Kylo Ren used to be her friend when she was an intern and he was an associate. They used to go out for drinks and flirt and maybe kiss too. However once Hux betrayed the company secrets in exchange for more money over at the First Order Editing & Publishing nothing has been the same. Kylo got promoted to CEO and has thrown himself into his work. He refuses to be social with any of his colleagues and is anything but nice. He runs their lovely company like a well oiled cog, doing everything he can to keep them from going under from the pressures the First Order puts on them.
One dull morning Kylo spills hot coffee all over Rey and decides to warm up to her by inviting her to eat Mother's Day dinner with him and Leia. She only agrees because she hasn't been able to stop thinking about him for the past two years. Rey can only hope for his love, but expects him to totally forget about her the minute he isn't around her. Kylo can't believe he let himself walk away from her two years ago.
