Not My Yacht

Summary:

You meet Rafael Barba on your godfathers yacht on a weekend trip to Martha's Vineyard. Things ensue.

Chapter 1: First Night.

Chapter Text

It was not the first time Rafael had been invited on the My SeaShanty , nor the first time he had been invited on one of John Fitzwilliams yachts. It was the first Martha’s Vineyard trip he had been invited on. A two day trip. Friday evening to Sunday evening. Of course he was late boarding, a late case requiring his attention so once he finally boarded everyone had already been on board for a few hours.

John was the first to greet him. Giving him a clapping hug, he was quick to pull him outside to introduce him to everyone.

The first time you see him is when John brings him up to the aft deck. You’re sitting in one of the lounge chairs, a champagne flute in hand. He’s short but not as short as John, though starkly more attractive. Dark hair sprinkled with gray but not enough to put you off. He was probably the closest in age to yourself of everyone on board. Sharply dressed in a navy suit and white shirt, the top unbuttoned with no tie. The man seemed as successful as the rest of John's guests. Everyone seemed to have some sort of exceptionality requirement to be on the boat. John quickly introduced the new man.

“This is Rafael Barba, the best prosecutor in New York.”

Rafael laughs at the introduction but doesn’t object. Something you note, hoping he wasn’t the boastful type. You sit up and stick out your hand, which he takes carefully to shake. Which he does and lets go gently.

“Rafael, this is my goddaughter.”

“Pleasure to meet you.”

“Pleasure Rafael. Always good to hear my godfather is spending his time with good influential company.”

John laughs but is distracted by his wife Delilah, who calls him over to another conversation. A stewardess comes by and replaces your drink while handing one to Rafael.

“Tell me Rafael.” Rafael nods through his first sip so you continue. “You don’t seem the gossiping type but how many drinks do I need to get in you to chat about the rest of the guests.”

“I don’t gossip but my lips are sealed with any number of drinks.”

You smile genuinely. You were already more than a few drinks in, the endless champagne was too many to count. Shifting to sit where Rafael could sit on the same round lounge, you watch him. If you were any more sober, you would have kept your mouth shut.

“Delilah just got laser hair removal so she isn’t supposed to be in the sun so if you were hoping to hide anypoint this trip, good luck.” Rafael suppresses a chuckle and you almost laugh at his response. As if he wasn’t expecting to hear this kind of gossip. “John doesn’t know so he thinks she’s just avoiding getting sunburned.”

Both of you watch as Delilah adjusts her large sun hat and carefully avoids stepping out of the covered part of the deck. Rafael looks back at you. You really hoped that he wasn’t going to go tell John about this.

“What about Ryan?”

“I don’t know. I couldn’t get anything out of him other than him telling me Yale was better than Havard.”

“You went to Harvard?”

“Where else?”

“So did I. Where did you get housed?”

“Lowell.”

“So was I.”

“Really?”

You nearly spilled your drink turning back towards him. Rafael reached out to steady you. Before you could start on a rant a stewardess showed up and announced dinner was going to be ready by the end of the hour. Realizing you needed to change, you shut your mouth quickly. The rest of John’s friends were headed downstairs.

Rafael  stood up and offered you his hand which you took carefully. Standing up carefully, you let go of his hand. For a second there was tension. He motioned for you to go ahead of him so you did. Through the boat and down the stairs you went. Each door down the hallway had a name plate, for each guest. John had put you at the end of the hallway, next to Rafael. You almost laugh at the next door placement of the only age appropriate man on the boat.

“I have more questions for you later.”

“Alright.” Rafael laughed softly. God his laugh was becoming more attractive. “See you in a minute.”

