Chapter Text
in this kingdom where good and bad were stuck in a crooked equilibrium, it was hard to believe that mere humans, usually weak and afraid, reigned over the creatures of the night who bore bloodthirsty fangs. it seemed unlikely that a hopeful miracle would be born out of wishful thinking, but still, it was granted.
cruel beings that they were, rivaling up to even the ruler of the underworld himself, humans had decided to enslave the defeated vampires. their greatest threats were to abuse of their weaknesses and of an exchange for their lifeforce, a most wonderful delicacy for those fanged creatures: blood.
all to keep those monsters at their every beck and call.
and following the traditions of the royal family, every belonging member was to be gifted with a vampire at their coming-of-age ceremony for whatever they may need them for, whether it be a servant or even a bodyguard.
all the terms of their contract were to be discussed between the two parties, although it was usually forced upon those fangs bearers. following that, the nobles usually treated those wicked creatures as slaves, rather than beings of equal status.
thus came the youngest prince of the current ruling family, being subjected to an early attempt of assassination at his life of sixteen years by what seemed to be a group of those rogue beings unwilling to bend their wills for the humans. having survived, he was later able to choose which vampire of the forcefully trained many he wanted to own for the gift of his eighteenth birthday.
but rather than those within his choices, the young prince's pick was the captured assassin who had tried to take him out two years ago, acting on orders. truly a wanted beauty, he was a vampire bearing silver hair with the hue of the moon and golden eyes that turned into the most alluring shade of scarlet whenever tempted by blood.
he was the one he desired to own. his pet, his slave, his property.
and in return, in their pact, the vampire was only able to taste the blood of his master, the ruthless young prince.
in an early morning where light seeped through the flowing translucent curtains, what woke him up from the land of dreams was a striking pain on his neck. his eyelids fluttered open unwillingly, revealing irises of a deep brown under messy strands of an ebony shade.
with an extra weight settled on his back, his legs were straddled by an unknown force and he was unable to move them even if he wanted them to. although he could not see, a hunch of what was happening to him crossed his mind as he felt warm liquid slide down the smooth contour of his neck, possibly staining the sheets of his grand bed. within his peripheral view, he could make out the blurry sight of silver hair, even feeling them tickle his jaw.
and he was about to move his body in order to lay his back on the bed, but a hand flew out to firmly grip onto his shoulder to keep him in his current position. the substance, its metallic scent prominent in his room, still dripped down, tracing his naked skin, and he was sure his sleepwear was no longer a pure shade of ivory, instead decorated by unfamiliar patches.
his breathing became ragged as it continued, realising late that his blood was being taken into the mouth of another, feeling what he assumed to be a tongue prod at his neck where the skin broke to spill. the other person had their fangs sink even further into him, as if it was anymore possible, and his own feline eyes regained the clarity of an awake human. at the same time, a short gasp escaped past his lips from the increased intensity of the unexpected bite and his hand trembled as it reached up to card his fingers through the pale strands that did not belong to him.
a low preen resonated within the empty room as he kept brushing the other's hair, even without seeing his face. he knew who it was anyway― there was only one person who would bite him even when he was not yet awake.
whines sounded out from his parted lips as he felt his collarbones up to his neck being licked clean from the crimson liquid, a single drop not to be wasted.
"good morning, hyung." his voice was raspy, low and heavily tinted from sleep, despite his mind being shook awake with that bite.
he turned his head the best he could in his fixed position, gaze aiming to meet that pair of eyes bearing bright and gleaming crimson rings. they were wide, but not from shock or anything relative to surprise. rather, it looked like the cause of it was due to his being high on his blood. its scent was already so tempting, what could he have done other than greedily drink it when its taste was so sweet― so sublime.
the vampire could not get enough of it― of that addictive flavour. how fortunate was he to serve under this human whose life essence was the best he had ever drank in his long life?
