What if Regina's "The one that got away" is the same person she'll spend the rest of her life with

Chapter Text

Regina is a determined and ambitious young woman who, despite her difficult upbringing, has managed to build a thriving winery from the ground up. Raised by a father who was overbearing and constantly compared her to others, Regina learned to be self-sufficient at a young age. Despite the pressure from her father, Regina took control of her financial future by investing her money while still in school.

After attending college, Regina put her return on investment to good use by starting her own business. She bought a building, gathered a team of employees and business partners, and dedicated herself to producing high-quality wine. Her drive to succeed was fueled not by a desire for personal gain, but rather by a deep-seated resentment of her father's high expectations and constant criticism.

But just as Regina was finding success, tragedy struck. Her father passed away, leaving her to deal with the aftermath of his loss and the uncertainty of what was next. For so long, her motivation had been to prove her father wrong, but with him gone, Regina was left to question what her true purpose was.

Regina faced a difficult decision after the loss of her father, but ultimately, she chose to continue running her thriving winery. She threw herself into her work, expanding the company and making it her top priority. As she grew older, people around her began to inquire about her family, but Regina didn't have anyone to speak of. She was raised by her father alone after her mother passed away during childbirth.

Despite being content with her life as a successful businesswoman, Regina faced pressure from her business partners and others to start a family of her own. At first, the idea filled her with hesitation and fear, given her experiences with her father. But then, someone introduced her to the concept of intrauterine insemination (IUI) and Regina saw it as a new purpose in life.

Determined to start a family on her own terms, Regina traveled to a different country for a year to undergo the procedure. When she returned home, she was the proud mother of Nathan, a little boy who brought joy and meaning to her life. Despite facing challenges and facing a difficult upbringing, Regina found the love and fulfillment she had always yearned for.

Regina is driving home from a long day at work, exhausted from back-to-back conferences. Despite her friend and secretary Ali's offer to drive her home, Regina declines, eager to return to the comfort of her own home. As she navigates the busy roads, she begins to feel the weight of the day's events lift from her shoulders.

But as she approaches a traffic light, her world suddenly comes to a halt. A loud, blaring horn pierces the air, causing Regina to slam on her brakes and close her eyes in fear. Her heart races and her grip on the steering wheel tightens as she tries to calm herself. The world around her becomes muffled, as if she's on the brink of passing out.

Just as Regina begins to lose consciousness, she hears a tap on her car window. She opens her eyes to find Narda. The sight of her old friend causes Regina's heart to stop, and she's filled with a mix of emotions as the memories of their past come flooding back. In that moment, Regina realizes that the journey of life is never over, and that even the most unexpected encounters can bring about profound change.
