Chapter 1: [Day 1: Introduction]
Summary:
All twenty houseguests made their way into the house, eager to complete the challenge of living in the house for about a week and a half.
Each guest was promised a 1 million Robux cash prize if they were to catch the murderer and survive for 10-12 days at the "Murder House".
What they don't know, however, is that the murderer is among them all...
They must figure out who the murderer is and stop them.
Chapter Text
Once the houseguests finished unpacking their belongings, the Announcer calls them out via megaphone.
"Okay, that's everyone... "
"The rules of this 'game' are simple. All of you are to survive the Murder house, BUT, you have to also apprehend the murderer. Seems simple enough, right?"
The houseguests nodded.
"Do you see the little hat over there? Pick one piece of paper out of it, but DON'T show your paper to anyone."
Everyone takes a piece of paper out of the hat, each looking at their roles.
"The roles on your paper may seem odd or even Questionable, but I can assure you that this is a part of the game and I expect all of you to act out your roles because if you don't, you would be eliminated."
"So, with that being said, all you have to do is reveal the identity of the murderer, act out your roles, and survive the Murder house."
"And lastly, when the lights cut off, I expect all of you to go to your rooms."
"Okay, dad-" Alex scoffs.
"Any questions before we begin?"
None of the houseguests had any questions.
"If you have any questions, concerns, or even wanted to tap out, just text the number I gave you."
"Anyways... The murderer wishes you good luck." The Announcer says before cutting off the intercom.
Some of these houseguests are pretty annoying, but they're providing him with free entertainment so he couldn't complain too much.
He'll just have to sit back and see who survives...
After the intercom cut off, the houseguests went to do their own separate things.
"Howdy-do, m' lady-" Lukey says, tipping their fedora and looking at Natalia, who was cringing.
"Lukey stop! You're scaring the women!" Jackson screams.
"Who gave 'em the fedora, anyway?" Alex asks, clearly bored.
"The hat was the 'role hat' the Announcer gave us." Lukey answers, placing the hat on their head.
After a moment of awkward silence, Elaina speaks.
"We don't know when the murderer will attack, or how they will do it. Does anybody have any ideas on how to go about this situation?"
"What if the "murderer" was something made up by the Announcer to scare us?" Alex sighs.
"Regardless, he said that all we have to do is apprehend the murderer, and besides, what if the murderer is an actual murderer?"
"Well, if that's the case, we can defend ourselves, using the kitchen supplies!" Vinny declares.
"Are we going to use your kitchen supply collection, or are we going to use the ones in the kitchen?"
"Normally, I would say to use the ones in the kitchen, but since this might be a life or death situation, whatever's the closest to us at that time..." Vinny says, reluctantly.
"What about Chlorine? What are we going to do if the murderer strikes him? He can't get that far in that aquarium tank by himself..." Marley asks, looking at Chlorine.
"We'll defend him. Don't worry, Marley." Sabrina comforts.
After a while of talking, the houseguests decide to go their separate ways.
Some of the houseguests decided to sleep, leaving the remaining ones to play board games among other things.
"Come on, man! Just let me get on the ladders!" Kai says as they violently shake the dice.
After they threw the dice, it landed on snakes.
"Snaakes~!" Vinny laughs.
"SHUT THE HECK UP, YOU F-"
The lights cut off.
Confused, the remaining houseguests scurry to their rooms.
It is now time for the murderer to play...
But before they could do that, they have to get the Announcer's permission first (The Announcer told the murderer that they could kill pretty much anyone that wasn't healed by the medic.)
So, the murderer waited for the perfect opportunity to strike.
Notes:
I didn't give most of the houseguests any actual speaking roles, because I didn't think it was necessary to cram all 20 houseguests' introductions into one chapter (and because I plan on spreading out the houseguests' speaking roles and such.)
2023 A/N: I made a couple of edits in the story to fix: grammar, Elaina and Lukey's pronouns, as well as some continuity errors that I've made when I was writing this story.
Also, should I tag the Announcer character as an original (unnamed) male character or should I use something else for him? I'm not quite sure what to tag him as since he's not a main character.
Chapter 2: [Night 1 - Day 2: Blood in the Water]
Summary:
After the houseguests retreat to their rooms, the first murder happens, setting Flicker into motion.
Notes:
Content warnings: Murder, violence, drowning (not implied, skip paragraph/section 2 if you're uncomfortable with drowning.)
Chapter Text
Dan was feeling thirsty.
He sat up, thinking about whether or not he should get some water.
The Announcer told him and the other houseguests that he expected them to go to their rooms once the lights cut off.
'Maybe I should quickly get water and quickly come back. It shouldn't take that long, right?' Dan thinks to himself as he got out of his bed and walked to the kitchen.
After the Announcer gave the murderer the green light to murder someone for the night, they went out to find anybody that was unfortunate enough to be outside their room.
The murderer found Dan getting some water from the kitchen.
Should they get him while he's getting his water? Nah, they have to get him while he's genuinely distracted.
The murderer went inside the bathroom (which was the nearest room) and started to plan any possible murder methods they could use.
A few minutes later, Dan came into the bathroom to wash his hands.
The murderer wastes no time apprehending him.
Dan tries to scream for help, only for the murderer to place their hand on his mouth.
He tries to fight back, but the murderer just slams his head against the wall.
