Deku.

Once everything was said and done, and the buses were packed, Katsuki requested a car from Miruko. He didn't need the driver.

He threw his duffle bag in the backseat while Kirishima hovered behind him.

"Are you sure you don't want me to come with you, Kats?" Kirishima asked, watching as Katsuki got ready to leave.

"Positive." He grumbled, getting into the driver's seat. He slammed the door and started the car. Rolling the window down, he took one last look at Kirishima. His heart softened. Kirishima only wanted to support him. Katsuki offered him one of his rare, soft smiles. "I'll be fine, Ei. I'll text you or some shit."

"Okay. Just keep me posted." Kirishima nodded and waved at him as he drove off.

Katsuki was finally going home.

Touya didn't want many things in his life.

He already had everything he needed. He had a nice apartment and had cool friends. He had a blossoming music career, and more trust fund money than he knew what to do with. All in all, life was great.

But it wasn't complete.

The enigma craved intimacy. Not just from anybody either.

He wanted a mate.

I want Izuku

Something about that scent drove the enigma absolutely mad

Izuku was intelligent and kind. He knew him basically his whole life. Watching Izuku grow up was like seeing a rose bloom in stop motion. He was gorgeous, an absolutely stunning omega.

He was perfect for Touya in every way.

It didn't matter that he was pupped up. Touya didn't care. He'd love that brat and would take care of them like they were his own. Just as long as he would get to stand by Izuku's side. Touya was willing to do anything, be anything, to have Izuku for himself.

He'd burn the world to ashes for that omega.

The only obstacle in his way was Katsuki fucking Bakugou. He didn’t even know how to start getting rid of that asshole. How was Touya supposed to make Izuku see that Bakugou was all wrong for him? Hey, he wasn’t no saint himself. He knew that he did shady shit in his past. There was a lot of dirt on his hands, blacked out pages in his records. Touya owned up to it. He changed. For the better.

What did Bakugou have that he didn’t?

At least I’m not an asshole with fragile masculinity.

He’d convince Izuku to be with him. He just needed time.

[x]

Izuku chewed on the inside of his cheek as he impatiently waited for Touya to show up at his apartment. Anxiously, he cleaned the whole place. He knew he was bordering on distressed, but he couldn’t get the tabloid pictures out of his mind. Sure, the publicity was good for Touya, but that didn’t matter to him. Izuku wanted his privacy for a reason. Even though his identity was obscured, it still filled him with dread. If he could tell that it was himself, what was stopping his friends, what was stopping Katsuki recognizing him too?

He had just finished sweeping for the fourth time when someone knocked on the door. Taking a shaky breath, he put the broom back into the kitchen closet before checking over his appearance. He was wearing his favorite maternity leggings paired with one of Kacchan’s faded band tees. Izuku took the orange scrunchie from his wrist and pulled his curls into a half up, half down ponytail. He hadn’t had a haircut since Katsuki left. His curls were barely brushing his shoulders and he was starting to love it.

Learning from previous mistakes, he stood up on his tiptoes to look into the peephole to see who it was before opening the damn door.

He opened the door with a nervous smile. Touya smiled back at him, holding up a Target bag full of Izuku’s favorite snacks. The enigma was dressed casually, but still managed to make it look like he stepped out of a photoshoot. He paired black ripped jeans with a simple white crew neck. It was painfully average. It had no right being as sexy as it was.

Izuku’s face flushed and it only caused Touya to raise a perfect eyebrow.

“You going to let me in or what, Bunny?” He asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Izuku blinked and looked away, his nose scrunched up as he turned to let the enigma into his apartment.

Touya followed closely behind him, stopping to sit the Target bag on the kitchen island. Izuku opened the fridge and grabbed a bottle of water, taking a second to sip at it before turning to face Touya. He cleared his throat and put the water bottle on the counter.

“We need to talk about the articles.” His voice was surprisingly firm as he crossed his arms and rested them on the top of his belly.

“What articles?” Touya asked, still smiling as he leaned against one of the counters.

Izuku glared, clenching his jaw. “I know you’re not stupid. You know exactly what I’m talking about.” He wasn’t about to budge or bend for Touya. Just because they were friends and Izuku was somewhat attracted to him didn’t mean shit right now. He had to set boundaries.

Sighing, the smile dropped from Touya’s face. He ran a hand through his streaked white and black hair. “Yeah. Yeah, okay. I know what you’re talking about. It’s already out there though, that won’t change. They weren’t malicious or anything, so I don't really see why you're pissed off about it.”

“I’m pissed because this is MY life, Touya! I’m out of the public’s eye for a reason. I’m a ghostwriter for a reason! What happens when Shouto finds out, when any of-”

“-so, you’re ashamed of me.”

The tone of Touya’s voice was enough to stop Izuku dead in his tracks.

Oh. oh, no.

“What?! No, no it’s not like that at all.”

“But it is.” The small way Touya’s voice broke had Izuku’s heart softening completely. His gaze was drawn to the ground as he refused to look at Izuku.

He approached the enigma, hands reaching out for him as his pheromones spread in a comforting way. Milky honeysuckle and pine filled the kitchen around them. “Touya, please. Just look at me.”

When Touya looked him in the eyes, he almost cried. “I’m sorry if I’ve made you feel that way. I’m not ashamed of you. I’m so proud of you and how much you’ve grown as a person. You've changed, for the better. I cherish what we have.”

