Origins of The Batter

Summary:

How did Batter come to be? Hugo mentioned that he had a father and Mortis Ghost said Batter wasn't Hugo's father... but what if he was in a way?

In short, I made this thing, it's really short, I might add on it but I don't really know. May as well update this account with something while I try and force myself to finish what I started with other fics.

Notes:

This is simply a self indulgent fic, I really love OFF as a whole and I'm trying to work on fics that make me happy, I needed a break from My Hero content, but I'm not through with it, I think I simply need a break from it y'know?

So if you like this and want more, I might consider it! I'm just really really slow and needed to get something out for the sake of my sanity.

‘Father’ ruled alongside the queen, he was no royal though, his only duty was to protect and care for Hugo, the son that brought them into the world.

When Hugo falls sick, ‘Father’ gave him medicine and comic books, but Hugo only wanted his mother, something ‘Father’ could not provide, as she set her sights on creating a new world with the three guardians. Anytime ‘Father’ want to speak to the queen, to inform her that Hugo needed them.. he was turned away and told not to disturb her very important work…

Little by little, as the world continued to be made, ‘Father’ noticed Hugo get sicker and sicker… he could no longer help.. so he gave Hugo a chance to play outside, they played baseball and played on a padallo. ‘Father’ made sure Hugo had lots of fun… before he left in search of a way to cure his ‘son’ of his illness.

As he traveled, he learned more and more about the effects that the queen’s ‘perfect empire’ had on its people and the world around them… So… impure… it had ‘Father’ thinking about Hugo…. He had made them… perhaps due to the Queen taking the boy’s world into her own hands, it caused Hugo to be sick..

Such information… it infuriated ‘Father’ He lost his mind and picked up an iron bat, swinging and hitting anything and anyone in his path, this land… these people… these zones! None of it should exist! It was hurting their creator! Of course, the queen and her guardians didn’t take kindly to his attacks and sought to fight him as well. They berated him and said he failed in his tasks to protect Hugo, of course he fired back at them for their selfish use of land that wasn’t theirs..

‘Father’ soon was killed, deemed ‘corrupted’ by the others… there he floated within the nothingness.. he heard the voice of his creator… of dear Hugo.

“Oh dear…. Lets see..” Hugo coughed harshly. “I made him not strong enough… he’ll fix this… I know he will…”

‘Father’ didn’t know what Hugo had planned for him… he had faith though… that the boy knew what to do to fix things… so he relaxed.. and let the nothingness cradle him gently. Letting Hugo reshape and mould him into something strong… something powerful…

‘Father’ was gone… and when he opened his eyes, he knew who he was…

That’s where you came in dear player…
