Chapter Text

Matt POV:

I lean on the wall in the alleyway, catching my breath. I look around, making sure no one saw me.

"Good, no one is here." I said to myself.

I could hear the sirens. I lie there on the floor, gutted like a fish. I could hear Jason and the cops talking, how they think I'm dead. I look over to the kitchen cabinet, I spot a green furry and lifelike rabbit. The same rabbit that came out of me, that *killed* me. I wasn't sure what to do. Maybe...I need to escape. I don't want to die. Although, what happened to me? Did I already die? One thing's for sure, I need to get out of here.

As the cops were busy, I discreetly crawl my way through the door, making sure no one notices.

Almost there..

I made it in front of the door.

Just a little more..

I reach over time the door handle.

There.

The door of the apartment made a loud creaking noise, then I ran.

I ran fast, making sure no one spotted me, although I'm sure they already noticed I was gone. I kept my pace, not sure where I was going.

Maybe staying dead was a better idea? I don't wanna die though...yeah nevermind.

I take a deep breath, or was it a breath? Do dead people breathe? Am I dead? I don't know...I seem to still be alive-ish. I sit down on the ground of the alleyway, hoping no one finds me here.

"What happened to me?" I thought to myself before I was interrupted by a soft grip on my right arm. I turn over to look at it.

The mini springtrap was gripping my arm like it was attached. It had followed me.

"Let go of me." I commanded it. I try to push it off, but it didn't seem to budge. It kept holding onto me as if it's life depended on it.

"Daddy" the green rabbit said. It was all it could say.

I sigh, deciding to pick it up. "What the fuck are you?" I ask to it. It kept calling me daddy.

Weird.

I was tempted to leave it here, it was the cause of my death, it wasn't even supposed to BE here for fucks sake. Although, it seemed harmless, I think. All it did was grip my arm as it kept happily calling me "daddy".

I don't think I could just leave it here. It was just helpless, it was a baby(?) for goodness sake. And based on what had happened, I technically gave birth to it...I think.

I sigh. "Guess I'm a parent now...yay." It happily jumped onto my arms, like a child would to their parent.

I wait for nightfall so I would be able to roam around without a lot of people seeing me- us.

"What did I get myself into.." I muttered, holding onto my newly made non-natural child.

As I wait, I start to wonder. Are there other people like me?

...

7:02 pm. The sky is dark, time to move.

I pick up baby(?) Springtrap, then checked the streets. No one was out but a few passing cars. I grab a ripped shirt from the trash bin, then used it to cover my stomach from the obvious opening.

"Gross...this will have to do." I said as I finish tying it around my stomach. I start to walk out the alley.

Thank goodness there were barely any people here. I start to walk, then I pause.

Where am I going exactly?

I can't go back to the apartment for obvious reasons, so where to?

I start to walk to somewhere random, anywhere that isn't there. I kept brainstorming until I heard someone talking.

I stop, then looked over to my side. I was in front of the dump. What was happening there?

I look over the fence.

Chapter Text

Millie POV:

"Stupid bear."

The clouds are dark.

"Stupid death."

The cars pass by.

"Stupid wish."

I muttered to myself as I cradle back and forth, sitting in the dump, where I was now living in.

"Aww, cheer up Silly Millie!"

With the most annoying robot alive. Dead. Whatever it is. All I know, is that it killed me. If only I knew, maybe this wouldn't have happened...but would it have? I wished for death, but not like this. Oh how wrong i was.

"Don't be so hard on me Lambchop! You got what you wanted, didn't yah?" The robot bear continued. If I could, I'd put it on mute. It's been a month or so since I've died. I can't remember how long it's been..

I look up to the sky, the bright moon shining this place as it's only light source. I start to reminisce about last Christmas. I still remember the shack. The calling for my name. The feeling of the metal slicing through my neck. The screams of my family as they saw..

"You don't get to talk." I told him back, he let out an exaggerated sigh, "Whyyyy not?" He replied back. I shoot him a glare, "I was-"

I was interrupted by footsteps coming this way. Who could be here, in a dump?

"Hey, hey Lambchop, you hear that?" The bear asked. I nod, deciding to check out the footsteps.

I float over the fence, no one was there.
Weird.
I could have sworn I head something. Even the bear heard it.

"Maybe it was just an animal.." I said to myself. I start to remember my cat. I miss her, I miss grandpa, my parents..

A loud thump was heard near us. Me and the bear looked over to see.

"Oww.." The person groaned in pain, he landed on top of a broken car, lucky him. A small creature crawled out under him, it looked like a green, furry and small rabbit. Were there always green rabbits? I step closer to take a better look. The man had brown hair, he was wearing a blood stained white T-shirt and a dark dirty jacket on top of his stomach- wait, blood?

I look at the rabbit. It looked...unnerving. It was definitely not a normal rabbit. It looked like it was from a game, a 3d model of a monster rabbit. Or was that just me?

The man got up, brushing off the dirt that he fell on. The green rabbit gripped the man's leg.

"..Hello." The man said awkwardly.

I look at them curiously, are they dead like me? Before I could ask, the killer bear spoke up.

"Now what do we have here!" The bear said happily. I get in front of the bear cautiously, just in case the bear did something.

The man stepped back with the rabbit behind him.

"I heard voices from uhm...here. I'm assuming you're dead, right? Based on...that?" The man asked me, gesturing to the state I'm in. I was in the clothes I was wearing when I died, but there was an obvious slice between my head and my torso. So he IS dead as well, then what about the rabbit?

"Who are you?" I asked, backing up a bit. Surprisingly, the big bear hadn't spoken yet.

The man answered hesitantly, "Matt...wait hold on- how are you here?"

"How am I here? How are YOU here?" I said back. Although he has a point.

I don't how why I'm still here, and not on some kind of afterlife. I've been here for more than a month, yet I never questioned it.

"I have so many questions.." I muttered to myself. It then started to rain.

The man, Matt was his name, covered the rabbit with the dirty jacket, revealing a huge wound on his stomach. He covered the rabbit from the rain. "Can we talk about this where it isn't raining?" He asked. I shook my head.

"There's not really any shelter here, unless you count the cars." I reply, pointing at them.

Matt looked around, then headed to the broken car that he landed on earlier. "Ok then, come on." He said, gesturing me to follow.

I hesitantly followed him, but stood outside the car, while he and the rabbit was inside. The bear hadn't moved an inch, it just kept watching us. Maybe he is just as shocked as I am? Quite unlikely, but could be..

"Now.." Matt began, "Do you know why we're still here? And not on some afterlife like heaven or hell?" He asked. I just shook my head.

"I don't know.." I reply, "I've been here for a month, attached to that annoying piece of metal." I point at the big bear. It had walked up to us while Matt hadn't noticed.

"Now isn't that rude Cupcake!" The robot said, pretending to be offended. "I only gave you what you wished for, you can't blame me!"

I hate this bear so much.

Matt looked confused, "Wish?"

I sigh, not wanting to explain my death. "It's not important." I said to him. "Let's talk about something else, something like, I don't know, any idea how we're here?" Matt just shrugged.

"I'd tell yah if I knew as well, kid." He replied. So much for answers.

He then got up, carrying the green rabbit, "I think I'm gonna go...nice meeting you ghost girl and...giant robot." He said cautiously to the bear, backing up a bit from it.

"Funtime Freddy! And this little lady is Millie!" the bear answered. The rain was starting to slow down.

