One bright, beautiful day, Phoenix decided to bring you and Maya to the Berry Big Circus. You had never been to a circus before and were excited the entire way there. Once there, you looked all around you in awe, taking in all of the bright colors. One billboard, in particular, caught your attention. “Wow, that guy looks very flamboyant,” you observed.
“That’s Max Galactica! He's the greatest magician ever!” Maya declared. Phoenix chuckled, “well, I wouldn't say the greatest,” he said in his usual fashion.
“How do you know? You've never even seen any of his performances!” Maya protested.
“How about we see for ourselves?” you suggested.
“I guess we might as well,” says Phoenix. Maya was all smiles as the three of you headed to the main tent.
Once inside, Maya and Phoenix argued over where to sit. Luckily they agreed to your suggestion to sit in the middle rows. Soon, various people filed in and filled in the seats. Before long, the show began. You were intrigued by the various performances. After watching the animal acts, you found yourself laughing at a clown dressed in blue. Maya laughed alongside you, while Phoenix looked away in embarrassment.
Afterward, you were intrigued by a ventriloquist and his very outspoken puppet. They reminded you of the Ventriloquist and Scarface from Batman. You must've been entranced by the act, as you jumped when Maya nudged you. You looked at her inquiringly, and she simply grinned and pointed to the duo whilst nudging you playfully. At first, you didn't understand what Maya meant, but soon caught on and blushed. You suppose it did look like you were interested in the ventriloquist, but you didn't even know his name. Regardless, you knew Maya was going to tease you about it later.
After various other performances, the final act was about to begin. A purple puff of smoke and sparkles appeared high above and out flew Maximillion Galactica. Like the ventriloquist, you were enchanted by the magician. You couldn’t believe the various tricks and feats he pulled off, and never took your eyes off him. Like earlier, Maya lightly teased you about how engrossed you were with the magician’s act. You chuckled and rolled your eyes, which Phoenix often did with Maya’s shenanigans. Soon, the act ended, and the show was over.
