Work Text:
Maya wakes up with a groan immediately covering her face with her pillow not wanting to get up having the worst headache and the sun isn’t helping. It’s then that she hears someone throwing up in the bathroom. She gets up and throws on a too big hoodie and walks into the bathroom seeing Carina wearing one of her t-shirts throwing up.
Maya sighs and frowns hearing her throw up and feeling bad for her, she walks over to her and crouches down taking hold of her hair, and rubs her back until she stops and flushes the toilet.
“How long have you been throwing up?” Maya asks feeling bad, she knows Carina gets sick sometimes when she gets really drunk. Maya sits down spreading her legs so Carina can fit between them, Carina sits up and leans into Maya putting her full weight on her, Maya kisses her temple wrapping her arms around her.
“Since about four am, I didn’t want to wake you up so I closed the door,” Carina says taking slow deep breaths trying to stop herself from throwing up again.
“Babe you should have woken me up, I could have gone out and gotten you some stuff to make you feel better,” Maya says getting comfortable on the floor getting the feeling she isn’t moving anytime soon.
“No it’s okay, you were sound asleep and I know you’ve had trouble sleeping recently I wanted to let you rest.” Maya sighs and marvels at how caring she is, even as she is puking her guts out at four am she is still considering her.
“Next time you wake me up, I would rather lose sleep and have you feeling better than get a good night’s rest and wake up to find you nearly passed out on the floor,” Maya says, Carina accepts the comfort still feeling awful and wanting to just sit in Maya’s arms and will herself to feel better knowing they are getting married tomorrow and she cannot feel this sucky then.
“Why don’t I go out and get you some stuff and we can spend all day on the couch until we have to leave for the rehearsal dinner, how’s that sound?”
“No, don’t leave, this is the first time I have felt comfortable in hours,” Carina says resting her head on Maya’s shoulder and sighing. Maya smiles and holds her close kissing the top of her head and resting her cheek there rocking them back and forth.
She feels Carina getting heavier and knows she is falling asleep and then suddenly she jolts awake and pukes again. Maya ties her hair back into a low bun and rubs her back, Maya feels bad for her knowing they have to be at the venue in less than 12 hours and she doesn’t know if Carina is going to be up for that.
“Alright here’s what’s going to happen, I’m going to the store to get you Pedialyte and crackers and other stuff to make you feel better and hopefully we can make it to the venue tonight,” Maya says standing up and quickly throws on a pair of jeans and puts on a bra throwing her hair up.
“I’ll be back love,” Maya says bending down and kisses Carina’s cheek.
“Thank you for being you,” Carina says smiling up at Maya and she smiles right back.
“I love you,” Maya says kissing her forehead before standing up and moving out of the room.
“Love you too,” Carina calls after her, and Maya puts on her shoes and grabs her keys and she’s out the door.
Maya’s just glad she isn’t actually sick because that would’ve lasted a while, this will end and she will feel better instantly once her body is done. She just needs to be better by tonight because she can’t just not go to the rehearsal dinner and their moms will be pissed if they have to postpone. That doesn’t necessarily matter to Maya because if Carina doesn’t feel good then she doesn’t feel good there’s nothing they can do about it. But she’s going to try everything she can to make sure she feels better because she knows Carina and she will feel awful about inconveniencing people.
Maya pulls up to the store and jumps out and hurriedly gets everything she needs and knows Carina needs or wants when she’s puking because this has happened more than one would think. She hops back into her car and drives home making it back in record time.
She walks into the apartment taking off her shoes and throws her keys into the bowl and walks into the bedroom to find Carina in bed curled around Maya’s pillow, she thinks she’s sleeping until Carina lifts her head ever so slightly and opens one eye to see who it is.
“That was fast.”
“I knew what I was getting and where I needed to go, plus it’s seven am on a Saturday hardly anyone is out right now,” Maya says and sits down on the bed getting out the Pedialyte and crackers and handing them to Carina who takes them and sits up as much as she can.
“Try and drink as much of that as you can and see if you can hold down any of the crackers and hopefully you’ll feel better by tonight,” Maya says hoping and praying to whatever god is up there that she gets better.
“See I told you, Deluca weddings are cursed, look at me. We are getting married tomorrow and I’m practically bedridden.” Carina says taking a sip of the drink forcing herself to swallow it.
