Scaramouche blinks his eyes. The sunlight greeted him lightly, caressing his skin with its warmth. It makes him want to go back to sleep. If only someone didn’t open the curtains more widely, letting the sun pour its light on him more freely.
“Uugh,” he grunts in annoyance. Who is it that opens the curtain this widely? He lives alone and there’s no way the curtain can open up itself.
Realizing that something is not right, Scaramouche opens his eyes wide. He lifts his body so suddenly it makes the other people besides him flinch in shock.
They quickly bowed their head and said in unison, “Good morning, Your highness.”
“???”
Scaramouche can only look at them with confusion in his eyes.

What in the world happened to him? And, where is this?
After one week of roaming around here and there and acting high and mighty (because everyone called him ‘Your highness’), he finally got his answer. This world is a world inside an otome game he played. The setting is about a twin, a girl and a boy, the children of a respectable and noble family who were loved by everyone. In the game, depends on who you pick as the main character, the other will be the main villain. If you pick the girl, the boy will be the villain. Or if you’re unlucky, the sibling won’t be the villain, but, they’ll die protecting you.
Because it’s a dating sim, of course, there will be some capture targets.
There are 5 capture targets. The first one is Diluc Ragnvindr, the wine tycoon from Mondstadt and the richest man in the country. He’s handsome. Having red hair and red eyes. Because he has noble blood and of a direct descendant of Mondstadt’s royal family, Diluc is someone who you call a gentleman.
The second one is Zhongli, the Emperor of Liyue. With golden eyes and hair the color of earth. Nothing can be said about him except that he’s handsome and wise. He has the highest reputation in Liyue and people across his country know about his wise ruling. Everyone praise and respect him. Even his mother, Queen Ei, said that Zhongli is the wisest ruler she ever knows.
The third is Childe. Real name Ajax. But, everyone knows him as Prince Childe. The eleventh prince of Snezhnaya, the nation governed by Queen Tsaritsa. He doesn’t know much about Childe because he has zero interest in him. What he can say about him is that he’s carefree, but, cruel. He can kill anyone who offended him with a smile on his face. He has blue eyes that look at everyone with a dead gaze.
The fourth capture target is Kamisato Ayato. The head of the Kamisato clan. A handsome young man wins soft blue hair. The players called him prince charming. ‘Cause, not only is he handsome, his smile is so deathly. Every time the picture of him was published on the official website, the fans will go crazy and flock together on the website just to compliment his handsome face. Though, for Ayato’s true fans, his charming personality and handsome face are not all he has. Behind his clever way of thinking and the warm smile he show on his face, many thought that he was a gentleman. But, in reality, he’s as cruel as Childe. His background story was so dark. He can kill if it was to protect his sister and everything he had.
And the last one is Alhaitham. The acting grand sage of Sumeru, the right-hand man of the queen of Sumeru, Nahida. What he knows about him is that Alhaitham is not someone who talked much. He likes books and hates noisy places. Although he has a good face and a high position, he’s someone who always follows his own principles. And that’s also why he’s still single until now. Even so, no one could avert their gaze when Alhaitham appeared on the screen. His chest, especially his chest, was so noticeable. It looks firm, enticing anyone to just stop and lock their gaze upon the perfect chest he has there.
Even Scaramouche can’t tear his gaze away from that firm, enticing, and strong chest.
Anyway, that’s all about the capture targets. Another setting of this world is that there’s another gender here; Alpha, Beta, and Omega.
All of the capture targets were alpha. The twins will be omega. And unfortunately for Scaramouche, now Kunikuzushi, he’s an omega.
“Shit.”
He can’t help but swear. Never in his life would he ever dreamt of transmigrating inside his favourite game. But, here he is, standing in the room as the prince of Inazuma.
He can’t think of a reason as to why he’s here. The last thing he remembered was that he played his favourite game at his home. He just started playing Ayato’s route.
To be honest, Scaramouche doesn’t have any interest in Ayato. He picked his route just because it was the fastest route where he can meet his favourite npc, Kazuha.
When the mc meets Ayato, he will ask if he can accompany them as that is the first time mc went to Inazuma. Then, the mc will say yes and Ayato will guide them around. Talking with people in the port, the merchants, a lot of people. And that’s where Scaramouche can see his beloved Kazuha.
“Hahhh.. Just a few more clicks and I would have seen my beloved Kazuha,” Kunikuzushi sigh to himself.
“Wait.”
Then, as if he just realized something, his eyes opened wide. He stand upright and stomped his feet to where the door was located.
“I’m going out,” he said to the attendants in front of his room.
“If I may ask, where will you be going, Your highness?” The attendant asks, her body bowed respectfully.
“Hmm...” Kunikuzushi brings his finger to his chin, thinking. “I’m going to buy something. I just remembered that I see something interesting yesterday. Tell mother that I will be back before dinner.”
“Yes, Your highness.”
And with that, Kunikuzushi off to search for his beloved Kazuha.
Kunikuzushi arrives at the port in no time. His eyes looked here and there to see the platinum blonde hair with a single red streak anywhere. Not long after, he found him. Kazuha was talking with a customer, bargaining the precious tea leaves that just came from Liyue.
When his eyes caught sight of Kazuha breathing and talking, seemingly alive and real. Suddenly, Kunikuzushi can’t think of anything. His legs were bound to the earth, while his eyes were stuck on the soft smile Kazuha gives to his customer when the deal is finalised.
He can’t even move when the customer is already gone from his sight. Not that he can see anything except Kazuha.
It takes another 15 minutes for Kunikuzushi to move. His eyes never leave Kazuha’s figure for even one second. He can’t think of anything besides him. Even if Kazuha was looking at him with puzzled eyes, Kunikuzushi can’t tear his gaze away.
“Hello. Is there something you need?” Kazuha asks him with his soft smile. His voice sounds so polite and nice to hear.
