Work Text:

Freedom,

I know it's been a few years since you ended your path, but I feel obliged to write to you. I still feel remorseful but everyone supported me. It's been seven years since that day and I'm about to be a father. I found someone who completes me just like you. Of course I feel an emptiness in my chest and I still think about you, but that woman chased my heart. You don't know her but, if you did, I think you two would get along very well. I told her about you. She has straight black hair and big brown eyes. We met at Oni Firudo. One of my Jumon was reflected by a barrier and almost hit her. Luckily she dodged it, but even so, she tried to cut my head off. She is called Shirubāmūn. Strange name, no? She came from outside and says that in the language of her people it means Silver Moon. She received it because, on the day of her birth, moonlight illuminated her mother as she was being transported to the midwife's house. If I got it straight, when something like this happens, it ends up with a name attached to the event. For example, she told me that her mother fell the week she gave birth to one of her brothers and landed in a pile of wheat. His brother is called Aki Komugi (Autumn Wheat). This isn't even the strangest name. Her family's name is Kuro (Black). She has a total of eight siblings and is the third oldest. I still haven't met them all. We got married this year on the third moon of spring. As is tradition, I had to change my last name. I am now  ▬#▬#▬#▬ Crow Kuro Hikari. I decided to keep your last name and changed my family name to Crow.

I miss you... We all do. I hope to see you again one day.

Forever or another day,

Crow

Notes:

Hello. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. As I said before, this is like a continuation of Freedom. Maybe I'll do another one from a different character's point of view. The characters' names and some others that are not in English are in Japanese! I'm not fluent in any of the languages so, sorry if I wrote some mistake ;-;
