“To bind time, to seal the past.. to hold the stars, to see the truth.. to stop the flow of blood, to reverse the tides of death.. seal this god, until all’s end.”
A god long ago, a fate sealed in stone. Gifted power to not have, she was overthrown. Twisting reality to see their choices, they wanted to oppress her with their forces.
Now listen to my story, the Twins of Fate. Yin and Yang will once more reign.
Yang was darkness, a fate untold, the sweetest god, wrapped in gold. Yin was light, her story forgotten, one half of a whole, gone rotten.
The elder twin, whom’s power came first, launched jealously unto the earth. Yin of Purity, despite her name, was indeed very vain.
Jealousy corrupted her very soul, her desire for power long untold. In tune with destiny, the twins fought, doomed by fate until they were both naught.
The balance was necessary, though it tore at their souls, and this very day, their stories may be told. Lost in their blight, the twins took flight, in hope to end this eternal fight.
When the world first created, impurities not slight, it took millions of years for the first light. That light grew and split in two, taking the form of the twins, whom once we all knew.
Equal in power, the twins fought evil, hoping to one day end this blight. Upon a realization, after an endless war, the opposing forces were bound and sore.
If one died, the other went with, for without one, neither could exist. Despite this fact, the war waged on, they did not care for death, they only wanted the other gone.
Yang saw his error, and tried to help Yin, but corrupted by greed, that is where sin began.
Their power equal, the cracks began, reality breaking by their hand. Reality grew tired of the warring, and created the first law, a warning.
“One cannot exist without the other, equal forces will only clash together. Balance shall now be upheld, and you shall be bound together in this world.”
Gods were created, equity in both good and evil. Still they warred, and reality became unstable.
The creations it treasured, The Twins of Fate, reformed exactly like it, a new slate. While still Yin and Yang, the twins took no sides, equality in their powers, and their minds.
Both light and dark, pure and impure, the twins set out once more. No longer they warred, set to restore.
But after long, the twins could not remain untouched, the younger seethed with jealousy and it’s might. Wanting power to surpass her twin, Yin of Purity soon became Sin.
Washing her wrath over all mortals again, she sealed the eldest, then disappeared in her pain. Chaos unleashed, the twin gods gone, mortality was now just evil’s pawn.
And while their tale was once known, and now, they are just a bygone. Maybe one day they may come back, back to take the throne.
But until then, reality will remain all alone.