Before Izuku could properly react, Touya was pulling him into his arms and scenting him. His belly was snug between them as Touya buried his tear covered face in Izuku’s neck. Izuku’s hands hovered over his back as he stood there in shock for a few seconds. Eventually, he caved. He gripped the back of Touya’s tee shirt as he allowed himself to be scented.

His omega didn’t know how to feel.

A little voice echoed in his head.

This is wrong. There’s going to be consequences.

Izuku ignored it.

They stayed like that for a few minutes, the conversation about the tabloids completely forgotten. Izuku eventually moved the two of them to the couch where they ended up putting on a random season of Voltron and started nesting on the couch. Touya got up to bring Izuku his snacks as their afternoon just turned into one of their typical hangout sessions. Only, it wasn’t typical and Izuku knew it. They were becoming too close; their relationship was too tangled. Anyone looking from the outside would call it courting.

That’s how they ended up falling asleep against each other. The lights dim, Lance and Keith flirting in the background. It should’ve been perfect.

This is so wrong…

Izuku woke up to the sound of persistent knocking at his door. He groaned and stretched, untangling himself from a sleeping Touya as he made his way to the door. If he were more awake, he would have been aware of the mix of his and Touya’s scents. He would have been aware of the creeping sense of Deja Vu before he opened the door, completely forgetting to check the peephole.

Two seconds. Then three.

Izuku’s heart fell to his feet as he found himself cradling his belly.

This was familiar. In the worst possible way.

Kacchan.”

It was at this moment Izuku knew; he fucked up.

[x]

Katsuki didn’t know what exactly to expect when Deku opened the door, but this was not fucking it.

At first, he was hopeful. He was full of love and longing. Deku was so goddamn beautiful.

Then the scent hit.

Touya motherfucking Todoroki.

Katsuki knew that scent. He despised it.

His expression was cold, calculating as he felt rage bubble up inside him. Deku was his goddamnit.

Words evaded him. He didn’t know what to say. Gunpowder and blood rolled off of Katsuki in waves. He looked around Izuku into the dark apartment. He could feel himself starting to posture. He was going to maim Touya. He was bordering on feral, and he didn’t care.

Kacchan, Katsuki please. Calm down, it’s not what you think-”

Deku started backing up as Katsuki forced himself into the apartment. He turned fiery eyes to the omega, his omega.

“It’s exactly what I fucking think and I want to throw up. Covered in his scent while you’re wearing my clothes? It’s fucking disrespectful as shit.” He spat out, storming into the living room. He slammed his hand against the light switch, turning the lights all the way up.

With his scent burning, and the lights now on, Touya was forced awake. He sat up and growled.

Touya stood and postured against Katsuki, but the alpha couldn’t be bothered to give a damn. They were both growling at each other while Deku watched in horror.

“You’ve got a lot of fucking nerve showing back up here, brat.” Touya’s cold voice rumbled from his chest.

“You've got no room to talk. He’s spoken for and you’re just making a damn fool of yourself playing house like I wasn’t always coming back.”

“Spoken for?” Touya smirked, causing Katsuki to growl. “I don’t see any marks.”

Before Katsuki could lunge at him, Deku’s voice thundered in the room.

BOTH OF YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP.”

It was rare, but it wasn’t unheard of for omegas to use persuasion. In some situations, it could be stronger than an alpha command. Most people compared it to the call of a Siren. Katsuki just never expected to hear Deku use it.

The two of them snapped their mouths shut and looked at the omega now standing between them.

“Katsuki, I’m sick and tired of your shit. You barge in here and you make assumptions and it’s ridiculous. I’ve had enough of the constant misunderstandings. I’m tired of crying myself to sleep every night because I don’t even know where to begin with your bullshit!”

Deku yelled at him, trembling as he clenched his fists. He was far from done. He turned to Touya next.

Touya, go home.” The enigma could’ve easily broken out of the persuasion but surprisingly, he grabbed his shit and left, the door quietly closing behind him.

Katsuki watched Deku stand there, with his chest heaving. It was clear to see he was holding back tears. If he could actually speak, he would have attempted to comfort the omega.

“For months all I wanted was for you to come home. That’s all I wanted. I knew you lied to me that night. I know you love me, but dammit Katsuki. I can’t keep doing this. I can’t.” Deku started to weep, fat tears rolling down his face and dripping from his chin.

Finally, Katsuki broke the persuasion and he crooned. He stepped towards Deku and pulled him into his arms. “ Baby-”

“NO!” Deku shoved him away, sobbing harder. “You don’t get to do this. You can sleep out here and we can talk tomorrow.” Deku growled. “I’m going to bed.”

“Izuku-” Katsuki tried reaching out again, but Deku was already rushing into his bedroom and slamming the door shut. He followed after him, cursing when he tried to turn the doorknob only to find out that it was locked.

Looks like I really am sleeping out here.

Fuck.

Chapter Text

Even though Deku's apartment was spotless, it smelled wrong. Touya's scent was everywhere and Katsuki couldn't have that. So, he cleaned. He deep cleaned and while he did it, he subtly scented the whole apartment. He made sure to keep his emotions in check so that his pheromones would be comforting instead of overpowering. He saved the living room for last, being sure to wash all the nesting materials. He sprayed the couch down with a scentless odor eliminator before he finally allowed himself to lay down for sleep.

