Chapter Text
Finney Blake was many things. Finney Blake was resilient. Finney Blake was strong. Maybe not strong in the ways Pinball Vance Hopper and Robin Arellano are, but nevertheless Finney Blake was strong.
Finney Blake was many more to others. Finney Blake was a son. He was a brother. He was a freak. He was obsessed with space. He was pathetic. He was practically the school's laughingstock.
Among all these, Finney Blake is one stubborn bitch. Maybe he didn't throw punches but he could take them better than anyone and he always got back up after. No one could take Finney Blake down. Not his bullies, not his father, not even himself. So you better fucking believe this old mother fucker couldn't keep him down either.
There is a world in which Finney Blake was the last to be kidnapped by the so-called Grabber. He was even the one to end the Grabber. This is not that world. This is a world where a man named Albert Shaw kidnapped Finney Blake before any of the others.
Finney was kidnapped on his way to school. A man dropped his groceries while getting out of his car. "Hey, uhm..Need some help with that?" He asked, adjusting his bag to prevent it from falling when he bent over to help the man. "Oh, would you look at that?" The man asked, scooping the cracked eggs off the ground."Could you hand me my hat, boy?" Finney, being the good kid he is, picked up the man's hat before handing it back."I am a part time magician!" The man explained while slowly standing back up. "Would you like to see a magic trick?" He asked, a hint of something darker in his voice. A hint that Finney looks back at and wishes he caught it."Yeah, sure." Finney laughed, slightly concerned over how quickly the man moved on from his spoiled groceries. Looking around awkwardly while the man prepared his trick, something caught Finney's eye."Are those black balloons in there?" He asked, stepping closer to the back windows of the van to see more clearly."Yyup." The man replied, smiling sinisterly as he started to open the doors to the fan for Finney to see. It was over as quickly as it happened. The man Finney came to know as the Grabber gassed Finney while using the black balloons as coverage. He didn't get away clean from this. While yes, he successfully knocked Finney out and threw him in his fan, Finney fucked his arm up. Finney used his lucky rocket pen to cut as deep as possible from a few inches below the Grabber's wrist, ending before his elbow.
Finney Blake is stubborn. He didn't go down without getting his own hit in. This man was different from his bullies, different from his father. This was life or death, of course he'd fight back. The Grabber was plain stupid for expecting anything less.
Now Finney Blake is also known as a toy, as a doll, as entertainment by none other than the Grabber. The real question is what changes from here. Finney is alone in this world, no ghost boys to guide him. Will he survive this? (No, no he won't.)
