Chapter Text
Kim Dokja becomes a completely different person every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm on the dot. From tired, overworked pencil pusher at Minosoft to mischievous, clever Demon King of Salvation beloved by fans.

queen-of-spring: Oh? Not a visual novel or story game today?judge-of-fire: demon king of salvation not playing games with heavy lore?? the world is ending
winedaddy: i was hoping you’d finish off the forgotten city sigh
“Yup! Today we’ll be doing something a bit different!” Dokja laughs knowing his reputation online as an avid lore enthusiast, “I’ll be playing Valorant as a break before we dive back into exploring more stories.”
“My reason for playing Valorant?” Dokja hums as he pretends to be in thought, “It’s a secret!”
He chuckles under his breath while slowly smirking at his webcam to make his VTuber model smile menacingly on the stream. As he tilts his head, his model also tilts its head to match his movement. Dokja smiles seeing his model that he commissioned through his meager savings from several part-time jobs during university. Although he could only afford a half-body chibi model at the time, Demon King of Salvation’s trademark horns, wings, and tiny crown on the left side of his model became iconic in the Korean Vtuber community. Kim Dokja also feels a lot of nostalgia for his chibi model so he doesn’t really use his newer full-body model despite it being more popular among his fans for its “sexiness.”
Dokja presses Start on the game’s interface to find a match, “Let’s pew pew the enemies as a stress reliever!”
If there’s anything Kim Dokja knows about the gaming community, it’s that teabagging on your enemies pisses off toxic randoms. It’s the satisfaction, the superiority, the smugness one feels in completely owning the enemy team. The moment an enemy decides to talk smack about him in chat, Dokja takes it as permission to irritate the enemies as much as he can.
Which brings him to his current situation. Dokja controls his agent, Raze, to double satchel onto his enemies and kills them with a shotgun. He decided earlier to use shotguns throughout the match to stand in different ratting spots to kill enemies by surprise. Kim Dokja loves to troll whenever he streams Valorant as he doesn’t take the game seriously so he tries to engage with his fans by talking to them as he plays.

delusionaldemon: FUCK YOU RAT BASTARD. YOU CAN’T USE A REAL GUN.darkdragonflames: i bet u still live with ur mom in her basement. get a life and go touch some grass!!!!
pogpaul: u get no bitches
Kim Dokja laughs in mirth as he reads the messages from the enemy team, “Look chat, they’re malding for losing to a ‘rat bastard.’ Ain’t my fault they can’t counter my shotgun rat plays.” To Dokja, the reactions to his trolling from the enemy team never fails to bring joy in his streams. Dokja continues to spam the crouch key to make his selected agent crouch up and down to teabag the enemy player until the Victory screen fades into the match’s post-game results. He sees his name Salvation as Match MVP and clicks through the different tabs of the post-match recap. He grins in satisfaction at the memory of his ace with just a judge shotgun on round 5.
Dokja cracks his neck and puts his arms in the air above his head to stretch after sitting down for 2 hours of streaming. He rolls his wrists and looks over at the time displayed on his phone, “8:24 PM? Hmm, I need to sleep early to make sure I can arrive early at my new job tomorrow. Therefore, I’ll only play 1 more game of Valorant! No more ranked games though since I want to relax and troll some more.” Dokja looks over at his computer monitor to see his chat's reactions at the sudden news he dropped.

Father-night: Yes, sleep is more importantkingoftranscedants: omg new job??? where??
queenofspring: Please take care of yourself more, but congratulations on the new job!
judge-of-fire: omg omg congrats!! super happy for you!!
monkeyking: what job is it?
“Thanks so much chat! I’m super excited to start this new job especially since my last job was a total bore and definitely underpaid me. All I can say is that my new job allows me to be more creative while also paying me double what my last job paid me! I’m finally moving up the ranks in the Demon World!” Dokja’s model winks at chat. He squirms in excitement as he thinks about his new job. Dokja’s new job is at N’Gai Esports, the esports team Supreme King is currently signed with as the #1 Korean Valorant pro player. It’s also the reason why he decided to play Valorant as a personal celebration for landing the job after his friend gave him a referral for the position.
“I’m so excited about starting my new job, but let’s start the last game now so I can head to bed sooner!”
Dokja clicks on the queue for unrated on the game’s interface, and immediately finds a match. His eyebrow shoots up in surprise, “I didn’t realize Tuesday night queues were so active. Maybe I should play more on Tuesday nights then.”
As the agent select page loads up, his eyes quickly glance over his new teammates’ name and snorts at the last teammate who chose Sage as their agent, “YooOpparNomuNomuSaranghaeyo? I think I found a fellow Supreme King fan. Maybe they can be the Pocket Sage to my Jett?” He laughs and chooses Jett as his agent to play. He couldn’t resist the urge to mess with his team’s Sage a little especially since his chat loves to tease him for his obsession over the Supreme King despite his denials.
“Sage-ssi! Are you a Yoo Joonghyuk fan too? Isn’t he very handsome? I love it when he glares at the crowd. It always makes my heart go doki doki,” Kim Dokja sighs in fake admiration over the team mic. He waits a few seconds in silence for the Sage to answer. When no voice is heard from the Sage, Dokja feels a little disappointed. He hoped to talk with the possible Supreme King fan during the stream, and maybe fangirl over the pro player together to entertain his chat.
“Maybe they don’t like using game mic? It’s unrated so comms don’t really matter. Maybe if I talk more about our Yoo oppa they’ll reply to me,” Dokja says amusedly. He tries to think of possible conversations he can say over the mich to incite a reaction from the Sage. Dokja wasn’t much of an extrovert, but he has followed Yoo Joonghyuk for years and seen what fangirls usually say over social media about the pro player.
Therefore, throughout the whole game, Dokja tried to get a reaction from the possible Yoo Joonghyuk fan by being as thirsty as possible over team mic.
“Did you learn that wall strategy from watching his last VCT match against Olympus? It was such a 3000 IQ play.”
“What do you think of Yoo Joonghyuk’s 2021 appearance on Running Man? Wasn’t he super strong and athletic? I wish he could carry me bridal style with his thick and veiny arms.”
“I swear the Supreme King’s cheekbones are so sharp. I can probably cut stone with it.”
“Kyaaaaa! Nice ace Sage! Truly a Supreme King Fan.”
With each comment answered with silence and no response, Dokja has to admit defeat. Sage is not willing to respond to his thirsty comments about Yoo Joonghyuk. He sighs in mock disappointment into his stream mic.
“Sorry, chat. I don’t think today is the day I finally find a fellow fangirl to thirst over the Supreme King today. The power of Yoo Joonghyuk’s cheekbones wasn’t enough,” Dokja says jokingly as his team brings the score up to 12 - 7, “I was super annoying to her though so I don’t really blame her for ignoring me.” He laughs at himself for the cringe thirst comments he made throughout the match. Dokja muses that his thirst over Joonghyuk’s thick arms was probably the best one he said throughout the game.