Disoriented, Dan falls, gripping onto the sink.
The murderer thought that bashing his head until he died would do well, but that would take too long. Quick and clean murders were the best ways to not get caught.
So, the murderer dragged the man to the toilet and opened it up.
They were cringing at the thought of drowning someone in a toilet, but filling the tub or sink would've drawn too much attention to them.
The murderer shoves Dan's head under the water.
The water seems to have 'sobered' him up just enough to know that he should be fighting back.
Dan grips both sides of the toilet to push himself up, but the murderer wouldn't let up, leaving Dan with no choice but to fight back.
The murderer roughly grabs Dan's head and takes it from out of the water, leaving Dan to hyperventilate.
Dan tried to fight back to prevent his face from getting in the water, only for his head to be submerged in the water, yet again.
Dan's lungs were filling up with water, leaving him with a burning sensation in his chest.
He couldn't breathe anymore...
Nobody was coming to save him...
Should he even try..?
Dan thinks about how different things would've been had he not gone out of his room.
But that didn't matter now...
Black clouds his vision as he slowly fades into unconsciousness, watching as air bubbles float to the surface, taking his air with him.
He wants to fight with what little he had left, but he couldn't.
He didn't want to.
Dan watches as his world faded into nothingness.
He felt tired...
All he wanted to do now is sleep...
The psychic woke up to a message on their phone.
After about a minute of contemplation, they checked their phone.
The Announcer told him that they were able to see the roles of everyone in the house, under the condition that they choose one person each night.
"Seems a bit overpowered if you ask me..." The psychic mutters under their breath, hovering their finger over the person's name they wanted to choose.
After they chose Marley, they found out that she was a survivor.
"Huh... I guess I was correct in guessing her role..." The psychic sighs before going back to sleep.
The next day, the houseguests hear the power generator turning back on, waking up from their sleep.
"Hey, guys! I got a free muffin! Anyone want it-?" Lukey says, preparing to cut the muffin in half.
"No." Vinny answers.
After the Announcer summoned them to the living room, the speaker turns on.
"Good morning, houseguests! I hope y'all slept well-" The Announcer greets, before noticing that Dan is missing.
"Wait... Something's off... We're missing one person..." The Announcer states.
"Hopefully the missing houseguest isn't sleeping in..." The Announcer mutters under his breath.
"I think now would be a good time to look for the missing houseguest. Tell me when you find them." The Announcer says before cutting off his microphone.
The houseguests went their own separate ways to find Dan.
"I found him!" Sabrina shouts, pointing to the restroom.
Some of the houseguests went into the small bathroom, seeing Dan with his face in the toilet.
"Did he have a rough night of partying?" Vinny jokes.
Once he started prodding at Dan's dead body, his face turned into one of shock.
"H-he's cold!"
Everybody (except for Chlorine) was shocked.
"What happened?"
"Oh my! It appears that the murderer killed Dan. Apparently, he seems to have been drowned in the toilet. What a crappy way to go~!" The Announcer announces.
"Really? Jokes at a time like this?" Marley groans.
"Well, I gotta lighten up the mood somehow. " He tells Marley.
"Anybody know who did it?" Veronica asks.
"I'm glad you asked, Veronica! I have news from our local investigator as to who they believe the murderer is!"
The Announcer [loudly, so the houseguests could hear him] shuffles some papers.
"The investigator believes that the murderer is Colleen. You should use this information amongst yourselves to vote. I will give you ten minutes to discuss your votes. I hope y'all have your alibis ready~!" The Announcer says, before cutting the microphone off.
The houseguests look at Colleen, suspicious of the fact that she might've committed the murder.
"I-I'm not the murderer!" Colleen pleads.
"Don't lie to us, Colleen. The investigator thinks that you did it." Marley chides.
"The investigator doesn't know anything! How can you blindly follow them from word of mouth?"
"That is true..." Annie says, causing her to be calmer.
"What's your Alibi, Colleen?" She asks, much to Colleen's chagrin.
"Last night I was playing games on my phone before the lights went out. After that, I just went to my room to sleep."
"Maybe it was Sabrina! She's the one who quickly discovered the body-" Vinny deflects before being cut off.
"What?! Just because I was the first to find Dan's body doesn't mean that I killed him!" Sabrina objects.
"Why are you so quick to accuse someone, Vinny? Is it because You're hiding something?" Carlos counters, pointing an accusing finger at Vinny.
Vinny puts his hands up.
"No! I didn't do anything!"
"You were the one who joked when he was dead!"
"Oh?! So I'm a murderer because of an ill-placed joke I made? I didn't know he was dead until I touched his shoulder!"
"Joking about his death was pretty suspicious, though... It seems like something a murderer would do."
"I-I'm nOT A MURDERER!" Vinny shouts, frustrated at the accusations.
"You know who says 'I'm not a murderer'? Murderers." Zahrah deadpans.
This made Vinny livid.
He knew he was innocent.
Why did they think that he was a murderer?
Was it because of his knife collection?
The knife collection was only for cooking purposes, not for murder (unless it was in self-defense).
Sure, it was a bit odd that he'd have a knife collection, but that didn't mean that he's some unstable murderer. In fact, he was pretty sane.