"Ok...well uh, bye." The man started to leave, but a metal paw stopped him.

"Now now, don't just leave yet!" The bear exclaimed. "Why don't you take us with you?"

"What?" Me and Matt said simultaneously. What is this bear thinking?

"Look, I've- WE'VE been here for more than a month," the bear began, "and I think It'd be fun if we, I don't knoww...leave this place we call a dump?" The bear gestured at the place.

The green rabbit hugged onto Matt's leg, it seemed scared of the bear, I wouldn't blame it.

"I'm not so sure.." The man rubbed the back of his neck, debating on whether to bring us or not. "Why should I take you guys with me? You don't even know where I'm going. I don't know where I'll be going."

I spoke up, "Anywhere will be ok." Matt looked at me in confusion, Freddy looked surprised. "Look, I don't want to be in this dump any longer. I want to leave this place, I don't care where we go, as long as it's not here." I give him a pleading look, "Please."

Matt considered it, then sighed, "Fine. You and the bear can come." He finally accepted, "But if you do any funny business then I will- well-" he coughed, "Just don't do anything to us, ok?"

I nod, the bear looked pleased.

"Ok! Where to next?"

Chapter Text

3rd Person POV:

8:56 pm.

"Ok, where are we now exactly?" Millie asked, tired from walking.

They were standing in front of an old restaurant. It looks empty and abandoned.

"You think I know?" Matt responded, "I told you guys I didn't know where we were going, and now we're here."

Mini springtrap came in front, "In! In!" It said, pulling on Matt's shirt, trying to pull him inside.

"Why did we let the abnormal green rabbit lead again?" Funtime Freddy asked, the rabbit spat it's tongue at him, "Hey-! That wasn't very nice you little blob!" The bear complained, but Millie shut him up.

"Ok both of you shut up, you both already had 3 arguments on the way here. I'm surprised we didn't get caught, I swear if you two cause another argument, I'm bringing you back to the dump." She threatened, annoyed at the two's fight. The rabbit hid behind Matt, looking upset at the command.

"Look, the kid seemed to want us to go here," Matt pointed out, "plus, we wouldn't know where to go either way, so, might as well follow the kid while avoiding getting caught. And this seems like a good place to do that." He steps in front of them.

He tried to open the door, "It won't budge." He looked at the rabbit, "Why do you want us to go in here exactly?" He asked it.

"In!" It repeated. Matt sighed, "I don't think this kid knows how to talk in more than two words." He looked back at the door, "I guess we gotta go in? I don't think this kid would let us not go in anyway."

Millie nodded, "Seems like a...nice place to take shelter for a while?" She shrugged, unsure.

"Let's try to find a way in then!" The bear said excitedly, roaming off to the side of the place. Millie followed along, just in case the bear did something else.

Matt went in the opposite direction, looking for a way in as well. The place looked horrible. It was definitely some kind of restaurant, just abandoned and ruined.

"Re y's Pi z ia." Millie muttered, reading the sign. It was covered in moss and most of its letters were torn down. "How lovely..." A loud yell was heard to her right, "I found it!"

The rabbit ran over to the voice, excited. Matt and Millie followed along.

"Check this out!" The bear said, his robotic paws pointed towards a medium-sized hole. "Now we can get in!"

Millie stared at the hole, "Well, shall we go-"

"YAHOO!!" The rabbit jumped into the hole happily.

"Wait don't-" Matt sighed, "children." he muttered, heading inside the hole as well. Millie followed after him, but the bear got stuck.

"Uhh...a little help?" He tried shaking through, causing an unpleasant sound of scratching metal. Millie wanted to leave him be, but the noise was annoying, "Hold on, hold on-" she tried to pull him inside.

Matt looked around the place. It was dark on the inside, there were broken pipes still dripping of water, the floor was full of cracks, and walls growing of moss. "I'm starting to regret getting dragged here." he commented. The rabbit had been silent since they went inside.

The green rabbit's ear pointed up, "Daddy!" It pulled on Matt's shirt, then pointed into the distance. It let go of his shirt, then ran to the direction it pointed at.

"What was that about?" Millie asked, next to her was Funtime Freddy, whose face was planted on the floor, successfully unstuck.

Matt shrugged, "Who knows what's in that kid's head."

“Well, it’s YOUR child, kinda, I thought parents were supposed to know what their child thinks of feels or something like that.” Millie protested.

"I'm a father, not a psychic."

"Alright, Fair enough."

A loud clang was heard from the rabbit's direction. "Daddy!" The green rabbit ran towards Matt, scared.

"Bear!" The green rabbit pointed at its arm, "Red!"

"How does this newly born unnatural rabbit know what a color is?" Freddy commented, getting up from the floor.

"Like you said, unnatural." Matt kneeled down to the rabbit, "What did you see?"

.

Devon POV:

"Flip, flip." I kept playing with the infinity cube. I look over at the wall, a new line marks a new day. "..." I keep fidgeting with the cube.

It's been over 3 or 4 months possibly and 26 days since I've stayed here. Since I've been killed. "Asshole.." I muttered, I remember that day very well.

I look over at the golden bear, "...Don't look at me like that." I said to the bear, even though it wasn't even alive in the first place.

I start to float around the place. Perks of being a ghost, you don't have to walk.

I've roamed around this entire building a lot, sometimes the place updates such as the moss growing further, the walls and floors decaying further, the roof leaking more, but other than that, it was all the same.

"Hehe!"

What was that?

I float to the ceiling, trying to spot what made that laugh.

"Ow!"

I spot a...green rabbit? Is there such this as a green rabbit?

I take a closer look, it didn't look like a regular rabbit, it looked like a mascot...is it a mascot? Well, whatever it was, what was it doing here?

"Hello?" I ask it, the rabbit looked upward, it's eyes widened when it say me, it was definitely not a rabbit, it doesn't look like a mascot either..

I float down towards it, "What are you doing here?"

It started to back up, scared. It looked at my arm, "R- red!" It pointed at it.

"Well, yes, it is red, now who-" in a panic, the green rabbit ran away, "Wait- come back here!" I chase after it.

"Hey! Don't leave just yet!" I ran into the hallway, but the rabbit was no where to be seen. "Where the fuck did it go..?"

I roam around the halls, trying to spot the rabbit, "Come on, I won't hurt you!" I called out.

"..psychic"

I heard a voice, "Who the-..." I start to follow the voice.

I kept following the voice, "Now where is it.." I mumbled before going through the main dining room.

"Bear! Red!" I spotted the green rabbit, along with two other people, and a...robot bear?

I float to the ceiling, making sure I don't get spotted, "Now who are you guys.." I whispered to myself.

"What did you see?" The man said, he looked to be in his 30s maybe, beside him was a girl, who looked to be in her goth phase maybe?

The man picked up the green rabbit, "Calm down there buddy.." He said to it.

The green rabbit looked up, scared, "U- up!" It pointed towards me. The other three looked up.

"...Hi."

Chapter Text

3rd Person POV:

9:43 pm

"I must say, out of the three of you, you or Matthew here had the most painful experience! " The bear exclaimed, amused by Devon's story.

Devon had explained vaguely about how he ended up a ghost, although compared to the other two ghosts, it was still noticeable about how gruesome it was. I mean, imagine getting your hand stuck in something while you bleed to death?

"Does this bear always find amusement in shit like this?" Devon asked, he already didn't like the bear due to the endless questions it kept asking about deeper details of his death.