Kunikuzushi likes it.
His heart was pounding hard inside his ribcage. His mouth was opened, but, no voice coming out. His mind was jumbled from the extensive words he wants to tell him. But, there’s only one answer to Kazuha’s question and there’s no way Kunikuzushi can say it.
‘You.’
He wants to say it.
Instead, he clamped his mouth and calmed his breathing. He needs to stay calm or else Kazuha will see him as a crazy person.
So, Kunikuzushi shows him his smile.
“Ah, actually, I want to buy something for my sister.”
And in this situation, he’s really glad that he has a sister.
‘Sister Raiden, thanks for lending me your name.’
“Oh, really? What did your sister like?” Kazuha asks with his business smile.
After that, Kunikuzushi skilfully answered any of his questions. It’s not difficult. ‘Cause he knows what his sister like and not.
Raiden, the first princess of Inazuma Kingdom. Her role in the game was to support mc when she got on the Ayato’s route. Their relationship was not that good at first. But, as time goes on, his sister helped mc a lot and then her reputation went up significantly.
Kunikuzushi was a bit happy when he realized that he was not a villain or in the villain’s family. That means that he won’t be put in danger and he can focus on living his life admiring Kazuha.
Without him realising, he had bought a lot of things. From the precious tea leaves imported from Liyue, silk, wine from Mondstadt, the new book edition from Akademiya, various kinds of novels, to a mini robot that can jump up and down.
“Thank you for your generous buying, customer,” Kazuha bowed his head to Kunikuzushi. On his face, he can see a bright smile instead of the business one. It seems that Kazuha is really happy.
Kunikuzushi looks at his bright smile with amazement. This Kazuha looks really handsome when he smiles. The Kazuha in the game screen only ever show him his business smile.
Calming his thumping heart, Kunikuzushi smiles back. “No need to thank me, sir merchant. I merely bought them because they catches my eye,” he said with a calm tone. But, behind his calm and composed look, Kunikuzushi was fighting himself to not scream and hug Kazuha tightly. How can he be this handsome up close? It was so different from when he saw him through his screen phone. Okay. Kazuha in the game is handsome, that’s why Kunikuzushi continue playing the game even though he has to reach all endings with the capture targets. His main focus was on Kazuha and Kazuha only. But, seeing him up close like this, Kunikuzushi feels like he just win a jackpot. He can see real Kazuha with his own eyes.
“Here is the payment,” Kunikuzushi stretched his hand to give Kazuha the mora. Unexpectedly, their hands brushed against each other. Kunikuzushi bit his lower lip to not lose his cool. He wants to scream.
“Thank you, customer, sir.”
Kunikuzushi nodded. After he said that he will send some people to get his things, he excuse himself. He can’t stay here any longer or else Kunikuzushi will not be able to hold back.
After walking a few distances, Kunikuzushi stopped. His hand gripped a tree trunk beside him. He was looking down. His whole body shook with his other hand clenched tightly. He’s fighting back a scream.
Feeling that he can’t hold it back, Kunikuzushi runs to the beach. The place was void of people, because usually nobushi, treasure hoarders or even monsters appeared there. That’s why people avoid places like this because it’s dangerous. But, it’s a perfect place for Kunikuzushi to scream to his heart's content.
“AAAAHHH!!! KAZUHAAAA!”
“Kazuha! Kazuha! Kazuha! How can you be so handsome? Your soft face.. That soft smile.. Aaahhh.. I can’t..”
Kunikuzushi pours out the words he can’t utter in front of Kazuha earlier.
“Kazuhaa... What should I do? I’m so happy to meet you!”
Kunikuzushi was too focused on venting his emotion that he’s not realizing that some monsters are looking at him with hungry gazes.
A rifthound lunged at his back. Reflexively Kunikuzushi turns his body to the side. His body was reacting faster than his brain, that’s why he was quite shocked to find the stray dog baring its teeth at him.
Another rifthound appeared on his rears. With a total of 3 rifthounds surrounding him, surprisingly, Kunikuzushi didn’t feel ever slightly nervous. His eyes were looking at the stray dogs as if they were a nuisance.
“Get lost, dogs,” he hissed. But, the monsters didn’t have any brain to listen to him, so instead, they lunged at him with their claws stretched dangerously.
Kunikuzushi was not someone so weak that he would cower just from a few stray dogs attacking him. His life before transmigrating here was not an easy one. Having a yakuza leader as his mom made him get in a lot of trouble. Such as kidnapping and assassination. That’s why his mother sends someone to teach him self defence so he can protect himself. And since the assassination attempt when he was in elementary school, his mother decided to hide his identity until he was ready to replace her. As the result, he live alone from high school until he comes here.
And, this Kunikuzushi was not someone so weak either. The memory of him being kidnapped by his mother’s enemy resurrected in his mind. Not just once did he come close to the death door. But, each time, using his intelligence, will, and somehow, luck, he survived until now. And as a result, he grew up to be someone who can protect himself.
That’s why a few stray dogs are no match for him.
One of the rifthounds runs straight at him. It lifts its claws to attack Kunikuzushi. Unfortunately for it though, Kunikuzushi took a step back and turn his body to the side, effortlessly avoiding the dangerous claws coming to his neck.
“Grrrrr.” The rifthounds growled at him.
Kunikuzushi’s eyes lit up with a sharp gaze. A circle with a strange pattern appeared behind his head. He’d read that the Inazuma’s royal families has strange power flowing through their blood.
‘I guess, it’s true.’
With this, he got his weapon.
“Heh,” Kunikuzushi snorted. “It’s interesting.” The power of the wind was surrounding his body. When he waves his hand, a sharp wind cut the rifthound’s skin easily.
“Then, it’s time to teach stray dogs some manners.”
And with that, Kunikuzushi straight up beat each one of the rifthound. When the three monsters finally took their last breath, the sun was going to set.
“Ah. It takes a lot of time.” He wipes away the sweat on his forehead.
“I’m glad I’ve informed my servants beforehand,” Kunikuzushi mumbled to himself.
Then, he turns around and heads back home. His body was tired from fighting for the first time since he came here.

