Except instead of waking up in a hospital, she’d woken up in a dungeon surrounded by some incredibly furious LARP-ers. That had certainly escalated the unpleasantness that was about to consume her day. But the giant ball of green fire in the sky, and inexplicably in her hand, sort of cemented it as the worst day of her life.

The world is bigger on a scale that almost no one in Equestria has any reference for. The universe is even bigger than that.
There are elder gods in the spaces between worlds. There is a war older than time between the light that made reality and the darkness that wants to unmake it.
None of that is the scary part.
The scary part is what answered when that chaos god screamed into the multiverse.
And Ark just stumbled onto the battlefield carrying the accumulated knowledge of a species that split atoms before learning the simple fact that Friendship is Magic.