"Language. And based on Millie's story, I'll assume yes." Matt said, covering the little rabbit's ears. he had been putting it to sleep ever since Devon showed up, it was a but scared of him. Surprisingly, he's becoming more of a father to it, which is a contrast to how he was when he was alive.

Millie nodded at his statement, "It's a killing machine, I'm just used to it at this point."

Devon nodded, then looked back at the rabbit, "Sorry for uhm, scaring your...pet."

"It's fine." Matt shrugged it off, "So...I'm still confused about why the kid brought us here."

"Maybe it can sense ghosts! It would make sense on why it wanted to come here specifically considering it's only been alive for a few hours and has never been here before." The bear concluded, it wasn't a bad theory.

"That would make sense...I'm surprised it was able to sense you all the way from the dump to here." Millie looked back at Devon, "Maybe you're the only other ghost in this town."

Matt got up, "Sorry to interrupt but we need to find an ACTUAL place to stay for a while."

"Why not just stay here?" Millie protested, "We're hidden anyway, no one will find us."

"I dunno if you guys noticed, but little greeny here-" Matt gestures to the sleeping rabbit, "needs to eat. On our way here, it ate a bird on a branch."

"That'd explain the feathers.." Millie mumbled to herself.

"And the nearest gas station or anything that can be non-contaminated and edible is about two hours away. So we need to move. Plus-" Matt pointed at some bugs and rats from the corner of the room they were in, "this place is infested."

Devon nodded, "Yeah I uhm, wouldn't recommend it here." He agreed with Matt, although his voice sounded a bit nervous.

"Aww, you care about the little blob!" Funtime Freddy said happily, "And I have to agree as well, this place is not my cup of tea. Not that I can drink any."

"Ok...guess we're moving." Millie got up as well.

"Can I come with?" Devon asked, "Please?"

Matt looked at Millie, "Well?" He asked her, Millie sighed, "Why do I have to decide? Ugh...I don't mind anyway, he can come."

Devon perked up, "Yes! I mean- thanks. I really don't like it here. I promise I'll help you guys."

"It is quite lonely here, I'm surprised you didn't start talking to yourself." Matt gently carried the green rabbit. Devon chuckled, a bit nervously, "Yep...lonely."

Funtime Freddy looked at him, "Is it though?" He asked, a bit suspicious. Devon just nodded, "Yep. Let's just go now. Where though?"

Matt shrugged, walking out of the place, then got an idea, "Funtime, is there a chance you can manage to "fix" up some wires of a car?"

Freddy, walking behind him, seemed to get what he was saying, "Leave it to the mighty Freddy! I might be able to." Millie looked back at both of them, "Sorry, what are you two planning?"

"Remember those cars back at the dump?" Millie seemed to get the idea, "Can you drive?" Matt nodded.

"Alright, let's go get ourselves a car." Devon smiled slightly, then looked back at the abandoned pizzeria, "...so long, goldie."

"What was that?" Millie looked back at him. Devon shook his head, "Nothing. Let's just go."

The 4 of them continued to walk back to the dump, on the hunt for somewhere to stay.

...

(???) POV:

The blond came back to the pizzeria, clearly confused, "Where is he?" He asked to himself, looking each room in the place, but there was no sign of him.

"For fucks sake, don't tell me he left me here..." The blond grumbled, clearly annoyed. "I'm sure he'll come back! He wouldn't have anyone else to talk to!" He remained optimistic, although there was a hint of doubt on his voice.

"...Where is he?" He then noticed some green fur on the floor of one of the rooms.

"Hm?" He picked it up, examining it, "...Someone else was here.."

He dropped the fur, then sighed, "Left without telling me, of course. He's still mad about the death, why am I not surprised.."

The blond looked around, "Now what am I supposed to do.."

...

3rd Person POV:

10:39 pm

"Pick a car, any car!" The bear exclaimed, they arrived back at the dump.

The rabbit was awake now, looking around at each car, "Why don't you pick one, little blob! All of them are equally rusty anyway!" Freddy told it. The rabbit got down from Matt's arms, running off to pick a car.

"So, this is where you lived for a month?" Devon asked Millie, looking around at all the junk.

Millie nodded, "The bear was brought here, and I'm attached to it, unwillingly, so I had to stay here."

The rabbit came back, dragging Matt along, "Car!" It said happily, Matt followed it, then the rest followed along.

They stop in front of a blue and purple van. It was rusty but it looked surprisingly decent for a car on the junk.

"Alright Fred," Matt looked at the bear, "Do your magic."

Chapter Text

3rd Person POV:

12:13 am

"I'm still surprised this wreck still has gas. " Millie commented, looking out the window of the van they technically stole, "But then again, who knows what else could happen considering this...whole thing that's happening." She gestured to herself, and then to Matt, who was driving the van. She was seated next to him in the front, holding a map they also technically stole.

"We're gonna need to stop at the next station, this thing is barely holding on. I'm even surprised this thing lasted about two hours." He gestured to the fuel gauge, "How far away is that?"

Millie looked at the map, "Hmm...Just keep going straight." Matt nodded, continuing to drive in that direction.

Millie looked to the back of the van, "You guys ok back there?" She asked the rest of the three.

"We're going alright Cupcake, but this little blob won't choose a name!" Funtime Freddy gestured to the rabbit. He and Devon had been listing off names to it for the past 20 or so minutes. It was mostly Matt's request since he was getting tired of calling it "Tiny" or "Rabbit".

"Greenie?" The rabbit shook its head. Devon sighed, "This is taking forever...Sylvester?" It shook it's head again, "Clover, Palm, Lettuce, Asparagus..."

"Resorting to green foods...of course...do you even know what an asparagus is?" Millie asked him, Devon shook his head, "Can't recall. Hmm.."

"Basil, Hopps, Cricket, Ivy..." The rabbit still hasn't picked one, "Kelly?" Freddy chimed in, Devon immediately shook his head, "No." He said quickly, Freddy looked at him, confused, "Why not?"

"Just not that one...it doesn't seem to like it anyway." Devon looked back at the rabbit, "Ok now where was I.."

"Kelly the name of an ex, Devie?" Freddy said cheekily, "You can tell me Smallfry, I promise not to tell anyone!" Devon shook his head, annoyed at him, "Not an ex, it's nothing important anyway. Now where was I..."

Millie looked back to the front, noticing the upcoming gas station, a thought popped into her head, "Do we even have money?" Matt nodded, "I snuck back to grab some in my apartment while Funtimes was fixing up the wires of this thing." He explained

Millie raised an eyebrow, "Is that why you looked panicked when you came running back from who knows where?" Matt rolled his eyes at her statement, "What do you think?"

He parked the van next to the fuel dispenser, "We're gonna need to cover up 'cause..." He gestured to his bloody stomach, it was mostly dry by now, "This...and that," He pointed at Millie's sliced neck, "And that. " He gestured to Devon's dried up bloody chopped arm.

Millie grabbed an old orange handkerchief she found in the compartment area of the car, wrapping it around her neck, "Not like it can get infected anyway..." She muttered to herself.

Matt grabbed a jacket he found back at the dump, buttoning it up to cover his stomach, "All good?"

Devon stayed seated, "I'll just stay here. I don't know how exactly I can cover this armless arm." He waved the arm, "I'll just watch over these two."

"Alright..." Matt opened the van door, "Let's go." He and Millie got off the van, leaving Devon, Freddy and soon-to-be-named rabbit inside.

"...So, back to name finding."

...

