Omori’s POV
I stare up into the prue blankness of the room, feeling a soft creature next to me admitting sounds, seeing small flickering of the light bulb in the room. I got up and stared at the computer screen in boredom then the sketchbook filled with images. Getting bored I walked to the door that was just there in the blank emptiness of an almost too quiet room with hand-like figures just swimming around. I walked to the door and turned the knob, looked at the purple abyss and closed it again. I don't feel like hanging out with friends, I thought. Grabbing the knife from my pocket and stabbing myself. The feeling was too familiar…there was no blood dropping but just pain…everything turning black

Sunny’s POV
Raising up from my bed, breathing heavily. I slowly touched my stomach and there was nothing but a small vibration. I fell back to my bed trying to sleep again but couldn’t . Getting up in disappointment and heading for the kitchen. It seems like mother is still sleeping. I stared at the bottom of the stairs which brought tears to my eyes. I tried not to think too much about the incident so I went quickly down the stairs, running to the kitchen. Feeling a bit hungry and heating up a steak. During the small amount of time I was thinking why did my mom decide to cancel the move. Those people were pissed when they found out but we are still here. It was a struggle trying to open all the boxes and putting most of the stuff back. I mean..I didn’t want to go but some part of me wanted to move. I heard a knock on the door, I knew that Kel was waiting for me…why?..I headed for the door and opened it slowly.
“Hey Sunny…”
I was about the slam the door closed but Kel stopped it in time
“Ow Sunny…am not mad at you..I just want to hang out with you”
Hearing the microwave beeping
“Go eat and come out ok?”
I nodded and closed the door softly
After eating, I opened the door and closed it behind me.
“Lets go to the park”
Most of the walking was silent till we heard a scream in the park. We ran there and saw Aubrey beating Basil up. Kel yelled at her to stop. I looked at Basil and the condition he was in made my stomach upset but I still kept a neutral face. Aubrey looked pissed and she looked at me
“I WISH IT WAS YOU AND NOT HER!” She ran up to me but Kel pushed her to the ground
“It was an accident! Don’t you understand?!” Kel’s face glowed red
“WELL THAT ACCIDENT KILLED HER!” Aubrey yelled back
I wanted to talk at that time but my lips weren’t working so the thoughts and the guilt builded up screaming in my head..It was your fault…it was your fault…..it was your fault….she died cause of you…they won’t forgive you for what you have done… it would be better if you died….the sound of a moving car was nearby. I found myself by the road almost taking a step where I could have gotten runned over. I felt a tight hug around me and the smell of flowers and dirt with a hint of blood.
“Sunny…ple..ase..no” The grip got tighter
“Let’s wa..lk back for a bit…” Basil grabbed my hand, I didn’t know what to say at that moment but I just hugged Basil. It seems like he was happy from that small movement and I felt arms around me again. We stood like that for a while till Kel separated us.
“Hey Basil..why don’t we heal up those wounds of yours before you get anymore blood on him”
“Yeah..lets do that”
We headed for Basil’s house leaving Aubrey standing there.
“I WILL NEVER FUCKING FORGIVE YOU!!” Aubrey hit the nearby tree with her bat
“Just ignore her Sunny..” Kel stopped walking and looked at me
I was more concerned about the tree than a pink-haired child with anger issues, I mean… What did that tree do to you? I thought. As we arrived at Basil’s house, we started cleaning his wounds and bandaging them up. Polly called down stairs for Kel to help out with dinner and it was just me and Basil.
“Thanks with the bandages Sunny..” Basil looked away for a split second
I nodded,
“I don’t know to this point that telling them the truth was actually a good choice….”
“What do you think about it, Sunny?” Basil looked at me, I can tell that he had a bit of sadness
I just shrugged my shoulders.
Silence filled the bathroom.
“Sunny please talk”
“I don’t want to feel like I’m just here alone…”
“I-I mean if you don’t want to talk then I’m alright with that as well” I saw Basil play with his hair for a bit. I continued to stay quiet.
“Should we go down there to see what they are doing”
I nodded
“Oh ok”
I stood up and helped Basil get up and headed for the kitchen. Polly was happy we arrived just in time because dinner was finished. While sitting, eating the delicious food Polly made with the help of Kel, she was asking what happened with Basil and Kel just said he fell into a rose bush really badly in the park. Kel mentioned to Polly that my mom decided to cancel the moving plan. Polly was happy for me. Staying in that house is like a daily reminder of the accident. I know that I told them the cold harsh truth but it still hurts…
“Sunny, are you okay over there?” Basil looked at me for what I can tell he was sad. I nodded a yes and continued eating small bits. Took a while but we finished and decided to hang out outside by the flowers. Basil was talking about their meanings and how he loved the Sunflower. For fun we watered them.
“Well it is getting a bit orange outside so I’ll be headed home. Have fun you two!”
Me and Basil waved goodbye to Kel. Basil turned around a picked something up nearby
“Here have this Sunny”
Basil decided to give me a pot with a white tulip. I hugged Basil as a form of thank you.
