Chapter Text
The tragedy of Yokohama is the horrid event of this generation. While many students will learn the jist of the final day, there is a single man whose death and following publication triggered the influence. Prior to the incident, the public had little knowledge on ability users, Dazai’s book gave a peak into Japan's greatest minds, the interworkings of secret organizations, and foreshadowed the event to come. Dazai was a man who had walked with death, his eloquent words carry a hollow perspective to him. I have decided to translate his memoir in its entirety, but I will make clarifying comments on how it ties back to that horrible day. Perhaps, if Dazai was still with us, the event would’ve never happened.
In Memory of Odasaku