(With Matt and Millie)

Matt grabs the nozzle from the fuel dispenser, "Why don't you go find some food for the kid and for us." Matt requested, "I'll just be here getting us back to full tank."

Millie looked at him confusedly, "For us? I'm pretty sure ghosts can't eat." Matt shook his head, "Yes we can. I tried earlier while grabbing my wallet. Although we probably don't actually need to, but who's going to turn down a tasty snack?" He explained, handing her some of the money from his wallet.

"Now when did you taste- nevermind...any suggestions on what to get for the kid?" She asked as she took the money from him, "It'll eat anything," He tells her, "it doesn't mind." He opened the fuel tank, "Just get me like some chips or noodles, been a while since I've tasted that."

"I thought you died yesterday-"

"Just get fuckin going. Go ask Devon if he'd like anything as well." He continued to pump some gas into the car.

"Chips as well! And maybe something sugary, thanks!" Devon yelled from the window near them, which was open, most likely the entire time.

Millie sighed, "Alright alright...close the damn window before someone sees a kid without an arm and a giant rusty pink bear." Millie went inside the station, grabbing a basket.

...

(With Matt)

He impatiently waited for the fuel tank to fill up enough, he tapped his foot repeatedly on the ground while waiting.

"This is taking fucking forever..." He muttered to himself, looking around the area. The five of them were just almost out the city. They didn't exactly know where they were going, they just wanted to find somewhere to stay until they can figure out why they're still somewhat here.

As much as they're ghosts, floating takes the same amount of energy as walking. Millie and Devon weren't anything like the ghosts in movies. They didn't have haunting powers or anything, they just watch and roam around, and also touch things, which most ghosts in movies couldn't do. And for all he knows, Matt isn't even a ghost exactly. He was just dead. Like a zombie. He knows he's dead because he can't even feel his heartbeat anymore, and considering the fact he lost gallons of blood because of a gaping hole on his stomach, which lead to his death.

"I don't fuckin' deserve this." He muttered to himself, although he DID cut his stomach, it was the rabbit that made him cut it open. He still didn't understand how it got in there, but he just knows the rabbit didn't do it intentionally. He's pretty sure it doesn't even know it's a rabbit, nor does it know what happened when it came out of him. But that begs the question, how did it even happen in the first place?

He pulls out the fuel nozzle from the fuel tank, "Finally." He places the nozzle back, then spots a woman near him, looking at him strangely.

"Ahem, miss, but it's quite rude to stare at people." He told her as he closed the fuel tank door. The woman immediately looks away, embarrassed that she'd been caught, "Sorry, it's just that, I couldn't help but notice the state of your van..." She pointed out.

Matt sighed, "It's not mine. It's...just a long story." He put on a smile, "I'm Matt, what's your name?" He asked her. The girl smiled back, "Amelia. What brings you to this area? Planning a roadtrip?"

Matt nodded, "You could say that."

...

(With Millie)

A few minutes had passed, the basket she'd been holding was filled with some chips, instant noodles, cookies and biscuits (both vegan and regular), crackers, and some marshmallows. She'd thought the rabbit would like some.

She was surprised Matt gave her more than enough money, she wondered what his job was before he died, it must have been a good one. She was standing by the candy isle. Devon had requested something sugary, maybe some chocolate will do.

"Well hello!" A stranger came up to her, she looked at him with annoyance, she didn't want to be bothered right now.

"May I help you?" She asked him with a cold tone, placing some chocolate covered wafers in the basket she was holding.

The stranger coughed, "You see, I was trying to find something sweet to fit my taste here in the candy isle, and well-" He leaned against the shelf, trying to act cool, "you might just be sweet enough for me~"

If Millie could barf, she'd probably do just that right now. She didn't respond to his gosh awful flirting, and walked away, heading to the cashier to pay for the stuff.

"Now hold on a second!" The stranger followed her, "Cmon, it wasn't that bad! You gotta appreciate the effort though, am I right? Plus, for a goth chick, you are some eye candy, ey?"

She shot him a cold glare, "Please leave me alone." She looked back at the cashier, waiting for all of the items to scan.

"Now don't be like that-" he placed a hand on her shoulder, "Why don't I try another line ey? Would that make it better-"

She slapped his hand off her, "Don't touch me." The cashier finished scanning her items, "This guy bothering you Ma'am?" He asked her while he puts the items in some plastic bags.

She pays for the stuff, "It's nothing, I was just leaving now anyway." She took the spare change, then grabbed the bags, walking out the convenience store.

"This is why I hate going to places like this..." She muttered, spotting Matt in the distance.

...

(Back with Matt)

The two had been talking and flirting back and forth, "You are quite a funny one, Amelia. I never asked, what's a lovely lady like you doing out here anyway?" He asked, winking at her.

Amelia blushed at the gesture, "Just passing by, I was going on a roadtrip as well." She told him, "Now isn't that a coincidence?" Matt commented, leaning against the van.

"Ahem." Millie came up to them, holding the bags of food, "I'm back."

Matt gestured for her to go inside, Millie just nodded, heading inside the van. "Who was that?" Amelia asked him curiously, "Just an uhm...an acquaintance. Don't mind her, although we do have to get going now." He told her, looking a bit bummed out.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, Amelia." He grabbed her hand, kissing the back of it, "Until next time."

Amelia blushed at the action, she was about to say something until someone else shows up, introducing himself.

"I'm back my dear!" The man said happily, walking up to Amelia's side, "I didn't leave you lonely for too long right?" He asked her, Amelia nodded, "No, no you didn't..." She said nervously, looking back at Matt, who looked confused.

"I'm sorry, who are you, sir?" Matt asked the man, who looked back at him, "Well pardon me for not introducing myself, I am Peter, and I've seen you've met my girlfriend, Amelia. It's nice to know she'd made a new friend." The man said happily.

"I'm sorry, what now?"

Notes:

Matt is about to make some bad decisions.

Seems about right.

Thank you for reading!

Chapter 6: What a Roadtrip

Summary:

Matthew Alexander Reynolds, you never fail to do something stupid.

But hey, Tiny Rabbit has a name now!

Its-

Notes:

Yes, I gave Matt a middle name, like Devon. I figured I'd give him one since I have a list of names here and I just have to use them.

Enjoy!

Chapter Text

(With Millie and Devon)

1:34 am

"What is he doing?" Devon asked, looking at Matt from the window. Millie shook her head, "I'll say something stupid." She dropped the plastic bags down on the floor in front of them, "Take your pick."

Devon scavenged the bag, then thought of something, "Wait a minute- quick question, how can they see you? We're ghosts, I can get that they can see Matt since, pretty sure we all agreed that he's a zombie." He muttered out the last part, "But how come they see you?"

Millie grabbed a package biscuit, grabbing a piece, "The longer I stay dead on this world, the more visible I become to other people who aren't dead." She explained, "I really don't understand how, but it's just like that. I found out after about a few months."

"I thought you've been dead *for* a month." He raised his eyebrow, Funtime Freddy chimed in, "She's been dead for almost a year! I was going to correct her when she said 'a month', but I forgot." Freddy shrugged it off, then handed the tiny rabbit a bag of marshmallows that Millie bought.

Devon looked at him dumbfounded, "Almost a year?...damn. And I thought I was longer dead ghost than both of you." Millie nodded, watching as he grabbed a biscuit from the pack, then took a piece of marshmallow from the rabbit, "So after a month or so, a ghost like us can become visible to alive people. That makes sense when you mentioned the disguises then."

