Chapter Text
All his life Steve Harrington was told that he had a ‘different type’ of intelligence. He wasn’t an academic, but he was definitely smart...in his own way. It was the thing people said when they were trying to be nice, the way to comfort stupid jocks who actually cared about their grades, but never were able to make their brains work for long enough to get anything over a C.
But, as he walked away from Nancy and back to the house, having broken his own heart in an effort to save hers, Steve thinks they might’ve been right.
