It was supposedly a normal day, but there's no normal in a day especially when Dazai is involved— so it's not a normal day
It's currently December 23 right now, and the agency members are starting to pack some of their belongings ready for a weeks of holiday— Fukuzawa had told them they have the whole 3 weeks as their holiday, so now everyone is ready to leave
Well aside from Dazai who's currently not packing his stuff and just idly sitting in his chair with his feet above his wait– clean desk?!
Dazai desk has always been a mess, and that stays messy even in the past 2 years he worked at the agency, his desk was only clean during his first few weeks at the agency, so seeing Dazai's clean desk shocked everyone— especially a certain idealist
"Oi Dazai, where's your paperworks?" Yosano curiously asked as she eyed the brunette very suspiciously. Dazai looked up to meet Yosano's gaze, "I finished them" he nonchalantly said
Kunikida's pen dropped to the floor with a loud thud– Kunikida stood frozen before he went over to Dazai, grabbed his shoulder and stare directly at the brunette
"Are you really Dazai?!" He asked in a very loud tone, earning a few flinches from the agency members– Dazai stared at him blankly again, "yea~ I just wanna finish paperwork~ I don't wanna spend my holiday thinking about them, when I can just unwind and relax with my slug", he explained happily with a small smile
Kunikida opened his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Dazai's rather loud notification– which was a call from someone named as 'chibi'– Dazai stood up, grabbed his coat and murmured a goodbye to the others before exiting the agency
The agency was left astonished to the previous predicament that just occured before their very eyes— well of course except a certain someone named Ranpo Edogawa who by the way is just happily eating candy from an expensive looking box
Dazai walked out of the agency building with a few skipped on his steps paired with a very happy expression while holding his coat
He looked around the place a few times seemingly looking for something— when he wasn't able to spot what he was looking for he was about to start walking when his phone ring, he grabbed his phone looked at the caller and made a disgusted look on his face, still he answered the call
"Dazai-kun~ I'm glad you picked up" the sound of a familiar raven haired doctor happily said, Dazai formed a small smile on his lips—(not like the caller can see his smile but yea) before answering "Mori-sensei, what do I owe you the pleasure of this call?" Dazai answered
Mori chuckled from the other line "Now now, it wouldn't hurt to see my son during Christmas would it?" he said with a sad tone in his voice. Dazai seemed to stop to think for an answer, "you yourself know better than I'd spend Christmas with my darling chibi" The brunette answered his tone speaking you-know-it-already
"Well how about a family Christmas then? I'll try to speak with your siblings about it, and you can also bring Chuuya-kun as well" Mori offered, Dazai with no idea what to do or respond— he couldn't just decide for Chuuya, because his Chuuya have his own mind and he can decide for himself.
"I'll tell Chuuya about it, and also let's discuss this later in the gc, I can see the car you've sent for me coming it's way here" Dazai finally responded after a good 5 second of thinking, Mori let out a small laugh from the other line "you know me so well Shuji, well then let's discuss this later, have a safe travel" Mori said before cutting off the call— very unusual if you ask Dazai because in every call he hangs up in Mori, but I guess his father has noticed this behavior by now (he noticed long ago, Mori just let Dazai have his fun)
When the car stopped right in front of Dazai, he didn't say anything just opened the door and slipped inside, he wouldn't mistake any car for the port Mafia car, because this one have very much almost not noticeable sticker of a certain symbol
And all of this occurred while the agency members watched from the window of their office— Kunikida surprisingly included among them
They all shared a confused look, sure not all of them heard the conversation that Dazai was having on his phone, but that's the use of their co-worker Atsushi who managed to catch some words his mentor said— oh and also from the caller
"So Atsushi what did you hear?" Naomi very curiously asked as she leaned closer to the weretiger, said furr- I mean weretiger backed up a little his hand out up front to protect himself, "I'm not sure it's good to eavesdrop on Dazai-san, I wouldn't want to invade his privacy" Atsushi reasoned out sending some glance at Ranpo asking for help