winedaddy: don’t expect a friend request pepelaughblackflamesempress: i can’t believe i know you. ur so cringe plz stop my ears can’t take it
destroyer-of-evil: …
kingoftranscedants: u were def muted by the sage LMAO
Dokja pouts at the screen, “She didn’t even type to tell me to shut up over team chat. It’s okay though! If we win the next round, we win the whole game. Let’s end the stream with a win!” Dokja cracks his knuckles preparing to end the match by rolling over the team in a total defeat.
When the next round of the game starts, he navigates his agent to dash onto site in order to clear space for his teammates to set up the bomb. He quickly headshots the enemy Reyna with his vandal and claims the first blood of the match. In order to prevent the enemy team from entering the site before his team could set-up for post-plant, he starts walking into the enemy team’s spawn area to kill the unsuspecting Skye when her gun is tucked away. He manages to get one more kill on Omen before dying. Dokja groans as his Jett falls to the ground in her death. However, when he looks at his screen, Dokja makes a noise in surprise.
Sage is standing next to Jett's dead body. Dokja didn’t realize that she was following behind him the whole time despite Sage being more of a support player and not an entry fragger like Jett. Dokja wonders if she was trying to be an actual pocket Sage in the last round.
He watches as Sage starts to sway her hand back and forth in front of her hands. Turquoise wisps flow around her arms as she prepares her next move. Dokja realizes that Sage is planning to resurrect his agent so he could continue to play the last round, “Thank you Sage! I didn’t think you’d save me after how annoying I was throughout the match,” Dokja laughs in appreciation. He was glad to be able to play more before the match ended.
[Team Chat]
YooOpparNomuNomuSaranghaeyo: At least you know you were annoying.
Dokja gasps exaggeratedly in surprise to entertain his stream chat, “Sage answered! Sage noticed me! Is this a sign? I have to get one more kill to not put our Sage’s kindness to waste!” Dokja moves his agent Jett to support his team again and listens to the comms his team were saying to know where the rest of the enemies were. He manages to kill the last enemy before the bomb goes off resulting in his team’s victory.
“GGs team! I love you Sage!” Dokja says to the team one last time while blowing a kiss over the microphone. He feels satisfied with how his last game went despite being ignored by the Sage. Doka turns his head to his second monitor on the right to read what his viewers were saying. He begins to thank the people who donated money to his streams and any new subscribers when somebody on his team opens their mic to say something.
“GGs,” a familiar deep voice travels over to his ears.
Dokja abruptly stops speaking to his chat and flinches in disbelief. He quickly looks over to the left side of his game monitor and his face pales at what he sees. Sage’s tiny picture along with the username YooOpparNomuNomuSaranghaeyo is displayed on the screen showing that the person who spoke was the Sage.
He goes over how the voice sounds in his head to remember why the voice sounded so familiar. Dokja feels the pit of stomach drop in incredulity. As the realization hits him, he breathes in sharply and widens his eyes in growing horror, “Please tell me that’s not who I think it is. Please tell me I didn’t just fangirl over the Supreme King only for that person to be him.”

judge-of-fire: AHHHHHHHH OMG ITS HIM ITS HIM
winedaddy: lololololololol
monkeyking: kekeke you played yourself
“MY LIFE IS OVER NOW!” Dokja screams in despair as his chat continues to laugh at his embarrassment. His face turns red while Dokja thinks about what he said to the Supreme King during the whole match. Dokja’s face falls into the palms of his hands as he groans. He now regrets saying he wished he could be carried by Yoo Joonghyuk with his “thick and veiny arms.”
“I’m going to end the stream now before I embarrass myself further. Maybe the Supreme King will suddenly have memory loss and forget this ever happened. Bye chat!” Kim Dokja quickly navigates to his broadcasting software to end the live stream and turns off his PC. He sits on his chair for a few minutes in despair before getting up shakingly. He bumps into objects into his room and stumbles onto his bed face first.
Maybe this is all a bad dream Kim Dokja thinks to himself.
The next day clips of Dokja’s VTuber persona and his interactions with Yoo Joonghyuk, Korea’s top Valorant player, blew up all over social media. Fans uploaded clips of Kim Dokja’s remarks and Yoo Joonghyuk’s voice all over Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