“Okay first of all we have been over this two weeks ago when things literally went up in flames, we can fix anything don’t worry. And second, it’s not like this is the first time this has happened, when you have too much to drink you almost always get sick but you feel better in a few hours.”
“Yeah I really should have kept track of how much I drank, they just kept feeding me shots and I kept taking them,” Carina says pinching the bridge of her nose feeling a headache coming on. She takes another gulp of the drink and wills it to help her at least feel marginally better by hydrating herself.
“Do you want to stay in bed or move to the couch?” Maya asks moving some hair out of Carina’s face.
“Can we stay here? It’s comfier here.” Carina says snuggling down into the bed and Maya smiles and nods.
“Yeah I’ll go get my laptop and we can watch a movie.” Maya stands up and kisses Carina’s forehead putting the crackers on her nightstand.
Maya gets up and walks out into the living room getting her laptop and strips herself of her jeans and crawls under the covers and back into bed. Carina immediately attaches herself to her side as she logs onto Netflix and puts on How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days knowing it’s one of Carina’s favorites ever since they saw it for the first time in college.
Carina falls asleep halfway through the movie and Maya watches the rest of the film until Carina wakes up and runs into the bathroom. Maya sighs and is about to walk in there when she hears Carina get up and rinse out her mouth and come back into the room.
“This sucks,” Carina says laying back down in bed and drinking some of her drink it helps her feel slightly better.
“Do you feel any better from sleeping?” Maya asks.
“A little, I’m not as nauseous as I was before I think it’s finally starting to subside.” Carina sighs sinking down into the bed and taking another sip of her drink, it doesn’t make her want to throw up as much as it did before.
“That’s good, do you think you’ll feel better by tonight?”
“I don’t know, probably. Like you said once it’s done I’m going to feel ten times better so I’m hoping I’m over the worst of it. I think if I relax for the rest of the day until we have to start getting ready I’ll be good.”
“Well drink more of that, it’s going to help you feel a lot better,” Maya says.
“I know I know,” Carina says taking another sip.
“Hey I’m just trying to help; I know you well enough to know you want to go tonight and know that if you can’t go you’re going to be really stressed out which is just going to make things worse,” Maya says with a little more attitude than she should.
Carina looks over at her annoyed, “I’m a perfectly capable adult who's going to medical school I think I know that Pedialyte is going to help when throwing up.” Carina says with attitude back and Maya has to take a deep breath because they really don’t need to be fighting especially not today.
“Fine.” Maya settles down into bed and picks another rom-com for them to watch, Carina sighs and snuggles into her side making Maya smirk as she looks over at Carina who has big puppy dog eyes and Maya laughs.
“You could just say sorry,” Maya says and Carina reaches up and kisses Maya's cheek.
“I’m sorry, I just don’t feel good and I’m frustrated about the timing,” Carina says sighing and Maya nods her head.
“I’m sorry too, but I’m 100% sure that you will feel better come tonight,” Maya says knowing that if she keeps putting fluids into her body she’ll be fine in a couple of hours.
“Yeah I’m already starting to feel better I think the worst is over with,” Carina says taking deep breaths feeling like she might throw up again.
“We’ll play it by ear and see how you feel when it comes time to leave for dinner, if you don’t feel good then we aren’t going okay? You’re not going to overexert yourself, the rehearsal isn’t really necessary.” Maya says wanting to make sure Carina takes care of herself.
“I promise to listen to my body but I really think I am going to be fine; I’m feeling a lot better. A little nauseous but still better.”
“Okay well, we’re still staying in bed for the rest of the day until tonight,” Maya says and they do just that, they stay in bed all day watching movies and just relaxing. Carina spent a good portion sleeping which Maya was happy about knowing she needed it. Carina has always been someone who needs a good amount of sleep in order to function which means she goes to bed early so she can get a full eight hours.
That being said considering they didn’t actually fall asleep until 1:30 am and she woke up at 4 am she needs lots of sleep in order to function for the day.
Maya looks at the time and sees it’s four pm and they have to be at the venue at six so it’s time to wake up Carina and hopefully, she’s able to stay up.
“Love, it’s time to get up,” Maya says lightly shaking her to wake her up.
“No, five more minutes,” Carina says pulling the comforter more around her and burying her face in the crook of Maya’s neck.
“No you need to get up if you want to be ready in time, I’ll make some espresso and hopefully it wakes you up come on,” Maya says sitting up forcing Carina up as well.