the soft glow of the morning star contouring his silhouette, he leaned against the pale hand threading through his hair before caressing it with his hand. "jungwonie," after bringing it to cup his cheek, the nightly creature pressed a chaste kiss on the inside of his hand, on the palm of it. "good morning."
his voice was as silvery as his hair, the tone soft and low to match the morning's atmosphere. other than their words floating aimlessly in the air, it was quiet in his room.
the previously sleeping boy― his name, jungwon― smiled coyly at the act. his smile, saccharine sweet, seemed just too sugary for it to be sincere. and if the vampire knew about it, he did not speak a word about it.
given, the younger enjoyed that kiss to his hand― it was lovely and endearing, if he was to be honest―, so he let his fingers roam the other's face, feeling his smooth and unblemished skin.
their eyes never left each other's, stares full of faux adoration and of knowing submission respectively. that last one did not escape jungwon as a condescending smirk graced his cat-like features, a dimple appearing prominently on his cheek.
at least this vampire of his knew of his place before him. he was personally trained after all.
when his thin fingers reached up to the other's pale coloured hair in a strained position from where he laid on his bed, his hands grasped at the strands in a quick motion, barely registering the short gasp that left the night creature's mouth, and he just― pulled, and he pulled hard.
considering that he was a vampire, he probably would not feel the pain no matter how strongly a human would hit him, but still, jungwon still relished sadistically in the whimpers he heard from the other.
now pushing him down from his antecedent action, the youngest of the two sat up from his previously laid down position as he held the vampire up who was still recovering from that surprise attack.
"biting without permission, hm?" harshly, he gripped his chin, his fierce and cold gaze looking into those eyes that wavered in his presence and longed to please him. its colour was of a red hue even more magnificent and enticing than that of the most valuable rubies their kingdom owned. "don't you think i ought to put you back at your rightful place?"
his tone was severe and strict, laced with the most biting coldness yet still retaining that little hint of warmth underneath his words. although displeased he was woken up in such an unexpected and barbaric way, jungwon could not deny it― and he knew that his vampire knew from the quickening rhythm of his heartbeat.
he absolutely enjoyed being bitten by him. it was a wonderful and exhilarating feeling. the acceleration of his pulse from the fear and excitement coursing through his veins, the way his blood rushed so eagerly into the awaiting mouth of the other and ready to stain his lips even redder, the intimacy of trusting his vampire with such confidence that his puny human life would be decided by those glowing white fangs.
even despite knowing that the older would never take too much to endanger him, it was still a thrilling experience. maybe he did like living on the edge of a cliff.
jungwon tried to direct the other's flickering gaze onto him, but it seemed too entranced by what seemed to have captured his attention instead. it was then that he realised the slowly growing buds of red flowers on his neck, the thick substance not affected enough by the coagulating effect of the saliva. just to play with his vampire, his head tilted with a painful speed to the side, thus baring his naked skin where two beads of blood, a shine plastered onto them from the reflected light, stood proudly.
his hand returned to caress the soft cheek of the older, thumb rubbing at it carefully. "starving still, are you?" he murmured those words more out of an observation of his rather than as a question, but the vampire nodded shortly as if it was meant for him. he hummed in response, fingers threading dangerously close to the pair of parted lips stained by his apparently delicious blood.
due to his arm being stretched towards the other's face, the sleeve of his sleepwear from that same limb slipped off of his shoulder. it was oversized on him, seeing as it technically did not belong to his grand wardrobe, but that mattered not to him.
instead, the only thing jungwon could then focus after his shoulder was now exposed (it was on the same side as the bite) was how adorable and pathetic the low whines his vampire had made after gulping sharply at the sight of more skin― for him to sink his fangs down into.
lost in his head filled with only the want, the avarice, the lust for more blood to devour, the creature of the night harshly gripped into both shoulders of who he served, although careful as to not wound him. in return, the dark haired boy merely allowed him to do so, indulging the other in his antics because he knew that they would both enjoy what was to come.
