all these bright things

When the wind blows through the leaves
Children perch upon the trees
Peering through the window panes
While the ghosts are tucked away.

When the day is calm and still
And the Dark rests on the sill
Tiny ghosts come out to roam
While the children rest at home.

When the stars are twinkling bright
And the moon shines through the night
Ghosts and children gather round
Laughter such a joyous sound.

Notes:

The title is from the poem I OPEN MY POEM by Gabriel Rosenstock, translated by Paddy Bushe.