You just nod and head into your cabin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The knock at your cabin door is surprising. You’re almost ready so you answer. It’s John, all smiles and ready for dinner.
“Are you ready?”
“For dinner? Almost. For this weekend absolutely.”
“Of course you are.” You fake laugh at the tease. “You never shut up about these trips.”
“Yeah, they are fun.”
“You better not embarrass me on this trip. Just because your dad is gone doesn’t mean you can behave like a child.”
“I won’t. Okay?” You turn towards the dresser which had your jewelry laid out on it. “I need to finish getting ready. I’ll see you upstairs.”
John nodded as if he had done something important by speaking to you like that. You just rolled your eyes when he turned to leave.
Eventually you made your way upstairs. The previous conversation left a nasty taste in your mouth. You make your way to the outdoor dining area and find there are two empty seats at the opposite end of the table from John. You take the one furthest from John and wait for the last person to join, which of course is Rafael. He didn’t seem to be on time for most things. Rafael arrived only a few minutes later.
He smiled at you when he saw where he was sitting and took his seat carefully. You opened your mouth to speak to him but Delilah, who was on the other side of him, spoke first. That was the beginning of a very long meal where you didn’t get to get a word in to anyone at the table. Everyone, already preoccupied by conversations or outright ignoring you. That was a kick to the ego but you tried to enjoy the food and drink as much as you physically could.
When dessert came out and Delilah finally took a few minutes to eat normally, Rafael gave you a nudge with his knee. You knew his idea of dinner fun would not have included being stuck talking to Delilah about everything wrong in her life. You nudged him back just moments before she started up again.
Once dinner was over, Delilah and John eventually said their goodnights. Rafael looks to you almost excitedly, like he had something to tell you. You take the hint and stand up slowly, grabbing your glass. No one noticed you get up so you nudged Rafael.
You motion for Rafael to follow you to the bow which has a large lounge bed that had enough room for a half dozen people. Rafael took your glass in one hand and helped you step up on it with the other. Once you were settled, you took the glasses from him as he clamorred on. Sitting with his legs tucked to the side.
“If I didn’t know any better I’d think you were trying to get me in trouble.”
“In trouble? Trouble isn’t even in my vocabulary.”
“I thought it was your middle name.”
You cover your mouth in shock and start to laugh. When Rafael starts to laugh, you laugh harder with the alcohol really hitting you. When you regain your composure, Rafael is looking at you, really just staring at you. You don’t blush because the alcohol already has you red in the face but you wonder why.
“I wanted to ask why John spoke to you like that before dinner.”
“Like what?”
“Like you were a rebellious teenager.”
“You heard that?”
“I wasn’t eavesdropping, I’m sorry-”
“No, no, no, it’s fine. He just gets ruder to me as I get older, I’m not sure why.”
“You’re what” Rafael paused like he was going to guess your age and you put a hand up to stop him.
“I am twenty eight thank you very much,”
“I wasn’t going to guess thirty if that’s what you were thinking.” You nodded sarcastically as if you didn’t believe him. “I’m just saying you’re young and he probably resents that.”
“I think he resents me for not making the same mistakes he and my father did.”
“Is that not the point of raising kids? For them to not make the same mistakes that you did.”
“I guess so.”
Rafael finishes off his drink. “Tell me about yourself.”
“Would you like to hear what you’ll find on google or what you won’t.”
“Both… Google first.”
You pep up and finish off your drink. “Okay, Okay. I am the only daughter of Emile and Charles Vance and an heiress-” you laughed at that word, “of the Vance baked bean fortune. From Chicago but raised in Europe. Chronically unemployed but never been to rehab.”
“Chronically unemployed?”
“I want to do my own thing but when people find out who I am, they think I’m a corporate spy or going to quit to run to Europe for the weekend.”
“An heiress? Really? You don’t-” You stopped him before he could finish that statement.
“You really think anyone on his boat wouldn’t be either successful or rich? John only hosts these things to make himself look good. I mean look at you.”
“Look at me?”
“This- This might be the alcohol talking but like look at you.”
You’re giggling by the time you’re done talking but when he joins in with you. His laugh is infectious. Placing a hand on his forearm, your touch is light. He’s going to ask you something but he can’t spit it out. Everything about the moment is building up something you’re not sure what’s going to happen. The way he’s looking at you, the atmosphere of being alone on the yacht, and certainly the wine isn’t helping. The tension is real and you’re living for it. You realize how close you are to Rafael. Rafael has noticed too and you both lean in.
Footsteps make both of you pull back immediately. You both look over to see one of the deckhands, who looks guilty, coming towards the two of you. She’s immediately apologetic. You were just glad it wasn’t another guest, or worse, John.
“So sorry to interrupt, we’re about to start moving-” She’s interrupted by her radio going off.
You both can take the hint. Rafael is first off of the lounge bed and is quick to help you off of the bed. His hands not leaving you even when you’d caught your balance. The deckhand apologizes again and heads towards some ropes at the front of the bow. Rafael was quick to pull you back inside. You were happy to follow him.
You giggled as the two of you avoided the main living room where the rest of the guests had gathered after dinner. His grip on your arm tightened slightly. You followed him through a side door and past a stewardess who was half in the galley half in the hallway. She gave you a smile and you returned it. Eventually you make it down the hallway to your rooms.  You really wanted to kiss him but the hallway was not the place to do it.
Rafael hesitated before taking your hand in his and kissing it. Then he let your hand go and took a step back from you.
“Have a goodnight.”