Millie sat down next to the driver’s seat, snacking on the biscuit, "You look dead without the handkerchief." Devon commented, taking a bite of the biscuit, "It's obvious you've been decapitated."

"Why thank you! I did my best to slice it through so cleanly!" Millie rolled her eyes at both at them, questioning why she’s there again, "Whatever..." She muttered quietly. The snack she'd been eating wasn't bad, it'd been a while since she'd tasted food in general, it felt nice.

"Sugar!" The rabbit said happily, munching on the marshmallows. "It's learning more words, only a matter of time before it starts swearing." Devon pointed out, laughing slightly at his own joke.

"Matt would kill you." Devon shrugged, "He swears as well, don't see anything wrong with that." He grabbed another marshmallow, "We finally gave it a name by the way."

"Really? It finally chose one, about time." Millie finished the biscuit she was eating, then looked back at them, she was curious, "What’s its name?"

"Its name is-“

Matt came rushing in the van, quickly starting it. "Uh…You ok there, Matt?" Devon asked, noticing the panicked look on his face.

"Just uhm...I hope none of you have motion sickness." Matt said to them, then started to drive. Fast.

...

(Earlier with Matt)

"Is that so...I didn't know Amelia here had a boyfriend." Matt commented, crossing his arms.  Peter nodded, "Sometimes I can't believe it either. I'm just that lucky to meet a girl like her, ain't that right, dear?" Peter held her close, although Amelia looked nervous.

"Hehe..yeah.." She mumbled quietly. Matt hummed in agreement, "Very lucky...say uh, are you her first boyfriend perhaps?" He asked. Peter looked at him confusedly, "Weird question, but not really..." He responded.

"Hm. Makes sense on how...skilled she is at flirting." Matt commented, looking around the area, a tiny smirk on his face.

Peter looked confused, "I'm sorry?" He raised his tone a bit, "What are you implying exactly?" Amelia looked back at Matt, "We should probably go..." She suggested, trying to pull Peter away.

"No no, don't leave just yet. Didn't you say earlier during out talk that you'd like to meet me again to somewhere more...romantic? Like the fancy Italian or Chinese restaurant you recommended me, remember that, Amelia?" Matt looked back at Peter, noticing his slightly angered look, "Oh I'm sorry, did you not know your 'girlfriend' is into that stuff? I mean you gotta know, but I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't." He insultingly commented. "You seem to be the guy who'd forget on a daily basis."

The man grabbed Matt's collar, "What the fuck did you just say to me?"

"I'm just pointing it out." Matt smirked, although he felt a bit panicked by Peter's grip, "Plus, it'd only make sense why a *player* would pick you anyway."

The man landed a punch on Matt's stomach, causing Matt to stumble back, "Guys that's enough!" Amelia yelled out, trying to stop them from fighting.

The punch made Matt's stomach bleed, *"Oh shit."* he thought. "Well, it was nice meeting you Amelia, call me ey? Maybe when your boyfriend learns that he's not an option anymore. Goodbye!" He immediately ran in the van, starting the engine quickly.

"You ok there, Matt?" Devon asked, confused by Matt's panicked demeanor, "All good...I hope none of you have motion sickness." Matt said to them, then started to drive. Fast.

He let out a sigh of relief once he no longer saw the gas station, "Hmph...better luck for me next time." He said to himself, looking in front of the road.

"What did you even do?" Millie asked, sitting back at the front seat next to him. He shrugged it off, "I got played by a player." He looked at the side mirror, noticing a car chasing them, "And her boyfriend was not happy with me."

He stepped on the gas, speeding past the speed limit, "What the heck??" Millie held on to her seat, her seat didn't have a seatbelt. Devon stumbled to the back wall of the van, "Wow, a car chase? I didn't know you had the guts to do that, Matt! Not that you have any guts anymore anyway." Freddy commented, holding the rabbit to make sure it doesn't fall over.

The rabbit seemed to be enjoying the rough ride, "Vroom!" It said happily, "I taught it that, and Matt what the heck is going on??" Devon failed to get up from the floor, so he stayed there.

"I angered a mediocre man. I don't wanna talk about it. I got it all handled." He looked back at the side mirror, the car chasing them was slowing down, "See? Got it all handled..."

"A police car is chasing us." Millie looked at the side window on her side, a police car went after them, "Most likely because of the speed limit."

"Oh for fucks sake." Matt muttered, slowing the car down to let the police catch up to them, "I'll do the talking." Millie rolled her eyes, "Not like we have anything to say about whatever chaos you caused anyway."

Matt parked the van at the side of the road, "Here we go.." He rolled down the window, "Hello, officer!" He greeted them with a smile.

Devon got back on his feet, sitting down on a seat this time, "Thank goodness it stopped..." He muttered, fastening his seatbelt. Funtime Freddy had let go of the rabbit, it jumped around happily, chanting "again!" over and over. "I can never understand this kid." Devon muttered as he watched it jump around. He looked out the window, noticing a green plastic cutout. "Huh?" He squinted his eyes, the cutout resembled that of a kid, wearing a cap and holding a flag, "Kids at Play?" He read from the flag, at the stomach of the cutout, it read "Slow!" Devon felt himself shivered, he was a bit creeped out by it, "Weird..."

He looked back at Matt, he was still talking to the police officer, "...Does he even have his license with him?

The officer asked for Matt's license, he agreed then opened his wallet.

"Shit"

It wasn't in there. He checked his wallet again, he must've grabbed his other wallet.

"Why do I even have two wallets??"

Matt looked back at the officer, a nervous grin on his face, "I'll show my license in a moment, sir, just give me-" He started the van, "a 10 second head start!" He drove the van off, ignoring the yelling of the police.

Devon's seatbelt broke, causing him to fall back to the back of the van, "Not again..." He muttered, catching the rabbit that was tumbling his way. It seemed to still be enjoying this, laughing happily as the van sped off.

“You’re running from the police??” Millie called out, clearly panicked at the situation, “What the heck is wrong with you?!” She looked at the side mirror, noticing the police driving after them.

“THE POLICE ARE WHAT??” Devon asked from the back, sitting against the “My, I must say Matthew, I figured you driving away from another citizen but, you driving away from the police? You never cease to surprise me!” Funtime Freddy said excitedly, enjoying the thrill of the chase. Devon threw a rock at him, “NOT NOW FREDDY.”

“I don’t want to talk about it, it’s fine, I’ve got it all handled!” Matt yelled back, but it was obvious he was lying to himself, “Just hold on to something, I’ve got this!” He stepped on the gas pedal, speeding faster, “We’ll get some more gas once we lose them!”

“JUST GET US OUT OF THIS DAMMIT MATTHEW, I’M NOT DYING AGAIN.” Devon yelled back, “You’re all ghosts, just phase through and you guys don’t have to go along with this-“ “I’M NOT FLOATING BACK WHEN WE’RE MILES AWAY FROM THE CLOSEST TOWN OR CITY.” Matt thought for a moment, remembering that floating still took some energy like walking, “Well played then.”

Matt noticed a fork in the road, one of them had a dead end, “This is fucking stupid…” He took that road on the left, speeding through it, “What are you doing??” Millie looked at him as if he was crazy, “Just trust me on this, hang on tight!”