The entire time, he was restless, he couldn't stop tossing and turning throughout the night. Just knowing that Deku was in the other room and he couldn't be near him was driving him crazy

Guilt and shame ate away at him. Was this the only thing that he was good for, just fucking everything up? He barged into Deku’s apartment like some asshole knothead, jumping to conclusions and making Deku cry. That seemed to be all he ever did.

Katsuki was finally starting to realize something.

I don’t deserve him. Is that bastard right? Would he really be happier with Touya?

He threw his arm over his face as stubborn tears pricked the corners of his eyes. Eventually he did end up falling asleep, just as the sun was starting to rise.

When Katsuki woke up again, it was to the smell of breakfast cooking. He sat up and groaned, stretching his back and popping it as he stood up. The only thing he was wearing was his tee shirt and his boxer briefs.

Walking into the kitchen with sleepy eyes, he was greeted with the most gorgeous sight. There Deku stood, in just panties and a baggy band tee that was obviously Katsuki's. Deku yawned, placing a hand on his lower back, right above his tailbone. He cooked with one hand, a thoughtful expression on his face. Katsuki stood there and held his breath, not even wanting to interrupt. The moment was perfect, it was so domestic, it made his alpha sing. Katsuki took a second, just to pretend. Just to imagine that this was his life. That Izuku was happy and content with being his . That he hadn't fucked up in the first place. That he had been there from the very beginning.

I wish I never fucking left.

"Are you done staring? Just take a picture, geez Katsuki. It'll last you longer." The bite in Deku's voice was enough to make Katsuki flinch back. Deku didn't even turn his attention away from the eggs he was preparing.

His eyes were pulled to the tile of the kitchen floor as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. He cleared his throat before mumbling a pathetic apology.

"Save it. Just grab some plates." Deku said, turning off the burner and moving the pan. Katsuki wordlessly obeyed him, even going as far as to grab utensils and cups and juice as well. He set the breakfast table as Deku plated the food. He brought Katsuki his plate then went to the fridge, grabbing a half empty, giant bottle of sriracha. Wordlessly, he joined Katsuki at the table where he proceeded to smother his cheesy eggs in the hot sauce.

Katsuki watched, blinking owlishly at Deku’s plate. Typically the omega hated spicy food. Usually he cried and jugged a half gallon of milk if anything was even remotely spicy. Now he was what? Using sriracha like it was ketchup?

Pregnancy is fucking weird.

Deku started shoveling the eggs into his mouth, only stopping to gulp down juice. Katsuki just stared. After a few minutes, Deku looked up. He swallowed his mouthful of eggs.

" What ?" Deku asked, his eyebrows furrowed. He gestured rudely with one hand while clenching his fork in the other. "Got something to say?"

Shaking his head, Katsuki turned his attention to his own plate and numbly began to eat. The food was good, even though it was a simple dish, it didn't change the fact that it was perfect. Deku really had been paying attention whenever they were in the kitchen together.

The two of them continued to eat in tense silence. Once they were both finished, Deku got up to put their plates in the sink. Katsuki tried to protest, he was going to wash the dishes, but Deku shut him up with a glare and a small growl.

All Katsuki could do was sit back and look like a fucking idiot while Deku moved around his kitchen like he wasn't even there.

He made a lot of unnecessary noise as he washed the dishes quickly and efficiently. Even though Katsuki could tell Deku was pissed, it didn't change the fact that he was fucking adorable while he huffed and pouted at the sink. All of the omega's emotions were intense, almost too big for his little body. For the second time that morning, he quietly watched him.

Eventually, Deku turned off the faucet, the silence abrupt. Katsuki watched him grip the edge of the sink, and listened to him mumble. He looked away when Deku finally turned to face him. It took another minute before the omega spoke up. Katsuki's gaze snapped back to him.

"I'm angry, Katsuki. I'm tired. I'm tired of being angry and I'm tired of being heartbroken over this." Deku's voice didn't waver, not once. Katsuki's omega was strong.

"I don't-!" Deku pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed as he leaned back against the sink. "I don't even know what else to say to you! I thought about this exact conversation, agonized , over it. But now I'm just-!" He threw his hands up as a bitter laugh left his lips. Tears pricked the corners of his eyes as he stared at the ceiling. Katsuki was hanging onto every word.

It was now or never

Katsuki got up from his chair and carefully approached the omega.

"Katsuki, what? What are you doing?"

He didn't answer him until he got on his knees. Craning his neck back, he looked up at Deku and took a shaky breath.

"You never deserved this. I took you for granted, Izuku. I took advantage of your heart and your selflessness. I never labeled what we had because I was scared. I'm a coward." His voice started off strong, but towards the middle it started breaking. Deku was staring down at him in shock, but he kept going. "I'm a fucking coward. I thought, I thought if I didn't put a name to it, if I didn't make it real, then it wouldn't hurt when I'd eventually lose you for good."

He took a deep breath. He didn't realize he was crying until his vision blurred. A wounded noise left him. "I'm an idiot! I lied, I lied to you Izuku! I do love you. I love you so fucking much." He was spilling all of it, laying his heart completely bare. "When I came back and you were, you were pregnant, I-! I started going crazy, I lost it. Then Touya, and I just. The thought of someone else loving you, of someone else taking and loving my pup, our pup-! I couldn't stand it."

