day & light's eyes

Summary:

Percy was reminding himself how falling in love with humans was not what he did like his siblings or like other deities that fell for mortals hard and fast, but looking at the stormy grey eyes and princess blond hair of this girl laughing at him , for the first time Percy couldn't remember why that rule even was .

*

Or aka Perseus is the smallest child of Rhea and Kronos, who was not even in many myths as he chose to be a very not used kind of an Olympian with that much of a power and he had sworn not to mendle with love with mortals, until he met the daughter of wisdom that stripped all Perseus's prejudices bare.

Notes:

So in this story, Hera and Percy gets along very well, dont be surprised at that. But in a platonic way. And Thalia did not join the hunt in this reality. Percy is not only the Lord of Heroes, but also other things that will be revealed later. And they are all at the appropiate age, post collage. You May wonder why the romanian characters are there right after the titan War, the giant War happened as well but in a different way. A bit integrated with the titan war. /Enjoy!

Chapter Text

It was spring. The flowers and the sun and the vivid rivers were coming alive. It meant for Hades however, that Persephone was gone to Earth.

Contrary to Demeter's thoughts, Hades loved her. Persephone was the first person he had fallen in love and stayed until he met... Till Maria. She was apart from his wife the only woman that really made him fall for her over the heels in love. At this times, her memory came to him like a eye tearing wind. Knocking out the wind in Hades' arms. Leaving him to long after her love.

At least he had her kids. The Titan War was over , and both of his kids had done things excessively succesfull. If she saw that now, she would be so proud. That eased Hades' ache.

"Oh mighty Lord, forgive me..." A furia, Alecto, came hissing there, making Hades frown. Only then realised the raising voices at the other Side.

"What is it?" He asked. Alecta looked scared.

"You see, uh, there is a minor deity that wants to, demands, to see you. And he insists." Alecta said and Hades frowned.

"What? Does he know whose palace this is? And what do you mean demanding?" If there was something Hades did not tolarete, it was empty hubris. Alecta bowed more.

"We told him, my Lord but he is insisting. Just demanding to see you, that little annoyance. And since he is in fact a deity, we can't send him without you." Alecta said. With furrowed eyebrows, he raised and walked outside with the dark cape and the helmet, and intimidating orbs.

"Who in Tartarus would dare to me in such kind of an act..." Said Hades while walking to the Doors with fire in those dark orbs and startled as he saw who the guy was.

There was a black haired man with vibrant green stormy eyes, with golden parts shining in the orbs. The clothes he had on was a human fit with blue jeans and a yellow punk jacket. Leaning on the wall, he had a bored face and was smirking coyly.

"Here it is, Lord Hades. We can't get him to leave! Please destroy this minority!"

"Yes, do it, my Lord!" Alecta cheered with his sister.

"Feed him to the Styks!" The other fury said. The guy with the green eyes and in the punk jacket rolled his eyes at them.

"Come on guys, have better ideas for my punishment." he said. All the furia hissed.

The Lord of the Underworld got over his shock, and just sighed. Exasperatedly.

"What in the worlds are you doing here, Percy?" The furia looked at their lord with wide eyes.

"Uh, do you know this creature without manners, milord?" One of the furies screeched.

"Did none of you recognize who this is? Really, minor deity? This is my brother!" Hades roared, which caused all the furies' eyes go wide. They scrambled around with panic.

"Hey, it's not their fault, Hades, I don't even get recalled by the nymphs and newbies on Olympus anymore." Percy said whilst coming toward him from the doorway with a playful smirk. Hades scoffed.

"Just go and bring us something to eat. You, I'll deal with you." Hades threw a finger at Percy with darkened eyes, as the furies scattered hastily, still shocked by Percy's identity, but Percy just kept throwing that troublemaker smirk.

"Where have you been, Percy? I was genuinely starting to think you found your route to Tartarus or something. Do you know when was..." Hades said frustratedly.

"Oh, does that mean you worried for me? Your little brother? I am touched, Hades."

"Just get back to wherever you were, you little..." He walked away, with a raised eyebrow but Percy ran after him.

"Come on, you gotta have missed your favorite sibling like crazy." Percy groaned, and Hades' eyes softened.

"Favorite, huh? How are you so sure of yourself, after showing up just like that like you own the place all of a sudden?" Percy shrugged.

"I came to see you first." Then Hades sighed, dark black eyes showing a happy light that he hid well. He had genuinely missed Percy. He looked at him from head to toes.

"I see you took a liking to new mortal clothes and style. Where have you been to, at Earth?" Percy started to follow him to the throne room with a shrug.

"On and there. I've helped a few heroes on the Titan War, then settled for a bit. Then I suddenly had the urge to come and see the dearest brother I got. Which, from the catalogue, a pretty comfortable selection." Percy said, and Hades scoffed.