As soon as they were close to the end, Matt immediately turned to the right, just almost hitting the dead end, “OW!” “Oof!” “Weeeeeeee!” Millie tumbled out of her seat, hitting the side of the van, “Ouch…”

He looked back at the side mirror, refusing to slow down, “Holy shit that actually worked.” The police almost smashed into the dead end, it didn’t crash them, but it bought them enough time to drive off. “Phew…thank goodness.”

He continued to drive towards the other road, then drove down there, “See? I’ve got it all handled…” He took another turn just to make sure they’re off their trail.

Millie glared at him, Devon shot an angry look, The rabbit cheered happily, continuing to chant “again”, Funtime Freddy was clapping, “What a show! Too bad those pesky cops didn’t crash though, that would have made it better!” Millie groaned in pain as she sat back up, “I can’t believe I can still feel pain, and the next time this happens Matthew, I am going to force you into this maniac’s stomach cavity.” She gestured to Funtime Freddy, he just shrugged, "I don't mind! There's room for one more!"

“Hey. I just saved us from time in jail and the possibility of experimentation, considering we are no longer alive, who knows what they’d do to us if they found out. A ‘thank you’ would be nice.” Matt rolled his eyes as he kept driving, Devon got back up on his feet, sitting next to Millie, “I’ll thank you when I get myself a girlfriend.” He retaliated, taking a deep breath, then stopped, “Wait, do ghosts have lungs?”

Millie huffed in annoyance, “We don’t need to breathe, we just can.” Devon nodded, laying down on the floor, next to the giant bear, “I need a nap.” He muttered, making himself comfortable on the floor.

“You still never told us the kid’s name.” Millie looked at the rabbit, it stared back. “Huh? Oh yeah, it’s Sage.” Devon said nonchalantly, rubbing his forehead, “Now shush, I’m trying to sleep, also known as resting.”

Matt looked at them through the rearview mirror, “Sage, huh?” The tiny rabbit, now named ‘Sage’, ran up to him, sitting next to him, “That’s nice…” He reached out to pet it, it happily accepted. Matt smiled softly at it, he felt himself relax a bit. Until Devon spoke.

“TWO HANDS ON THE WHEEL, MATTHEW.”

Notes:

Thank you all for the name suggestions for Tiny Rabbit, now named 'Sage', I appreciate it!

I am horrible at writing action stuff, so apologies if it's bad.

Also kids at play mention hehehehehe...

Thanks again!

Chapter 7: Seeing 'Shadows'

Summary:

The 5 stopped at yet another Pizza Place so Matt could take a break from driving.

It was a nice break.

They talk about stuff.

(Were shadows always this dark?)

Sage is having fun.

(Since when did shadows delay themselves?)

Notes:

I keep accidentally writing "shadown" instead of "shadow".

I am going to kick myself.

(NOT TO WORRY I CORRECTED EVERYTHING AS "SHADOW".)

Hehe.

Chapter Text

3:16 am

It was one long car ride, about two hours had passed since the chase.

Devon and Millie had fallen asleep on the way, on the floor, which was surprisingly comfortable, at least that's what Devon said. Sage was eating some marshmallows, it was watching the two sleep for a while, then Funtime Freddy was watching Sage watch the two. The van was quiet, with the occasional engine and rough road noises, but it was easily tuned out.

Matt kept driving behind the wheel, occasionally glancing at them through the rearview mirror. He was getting tired. He probably should have rest earlier at the other gas station they stopped at after the chase. He heard something approach him from behind, "Well, you look tired there, Potato! Maybe you should go lie down next to the kids and let me drive instead!" Funtime Freddy suggested, sitting down beside him. Matt groaned tiredly, brushing him off, "I'm not letting you crash the car, Funtime, I'm not an idiot. Stop asking." Freddy let out a huff, clearly disappointed, but then shrugged it off, "Worth a shot!" Freddy went back to sitting with the children, "Also stop calling me 'potato'. It sounds stupid." Matt requested, Freddy shook his head, "No can do, it suits you!" Matt looked at him through the rearview mirror, "What the heck is that supposed to mean?" The bear laughed loudly, "You figure it out!"

"Both of you, shut up." Millie groaned, changing into another lying position, "Nevermind, I'm awake now. Thanks." She said sarcastically, yawning as she sat up, "Where are we now?" she asked, Matt looked at the map next to him, "We're about to enter 'North Hillside'. Heh...I remember passing here years ago when I was in my teens." He chuckled at the memory, Freddy loudly turned to him, "Oooh, Matt's childhood? Tell me more!" Matt rolled his eyes, shaking his head "Yeah no thanks."

Eventually, they arrive at the town. It was still dark out with only a few vehicles passing by, "Andd it's still eerie as ever..." Matt muttered to himself, driving through the town, "I'm gonna go ahead and park somewhere, I need a break." Millie nodded, "Go ahead, I need to sit down on something that isn't moving." Sage ran up to the windows, taking in the view of the town. "Dark.." It said quietly, backing away from the window to sit next to Matt, Sage got a weird feeling about the area.

Matt spotted something peculiar, "Huh.." It was another Pizzeria, it looked similar to the old one they met Devon in, but it looked like an actual restaurant. Not broken down and abandoned. "Huh...I didn't know these were that common...last time I checked, there was one in every 10 towns or cities." Millie commented as she looked at the restaurant, Matt nodded, "I haven't seen a lot of these back then, they must've gotten popular nowadays." He parked in the parking lot of the pizzeria, turning the engine off. Millie shook Devon, getting him to wake up, "Mmm...5 more minutes..." He said tiredly, covering his eyes. "We found another pizzeria that's the same as the one we found you in." That caused Devon to sit up, "Another one?"

...

4:03 am

The five of them sat out in the parking lot, the pizzeria was closed, so they found a few chairs to sit down on outside. The breeze was cold out, it was only 4 in the morning so it made sense.

Sage was running around the parking lot, it was a spacious place, and Sage still had a lot of energy. Devon was following it around, as per Matt's request to make sure it doesn't hurt itself. Devon refused at first since he didn't want to be it's babysitter, but Matt just bribed him in, (Threatening to leave him there and handing him some money to use when they get to the next gas station/convenience store). "This is nostalgic..." Matt muttered to himself, looking at the restaurant beside him, "I haven't been to one of these since I was about 12."

"Why's that?" Freddy asked curiously, trying to look inside the restaurant, it was dark inside, but there was a bit of light in there. Matt looked back at them, "My...'mother' heard about some rumors surrounding this franchise, and just by looking at you, I can tell the rumors were true." The bear exaggerated a gasp, placing his hand to his chest while acting like he was offended, "Now that is just hurtful! I'll have you know that I was only a creation and not involved in the rumors at all."

"You killed the kid here." Matt gestured to Millie, who seemed confused, "Hold on a second, what rumors?" She asked them, Devon glanced back at them, "You lived under a rock or something? There were rumors about a murder in one of the restaurants back in 1985!" He yelled out to them, "I'm surprised they made more of these places, people did NOT leave the story forgotten even for a second." Devon then went back to looking after Sage, who was following its shadow. He and Millie didn't have a shadow, which made sense.

"A murder?" Millie looked at them curiously, Funtime Freddy seemed to perk up when it was mentioned, "Well, Cupcake, back in 1985, there was a rumor going around about the creator of the old version of this pizzeria!" He clapped his hands, "Several children had gone missing and was last seen in that very place, then there reports of a foul smell near the animatronics like me!" He said happily, Matt rolled his eyes, "You seem to happy to talk about this." He commented, looking back at the place.

