At night, in the Jakku village, a man named Shaw was given something important by another man, Lor San Tekka. He tells Shaw, “This will begin to make thing right. Things in the galaxy have not been the same, and without the Jedi, there can be no balance in the Force.”
Shaw nods, “Well, because of you, we may have a chance. The General’s been after this for a long time.”
“The General? To me, she’s royalty.”
Then an droid came inside in panic, BB-8. This alerted them and they saw ships headed their way. To keep the information safe, Shaw makes his escape, but the Stormtroopers arrived. They started their attack on the village and Shaw had to defend it and the people.
Having no other choice, Shaw tells his droid that he needs to protect the information device at all times.
There is a trooper in the field, overwhelmed by the actions, he finds another trooper at the brink of death and he covered his helmet in blood. There is a shuttle craft coming and it lands revealing a man in black.
The man in black, “Look how old you’ve become.”
“Something far worse has happened to you.” Lor San Tekka says.
“You know what I’ve come for.”
“I know where you came from, before you called yourself Sheidheda.”
Sheidheda, the man in black, spoke, “The map to Skywalker. We know you’ve found it, and now you’re going to give it to the First Order.”
“The First Order rose from the dark side….you did not.”
He got angry, “I’ll show you the dark side.”
“You may try, but you cannot deny the truth that is your family.”
His lightsaber ignited. One large blade as well as two small ones on each side. He then kills Lor San Tekka and then is met with Shaw after he tried to shoot him down. Sheidheda knew that the old man gave it to him and he took him aboard the ship. Then a larger Trooper came to Sheidheda and asked, “Sir, the villagers?”
“Kill them all.”
They did. But one Trooper did not. Sheidheda noticed but did nothing. Meanwhile BB-8 escaped.
In the large ship, Shaw was taken as a prisoner. The Trooper removed his helmet to breathe. The large Trooper, Captain Diyoza came to him, saying, “EN-2187. Submit your blaster for inspection.”
“Yes, Captain.” The Trooper, Ethan said.
“And who gave you permission to remove that helmet?”
The Trooper, EN-2187, replied, “I’m sorry, Captain.”
“Report to my division at once.”
He knew he was in trouble.
It cuts to morning on Jakku. A girl, Hope, is exploring an old recked ship for anything she can use. She headed to town on her gas speeder and took her supplies to the shops. She bought food and went home.
She then hears something coming her way. She finds a droid in need of help. She frees the droid. “Where do you come from?”
BB-8 tells her its classified.
“Well, the outpost is that way, stay off Kelvin Ridge. And keep away from the Sinking Fields in the north, you’ll drown in the sand.”
He listens but ignore her and he follows her.
“Don’t follow me. Town is that way.” Hope said again. Knowing that it’s gonna be dark soon, she offered the droid to stay until the morning.
Back at the ship…
Sheidheda speaks, “I had no idea we had the best pilot in the Resistance on board. Comfortable?”
“Not really”
“I’m impressed. No one has been able to get out of you what you did with the map” The dark masked one said.
He smirked, “Might wanna rethink your technique.”
“Where is it?”
Shaw looks at him, “The Resistance will not be intimidated by you.”
Losing his patience, “Where…is it? Ah, the droid. A BB unit. On Jakku.”
Back on Jakku… Morning…
“Don’t give up. He still might show up. Whoever it is you’re waiting for. Classified. I know all about waiting.”
BB-8 asked her questions about her family.
“For my family. They’ll be back. One day.”
They head to the shop and she tries to trade for food. The shopkeeper tells her the price and she gets mad. The shopkeeper then see the droid and offers her more than before. She tells him the droid is not for sale, and then leaves.
On the ship, again…
The stormtrooper, EN-2187 takes the prisoner Shaw away from the others in order of ‘Sheidheda.’ The stormtrooper then reveals himself, “Listen carefully and do exactly as I say, I can get you out of here.”
“What?”
“This is a recuse. I’m helping you escape.”
Shaw asked, “Are you with the Resistance? Why are you helping me?”
“Because it’s the right thing to do. Can you fly a TIE fighter?”