the hand that held onto the bare shoulder burned at his skin, despite the fingers bearing coldness at its tips. yet the contrasting temperatures just felt so good already that he could hardly wait for two new punctures to appear on his neck.
jungwon pulled the other closer with a hand gently gripping his nape, all the while massaging at the same time. there was little space between their bodies now, and the younger shivered slightly when he felt lips brush by the surface of his exposed neck. he could feel those glowing red eyes stare intently where the previous bite was, wanting nothing more but to add another mark.
silver hair tickling the other's jaw, the vampire trembled in his haze with his mouth just barely hovering above the neck. his grip on the younger tightened against his will and he had a small thought running across his head hoping that it was not enough to harm him, even if he would look absolutely tantalising and ravishing with blood splattered across his whole body and dying all his expensive suits red.
breathy chuckles rang in his ears as he realised jungwon did not seem to mind his strong hold on him, instead pleased with the force he gave, if the vampire were to refer to his heartbeat.
his voice, its timbre attractive and low, soon made itself heard as a whisper. "sunghoon hyung." it paused, an amused smile heard in its tone. "what ever are you not biting me yet for, creature of the night?"
the vampire― sunghoon― could only shiver despite not feeling the invisible change in temperature. his mind felt fuzzy but at least he was sober enough to reply to the other who so dearly asked him a question with an awaiting answer.
"i- i require..." he licked his lips, tasting the metallic residue of that delectable blood, before continuing. "your permission before i do so, my prince."
jungwon pat the back of his head in response, clearly content with his provided words. he tugged on a few strands just for fun, causing the older in his lap to let out a short gasp. "then ask."
he was so so desperate. "may i please-" his hands failed to properly hold onto those shoulders, wide crimson eyes too fixated on the bare skin. his form was shaking from the lack of his blood and his prince merely laughed at his misery. "please- suck your blood?"
truly desperate that he resigned to such a vulgar word. it was almost funny if the younger was not so eager as well in craving the same thing.
"go ahead, pet." the word was condescending, but his tone― it was warm and loving, as if endeared and enamoured by the hungry vampire.
this contract of theirs was definitely not just one of master and slave. it held so much more depth in their exclusive relationship.
even with his allowance, sunghoon could not bare to let himself bite down just yet. he wanted to savour this moment as if it was his last feast.
scarlet eyes zeroing down onto the broad expanse of skin where not the slightest blemish would be found, if not for his own markings. the invisible wisps of his breath in the air making contact with bare skin and causing the other body to shiver from the unexpected and unnecessary breathing. fangs that prolonged inside his mouth just painfully aching to finally bite down into flesh and rid it of blood, even if he knew he was not allowed to do so despite both of their wants.
his eyes closed as his lips parted to show his fangs, ready to strike, preening at the soft and gentle motions of a hand rubbing at his nape and playing with his hair.
it was reassurance and confidence, trust and faith, but mostly love.
slowly opening them, his eyes of a crimson shade like the bleeding sun held a gaze so fond it melted like sugar in a warm mouth. sunghoon could not help himself from pressing a few kisses on the naked skin, adoring how the blood within rushed so eagerly at the surface but never spilling into the inside of his mouth.
the vampire felt like he was stuck under a spell that only jungwon could curse him with. it felt like heaven to play with the sinful embodiment of his temptation.
with a last kiss on the corner of the other's lips in which he relished the small hitch in his breathing from it, the vampire tongued on the area where he wished to drink from, alerting his human about his intentions.
then, with no other preemptive notice, sunghoon had his fangs bite down into his prince's bare neck and relished in the following hiss of pain from the younger.
it soon subsided to leave room for sparks of pleasure simmering underneath jungwon's skin, heat boiling all over his body. it oddly felt wrong to allow himself to be bitten so early in the morning, when the sun had barely risen, but he somehow could not help himself wanting more.