Normally, Vinny would withdraw himself to calm down so he could come back and coherently defend himself (whether he was in the right or not), but he was on a time limit, which prevented him from doing so.
So all he was left to do was to try to argue his cause as best as he can, but the other houseguests weren't hearing it.
"Why the hell aren't you listening?! I listened to you when you said those lies about me!"
"You're being suspicious, Vinny. Suspicious people get voted out of the house."
Vinny was about to go on a strongly worded diatribe, only to be cut off by the Announcer.
"Time's up! Does everybody have their votes ready?"
The houseguests, save for Vinny (who was still pretty mad), say yes.
"Let's tally the votes to see who y'all think is the murderer..."
Once the Announcer tallied the votes, he turns the intercom on.
"It is now time to see who the house believes is the murderer! Are you guys excited?"
"No..." Vinny deadpanned, knowing he is going to be the one eliminated.
"According to the results, the house believes that Vinny is the murderer."
"This conclusion is..." The announcer pauses, creating a moment of suspense for the houseguests.
"Incorrect! The murderer still remains on the loose."
"What?!" The houseguests (excluding Vinny and Chlorine) shout.
They were sure that Vinny was the murderer.
How could they have been incorrect?
"I KNEW IT! SHOULDN'T HAVE POINTED FINGERS!" Vinny shouts.
"Unfortunately... Vinny will be removed from the house and will not receive the one million Robux prize. For compensation, I will give him a thousand."
"Better than nothing..." Vinny mutters under his breath as he goes to his room to pack up his stuff.
After Vinny went out of the house, the houseguests went their own separate ways to do things.
The houseguests lost track of time and the lights went out. The houseguests scurry to their rooms again in a slight panic.
The murderer takes advantage of this time to plot their next attack...
Chapter 3: [Night 2 - Day 3: Bloody Hell!]
Summary:
Not wanting to end up like Dan, most of the houseguests go to their designated rooms. Unfortunately for the remaining houseguests, the murderer is lurking among them.
Notes:
Content warnings: Murder, Violence, Stabbing (not implied - Skip paragraph/Section 3 if you're uncomfortable)
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Not wanting to end up like Dan, the houseguests leave the living room, going to their own designated rooms, leaving the murderer, Colleen, Sabrina, and Annie to do basically anything in the living room.
The murderer looked at the other three houseguests.
Which one seemed like a better victim?
Sabrina seemed like the better victim since she was a bit too trusting of people.
When you trust people so much, it's easier for them to take advantage of you.
And when those people take advantage of you, they can be able to do anything from something as small as scamming, to something as serious as murder.
The murderer was sitting behind the couch, watching the other houseguests.
Besides Colleen, they were the only people outside of their rooms, the others either sleeping or didn't want to get caught outside when the lights turned off.
"Hey! Want me to drop you off to your room, Sabrina?" The murderer looks at Sabrina, flashing her a warm smile.
"You scared me! I didn't see you there."
"Sure, I guess..."
After a few minutes of walking, the murderer shoves Sabrina into the supply closet.
"What are you-" Sabrina asks before being cut off by the murderer.
"Shh! I think I heard the murderer. If you want to live, keep your voice down." The murderer whisper-yells to Sabrina.
After a few minutes, Sabrina whispers to the murderer.
"I think that they've left, let's get out!"
Just as Sabrina was about to get up, the murderer drags her back down.
"I think we should stay here. Wouldn't wanna end up like Dan, now would we?" The murderer says as they sit Sabrina down in front of them, trapping her by wrapping their arm and legs around her.
"L-let me g-" Sabrina says before feeling a sharp pain in her neck.
Naturally, she tries to fight off the murderer.
Sabrina grabs the doorknob to get out.
"Help! Help!" She shouts, trying to crawl out of the closet.
She made a good distance outside of the closet, only for her to get dragged back.
"Did you really think that the others are coming to help? Especially since they're afraid of ending up like Dan?"
"I bet that they're staying in their rooms, those cowards..." The murderer says as they look towards Sabrina.
Sabrina uses what little strength she has left to back away from the murderer (given the fact that she's lost quite a bit of blood).
Once her back hit the wall, she grips her throat, trying to stop the bleeding.
"Don't cry, Sabrina..." The murderer says, wiping Sabrina's tears away.
"The pain will end soon~!"
The psychic opens their phone again, looking at the list of the other houseguests' names.
"Hmm... I wonder what role Colleen has..." They say as they hover their finger over Colleen's name.
Once they tapped her name, they saw that she was a survivor.
"Well, I guess my job is done for tonight." The psychic says as they go to sleep.
Once morning came, the houseguests make their way to the living room.
"Good morning, my lovely houseguests! I hope you all had a good night's sleep-! Wait... One of you seems to be missing..."
"I think now would be a good time to find the missing houseguest."
The houseguests started looking for the missing houseguest.
"I f-found a b-blood trail!" Marley gasps, pointing at the short, but noticeable blood trail leading to the closet.
The houseguests follow the trail and opened the closet, seeing Sabrina's corpse.
"Oh my! Sabrina has died! She seems to have been stabbed to death. Unfortunately, she wasn't the sharpest tool in the toolbox..."
"Well, he isn't wrong..." Colleen says.
"Wait! I have news from our investigator as to who they believe is the murderer."
"They believe that Annie is the murderer, hopefully, she's good at defending herself! You all have ten minutes to discuss your votes." The Announcer says as he cuts off his intercom.