That was a stupid question.
They both make it to the docking bay and enter the fighter. Everyone took notice and tries to get them out. Both Shaw and Ethan fire on them. They make their escape but in order to do that, they had to take out some cannons first.
“What’s your name?”
“EN-2187!”
Ethan got confused, “EN-what?”
“That’s the only name they gave me!”
“Well, I ain’t using it! EN, huh? Ethan. I’m gonna call you Ethan! That alright?”
Ethan nodded, “Ethan. Yeah, I like that!”
“I’m Shaw. Shaw Dameron.”
Having no other choice, thy head to the planet. Ethan thinks it’s a big idea.
“No, no, no, no! We can’t go back to Jakku! We need to get out of the system!”
Shaw disagrees, “I have to! I have to get my droid before the First Order does! He’s a BB unit! Orange and white: one of a kind!”
“I don’t care what color he is! No droid can be that important!”
Again, he disagrees, “This one is, pal. That droid’s got a map that leads straight to Aden Skywalker!”
Ethan groans, “Oh you’ve gotta be kidding me!! I---
Suddenly, they got hit and the TIE Fighter is out of control and crash lands on the surface of Jakku. Landing in the desert, Ethan went to look for Shaw. He found the ship, in flames but he managed to get his jacket, but the ship stank into the sand and it exploded.
Given no choice, Ethan heads to town on foot. He finds water and then sees a young girl being attacked. He goes to help. He then sees the droid. Hope sees him with the help of BB-8 and confronts him. She attacks, he defends himself.
“What’s your hurry, thief?” She says to him.
Ethan, confused, “What--?! Thief?”
BB-8 zips him.
“The jacket! This droid says you stole it!”
“I’ve had a pretty messed up day, alright?! So I’d appreciate if you stop accusing me – OW!!! STOP IT!!” Ethan yelled.
Hope asked, “Where’d you get it! It belongs to his master.”
“Shaw Dameron. That was he name, right? He was captured…by the First Order! I helped him escape but our ship crashed. He didn’t make it. I tried to help him. I’m sorry…”
BB-8 is sad and rolls off.
Hope asked, “So you’re with the Resistance?”
He lied, “Obviously. Yes. I am. I’m with the Resistance, yeah.”
“I’ve never met a Resistance fighter before.”
“Well, now you have.”
Hope says, “BB-8 says he’s on a secret mission, he has to get back to your base.”
He nods, “He carries the map that leads to Aden Skywalker, and everyone’s after it.”
Hope is shocked, “Aden Skywalker? I thought he was a myth.”
Suddenly, Strom troopers attack and they make their escape. TIE Fighters get involved. They make their way towards an old ship, The Millennium Falcon. It’s a fighter for survival as they try to lose and destroy the TIE Fighters. Once destroyed, they head to space.
BB-8 was concerned.
“It’s alright. He’s with the Resistance. He’s going to get you home. We both will.” Hope then turns to him. “I don’t know your name.”
“Ethan. What’s yours?”
“I’m Hope.”
Suddenly, there was a problem with the ship. Hope manages to fix it with the help of Ethan, who lied to BB-8 about him being in the Resistance. Hope asked where the base is and BB-8 tells her its in the Ileenium System. She said that she’ll drop them off but she’s going back to Jakku. Ethan questioned it, and she told him that it was none of his business.
All of a sudden, the power goes out. Someone had locked onto the ship and they had to hide. The door then opens and enters Jordan Green and Chewbacca.
“Chewie, we’re home…” He said.
Soon, they find Hope and Ethan and BB-8. They asked them questions to which they replied. Jordan asked where they got the ship. Hope tells him on the Niima Outpost. Jordan says that the Millennium Flacon was stolen from him.
“This is the Millennium Falcon? You’re Jordan Green?”
He looked, “I used to be.”
“Jordan Green? The Rebellion General?”
Jordan suggested to take the kids to the nearest inhabited planet. Hope disagreed and that they needed his help.
“This droid has to get to the Resistance base as soon as possible!”
“He’s carrying a map to Aden Skywalker.”