feeling the blood in his veins leave his system, his head felt fuzzy and as if it was stuffed with cotton. it was so easy to get addicted to this feeling, he thought as his hands gripped at the other who let out muffled groans, teeth still impaled on his neck.
the vampire's hand― the one that was not grabbing at his shoulder the side where he bit― angled his head further from the shoulder juncture so as to better access the vein and drink more comfortably.
the prince really could not stop the soft sounds that seeped past his parted lips, eyes hazy and foggy, unfocused.
it was not long before jungwon felt the fangs retract from his neck, the blood pooling around the two punctures larger than his previous ones. he sighed contentedly at the kitten licks at his wounds, the vampire mouthing at the thick substance to get more before it started to clot and coagulate.
"have i satiated your hunger, love?" the younger breathed out shakily, almost akin to purrs. his neck was so cold enough that it felt like a burning sensation― albeit pleasantly melting his nerves. his hands numbly clutched at sunghoon's silk shirt as he tried to focus on those eyes so red it almost seemed like he was falling into a bloodied ocean, unending and vast.
heart as quenched as his thirst, the vampire held the soft cheeks of his prince, finding him endearing from how he relaxed in his hold. shuffling closer, their noses brushed against each other's and so did their strands of opposing shades.
"yes, my rose." with a murmur of gratitude as quiet as flower petals falling to the ground, the silver haired boy leaned closer and let their foreheads touch so gently. "thank you."
still keeping that glow akin to ruby gems, half-lidded eyes closed with a soft flutter and allowed his lips to touch the other pair. the remaining drops of blood that stayed at his mouth smeared itself onto jungwon's own.
a prince with a cruel image to his people looked far better with crimson staining him than without. said noble smiled at their near-kiss knowing the vampire could feel it.
"kiss me properly, won't you?" the sound barely came from his throat, bordering between noise and whisper. it seemed fragile but sunghoon knew better than to believe that it was easily breakable.
he let their lips press against each other's firmly, both pairs of eyes shutting close at their proximity. the open window made the curtains fly with a cool breeze, shivers racking through their thinly clothed bodies. the one hand that was not cupping jungwon's dimpled cheek held his own weight, the fingers intertwined with the younger's own above the now wrinkled sheets.
the creature of the night tasted of his own blood, its flavour metallic and unappealing to his taste buds. still, he leaned away not from the other that angled his head however he preferred to kiss him in.
they relished in each other's essence during the rise of the sun, uncharacteristic of the cold image the prince has in front of his people and of the vampire forced to belong to the former.
at the warm rays of the morning star shining down on their silhouettes, both sunghoon and jungwon could not get enough of each other.
a contracted couple based on trust and faith that they were, defying all rumours of master and slave.
because what differentiated them from others in a similar contract was the presence of love, mutual from both parties.
the earlier quiet that accompanied the couple was now shattered upon leaving the prince's room, distant noises of his family members and their servants heard from all over the palace. as jungwon― now freshly cleaned up and dressed neatly― walked down the hallways and staircases with no hesitation, his moonlit vampire trailing his footsteps, as silent as a shadow with luminescence.
heads of others from social statuses lower than his own bowed at his presence, eyes never meeting his own either. such was how members of the royal family were to be treated by their servants.
but the young prince paid them no mind, staying true to the facade he had created for himself when seen in public. instead, he only beckoned sunghoon closer to him, as a means of threat and safety. in his peripheral view, laid on the polished marble floor, the looming shadow beside his own gave him a tighter sense of security.
jungwon let his feet take him to his destination, heels clicking against the floor while his vampire followed him, the sound unheard.
the wooden doors leading to the dining room opened immediately at his arrival, the two servants stationed there having expected him. the prince entered with eyes void of warmth or friendliness as he scrutinised who else was presently at the table.
"father, mother." he barely acknowledged them (only one between them shared his blood) as he walked towards his rightful seat, across his brother. he let sunghoon push the chair forward as he sat down on it, before the silver haired boy stood behind with eyes lowered in respect. "heeseung hyung."