"And then, it was rumored that one of the creators had gone missing, and the old animatronics were destroyed, then blah blab blah, one of those rumors were the reason you guys created the game 'Springtrap's Revenge' am I right?" Freddy asked, Matt nodded, "I thought it was stupid but, money." He shrugged, Millie scoffed, "Of course that's why you decided to use a damn rumor for a game."

"Hey, you'll learn when you get older."

"I'm dead. I don't think I can age."

"Like I said, when you get older."

"Guys I have a question." Devon asked, walking up to them while carrying Sage, who didn't seem to mind. Matt looked at them, "Did it hurt itself or something?" He asked, Devon shook his head, "Can I see your shadow?" Millie raised an eyebrow at him, confused, "What's up with you?" She asked curiously, Devon shook his head, "Can I just see your shadow, Matt?"

Matt nodded, moving slightly to the lamppost to show a shadow, "I'm confused, kid what're you trying to do?"

"Just-" Devon sighed, "Look at Sage." He placed sage down next to Matt, causing it to emit a shadow from it.

Now they saw what he was talking about.

"Woah! I knew this kid was weird but I didn't know it was THAT weird!" Funtime Freddy said to them, curiously looking at it's shadow as well.

Sage's shadow was dark...really dark. Almost as if it was just painted on the ground.

Sage jumped around while watching the shadow, "Cool!" It said happily, trying to catch it. Something wasn't right.

"The kid never fails to surprise me with whatever weird shhhh..." Matt glared at him, "shhhsstuff is happening with it." Devon commented, sitting down on one of the chairs. "Tell me about it...first it came out of a game, then out of me." Matt muttered, looking at the rabbit. The bear chimed in, "It then learned to speak within a day, and now has a darker and delayed shadow!"

"Delayed?" Matt looked at the bear, confused. "Yeah! Look!" Freddy pointed at the shadow, the other three looked closely at it.

It was delayed, almost by a second.

"What the hell?" Millie stepped closer to the shadow, Sage stood still, curious at what she was doing. "Hm..." She hovered her hand over it, then proceeded to touch the top of the head.

...

Nothing happened.

"It feels weird..." She commented, looking back at them, "I think you're little pet and or child is just too unnatural that its shadow is like this-"

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

The shadow screamed, causing Millie to jump back in shock. Sage immediately ran up to Matt, clearly frightened at the shadow, "What the heck was that??" Matt placed Sage behind him, also frightened by the shadow. The shadow was detached from Sage, it stayed there at where it was.

The shadow stopped screaming, it grew a pair of white dots for eyes and a white, toothy grin on its face, "Hahahaha!" It laughed. The main 5 stepped back away from it, with Millie making Funtime Freddy stand in front of them. "I'm sorry- sorry, I just had to. I've always wanted to do that."  The shadow appeared in front of them, smiling.

None of the 5 spoke, the shadow walked around them curiously, "You guys aren't alive, nice to see other people that have the same situation as us." The shadow stopped walking, then disappeared.

Millie looked around, "Where did it go...?" Another ghost appeared behind them, the ghost was a boy had brown hair and eyes, but white dots were in his pupils, similar to the shadow, he wore a red beanie and an orange jacket. "Now who are you guys?" The boy asked them, looking at them curiously.

"Who are you?" Devon asked, looking at the boy curiously as well, "I asked first, who are you guys?" The boy asked back, crossing his arms.

"I feel like I've seen you before." Devon muttered to himself, Millie furrowed her eyebrows, glaring slightly at the boy, "You answer us first. You're the one who screamed."

"Fair point. Well then, I'm Toby." Toby waved at them, "And you are...?"

"...Millie." She responded, feeling herself calm down a bit, "I'm assuming you're a ghost too?"

Toby nodded, "Yep, been dead for a while now." He looked at the Devon, "Weren't our schools like picked to go against each other at a competition?" Devon groaned, crossing his arms, "Now I remember you...I'm Devon."

"Our school absolutely kicked your asses that day!" Toby laughed at the memory, Devon just rolled his eyes at him.

Matt covered Sage's ears, talk about parenting. "Language please." Matt said while glaring at Toby, who just nodded, "Alright mister..."

"Matthew!" Funtime Freddy chimed in, "And I'm what you call 'Funtime Freddy'! A more improved version of your old animatronics!"

"Matt." Matt corrected him, scoffing at the bear's introduction. Toby nodded, walking around them, "I haven't seen other ghosts in a while," He eyed the bear and the rabbit, "And...haven't seen you two before."

Sage got out of hiding behind Matt, curiously looking at Toby, "Hello!" It said in a cheery tone, offering Toby a handshake, "Sage!" It gestured to itself. Toby shook it's hand, a bit weirded out by it, "Nice to meet you..." Toby quickly retracted his hand back, brushing his hand on his jacket.

"It's a long story." Matt told him while gesturing to the rabbit. Toby pretended to cough, getting their attention, "Question, what brings you all here? Also, how are you here?"

"Trust me, we've been asking ourselves that question for the past few hours." Devon shrugged, "I'll just say it's the same reason as to how you're here." Toby rubbed the crook of his neck, then looked at the ground, "Yeahhh that's the thing...I have no idea how I'm here either."

"...How helpful."

"Back to my first question-" Toby decided to change the subject, "why are you guys here? Finding something?"

"I've been driving for hours, I needed to take a break." Matt explained to him, pointing at the van.

"That explains it. Why are you guys driving around though?" Toby asked curiously, "And to where?"

"We're looking for somewhere to stay." Millie told him, "Permanently. Somewhere people won't find out about us." Toby nodded, thinking about something.

"...Well, unless you guys are good at hiding, this is the wrong place to stay." Toby gestured to the pizzeria, "It's hard enough to keep myself hidden here."

"Hm...so the next stop it is." Matt scoffed as he muttered to himself, crossing his arms. Millie then thought of something "How long until this place opens?"

"About an hour and a half, why?"

"Can we stay here for a while, until we can figure out where to go?" She asked him, then looked back at the others, "I still have the map, why don't we plan out where to go next? Plus, Matt, you look like you need a nap."

"Wow, thanks for pointing it out." He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes, "I will agree on the planning part, can we stay here, Toby?"

Toby nodded, "I don't see why not. Come on." He proceeded to phase through the wall. Devon and Millie followed behind.

"...Guys." Matt pressed his hand against the wall, unable to go through. He also gestured to Funtime Freddy and Sage. Toby ran to the entrance door, unlocking it, "Good thing we kept spare keys here." Toby gestured for them to enter, "I used to work here, until I died that is."

"Really now..." Matt nodded as they enter the place. Sage held Matt's hand as they enter, it was a bit scared.

"Wait a second- you can see us, you don't seem to be a ghost, you're clearly dead...are you some sort of zombie?" Toby asked, causing Devon to snicker, "I told you you're a zombie! Can't be in denial now, 4 people said it." Matt sighed, unamused by Devon's actions.

"You seem a bit too friendly to strangers like us, are you not scared we might do something?" Funtime Freddy asked as he followed inside. Toby shook his head, "Not really, I'm already dead so doesn't matter if you try to kill me. Plus, you don't know me, why would you hurt me for no reason?"

"Good point, I like ya already."

"Thanks..?" Toby shrugged it off, "I'd turn on the lights but, me and the others aren't trying to get caught here so...yeah."

"Others?" Devon raised an eyebrow, he was a bit confused, Millie looked at Toby as well, confused about what he meant.

"Oh yeahhh...about that-" Toby looked around the area, "I'm not the only ghost here. There are actually five of us that hang here."

