crashing on a couch, as it turns out, requires actually interacting with its owners.
akechi goro, to his mounting horror, finds that the owners of this particular couch are rapidly becoming less annoying.

in the p5 artbook, it's offhandedly mentioned that goro and niijima two might've been written as siblings, at one point. so i, uh, ran with it. part of an established "goro lives and it's everyone's problem" continuity, please check out the previous works in this series to get context!no set update schedule this time my life is in shambles

Summary
Akira sets down the last box with a satisfied sigh. He still needs to unpack everything, but at least it’s all in the house.
In his house. He can’t help but grin at the thought. He’s finally out of his parents’ place, and he’s not even crammed into some matchbox apartment. No, he’s renting an entire house.
The rent for the place is unbelievably cheap—apparently the landlord’s had trouble keeping folks in the place. Something about it being haunted. Akira doesn’t really believe in ghosts, but honestly, he’d put up with one for rent this low.

Summary
"We're infiltrating the… palace, right? We just need to go in and look around? You don't need to worry about my… about whatever it is."
"Crow."
He didn't react. He could see his eyes through the helmet darting around, slightly narrowed in thought.
"Akechi," Ren amended. His head whipped forward immediately.
Yeah, that's suspicious.
"How old are you?"
His posture tightened.
In this outfit, it was easier to tell how much skinnier he was, and how much muscle density had been lost.
And there were only so many ways someone could get shorter.

Summary
“What happened? They told me the Thieves’ leader was captured, but you’re here instead.”
“Well, you see, there was this whole ambush. For the Phantom Thieves.” Akechi grins weakly. “And I ran right into the middle of it.”

Summary
“Looks like your luck ran out, Joker.”
The boy in question hums. “Dunno about that. After all I was pretty lucky you decided to save me after everything that happened.”
There are fading bruises on his face, a leftover from the interrogation no doubt, but otherwise his face is fine. No gunshot wound on his forehead, blood pouring all over his features, eyes open in shock. They aren’t closed forever, not like in the engine room, there’s no mortal wound on his chest, there’s no blood, there’s—
“I’m afraid.” Goro smiles back, all teeth. “That was just but a pity.”