"jungwonie." while his parental figures responded not, his older sibling did. it was so like him, all respectful and endearing with his small smile that made him look so polite and lovely that the younger of the two could not help but reciprocate his smile. although not as wide, the cat-like boy sent him a simper with eyes so fond it melted the ice within.
it could not be helped. everyone was weak for the kindness heeseung bore― even his image as the ruthless cruel prince.
a tray of his morning meal was then placed in front of him as he looked around the room. aside from the oldest prince who granted the most freedom to his, they all had their vampire slaves stationed behind their respective seats.
remembering his royal etiquette, jungwon was about to start eating until a strict voice resounded in the otherwise silent room.
"jungwon."
his features returned to its impassive state, noticing from his peripheral view that heeseung looked warily between him and his mother that spoke. waiting for her to continue, he returned his utensils to their previous positions on the draped table.
"mind your manners and correctly address us by our titles." she sounded uninterested and stoic, if only to educate him about their traditions. "i can only tolerate it here, but be wary around other nobility."
he sighed internally, shooting a short reassuring glance at his brother who was worriedly looking at him. "of course. forgive me."
his attention returned to his plate bearing pancakes done with meticulous details (he almost felt bad eating it but decided it to be an insult to the chef if he were not to).
titles were to go with their names, as if to judge how worthy they were of the crown. they were given to each of the royal family at their coming-of-age ceremony, sometimes before. such was the case for himself.
his thoughts wandered to what was associated with each member of his family. his parents possessed those of the celestial bodies found within the vast unending sky― the morning eye and the night crescent, respectively to represent their high statuses in the country's shared hierarchy.
while heeseung shared a similar theme― his own being heaven's star as a recognition of his kindness, endless yet still moderately given―, jungwon's nickname, to go along his prince status, steered away from the galaxy ones.
at the window faraway from where he sat at the clothed table, he perceived parts of the floral garden whose vined arches he liked to walk under. and when his feline eyes returned to the quiet dining table where a vase of flowers decorated it, he took notice of a single petal, having fallen.
a pale hand behind him removed it without his having to command it, an unnoticing lazy smirk gracing his features. dark eyes peered at the flower that just lost a petal.
a single thorned rose, among all the others thornless sitting in the intricately painted vase. they were all slowly withering aside from that one.
jungwon took a bite out of his pancakes and felt his neck throb numbly at where the bite mark was underneath his suit. golden eyes followed his every movement and he thrived in the attention, a grin playing at his lips.
how cute of sunghoon.
"jungwonie, have you seen jay?"
his head veered towards his brother who he let enter after knocking. with a hand to hold his weight on the back, he was sitting on the edge of his enormous bed. at his side, however, was his loving vampire laying his head down on his lap. at his own discretion, the prince ran his fingers through the silver strands― its hue a prettier shade than that of the moon.
with the sunlight streaming through the windows― the curtains parted and tied away to the side―, sunghoon looked absolutely ethereal and no less of a heaven-sent angel with his appearance. anyone would be convinced that he belonged to that race, instead to that of an undead creature of the night.
even with someone else in their confines of safety― where they both could properly show affection to each other without fearing anyone finding out (because only the deities above would know what would happen to two lovers belonging to different races)―, the vampire moved not a single centimeter from his position, although his eyelids did flutter open to show innocent sparks playing within his eyes that replicated the hues of the marigolds in the garden.
to jungwon, the older always looked like his favourite flowers. because it kept changing to however and whatever he viewed him as. as of this moment, it appeared to be marigolds― of a love so pretty, sacred and affectionate, yet also of cruelty in it, despair and jealousy.
"... am i bothering you?" with a tone so deadpan yet concerned, it seemed that heeseung broke the silence that stretched on for too long― one that his younger brother utilised to admire the beauty of his vampire.