"It's Dazai, he enjoys uncovering secrets, so it's basically karma" Ranpo said opening another new lollipop from his stash of candy
Atsushi looked at him in disbelief and faced his co-workers— he turned to face Kunikida but it seems like he was affected by Naomi and Yosano's gossip antic
"Okay okay, I'll tell you some of the things I heard, I didn't hear much because Dazai-san was speaking so softly and quietly" Atsushi explained as he put his arms down and looked at the others
Surprisingly Kyouka was also interested in the gossip because according to her "Dazai-san is very interesting, I want to know more about him" said by Kyouka herself
"I'm not repeating it twice, I'll say it order" Before Atsushi could continue he heard the sound of paper and pen ticking
He sighed, "Sensei,Christmas, chibi, family" Atsushi stood up quickly after, "that's all I heard" He said before finally finishing up packing his stuff for the holiday Kyouka soon followed him
"Well it seems that Dazai is visiting his family for the holiday then" Kunikida concluded as he fixed his glasses and put away his pen
"There's a lot of questions that've been left unanswered-" Before Naomi could finish her sentence Ranpo yelled, "questions that can be answered during our year-end party!!!" Yosano and Naomi looked at Ranpo
"Oh right I forgot about our year-end party" Yosano pointed out and smiling, then Fukuzawa entered the office with all his glory
"Why haven't you left yet?, It's the holiday you can leave the unsolved cases after" He said with a gentle and calm demeanor
Ranpo grabbed his stash of sweets and ran towards the president with added skips to his steps, and Yosano soon followed him towards the president
"You guys go home now, and I've seen that Dazai is the only who already went home, I happened to encountered the car that picked him up" Fukuzawa explained looking around and closing his eyes
Ranpo looked at him with suspicion 'liar, I know you were in that car and the driver just dropped you off somewhere near the agency' he thought as he maintained a bored face
A little while later everyone has exited the agency office and had bid farewell to each other before going their separate ways
Dazai had arrived at the building where their penthouse is he thanked the driver before entering the building and going up to their floor, sure Dazai and his family are rich— in fact Dazai had earned himself a mansion at an island a few years back— with his own money of course, but living in a penthouse is also an opportunity only those of higher status can get, and his darling chibi husband is with him in this penthouse so all is well
Dazai grab the handle and the door opened automatically for him, he entered the penthouse smelling a fresh brew of coffee— Chuuya must've been home earlier, "I'm home" Dazai said as he removed his shoes and hang his coat at it's designated spot, Dazai entered the living room seeing Chuuya wearing one of his dress shirt that looks too big on him— once Chuuya noticed Dazai he smiled "welcome back"
Dazai immediately melted at the smile, hugged Chuuya and gave him a peck on the lips "you look pretty my darling chibi" he murmured as he buried his face in Chuuya's beautiful ginger locks
"Hm, and you stink go take a shower" Chuuya said as he pushed Dazai away and sitting back down to their sofa, Dazai slumped but still followed his husbands order/demand
Dazai entered the bathroom took a while 10 minutes shower majority of that time he spent doing his haircare routine, after he stepped out the shower he wrapped a towel below his waist— just enough to cover his uh schlong or something
Dazai went to the sink, looked at the many facial products there and decided to use the moisturizer first, he'll do the rest later with Chuuya, Dazai exited the bathroom and walked towards their bedroom— "Osamu! Someone's texting you" he heard Chuuya called him
"Be a good dog and read the text for me, I have to get change" Dazai yelled back— surely if anyone can hear them they'll think they're arguing, "HAH! Who are you calling a dog!" Either way Chuuya checked the message to see who it is

Chuuya stared at the message in front of him— WHAT THE FUCK!? First of all who is this Prettydoc and why is her named registered with a heart, second of all why is she calling HIS husband by his given name, and third of all what the fuck does she mean coming over?!
