Chapter 1: The first time they shared a bed.

Chapter Text

“Enrico, I hope my next question doesn’t make you too uncomfortable… It would distress me deeply if I in anyway offended you, my friend.” Dio purred, setting down his wine glass with almost delicate, feline mannerisms. A huge contrast to his overwhelming aura and presence that radiates from him in strong waves enough to reduce most people to their most basic, reactionary behavioural response. One so uniquely charming and charismatic that humans would fall to their knees in front of him in fear, intimidation or arousal.

Enrico Pucci, however, was one such individual that wasn’t immune, but also was different in a sense that he would intentionally reject this desire to worship and wasn’t afraid to oppose Dio in simple matters such as opinions on trivial affairs or larger philosophical ideals. Pucci from the outside, appeared to be the complete polar opposite to the vampire, in looks and surface level personal desires. He was never afraid to chastise some of the choices of the vampire and combat his approach in certain areas.

That was what Dio found so deliciously interesting. Why, you could say, he was so fond of the priest in a way no one has ever grabbed his attention before. Gravity works in mysterious ways after all.

“Of course not Dio, you could never achieve such a thing, ask away.” Pucci responded his interest piqued yet, a sense of anxiety present with the unpredictable nature that was Dio.

“Would you care to lie with me in my chambers tonight?” Dio hummed in his distinct seductive tone, a knee perched above the other, his head tilted forward. Eyes focused upon his only item of importance in the room as Pucci returned the eye contact.

A furrow of confusion set upon Pucci’s forehead. “You’re asking as if the prospect of me sleeping with you is a foreign concept, when we both know how untrue that is.”

A light laugh escaped Dio’s lips as he shook his head with a smirk. “Ah, my dear boy, how simple minded of you, it really does appear that I have corrupted you to the core since your sexual awakening and now that is the only thing on your mind.” Dio teased with controlled delight, his signature smirk widening and eyes glistening, revelling in the red tinge that plagued Pucci’s cheeks at the playful mocking. “No my friend, what I meant was would you care to lie with me in my bed tonight, as opposed to your bed here in the mansion?”

“You mean… share the bed with you?”

“Yes Enrico, sleep by my side where I can hold you. I know your journey today was quite long and I’m sure you’re exhausted, I assure you, there’s nowhere in this mansion that will best accommodate your comfortability than my bed.” Dio grinned once again.

Pucci looked away thinking upon the offer. The proposition of sleeping next to Dio was so inviting, part of him was just jumping at the prospect of being held by Dio all night. Despite Dio’s tactile nature and the importance he placed upon physical affection, he wasn’t exactly open to the idea of intimacy. After a session of sex, he either followed it up by a feeding session or he simply kicked the other person (or multiple people on many occasions) out, unbothered by their potential aftercare needs. Of course, he treated Pucci differently after such an act. Treated him with care and affection but on reflection, he never actually slept in Dio’s room with him. If he ever passed out from exhaustion after a night of carnal desire, he always woke up tucked in delicately into his own bed as Dio carried him back to his own room.

Which leads onto the other side of Pucci that was a bundle of anxiety and panic. He had never slept in someone’s bed before. The idea of sleeping next to someone when he would be so vulnerable and see a side of him no one ever had before scared him. He trusted Dio, of course he did. But this begged the question… why Dio wanted to all of a sudden now sleep by him.

“Why?”

“…Hmm?” Dio raised a perfectly manicured eyebrow in question.

“Why me? You never have company in bed like that.”

“Is it that big of a surprise that I would want your company?” Dio’s smile faltered and he looked away, decided to instead focus on his nails. After a few seconds of strained silence, Pucci thought he said the wrong thing and opened his mouth to apologise. But before he could Dio started again.

“I just… you’re special to me Enrico, I think you know that. I don’t often say it but… I’m just not good at expressing my emotions in words. I would like to hold you as you lay next to me but that is only, of course, if you would feel comfortable doing so.” Dio cut himself off. Regaining his usual self and that split moment of vulnerability once again getting hidden behind his confident attitude and stood up. “I’ll leave you to it anyway, if you decide to, I will be waiting for you, my dear.” With a smile and a wink, he left Enrico alone to his own thoughts.

Pucci walked up to Dio’s door wearing his t shirt and pyjama trousers and with a deep breath knocked lightly upon the frame, hoping not to intrude. From the other side came the familiar assertive voice.

“Yes? Come in.”

Pucci attempted once again to still his racing heart, knowing full well that Dio would be able to hear it from across the room. He entered his room and was greeted with the sight of a naked Dio lounging across the bed, book in hand and hand pushing back his long, blonde hair. Candles littered across the room as the only source of light. The curtains drawn back to prevent the Cairo sun from entering the room. Enrico’s heart soared at the majestic view of Dio and once again threatened to leap from his chest at the prospect of laying next to such a picturesque God. But Dio wanted him. Not anyone else. He knew this and proceeded to walk along the wooden flaws that creaked with each step he took towards the bed.

“Well? Are you just going to stand there staring Enrico? It’s nothing you haven’t already seen.” Dio grinned and pulled out the covers, getting in and tapped the spot next to him.

Pucci smiled and walked up the side of the bed, getting in next to Dio and feeling the soft, silk sheets which had just been freshy cleaned best off the smell.

As Dio wrapped his arms around Pucci he let out a small gasp. “Dio you’re warm.”

“Yes, I decided to have a bit of a midnight snack if you will, just so I was nice and warm for you to hold.”

“You didn’t know for certain I was coming here though.”

Dio grinned mischievously, whispering in Pucci’s ear. “No? Well, let’s say I had more than a feeling you would succumb to my proposition. I know you ever so well, Enrico~” He huskily drew out about syllable of his first name as he leant down to kiss the back of his neck and nibble at his ear playfully, exuding a pleasant sigh from Pucci in response.

“I appreciate the incense and candles Dio. A very nice touch indeed to try and get me to do this more often I assume?” Pucci smirked to himself and began running his hand down Dio’s chiselled body, down towards his abdomen and attempted to venture further but was stopped by Dio’s hand.

Dio laughed and stroked Pucci’s head, fingers running through his white hair and guided him to rest against his chest. “Shhh my love, you’re exhausted I can hear it in your voice. We can talk more tomorrow. I need you in perfect condition for all the plans you and I have to discuss while you’re here.”

Pucci felt himself falling asleep, nuzzling his head into Dio’s chest and inhaling his beautiful scent. So uniquely Dio.

Dio smiled. Looking down at Pucci in a longing stare and exhales happily as Pucci was already in a deep sleep, lips slightly parted and face at complete peace. Dio continued to stroke the hair running down his face in complete bliss.

“What are you doing to me Enrico Pucci…” Dio felt himself chuckle and closed his eyes leaning his head on top of Pucci.