"forgive me." his own pair of eyes, inside swirling a warm ebony colour, averted from sunghoon who sat up from his lap, stretching his numb limbs. immediately, the prince missed the familiar pressure on his thighs. "what were you saying?"
"i asked if you've seen jay." the vampire perked up at the mention of his friend, and jungwon found him to be adorable.
"i haven't." he tilted his head curiously, eyes silently asking if the fanged creature had, to which he shook his head a negative answer. his attention went back to his older brother. "may i ask why?"
"he meant to return to my side today but i found no sign of him." heeseung explained, eyebrows furrowed and his legs restless, as he easily travelled the length of his room― from standing in front of the closed door to sitting down gracefully on a cushioned armchair near the bed.
he was worried and anxious, if the younger was to judge by his tone and body language. sunghoon shuffled closer to him, interlocking their hands together.
in consequence, jungwon took it upon himself to cheer his family member up. "perhaps he may be organising something for you. like a present or such." he let a teasing grin overtake his feline features before continuing in a purr. "since you both like each other so much."
he watched, amused, as the older coughed into his fist, ears red at his words yet still looking as regal as ever. to any other regular person, the oldest prince would look unbothered and unfazed by the quip, but as his family, the younger knew he was rather taken-aback and embarrassed.
"you're both not subtle." the cat-like boy added, melting into the embrace done from behind him. his lovely vampire had lifted his master onto his lap and wrapped his arms possessively around his thinly clothed waist, chin resting on his shoulder juncture and lightly massaging the area.
the prince whom he served was truly so tiny in terms of appearance and size, but it balanced out with his intimidating aura and fearful presence that surrounded his nobility wherever he went. it also technically did not help that sunghoon himself usually followed him from behind with silent graceful steps.
lowly humming, jungwon brought his hand to give a few pets to the head of the nightly creature, fingers streaming through pale reflective strands. they stayed for a short moment on his hair before moving down to play with his hands, devastatingly larger than his own, and slipping on and off his many rings that were not a metal lethal to his well-being.
and as heeseung took in the irony in his words contrasting to his little brother's intimate position, he stared at the two with an unamused pair of dark eyes, its shade similar to the human's. "neither are you both, so it seems."
but he already knew of their loyal status, each commitment faithful to the core, to their hearts.
in return, the young prince smirked, accentuating further the felinity in his eyes. his stretched lips looked rather inviting to sunghoon, but he did not act on his urges because of the extra presence.
"only when there's no one else around."
crouched down in a delicate manner was jungwon, his hand stretched out to gently hold a rose, its colour the purest shade of snow against the forest green thorns that threatened to prick his fingers.
oh how they resembled each other, he thought, standing at the side silently, observing like he always did.
sunghoon liked to watch him admire the flowers in the garden. his prince looked more youthful and rid of all the early maturity he never was supposed to carry.
true to his royal title, the human really did seem like a rose in all of its floral glory. dimpled cheeks as soft and dainty as the falling petals that he almost looked as kind. dark eyes so sharp with a scheming gleam that one would turn away from its intensity yet still want to meet. his visual beauty unmatched to even the most fairest vampire existing in the kingdom.
if jungwon was a rose to be untouched with his petals not to be plucked out, then the fanged creature belonging to him was surely the uncut thorns of the flower. as a mere servant― his possession, his pet, all his― living to only obey, it was only logical for him to do all the dirty deeds in place of the prince.
whatever the younger boy wished for, sunghoon would grant it, serving it on a silver platter whether it be bouquets of his favourite flowers― most often those with petals that bear the same colour as the older's eyes― or a bloody decapitated head, both freshly picked.
he was an enigma that the vampire tried to solve. the latter could not fathom any sane possible reason as to why he― an assassin hired to take out his presence― out of all the other creatures would be chosen to be the other's slave, per traditions. he was glad though, that thus was the case.
serving jungwon has been nothing but a joy to his life and his only regret was fighting against the prince at the beginning of their paired relationship.
golden eyes stared fondly at the petite figure of his cat-like owner. he bore an image of a cruel ruthless prince because of what he did, but sunghoon knew better than to simply believe those rumours.
underneath all those menacing grins with an evil glint and merciless words that left his sharp mouth was merely a vulnerable little kitten left to fend for himself. that was why he was there to protect the younger human, to serve him, to do his every bidding.
he always did have a soft spot for cats and all other felines (jungwon, jay and riki were proof of that).