Carina rubs at her eyes like a baby would when their tired and Maya can’t help but find it endearing. She stretches and gets out of bed immediately going into their closet, Maya goes into the kitchen to make them something to eat and try to make Carina espresso. She still has yet to master the art of making it but Carina says she’s getting better but she thinks she lying to her.
She begins rewarming the frozen pasta Carina made a few nights ago when Carina walks into the kitchen holding up two dresses and Maya shakes her head, of course, she hasn’t picked out her outfit.
“Which one?”
“Honestly I can’t tell the difference between the two,” Maya says honestly.
“They are two completely different dresses.”
“The one on the right,” Maya says picking at random knowing she’s not going to listen to her.
“Really?”
“Okay, why do you ask me knowing you already have an idea of what you want?” Maya asks laughing.
“Because when you pick it makes me realize what I really want to wear.”
“Which always happens to be the opposite of what I pick?” Maya asks and Carina nods.
“Yup,” Carina says leaving the room and Maya shakes her head focusing on the pasta so it doesn’t burn.
It doesn’t take long before the coffee and pasta are ready and Maya realizes she hasn’t eaten all day and suddenly starts salivating at the thought of eating.
“Foods ready!” Maya yells and Carina walks into the room still in her pajamas not looking any different than she did 15 minutes ago when she was last in here.
“It smells really good,” Carina says taking to bowl and a cup of espresso from Maya and sitting down at the table Maya sitting across from her.
“That’s good, hopefully, you can keep this down. How are you feeling?” Maya asks hoping she feels better.
“Great actually I’m still drinking the Pedialyte which is helping, I think I am officially done throwing up. My stomach still feels a bit sensitive so I don’t know how this pasta is going to sit but I’m hoping not to get sick at the rehearsal” Carina says.
“I’m sure that you will be fine as long as you stay hydrated.” They both finish dinner knowing they need to start getting ready if they want to make it on time. But knowing Carina they are going to be late no matter what. Maya gets up taking both of their plates to the sink getting ready to wash them
Carina takes a sip of her espresso and is pleasantly shocked, “ I don’t know what you did differently but this espresso is actually really good.”
Maya perks up and turns around, happy, “thank you, I thought I did a good job.”
“Surprisingly you did,” Carina says and Maya looks at her offended.
“Excuse you, why are you surprised?”
Carina gives her a look that says ‘really?’ “bambina from the moment you tried making espresso it’s, no offense, never really been that good.” Carina says and Maya’s jaw drops.
“Okay that’s rude, I’m a little mad at you right now,” Maya says not really angry but slightly offended she doesn’t have faith in her, even though she's right.
“No, I didn’t mean to make you mad,” Carina says smiling and standing up and walking over towards Maya who narrows her eyes at her.
“I’ll do the dishes you can go get ready; it won’t take me that long,” Maya says avoiding the topic of the espresso.
“It was really good remember that I said that,” Carina says ignoring what Maya said so she sees she’s only teasing her. She leans forward and kisses the corner of her mouth. “I love you.”
“Yeah, I know,” Maya says smiling kissing her cheek and grabbing her hips turning her to face the hallway. “Go start getting ready and I’ll clean up.”
Maya pushes her and then smacks her ass making Carina squeal but giggle, nonetheless.
Maya smiles and does the dishes quickly seeing they only have an hour before they need to leave and as Maya gets older the longer it takes her to get ready for some reason.
She finishes putting everything in the dishwasher and goes into their room to find Carina in the bathroom doing her makeup and like always the counter is covered in products. Maya chuckles getting out her own make-up and hums along to the Italian pop music Carina is currently listening to. She listens to it so often Maya has started to actually know what they’re saying and can sing along.
She does her make-up and quickly curls her long blonde hair and checks herself once over making sure everything is good before seeing Carina is just finishing up her make-up.
“You have half an hour before we have to leave,” Maya says handing her the curling iron and Carina rolls her eyes.
“Yes, I know mom don’t worry I’ll be ready.”
“Okay, just saying,” Maya says stepping into the closet and picks out a pair of ripped jeans and a white crop top choosing to go casual. She doesn’t mind wearing dresses but if she doesn’t have to wear one she won’t. She gets dressed and grabs everything she needs from the room her phone, her watch, a pair of vans, and goes out into the living room to sit on her phone and wait for Carina to finish getting ready.
