Chapter Text
Realms
Earthrealm: Earth
Planet Earth; Realm of Humans. Real Life Earth.
Dark Realms: Varia Realms
Little to no natural sunlight
Envaria: the smallest habited realm
Varus Prefecture
City Center
Hellhounds
Lionnira
Humanoid Lion-Hybrid Species based primarily off of Transvaal Lions and Congo Lions. They were created when a magical sentient lion, a Zouwu, and a powerful warlock combined their magic in a dying child.
Females are ALWAYS Gheyo or Gheyric Alphas and have zero care for non-blood young.
Males can be Submissive, Pareya, and/or Beta.
Bonding Sets are termed as Prides and Lionniras follow a Matriarchal society.
When using their magic, a Lionnira's skin tone will begin to change to the color of their elemental magic and will continue to change depending on the amount of magic is used. A Lionnira will lose consciousness if their skin turns the complete color of their magic; their conscious will project from their physical form into their radiating magics; especially in the case of Shadow Lionniras as their natural shadow isn't sentient like other species and requires direct control via their separated and temporarily transplanted conscious.
It is important to note that should a new Submissive join a Pride with cubs born prior to their Bonding, the new Submissive will go feral and attempt to kill all young born. They will not regain rational unless all of the pre-Bonding young are dead (or at least believed to be dead).
The Reigning Pride includes: Queen Sarabi (Alpha), Queen-Consort Mufasa (Beta), and their Submissive; Aslan.
(AN: Lionnira as the most general concept originates with me, but the in-depth content was created by Fillyfics.)
(AN p2: In her verse, Lionniras originated from the realm Remoria, but most migrated to Envaria following the creation of the 'Barrier'.)
(F or more details, see Fillyfic.)

Nivaria: the second smallest Realm
Caean
The Primary Goddess of Nivaria.
Used much in the sense of “Arielle”, “Merlin”, “Oh my God”, “Jesus”, and so on…
Were-Jackals
A Magical Shapeshifter that can assume the form of a Jackal.
The Were-Jackal is dominant and will never mix with another magical species genes.
I.e. A Dragel and a Were-Jackal can have a babe but it is a 50-50 chance on whether the babe will Inherit as a Dragel or a Were-Jackal. (A percentage that can increased or decreased in favor of one of the options depending on the babe’s Third.)
There is no such thing as a Were-Jackal Hybrid.
Were-Jackals are monogamous Beings and do not have Dynamics (aka Alpha, Sub, Gheyo, etc.)
(These are singular facts to my/ “Kings” AU’s and can be different in other Authors AU’s.)
AN: Titannia is based on an image of an Egyptian woman and Jackals simply fit creature wise and I made them very specific because Titannia’s character and her Being-details were pre-determined and worked out before I established her as a Were-Jackal.
Aevaria
???
Celestial Realms:
Kitsuna: Kitsune Lands/Kitsune Capital
Kitsune
Neko
An Elemental Single-Tailed Humanoid Feline. Not to be confused with a Were-Creature of any kind. Neko are born as Neko; with tail and catlike ears in replacement of “human” ears. Inheritance does not bury soon after birth like most species do.
Follow Dragel Dynamics.
Bakeneko
Nekomata
An Elemental Two-Tailed Humanoid Feline. Not to be confused with any Were-Creature nor Nekos. Nekomata are born with their catlike ears rather than “human” ones, but no tail, and their Inheritance does bury itself soon after birth. They gain their first tail at four years old when their Inheritance Unlocks. Their second tail grows in a time of severe stress/trauma.
Follow Dragel Dynamics; only if they have their 2nd Tail.
Were-Feline Tribes:
Tiger/Lion/Pather/Leopard
Aeraiella: Floating Islands
Tengu
DreamEaters
Sunscreamer:
A Sun Elemental (a combination of Earth+Fire for those unfamiliar with KHR) Humanoid Avian with hyper-advanced regeneration capabilites. The only way to kill them is to behead them, otherwise they can heal back into perfect, unblemished, working order. They are Beings of Light Magic and extremely susceptible to “Dark/Shadow/Death” Magics.
Veela
Firebird
A pure Fire Elemental Avian Humanoid. Not to be confused with other Avian species; such as a Phoelix. Their full form looks like a red, orange, and yellow colored peacock and they are known to be just as vain as their non-humanoid cousins.
(AN: The Concept of Phoelix originated from Cheyla.)
Jigoku
Baekho
Alternate spelling: Byakko. In-story, NOT used interchangeably as I have made them original to my stories and not to their known mythology.
An Elemental Tiger Humanoid. Have all Dragel Rank Dynamics but pureblooded Baekho are only Fire or Storm Elementals.
Common Descriptors:
Fire Types: Magenta, red, or pink hair. Eyes can be in varying shades of red and blue. Only Royal Baekho have naturally gold or yellow colored eyes. Halfling/Full Form characteristics are orange and black. (A Bengal Tiger)
Storm Types: White hair. Eyes can be in varying shades of purple and grey. Only Royal Baekho have naturally gold or yellow colored eyes. Halfling/ Full Form characteristics are white and black. (A White Tiger)
Ogre
Based off of Ogres from Hoozuki no Reitetsu (Hozuki’s Coolheadedness).