He scrubbed at his face as he whimpered again. His shoulders shook as he wept. "I wasn't there. I wasn't there for you. I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry, Izuku. I swear, I'm going to spend the rest of my life making it up to you."

"So, please- " Katsuki pleaded, looking into Izuku's eyes. "Please don't be in love with him."

[x]

Bump-bump

"Please don't be in love with him."

Bump-bump

Izuku covered his mouth with both of his hands as he stared down at Kacchan, unblinking.

Was he? Was he in love with Touya?

He was Izuku's best friend's brother. A high school crush. He was a sad memory. Then he became a friend. A close friend. Izuku wasn't stupid. He knew he was attracted to Touya, he admitted it already.

But was he in love with him?

Touya was cigarettes and gasoline, a rush of adrenaline. He's what got your heart racing, windows down as you sped down the interstate at three AM. That type of attraction was addictive.

Was the point of a cigarette though if you didn't have anything to light it with?

Katsuki was the striking match, the smoke that clung to clothes, gunpowder and all other things labeled dangerous. Caution tape held that man together.

There would never be anyone else like Katsuki, but he could say the same about Touya too.

Izuku had a decision to make.

"What if I am?"

Kacchan hung his head, shaking as he cried. Izuku had never seen him like this.

"Kacchan! I don't know! I need time, everything is just so much to deal with right now…" He sighed.

"Stand up, I can't lean down there." Izuku said, pushing some curls out of his eyes. It took Kacchan a few moments but he managed to scramble to his feet. He took the alpha's hands in his.

Looking up at him, Izuku was at a loss of words.

"I'm not," he shook his head and bit his lip. Sighing again, Izuku screwed his eyes shut as he squeezed Kacchan's hands. "I'm not writing you off. I'm not dismissing how you feel. It's just a lot and I need time, okay?" He opened his eyes, looking up at Kacchan. This honestly broke his heart.

"Okay." He said it with a shuddering breath. Squeezing Izuku's hands back, he looked down at Izuku's belly between them. "Is it okay if I stay for a few nights? I just need to be near you."

He took a second to think about it.

What else could possibly go wrong? Everything that could, already did.

"That's fine."

Kacchan nodded. He squeezed Izuku's hands one more time before letting go. "I'm going to get dressed, then go grab my bag out of the car. Maybe we can talk after? About the pup?"

Cradling his belly, Izuku gave Kacchan a small smile. "Yeah, I'd like that."

He watched as Katsuki stepped out of the kitchen and into the living room. Following behind, he went to his bedroom to put clothes on and take a quick shower. Before he went into the bathroom, he grabbed his phone off of his nightstand and unlocked it, his heart in his throat.

Chapter Text

I have to tell you something.

For the last few days while Kacchan was there, it was all Izuku could think about. What did Touya need to tell him? Was it bad? It made his anxiety spike and his scent sour from time to time, setting Kacchan on edge. The alpha waited on him, hand and foot.

It was another week before Izuku managed to slip away from him.

Izuku slid on his shoes and made sure he had his wallet and even his keys to keep up the ruse as he headed towards the door.

"Deku? Where are you going?" Kacchan came out of the kitchen, wiping his hands on a dish towel.

"I have to go meet Iida for lunch." Izuku kept his face turned away from Kacchan. The alpha could always tell when he was lying and he didn't want to hurt him with the knowledge of where he was really going.

"Oh. I was about to cook. Can't Four Eyes come here? I'll make something he'll eat too." Kacchan spoke gruffly, but he could hear the underlying words.

"I'm worried about you. Please don't leave."

"No, it's fine. Uraraka is watching Kaito and Iida wants to go out. I'll text you if I need anything." His voice was almost too monotone, he hoped he just sounded tired.

Before the alpha could protest anymore, Izuku opened the front door and was out of the apartment. As quickly as he could, he made his way down the hallway and into the elevator. He pulled his phone out of the pocket of his leggings and checked his messages. He sent one text.

To Touya 💙

I'll be at your place in

about 15 mins.

See you soon!

He sent the text, stepped off the elevator, and headed out the lobby. As soon as he looked up though, he saw Touya’s white SUV parked by the curb. The passenger window started rolling down and Izuku couldn't help the smile on his face as he held his belly.

Aquí somos los mejores, no te me ajore'

En la pista nos llaman "Los Matadore'

Tú hace' que cualquiera se enamore

Gasolina by Daddy Yankee played over the speakers in Touya's SUV. It was one of Izuku's favorite songs, it's actually the song responsible for putting him into the situation he was in right now if he was being honest with himself. Touya turned down the music as he walked up to the car. Before he could even get there, Touya was leaning over in his seat and pushing the passenger door open for Izuku.

[x]

Touya, you didn't have to pick me up.” Izuku's voice was soft as he pulled himself up into the seat and shut the door. Touya waited to pull fully onto the street only after Izuku buckled, a high schooler’s mistake he'd never make again. He glanced at Izuku's arm which was covered in a black coppertone sleeve. His hand was in a compression glove today too. It must've been a bad pain day.

It was because of him. It was Touya who had been responsible for that situation, the one that nearly cost Izuku his fucking arm. The accident where Touya almost lost everything, the one where Izuku nearly died . He was only fifteen, a sophomore and Touya was a senior.

A party. He had too much to drink

Somebody had brought an 8ball of coke.