"Where were you yesterday night?!" Collen says, breaking up a muffin to feed Chlorine (he was given the muffin, but since he's a fish Colleen was breaking up the muffin.)
"I was in the living room, watching TV."
"Who else was with you?"
"Sabrina and Annie were also in the room with me."
The houseguests look at Annie.
"Wait! I can explain!"
"Please do..." Mason says, awaiting her answer.
"What Colleen said was true, but Sabrina and I never spoke to each other. I don't even think she knew I existed since she was too busy talking to Colleen."
"But, once the lights turned off, I ran straight to my room, I think I heard someone asking if she wanted them to take her to her room."
The houseguests look at Colleen.
"Now don't look at me like that, guys! I heard what Annie heard too."
"You were the only person besides Sabrina and Annie. How could you hear someone else's voice?"
"I'm being honest!"
"Mhm..." Veronica says, giving her a look of disapproval.
"This is why I hate you, Veronica! You're always looking for ways to make it seem like I'm the bad guy!"
"Actually, no. I always do that to Annie, not you."
"WHAT?!" Annie says.
"Why?! I have been nothing but nice to you, and you treat me like this?"
"You have no Robux. I look down on those without-"
"Hey hey hey! Let's get back on track, Ladies..." Lukey says.
"Lukey is right."
"I'm not lying, guys! Please don't make me end up like Vinny."
"Vinny is fine, Sabrina is not." Carlos mutters.
"Give us one reason why we shouldn't vote you out!" Marley says.
"I wouldn't murder anybody without a reason."
"Even if that reason was a million Robux?"
"No-!"
"Murderers don't have to have a reason to kill people!" Colleen says.
"Time's up! Everybody place your votes!"
After everyone placed their votes, the announcer counts them.
"It is now time to see who y'all think is the murderer."
"The house believes that Colleen is the murderer."
"This conclusion is..."
"Incorrect! The murderer still remains on the loose."
"You should've listened to me when I told you that I didn't even have anything to do with Sabrina's death!"
"Since Colleen will be eliminated from the house, I will give her fifteen hundred Robux to compensate."
Once Colleen left the house, the houseguests went off to do their own separate things.
The houseguests lost track of time until the lights turned off.
Of course, the murderer takes this time to plot their next attack, knowing that the houseguests will stay inside due to the fear of ending up like Sabrina or Dan.
Notes:
Since this story was created before the Good/Evil team update, I will either create another Flicker-related story, or I will make a side story with alternate endings (probably the latter). The storyline will still follow the classic version of Flicker.
Chapter 4: [Night 3 - Day 4: Cut It Open]
Summary:
The houseguests stay in their rooms, not wanting to end up like Dan and Sabrina. Unfortunately for them, the murderer does not care.
Notes:
Content warnings: Murder, Violence, Dismemberment (Implied/mentioned, but please be cautious), neck slicing (Not implied - Skip paragraph/section 2 if you're uncomfortable)
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
As usual, the houseguests lose track of time and went to their rooms.
They didn't want to end up like Dan and Sabrina, so they stayed in their rooms for a good chunk of the day (They did leave for food, bathroom, and other things, but they mainly stayed in their rooms).
This did make the murderer a bit annoyed since this would make their job a bit harder.
But since it was night, nobody could really see their intentions.
The murderer walked out of their room, deciding on who to murder.
They have to be pretty strategic, since messing up would most definitely be their downfall.
Once the murderer stopped walking, they looked at a door.
Everybody should be sleeping by now, and if they aren't, they'd be apprehended as quickly as possible.
The murderer opens the door quietly to see Annie sleeping.
Suddenly, the murderer gets an idea.
Maybe they can frame Veronica since she and Annie had argued with each other earlier...
Maybe they should make this quick. They know how much their victims like screaming to notify the others...
The murderer climbs on top of Annie, holding their box knife.
They place the knife on her neck, putting slight pressure on it, slicing through her neck.
Annie, of course, wakes up and tries to stop the bleeding.
Maybe the murderer should just wait for a few minutes until she bleeds out...
Once Annie died, the murderer wonders what they shall do with the body.
They can't just leave her there, they'd have to do something else.
Maybe chopping up the body and placing it in the sink?
The murderer drags the body off the bed and tries to chop one of Annie's arms off.
"Damn... The movies make stuff like this seem easy." The murderer huffs.
"Well, time to get the Bone saw!"
The psychic lied in their bed, being kept awake from the screams next door.
Who really knows if they're gonna get sleep...
Maybe they should play on their phone until they pass out.
As they were playing on their phone, the Announcer gives them the option to reveal one of the other houseguests' roles.
They wanted to see Alex's role, so they selected his name.
"Oh... He's the investigator. How nice!" The psychic says before going back to play games on their phone.
The next day, the houseguests come out.
"Good morning, houseguests! Oh heck... One houseguest seems to be missing. You know the drill."
The houseguests look around for the missing houseguest, quickly finding her chopped body on the dinner table.
"Oh no! It appears that Annie has died. She did look like a snack though..."
"Well... That sounded pretty bad coming out..." The announcer says, regretting his choice of words.
"Anyways! I have news from our investigator as to who they believe the murderer is."