"hyung." the other stood up and called him, waiting for any sign that he was heard.
he could barely hear the moving footsteps from behind him but just knew anyway that sunghoon was approaching him.
"yes?" the prince finally turned away from the rose bush and his eyes met with the vampire's own pair, its hue always so captivating to stare into. he wanted to fall in deep within those pools of glittering gold and drown himself in them.
"pick out the wilting roses for me." honestly, jungwon would have done it himself but it was easier to just let the older do it for him. the reason as to why was due to the nature of these creatures of the night― it was harder to easily harm them, unlike with humans and the fragility of their skin.
"of course." and he watched the silver haired boy crouch down in a similar position he was previously in, fingers unscathed even as he directly held the white flowers from their thorns. "may i ask a question though?"
he raised an inquiring eyebrow. "go ahead."
"why pick only the wilting ones, my love?" he only focused on the other's voice, its sound so soft and light, especially with that last syllable.
a word so sweet it did not seem to fit the two yet it was still used. a nickname passed around so freely between them that felt somewhat undeserving. a fate that tied both of their red threads of destiny together in a tight knot, never to be undone.
jungwon decided to not answer him yet, instead dragging a confused but complying vampire that still held the roses with falling petals in between his slender fingers, its texture no longer so smooth and soft. further from the palace, away from the open windows and hiding from the possible prying eyes behind those drawn curtains. they reached within the intricately designed hedge maze, its height thankfully tall enough to hide behind.
but sunghoon wondered why they strayed away from the rose bushes. "love?"
as soon as that one word left his lips, that emptiness was immediately filled with his prince's own pair, truly soft like petals. as sudden as it was, daffodil eyes had the initial surprise within leave and be replaced by such fondness that made them gently shut and let his lips answer.
hands cupping his cheeks bearing differently placed moles, jungwon greedily ate up all the escaping noises like desperation, unwilling to let himself be starved. only when he was hungry for air did they separate, both mouths looking darker than it previously was.
"i do adore-" he kissed him again, its duration length shorter this time. "-whenever you call me love."
"to me, you are love itself." he let himself giggle into sunghoon's mouth, lips stretching and eyes turning into crescents.
although small, the younger's smile was not, by no means, insincere or not genuine. "i made you pick out the wilting roses for the sole reason that i make you end lives from your own kind." a contrast to his words, his tone exuded adoration for this endearing vampire of his.
his voice was tiny yet heard as a whisper. "but that is for good reasons." he kissed back in between his words. "they weren't good people."
jungwon hummed as he let their limbs entangle themselves in each other's embrace. "so you understand."
if others picked out the most beautiful flowers out of their beds, like how the heavens chose the best people to join their ranks in the skies, then he would gladly remove the wilting roses from his bushes.
truly a shame that due to his murderous orders to sunghoon, his image as a cold prince was created based off of the rumours that he threatened his vampire to kill others of his own kind.
unfortunately, he has learned to embrace it since a while ago. yet, wanting to change that, the older wished for the world to know that jungwon― his tiny little adorable kitten-like prince― has had good intentions since the start.
"of course. i'll always be by your side, my love." their shared kisses in secret moments were so thrilling, similarly to biting him. addictive, like his blood.
"you are mine after all."
sunghoon chuckled against the light breeze. jungwon silenced him by kissing him more, leaning away in time to hear him speak so lowly, accepting what he was.
"i'm all yours."
