Chapter Text
A few months after the Great War, Cale thinks that the Henituse family and Molan heads should at least know about his situation. After heavy self-debates and thinking, Cale goes to the Duchy to confess.
With the support of his hyung-nim, Alberu Crossman, his loyal knight, Choi Han, and children, Cale faces the people he had come to realize as his family.
"Raon. Noise canceling magic please." Cale says, aside from selected people, the Henituse family does not know Raon, became confused.
"Alright, human."
The sudden voice of a child, shocked the family causing them to flinch. After the magic was activated, Cale began his tale.
"The first thing about this is that it was sudden. I didn't know what had happened to me at the beginning, but now I do."
Deruth tries to ask, "What do you mean, Cale?"
"I'm not the Cale Henituse you knew." He began, "I was reading a novel before falling asleep and I woke up in this world."
"What... what do you mean Cale?" Deruth asked, startled.
"I'm not the original Cale. I was woken up by Ron and I was already in the 18 year old Cale's body. At that time I have no idea why it happened to me. If you can't believe me, I can make a Vow of Death."
"Then who are you? What happened to the Young Master?" Ron voiced.
Cale sighed before answering, "I was from a world called Earth, according to things that happened, it was Earth 1. In that world we have no magic or other races like Beast people or dragons. Our races were only differentiated as people who lived in different continents and countries. We have technology, some more advanced than things here solved by magic. Things changed when monsters began appearing in the world, we had to fight those monsters in order to live, and people started to develop abilities; some combat abilities and some are not. Anyways, I was Kim Rok Soo. I lived until I was 36 years old before waking up as Cale."
"Abilities hmm..." Ron murmured, contemplating.
"I was able to talk to the Original Cale Henituse while I was unconscious in the Puzzle City, during the War. He was the reason why I became him."
"What do you mean?"
"He lived until he was 40 and was dying during the War with that White Star bastard, then the God of Death offered him a deal."
"A God?"
"Deal? What kind of deal? And he was 40?!"
"Yes. He experienced a war that has been going on for 20 years and their side was losing. He said kingdoms started to fall one by one, and those that didn't, bowed to the White Star."
"Wow... 20 years?" Alberu stated, speaking for the first time during this discussion.
"Still! Why would he leave us behind?" Deruth questioned.
"There was no one he could leave behind."
"What? Orabeoni, what?"
"Just like when I was 18, the celebration of the King's birthday tragedy happened. Cale wasn't the one that went to the Capital at that time, it was Basen. Cale and Choi Han had a ―ahem― disagreement and Cale was bedridden at the time. Cale also didn't know of the Ancient Powers in the territory, he didn't have the shield or any of my powers."
"Basen.." Gasps Violan, clutching her son's hand tightly.
"Oppa!" Exclaimed by Lily while holding Basen.
Deruth stays silent, processing what Cale -or was it Kim Rok Soo- was saying.
"It would have been a disaster." Alberu says.
"It was. Basen returned to the County injured and many people died that day. Choi Han and the others were only able to stop half of it. After two years, the Indomitable Alliance of the North declared war. Without preparation and the sudden announcement, the County fell. Cale was the only one alive by the time the Heroes party arrived at the territory. War continued on, Kingdoms fell, our allies now were enemies then. There was no unity. Cale said the Roan Kingdom fought, stayed strong until the final battle 20 years later."
"I'm sorry." Choi Han apologizes to the family, bowing his head.
"I'm sure, we didn't just leave the County be." Ron tries to reason.
"Oh Cale.." tears started to fall in the faces of the Henituse family.
"Orabeoni... I'm sorry. I'm sorry"
"Hyung-nim..."
"Ron, you and Beacrox left the County with Choi Han since the beginning. You tried, but with out the mages that Hyung-nim has, it was a difficult time."
"I see." Was all Ron could say. Beacrox was still silent in his place besides his father.
"As I said before, during the final battle, Cale was trapped before the White Star found him and shot an attack. He was dying when the God of Death offered him a deal."
"What was deal? Please"
"He was offered to regress back to 18, but was told to transmigrate into my body. He was told that someone who'll he replaced with would be able to make changes. He took the chance. He could save his family, territory, and be with his mother again."
"I guess that part is true." Alberu quietly says.
"M-mother? Jour?!" Deruth asks.
"Yes. Apparently, Jour Thames reincarnated in my world and he's now taking care of her."
"I... I just." Deruth sobs, "Is he happy?"
Violan gives him her silent support, keeping her own sobs at bay. The children were also silently listening on as they cry.
"He says he was." Cale answers. "I didn't know at first on why I was sent or why I was Cale, but I'm sorry." He bows, "I'm now taking his name just as we agreed on when we met."
A few minutes of the family crying and the Molan's thinking, Cale decided to leave them be for now.
Standing up and signaling the others with him, "I'll leave first, I'm sure you want to think this through. We'll be back at the Villa."
As they went to the corner, Raon teleports them to the Villa for him to talk to Alberu and Choi Han; leaving the Henituse's and Molan's back at the Dukedom.
The trio talked about the war as the children averaging 10 years old listened in. There was no news about the Henituse or Molan's that day.
The next day, they moved to the black castle to inform Rosalyn, Eruhaben, Sheritt, and Lock. It went well, they accepted the fact easily. They didn't know Cale before Kim RokSoo became Cale. They welcomed him with,
"Oh Young Master Cale.. welcome to this world!" Says Rosalyn, "I wish I could thank Kim Rok Soo for giving us this chance."
"You unlucky bastard tsk tsk."
"Nice to meet you, Young Master Cale!" Greets Lock.
"Interesting... Soul swap?" Sheritt observes,

As they prepared for bed, Raon suddenly asks, "Hey human, do you like it here?"
"Why are you asking something so obvious?"
"Then you better stay with this great and mighty dragon and kittens!" Raon happily says as he and the kittens jumps on Cale.
Cale gave them head pats and caress each while saying, "Of course. This is home after all."
Unknown to them, an old assassin and black knight were able to listen to their conversation.
"Home..." muttered the two of them.