"The investigator believes that the murderer is Jackson. Have fun, houseguests!" The announcer says as he cuts off the intercom.
"How can I kill someone? I haven't worked out recently!" Jackson pleads.
"There might be lazy ways to kill people, Jackson." Kai says.
"Y-you have to have at least some stamina to kill someone! Especially since the murderer chopped up Annie's body. Do you know how hard it is to do that?"
"That sounded pretty suspicious, Jack..." Marley says.
"Sorry if it came out the wrong way! I stayed up a bit too late reading medical books!"
"Mhm..." Charlie says.
"What about Chlorine? He's been outside his room when the murder happened."
Chlorine makes an offended gesture.
"Are you seriously blaming Chlorine for a murder? When he can't even leave his fish tank?" Charlie says, gesturing to Chlorine.
"I wouldn't be surprised if Chlorine died tomorrow..." Alex deadpanned, causing Chlorine to be fearful.
"D-Don't worry, Chlorine! Nothing's gonna happen to you." Alex comforts.
"What about Kai? They've been suspicious."
"HOW?!"
"You did mention how there are lazy ways to kill people. Elaborate on that."
"Some murder methods take more energy than others, just because I said something like that does not mean that I'm the murderer."
"What about the off-chance that you are the murderer?"
"Are y'all seriously going to vote me off because of an off chance? I'm innocent! My role says I am!"
"That sounded suspicious..." Marley says.
"Well, pardon me for-"
"Time's up! Everyone got their votes?"
Everybody (Yes, even Kai) said yes.
"Excuse me for a few minutes while I tally up the votes..."
Once the Announcer tallied up the votes, he turned on the intercom.
"I have tallied up the votes. The person with the most votes is..."
"..KAI!"
"Unfortunately, they weren't the murderer which means that the real murderer is still on the loose!"
"Since Kai is going to be eliminated, I will be giving them two thousand Robux to compensate."
Time ticks by as the houseguests stay outside of the living room until they fall asleep.
They figured that there was really no point since the murderer killed a few of them regardless of if they were inside or outside of their rooms.
An added bonus to this strategy is so that if gosh forbid the murderer came after one of them, they'd be able to catch the murderer.
Little did they know, the murderer planned in advance...
Notes:
The Announcer provides the murderer with anything that's necessary to carry out the murder, no matter how ridiculous it may seem.
Also, a fun fact is that this chapter was originally going to be called 'snack'.
Chapter 5: [Night 4 - Day 5: Cold Shoulder]
Summary:
The murderer gets a little creative with their murder method, then loses their creative spark because of time constraints.
Notes:
Content warnings: Murder, Violence, Implied bone-breaking & choking (skip paragraph 1 if you're uncomfortable), Implied drugging [Misuse of NyQuil].
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
The murderer smiled to themself as they looked at the other houseguests.
Now that they have laced the other houseguests' drinks with [the nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, aching, coughing, stuffy-head, fever, so you can rest medicine] Nyquil , they should be out for a good 4-8 hours, giving them enough time to carry out their plan.
But there was a problem; there were too many witnesses, so if one of the houseguests were to wake up, their cover would've been blown.
They hope that nobody wakes up until after they finished the murder.
The murderer grabbed the nearest person (which was Marley) and dragged her to the garage.
Plenty of sadistic thoughts were running through their head. They wanted to make this very painful. They wanted to hear the screams, but they couldn't do it, because there were too many witnesses and not enough time.
Maybe they should just choke her...
After they choked Marley, they looked at her, trying to find out what to do with the body.
Choking her wasn't easy, because she was fighting back, but they managed to pull through.
Maybe they should just use a quick and conspicuous way of disposal.
Light bulbs went off in the murderer's head as they surreptitiously fold and drag Marley's body to the kitchen.
The psychic woke up, seeing that a good chunk of the houseguests was still asleep.
Wait... Wasn't there another person?
'Maybe they went to the bathroom...' The psychic thinks to themself as they check their phone for the Announcer's messages.
It was that time of the night to reveal someone's role...
They selected Jackson's name and found out that he was a twin.
"That's pretty interesting..." The psychic says to themself before going back to sleep, clearly tired from waking up so early.
The other houseguests wake up to the sound of Alex's scream.
"Whhat happened, Aleex?" Lukey slurs, clearly tired from the Nyquil.
"Why is Marley folded on the fridge-?"
"Good morning, houseguests! I was going to wake y'all up earlier, but Alex woke everyone up with his manly scream."
Alex covers his face in embarrassment.
"What scared you, Alex?"
"M-Marley is folded on top of the fridge!"
"Oh! Someone check her pulse, then..."
Elaina walks over to Marley and checks her pulse.
"T-there's no pulse!" Elaina panics.
"Oh! It appears that Marley has died... She has been folded on the fridge like a pretzel. Too bad she ended up like Marley from Marley and Me..."
"But didn't Marley from Marley and me die from a stomach twist?"
"You're right..."
"Moving on... I have received results from our investigator as to who they believe is the murderer."
"They believe that Jackson is the murderer. Good luck!"
"W-wait guys, I'm not the murderer!" Jackson pleads, holding his hands up.
"But you said something suspicious!"
"What was this suspicious thing that I said?"
"You said that it was hard for the murderer to chop up Annie's body... What do you mean by that?"
