Chapter Text
It is the duty of the keeper to put pen to page any time an event of significance occurs either within the family or on Addams Reserve territory. Therefore, I am more than thrilled to write that since the time of the arrest of my cousin, Gomez, we have all indulged in a time of little to report or cover up. Other than the string of criminal activities attributed to Fester, that is. The man flits about the country on a disturbed will, leaving strange clues behind so he can “play hide and seek with the FBI.”But today delivers new and dreadful news to my doorstep. I am to report a new…alliance, of sorts being proposed over several days this October between the Addams family and the Sinclair pack of the west coast. They were well known for their skill in combat in my youth, these days I hear they’re renowned for tracking and hunting. It’s a shame the wolves can no longer wander free as they once did. Living off the land was something we once shared in common.
According to our genealogical history, this will be the first true interaction between the families since either immigrated to the US some 300 years ago. My family shall arrive with 6 guests the night before the Sinclaire pack, who shall bring 4 of their own with them.
In preparation for this rather large crowd, I have begun tending to, and cleaning, all the rooms the Reserve has available, as well as stockpiling meat for our carnivorous visitors. A part of me also expects the need to move any docile or domesticated creatures away from the homestead area for the time being. Werewolves can be quite violent when they get excited, and I’d rather not have to serve their midnight kills for breakfast because they decided to “let loose.”
This meeting has me biting my nails in anticipation, it’s been near 2 decades since I have spoken to another person face-to-face. Perhaps I should go out into town in order to brush up on my social skills? Rue is a wonderful companion, but I doubt Thing would qualify her as a competent conversationalist. Lurch wouldn’t be bothered by it though, if the man could be bothered by anything other than dust on a century old vase. One thing I find I am excited for is the prospect of meeting my cousins. As far as I am aware, Wednesday is the eldest child and was born not long after Gomez and Morticia last visited. I have no doubt the Reserve played some part in that.
The Sinclaire’s also plan to bring a younger member of the pack themselves.
I do hope the children play nice and only burn down the pixie coop this time.
Signed,
Corvus Addams,
Addams Family Keeper.