The next day, Kunikuzushi looked at his reflection in the mirror. He’s going to go out again, once again visiting Kazuha to buy some things. Yeah, buying things was just his excuse, his initial intention was to talk to him and admire his handsome face.
“Okay,” Kunikuzushi said.
Then, he went out. Not long after, he arrives at Kazuha’s stall.
“Oh, hello there, generous customer,” Kazuha waves his hand in his direction.
Thump thump
Kunikuzushi’s heart was beating so hard from just seeing his face. “He-khm,” he cleared his throat. “Hello, sir merchant,” Kunikuzushi answered him with a smile. He deliberately shows Kazuha his brightest and sweetest smile.
“What brings you here? Did you want to buy something again?” Kazuha asks.
Kunikuzushi scratches his cheek, implying that what he said is correct.
“Haha, yeah. I came here because of that,” he said with awkward voice. “Um, actually, this is the first time I come to town myself, so, I don’t know where to buy the things I need.”
“Ah,” Kazuha look at him with a sympathetic gaze. “Then, how about I give you a tour? I just so happen to run out of tomatoes.”
Kunikuzushi beamed. “Yes! Thank you very much!”
“Alright. Please, wait a sec,”
After Kunikuzushi waits for a few minutes, Kazuha comes out wearing black and red hakama with maple leaves pattern haori.
He looks so handsome in Kunikuzushi’s eyes. From head to toe. So perfect. Kunikuzushi can’t take his eyes away. This is the new appearance of Kazuha he never sees. In the game, Kazuha only appeared in his usual business clothing. Nothing more. That’s why this is new and it gives more damage to Kunikuzushi’s heart.
Thump thump thump
His heart was beating like a rabbit. He can feel his breathing becoming erratic and uneven. Shit. Even his eyes were blurry from excitement.
“Sir? Are okay?” Kazuha closes their distance without Kunikuzushi noticing.
Kunikuzushi flinch. “Ye-yes. I’m okay,” he smiled. Pressing down any excitement he has so he won’t embarrass himself. “Then.. Let’s go?” Kunikuzushi’s purple eyes look at Kazuha’s red ones.
Kazuha smiled and nodded.
That morning, both Kazuha and Kunikuzushi walked around the town together. Kazuha explained a lot of things and Kunikuzushi listened seriously. That’s how everyone saw it. In reality, Kunikuzushi didn’t pay much attention to Kazuha’s explanation. His eyes were stuck on Kazuha’s face, admiring his soft feature, his red eyes that sparkled beautifully when he explains things, and his platinum blonde hair fluttering slowly because of the wind. Kunikuzushi can’t take his eyes off Kazuha.
Days after that, Kunikuzushi will occasionally buy a lot of things from Kazuha’s stall. Then one day, they exchanged each other names. So, every time Kunikuzushi comes to Kazuha’s stall, Kazuha will wave his hand and smiled widely at him, calling his name with his soft voice, “Kunikuzushi!”
Aaaahh this is happiness. Kunikuzushi was so happy to be transmigrated inside his favourite game.
Since then, Kunikuzushi and Kazuha spend more time together. They walked around town together. Eat their favourite food together. Talking about a lot of things, such as food they don’t like, their favourite color, Kazuha’s troubles at work, Kunikuzushi’s sister’s bad habits, etc.
With the time they spend together, Kunikuzushi’s feelings for Kazuha only grow stronger and stronger. From the way Kazuha look at him, he can see that Kazuha has the same feeling as him.
It’s just... There’s something Kunikuzushi can’t understand behind Kazuha’s eyes. One time, he looked at him with warm eyes it sends butterflies inside Kunikuzushi’s stomach. The other time, Kazuha looked at him with sadness, hesitation, and something he can’t explain with words. Why? Kunikuzushi wants to ask him. But, he can’t. He will wait until Kazuha tells him himself.
Today, they spend their time together again. Kunikuzushi was sitting on a bench, waiting for Kazuha to buy dango for them.
“Here is your dango, Kuni,” Kazuha’s soft voice resounded from behind. Kunikuzushi turns his head back and smile at the sight of someone he loves.
“Thank you, Kazuha,” Kunikuzushi smiled. He put the dango into his mouth and instantly regret it. It tastes... weird. It’s sticky and it makes his teeth like they’re fusing together. Kunikuzushi want to spit it out, but, Kazuha’s smile stopped him.
“How does it taste? Sweet, right?”
Kunikuzushi nodded with a forced smile. The dango in his mouth didn’t taste like anything. He doesn’t like it.
Silence falls between them. Kazuha was eating his own dango. He steals glances in Kunikuzushi’s direction, holding his smile not to laugh at Kunikuzushi’s clear disgust. He knows that Kunikuzushi didn’t like dango. He hates sticky food after all. But, he still bought him one just to mess with him. And honestly, though, Kazuha want to see his expression when he eats the dango he bought.
Kunikuzushi was chewing the dango in his mouth with a ridiculous expression. He’s trying his best to not spit it out, Kazuha bought it for him after all. After so much difficulty, he finally gulped the dango down.
‘Ukh.. I don’t like it.’
“Here, drink this.”
Suddenly, a cup of tea was in front of his face. Kunikuzushi looked at the cup with puzzled eyes. Then, his eyes darted to Kazuha who smiles so brightly.
“Thank you,” Kunikuzushi says. But, he doesn’t put the cup to his mouth, he just stares at the tea. After a few moments, he gulped down the tea in one shot. “Ah. It’s bitter.”
Kazuha smiles. “Yes. You said you don’t like sweets, so I bought this bitter tea for you.”
Kunikuzushi’s heart was beating hard. Hotness crept up from his neck to his face. It’s not taking long for his face to be completely red.
‘Cute,’ Kazuha thought. Unconsciously, his hand moves to touch Kunikuzushi’s cheek.
Kazuha sudden move makes Kunikuzushi flinch surprise. His eyes were wide in shock.
“You’re so cute, Kuni,”
His words make Kunikuzushi’s heart beat even more wildly. His breath hitched and his mind stopped.
‘What did he just say?’
His indigo eyes stare at Kazuha’s red ones in bewilderment. His face was completely red to his ears. He doesn’t know how to respond.
When Kunikuzushi’s brain stopped working, Kazuha’s smile widen. He pulled Kunikuzushi’s hand to continue their walk. And in their night stroll, Kazuha told Kunikuzushi many stories. While Kunikuzushi looked at their entwined hands in amazement.
He’s sure that he won’t be able to forget this night for the rest of his life.