"I-I meant that it was hard because of the bones inside! That's why surgeons use special tools to cut bones! You all should know that the human skeleton isn't easy to cut through!"
"But that was an oddly specific thing to say after Annie died." Alex states.
"Oh, so it's okay for the Announcer to call her a snack, but the second I say something medical; it's bad?!" Jackson argues, taking offense to what Alex said.
"Getting quite defensive there, are we~?" Charlie taunts.
"M-maybe we shouldn't be mean to him, what if he ends up killing you for saying that to him?" Elaina asks, looking at Charlie.
"All the more reason to vote him out! Who knows what tricks might be up his sleeve." Charlie answers.
"Maybe you're right..." Elaina hesitates.
"Time's up! Y'all have your votes ready?"
All the houseguests say yes.
"Okay, I will count the votes now."
After the Announcer counts the votes, he turns on the intercom to speak to the houseguests.
"So, is everyone ready for the results?"
The houseguests were silent because they were unsure if they're going to get voted out of the house. The Announcer ignores the houseguests' hesitance and continues to read off the results.
"The houseguest that is being eliminated is... Jackson!"
"This conclusion is..."
"False! The murderer still lurks among you all..."
"Unfortunately... His twin, Natalia, will also be eliminated from the house."
"I will be giving both houseguests twenty five hundred Robux to compensate."
After the twins left the house, the houseguests went their own separate ways to do their own things, until the lights flickered out.
The houseguests go to their own rooms, leaving the murderer to plan in their own room.
Things might be a bit more complicated...
Notes:
I know Nyquil ain't supposed to be used the way it's used in the fanfiction, but since I have an artistic license in toxicology, we're just gonna ignore the more adverse side effects (please use the correct dose of NyQuil).
Chapter 6: [Night 5 - Day 6: Eternal Rest]
Summary:
It is down to the last eleven houseguests. While the murderer figures out ways they could fly under the radar, they commit yet another murder.

Chapter Text
After the murderer planned their attack, they quietly went out of their room.
It was down to 11 houseguests, which means that their murder spree was coming to an end.
It wasn't a matter of if, but when, so as long as they stay under the radar for a while longer, they should be able to eliminate the other houseguests...
They quickly went into the nearest room and looked at the sleeping houseguest.
This should be quick and easy, as long as he doesn't fight back...
The murderer grabbed a pillow and placed it over Carlos' face.
Of course, Carlos tries fighting back, but the murderer wouldn't let up.
Maybe they should give it a few minutes, losing oxygen can make a person weak...
The psychic was kept awake from the fighting next door.
Maybe they should ignore it...
They didn't feel right about their fellow houseguests being murdered, some in violent ways, but the Announcer told them that only the medic can help prevent murders from happening.
Some days, they wish that they were a medic instead of being a psychic.
The psychic's phone ringed, telling them that it was that time of night to reveal someone's role.
The psychic's finger hovered over Charlie's name, wanting to figure out his role.
He's been pretty silent, which raises some suspicions as to what his role was.
He was the murderer.
"What?!" The psychic says, quietly.
Should they tell the investigator?
Maybe they should...
"Good morning, houseguests! I hope that you had a good breakfast, and- Wait... Someone's missing..."
The houseguests look for the missing houseguest, only to find him in his room.
"Oh. Carlos seems to be sleeping in..."
"I don't think Carlos is sleeping in..." Elaina says.
"What makes you say that?"
"His skin has a bluish tint to it." They respond.
"It's hard to see because these cameras are a bit outdated..."
"...Unfortunately, Carlos has been killed in his sleep. He shouldn't have to worry about doing anything tomorrow since he will have eternal rest."
"May he rest in peace..."
"...Anyway, I have news from the investigator as to who they believe is the murderer."
"The investigator believes that Charlie is the murderer. Have fun voting among yourselves!" The Announcer says as he cuts off his megaphone.
Charlie starts to get nervous.
He knows that if he doesn't play his cards right, he will get eliminated from the house.
"What evidence do you have against me?" Charlie asks, leaning back into the couch, feigning innocence.
"You've been awfully quiet the past few nights, what are you hiding, Charlie?" Elaina asks, looking at Charlie.
"I've got nothing to hide, Elaina. I can tell you right now that I was in my room for these past few nights." Charlie counters, leaning his head into one of his hands.
"What about the nights that we've slept in the living room?" Elaina questions.
"I was there too, didn't you see me?"
Elaina stopped in their tracks.
Charlie was there during the times that they've been in the living room.
But they were sure that Charlie was a bit suspicious because he hasn't really talked to any of the other houseguests, as well as the fact that he gave everyone [opened] grape soda.
They thought that the taste of the soda was strange, but they drank the entire cup not thinking much about it. Everything was a blur, and they (and possibly the other houseguests) fell asleep rather fast...
Elaina was snapped out of their thoughts by Charlie speaking up again.
"Why are you quick to accuse me, Elaina? Could it be that you're also hiding something?" Charlie argues, smiling at Elaina.
"No! I don't have anything to hide."
"You seem rather quick to reject those claims... Seems to me that you're hiding something."
"Do I look like the type of person to hide something as suspicious as murder?"
"All of us have the ability to hide our darkest secrets, Elaina."
"Some of us are better at hiding it than others-"
"What did you put in the drinks last night?"