Jordan stops walking.
“You are the Jordan Green that fought with the Rebellion. You knew him.”
Jordan then turns to look at them. “Yeah, I knew him. I knew Aden.”
Meanwhile, in a dark unknown location…
“The droid will soon be delivered to the Resistance… leading them to the last Jedi. If Skywalker returns the new Jedi will rise.”
The general says, “Supreme Leader, I take full responsibility for th---”
“General! Our strategy must now change.”
The general then says, “The weapon is ready. I believe that time has come to use it. We shall destroy the government that supports the Resistance, the Republic. Without their friends to protect them, the Resistance will be vulnerable and we will stop them before they reach Skywalker.”
“Go. Oversee preparations.” When the general leaves, the Supreme Leader looks to Sheidheda. “There’s been an awakening. Have you felt it?”
“Yes.”
“There’s something more. The droid we seek is aboard the Millennium Falcon. In the hands of your father, Jordan Green.”
Sheiheda replied, “He means nothing to me.”
“Even you, master of the Knights of Heda, have never faced such a test.”
Sheidheda replied, “By the grace of your training, I will not be seduced.”
“We shall see.”
Jordan then sees the map of the galaxy and then tells them everything they thought was a myth, was true. The Jedi, the Sith, the Force. All of it. It was true.
They head to a new planet. Ethan tries to find away to leave, but Hope asked him to stay. He then tells her the truth about who he really is. That he was a Strom Trooper and that he left the First Order.
Hope then goes off on her own, hearing voices, and she stumbles upon an old crate containing an old lightsaber. She touches it and had flash memories of the past. Ones of Sheiheda, ones of an old R2 unit and his master, another of her younger self.
She breaks out of the flashed memories and sees the owner of the shop.
Hope asked, “What was that? I shouldn’t have gone in there.”
“That Lightsaber was Aden’s. And his mother’s before him and now, it calls to you!”
Hope nods, “I have to get back to Jakku.”
The shopkeeper nods, “Jordan told me. Dear child. I see your eyes. You already know the truth. Whomever you’re waiting for on Jakku, they’re never coming back. But...there’s someone who still could.”
“Aden.”
She nods, “The belonging you seek is not behind you. It is ahead. I am no Jedi, but I know the Force. It moves through and surrounds every living thing. Close your eyes. Feel it. The light. It’s always been there. It will guide you. The saber. Take it.”
Hope nods, “I’m never touching that again. I don’t want any part of this.”
The First Order arrives to the planet. They attack. Jordan and Ethan try to Hope. The shopkeeper give Ethan the lightsaber.
The First Order destroys the shop. Strom troopers fight Hope in the woods. Sheidheda follows.
Jordan and Chewie fight to defend the innocent. Ethan tries to fins Hope, but he has to get past the Strom troopers first. Jordan helps, but he and Chewie get captured.
Then, the Resistance arrive.
Shaw Dameron, comes to the rescues.
Meanwhile, Hope is surrounded in the forest. With only a blaster, she is confronted by Sheiheda. Using the Force, he hold her still against a tree.
Sheidheda speaks, “The girl I’ve heard so much about. The droid. Where is it? The map. You’ve seen it.”
A Strom trooper came, “Sir, Resistance fighters! We need more troops.”
“Pull the division out. Forget the droid. We have what we need.”
Then, with the First Order gone, the Resistance reveals General Madi stands and see Jordan. C-3pO is also with her.
Jordan said, “You changed your hair.”
“Same jacket.”
“No, new jacket.” Jordan goes on to say, “I saw him. Madi, I saw our son. He was here.”
Meanwhile, Sheidheda and Hope captured and is interrogating her.
“Where am I?”
“You’re my guest.”
“Where are the others?”
He replied, “You mean the murderers, traitors and thieves you call friends? You’ll be relieved to hear that I have no idea. You still want to kill me.”
Hope gets mad, “That happens when you’re being hunted by a creature in a mask.”
He then reveals his face. “The droid, tell me about it.”
