Where Light And Darkness Intersect

Summary:

Y/N has been alone most of her life. Living on the streets of Seoul is never easy, but when you presented as an Omega, it became almost impossibly dangerous. Even so, you found ways to survive. You have always hated alphas, your parents had shown you how horrible they could be, and you pityed any omega unlucky enough to be trapped by one.
one night, your luck runs out. Two members of the Ateez pack find you, and now that they have, they cannot bear to let you go.

You were never looking for a pack and even less a mate, but now that these eight men have come into your life, you begin to doubt everything you believed about packs and alphas. You are not sure you want to do it all alone anymore. One thing remains the same: you will not give in without a fight.

Chapter 1: Prolouge: One Mistake

Chapter Text

Your heart beat wildly in your chest. You could tell your scent had spiked and turned rotten with fear, and you tried to control it, but it wasn’t easy while running for your life. You could hear the sounds of the Alphas running behind you, and it seemed as though they were getting closer. Your muscles ached; you hadn’t eaten enough to fuel yourself for this situation. You were always wary of danger, constantly scanning your environment and keeping tabs on potential threats, but you had not been prepared for a coordinated attack like this. No one had ever found the secret spot Mi-Soon had shown you so many years ago, so you had let your guard down for a moment of rest. You had gotten comfortable, and now it would likely cost you your life.

You had been running for what seemed like forever, and as you scanned the passing scenery, never slowing your pace, you realized you were in a part of the city you never came to; It was quieter and more upscale. A street rat like you could never blend in here, so you never came. It wasn’t worth the risk of being discovered and taken away.

Their footsteps sounded even closer now, and you ran towards the left in a split decision. It was darker in that direction, so you might be able to hide. It wasn’t ideal, but it was the best you could do, given the circumstances. Almost immediately, you realized that you had made the wrong decision, and it might cost you your life. It was a dead end, an alley with no outlet, just concrete walls and an overflowing dumpster.

Their footsteps grew ever closer; they would be here any moment. You looked around you for a weapon, but there was nothing there. You reached into your bag, scrambling to find the small knife you kept in there, but before you could grab it, the bag slipped from your hands, and when you looked up, the three towering alphas were in front of you, and the look in their eyes sent a chill down your spine. The pounding of your heart was loud in your ears, and the stench from the three men made you nauseous.

You set your shoulders back and bent your knees slightly. Your chances were not good, but you would not lie down and die without a fight.