Day after day, Kunikuzushi spend most of his time outside. To the point that it makes his mother and sister wonder what has he been doing outside the castle. When his mother, Queen Ei, asked what he has been doing outside and why he has been going outside almost every day this past week, he just said that he got a friend outside the castle. He told her that he likes this friend and is happy to spend his time together with him.
After hearing his answer, his mother nodded her head and said, “Alright. Just be careful, no one knows what danger might come to you outside.’
Kunikuzushi walked out of the castle with happy steps. His mother said it was okay, so he can visit Kazuha any time he want.
On his way to Kazuha’s stall, Kunikuzushi look at the street that was decorated beautifully. There are also many food stalls compared to the day before. He stares at the beautifully decorated lamps in thought. What day is it today? If his memories serve him right, then...
“Ah!”
It’s when the MC goes on a date with Kamisato Ayato in the game. They walked around the festival while holding hands. Then, when Ayato left the MC to buy something, the MC was kidnapped by his rival. That was the first time the player know of Ayato’s scary side. And in the end, he successfully rescues the MC and beat the kidnappers to a pulp.
Well... It doesn’t have anything to do with Kunikuzushi or Kazuha, so he doesn’t think more about it and walked to Kazuha’s place. When he arrives in front of his stall, Kazuha was in an argument with his customer. Seems that it will take a while to get the deal. So, Kunikuzushi sits under the tree, looking at Kazuha’s face from afar. He observe Kazuha’s expression that changed every few seconds, from an annoyed expression, forced smile, irritated, and holding himself back from slashing the man in front of him with his sword (Kazuha’s hand was on his sword’s hilt when his face darken).
“Pfft.”
Kunikuzushi can’t help himself but chuckle. How can Kazuha be this adorable?
After the fuming customer left, Kunikuzushi walked to Kazuha’s stall.
“Kazuha,” he calls him. Kazuha’s irritated expression quickly turn bright when meeting his eyes.
“Kuni!” he runs to Kunikuzushi.
“Hello,” Kunikuzushi greeted him warmly.
After that, they talked and talked. They took a stroll around, looking at the beautifully decorated street together. When Kazuha ask him if he want to enjoy the festival together, Kunikuzushi nodded excitedly. They parted ways and promised to meet each other by the night.
Kunikuzushi walked happily to their meeting place. His steps stopped when he saw Kazuha leaning his back on the maple tree, he was waiting for him.
“Kazuha,” Kunikuzushi calls him.
Kazuha opened his closed eyes and look at Kunikuzushi’s eyes. The corners of his mouth turn upwards. “Hello, Kuni. Shall we go?”
Kunikuzushi was smiling too. “Yes.”
They walked side by side. Enjoying the beautiful scenery around them.
Kunikuzushi looks at everything happening around him in amazement. It was the first festival he ever attended. He never went on one, even in his previous life. His eyes looking here and there excitedly. It’s fun. The sound of kids’ laughter, the merchant selling their goods, the sound of music and song. It makes him happy.
Without him realising, Kazuha was always looking at his expression. He observe how Kunikuzushi’s eyes lit up from seeing the bright lights around them. How it turns around excitedly to look at the kids, merchants, decorations on street, and even the stray cats. It’s as if the first time Kunikuzushi ever enjoy a festival.
Looking at his happy face and how much he enjoyed it, Kazuha feels that his heart was beating fast. Seeing Kunikuzushi happy makes him happy too.
After a long walk, they sit on a bench in one corner, not that far away from the crowd enjoying the festival. Kunikuzushi was still looking at the beautiful views in front of him. He doesn’t realise that Kazuha was holding something in his hand.
“Kunikuzushi.”
He only turns his head after feeling Kazuha’s finger on his cheek.
“What is-?!”
His words got cut off, his eyes widen at the sight of Kazuha on his knee with flowers in his hand.
“Ka-Kazuha? What are you?”
“Kunikuzushi,” Kazuha calls his name once again. “It might be improper of me to say this because we only know each other for the past few weeks, but, my heart beats wildly every time I see you, I’m happy when I see you happy, I always excited to wait for the next day knowing that we will meet again. I.. I have feelings for you. I like you!”
Kazuha looks into his eyes with honesty. Kazuha’s red eyes were shaking, even his hand holding the flower where trembling. He’s nervous.
Kunikuzushi feels breathless. His heart was thumping loudly inside his ribcage. “I.. Kazuha...” He can’t even perform a proper sentence. He’s so nervous, so happy, he doesn’t know what to do.
Seeing Kunikuzushi’s flustered face, Kazuha softens his smile. He brought Kunikuzushi’s hand to hold the flowers. Then, he uses his hands to cup Kunikuzushi’s face, caressing his cheek lovingly.
“If you don’t know what to say, it’s okay. You don’t need to give me the answer now. I’ll wait for you,” Kazuha said with a soft tone.
Kunikuzushi just nodded because his brain has stopped working. They spend the remaining time walking around while holding hands. Kunikuzushi hold the flowers Kazuha gave him tightly. His face was still red, but, he’s so happy.
And thus, this is the second moment he will remember for the rest of his life.