Oni
An advanced evolution of Ogre. Near immortal Elemental Humanoid with a horn (or two) on their forehead. Oni of high power and large magical reserves have wings which is a sign of Respected Status as not all Oni have them. Earth Oni use similar magic to Dryads and are very nature orientated; Air Oni use similar magic to Light Fae and are usually very Healing orientated. All Elemental Types exist except Water. There are no Water Oni or Hybrid “Water-like” Oni: like Ice or Steam or Rain or Elements of that nature.
They have colored dots on the outer corner of their eyes; usually red, black, or yellow. A flower mark (like a tattoo or birthmark) of some kind on one of their cheeks represents Oni born to a High Noble Clan.
Juri of the Hanamaki Clan is the only High Noble to be born with a flower mark on his left butt cheek. Everyone else has one on their facial cheeks. His children will not even be born with their flower mark on their bottoms.
Oni are based on a mix of Hozuki from Hoozuki no Reitetsu (Hozuki’s Coolheadedness) and Kijin from Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (I was Reincarnated into a Slime).
Jīnmāo
Chinese origin meaning "golden cat". Not to be confused with a mundane asianic cat with a golden coat nor maneki-neko's.
In-story Jīnmāo's are humanoid Beings with cat-like appendages (typically cat ears on the top of their head and a single cat tail) with very little magic. Only pureblooded Jīnmāo have cat ears as well as a tail. Half-bloods only have one or the other and external-blocked magical cores making them "squib-like"- where they cannot turn their magic into spells. They can only channel their magic through their bodies and into their hands which does allow them to make potions.
Jīnmāo are NOT Elemental Beings nor do they have Dynamics like Dragels. Jīnmāo are considered Null when unbonded or Bonded to a Dynamic-Type Being or Companions when Bonded to a Dynamic-Type Being.
Maomao is the primary example of Jīnmāo's in my Universe, especially in Star Gazing with an Apothecary. Maomao is a half-blooded Jīnmāo and is only able to unveil cat ears on the top of her head. She is Null; unbonded.
Meido
Daemon
Semi-Immortal Shadow Beings that gain nutrition via eating soul essence. Beheld to an Ancient Contract at Birth that begins to summon them into Contracts once they reach adult hood. Summonings happen via an enscribed Daemon Circle with the Contractee’s blood. Can be generic and fulfilled by a Daemon in need of sustinence and randomly pulled by the Ancient Contract Magic; or made more specific by enscribing the Daemons Full Name into the circle to target-summon that particular Daemon.
Upon being summoned a Contract between the Daemon and Contract Holder (Contractee) will be made verbally with a set of conditions; minimum of three, maximum of five. A Daemon can revoke up to two conditions before they must accept any other condition that is made that does not contradict the rules of the Ancient Contract: No more than five conditions (Contractee cannot ask for more as one of their conditions), servitude will last for a max of 100 years at which time the Contractee’s soul is forfeit, and a Daemon cannot be forced to attack anyone Bonded to them nor used as a solider against their Primary Realm.
Daemon born as Submissive or Pareya are Renounced from their Rank at birth to protect them from having to undergo a forced Gheyo-Shift. Most Daemon that keep their Rank end up Joker-Shifting, so most Renounce their Rank upon Inheritance; this is a personal choice and depends on the Daemon themselves.
Species is based off of Sebastian Michaelis for those familiar with Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler).
Keanin
Kilgina
??? (Will go into more detail after reviewing Nightmare Politics v1 and v2.)
Fae Realms
Kissen: Dark Fae Realm
Dark Fae
The same Being as Scioneeris’ version in TBDH. (will go into more detail when I have more detail to include)
Grimm
Death-magic primary humanoid dog-like creature. Based in a mix of known mythology and Sirius Black in Harry Potter Canon.
Hellhounds
The same Being as Scioneeris’ version in TBDH. (will go into more detail when I have more detail to include)
ShadowHunters
Pests made of pure Shadows that feast on other shadows; most common in Shadow-heavy areas and rarely seen in Fire-heavy areas. Never seen in Water-heavy areas because they are afraid of drowning even though they are not corporal; no one knows where this fear originated.
Darklings
-
Shadow-primary Beings.
-
The name of Fabrine “Generals” (that are 6x stronger than the average Fabrine and capable of commanding invading forces of up to 600 Fabrine.)
Faeryln: Faerie Realm
Seelie
Faerie of the Summer Courts: brighter colored and personalitied. Peaceful, happy, gentle folk. There are of course excepts but these are the generalities of the Seelie Faerie Court. Tend to be shorter than their Unseelie counterparts. Do better in spring and summer-like environmental conditions.
Element(s): Earth, Air, Water.
Ranks: All Ranks except Gheyo. Submissives and Alpha are Rare.