You were surprised. Your face surely showed how confused you were. He hesitated again before moving towards his door.
“Goodnight.” You finally managed to spit out.
Rafael smiled and turned to enter his room. You waited until he had shut the door behind him before you entered your room. Confused and a bit frustrated you started pacing. What had changed all of a sudden? Why almost kiss you and then not? Was he married? You had a lot of questions and no way to get answers that didn’t include outright asking him.
Deciding it wasn’t worth it to wallow in your frustration, you started getting ready for bed. You had gotten your dress halfway when there was a knock at the door. Assuming it was John or literally anyone else you went and opened the door. It was Rafael. All you could do was raise your eyebrows before Rafael quickly stepped towards you and kissed you.
That was not what you expected. The action only confused you more. You eventually pulled away much to his disappointment. His hands settling on your waist.
“Are you married?”
“No! Why?”
“Why? You just left me hanging out in the hallway for seemingly no reason.”
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have. It wasn’t my intention-”
“Just be straight with me Rafael. Either you’re interested or not.”
“I am very interested.”
You hesitated. You really shouldn’t be letting a man who just left you hanging into your room but your self control was not fully there after a night of drinking. So instead of asking him to leave, you kissed him. Rafael shut the door quickly behind him as he stepped further inside to continue kissing you.
Rafael was quick to find your zipper and undid it the rest of the way. The dress fell off of your shoulders and pooled at your feet. Leaving you just in underwear. He was quick to caress the bare skin that he now had access to. He was slow and methodical about it. His hands never really left your waist, despite you wanting him to touch you elsewhere.
After kissing you for what felt like an hour, he slowly started guiding you towards the bed. When your knees hit the bed, you let yourself sit down, breaking the kiss. Rafael took the opportunity to take off his coat. He kissed you once quickly before gently pushing you onto your back. He fell to his knees and you automatically spread your legs for him.
Rafael kissed your inner thighs and ghosted his lips over your underwear. He took his time before finally pulling your underwear off. Gentle and soft, he slowly starts kissing around your groin. When his lips finally make contact with your clit, you moan. Which seems to encourage him. His tongue starts doing wicked things to you. His hands inching closer. They were cold in comparison to how hot your skin was. It started off with one finger but when he felt how wet you already were, he added another one. He pumped them in and out, curling to hit the right spot every single time. You tried to stifle your moans but at this point you just hoped no one could hear you. Eventually the combination of his tongue and fingers got to you. You could feel the pressure building up quickly. Rafael never stopped even when you finally came, he kept up his pace until you started squirming underneath him.
He gently kissed your inner thighs again. You lifted your head to look at him and he grinned, god he was handsome when he did that. You sat up and he stood up. He unbuttoned his shirt and you started at his pants. Unbuckling his belt you wished he would tie you up with, you unbuttoned and unzipped his pants. Pulling them down you weren’t prepared for the cock you were met with. Even still restrained by his boxers, you knew he was going to be a lot to handle. You looked up at him and he paused to lean down to kiss you.
Rafael pulled off his shirt and undershirt while you pulled down his boxers. He stepped out of his pants and boxers, finally just as naked as you were. You hated how much you liked him naked. He leaned down to kiss you again and you reached up to hold his face while he did so. Then he pulled back to whisper in your ear.
“Scoot back hun.”
Which you happily did. You got another good look at his cock when you did so. Long and girthy but not enough to be painful. Perfect. You almost complimented him on it but decided internally it was the alcohol speaking. Rafael got onto the bed as you scooted back. Your head now rested on a pillow so you could watch him. He took his cock in his hand and pumped it a few times. Spitting into the hand he just pumped himself with, he spread it on himself before turning his attention to you.
Your legs were already spread for him. He shuffled in between them before teasing the head of his cock on your sensitive clit. Lining himself up to you, he was very slow pushing into you, like he didn’t want to hurt you. You were overcome with the feeling of fullness. He leaned down and kissed you again. He kissed you until he was all the way inside of you. Then he pulled back and started thrusting.
When you met him hours ago, you did not expect to be fucked by Rafael but god were you glad that you were. He held your legs open and up as he fucked you slowly but surely. His rhythm never faltered, his speed only increasing with time. It was a gentle yet continuous fuck. Eventually it wasn’t so gentle and you weren’t able to keep quiet. Moaning as he nearly slammed into you. He kept up the pace for longer than you expected before pulling out and cumming hard onto your front.
He leaned down to kiss you, which you kissed him back hungrily. After he caught his breath, he pulled back and got up. Searching for a towel which he found in the bathroom. He came back and carefully cleaned you up before cleaning himself up. He dropped the towel on the floor and got back on the bed, pulling you close to him. He kissed you softly. You were happy to have him hold you so close.
Eventually both of you calmed down from the activities.
“I hope no one heard us.” You said with a laugh.
Rafael kissed your shoulder. “We’ll know in the morning.”
You nodded. It was either going to be fine or hell to pay in the morning but you were prepared for either.
“I can go whenever you want me to.” Rafael said softly.
“Stay.”
You didn’t have to tell him twice. While you reached over to turn off the lights, Rafael got underneath the covers and helped you get underneath them as well. He wrapped an arm around your waist and pulled you tight to him. You wished this would last.