Kunikuzushi goes home with happiness all over his face. He’s humming on his way home. He’s happy, too happy that he doesn’t realise the danger lurking around him.
His steps stopped when he felt some presence behind him. His surrounding was strangely too quiet. It makes him alert, happiness went away from his mind. Kunikuzushi turns around with a sharp glare. There, he can see 2 kairagi and 5 nobushi walking towards him with their sword lifted.
“What do you want?” Kunikuzushi asks in a cold voice.
“The child of the queen, we will kill you today!” Kairagi said, he took a stance to attack.
Kunikuzushi calls upon his power. A strange pattern appeared on the back of his head. He can feel the wind surrounding his body.
When one of the two kairagi attacks him, Kunikuzushi calls the wind to give him a slash.
“Kiing!”
It’s blocked.
“Tch.”
Kunikuzushi’s body float in the air. Meanwhile, his enemy's bodies were thrown into the air by the wind. Using his enemies' confusion when they fall down, Kunikuzushi gives them another slash. 2 nobushi died in an instant. But, the two kairagi quickly took their stance, and once again, Kunikuzushi’s attack was blocked.
“Annoying bugs.”
Kunikuzushi was going to give them another attack before a green spear thrust into the kairagi’s chest.
“Huh?”
Where did that spear come from?
“Are you Kunikuzushi?” Suddenly, there’s a voice from behind.
Kunikuzushi turn his body quickly, a bit startled to find someone standing on the branch of a tree. Kunikuzushi scrunched his eyes to look more closely. This someone has dark green hair and a green tattoo around his right arm. Kunikuzushi has seen him somewhere.
Where is it?
Ah! “Adeptus Xiao?” Kunikuzushi voices what his mind says.
The adeptus, Xiao, look down on him. He goes down and stands in front of the kairagi. With one hand, he pulled out his spear from kairagi’s chest. Without saying anything, Xiao kills every single enemy there. In just a few seconds, no one stand upright except them.