She doesn’t understand it because normally she would be the neurotic one and freaking out but she is currently sitting on the couch on her phone waiting for Carina to finish getting ready/ freaking out. She is worried about Maya forgetting something or something going wrong while Maya is sitting still knowing everything is going to be okay.
“How are you so calm right now?” Carina says walking into the living room and putting on her earrings, her dress still unzipped in the back. Without even thinking Maya gets up and zips her up subconsciously knowing she was going to ask her to do it anyways.
“I don’t know but I know everything is going to work out, we have a new venue that is beautiful, Andy isn’t sick, my pantsuit is fixed and most importantly, I have the most amazing and gorgeous soon-to-be wife to keep me distracted. Even if she is being crazy at some points.” Maya whispers the last part under her breath but not quite enough for Carina not to hear.
“Mi scusi?! I am not being crazy!” Carina says laughing looking for her purse, Maya spots it by the door and is about to point it out before Carina makes a comment.
“I learned this from you ya know. You are always the organized one and on top of everything with your clipboard and now somehow I have morphed into that and you have adopted my ‘everything will be fine’ attitude. Where is my purse?!” Carina rambles and Maya chuckles shaking her head.
“It’s where it always is, hanging up by the door,” Maya says as she watches the confused look grace Carina’s face as she looks over there and sees it.
“I swear it wasn’t there before,” Carina says walking towards the door and puts on her heels Maya follows her but leans against the door watching.
Carina knows exactly what she is doing, she is wearing Maya’s favorite flowy white dress and heels that make her legs look amazing.
“You know exactly what you’re doing, don’t you? For the second night in a row might I add.” Maya asks and Carina turns towards her giving her a confused look.
“What?”
Maya only raises an eyebrow and Carina smiles mischievously, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Mhmm, the only difference is tonight we don’t get to come home together and have hot and steamy sex,” Maya says and Carina pouts making Maya laugh.
“Yeah, that was really great sex last night.”
“That’s cause we were drunk and we both get handsy when we’re drunk.” Maya comments and Carina chuckles knowing Maya’s right.
Maya shakes her head grabbing her keys from the bowl she grabs her bags from the front door as well as a garment bag hanging on the back of the door that has her pantsuit in it. She does a mental check that she has everything she needs before she opens the door.
“You know you’re doing all this for nothing right? We won’t even be seeing each other until tomorrow afternoon” Maya says locking the door as they make their way down the stairs.
“Doesn’t mean I can’t have a little fun,” Carina says throwing back a wink, and Maya blushes slightly annoyed.
“You’re no fun Deluca,” Maya says.
Carina sticks out her tongue at her making Maya smile and shake her head as they make their way out of the building and to Maya’s car. Maya puts her stuff in the back seat and they both get into the car, Maya pauses for a moment and Carina gives her a weird look.
“Did you forget something?” Carina asks but Maya looks at her with a look of love in her eyes and it takes Carina’s breath away.
“We’re getting married tomorrow,” Maya says as if it's finally hitting her that tomorrow they will be saying I do and all of the craziness will be over with.
“Yeah, we are,” Carina says leaning forward, Maya meeting her halfway. They share a slow kiss, a kiss that says everything it needs to. It says that they love each other and always will and how happy they are with each other. Maya frames Carina’s face in her hands and pulls away from the kiss to kiss her on the tip of her nose.
“I love you,” Maya whispers against Carina’s lips.
“Ti voglio bene anche io, tanto.” Carina whispers back, pulling back enough to see the smile of love and adoration on her face.
“I can’t believe that in less than 24 hours we’ll be wives,” Maya says it finally really hitting her.
“I know, it’s craziness, but I feel ready,” Carina says and Maya’s smile lights up the whole car with how happy and content she is.
“I feel ready too, I can’t believe we are actually doing this. I honestly wasn’t sure I’d ever get married and now that we are I can’t imagine my life any other way.” Maya says and Carina tears up a little, sometimes Maya can be a giant sap.
“I can’t imagine a life where I wasn’t yours,” Carina responds and Maya leans forward enveloping Carina in a kiss and deepening it by framing her jaw with her hands. Carina leans into Maya’s touch wrapping her hands around Maya’s forearms. Carina is the first one to pull away and give Maya a content smile, she wishes she could sit in this moment forever.
“I love you.” Carina whispers and Maya leans forward connecting their foreheads.
“I love you too…We should probably get going or we are going to be late.” Maya says pulling away from the embrace and starting the car.
