Oh my, oh my.

Summary:

Zuko always liked writing music and Sokka always liked writing poetry. But, how would they know they would be writing about each other someday?

Or

A short story that takes place after a fight.

(Music and poetry included are mine, please don't use it without credit!)

Chapter 1: Sokka

Chapter Text

Sokka's room was dark. Almost pitch black, only illuminated by a single candle that sat on his desk. Even seeing the flame flicker and sway made his heart hurt. Everything reminded Sokka of him.

He could hear soft music playing from the room next door. Sokka ran a hand through his hair and grabbed a pen. Looking at the sheet of paper in front of him, Sokka began to write.

"You've left me broken,
In this lonely apartment.
I thought you loved me."

He could remember when Zuko left Sokka's apartment in tears. They had a fight and he might've said something about Ozai that upset Zuko. He shouldn't have said it. He wouldn't have said it if he just stopped to think about what he was saying.

He wished he didn't say it.

"Hope you understand,
I didn't mean that. I love you.
Please, please forgive me."

Zuko used to love Sokka's haikus. He used to ask to read his poetry as soon as he finished writing it.

"I wish you'd call me,
I'm far too nervous myself.
I miss you, my love."

Chapter 2: Zuko

Chapter Text

"You said something and I ran,
Tears in my eyes.
I don't know if I'll ever forgive you,
But, I'll try.

Maybe I should lie or maybe cry.
But either way, I won't die.
You can't get rid of me that easily.

Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my."

Zuko missed Sokka. He had kept trying to message him but it just never sounded right. So many draft messages just ended up in the trash. It's not like he would respond anyway.

"Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my.

I miss your stupid face and your pretty eyes.
I miss the way you held your head high.

I miss you.
That isn't a lie.

Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my.
Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my.

I would go back to you,
But, I don't know if you want me.

So please, just drop by.

Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my.
Oh my, oh my. Oh my, oh my. "