He and Izuku weren't dating, they weren't. Touya wouldn't have been caught dead with a dorky sophomore. That's what he told himself everyday just to feel better. He knew how Izuku felt about him, he knew how he felt for that little omega who was freshly presented. Cute and kind, soft-spoken and the prettiest little thing that Touya had ever seen.

Izuku begged him not to drive, they could've called Fuyumi.

Touya didn't want his sister to see him cross-faded.

So he drove.

He shouldn't have.

He really shouldn't have.

“I don't like it when you drive yourself, Bunny. Not with how far along you are with the pup. You know that. Also, from just glancing at your expression, I'd say you planned on walking?” Touya raised an eyebrow, glancing at a now bashful Izuku.

“I need the steps-” The little omega tried to defend himself, twirling a curl around his finger as he covered his smile with the back of his hand.

Warmth filled Touya to his core. He was the one making Izuku smile like that. Not Katsuki.

“-You need the rest, Bunny.” He merged into another lane, using his mirror and blinker. After getting sober, Touya was one of the most cautious drivers in his entire friend group. He didn't even look at his phone at stop lights, it stayed in the middle console unless the car was in park. He had Bluetooth and his phone was connected to his SUV. Any phone calls he needed to answer, he used Siri or his steering wheel.

Addiction could turn you into a monster if you weren't careful, something you'd never thought you'd be. Hurt people, hurt people. But it was a reason, not an excuse.

Touya never wanted to be that guy again.

He'd never be a monster again.

He'd never hurt Izuku again.

Touya gripped the steering wheel a little tighter. “I thought we could just pick up some Luke's, I know you've been on an Italian kick.” He glanced at Izuku, smiled at him. He knew he was made when he felt that delicate hand gently squeeze his thigh.

Touya, don't.” They were at a stop light, the longest one on Izuku's street. “Please look at me. You're not that same-” Izuku's voice was wobbly.

He couldn't. He couldn't look at him. As soon as he did, he'd let it all spill.

“Bunny, I can't. Just-” Touya's voice cracked. “Let's pick up our food. I already ordered it, I'll get you back to my place, you can crawl into the nest you keep there and then we'll talk. I promise you. We will talk, but if I look at you-”

He felt another squeeze on his thigh. Izuku fell silent, but he didn't remove his hand from Touya's leg. It was comforting. He felt his heart breaking. Touya realistically knew he was fighting a losing battle. He saw how Izuku acted that night. How he got over Katsuki. He was so in love with that Alpha.

He wasn't Katsuki. He knew that. He knew he would never be that pup's Sire, but he knew how bad an unstable Sire could affect a kid's life.

I would fucking know.

He would never be unstable in that pup's life. He meant it. He would love that baby, he already does. He loves her so much.

He loves her.

Katsuki Bakugou was an alcoholic, it takes one to fucking know one. He had no business ever trying to raise that little girl until he got his addiction under control, especially after seeing how he acted that night. If the dude is prone to outbursts like that, how is he going to act around a kid? Touya saw all of the videos. He read up on Katsuki’s alcoholism. Heard from people how he hung from the bottle. Touya had his addictions on lock, but he knew he always was one bad day away. He hadn't touched alcohol or a powder or a pill in over two years, nearly a thousand days. He got his chip from Sober Faction through the Temple in less than a month.

Touya would never shame another addict, solely for being an addict, but he'd sure as fuck shame a knot-headed alpha with toxic masculinity.

Oh, he was a tortured alt musician with Sire issues?

Join the fucking club, douchebag.

The one redeeming thing about Katsuki was that he was pretty as fuck. In any other situation, Touya would've taken him to bed. He would’ve fucked that big prime in his den, would've had that prime slicking. Probably could've had him falling in-

But that's not the damn point.

It didn't matter how pretty Katsuki was or how bad Touya found himself wanting him too. He had hurt Izuku. Left him abandoned. He would've known about his little girl had he chosen to actually stay around!

Touya had hurt Izuku, but he made amends. Katsuki hurt Izuku and expected Izuku to keep staying around.

They were not the same.

No fucking way!

No way, am I the same.

It was just one more thing to keep telling himself.

After picking up their takeout, it didn't take long for them to pull into the parking garage of Touya's apartment. He gave his keys to the valet and made his way to the private elevators.

Hey, he had to put that trust fund money to use. His Sire was good for something at least. If Enji was going to be a shitty dad- the least he could do after he croaked was give all of those big fat, trust fund checks to his kids.

Once they were inside, Izuku slipped out of his Vans and basically waddled to his nest room and unknowingly (read: hopefully) the nursery. It was the cutest thing that Touya had seen that day and his home screen on his phone was a dumb snap he had taken with Izuku last month. His own Vans were off in a second and he was following after Izuku like a mated Enigma. Who was he fucking kidding at this point? He was bonded to Izuku.

Fuck, I'm so-

Izuku was happily nesting on the California King floor bed that Touya had installed just for Izuku.

Mate, mate, mate!

MY MATE-

“Why are you standing there, Touya? Get in.” Izuku was pouting up at him. Touya's mouth went completely dry, his eyes going wide. This was the first time Izuku had formally told him to get into his nest. It was always them just cuddling on the couch, or wherever they ended up napping. Touya never got into his nest there. He knew better. He never got into Izuku's nest period

When am I ever going to get this chance again?