“Yes. Your mother, the queen, has slain all of my family. But, it doesn’t mean that I will bear a grudge against the people who didn’t get involved in that incident.”

“What I want to say is, I don’t hate you nor I bear a grudge against you. It may be awkward when I see your mother, but, I will be really sad if we can’t meet again after this. But, if you still don’t want to meet me, it’s okay. I won’t force you,” Kazuha ends his words with a smile. Even with his back facing Kazuha, Kunikuzushi can imagine what kind of face Kazuha’s making. He might be smiling, but, one that doesn’t reach his eyes.

Suddenly, Kazuha’s hand disappeared. He also pulled his body away from Kunikuzushi. Kazuha was going to leave.

After a few seconds of silence, Kazuha turn around and started to leave. But, on his fifth step, his body stopped. It’s not because he wants to, but, it feels like the wind is pressing on his body.
“Who told you to leave?” A voice from behind steals all of Kazuha’s attention. He quickly turns his head.
Kunikuzushi was sitting on his bed with his hand stretched. “Come here,” He commands the wind to bring Kazuha to him.
In just a moment, Kazuha was back in front of Kunikuzushi. His eyes are wide.
Kunikuzushi cups Kazuha’s face gently. His soft hand was warm against Kazuha’s skin.
“I’m sorry,” he suddenly said.
Kazuha smiled. “Didn’t I tell you that it’s not your fault? I don’t hate you. You don’t have to apologise to me.”
“But, still...”
“Ssh.. I’m really okay,” Kazuha stretched his lips even wider. His eyes were not showing an ounce of sadness. “See? I don’t feel sad or anything.”
Kunikuzushi stared silently at Kazuha’s red eyes. He really didn’t find a trace of sadness or any negative emotions there. Kazuha’s eyes are bright when they look at Kunikuzushi. He can see the happiness when that eyes meet his.
‘Ah... He’s telling the truth.’
Kunikuzushi’s hand holding Kazuha’s sleeve tightened. “Don’t go,” he said with a low voice.
“If you don’t want me to go, I won’t go,” Kazuha holds Kunikuzushi’s hand. He’s smiling so warmly.
“I’m sorry,” Kunikuzushi can’t help himself to not apologise again.
“Please, stop apologising. It’s not even your fault,”
After that, Kazuha hugged him. Then, after Kunikuzushi calmed down, they talked about a lot of things. Kazuha explains what happened to his family and Kunikuzushi will listen quietly. Their hands are connected from the start until the end of the storied.
After making sure that Kunikuzushi’s condition comes back to normal, Kazuha bid him his farewell. He can’t stay inside Kunikuzushi’s room forever, can he? He promised Kunikuzushi that he will stay in this nation and wait until Kunikuzushi visit his stall.

Kazuha cries too, but, at least, he’s not fainting. He quickly runs to Kunikuzushi’s side, giving him praise and comforting words.
When he saw his daughter, Kazuha feels amazing. She’s so small, so cute. Her face is still crying, but, she looks pretty, just like her father.
Kazuha extended his hand to touch his daughter’s face. Surprisingly, his daughter stopped crying. She blinked her red eyes and chomp on his finger.

She really is like Kunikuzushi.