Unseelie
Faerie of the Winter Courts: darker colored and personalitied. Private, secretive, bloodthirsty folk. There are of course exceptions but these are the generalities of the Unseelie Faerie Courts. Tend to be taller than their Seelie counterparts. Do better in winter-like environmental conditions. An Unseelie Faerie is more likely to be caught smiling if it is snowing.
Element(s): Shadow, Fire, Storm.
Ranks: All Ranks except Pareya. Submissives are Rare
Bondings between Seelie and Unseelie are Rare but the occurances that do occur make for a happier and healthy pairing for both of them. Faerie hold true to the saying: “Opposites Attract”.
Solarios: Light Fae Realm
Light Fae
Air Elemental Fae.
Cherebs

CloudWalkers
Tiny Sprites made from an abundance of Magical Essence in clouds. Playful, harmless. They like to settle around magic-heavy areas near water (that are protected from ShadowHunters). They do not speak a recognizable language but those with a Water-Affinity can interpret the gist of what they are “saying”. They are a sentient species, but they are not humanoids. They do have the ability to establish a Familiar-Type Bond with someone they favor.
If location is populated by humanoids, they enjoy giving teardrop shaped crystals made from magical water sourced from their unique magic. The teardrops are considered an expensive and high-quality gift for Beings that do not have a Water-Affinity; especially to Fire-Types as they are a rarely seen item in Fire-Heavy populations.
Nevarah has a magically created small archepalago in the Northern Waters of Aqua-kin’e Territory that is the home of the largest Cloudwalking community and is protected by [Ao Shun]; the Dragon Guardian of the North.

For legal purposes, this is a Joke.
Teutates (Celtic-origin):
Celtic “God of the People”. According to later commentators, victims sacrificed to Teutates were killed by being plunged into a vat filled with an unspecified liquid- potentially ale; a favorite Celtic beverage. Teutates was indentified with both: Mercury (Hermes), and Mars (Ares). Sourced from Britannica.
(Returning Stars AN: I considered using Ares for the longest time as Nelkarius’ Patron God, but I decided to go with a Celtic Alternative given the Scottish Origins of Nel’s Surname.)
Caean (Original):
The Goddess Native to Nivaria, the second smallest Realm apart of the Dark Realms. See Realms for more details about the Dark Realms.

Forged Caspers
(This is a mix of Canon Dragel Universe and my own spin)
Original Heralds from the first Dragel Circle, their selfless sacrifice to protect their breathren and establish a Safe Haven for Dragels, and later other creatures seeking Sanctuary, earned the Immortal status that allows them to exist indefinately. Cannot be destroyed or killed. Or in this case Reaped or Excorsised.
Erigan
The Earth Casper
Oris
The Air Casper
Kasmar
The Water Casper
Sauraneth
The Fire Casper
Caspers
(This is a mix of Canon Dragel Universe and my own spin)
A semi-conscious soul manifestation of the dead, largely crafted by magic and bearing the original individual’s soul. It is formed from a soul-fragment trapping the Spirit in Death’s Realm, confined to Their Court until the condition that required the manifestation is properly fulfilled.
Some family members or friends, may choose this option to stay behind a bit longer and protect/guard the one that Casper-Bonds them.
Souls seeking to become Caspers, have a specific Soul Seal etched by a High Ranking Reaper prior to Death, as soon as they decide that Caspering is something they would prefer to do upon death.
Individuals, like the Original Four, are able to Casper themselves out of a dire need to protect/defend upon death. They must simply be powerful and have enough time and selflessness to preform the act themselves prior to subcumming to death. This is an impossibility for those Instantly Killed, such as being ‘Avada Kedava’d’.
Earth-Affinity Caspers
Terris Alomath

Gheyo Terms
Gheyo: TBDH Handbook + Minor Kings Twist
Almost a direct quote from “The Dragel Handbook” by Scioneeris: Chapter 8 – Glossary - 2019
The Fighters within a Bonded Set, often consider the Weapon(s) or “Blade(s)” of a Bonded Set. Their primary function is the immediate physical safety of their Bonded and Bonded Sets reputation. They are physical Beings that prefere a more “hands-on” approach to everything and naturally run closer to their Instincts.
Gheyo have their own Dueling Events in Nevarah; every 5 years. (Blood Season) – Kings Twist
There are three types of Gheyo. (TBDH + Kings Twist)
1. Those born into a Suite Rank by having at least one Gheyo Parent. (Kings Twist)
Aka: ACE, King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Knight, Squire, and/or Page.
2. Those who are forced into the Rank by way of extreme physical/emotional/mental distress, usually a life-threatening situation resulting in a near-death. (TBDH)
Aka: Gheyo-Shift.
3. Jokers: Gheyo that experience a significant amount of emotional/physical/magical distress and suffer through a “Joker-Shift”. (TBDH + ???Kings Twist???)
Gheyic: TBDH + Kings Twist
Someone that has heightened Gheyo Tendencies/Gheyo Instincts while holding a non-Gheyo Primary Rank.
Aka: Gheyic Pareya.