“He’s a BB unit with a selenium drive and a thermal hyperscan vindicator---
“He’s carrying a section of a navigational chart. We have the rest, recovered from archives of the Empire. We need the last piece. And somehow, you convinced the droid to show it to you. You. A scavenger.” He continues on to say, “You know I can take whatever I want…. You’re so lonely…so afraid to leave… at night, desperate to sleep… you imagine an ocean. I see it – I see the island… and Jordan Green. You feel like he’s the father you never had. He would’ve disappointed you.”
Hope grunts, “Get out of my head!”
Sheidheda goes on, “I know you’ve seen the map. It’s in there…and now you’ll give it to me.”
Hope growls, “I’m not giving you anything.”
“We’ll see.” He uses the Force to make her talk, to get her to reveal the map from her mind. She resists against him. Eventually, she enters his head.
“…You….You’re afraid….that you will never be as strong as…. Darth Wanheda!”
Sheidheda is confronted by the Supreme Leader and tells her that Hope is strong with the Force but she is untrained. The general tells them that the found the Resistance.
Hope then frees herself using the Force and makes her escape.
The Resistance figure out a way to destroy the Sith base even though its much bigger than the Death Star. Madi and Jordan have a moment to talk about bringing their son home.
Jordan takes his ship, with Chewie and Ethan and head to the Sith base planet. They crash land on the snow near the cliff.
The First Order is on alert to find Hope, then Sheidheda senses Jordan Green. They eventually made it inside. They capture Captain Diyoza in the process. Hope tries to find a way off the planet, she climbs the walls for cover.
Meanwhile, Ethan makes Captain Diyoza lower the shields. This gave the Resistance the chance to engage and attack.
Ethan and the others find Hope. They try to escape together and make it outside, but they head back inside to help the fly fighters. They head to a tunnel to set the bombs. Chewie sets a few and Jordan sets the others.
Sheidheda is close by and senses they’re near. Jordan sees his boy walking and he follows him.
“Malachi!” His voice echoes the room.
Sheidheda turns to face him, “Jordan Green. I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time.”
“Take off that mask. You don’t need it.”
“What do you think you’ll see if I do?”
Jordan said, “The face of my son.”
Sheidheda takes off his mask. “Your son is gone. He was weak and foolish, like his father. So I destroyed him.”
“That’s what Blodreina wants you to believe but it’s not true. My son is alive.”
Sheidheda nods, “No. The Supreme Leader is wise.”
“Blodreina is using you for your power. When she gets what she wants, she’ll crush you – you know it’s true.”
“It’s too late.”
“No it’s not. Leave here with me. Come home. We miss you.”
Sheidheda nods, tears in his eyes, “I’m being torn apart. I want to be free of this pain. I know what I have to do, but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it. Will you help me?”
“Yes. Anything.”
Sheidheda hands Jordan the lightsaber. But not completely, and he ignites it and kills Jordan Green. Hope screams, “NO!!!”
“Thank you.” Sheidheda says to Jordan, then he falls.
With Jordan Green dead, Hope and other make their escape. They head to the forest and are confronted by Sheidheda. “We’re not done yet!”
“You’re a monster!”
“It’s just use now. Jordan Green can’t save you.”
Hope tried to shoot him but he used to Force to send her flying. She’s knocked out. Ethan goes to her, concerned. He then uses the blue lightsaber to defend her.
“That lightsaber,” Sheidheda says as he points his blade, “It belongs to me!”
“Come and get it.” Ethan says.
Both Ethan and Sheidheda fight, but Ethan lost his grip on the blade. Sheidheda tried to grab the saber but Hope grabbed it first using the Force. They both fight. She became successful and defeated him. The Resistance had destroyed the planet base and they returned home.
General Madi and Hope met for the first time and they hug.
Suddenly, R2 wakes up. He then reveals the map and BB-8 completes it. They had found the location of Aden Skywalker.
Hope sets on the journey to find him with Chewie and R2 on the Falcon. They head to the planet, Hope walks on foot to the top of the mountain and she see someone there on a cloak.
The person she sees, is none other than Aden Skywalker. Without a word, she hands him the lightsaber.
