(Don't) Fly Away

Summary:

Jason makes an offer Dick wasn't expecting.

Work Text:

The orgasm seemed to fill him from the roots of his hair to the tips of his toes, and Dick could only gasp and cling to Jason's shoulders with nails that bit deep into flesh as it seemed to go on, and on, and on.

Somewhere in there, Jason must have come too, Dick could feel it in the wet spill within him, in the way the man groaned and shuddered and thrust it out.

Finally, Jason pulled out and rolled to the side as they both fought to catch their breathe. The both of them had already been worked up for separate reasons when Dick had shown up at Jason's apartment and leapt on him in a fierce clash of tongue and teeth. Dick didn't know about Jason, but the way the other man had worked him over had been exactly what Dick needed to get rid of most of his frustration and start seeing things with a clearer head.

It'd be pretty inconsiderate of Dick to repay that favor by encroaching on the man's space longer than Jason was comfortable with.

With one last deep breath that was almost a sigh, Dick rolled over and began pushing himself from the bed.

Only to be stopped as one large hand fell flat against his chest and pushed down.

Dick turned puzzled eyes on the owner of that hand, trying to catch the man's gaze even as Jason resolutely avoided it.

"Don't have to fly away yet, pretty bird." Jason said with a voice gone hoarse with the aftereffects of what they'd just been doing and a million other things, besides. "You can stay, if you want."

It felt like Jason had just set loose a million butterflies in his stomach. The almost-request was made with a vulnerability that Jason rarely showed, and Dick wasn't about to do something to make him regret it. Not when he wanted what Jason was offering so badly.

"Alright." He said carefully, as he edged closer to Jason's side and was inwardly ecstatic when the man wrapped an arm around him, "But I want breakfast in the morning."