Gheyic is a lexeme of Gheyo, with Ghey as the root-word and ic as the morphological derivation; in this case a suffix meaning “relating to, or resembling.” Thus Gheyic can mean “In Relation to Gheyo” (a collective proper noun) or “A Rank resembling Gheyo” (an adjective).
Ex: The Gheyic-Triad (Collective Proper Noun) is composed of the Alpha, Submissive, and ACE.
Ex: Alec is a Gheyic (Adjective) Pareya.
Ex: JJ seems a little more gheyic (adjective) today.
Gheyric: Kings Twist
1. A Submissive; or Alpha, that is born or Inherits with an equal amount of Gheyo + (Submissive or Alpha) Instincts and makes them evenly dual-Ranked.
Aka: “Gheyo Alpha” or “Gheyo Submissive”.
2. An ACE that experiences an Alpha-Shift becomes a Gheyric Alpha.
3. A non-Dragel Gheyo that experiences a Beta-Shift becomes a Gheyric Beta.
Does not apply to any other Rank. Just Submissive, Alpha, and/or a non-Dragel Beta.
AIC

Outpost: 18 AIC for each Element.
Pit: 24 AIC for each Element.
Gate: Up to 30 AIC for each Element.
AIC’s can rotate between each of the sectors as the “Acting” AIC, some; however, are limited to which Command Positions they can hold based on training and ability- a decision made by the Higher Command Forces/ “Higher Chain-of-Command”.

RAC: ERAC, FRAC, ARAC, WRAC, DAC, SAC
Royal ACE Commander, highest non-Blood Title ACE, Highest Commanders of the Elemental Forces for each Court. Storm and Shadow; as they lack a Royal Clan, do not assume the R in RAC, thus use only their Element + ACE Commander. Shadow = Dark for DAC. A = Air, W = Water.
This is an Elected/Battled for position- Rules and Requirements are determined by each individual Element Court.
ERAC:
Earth Royal ACE Commander; Earth RAC; ERAC- Used interchangeably.
Requirements:
- Must Rank within the Top 10 on the ACE Ranking Board for a minimum period of one decade (aka 2 Blood Seasons) and continue to keep within the Top 10 throughout the duraction of service as Commander.
- Must have held the Earth Blood Title [Blood Wraith] for a minimum of five years.
- Must have the recommendations of 10 AIC of High-Standing as well as the support of 2 Commanders.
Upon completion of all requirements, the ERAC-Prospect and the current ERAC will battle in a Death Match; with appropriate Death Seals in place to ensure no “true-death” takes place. The winner will assume the Authority of ERAC.

CAIC:
Central ACE in-charge, Central AIC- used interchangeably.
The Highest Neutral ACE Authority, technically falls as the collective Elemental Commanders 2nd in-command, but is really more of a grey space.
Primary duty is to mediate L3 and higher Priority Mixed-Element Cases and determine Lead and Authority Rights. The CAIC position is a fully elected position and chosen by the RAC’s.
The CAIC is always Nameless to ensure elemental neutrality clauses are upheld.
RW-ORD:
Realm-wide Outpost Record Database.
Think CODIS with the inclusion of any and all government forms of identification: records (like birth certificates), warrants, missing person reports, etc.
Connects to all Realms holding a treaty with Nevarah and level of access is determined by Tier Level/ Clearance Access. The Lower their Tier number the more Access they are granted into the RW-ORD.
(Self Reminder: comb through Crescepucula on more details regarding RW-ORD and Tier Listings/Clearance Access.)
RSI:
Report Shorthand Index, the individual file index codes for every word listed in the RW-ORD.
Typically listed by abbreviated report code, initials, age, then hyphened by the DoE (Date-of-Event).
King Julien __ of Cassander’s Suite is the only Gheyo that can recite a reports RSI without writing it down or searching it up from a Hub Terminal (a holographic computer interface). Not because it is difficult to do, but because no other Gheyo has spent enough time organizing an Outpost Hard File Archive Room to just learn the Index. The only ones that have, besides him, are Pareya hired by the lowered number Outposts or those Assigned purely Administrative positions in the higher numbered Outposts.

Hellhounds
Hellhounds are the guardians of Death; the Divine Death, and the protectors of the entrance to the Afterlife; Death's Realm.
Native Realm:
Nevarah, Shadow Haunts, Death Courts
Creation:
1) Hellhounds born via at least one Hellhound Parent. Considered Natural Born Hellhounds, which can be simplified to Born Hellhounds.
2) A non-Hellhound who has caught the attention of Death's attention in some way, dies. Upon dying they are offered the chance to regain life by clearing The Labyrinth of Death; The Death Maze. If they successfully clear The Maze, they undergo a transfiguring rebirth by becoming a Hellhound. They are henceforth considered Made Hellhounds.
General Information:
Appearance:
Hellhounds have two primary forms:
1) Humanoid form: tend to be rather tall and of a stocky build, with pale toned skin, black hair of various lengths and textures, and scarlet red eyes.