Chuuya stormed towards their bedroom to see Dazai half naked, he was only wearing a trouser with no shirt above because he was still searching for one in their cabinet, "oh Chuuya, I didn't know you were the type to barge in on me changing~" Dazai teased but he was harshly pinned to their cabinet
Chuuya showed Dazai the message allowing Dazai to see it, "who the hell is this?!" Chuuya asked his voice getting angrier by the second, Dazai had to squint to see the name on the phone and when he saw his mouth formed an 'o' shaped
He grabbed the phone from Chuuya's hand and quickly typed out a reply before throwing it towards their bed
"Is the Chibi jealous?~" Dazai teased as he held Chuuya's chin and angle it near his lips— they were inches away from each other— if Chuuya just move a little and they'll kiss
Chuuya pulled away from Dazai and glared at him "Damn right I am" he said crossing his arms— you can see the actual confusion and hurt in his face as he thought who what woman was
Dazai held Chuuya's face and gave it a small kiss before chuckling "Chibi don't need to be jealous over my sister you know" he said smiling
"Yosano?! Now I sound like a jealous ass" Chuuya complained as he looked at Dazai like he killed his dog
Dazai chuckled once again and hugged Chuuya tightly burying his face within Chuuya's red locks
"So..are you coming over?" Chuuya asked— his question a bit muffled since he was buried in Dazai chest
Dazai let go of Chuuya, checked his phone again and smiled
"Yea, you might wanna get dress, we're meeting the family" Dazai said as he grab one of his dress shirt from the cabinet
Chuuya was silent for a while still processing his thoughts
"wait! We're meeting them?! Right now?!" Chuuya yelled as he looked at Dazai— grabbed his shoulder and shook him
"Now now chibi, get dressed or we'll be late for family dinner"
"Hold on! This is the first time I'm meeting your family damnit"
Chuuya said as he rapidly changed into a more presentable look— he needs to impress Dazai's parents— yes him and Dazai have been dating since 16 but they broke up when Dazai left the mafia then they got together again when they were 21— yes Chuuya is also confused about their relationship
"Don't panic my dear chibi, they'll love you" Dazai reassured him as he cupped Chuuya's face and gave him another kiss
Chuuya sighs melting into the kiss and hugging Dazai— Arahabaki he really loves Dazai with all his heart and soul
Dazai and Chuuya walked together to go to Chuuya's car in the parking area— Dazai was in turn for driving for today so Dazai got into the driver's seat— of course before he opened the passenger seat for Chuuya like he always does when he drive
When Dazai finally started the car Chuuya grabbed his hand
"Wait 'Samu, do you have other siblings? Or is it just that Doctor, you only told me about her" Chuuya said as he looked at Dazai
Dazai stopped his movement seemingly thinking for a while— Chuuya looked at Dazai in disbelief
"You seriously don't know how many siblings you have?" Chuuya asked as he stared at Dazai
Dazai sighed and looked at Chuuya
"There's 5 of us, eldest is 26, 2nd child 25, middle— which is me 22, 4th child 15 and youngest 13" Dazai said as he looked at Chuuya with a smile
Chuuya remain speechless as Dazai started the car and headed off to their family house
"Holy- 'Samu you have one big family" Chuuya said still bewildered by the new favorite
"We're all adopted though- but still we love each other as family— Dad's words" Dazai said as he focused on the road
While keeping his eyes on the road, Dazai asked Chuuya to open his phone and go through his photos— a confused Chuuya still did it with no hesitation went red when he saw how many pictures of him was on Dazai's phone
Dazai took the liberty to open his album to go the siblings one, where he introduced each and every single one of his siblings to Chuuya so he won't be lost when they get there
Chuuya was now more bewildered— okay he's getting a lot of surprises today, he does know that Yosano was adopted since her and Dazai don't look alike, but all of Dazai and his siblings being adopted is more wow— their parents must be nice people
Then suddenly Chuuya remembered something— they should give Dazai's family a gift!!