“Uhm…Your welcome….Sunny”
“I’ll take good care of it”
Hearing my own voice was weird to me. Just talking makes my throat hurt, It was so weak…Basil pushed away from me and his expression was happiness which made me slightly smile
“Oh my goodness…You spoke! Been a long time ever since you told them about it….”
“I hate my voice..”
“Don’t hate it Sunny, Its sounds beautiful”
I just picked the dirt, I don’t know what I was feeling..
“ you smiled as well!”
Basil continued to jump till he stepped on a rock and fell. I hurried to him to check if he was okay
“Ow Ow Ow Ow…..”
“I’ll go get Polly” I stood up but just before I ran to the door, Basil said not to get Polly and get an ice pack. I kept a mental note of that and headed inside. Polly was sitting on the sofa watching TV. I opened the freezer and tried to get the ice pack from behind. Jumping didn’t help so much…damnit
“Do you need help Sunny?” Polly go up and headed for me
I nodded in response
“Here”
“Thank you..”
I saw Polly was shocked as well but she said a your welcome and headed back to the sofa. I ran outside and gave the Ice pack to Basil.
“Thanks Sunny”
“Did Polly ask about anything?”
I shaked my head a no
“Oh ok”
Basil placed the Ice pack on the back of his head and quietly sat there. Soft breeze started to blow. I saw how Basil’s hair softly flowed with the air. It was calming, but for a split second it reminded me of Mari. I tried to calm down and focus into the environment I was in, I can tell Basil was scared as well- wait, scared?.....I turned around mentaly preparing my mind for what I was going to see but there was nothing.
“Sunny…you okay?” Basil still looked scared
I lightly flinched at Basil’s words
“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you…” I saw him grabbed the ice pack tighter
“Can we go inside…” I started to hug myself for comfort
“Yeah..It is getting dark” Basil got up and we headed for the door
“Hey Sunny”
I turned around quickly seeing Omori standing there and looking at me.
“Omori?”
I more was confused how Omori was there. Then Basil patted my back and looked worried at me.
“Sunny what are you saying?”
“...”
“Sunny don’t go quiet on me again, what are you doing?”
“...”
“Alright if you don’t want to talk about it…Lets go inside”
Basil and I went inside and Polly was cooking something but it smelled delicious.
“Would you guys like dinner?”
“Sure Polly! Thank you”
“Just taking care of you guys”
Basil grabbed my wrist and quickly walked to the room. Basil shut the door and locked it. I slightly winced in pain for my wrist.
“Who the hell is Omori?”
“An imaginary friend…”
“.....”
“..Wow Sunny! Never knew you had one, I mean you were the one with a big imagination of the…group”
Basil’s smile soon turned sad
“Aubrey is pissed if she sees me or you …Hero doesn't even want to be near us……Thank god Kel is still with us…..”
“And Sunny you are still here which makes me happy….” A small smile was placed on Basil’s face. I loved that small smile Basil had on his face made me happy as well which it kinda reminded me that I need to take a bath. I was a bit nervous asking Basil but i kinda have no choice.
“Basil….can I take a bath…..”
“Uhm sure Sunny”
Well that was easy
“I’ll tell Polly to wash your clothes when you are done with…undressing”
“Just put your clothing outside the door”
“Ok..”
I got up and headed for the bathroom and started to undress and put my clothes out by the door and hopped in the bathtub. The warmness of the water was so calming I almost fell asleep in it. Don’t want to do that again….Finished bathing and watching how the water slowly disappeared for no reason. I headed out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around me and headed for Basil’s room. Wait what clothing am I going to wear…my clothing is getting washed.
“Basil..” I stuck my head out from the door hoping Basil would hear me.
“YEAH!”
“What am I going to wear?...”
“UHMM…”
Rapid footsteps were headed toward me kinda scared me a bit..and Basil looked at a drawer and reached for something.
“I have a extra pair of pajamas so you can wear that”
Basil gave me neat folded clothes with a small smile. I thanked him and he ran out of the room so fast. I put on the pajama and it sunged in quite well, tho the sleeves were long but I don’t mind that. Adds in more of a comfy look. Basil slowly opened the door.
“Sorry that I didn’t think of that..I forgot that your clothes were getting washed..”
“It’s okay Basil….”
We both headed for the kitchen and ate dinner and headed back into the room again. “Well it's near bedtime so I’ll sleep on the floor you sleep on my bed”
I shake my head a no
“Together..”
Basil became red in a instant
“T-together?! Are you sure about that? What if I push you off the bed or I take to much space or You sleep wrong and you feel sore cause of me”
I put my sleeve on Basil’s mouth to make him quiet, a very childish move I did there.
“Together..It won’t be that bad..”
“Ok then it is together I guess” Basils made a nervous laugh
I looked behind Basil and saw Omori again.
“Ha gay”
I swear to god Omori you are going to die again. We were looking at each other at the beginning then we both turned around having our backs facing each other cause eye-contact was not really something we both like.
“Hope am not bothering you Sunny”
“No you're not”
“Oh ok….Well Goodnight Sunny”
As I started to get sleepy, hummed as a goodnight to Basil….hope he understood why I did that