"I get you have an ongoing animosity with Zeus since I don't even remember but what is your issue with Poseidon?" Hades said and Percy looked over him with a raised eyebrow.

"Not an Issue,but, you know..."

"Okay, I know. So, Percy, now you made your grand entrance, tell me, what brings you here? Did you hit your head somewhere and decided you took a liking to the chaotic family of yours?" Percy smiled while sitting across his brother on the guest Chambers.

"I wondered how my family is doing. Is it not a good reason?" Percy said .

"Okay, I know you have some vile thing in your mind but I'll take your answer for it. Are you planning to go Olympus?"

"After here? Yeah. I want to see how much it changed after the War."

"A lot, actually. Where were you at the Titan War?"

"I know where you were. Your kids convinced you to go fight to our father. And you did a pretty good job."

With a Side look, Hades looked at Percy's demaenour.

"So you were there. Helping the half bloods?" He asked.

"That's kinda what the Lord of Heroes is supposed to do, right?"

"You are not only the lord of Heroes. " Percy sighed.

"I like being lord of Heroes."  With that, Hades looked at Percy's eyes.

"Thanks for looking out for Bianca and Nico."

"They are good kids. Really good. I know that I suggested you put the kids in Lotus but I did not think of another way to hide the kids. They turned out to be okay, though."

"They did." Even though it felt like there were too many things to be talked with Percy, to catch up, going to Olympus was more important.

"Come on, I will also come to Olympus with you. About time I see how it fares as well." Said Hades. Percy raised an eyebrow.

"Great. Just a second, I need to make an Iris call..."

Hera loved watching the beautiful sunrise from the grand balcony of her palace while eating nectar flavoured ancient cake.

The colored Olympus sky with all the nymphs and trees and grass waking up with muses singing lovely notes that made Hera sigh and remember the simpler times. Siblings, Happy and having just defeated Kronos, their evil father, building a place of Olympus with the enthusiastic drive they had in their conceptive youth, without Zeus cheating on her with every being he saw. The times Demeter and Hestia and her sat on the flower garden and laughed and talked and had picnics. Times when Hades used to dine with her and they had some nice talks. Times when they enjoyed having fun at Poseidon's sea. And when Percy used to bring to her this nectar cakes and they drank nectar tea whilst watching sunrise from her palace.

Even though Zeus and Percy did not really like each other for a reason she did not really know, Percy and her was so close once. Percy was her favorite, by far, the one that understood her most. Hera missed him a lot, sometimes. And those days where she was young in age.

Her husband was seen by yet another mortal girl in the woods that day. Zeus had resumed his acts with mortals after the War. Hera did not think she wouldnt even be fazed by this, but she was not fazed.

“Hi, my lady.” A soft voice came to her Ears and Hera starled, looking at her right. Could it be…

“Or do you prefer my Queen?” Percy said, with a playful grin, black touseled hair falling on his eyes, that stormy green eyes. And there in an Iris message was looking at her like Hera saw him that afternoon.

“Percy? Is it really…”

Percy, with that stormy green eyes and tan skin and black touseled hair with an annoying Side grin winked at her from the Iris rainbow.

“It’s great to see you too.”

Hera was so shocked that she could actually punch Someone.

“To see you… You call first time in I dont even know anymore and that’s your first sentence out of your mouth?” Hera said.

“Okay, alright, you’re right about that. But I was busy. Which I promise I will explain when I come there. Now. Well, in a bit.” Percy raised his hands in the Air.

“Now? You are coming here?” She asked.

“I dropped by Hades for a while, we will come there together if you dont mind, Lady Hera.” Percy smirked.

“I..”

“Ok,bye, see you soon.” Percy said and waved the rainbow.

She waited for one second before she gave an order to forest nymphs to prepare a feast for Percy and her face lighted up with a smile.

Annabeth sometimes wondered how things would turn out if she had chosen not to erase everybody’s memories of her, and left her half blood persona behind.

She did not miss the occasional attacks. But she missed Her friends. All her friends, Thalia, especially her. Even fucking Luke. Though she equally despised Luke for his choices. Thalia, though, was the reason that she was living the way she was now in the first place.

She wondered how she was doing now. Annabeth had Heard from somewhere that she had a Roman girlfriend called Reyna, and she was crashing at New Rome and Camp. Annabeth hoped she was Happy after the War.

Thalia had been the one that killed Luke with her sword, at her 19 of age. To Annabeth, Thalia also should have been called Hero of Olympus, but it was just the girl who was declared as Real hero that had carried the curse of Achilles to beat Kronos. The one that the prophecy was about.

Hero of Olympus.Bianca Di Angelo.