2) Hellhound form: oversized quadruped that is more bear-like than wolf-like. Tend to have medium to long fur coats made of a pure black overcoat and a maroon undercoat. Bear-like paws, fangs, and claws. Wolf-like snout and tail. The Hellhound form gains menacing cracks around their form that pulse with veins of ever bright and boiling magma.
Ranks:
Alpha, Beta, Submissive, all Pareya subranks, all Gheyo subranks, Mage, Advisor, Healer.
There are no female Submissives and male Submissives are rare. Submissives are only Born, not Made.
Joker is the most common Rank amongst Hellhounds; 2nd: Alpha; 3rd: Beta; 4th: Gheyo; 5th: Non-Ranks (Mage, Advisor, & Healer); 6th: Pareya; 7th: Submissive.
There are no Royal Ranks amongst Hellhounds, though they do have a True Genesis (a Primordial Rank that overtime dilutes [down generations] into the known "Royal Ranks.)
See more details: Royals.
Magic:
All Hellhounds are Tri-Elementals known as 'Magma Elementals' with three elemental primaries (Shadow + Earth + Fire).

Hellhound Bonds
Credit to Eridanus_Archernar for their aid in developing/finalizing the types of Hellhound Bonds I incorporate in my verses.
All Hellhounds require bonds to remain stable. They are a social, pack orientated Being, and bonds make up over 90% of their culture and interspecies dynamics. The depth and types of bonds vary.
House Bonds:
These are bonds established at “birth”, whether that is a natural birth or a “made” birth, between a newborn Hellhound, the Genesis Hellhoundris, and the entirety of their Hellhound House.
House Bonds are not automatically formed. They must be acknowledged after “birth” and should be acknowledged relatively soon after “birth” to ensure and guarantee the overall health of the newborn Hellhound.
A newborn Hellhound, whether they are born or made, would be presented to the Genesis Hellhoundris and the Genesis Hellhoundris would recognize and acknowledge the new Hellhound, accepting their place under his Authority and Protection. The House Lord would then repeat this acknowledgement and the newborn Hellhound would gain access to the entirety of their House’s House Bonds.
House Bonds are the Hellhound equivalent of Clan or Family Bonds, purely platonic in nature.
The Genesis Hellhoundris is the only Hellhound that holds a House Bond with every single Hellhound.
House is the term for Hellhound Clans (Family) Sets. House does not equate to being blood-related, as not all Hellhounds are naturally born and are instead transform into Hellhounds after experiencing Death and then completing the Death Maze.
Genesis Bonds:
The Genesis Hellhoundris is the only Hellhound that holds a House Bond with every single Hellhound, these are considered the Genesis Bonds.
Cub Protocol: (Partial Credit: Eridanus_Archenar)
Hellhound natural young are colliquially termed: Cubs, Cublets, Cublings, Houndlets, or Houndlings. They are treasured and heavily protected due to their rarity.
Hellhound pregnancies are turmulous and fragile, easily able to become unstable and cause a miscarriage, so pregnant Hellhounds are guarded and treated like royalty, their every wish granted (within reason) and heavily pampered.
The moment the pregnant Hellhound’s contractions begin, the pregnant Hellhound will be brought to the Arythmoor Manor alongside their Pack and their House Lord, and Arythmoor Manor is placed under a Total Lockdown, where none may enter and none may leave until 72 hours after delivery. At which point the lockdown will be lightened, exit and entry heavily scrutinized, but permitted within reason, until a full week has passed, then the Lockdown will be fully rescinded and the newborn and family will be transported to their home, with a highly trained guard rotation set up, until the Pack is able to prove they are capable of handling their own protection. Most chose to accept a near perminant guarding pair until their Cub is in their mid-toddler years (3-4 years old).
Immediately after the birth, a naming ceremony will be performed by the highest ranked Pack member, and then a traditional claiming ritual will be performed, first by the Genesis Hellhoundris, and then by the Pack’s House Lord. After which, the newly named newborn will be accepted into the House Bonds and granted lifelong protection by both their House and their Genesis Hellhoundris.
The protections of Cub Protocol then continue into early childhood as most will never see a Hellhound Cub, let alone become close enough to one to physically interact with one, if they are not a Hellhound or Bonded to that Cub’s House. The youngest a Hellhound Cub will be seen in public is 9 years old and at that time they will be permitted to interact with other non-Hellhound young.
Cubs are dependant on their House Bonds to the point it will destablise their health and general being to the point of self-injurious behaviours if they are removed from them or if those bonds are never established, such as in the case of becoming orphaned.
Orphan Initiative (Credit: Eridanus_Archenar)
An Orphaned Hellhound Cub, or one without the safety of House Bonds (such as in the case of no such Bonds being initiated after birth for some reason), will instinctively latch onto any Being who they feel safe creating such a bond with. Even if that Being is not a Hellhound themselves.
This is a rare phenomenon that occurs only when an Orphaned Cub feels unsafe and in dire need of a parental figure to help comfort, guide, protect, and teach them. Their prepubescent and young magic will seek a safe parental figure and then establish a House Bond without an acknowledgement ceremony necessary.
