A power outage was not always a cause for concern. They usually didn’t last that long, and the humagears usually had enough power to stay awake through the event.
Usually.
But today, Horobi found himself low on power as he hasn’t charged for long enough the night before, and the power had been out for the entire day. He was still able to see his teammates’ glowing ears in the darkness, but as the sun set he was tired from staying on all day without properly charging.
"Here," Jin’s voice said and Horobi felt himself lying down. "Is he compatible with the portable charger?"
"He should be, since we all use the same charging cord…" Naki said.
Horobi felt himself get plugged into the portable charger. It was an odd feeling as Horobi didn’t usually use it. The portable charger was mainly for Naki when they went to work, and he hated taking energy that was meant for them.
But Naki had about 25% left, and was on their low power setting. They would be fine for the rest of the blackout.
Horobi hoped that the power would be back when he woke up again.
