"Uhhhh, Vamps? I think you've had enough..."
"*hic* Weeeeell, hehe...I bess you getter come up here and-*hic!*-stop me...Sp...Spurkling Cookie...haha-*hic!*"
You walked into the juice bar, a smile on your face that was about to be wiped off once you saw the state your friend was in. "Hi, Sparkling Cookie! What's going-! ...Oh NO..."
"Sorry..." Sparkling Cookie apologized as Vampire Cookie hovered lazily above the ceiling in his bat form. "I turned my back for one second and he drank the whole place dry..."
"Vampire Cookie, even ONE bottle of juice is too much!" you slammed your hands on the bar counter, littered with many of Vampire Cookie's juice glasses. "You need to come down NOW! You'll get hurt!"
"I'm not bat gad-*hic!*" he insisted. "Look...you're a-*hic!*-smart Cookie, a'ight? I'm at that p-perfect level of b-buzz where I fly-*hic!*-better!"
You rose your brow skeptically. "'Better'?"
"Can you at LEAST angle yourself so you don't hit the fan?" Sparkling Cookie called up to him. "I paid a lot of money for that!"
"Oh, SCREW you guys! *hic!* This is u-unDEBIANBLY-*hic!*-the bestest I've ever-"
*WHACK*
Vampire Cookie flew too close to the ceiling fan and was thrown clear. You gawked in horror, expecting the worst, but luckily, another bar patron came through the door at the right time and stopped him from soaring out the window. "Whoa! That was close!"
Letting out the sigh of relief you were holding, you rushed over to the white Cookie's side, picking your-now sleepy friend up off of him. "Thanks for that, I owe you. I'll take him from here."
"It's nothing, Miss (Y/N) Cookie! Vampire Cookie's lucky to have a friend like you looking out for him!"
You rolled your eyes, grateful for the compliment but annoyed at how true it was. "Yeah, well, I've been looking out for him one too many times. Sometimes I wonder how this ever came to be..."
You pondered that same question as you dragged your sleepy friend home for the night. "You promised you'd be home by the time the moon was half-waned," you scolded him. "Why do you keep doing this??"
"Well, DUHHHH~" Vampire Cookie slurred back. "EVERYONE knows the moon is made out of marshmallows..."
"This always happens, Vampire Cookie! You get drunk and I have to drag your sorry butt home! Do you ever stop to think about how *I* feel?! How much I worry about you...?"
"You can't say thaaaat...*hic!* It's an intimidate...thingieeeeeeeee..."
You groaned, finally at your limit. You were probably sure you would have given him a good swat to snap him out of it if he hadn't done what he did next. Before you could react, he had wrapped both of his arms around your neck and leaned in close, making your face burn red. "V-Vampire Cookie?!"
Vampire Cookie grinned, showing his gleaming fangs. "Yurrrrrr...the Cookie of my dreams~...hehehehe..."
"W...What...?"
"Yur never around anymooooooore...I miss-*hic!*-having you close by..."
"What?!"
"Heeeeey...wanna kiiiiiiiss~...?"
"WHAT?!"
"Pucker up, pretty~"
You were frozen as Vampire Cookie got closer and closer to your face. Your heart pounded out of your chest as his lips were inches from yours.
But, just before contact was made, you shoved him off of you again. "No...! I won't stoop so low!"
You readjusted his arms so they looped around your shoulder again and kept walking. "C'mon. Alchemist Cookie must be worried."
"Nooooooooo, I won't WANNA-*hic!*-go to school..."

"Will he be okay?"
"His juice intake was at a higher level than usual, but it's to be expected of my idiot brother. He'll be fine."
You head your head rest on the back of the couch as you sighed deeply. "How does this keep happening...? The more I try to keep him in line, the more he goes off. What am I doing wrong, Alchemist Cookie?"
Alchemist Cookie facepalmed. "No WONDER you two are friends. You're just as dense as he is if you still can't see it!"
"Huh?"
"My brother LIKES you, Crumb-for-Brains! A lot! But you're always so busy running around and trying to make sure he's alright, you don't take the time to hang out with him! So he goes off and cries into his juice about it JUST so you'll pay attention to him!"
You felt a blush creep onto your face again. Was that really how Vampire Cookie felt? He just wanted to be around you?
Alchemist Cookie immediately sensed what you desired to make up for. "...He's upstairs in his bed."
Giving her a silent nod of thanks, you climbed the stairs to his room and opened the door quietly. There he was, sprawled out over the covers, fast asleep. Unable to hide a small smile at the sight, you sat down at the side and rolled into a laying position next to him, taking in his sweet breath, which still smelled vaguely of juice.
His eyelids flickered half-open, his pupils trying to focus on who was in front of him. "Egh...(Y/N) Cookie...? What's...?"
"Shhhhhhh..." you draped an arm over him and wriggled closer to shut him up. "You wanted to spend more time with me, right? Well, let's not waste the morning...it's the best I can do, for now."
Vampire Cookie was still a bit disoriented, but as soon as he figured out you weren't going anywhere, he returned your smile and snuggled up closer to you. It was then, for the first time, you realized you were wishing this morning would never end...