Such a thing only occurs with non-House, non-Hellhounds when the Orphaned Cub is in an unstable state from a severe lack of any type of Bonds.
A Cub that initializes their own House Bond will often establish other types of Bonds without meaning to- instinctively- in order to stabilize themselves.
Pack Bonds: (Primary Credit to Eridanus_Archenar)
Pack Bonds are intimate bonds between clusters of “mated” Hellhounds. Can be platonic partners, but most Pack Bonds are sexual in nature.
Pack is the term for a Hellhound Bonding Set, where the majority, if not all, are Hellhounds.
Peril Bonds:
These Bonds may also be called Hellhound-Reaper Bonds.
Not all Hellhounds require a stablizing Reaper Bond, given their close affinity with Death, and not all Reapers want an alternative Hellhound Bond; however, the stronger the Reaper and the stronger the Hellhound, the more likely a Peril Bond will form out of compatibility.
The Bond formed between a compatible Hellhound-Reaper (Perilous) Pair will be unshakable.
A Reaper will always be able to find their Hellhound Bonded, no matter where they are and no matter what kind of magic is put up in an attempt to block or hide their Bond(ed).
Likewise, a Hellhound will always be able to summon their Reaper, no matter how deep into the Void the Reaper explores.
Consort Bonds:
Consort Bonds are a solitary Bond made between Hellhound and a non-Hellhound non-Reaper, without any other Bonded. A single Bond between one Hellhound and one non-Hellhound non-Reaper.
Consort Bonds preface Pack Bonds, a Hellhound with Pack Bonds will not have a Consort, they’d have a Pack Bonded. Having a Consort Bond first, rather than a Pack Bond, tends to signify that Hellhound as one seeking Bondship outside of a Pack, outside of the Hellhound Courts.
Some Hellhounds will only have a Consort Bond and will not seek any other partnership Bonds. This is a rare scenario, typically only seen in Pareya Hellhounds and other non-Hellhound Pareya.
Consort Bonds can be formed at any age and can be forced or accidental on the Hellhound’s behalf.
To Hellhounds, Consort is not equivalent with underage, that would specifically be called a Child-Consort Bond. A Child-Consort can be Hellhound, Reaper, or something else.
Consort Bonds are treasured and protected to a higher degree than a standard Pack Bond, because the Bonded would not be a Hellhound or a Reaper, and thus not capable of negotiating with Death for self-revival.
Imprint Bonds:
An Imprint Bond is the epitome of special/unique bonds for Hellhounds. They are a singular bond-type specific to Hellhounds, a Hellhound will only ever have one Imprint Bond. It is an all encompasing bond that may be romantic or platonic, and may change throughout the time of the bond’s existance as the Imprint’s needs/wants change and grow. A Hellhound with an Imprint will become whatever their Imprint seeks of them, whether that is a close friend or a romantic life partner.
Imprint Bonds are discovered with a ‘first glance’ and initiated with a ‘first touch’ and then finalized with a Bite Mark, a Claim Mark. Zero sexual action is required for the finalization of this Bond on either the Hellhound or the Imprint’s part. An Imprint Bond can be discovered and finalized at any age for either the Hellhound and the Imprint. However, Hellhounds do not typically discover their Imprints until they are at least in their first century, most even longer than that.
To a Hellhound, their Imprint is the equivalent of their Primary Bonded no matter either of their Ranks. A Hellhound’s world revolves around their Imprint.
Level of Bond Importance to a Hellhound:
Imprint Bonds reign supreme to a Hellhound.
A Consort Bond and/or a Peril Bond would be tied for second in importance.
A Pack Bond would be third, or first in the case that the Hellhound lacks an Imprint or Peril Bond.
House Bond would be forth.
The Genesis Bond would be last, unless their Genesis is in direct need of them, in which case the Genesis Bond will trump all Bonds, even the Imprint Bond. For the most part, however, the Genesis Bond remains in stasis, and thus the least active bond.
Other Information:
Most Hellhounds are made via some form of completion of the Death Maze. Completion Conditions, as in the Method of Completion, determines the House the Hellhound is reborn into.
Hellhounds follow the same dynamics as Dragels, only their dynamic is present at birth and thus does not include an Inheritance of any kind. Naturally Born Hellhounds will undergo a Coming of Age Ceremony at 16 years old to prove that they are mature young adults, but will have been a Hellhound since birth.
Older Made Hellhounds tend to Rank-Shift from their “rebirthed” Rank into Jokers as a coping mechanism for their long lives and their lack of supporting Bonds. This is why all of the House Lords and Lady are Jokers, they went without any kind of Bonds for too long and become magically unstable and underwent a Joker-Shift in consequence.
It was after the 73rd Made Hellhound that the Lords and Lady began to experiment with Bonds and determined that House Bonds and a Genesis Bond stablized them enough to lower the rate of Joker-Shifting. By the 82nd Made Hellhound and the first natural born Hellhound, Hellhounds understood that Bonds of any kind are crucial to their health and sanity.

Chapter 12: Kitsunes
Chapter Text
Kitsunes
Kitsune are the warriors that enjoy war.
