Work Text:
The rain is pelting against my umbrella as I walk across the muddy trail. I can hear cars driving past in the distance through the road and the sound of my steps as I narrowly try to avoid stepping into a puddle.
The rain and the autumn forest create a pleasant and unique smell, that is somewhere between fresh and musky.
A strong breeze winds through the forest, making the trees sway and bringing down some loose leaves from the trees. I can see that the ground is muddy and puddles have formed all along the most walked parts of the trail.
The rain is slowly soaking through my pants, making walking an unpleasant and cold experience. My toes have long since frozen from the cold, as my shoes and socks have been wet ever since I stepped outside.