“This is me we’re talking about; everyone expects me to be late it’s fine,” Carina says chuckling.
“That’s not an excuse to be late, I know that you know how to be on time you just choose not to,” Maya says laughing.
“I always lose track of time and I start getting ready too late, it’s not my fault,” Carina says and Maya shakes her head laughing.
“I beg to differ but that’s fine,” Maya says laughing. “How are you feeling?” Maya asks knowing Carina was still feeling nauseous earlier while they ate.
“Not too bad actually. But I know if I drink too much tonight I am going to be hungover tomorrow which would not be ideal.” Carina says and Maya agrees.
“Yeah, I got blessed with good genes that I am able to recover quickly,” Maya says laughing.
“I don’t understand it, you take two Advil drink a glass of orange juice before bed and you’re good the next morning,” Carina says still in amazement.
“I’m only fine if I have tacos the next morning, if not I get grumpy,” Maya says and Carina chuckles remembering all the taco runs they made in college.
“Yeah we did that so often that I crave tacos after a night of drinking, everyone thinks I’m crazy when I do it. Did you go and get tacos when you left earlier?”
“No I should have but I just wanted to get home so I didn’t think about stopping by that place on Ferry St.”
“Well, we still haven’t picked where we want to go to after the rehearsal maybe we can go to a Mexican place.” Carina takes Maya’s hand as she drives the 45 minutes to the venue.
“You know what, I like that idea because I have been craving tacos since I woke up. So who all is coming to this rehearsal dinner?” Maya asks
“Just our immediate families and bridesmaids no one else, just the people that absolutely need to be there,” Carina says.
“Cool, keeping it low-key. Also, I am going to remind you now not to forget the rings tomorrow, I know you, and if you’re not reminded you’ll forget them.” Maya says knowing she’ll be in a rush to get out the door and end up forgetting them.
“What are you talking about I thought you had the rings?” Carina says and Maya’s stomach drops, there’s no way they lost their rings.
“No. I specifically remember you saying you were going to take the rings because I said that you were going to end up forgetting them. But you said that you wouldn’t forget them and it would be fine.”
“No, you said I would lose them and that you should take them so they wouldn’t get lost,” Carina says knowing she was right; Maya wouldn’t trust her with the rings because she constantly loses things.
“Carina-“
“No this is not my fault; you took them from me for this exact reason.”
“If I took them from you I would have them and we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now,” Maya says trying not to get mad but also trying to think back to their talk a few nights ago about who was taking the rings.
“There is no way this is getting blamed on me; you took the rings. You can make mistakes too ya know, it’s very possible that you lost them.” Carina says pointing out. She isn't mad about it more just annoyed that Maya is automatically blaming her
“Fine there’s a possibility that I could have lost them but either way when you get home you need to search that apartment for them. I probably would have put them on or in my nightstand.” Maya says really trying to remember but it’s eclipsed by the fact that they had mind-blowing sex right after they discussed the rings a few weeks ago and that’s blocking everything out from her memory.
“I’ll find them, they have got to be in the apartment somewhere,” Carina says and leans over kissing Maya’s cheek hoping to calm her down. She knows the neurotic side of her is coming out now, the side of her that needs everything to be in control. But she knows how to handle Maya and knows she just needs some time to cool off and then she’ll be fine.
They get to the venue and park; they are the last ones there like always and Andrew comes walking up to them rolling his eyes. “There you two are, you’re 15 minutes late.”
“Don’t look at me I was ready on time, but there was also traffic,” Maya says.
"Did Carina take too long to get ready as usual?" Andrew asks and laughs.
“We left with plenty of time to get here this is not on me, what is this pick on Carina day?” Carina says walking away from the two of them and Maya has to hold in a tiny smile.
“What was that about?” Andrew questions.
“We may or may not have lost our rings and I distinctively remember her saying she would take them and not lose them. Because I remember trusting her not to lose them but she claims I took them for this exact reason; so they wouldn’t get lost.” Maya explains and Andrew nods his head.
“I see, so she’s mad she’s getting blamed for something she did, got it.” He says and Maya rolls her eyes.
“No there’s a chance I could have misplaced them let’s not put all of the blame on her,” Maya says taking some of the fall knowing she could have easily forgotten about them.
They make their way into the venue where everyone is waiting for them to start, they all follow the manager to the place where the ceremony will be taking place.