Native Realm:
Celestial Realms, Kitsuna, The Kitsune Courts
General Information:
Elemental Magics:
These are the Kitsune Elements in levels of rarity, with the first being the most common and the last being the most rare:
Taiyo (Sun): Magic is very quick [moves at the speed of light]. The power of the Sun. Aura of Warmth. A dual combination of (Earth + Fire) elemental magics. Taiyo Magic is capable of self-regeneration and the self-healing aspect can be projected onto others, so many Taiyo/Sun Users tend to be Healers.
Ame (Rain): This magic can be very fast or very slow depending on the intention of the magic. The power of the Rain. Aura of Serenity and Calmness; Tranquility. A Water Primary Magic with a subtle Air quality.
Arashi (Storm): Disentigration Magic. Aura of Fiery Destruction. Arashi/Storm Magic is a misnomer as Arashi Magic is more fire-like than storm-like. Arashi/Storm Magic is capable of disentigration and errosion. A dual combination of (Fire + Air) elemental magics.
Raiko (Lightning): Very similar to Dragel Storm Magic, save for the typical color being a shade of green and black rather than white or purple. Aura of Storms. Spastic and wild magic with an effect of attracting things electromagnetically. Raiko/Lightning Users specialize in magic absorbtion and tend to be very good at magics involving great complexities such as warding and curse breaking. A dual combination of (Water + Air) elemental magics.
Kiri (Mist): Illusionary Magic. Aura of Wistfulness/Unassumingness. An Air Primary Magic. Kiri/Mist Users tend to be Illusionists, Seers, Dreamwalkers, and/or experts of the “Mystic Arts”.
Kumo (Cloud): Propogation Magic. Aura of Freedom. Magic is capable of instant near infinite multiplication/duplication. Very flexible magic without rules or restraints. A dual combination of (Shadow + Air) elemental magics.
Sora (Sky): The Kitsune equivalent of Nameless Magic.
It should be noted that a Kitsune’s Element can often dictate their personality. Or Polarize it. Be Advised, this is an over generalization and simplification.
Taiyo: Happy, fun-loving, caregiving, energetic.
<><><><> Polarize: Bored, chaos-loving, blood-thirsty.
Ame: Fun-loving, easy going, “go with the flow” types.
<><><><> Polarize: Stern, dictative, controlling.
Arashi: Attention-seeking, erratic, passionate, self-destructive.
<><><><> Polarize: Deflective, calm, tranquil.
Raiko: Stubborn, hardheaded, erratic, overly emotional.
<><><><> Polarize: Devoted, obssessive, stern, extreme stubbornness.
Kiri: Quiet, watchful, unassuming.
<><><><> Polarize: Loud, absent-minded, center of attention.
Kumo: Aloof, near-silent, territory-seeking.
<><><><> Polarize: Socialable, loud, various levels of wanderlust.
Sora: Peace-loving, harmonious, sweet, well mannered.
<><><><> Polarize: Fight-loving, mean, rude.
Dynamics/Ranks:
The Kitsune Gene is a dominant genome, there are no “halfblooded” Kitsunes, only Pureblood Kitsune. Kitsune are also born with their Rank and Element and their Being-Type does not bury and hide away like Dragels.
Different Elemental types have different propensities for certain Ranks and how common or rare they are within that Court. This comes into play because most Kitsune Bonding Sets naturally include at least one of each Elemental Type.
Ranks by Element, listed most common to least common.
Taiyo:
1st: Pareya; 2nd: Submissive; 3rd: Beta; 4th: Alpha; 5th: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor, Mage); 6th: Gheyo; 7th: Royal
Ame:
1st: Pareya; 2nd: Submissive; 3rd: Beta; 4th: Alpha; 5th: Gheyo; 6th: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor, Mage); 7th: Royal
Arashi:
1st: Gheyo; 2nd: Beta; 3rd: Alpha: 4th: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor, Mage); 5th: Submissive; 6th: Royal
There are no Arashi Kitsune Pareyas.
Raiko:
1st: Mage; 2nd: Beta; 3rd: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor); 4th: Alpha; 5th: Submissive; 6th: Gheyo; 7th: Pareya: 8th: Royal
Kiri:
1st: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor, Mage); 2nd: Alpha; 3rd: Beta; 4th: Gheyo; 5th: Submissive; 6th: Royal
There are no Kiri Kitsune Pareya.
Kumo:
1st: Joker; 2nd: Gheyo; 3rd: Alpha; 4th: Submissive; 5th: Royal
All Kumo Kitsune are Gheyo. They have no Beta, Pareya, or Non-Ranks. Kumo Alphas and Submissives are Gheyric (Gheyo-Born and/or Alphas that have undergone an Alpha-Shift from ACE).
■ Most Kumo Kitsune eventually end-up Joker-shifting no matter their Born-rank. In order to lessen the death toll a force-shift causes, most Kumo Kitsune will undergo a Ritual that will Joker-shift them in a controlled situation.
■ Kumo Kitsune are the Warriors Among Warriors. The highest tier of the most dangerous Kitsune in every way.