"Chuuya, angel, don't worry about it, there's gift in the backseat"
Chuuya smiled— ah Dazai noticed— god his lover is literally perfect he love him so much
It was few minutes drive to get to the family house— a good 10 minutes away from their penthouse
Chuuya expected a good house— maybe even bigger than the usual family house in Yokohama since there's a lot of children he definitely did not expect a mansion— he knew Dazai was rich but he didn't know his family was also super mega rich
The gate to the mansion open when they saw who was driving the car— Dazai didn't waste a single second to drive in and only stopped when they reached the entrance of the mansion
Dazai got out then opening the passenger door for Chuuya— as soon as Dazai stepped out of the vehicle a person went near them, Dazai handed him the key and drove the car towards the driveway (probably)
The man looked like a mafia grunt but Chuuya ignored that and went with Dazai inside as he rudel pushed open the huge door
Chuuya heard a loud shriek when Dazai opened the front door, the sound surely came from upstairs if Chuuya heard it correctly
Then suddenly is that Elise?! ran down the stairs wearing a new red dress that flows with her as she ran towards them
He noticed that Elise was running towards them and was about to stop her from touching Dazai 'cause she'll dissolve but when Elise finally hugged Dazai she didn't disappear she was still there hugging Dazai
Chuuya stared at the two of them confused then suddenly remembered that Dazai have that ability canceling bracelet
"Dazai-nni!! Come on, let's go to the kitchen where we're making cake!!" Elise said as she tried to drag Dazai towards the kitchen
"Won't you say hi to our guest Elise-chan?" Dazai asked as he looked at her
Elise stopped and looked behind Dazai to see oh— it's Chuuya!
"Chuuya-nni! I didn't know you were coming" Elise said as she ran towards the mafioso to give him a hug
"Trust me, I didn't know too" Chuuya said as he patted Elise's hair and looked at Dazai
As soon as Elise was done hugging the both of them, she dragged them towards the kitchen that was located upstairs? Okay Kinsa confused but thankfully Dazai explained— it's the kitchen where he and his siblings cook since they don't want to make a mess in the main kitchen— more like they're parents though cause they got scolded when Dazai and his siblings almost burnt down the kitchen
Dazai and his family seems to be very close with each other and that's a good thing— from what Chuuya remembered Dazai was raised by his grandparents and his grandfather was a bitch, Dazai was raised by his grandparents because apparently his father killed his mother and then himself right in front of Dazai. Oh and Dazai used to have an older sister— biological sister, she died because of an accident just a month after their parents passed
They made their way to the kitchen and Chuuya can hear a few laughter from the people inside— real big happy family really
When they reached the kitchen, Yosano was already there helping Yumeno to decorate the newly baked cookies— very scary cookies because the gingerbread man's head was cut off from the body
"Yo, Mr. Fancy hat is here" Yosano said when she saw the three entering the room
Yumeno being the menace that he is break another gingerbread man and ran to Chuuya and Dazai hugging them both in their small arms
Chuuya crouched down and gave Yumeno's cheek a small squeeze before urging them to go back to decorating cookies
They started to make conversations from their missions, friends, up until their personal life which resulted to Chuuya and Yosano becoming best buds
"Oh right, where's Hirai?" Dazai asked as he took another taste of the icing
"He said he's bringing his lover as well, you're not the only one bringing your future husband you know" Yosano answered
Dazai continued to eat the icing and looked at Yosano
"Everyone already knows about his relationship" Dazai commented
"Yea, not like no one in the family knows your relationship"
Then the two of them continued to bicker like kids— Chuuya looked at them smiled, Osamu looks so happy
"Excuse me, Dazai-dono Master has arrived in the front gate" a servant announced from the outside of the door
Each one of them quickly grab a tray of cookies and brought it downstairs where the dinner room should be