He got into the nest, pulling the lap tables sitting on the side to place their takeout on. They both ate mostly in silence, sharing bites of pasta or a sandwich respectfully. When the two of them were finished, Touya gathered their trash together and put it in the waste bin in the corner of the room. While he was standing, he grabbed Izuku, a cold Fiji from the mini fridge too. After unscrewing the cap and handing the drink to Izuku, he crawled back into the nest. Touya let Izuku take a couple of sips and only spoke after Izuku set his drink to the side.

“You know what I'm about to tell you, Izuku. What I'm about to confess to you, I know you know, it's been years in the making.” Touya took a shaky breath, his legs were crossed and his elbow was propped up his knee as he refused to look at Izuku.

Touya could talk a big game. He could be about it all damn day. Yet, as soon as it came to shit like this, Touya was a goddamn coward. “I've loved you since we were just kids in high school, I've been in love with you since my senior year. I fucked up. I will never forgive myself for that accident. You'll never play guitar the same way because of me.”

Izuku looked at him like he was a wounded pup.

But he wasn't

He was a dirty mutt, something definitely that needed to be put down.

Let down, actually. He's going to let me down. I fucking know it.

“I got sober for myself, yeah. I'd be a fucking liar though if I didn't say you had some influence. I'm not Katsuki and I don't pretend to be. He's been your life for what? The past two years? I kept tabs. Even in rehab, I kept tabs. I love you, and I know I'll never be him, but dammit, I-!” Cue the fucking water works. He could feel the telltale signs of him possibly crying. His throat was tight, his vision was starting to blur. He wasn't about to let Izuku see him cry. He wasn't trying to guilt the omega. “-I had to let you know. I had to.”

I love you Izuku Midoriya.” Touya choked out the words like he would die if he didn't say them.

[x]

I love you Izuku Midoriya.”

It was everything a fifteen year old Izuku wanted. Everything a fresh-faced omega wanted, everything a musician with a cast and a shoulder sling who couldn't play his guitar- wanted

Right now, At this moment-

Bump-bump bump-bump bump-bump

It was everything he still wanted.

Izuku reached for his Enigma, moving closer to him while he cupped his face. He smiled softly when Touya's hands moved to steady him. The enigma looked like a deer caught in headlights as Izuku tilted his chin up so he could kiss him. Izuku didn't acknowledge the tears now rolling down Touya's face as they kissed. Suddenly the enigma had moved them around and Izuku was on his back as they kissed. Only kissed.

Izuku couldn't bring himself to have sex with anyone. Not while he carried Kacchan’s pup and Touya wasn't the type to push, enough people looked at him sideways for being an enigma. Touya was so strong, not just physically despite his lean physique. No, his mind always seemed like a fortress that Izuku could never break into.

Now, here they were in their twenties.

Things were finally starting to make sense.

His arms were around Katsuki's neck as they kissed, his belly snug between them. Izuku sighed against Touya's lips

Katsuki-

Wait.

He wasn't kissing Katsuki.

Izuku opened his eyes to see red and platinum eyelashes fluttering. He broke the kiss. God, what was Izuku doing? Why was he doing this?! He couldn't keep doing this to the two of them. Was he a whore? He was such a fucking whore! He couldn't keep stringing the both of them along. He had to get away. Izuku had to get away now.

Keep it together, don't let him see you upset!

“I should probably head home. I have a work-related thing and I need to be in my studio. Gotta finish that song for Toga, you know how it is.” Izuku smiled, holding Touya's face as he looked into those pretty blue eyes. Pretty blue eyes he wouldn't be seeing again. When he got out of here, it was time to pull strings. He wasn't seeing Katsuki anymore either.

Good thing he had connections in LA, he could be out of Chicago in less a day.

He would be out of Chicago.

I'm just going to hurt them.

I should've left two years ago.

Notes:

OH WHOOP!

a lot can happen in a year. Between hospital stays, and COVID, and just being put through the ringer by life, please know if there's any of y'all still reading, I did NOT forget this fic.

I actually have a lot of of things planned for it. Chicago hasn't been going completely untouched don't worry.

So, if you're one for foreshadowing, yes there is some in previous chapters. I'm also a sucker for SONG FICS.

If you did not know by now, Light On In Chicago, is a song fic. Based on the Fall Out Boy song, Chicago Is So Two Years Ago.

Did I lie about the bakudeku ending? I did not! But Touya grew into something more and more and now I cannot see him without the two. So if this completely ruins the fic for you die hard BKDKs, I apologize in advance, but I have other a/b/o fics that are just BKDK.

At the end of day, I write for myself and I share it with y'all because I love to create. Fandom and fanfiction has been my saving grace, many a time.

As always, thank you for reading, I hope to be updating regularly again soon!

Chapter Text

When Touya dropped him off, he waited until he saw his SUV to pull away completely before he turned in the opposite direction. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and scrolled through his contact list until he found the number he was looking for.

“Izuku? You haven't called since I offered you that-”

“I'll take it. Anything to get me out of Chicago, next flight out of here. I need to leave this city today, Keigo.”

“I can't say having you out here wouldn't be awesome, but take a second and think, dude. You're about to have a baby. Can you even fly in the trimester you're in?”

Izuku took a deep breath and rubbed the bridge of his nose. He felt a kick near his hip.

“I just started my third trimester this week, I'm twenty eight weeks. I can fly-”

“I just don't think that's the safest or smartest decision, Izuku. If you still want to come work at the label after you have pup, that's fine. I'm not telling you no, just not right now. If there's anything else I can do for you let me know.”

