That was a normal day at the lab so far, and Peter worked on red-wing since he came from school, while the hamilton soundtrack was playing in the background.
“Hey Pete, have you even seen that musical that you hear it so much?” Mr. Stark asked, looking up from his project.
“I wish” Peter sighed “it was up with the original cast last time in 2016, and I haven’t listened to it then, and even if I had, I wouldn’t have found tickets or could pay for them… I came once with the cast who performed that a year ago, but that wasn’t the same…”
“Okay, and if you could see the original now, who would you go with? If you could take as many people as you want?”
“Well, you and May, and Harley of course, and if I could have everyone? I think all of the avengers and Pepper, and Ned and MJ of course” Peter thought for a second and then “actually all of the decathlon team now that flash’s not there”
“That’s great, and can you give me a hand with that?” Mr. Stark asked. It kind of hurt Peter that his dad’s tone sounded like he didn't even care, but he went to help him nonetheless.

“Hey Mr. Stark, can.. can I have Netflix?” Peter looked really hesitant and nervous to finally ask something he really wanted from his father figure
“Sure, I’ll get you for your birthday” he said, not paying a lot of attention
“Thanks dad” Peter said, relieved that he wasn’t turned down and put this behind him.

“Mr. Stark? What’s going on?” Peter asked, While Mr. Stark led him from the car, his eyes covered with a scarf.
“There is a stair, watch out” Mr. Stark said instead of answering.
Finally they got to a stop. Mr. Stark untied the scarf and Peter saw a theatre.
“What is going on Mr. Stark?” Peter asked, but Mr. Stark just told him to choose a seat. He chose one in the end of the first third of the theatre, just in the middle of the row.
“Okay everyone, come in!” Mr. Stark shouted. Peter saw all of the most important people to him come in, including all of the avengers, they all set in his row or the one behind, then he saw Mr. Harrington came with all of the decathlon team from the other side, Ned and MJ seated right below him. “Happy Birthday” Mr. Stark whispered as the curtain opened.
“Wait, is that?..” Peter asked looking shocked as he recognised the set.
“Yep, that's all the people you wanted with you, right?” His father asked, looking softly at Peter’s excitement.
“Thank you so much dad” Peter said, tears in his eyes.
And if Tony looked proudly and lovingly at Peter during “dear Theodosia” and then cried and hugged Peter extra tightly during Philip’s death scene no one needed to know about that.

“Okay okay, it’s gifts time!” Mr. Stark shouted
After most of the people gave him their gifts, May gave her to him in the morning, and Harley said he would give it to him later in private, only Mr. Stark was left.
“Okay, it’s my turn!” He said excitedly and gave Peter quite a lot of them. Inside there were a laptop, new pastel shoes he had wanted, a watch, and quite a few wark and event suits Mr. Stark said he’ll need to his role as the heir to Stark Industries (which was a whole surprise by itself, even if Mr. Stark thought it was obvious)
“I hope that this is all, it’s so much already” Peter said and heard a few people snoring, Pepper mattering “do you really think that it’s all? It’s Tony”
“Of course not!” Tony said enthusiastically, “those were the small ones!”
“The small ones?!” Peter asked, eyes bugged.
“Well, you’re aunt said that you would take my gifts and give them to people who needs it, so that you wouldn’t do that, I give you that” Mr. Stark said and gave him a credit card “it has 100,000 dollars on it. For all I care you can use them to yourself, but i give you that because I know you’re too pure and good, and will use it for the purpose it has, to donate to others, you can decide how to divide the money and who you want to give this to”
“W-What?” Peter was full on crying now, and then seemed to understand what’s happening “th-thank you so much dad, this is amazing”
“I have more, you remember you said you couldn’t see that anywhere? Well I got people to film when we watched, so you can rewatch it. And I also got them with an agreement with Netflix so other people like you could see it as well. Actually, it only need your signature to be legal” he said, holding out a paper to Peter
Peter signed, and then remembered to ask “why do they need my signature for?”
“Well, as the owner of the company they need your signature to approve such big contracts”
“Wait, what? Owner? What are you talking about?” Peter asked confused
“What do you mean? Netflix is the only thing that you actually asked me to get you to your birthday” Tony said
“I meant an account, not the whole company!” Peter said nervously
“Well, too late now, it’s yours.” He shrugged “Well, I guess that you could just ask and they would give you an account.”

Later that night, when Peter and Harley were with the rest of the avengers on the couches, most of them asleep, Harley started to talk.
“Come on” he said
“Where? Why?” Peter asked
“Our room. I still need to give you your gift” Harley explained.
“So, where is my gift?” Peter asked when they came into their room “I’m already curious”
“Let’s sit,” Harley said, settling on the window. “I like sitting there with you watching the stars”
Harley opened the window, letting the light summer breeze come into the room. He brought a little blanket and put it around Peter’s shoulders. They sat on the edge of the window, side by side, feets dangling thousands of meters above the ground, both knowing that they can stop themselves if they fall, and even if they can't, the other one will catch them.
“Thanks” Peter said, cuddling into the blanket and to Harley’s side, looking at the lights of New York below them.
Harley took out of his pocket a small box, covered with a dark blue velvet.
“That’s small…” Peter said, examining the box “and I’m guessing it’s some sort of jewellery… right?”
“It is jewellery,” said Harley, “but not just any jewellery…”
“You’re not proposing, right, Harls?” Peter joked and opened the box.
“Happy birthday, my love” Harley said, looking at Peter with eyes filled with love.
Inside the box there was a delicate, silver ring, with two beautiful gemstones, each in a tear shape and together they make a small heart. The gems are blue and red, just the colours of Peter's spider suit.
“Those gemstones are called ruby and sapphire” explained Harley
“Wow…” stuttered Peter “it’s amazing, Harls…” he took the ring out of the box and put it on his finger. It fitted perfectly.
“The seller in the store told me that for loving couples it’s recommended to give either the ruby or the sapphire, because the ruby, the red gem, represents love, and the sapphire represents promise of honesty, loyalty, purity and trust, together they help the relationship and symbolizes their commitment to each other. They help us understand that everything is done in his time. You can’t rush time, what is supposed to happen - will happen in his own time.”
“So what are you saying, Harley?” Peter asked, confused. He looked between Harley and the shining ring on his finger, “what are you trying to say?”
Harley’s lips trembled. “Pete,” he said and took Peter’s hand, “I know it’s still early, I know we’re young… but this ring… this ring is a promise ring. It’s a ring that tells you about my intentions.”
Peter’s eyes were wide open, and he felt like his heart was going to burst out of his chest at every moment.
“I love you, Peter,” Harley said “I love you more than I ever have loved, I love you in an absolute way, fully. You complete me. With you I feel calm, peaceful, happy.”
“I want to be with you forever, Peter,” Harley continued and looked deep into Peter’s eyes “I want to marry you someday, maybe have children, I want us to live together and love each other forever.”
“Harls…” Peter stuttered, “I don’t know what to say…”
“You don’t have to say anything,” Harley calmed him down and let go of his hand, “I prepared this short speech for so long, it wouldn’t be fair for me to expect from you to respond without thinking about it before…”
“But…” Peter said, his eyes filling with tears, “I love you too, Harls. I love you more than I have ever loved. I want to live with you forever! Harls… I promise to wear that ring till the day I die”
Harley closed the space between their lips with a long loving kiss.
When they broke the kiss Harley smiled “There is a full moon tonight” he said “and look how many stars shine for you, just for your birthday”
Peter looked outside, his head on Harley’s shoulder, and didn’t want that moment to end. He hoped to be like this forever, in love, happy, looking like this at the stars.