"Uhh... Grape soda?"
"It tasted funny!"
"Here you are again, throwing accusations. If you must know, the soda was room-temperature."
"It was cold."
"Why does it matt-"
"Time's up! Do we all have our votes?"
The houseguests say yes.
"Okay! Give me a moment while I count the votes~!"
After the Announcer counted the votes, he turns on the intercom to speak to the houseguests.
"Okay, I have counted up the votes!"
"The houseguest that's being eliminated is... Elaina!"
"Unfortunately, they weren't the murderer, so I'll give them three thousand robux to compensate."
"say bye bye to your medic, noobs." Elaina says as they pack their bags to leave.
After Elaina left the house, the houseguests went their own separate ways to do whatever they want to do.
Charlie however, was laying on the couch, planning his next attack.
He knows that his time is pretty limited and that the other houseguests were a bit suspicious of him, so he should continue playing the innocent role he gave himself until he either gets eliminated, or gets voted out.
He prefers the former, because he really wanted that row bux.

Chapter Text
Charlie knew that he was going to get eliminated soon.
He didn't know when, but he knew that the houseguests would eventually catch on to his ruse and vote him out.
Maybe he should just go for broke for the next few rounds. Even if he gets eliminated, at least he's going out with a bang.
But who would be the perfect victim? It was entertaining to eliminate some of the other houseguests, but he was getting a bit tired of that.
He wanted someone who could give him the chase...
...Someone who could fight him instead of slowing down due to blood loss or injury.
But who would be perfect for that?
Charlie looked at Austin, watching as he made muffins.
Everybody knew that Austin was the muffin man.
Austin didn't even tell anybody his role, but some of the other houseguests found out by seeing him baking in the kitchen.
After that, word got around that Austin was the muffin man.
Charlie was suspicious of these accusations until he saw Austin baking a few days ago.
Who would've thought that someone as hard-boiled as him would be good at making muffins?
Suddenly, Charlie got an idea.
Since Charlie was feeling sadistic today, he decided that taking out the muffin man would not only satiate his bloodthirst but also taking away the happiness of the other houseguests. It would be like killing two birds with one stone!
Charlie walked into the kitchen, seeing Austin making muffins yet again.
"What're you doing here, Charlie?"
"I'm just here to make sure that the murderer doesn't try to kill you. You know you really shouldn't be alone, especially since you're distracted by your baking..."
"I-I can handle myself!" Austin snaps, turning back to his cooking.
Is he sure about that?
"Hey, if you're not too tired, maybe I can show you a way to avoid the murderer?"
Austin was skeptical (and rightfully so), but he begrudgingly accepted Charlie's offer.
The two made their way out of the murder house, the crisp air hitting their faces.
"Are you sure that this isn't breaking the rules, Char?" Austin asks as he walks through the forest with Charlie.
"Yes, the Announcer told me that it was fine, as long as both of us come back."
Charlie was lying, but he wasn't wrong. He could leave the house to dispose of the bodies, Austin, however, could not. Of course, there were exceptions, such as Charlie carrying out a murder attempt.
Charlie noticed that Austin was hesitant, standing in the doorway, contemplating on if he should go with Charlie or stay inside.
"He won't even notice that we're gone, loosen up a bit!"
"Listen, If you want to go inside, that's fine, but this way will make it harder for the murderer to kill us both. I've done it several times, and look at where I am now." Charlie says as he opens his arms to show Austin that he was still alive.
Charlie's suggestion persuades Austin to come with Charlie because he seemed to have good intentions...
...Or did he...?
After a few minutes of walking in the forest, they come across a lake.
"Hey, let's rest here for a few minutes before we come back to the house." Charlie suggests, sitting down in front of the lake.
"While we're here... Do you wanna go out for a quick swim?" Charlie offers as he removes his jacket to get in the water.
"I-I can't swim, and even if I did, I don't have any swimwear..." Austin says, looking down at Charlie.
Charlie rests his head on the side of the lake, smiling at Austin.
"I can teach you to swim, and you don't have to wear a swimsuit to swim. The only thing is, regular clothes might weigh us down. Other than that, a quick swim in a T-shirt and pants wouldn't harm us."
"If you're still hesitant, that's fine. I won't force you to do anything you don't want to do."
Somehow, Charlie convinced Austin to join him in the lake.
"And you should start kicking now!" Charlie instructs as he walks backward, holding Austin's hands.
Alex thought he saw something a bit off in Charlie's smile.
Something seemed off, but he shook it off as the moonlight playing tricks on him.
That didn't ease Austin's gut feeling, though.
"You're doing so well, Austin!" Charlie praises as he lets go of Austin's hands.
"Now, we will swim back, but I won't be holding your hands. Don't worry, though! I'll be close by just in case something goes awry."
As the two were swimming back, Austin felt something wrap around his waist.
"C-Charlie? What-!"
Austin's head was forced underwater.
Maybe he should've listened to his gut feeling...
But that was in the past.
He was being drowned for goodness' sake!
So, Austin fought Charlie back and swam back to the end of the lake, before running off into the forest.
"Good job, Austin! You learned pretty fast!" Charlie taunts as he swims back to chase after Austin.
Austin wanted to snap back at Charlie, but he knew better than to let Charlie find out where he was.
Austin ran through the forest, not caring about the branches and thorns pricking at his skin.