Kazuha and Kunikuzushi were having a stroll around the garden with their daughter. She was bundled in light purple cloth in Kazuha’s hands.
“Look at her. When she sleeps like this, she resembles you so much,” Kazuha said suddenly.
Kunikuzushi chuckles.
They’re happily enjoying their time together with laughter and sometimes, teasing each other.
They finally found their happiness and wish that this moment will continue like this forever.
But, it seems that lady fate was not on their side.
Away from their sight, someone is creeping up behind them. The suspicious person was bringing a weapon in his hand. His dark eyes are glaring hatefully at the happy couple.
Slowly, he readied his weapon and charged towards Kazuha and Kunikuzushi.
“Haaaa! Diee!”
His shout brought Kazuha and Kunikuzushi to their surprise. They quickly turn around. The suspicious guy has his weapon high in the sky, ready to slash either Kunikuzushi or Kazuha. But, before they could react, the sword already cut Kunikuzushi’s chest.
“KUNI!!” Kazuha screamed Kunikuzushi’s name.
“I’m fine,” Fortunately though, the wound is not that deep.
“You!” Kazuha’s gaze turn to the attacker. His red eyes are looking angrily at him.
The attacker laughs. “How unfortunate. You’re still alive.”
“Who are you?” Kazuha stands in front of Kunikuzushi, protecting him.
“It’s none of your business.”
The suspicious person runs forward while lifting his sword.
Kwang!
Kazuha blocked his attack with his own sword.
Kazuha’s brows furrowed. “You! Do you know who you’re attacking right now?! It’s the royal prince’s family!”
“I don’t care. All members of the royal family have to die!”
Their attacker took a step back. Then, he prepared another attack.
Kunikuzushi activated his power and sends their daughter to a safe place.
When the suspicious guy launched himself towards them, Kazuha blocks his attack with his sword. From behind, Kunikuzushi throws a wind blade at their attacker.
Realising that something is coming from behind, the guy rolled over to the side. Then, he throws a handful of dirt in Kazuha’s direction. When Kazuha stopped because of the dirt, the guy quickly ran to Kunikuzushi. He was going to slash him when suddenly, Kazuha arrived in front of him with his red eyes glaring at him.
“I won’t let you.”
“Tch.”
When they got locked in a tight battle, Kunikuzushi supported Kazuha from behind.
“Annoying bastard.”
The guy takes out something from his pocket.
“What is that?” Kunikuzushi asked.
Suddenly, the sky darkens. The temperature around them was dropping rapidly. From the suspicious guy’s direction, a big and strange creature appeared. A bird. With the power of lightning.
“I shall bring you to your grave!”
It’s not clear to whom the guy said it. But, both Kazuha and Kunikuzushi were becoming more alert.
When the bird fly high in the sky, a huge roar resounded. Then, lightning fell down from the sky to the earth, aiming at Kazuha’s and Kunikuzushi’s heads.
Of course, the two of them tried to avoid it. But, the suspicious guy won’t let them easily do that. He kept attacking them.
Their bodies were slowly littered with wounds. The three of them. The one in the worst condition is the suspicious guy. It’s a wonder that he is still able to stand.
Thy sky was getting brighter and brighter. Not long after, it came back to normal. Even so, Kazuha and Kunikuzushi are still so alert. They can’t let their guard down before they’re certain that all the danger is gone.
“Kh. This.. I can’t just die like this,” the guy said. But, his body has unable to move. His hand was clenching hard on the hilt of his sword. His eyes glistened with hatred to the married couple in front of him. “I can’t die like this. I can’t die like this!” Because he kept saying the same thing, Kunikuzushi thought that the guy has finally gone crazy. But, it seems that that’s not the case.
Not that he’s entirely wrong though. The guy really is gone crazy.
“I can’t just die like this! I’LL DRAG YOU TO HELL WITH ME!”
His eyes suddenly changed. The air around them changed once again. Kunikuzushi and Kazuha were getting ready for another attack. But, something outside of their expectations happened.
The lightning strikes first even before the sky turns dark completely. It gives both Kunikuzushi and Kazuha no time to react. And in this chaos, Kunikuzushi can’t avoid the lightning that aiming straight at his head.
“KUNIII!!” Kazuha screamed when he saw Kunikuzushi’s body falling to the ground. Seconds after, red liquid gushed out of his body.
Right at that moment, the lightning stopped. The suspicious guy has finally died. But, Kazuha can’t feel happy about it.
“Kuni! Kuni! Please wake up!” Kazuha hugs Kunikuzushi’s body tightly. He tries to stop the blood from flowing out. But, to no use, the blood keeps flowing out and Kunikuzushi’s complexion is not good. He’s become pale and paler. His breathing is becoming shallow and shallower. It’s so slow and faint. Kazuha is afraid that his breathing would stop any second.
“Kazuha! Kunikuzushi!” He can hear Raiden’s voice from afar.
When the medic comes, everything is already too late. Kunikuzushi has stopped breathing. He left his husband with their baby daughter behind.
Everyone is crying when they saw Kunikuzushi’s coffin get buried.

Since then, the palace became gloomy. The queen still doing his duty as usual, but, everyone can see the bags under her eyes. The princess was losing weight in a short period of time. Every night, her servants can hear crying from outside of her room.
As for Kazuha, he feels like his world has broke apart. He often just look at the sky with blank eyes. He still can’t accept Kunikuzushi’s death. He want to follow him. He can’t live his life without Kunikuzushi.
Then, he turn his eyes to his sleeping daughter. Suddenly, his eyes waters.

