Chapter Text
Izuku stood alone on that roof.
His idol, All Might, told him that he could never become a hero by being quirkless.
Bad luck for him, it's also the day when Kacchan (could he still calling him that ?) had told him to jump from the roof of a building.
And Izuku Midoriya, being a teenager not very well mentally, what does he do ? Well he approaches the edge and is about to jump !
He thinks back to his life, to when everything went wrong.
Everything went wrong when he was 4 years old, at his diagnosis.
It was at this point that Kacchan- no, Bakugo, he had lost the right to call him Kacchan at his diagnosis of quirkless- had started to hurt him, to intimidate him.
That's when his father left and his mother despised him.
It was at this moment that he lost being a human.
Izuku had always thought that he would die a villain, in a heroic way, or by sacrificing himself for the good cause ; he had never thought of dying by suicide.
Midoriya turned around and leaned back until he fell. The evening wind whipped his back, but he didn't mind.
Izuku looked at the sky as he fell to his death, he saw that it was a full moon night, he remembers evenings when he and Bakugo looked at the stars and the moon on full moon nights with the help of a Telescope; he misses those moments.
As he got closer to the ground, he closed his eyes, ignoring the small white shape that was heading towards him.
A disgusting noise was heard as Izuku hit the ground dying.
--
Nezu wasn't without emotions as some think, he just had a hard time feeling them.
But when Nezu was passing in a street, and he saw in the distance a silhouette falling, he rushed towards where the child (teenager ?) fell hoping to arrive in time to catch him.
But the sound the body made as it crashed to the ground when Nezu was a few centimeters away from him, told him he was a few seconds late.
Nezu took the louse from the boy, and he found nothing.
Nezu took a few moments to take a better look at the child, he was so small, so thin, his hair was a bit dirty dark green, his black uniform was burnt and he himself had a lot of burns on his body.
He felt sorry for the boy who was definitely too young for that.
He called Tsukauchi.
"Tsukauchi, could you come to *address* ?" Nezu asked as Tsukauchi had just picked up.
"Yeah, why ?" asked the detective.
"A kid is committing suicide, I arrived when he touched the ground." explained the chimera.
"I'll be there in a few minutes. Is he dead ?" he asked.
Nezu continued to stare at the boy's body, answering with a simple "yes".
-
Izuku Midoriya had always known that life was unfair, he knew humans had always been bad, even before the Quirks.
Except that before it was about physics, if you were beautiful you had friends, if you were ugly you were hated. Now if you have a flashy or loud quirk you have friends, if you have a mean, weak or quirkless quirk you have no friends and you get bullied.
Nothing has changed, only the reasons have changed.
Izuku would have preferred to live in a time when quirks didn't exist. He heard it was easier to have friends before, even being ugly.
Izuku would have liked to live in another era, but it was impossible. He had to settle for this world with people with quirks when he didn't and despised him for something he didn't control.
But that no longer mattered.
He was dead now.
He would never have to deal with bullying again, and if he is, he will be sent to a place where there are quirkless people like him who are also dead !
But there's one thing wrong, if he's dead... WHY DID HE CAN OPEN HIS FUCKING EYES ?!
-
Nezu and Tsukauchi, who had just arrived there, saw Izuku's body come back to life. He opened his eyes.
Tsukauchi and Nezu stood in shock as the child stood up, stared at the sky and screamed.
"LIFE SERIOUSLY ?! EVEN YOU WANT TO SEE ME SUFFER ?! YOU DON'T EVEN WANT ME TO DIE ! DEATH DON'T EVEN WANT ME ! IN WHAT KIND OF WORLD DOES DEATH REFUSE A SOUL ?!" the green haired boy scream.
After screaming, the child took a breath before turning to the UA director and the detective.
He looked at them so tiredly that Nezu wondered what the kid had lived to look like.
"Sorry for wasting your time." The boy apologized.
"It's nothing ?" Said Tsukauchi even though it sounded more like a question. He would need at least 6 cups of coffee after what he saw.
"Tell us, what's your name ?" Nezu asked.
"Izuku Midoriya, and you're the director of UA, Nezu and the other and Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa, aren't you ?" Said the boy —Izuku—
"Exact !" Nezu exclaimed. "Are these your notebooks ?" Asked the chimera.
Nezu had decided to take the teenager's bag (Izuku had jumped with it) after the call with Tsukauchi, and rummaged through it a bit. He found notebooks and, curious, decided to read them.
"Uh.. yeah, why ?" Izuku asked as he put his notebooks back in his bag, then put it on his back after closing the bag.
"Your analyzes are all very well written !" Nezu said happily as his tail waggled and Tsukauchi paled. "What's your quirk ?"
"I'm quirkless, I was diagnosed when I was 4 years old." Izuku explained with a sigh. "But I guess with what just happened, I have a quirk of immortality.." he sighed at the end of that sentence.
-
Izuku knew he had screwed up now that he had an immortality quirk. Katsuki and the others will now kill him every time to improve their quirks...great !
Life really hate him, huh ?
Tsukauchi said they were going to take him to the hospital and talk once there, Izuku nodded – what else could he do ? The two had seen him, and he'd be surprised if he got away with it without a long discussion of why he jumped–
--
Izuku was in a hospital bed talking to Nezu, Tsukauchi had to leave for an emergency earlier in the evening —night ?— leaving him alone with the rat/bear/ermine.
He had explained everything to the detective and to Nezu, everything from the beginning, and Nezu had started plotting against Aldera Middle School and against his mother.
He didn't name his bullies —he didn't want to be the cause of murders— not wanting to ruin their futures.
"Tell me Izuku, would you agree to test my employees as well as my future students ?" Asked Nezu had a smile.
Izuku agreed, not seeing the problem.
Nezu smiled even more and his tail waggled behind him as he explained how they were going to do this.
He and Nezu shook hands after Nezu finished explaining.
It was going to be a very funny year ahead.
Somewhere in UA, Aizawa felt a shiver run down his spine.
He had a very, very bad feeling.