Izuku said his goodbyes to Keigo and hung up the phone. He sighed deeply through his nose, shifting his weight on his feet. He was running out of options. What was he going to do?

Scrolling through his contacts again, he called Shigaraki. If he were to call anyone from his pack, he was sure they'd rat him out to Katsuki. While Shigaraki was friends with Touya, Izuku was confident in believing that his client wouldn't tell Touya where he was. Besides, after bailing him out that one night, Shiggy owed him.

Groggily Shigaraki answered after the fifth ring.

“Izuku whaddya want it's early-”

“It's the middle of the day, Shiggy. Don't start with me. I'm calling in that favor you owe me.” Izuku said, gritting his teeth. He waddled over to a cafe where he could grab a snack and a non caffeinated drink.

“Shit did you kill a bitch?!” Rustling was heard on the other end of the phone like Shigaraki was rushing to get out of bed.

“No, Shiggy. I did not kill anyone. I just need a place to lay low for a while. I'm trying to avoid Katsuki and Touya for the foreseeable future.”

Say fuckin’ less.”

They spoke a little more before Izuku hung up. Shigaraki would be picking him up at the cafe and from there they'd go out and buy everything that Izuku would need to stay over.

After grabbing a cookie and a smoothie from the cafe, Izuku found a comfortable corner seat to wait on Shigaraki. His phone started ringing.

Kacchan

What did he do? Did he just ignore the call? Did he answer?

With his hand shaking he declined the call and texted him instead.

To Kacchan ❤️

Sorry, decided to

catch a movie with

Tenya, probably gonna

stay over! Talk later

Kacchan ❤️

Okay. Just

let me know.

With his heart hammering in his chest, Izuku took little bites of his cookie, still kinda full from the lunch he had with Touya. He tried not to let his mind race, trying to be mindful of his stress and blood pressure. So many things were going wrong. Technically, yeah, he could kick Kacchan out of his apartment, but in all actuality he didn't want Kacchan to smell Touya all over him. He didn't want to see the look on Katsuki’s face when Izuku finally had to answer that question.

Izuku loved them both.

But he couldn't have them both! He couldn't

It wasn't like he could expect them to live together. Touya and Katsuki hated each other. They could barely spend five minutes together in a room without posturing and screaming at each other. Izuku wasn't about to bring his pup into the middle of all of that. Izuku let himself daydream, just to find some semblance of comfort.

A happy apartment, toys strewn across the living room floor. Laughter filled the room as Izuku played with a five year old girl. Katsuki in the kitchen, a baby sling attached to his chest as he cleans up from a late breakfast. Touya sliding in to step behind Katsuki, to place a kiss Katsuki's scruff right where his mark is.

Yeah, as if that would ever happen.

That's where Shigaraki found him, with the crumbs of the cookie on his shirt and the half finished smoothie in his hand. His friend helped him out of his chair and out into his car. The car ride was mostly silent until they got to the shops they needed to. Shigaraki was an Omega too, so he had some sympathy for Izuku’s situation. He helped him pick out some new clothes, new nest materials, and helped him reach toiletries that were on a top shelf.

Shigaraki stopped in front of a bassinet, head tilted slightly to the side. Izuku pushed the cart around the corner, not expecting to find Shigaraki in the baby section of the store.

“You said for the ‘foreseeable future’. You're already looking like you're about to pop, Greenie. I say you let me get you a bassinet and we'll call it even for me missing your pup shower.” Shigaraki was already grabbing a boxed up one and setting it on the lower part of the cart before Izuku could even begin to protest.

“Shiggy, are you sure?” Izuku's voice was strained, he could feel the tears welling up in his eyes as he looked at his unlikely friend.

Hey.” Shigaraki snapped gently, squeezing his arm. “We're a pair of independent omegas who don't need any enigmas or alphas if we don't want them, okay? Let me help with the pup.”

Izuku could only smile at the determined look on Shigaraki’s face as the tears finally slipped down his freckled cheeks. He knew things would be okay, but for the time being, looks like he was crying in the middle of a fucking Walmart.

[x]

When Deku didn't come home that night, Katsuki couldn't stop calling. He didn’t stop calling and texting Deku’s phone until after he was blocked when Deku finally answered him on the third day with no contact.

“I need space Katsuki. I need to just disappear for a while. Don't look for me, I told the same thing to Touya.” The line went dead while Katsuki was trying to plead with Deku to just tell him where he was. Katsuki let out a choked sob. He stumbled down the hallway of the apartment and let his phone clatter from his hand onto the plush carpet of a room he hadn't dared yet to enter.

His little girl's nursery.

The walls were painted a pastel pink, and the room had rose gold and sage green accents. Everything was done so tastefully. So much thought and care had been put into that room. There was a little pair of black converse sitting on the dresser that grabbed Katsuki's attention, but it's what was folded underneath the converse that caused Katsuki to absolutely lose it.

It was a little Renegades onesie made to look like a tour date shirt.

Katsuki picked it up with shaking hands and scented it, getting a whiff of Izuku. He could only cry harder as he stumbled backwards and eventually curled up in the plush gray rocking chair. He clung to the onesie like it was his lifeline. The only thing keeping him anchored. It hit him all then like an atomic bomb. He was a Sire. He was going to be a father.