“Master Kazuha, Her majesty wants to meet you,” The servant said politely.
Kazuha nodded and following the servant to meet his mother-in-law.
After a few minutes of walking, they finally arrived. Kazuha looked puzzled when he found that not only his mother-in-law was there, but, also his sister-in-law and an unexpected guest.
“Venti?”
Venti waves at him.
“Come, sit, Kazuha.”
Kazuha sit across his mother-in-law. “Why are we all here?” he asks.
His mother-in-law didn’t say anything. She turn his eyes at Venti. Kazuha reflexively look at Venti, following his mother-in-law’s gaze.
“First of all, I give you my condolences.”
Kazuha nodded.
Venti’s expression changed. Gone was the smiling bard everyone know. The Venti in front of Kazuha now looks like someone who has gone through a lot and deserve a respect, like his mother-in-law.
“Second one is that, Prince Kunikuzushi is still alive.”
His next words made Kazuha’s eyes widen in shock.
“What did you just say?”
Venti close his eyes. “Prince Kunikuzushi is still alive. But, he’s not a part of this world any longer.”
Kazuha’s brow furrowed. “Wha-What?” It’s so sudden. He can’t process it immediately. His head began to spin.
Then, he look at his mother-in-law and sister-in-law that look so calm. “Did you knew?”
Raiden nodded. “Mother told me that his friend said Kunikuzushi is still alive. Albeit not in this world.”
Kazuha now look at his mother-in-law. “Is that true?”
His mother-in-law, Ei, nodded. “We can trust his words. I know him for a long time and for something like this... He won’t dare to lie,” she sent Venti a glare. As if threatening if he dares to lie, her sword will stuck in his chest.
“Ah,” Venti averted his eyes, avoiding Ei’s sharp glares. Then, his eyes met Kazuha’s. That red eyes was so dark and lost all hope when he first come inside the room. But, now, there’s a ray of hope and it makes those eyes shine once more.
“It’s the truth. I can send you there, but!” Venti gives Kazuha a sharp eyes. “There’s a price.”
Kazuha’s fist tighten. He can even give him his soul if by doing so he can meet Kunikuzushi again.
But, before he could say that he accept it, he look at his daughter. Right. He can’t leave her alone here. And...
His eyes look at his mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
They’re smiling.
“I know what you’re thinking,” Ei said. “As you know, we can’t leave this place. Everything will go into chaos if their queen disappeared overnight, right?”
Raiden nodded. “That’s right. I can’t go either because I need to succeed mother. So,” she looks at Kazuha. “You should go and protect Kunikuzushi on our stead.”
Kazuha’s eyes feels hot. He gritted his teeth to not cry.
“Thank you,” he bowed his head at them.
“Don’t worry about us and protect Kunikuzushi. Okay?”
“Yes.”
Then, the three pair of eyes looks at Venti again.
“I’m willing to pay anything. As long as I and my daughter can meet Kunikuzushi again,” Kazuha’s voice was full of confidence.
It brings a smile over Venti’s face.
“Alright. Then, please come to this place at this day. I’ll send you to Prince Kunikuzushi’s place. As for the payment, you’ll know when the time comes,” Venti gives him a piece of paper. “And now, I need to go back first. There’s a lot of things to do to make this successful.”
Kazuha looked at the paper in his hand for a long time. “Thank you,” He bowed at Venti as a token of gratitude for the hope he just gave him.
“Don’t be, boy,” Venti pat his shoulder. “I charge you a fee, remember?”
“See you later, then.”
And with that, Venti disappeared from their sight.

“Heuhk!” Scaramouche wakes up with bated breath.
“Hahh... Hahh...” He looks around the room. His eyes widen in disbelief. “What? Why am I...?”

He missed them so much.

Suddenly, his bell rang out. With heavy steps, Scaramouche walked to the door. He opened the door a few moments after, doesn’t care about who it is.
“Hey, Kuni.”
A voice immediately catches Scaramouche’s attention.
“No way,” Scaramouche’s voice is shaking. Not only his voice, his hands holding the handle was also shaking uncontrollably.
His shaking hands was slowly moving towards Kazuha’s face. But, they stopped a few centimetres away from his skin. He’s afraid. What if the one in front of him now is not real and just his illusion? There’s no way Scaramouche can deal with that.
Kazuha was standing in front of his door with their daughter in his hands. He saw Kunikuzushi’s shaking eyes, hesitation, and fear. He close the distance between them and placed his head on Kunikuzushi’s hands. “Hello, Kuni. I miss you so much.”
Kunikuzushi’s eyes widen and without waiting for another second, Kunikuzushi jumped onto Kazuha and brought him into a tight hug.
“Kazuha! My daughter!” He’s crying out of happiness. “I miss you guys so much!”
“Me too,” Kazuha hugs him back.
Finally, they reunited once again. And now, they will protect this happiness of theirs. No matter what happen, they will always be together.