Should he check to see if Charlie was running behind him?
The man glanced behind him to see that Charlie was running behind him.
Maybe he should just run faster...
Why was Charlie so fricking fast?
Whatever. Maybe Austin should think of a plan since running for a long time wasn't a feasible option.
This was it!
This was the chase that he's been waiting for!
Charlie was so glad that he chose Austin as a victim.
But, even he knows this chase would end, considering that Austin doesn't seem to have that much stamina to spare.
Speaking of endings, Austin seems to have been slowing down as the minutes pass.
Charlie walks up to Austin, taking advantage of the other male's exhaustion.
He couldn't help but smile at the way Austin scrambled away from him as if there was an escape.
'How cute...' Charlie thinks to himself as he grabs Austin to take him to a shed.
What torture methods should he use?
"Just give up, Austin! It's not like you have much left in you." Charlie says as he ties Austin up.
Once Charlie finished, he starts to torture Austin.
"Come on, Austin, I'm sure you have a few more screams left in you..." Charlie teases as he digs into the wound.
Austin was too tired...
He couldn't fight back.
He couldn't scream.
He couldn't cry any more.
He just felt numb.
Disappointed, Charlie gets off of him.
"Fine! Since you don't want to scream anymore, I guess I'll have to do something else..." He says as he grabs some rope.
"What's... that..?" Austin asks, staring blankly at Charlie as he ties something around his legs.
"I'm..."
"Gwoing to Hwang you by your widdle toesies!"
"Oh... No..." Austin deadpanned as Charlie drags him.
Austin didn't want to die, but after Charlie did the cursed OWO voice, he decided to embrace his death.
After the murder, Charlie decided to go back to the murder house and go to sleep.
The next morning, the Announcer summoned the houseguests to the living room.
"Good morning, my lovely houseguests! Who's ready to play a game?"
"What's the game?" Ally asks.
"The game is called; 'Find the missing houseguest'!"
"That doesn't seem like a fun game..." Alex replies.
"Find the houseguest anyway."
The houseguests find Austin's [somewhat mutilated] body hanging in the window.
"Y-you okay, Lukey?"
"No..." Lukey says as they down in a corner, bringing a bucket close to themself.
"Oh no! It appears that Austin has been hung by his toes. Guess he didn't hang in there~!"
Charlie starts giggling.
"What's funny, Charlie?" Alex asks, looking at Charlie suspiciously.
"The joke! The joke was funny!" Charlie giggles, before regaining his composure.
"Are you done joking around, Charlie?"
Charlie nods.
"Good, because I just got news from the investigator regarding who they believe is the murderer."
"They believe that Charlie's the murderer. Have fun voting amongst yourselves!"
The houseguests look at Charlie.
He knew that he would probably get eliminated, but he'd be damned if the didn't fight to the end.
"What do you have against me?"
"You laughed when we stumbled upon Austin's body!" Alex counters.
"I laugh when I'm n-nervous!" Charlie laughs, to throw the other houseguests off.
"Why was Austin outside?"
"He wanted to go out for a nice walk in the woods."
"How do you know?" Zahrah asks.
"He wanted me to go with him, but I declined his offer. Where do you plan on going with this?"
"You knew about him going outside, why is he dead?" Zahrah counters, catching Charlie off guard.
"B-because he's stupid for going outside when he knows that a murderer is on the loose. Call me harsh, but it's the truth."
"Did you even go outside with him at all?"
"Yes, I did, but it wasn't for anything bad. I just wanted to make sure he got back safely."
"He died. Is that your idea of safety?"
"I lost him. When I found him, he was dead."
"What were you doing when you lost him?" Veronica questions.
"Looking for him? Why does that matter?"
"Because he's dead, and you were outside with him!"
"Maybe he ran into someone or something?"
"Maybe that someone was you!" Mason counters, pointing an accusing finger at Charlie.
"How?"
"Was there a third person with the two of you?" Mason inquires.
"No. Just me and-"
"It was you!"
"I plead innocence."
"Austin didn't hang himself by his toes. Someone else must've done it, and you were the only person with him."
"How could I have possibly found the time to hang him if I lost him?"
"You found the time, alright..." Alex mutters.
"Why is everyone ganging up on me?!"
"Playing the victim makes things worse, Charlie."
"Now I can see why Vinny was mad..." Charlie huffs crossing his arms.
"I did not commit the murder."
"Yes, you did!"
"No!"
"Stop lying, Charlie."
"I'm not lying! It was just an unfortunate coincidence!" Charlie argues, getting frustrated at the accusations.
"Time's up! Does everyone have their votes ready?"
After the Announcer counted the votes, he turns on his speaker.
"Okay! Are y'all ready for the results?" He asks.
"Yes."
"No."
"Too bad, Charlie, I'm reading the results anyway."
"The house believes that Charlie is the murderer."
"The answer is..."
"Correct! Charlie was the murderer!"
"Congratulations, survivors, you have won the game of Flicker! All of you will be getting a million Robux. Charlie, however, will get five hundred thousand, since he was caught."
"All of you can either stay in the house or leave."
"Have a nice day!" The Announcer says before he cuts off his speaker to watch as the Houseguests talk amongst themselves.
This game was pretty fun to watch.
Maybe he should do more games like this in the future...
