Jungkook had been working out of town for a few days now. If you were to ask Jimin it had been far too long, and it felt like an eternity.
When in fact it hadn’t been. It had only been 3 days if he was being honest but he missed his husband so much that it was beginning to feel impossible to go another day without him.
But Jungkook wasn’t scheduled to come back home until Friday.. that was far too long. What made it worse was that it would be their first Valentine’s Day that they wouldn’t spend together. They’ve been together for eight years now and unfortunately, with Jungkook taking over his fathers company he had some business he needed to take care of in Paris.
This could not have come at a worst time, because not only was it far more days than Jimin was used to spending without him (1 or two days max) but this time it was a whole week and not only was Jimin feeling needy, but the one that worried about everyone else getting sick had caught a dreaded cold.
The night before Valentine’s Day Jungkook apologized for the thousandth time about not being able to make it home for Valentine’s Day, he knew how much Jimin loved spending it together and celebrating holidays even if they both knew that they were cliche. So that’s when he devised a plan, he would fly back home after his final meeting of the day and head back to Japan the next day. Except Jimin got sick, so now he needed to get back home as soon as possible.
Jimin was trying to be understanding and honestly he felt like absolute crap, luckily for him Taehyung had stopped earlier in the day to check on him. bring him food, medicine and spend some time together before he went out on his date with Yoongi.
It was about 4:00 PM when Bam began barking at the door and running circles around Jimin. Jimin could not figure out what had him so worked up.
“What’s wrong good boy? You want to go for a walk again? Let me just grab a goat and shoes.” He said but Bam was just growing desperate.
Jimin made his way to the front door and as he goes to reach a hand and open it, there he is. Jungkook standing there, holding two dozen roses and a box filled with macaroons.
“Y-you’re home!?, wait am I dreaming? Are you actually here?” Jimin said as he reached to pinch hisself.
“Auch, that hurt. You’re really here” he let out. “I’m here baby, I wouldn’t dream of spending today anywhere else. I just wanted to surprise you and take care of you. happy Valentine’s Day my love.”.
Needless to say, Bam didn’t go on a walk, he cuddled up to Jungkook and Jimin where they spent the next few hours together. They went to bed that night with Jimin feeling lighter and Jungkook happy to see that beautiful smile on Jimins face.