“Alright so from what I understand is that you will alternate bridesmaids coming out and then Carina will be the first one down the aisle followed by Maya and then the ceremony will start.” They all stand at the back of the room and listen to what she says.
“Why don’t we run through it twice just so everyone knows what they’re doing and then you’re good to go.” The woman says and they all get in line based on what the woman tells them.
First Carina’s little cousins walk down the aisle as their flower girls and everyone gushes at them, they are 6-year-old twins from back home and Carina can’t get over how cute they are and how precious they are going to look tomorrow in their little dresses.
Maya stands next to Mason who is walking her down the aisle and gives a nervous shake bouncing on the balls of her feet she needs the energy out of her body if she is going to do this. And this is only the rehearsal she can only imagine what it’s going to be like tomorrow when she’s actually walking down the aisle.
“You nervous big sis?” Mason asks laughing as he watches his big sister nervously move her body.
“I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like tomorrow, I can’t stand still right now, I am a bundle of nerves,” Maya says and shoots him a nervous smile.
“You’re going to be fine Mai just take deep breaths,” Mason says and Maya rolls her eyes.
“That’s your sage advice? Take deep breaths. That seems to be everyone’s mantra these days.” Maya says she’s not angry at him by any means she’s just nervous about tomorrow
“Okay I know that’s not intended for me so I won’t be mad but that’s the only thing you can do is breathe. Everything is going to go as planned tomorrow.” Mason says trying to handle it and it’s sort of working Maya stops bouncing on the balls of her feet and actually attempts deep breaths.
Before she knows it the manager of the venue tells her it’s time for her to walk out and she takes another deep breath before walking up the aisle.
“So where’s Tracy? I don’t see her anywhere.” Maya asks making small talk as they walk down the long aisle.
“She’s on her way, she didn’t need to be here for this so I told her to meet us for dinner, which is where by the way?” Mason asks looking down at her.
“That Mexican place off 5th, I am still hungover from last night and I haven’t had my fill of hangover tacos so Carina said we should get some,” Maya says as they finally make it down the aisle and to the raised platform.
Maya looks Carina in the eye and breaks out into a huge smile Carina mirrors the expression.
“Hi,” Maya says reaching for Carina’s hands and squeezing them.
“Hey,” Carina says back before the manager speaks up.
“Alright let’s do that one more time and then everything will be set for tomorrow.”
Everyone walks back down the aisle Carina not letting go of Maya’s hand.
“You nervous?” Maya asks and Carina tilts her head back and forth.
“Yes and no, I’m scared I’m going to trip or forget my vows but I’m so excited to be married to you and get to call you my wife,” Carina says and they lean into each other for a quick kiss.
“I can’t wait to call you my wife either,” Maya says before they have to separate again. Maya and her party go to one side of the door while Carina and hers go to the other side.
They run through all of it one more time making sure everyone understands their role and what they need to do. Before they know it they are out of there and on their way back into the city for dinner.
“That was actually painless,” Maya says as she and Carina drive back in Maya’s car.
“That was, and nothing bad happened which I was surprised, papa was civilized and didn’t say anything inappropriate,” Carina says reaching over to put her hand on Maya’s thigh squeezing it gently.
“Well I am glad he is behaving; we don’t need any black eyes the day before the wedding,” Maya says threading her fingers through Carina’s and kissing the back of her hand. Carina chuckles and looks over at Maya as she drives and admires her. She can’t believe that by this time tomorrow, she will be able to call Maya her wife.
“Why are you staring at me?” Maya asks quickly looking over at Carina before looking back at the road.
“Just admiring you and thinking about how this time tomorrow we’ll be wives and partying the night away,” Carina says and Maya smiles not being able to believe it either.
“Yeah it’s kind of crazy, after nine months of planning and we’re here getting married tomorrow. And I have the most beautiful bride in the world.” Maya compliments and Carina blushes.
Carina brings their intertwined hands up to her lips and kisses Maya’s hand, “I think I have the most beautiful bride in the world.”
“Are we really going to have this argument because we could go all night.” Maya says as both women giggle.
“I love you,” Carina says, sighing completely content and happy with how her life is going.
“I love you too,” Maya says looking over at Carina and gives her the smile that she only reserves for her. Her carefree, nothing can hurt me smile, a smile that says she loves her so much and would do anything to protect her.
Tonight was a good night but tomorrow is going to be even better and they can’t wait until they get to experience being married.