Sora:
1st: Submissive; 2nd: Alpha; 3rd: Beta; 4th: Pareya; 5th: Gheyo; 6th: Non-Ranks (Healer, Advisor, Mage); 7th: Royal
Appearance:
All Kitsune have two primary forms, a humanoid form, and a Kitsune form. The Humanoid form can come in every variety imaginable regarding hair, skin, body type, eyes, etc. The main Kitsune form has a variety of tails with set color schemes. The other two forms have a set number of tails and a set color scheme.
Kitsune Forms:
Standard Form: a set number of tails (depends primarily on heritage [generational achievement] and sometimes on personal achievement). The tails form at the small of the Being’s back and are full fox tails. There are also two fox-like ears that form on the top of the Being’s head, they do not replace the humanesque ears, both will exist simaltaneously.
They will have a base color and a tip color. The base colors are as such:
Taiyo: shades of yellow. NOT golden.
Ame: dark shades of blue.
Arashi: shades of dark red.
Raiko: shades of dark green.
Kiri: shades of color-toned gray. NOT white.
Kumo: shades of black.
Sora: shades of orange.
The tips of the tails and ears can be one of three options: white, black, or base-match (making a fully solid tail/ear color). No other.
Shiroyasha Form: The Celestial Kyuubi Kitsune Form: Available only to Kyuubi Kitsune with a minimum of 9 generations of Kyuubi Kitsune. The Kitsune features bleed fully white. The purer the white, the higher the nobility status.
Royal Form: Royal Kitsune have a pure Golden Form in addition to a Shiroyasha form.
Number of Tails:
Ichiibi: One Tail
Niibi: Two Tails
Sanbi: Three Tails
Yonbi: Four Tails
Gonbi: Five Tails
Rokubi: Six Tails
Nanabi: Seven Tails
Hachibi: Eight Tails
Kyuubi: Nine Tails
■ Every Kitsune is Born with the highest number of tails that their highest-tailed Parent has. Kitsune Born with a benchmark of eight tails or fewer are capable of earning tails, up until they reach nine tails. Age is a factor, a non-Kyuubi can earn a tail for every 500 years they live.
■ The oldest Kitsune to have lived, is currently still alive at 1,253 years old and she earned herself and her bloodline’s future generations their last two-tails, bringing them from a Nanabi to a Kyuubi Bloodline.
■ Personal Accomplishments in Significant Survival can have the effect of granting the survivor an Earned Tail.
■ Other Significant Accomplishments can see to a Royal Kitsune rewarding a Kitsune with an additional Tail. This is the highest honor that can be bestowed by a Crowned Kitsune Royal and typically only seen bestowed upon those that earn the mantle of a Dragon Title; the equivalent of a Dragel Blood Title.
■ There is only a single Juubi: Ten Tailed Kitsune; the Emperor of Kitsuna, an evolution that occurs upon the passing of the Emperor Crown.

Kitsune Bonds
Sky Bonds:
A Kitsune Bonding Set is called a Sky. Sky Bonds are the equivalent of Circle Bonds.
Ketsu Bonds:
Blood Bonds are a mandatory Bond all Gheyo Kitsune must hold. Blood-Bonded are Gheyo with evenly matched blood and battlelust and more naturally capable of subduing their Feral Blood-Bonded.
To ensure the Kitsune Blood-Bonded are well matched, a Ritual is performed by the a Gheyo Kitsune between 20 and 26 years of age (when the degree of blood and battlelust has settled to a stage where it will not go higher than what it has already experienced) and summon a perfect match. The summoned Blood-Bonded will never be older than 26, and it is rare for the summoned Blood-Bonded to be older than the summoner. The summonee is often younger than the summoner, and if they are under the Age of Majority: 16, then they are treated similar to Dragel Consorts partnership-wise, until the summonee turns at least 16 and consents to a relationship advancement. (A very PG way to describe higher ranges of physical intimacies.)
Ketsu Bonds are only held by Kitsune Gheyo.
Blood-Bonded use Ketsu-koi as a term of endearment for their Blood-Bonded; meaning “Blood-love”.
■ It should be noted that the Age of Maturity equipped by Kitsuna does not truly reflect the Declaration of Mastery that Kitsuna uses to assign Missions.
Kosen Bonds:
Battle Bonds are a symbiotic Bond formed between two (or more) Kitsune put under the stress of war-like conditions. Long time Gheyo partners tend to naturally and gradually form these types of Bonds overtime. Consequently, two (or more) Kitsune held as POW’s (Prisoners of War) form them much quicker and typically to some kind of detriment of one another. Kosen Bonds formed too quickly have a higher likelyness of causing co-dependantancy tendancies between Battle-Bonded. This consequence is further increased if one of the Bond Holders is a Gheyo and one is not.
Battle-Bonds can be held between any Kitsune Ranks, but most often at least one Gheyo is a part of the Bonded pair(set).
Those with Battle-Bonds use Kosen-koi as a term of endearment for their Battle-Bonded; meaning “Battle-love”.