Now Deku was what? Taking his pup away completely, what was he supposed to do now, fight for custody? They weren't even mated! It wouldn't hold up in court! He was pulled away from his spiral by knocking at the door. He was going to ignore it but it just wouldn't quit. He got up from the chair, the onesie falling from his hand and barreled down the hallway, anger and sorrow pouring out of his scent as he jerked the front door open.

Suddenly Touya was shoving him into the apartment and kicking the door shut with his foot. “You! What did you do to Izuku?!” Touya shoved him against the wall. His eyes were red rimmed like he had been crying and he smelled like a desperate mate, though that was impossible with his bare neck and markless scent glands.

Katsuki had little to no fight in him, his neck just rolled to the side in submission. “I didn't do anything. He left. Deku left me.” He mumbled, tears stinging at the corners of his eyes.

“What?” Touya’s grip in his shirt collar tightened. Fierce crimson snapped up to meet to electric cerulean as Katsuki took a breath and barked out at him.

“You finally got what you fucking wanted Touya! He's left me-” Katsuki's voice was pitiful and filled with tears.

“-you honestly think I wanted this you, asshole?!” Touya shoved Katsuki a little harder against the wall, his own tears slipping down his cheeks. He snarled, “You think I prefer this? Not knowing where the fuck he is, if he's okay, if the pup's okay-” He started to tremble, knuckles turning white from the grip he had, “I'm going crazy.” And for a brief moment the man almost looked… lost?

“You're going crazy?! That’s MY PUP!” Katsuki growled, baring his teeth. The room filled with the scent of pissed off alpha.

Rage swelled on the enigma’s face, his cheeks starting to turn red from the exertion. “Your pup? Then where the fuck have you been these last seven months?! Bar crawling after shows, and getting high backstage when you should've been at ultrasound appointments or helping him plan his pup shower with his pack! Yeah! I kept tabs on your little band, you fuckin’ prick.” Touya snapped right back. He was holding Katsuki against the wall at this point, their bodies pressed hotly together.

“Well, that was pretty fucking stalkery of you.” Scoffing Katsuki looked away, hoping to break the tension and hopefully not address all his wrong doings while on tour. “Why do you know all that shit anyway?”

His eyes trailed away, thinking, “I figured out day one since you're the sire, I'm not gonna be able to get rid of you, so I might as well keep fucking track of you and get used to idea of having some form of you around on the chance that me and Izuku did end up together.” Touya said completely nonchalantly, his pheromones starting to fill the room in almost overwhelming waves. Enigmas were powerful, overbearing. Touya was no exception. The scent of charcoal and petrichor, fire and a storm.

The scent hit Katsuki like a Louisville slugger to the gut. His eyes were blown wide and suddenly he was all too aware of how close he was pressed against Touya. He panted out his next breath. “Get the fuck off of me.” He was clenching his fists, his nails almost drawing blood from his palms. He trembled slightly. Was it in anger? Or was it that scent?

Touya glared and leaned in closer, getting a little whiff of Katsuki's neck. Touya growled but it sounded close to a groan. Katsuki froze, mouth going dry as he felt his cock twitch in his pants. Warmth flooded his upper body with every breath, heart pounding. That was new.

Fuck, when was the last time I got laid? Oh wait… Katsuki had never felt so… small before.

Touya made Katsuki lose his train of thought with a deep inhale and suddenly he was grinning like the cat that got the cream. He cast his eyes down to Katsuki's boner and couldn't help but press their hips together, pulling a hiss from Katsuki. “Sure you don't want me to get you off instead?” He purred, a mirthful teasing tone set to his siren like voice.

Katsuki was full on thrashing against him now, growling deep in his throat as tears of hot shame beaded down his cheeks. He didn't know why he always got this way around Touya. But the enigma made him so fucking emotional. It was pathetic

Letting go, Touya lifted his hands in surrender and backed up until he hit the other hallway wall. He silently stared at Katsuki.

“Look, Katsuki I’m sorry I-”

He didn't get to finish his apology. Katsuki was too busy pulling him in for a kiss. Touya pulled away for a second to stare, there was this look in his eye, like Touya was getting everything he wanted. Touya passionately started kissing Katsuki back as he walked him backwards towards a bedroom and delicately helped Katsuki strip before stripping down to his own underwear.

Katsuki's back hit the bed and he gasped.

Fuck! This was so-!

“Touya, wait-!” Katsuki's voice was breathless as Touya placed hot open mouth kisses against Katsuki's neck. “Are we really going to fucking do this?” Katsuki's hands were in his hair, tugging on the white and black strands.

“Only if you want to, firework.”

And for the first time in four days, when Touya called him that, Katsuki wasn't solely focused on Izuku. It was like something was shifting inside him as his stomach swooped. He stared into Touya’s too blue eyes and let out a shuddering breath. He never thought he'd want to let Deku into his heart, let alone Touya. That's when he felt it. Slick dripping his thighs. Alphas didn't slick. Not unless they fully submitted themself to an enigma.

He watched as the scent hit Touya, his eyes blowing dark in lust. Touya gathered some up in his fingers and brought it to his lips and sucked.

“Fuck you taste like caramel, how's it possible for an alpha to taste so sweet? I'm gonna fuckin’ devour you.” Touya chuckled darkly.

Suddenly Katsuki's legs were pressed to his chest and a mix between a whine and groan was pulled out of him. An embarrassed flush covered his face and chest in a delicious red.

I'm in trouble.
