The Staycation

Summary:

Sam and Bucky enjoy their staycation.

EXCERPT:

“You’re doing it again,” said Sam softly, watching Bucky watching him.

“It’s hard not to,” said Bucky, “There is no one as beautiful as you in this world. In any world.”

Sam laughed, looking away shyly.

“You say that like you know it,” said Sam.

Bucky reached out for him. He still marveled that he got to hold Sam’s hand. That he was allowed to step into Sam’s personal space.

“Sweetheart. There is no one who could compare,” said Bucky as he captured Sam’s gaze once more.

Sam smiled at Bucky. Bucky would follow that smile to the ends of the world, if Sam wanted to. He would travel all their world and beyond for this man.

“I hate that you’re so good at that,” said Sam as Bucky laughed, “Stop being charming.”

“Never,” said Bucky, leaning in for a kiss.

Work Text:

Sam was beautiful. Framed by the almost fiery sunset like he was an angel.

Maybe Sam was.

Some days, Bucky wondered as much. Bucky would have slept the frozen slumber for the rest of his days if not for Sam freeing him. Bucky remembered waking up to Sam’s face and thinking, “I could wake up to this face for the rest of my life”.

Bucky didn’t even know how he lucked out. How Sam saw him as an option, even. Bucky felt like a mess on the best of days. But he felt better when he was with Sam. Because his whole day was just better with Sam around. Making little jokes every chance he got. Making Bucky feel like he could belong somewhere after he had been frozen for a thousand years. Letting Bucky into his home and into his heart.

Every time Bucky saw him, he just wanted to kiss Sam. Especially now, as Sam tipped his hat up and allowed for the last remaining sun to shine down on him. A few of his top buttons were undone due to the immense heatwave that took up most of this week they had to themselves. He even had his sleeves rolled up, showing off his forearms. Bucky never really thought about forearms before he met Sam. How could he not now, looking at those beautiful forearms before him?

Even now, Sam was sweating, but somehow he made it gorgeous. Like he was sparkling. The sweat highlighted the hickeys Bucky had placed onto Sam all week during this vacation of theirs. This little staycation where they pretended they were the only people in the world.

And his eyes. The moment they locked with Bucky’s, Bucky didn’t know what to do. He couldn’t look away. They were warm and bright and filled with mirth. They were a thunderclap in Bucky’s heart, lightning crawling under Bucky’s skin. They were a rainstorm in his chest, causing chaos in their wake.

Bucky couldn’t even breathe when he saw Sam smile. That gorgeous, hypnotic gap-toothed smile that made all brain function cease. How could anyone think when Sam smiled at them like that?

Every kiss always felt like the first to Bucky. Exhilarating and magical and more than Bucky could ever dream. He moved closer to Sam. His hand moved away from Sam’s as his arm wrapped around Sam’s waist. They kissed there; out on their porch as the desert sun made its meandering way under the horizon.

Bucky could hear Sam laugh as Bucky moved his hand to Sam’s ass and pushed Sam up. Sam’s arms and legs instinctually wrapped themselves around Bucky as Bucky held him up. Bucky walked backwards into their home, somehow getting the door open and closed in the process.

“Someone’s impatient,” said Sam into Bucky’s mouth, not sounding annoyed in the slightest.

“Always want you,” said Bucky, his voice thick and needy.

Sam chuckled as he pulled Bucky into a deeper kiss. What year was it again? Who was he? Bucky only knew that he wanted this. Wanted hands moving under his shirt, lips on his, his tongue exploring Sam’s mouth. All other information left him. Muscle memory was a brilliant thing, though. Bucky was sure there would be no way he had found his way to their bedroom without it. He gently fell backwards, feeling Sam’s weight above him. He liked it. He liked having Sam pressed on him, resting on him.

“What do you want?” asked Bucky as he finally broke away from Sam’s kiss.

“You always ask that,” said Sam above him, smiling down at Bucky.

“Because I want to make you feel good,” said Bucky.

Sam made noises and dove back down. Bucky forgot that there was anything but Sam. There wasn’t enough space in his brain now for anything but Sam. A singular brain cell could only hold so much, and what it held was kissing Sam forever. Bucky was pretty sure clothes were coming off. Cowboy hats and boots and belts and jeans and button-down shirts. Bucky tried his best to help with that, but really, anything he could do to keep Sam kissing him was his brain’s priority.

“I love you,” whispered Sam, catching his breath as he rested his forehead on Bucky’s, “You know that, right?”

“Of course I do,” said Bucky, smiling, “I love you too.”

“Fuck me,” said Sam between kisses, “I want you inside me. I want to feel it when you sink into me. Slide out. I want to know you’ve been in me. That there’s a place for you in me, not just in my heart. Like there’s a place for me in you.”

Bucky rolled Sam over gently. This wasn’t even the first time they fucked that day. No, their little staycation at their home out in the middle of the desert had been filled with little moments together. Every moment felt special, though. Because he got to share it with Sam. He moved Sam’s legs tenderly, looking down at Sam.

Sam.

Sam sprawled under Bucky. Relaxed. Smiling.

Waiting for Bucky to do something.

“Sorry,” said Bucky, “I just get lost sometimes when I look at you.”

Sam’s smile grew.

“I know, babe,” said Sam, “I don’t mind.”

Bucky reached for the lube, spreading some on his fingers as he pumped them into Sam’s body, making sure Sam was prepared. Bucky focused on the groans. How Sam’s body writhed when he hit that spot. Bucky could have just done that forever. Used his fingers as he watched Sam reach ecstasy over and over again. Sam looked happy with that thought too. He looked lost in the feeling of it, of whatever pleasure Bucky was giving him.

Bucky almost did just that.

He pulled the fingers out, though, Sam whimpering at their lost.

“I know,” said Bucky as he lined himself up with Sam, “But you asked for this.”

Bucky knew they were both moaning. He was pretty sure they were. A harmony of groans as Bucky sank back into Sam steadily, filling Sam so beautifully. Sam gazed up at Bucky, his eyes hazy with lust and love.

And Bucky knew what Sam wanted.

He leaned down, landing a kiss on Sam’s lips, nipped at Sam’s jaw before he sucked into Sam’s neck with a rumble, starting to make another hickey on Sam’s skin as he slowly began to move.

And it wasn’t about speed. Not now. The passion was in their eyes. How Sam clung to him. How tenderly and lovingly Bucky thrusted into Sam, like he wanted to keep this up for all of time and stave off the orgasm. Just stay in this place he had carved out in Sam. Keep holding onto Sam and making Sam groan as he started another hickey on Sam’s shoulder. He wanted this to last an eternity. For he and Sam to forever be on that tipping point and stay in that moment.

Bucky felt Sam’s fingers dig deep into his back. Bucky heard the ragged sounds of surprise, felt Sam tighten around him in a broken moan. Sam’s dick pulsed between them as Sam painted them both with his release.

And how could Bucky not fall over the edge after that? He’d follow Sam anywhere. Bucky groaned into Sam’s shoulder as he felt himself spill into Sam, his hips moving involuntarily as he held Sam closer to him. Bucky’s body relaxed, falling atop Sam in utter bliss.

“This staycation was a fantastic idea,” mumbled Sam in a daze, sounding completely sated.

Bucky couldn’t remember words. All he could do was nod, hoping he could stay there inside Sam for a little while longer.