She had a brother, Nico. Both siblings were saved from Lotus and brought to Camp Half Blood by Grover and Thalia and her, which had created people thinking Thalia would not be the one that would have to make that choice and be the hero, and as a Group it went as they tried to take Atlas down with the hunters. It was nearly the cost of all of the civilization right until… Until Annabeth made that choice.

With that, load of memories rushing to her, she shrugged and continued her architecture project. She was a famous architect, at the end. And it kinda made this memory erase worth it.

Kind of.

The second Zeus stepped into the garden, all the whispers coming out of the crowd hit the wind.

“What is going on here?” He asked, as one of the nymphs flied there.

“Did you hear, my lord? Lord Perseus is here, on Olympus.” She said.

“What?” He hissed, blown away at hearing the name so sudden and at once like that.

“Yes, our mistress wanted us to prepare a welcome festivy, appearently he is coming here with Lord Hades after visiting there.” The nymph said with enthusiastic hand movements and ran to the tree.

Right before Zeus was about to throw a lightning storm between the garden with all the emotional turmoil, a strong hand patted his shoulder.

“Brother! I assume you Heard the news. Percy’s coming.” Poseidon, with that playful eyes and the Hawaian beach shirt appeared, smirking coyly, with a drink of nectar. He shot him a glare. Somehow, even Poseidon looked like great Company at hearing Percy was here.

“What is he possibly doing here now? What ploys does he have in the mind, I wonder. That little twig.” He said, and Poseidon let out a sigh.

“It has been the Hellenian age that came and went and you still go nuts  at the mention of our brother’s name. What is even your Issue with Percy? He is literally the nicest of us, we got along well.” He said, downing the nectar drink. Zeus sighed.

“You got along with the Titans even at that time. Perseus always had it easy and handed to his hand cherished by mother’s warm hugs while I was grown alone at Ida, fighting with Kronos and saving all of you myself. He never even showed any Appreciation for that to me. And on top of it he tried to convince Hera against our marriage from the first moment. Why would I even like that snobbish boy?” Zeus spat, leaving Poseidon blinking in confusion.

“Wow. You really had it all out with him, huh brother? Even I feel more loved by you now. Just be kind. Hera gets along pretty good with Percy, so do I, you would not like to get on Her Side.” Poseidon laughed and turned to the Party, speaking with a few Minor entities.

Like that was ever a question. If only Percy also acted equally kind. Zeus’ thoughts drifted off as he also started to get consumed by the soft melodies coming out of nymphs and Apollo’s intruments.

“Is everything ready?”

“Yes, my Lady. We prepared the feast. Just waiting for Lord Perseus to come.” The nymph said and Hera nodded approvingly.

“Good. I want everything to be good. Just let me know when Perseus comes.”

“Well, you won’t have to wait for that.” A voice chimmed in and Hera froze, turning to look at the door, finding an amused Percy looking at her at her door.

Hera stood there with a stoic face till Percy broke off into a grin and opened his arms.

And Hera’s face turned into a smile as she walked with fast steps there to hug him and Percy wrapped his arms around her, holding her fiercely.

“Where in heavens were you?” Hera said.

“Earth, mostly. Didnt realise what time it was. Sorry about that. You know still time is hard to control. I take it as you are Happy to see your little brother?” Percy said.

“Of course Percy. Even though I nearly forgot what his face looked like.” Percy smiled guiltily but playfully at the jab. And unwrapped his arms.

“Come on, I have many things to ask. How are you doing?”

Both sat at the chairs behind Hera’s palace fences.

“Well, you know. Classic. I Heard you were coming with Hades here.”

“I dropped by there first, yeah. And he is coming. But you are not answering. How are you?”

“I told you, it’s like normal and..”

Hera.” Percy said.

Hera raised her colorful eyes to look at Percy and felt like his eyes were geniunely carrying concern.

She had forgotten the way he really cared about her.

“What do you think? Zeus has his mistresses again. He does run from me. And …”

Hera sighed.

“And you know.” she whispered.

Percy’s stormy eyes softened. A tender hand was put on Hera’s.

“If you start to say I told you so…” Percy laughed.

“I was just going to comfort and support my favorite sister. And Queen. And I will not in fact mention the fact that I told you so.” Hera lightly hit his arm and Percy laughed. Hera laughed as well Seeing that impression.

Percy was the one person who always saw behind her walls. She used to hide the world in her feelings and when Percy looked through, could see all. Percy loved her like a true brother. She had always adored the way he was so loyal, and did not get involved with any kind of mortal. It was Percy’s strict rule. Sure, had a few on relations with some nymphs,a few deities but not any mortal. For the sake that he did not want to be having a dozen kids and leave them off to Camp to not see them again.

And also he thought that it was dangerous to love someone and have a child because of the nature of his powers.