Chuuya having 5 tray of cookies while using his ability followed them to where they're going and when they got there Ranpo was already there sitting down at one of the seat with his boyfriend next to him
Chuuya and Dazai went to the main kitchen to find a plate where they can put the cookies while the other 3 sat down to their perspective seat
Dazai and Chuuya went back to the dinner room and Dazai led Chuuya towards their sit— being a gentleman and making Chuuya sit first
A few minutes later Fukuzawa and Mori entered the room with a smile on their face, especially when they landed their eyes on their children
"Ah Osamu! I'm glad you and Chuuya-kun made it" Mori said as he looked at the two of them before sitting down to their seats
Soon the foods arrived and they were served with the most delicious food they could taste ever
"Ah right Dad, about the year-end party should we do it with the PM this year?" Yosano asked as she ate the delicious curry
"That's a good idea, would you agree Rin?" Fukuzawa asked looking over his husband
"That'll be a good idea, don't you think so Chuuya-kun?" Mori asked the mafioso
Chuuya jerked up not expecting his opinion to be needed in the conversation
"Ah yes, it would be a great way to somehow strengthen the truce more, boss" Chuuya answered with a little smile on his boss
"Oh please, address me as Mori or Ougai when we're no at work, you're Osamu's soon to be husband anyway, same goes to you Edgar-san" Mori announced
All of them smiled— this won't be so bad after all, everything's is just great
The family dinner went well, and they've all agreed that they can spend Christmas with them
They did have the time to do a secret santa so they did that
They decided to sleep in the mansion and to go out together at the morning to shop some presents and ugly matching sweater because that's what's fun
The next morning they all went out using the family van so they can all fit together
Once in the mall they were ready to spend their credit card till there's nothing left of it
It took them all 3 hours to finish their shopping Dazai and Chuuya took the longest shopping trip— there is a lot of bags a total of 12 shopping bags courtesy of Elise having 4
They all went back to the mansion to decorate the whole place— sure they can easily ask the workers to decorate for them but what the fun in that
After decorating they all wore their matching sweater together and decided they'll finally get to eat
And eating it was, there was a lot of food, and a lot of delicious desert courtesy of Dazai for making half of them
When it was finally time for an exchange gift everything was very² fun
They started with Chuuya first and he got a screaming eagle Cabernet 1992 wine, you can clearly see the happiness in his eyes and he looks so happy
Poe opened his and he got an Aurora fountain pen and a very good moleskine quality notebook for him to write his idea down, Poe was indeed happy very happy with his gift because he then bragged about it to Ranpo
Fukuzawa received a very cute plushy of a cat which was 6ft long and a new pair of yukata and also a Yamazaki whiskey
Yosano got a thick book about all the flower that once existed and still existing flowers in the world(does not exist irl), with a book all about flower language and finally a new set of doctors equipment
Mori got a theory of everything book, a new set of equipment—scalpels mostly and he also got a yukata which is something Mori don't wear
Yumeno got a new teddy bear, a lot.of clothes, a set of coloring materials and drawing materials and a few bandages with silly drawings on them
Dazai got a lot of bandages, also a Yamazaki whiskey like Fukuzawa, a cooking book and a certain picture of a special someone
Ranpo got a coupon for a very famous candy store factory, a few ramune coupon, a LOT of books and he also got a very expensive looking glasses
Elise got a lot of dresses,. coloring materials and also a make-up kit— she's definitely gonna use that on Mori or Dazai
Everyone celebrated it happily— while Dazai was hanging an ornament that looks like him on the Christmas tree he felt a thug on his sweater and saw Chuuya
Chuuya didn't say anything just pointed above them, and he can see a familiar red glow produce by Chuuya's ability that's holding a mistletoe
Dazai couldn't stop himself and laughed before pulling Chuuya towards him— leaning in closely as he kissed Chuuya with a smile on his lip, the kiss was warm and sweet— most definitely a loving sweet kiss
"Merry Christmas, angel"