“So, not anybody special these days?” She said, causing Percy to scoff.

“Same old love life, sister.”

“I Heard that you May have something going on with a certain Calypso..”

“Calypso? Oh, Heavens , no not Calypso, I just say hello to her on Ogygia once in a while, we are friends… Ok maybe once or twice something May have happened but it was all for fun. Besides, she gets those heroes on the boat coming on the shore all the time so…”

“Alright, that’s understandable. How about all the Heroes you are protecting?”

Percy tensed for a moment, as he sipped more nectar from the cup of ambroisa Hera’s nymphs put.

That was where the tension between Hera and Percy was, if there had to. Where Hera felt insulted by the very definition of half bloods and Heroes, Percy’s mission was so guide the half bloods and protect. Even if they were Zeus’ offsprings.

And Hera did not like that.

“Look, Hera, that is what I represent. I have to protect all Heroes. Even though it is Zeus’ kids. You know that.”

“I do. I just want to know. Did you protect The girl on Titan War? Was that why you were not with us with Typhoon there that day?”

“If you are talking about Thalia, I have. I’ve guided her, sheltered her, I did not shelter her after she turned into a tree by Zeus and only slightly after they beat Atlas, I came and continued to do so. And you know, she was very crucial to the War. Who else could beat father if not all the heroes? That includes the kid of Hades too.”

Hera looked at Percy’s calculated eyes. And continued to drink her ambroisa with calculated looks as well.

“You could.” Hera said. Percy averted that gaze.

“You know why I could not face Kronos. You know.”

Hera looked straight into his eyes.

“Yeah. Bianca Di Angelo is a good hero. I may not like a lot of Heroes, and I liked her. She also won the affections of mine by joining the hunt. Good decision. Did you guide her to do that?”

“It was all her decision not mine. She knew what she wanted.”

She let out a humming note from her lips.

“You know , I set up a welcome to Olympus festive for you alone. We should just go there and get some fun. Just leave the bad things to rot away from us ,and enjoy the fact you came to visit.”

Percy smiled, taking Hera’s arm into his and let her whisk them to the festive. Was almost sure that Hera’s Dear husband would have a delight with this.

Annabeth knew the bar was not usually used to study. But she both was observing a potential creature that could attack New Rome and also had to do her California Coast building drawings, so sue her.

“Do you want more gin?”

Annabeth looked up to the nice bartander that asked that and nodded.

“Yes, would be great. Listen, did you see any anormal guy in here today?”

“Well, most of our Customers are New, if thats what you mean.” The bartender said.

Annabeth nodded and looked around in care while drinking another shot.

“Okay, we’ll see that.”

Ever since her Agreement with her mother and the fates her scent to the monsters smelled normal. So she did not have any monsters on her door but she lived very close to Camp Jupiter. So she still observed secretly any monster activity, to help her friends. Just because she was technically erased from her friends’ minds did not mean she could not protect them any way.

On distance, she saw an interesting Group of friends sitting at a table, drinking. Her eyes widened as she realised the people in there.

“Oh, come on dude! I would go nuts for that delicious enchiladas!” A voice let out a whine as the other half bloods started to snicker. Grover.

Annabeth’s eyes burned. Grover was one of her best friends and now Seeing that with other friends he had hurt her.

“Dude, you literally eat furniture. What is your thing with that enchilada?” A blond guy, Jason as Annabeth realised, chimed in. There was two boys with them, one was big with defining Asian features and the latter a wild haired, dark skinned Latino. Frank and Leo. She had followed up these people secretly, only from pictures. Now they were there in front of her.

She did not realise the last person there. There he was, smiling and laughing along with his friends but the aura he carried felt so much striking. He had dark tousled hair, a lean body, a sculptered face and was wearing dark clothes, kind of Thalia’s style. When the guy raised his head, Annabeth was eye to eye all of a sudden with his stormy green eyes.

It felt like lightning striked her as she looked at those eyes. It was like a green tornado. She felt as every single chaos in her , even the ones she longed for came pressing while looking at those eyes. Right where she wanted. And for some reason, Annabeth knew it was what he was feeling too. That red lips opened, while looking at her.

At that moment, Annabeth saw a shining eyed, with a scarf wrapped, dressed with a hat guy walking to the bathrooms. She panicked. It was definetly a monster. If Annabeth could get to him, sneak up and get him done, her friends would be sade there. Grover would be.

She walked towards the bathroom with discreetly taking her knife out on her sleeve. There was luckily no one in the bathroom and she wore her Yankees cap, turning invisible in the toilet. The creature was in one stall. She took a deep breath, getting ready to surge forward to attack the monster, observing when a strong hand grabbed Annabeth’s wrist and she gasped silently in surprise, looking there.

And she found the striking green eyes looking directly into Her greys.