"Five?"

Notes:

I am a experimenting on a writing stuffs.

ALSO TOBY IS HERE, EVERYONE GIVE HIM A ROUND OF APPLAUSE!
-I just had to make him surprise them, I'm so sorry (imnotactuallysorry)

Most of the POV's that'll happen will mostly be one of the main/original 5's (Mostly Devon, Matt, and Millie), but I'll try to include the other people as well.

Thank you!

Edit: it's supposed to be five instead of four, it's all ok now 👍

Chapter 8: APCANT Entertainment

Summary:

Despite there being a regular and normal manager of the pizzeria, some certain people keep and take care of everything once it's lights out...at least they try to. (They're trying their best)

Sad news: They don't get paid enough (they don't get paid at all)

Well, they need to go.

Notes:

I came up with the title on the spot. 👍

Experimenting 😃

Have fun ✌

4:32 am

A + P POV:

"That's new..." 'A' commented, looking at the newcomers through the hole in the wall, "I heard Toby said they're dead too. Do you think they're friendly?" He asked the boy behind him.

'P' shrugged, "Maybe." He grabbed 'A' off the very not sturdy stool he was stepping on to look through the hole, then looked through it himself, "Toby seems to be ok with them."

'A' got off from the other boy's grasp, balancing himself on his two, tiny feet, "They seem friendly as well." He commented. 'P' looked through the hole, "You of all people should know that looks and first impressions can be deceiving." 'P' said to him, looking away from the hole.

"True." 'A' shrugged, "They said something about finding somewhere to live. Do you think they'll let us come?" he asked, a bit hopeful.

'P' shrugged, "They haven't met us yet, who knows."

"Do you think Toby will come with them? If they let him?"

"He won't leave us if that's what you're thinking." 'P' reassured him. He knows Toby wont leave them, not a chance. If those months of living here and bonding were worth nothing, he's hunting him down.

"I'mma go check it out." 'A' told him, then ran off. 'P' sighed before calling out to him, "Be careful!"

"I will!"

'P' stood there alone, thinking about something, "...I wonder what Coils is doing." He muttered before walking off to another direction.

How long has it been since he'd stayed here? It's almost been a year, and hiding here isn't going to be an option anymore, at least for him and 'Coils'. Based from what he'd heard, the employees were planning on throwing their 'coffins' out, and wherever it goes, they go with it.

Though he guessed that the other three might be forced to leave as well, the employees are closing off majority of the rooms, and the vents are getting fixed and replaced soon.

They'll have no where else to hide.

He stopped walking on top of a small, circular stage behind some purple curtains, getting out of his 'coffin'. He looked over at the tall, red fox he's forced to call his 'body'.

Sure, he could stay as a ghost and get far, far away from it, but for whatever logic, the longer you become a ghost, the more visible you become.

The only plus side of this is that whenever he uses the thing, he becomes less visible the longer he stays at it. What kind of bullshit is that?

'P' sighed, they would figure something out, he hoped. They usually do.

...The newcomers. Maybe they could help them? He'd heard them, they seem friendly enough (except for maybe the old guy and the bear), Maybe Toby will ask them?

(Back with the OG 5)

Matt laid out the map on the table, "So we're here...we've been there..." He thought for a moment, looking through the old map they had and the two new maps Toby gave them. Maps of this town, and another town nearby that may be about an hour drive long.

"Maybe here?" Millie pointed at a spot, "Actually wait...no nevermind. People would see. And we have a kid." She sighs, leaning against the chair she'd been sitting on. A very, children-sized chair. The pizzeria opens at 5:30, and they only narrowed down to a fourth of the first map.

Funtime Freddy held Sage on his head, "How considerate of you Lambchop! And I thought you only wanted to get away from everything." Millie rolled her eyes at that, of course she considered the green, toddler sized, energetic, unnatural rabbit that Matt seems to consider his "child" instead of pet. She didn't bother to ask him about it, not wanting to fill her brain with whatever family tree he had with it.

Why did she consider it exactly? Firstly, Matt is their driver, and leaving the rabbit isn't an option in his eyes. Secondly, sure they could just leave both of them, but floating around isn't as fun as they made it sound in movies. And lastly, Sage was nice company, not her type to be around but, it didn't bother her that much. So that's that. Sage is a good...'kid', It doesn't deserve to be left alone.

Devon was seated across her at the table, looking at the other map laid out on the table, "Northwich..." he mumbled to himself, looking all over the map before stopping his eyes at the school.

'Northwich Highschool'. He knew someone there. 'I wonder if he's still there?'

Toby looked over to his map, scanning for an area as well. Devon thought for a moment, wondering if he was going with them, not that he'd mind. His mind trailed back to Toby's statement, "5 of us". There were 4 other dead people besides him here, and Toby refused to elaborate. He'll just ask later, they had less than an hour, and like

Toby said, not all of them can stay here. They can't stay in the van either, it was parked in this place's parking lot, the employees were bound to get them out of there soon.

Were they even considered as ghosts? Well, they're dead, that's for sure. Whatever creature they're calling themselves, pretty sure aren't ghosts. He doesn't think they can consider themselves as ghosts if they can somehow do...this. Well, Matt's a zombie, maybe they're zombies too? But they can phase through walls. But at the same time, they can be seen? Is there even something to call them by?-

"...Say, do you think there's a way to look normal?" Devon snapped out of his thoughts, Toby had asked him something, looking away from the map, "Like, how someone alive would look?" Devon sighed as he shrugged, "I wish there was. Maybe then we wouldn't have to hide."

"I wouldn't say that..." Toby sighed, crossing out another section of the map.

"What do you mean?"

"Well...we are dead, aren't we?" Toby started, "It'd be pretty weird if some old friend of family saw us walking around as if we didn't just die."

"...Huh." Devon hadn't thought of that before, but it made sense. Imagine seeing your dead son walk around without an arm.

Toby looked back at the map, "Hm...There's a factory there." Toby pointed at it through the map, "It doesn't look too far from any 'supply' sources, you guys could go there." He emphasized the word 'supply' subtly, though Devon knew he meant 'food for Sage'.

He liked Sage, it reminds him of Mick...in a way...Kinda. Kinda like Mick. He didn't mind trying to find somewhere habitable for both them and the rabbit, he just wanted to be a part of something for once and not be an outcast...even though they're technically outcasts to the living. He also followed them because he wanted to be far away from the old pizzeria he died in...because it held bad memories. Yep, that was definitely it. Not because of something or someone else.

"That could work." Matt commented, looking at the map of the town, 'Northwich'. Millie and Ft. Freddy came up to them as well, looking at the map, "Roadtrip!" Sage said as it climbed up the table to look at the map.

Toby thought for a moment, then spoke up, "Is there any room for 5 more in the van...?"

'Called it.' Devon thought to himself.

Matt sighed, he was also expecting the question, "Look kid, I'm not so sure about that.-"

"I mean, there's still space in the van. It's a big vehicle." Devon chimed in, he had a weird feeling that Toby and his gang will need it. Plus, he was nice to have around. It felt wrong to just abandon someone. He would know from experience.

"We don't even know who these other four are." Matt retorted, "The kid won't tell us-"

"Let me to introduce myself then." A voice behind them said.

"WHAT THE FU-"

"GAH-"

"HOLY SHIT-"

"Woah!"

Due to the sudden announcement, Sage ended up falling off the table.

The ghosts (and Sage) backed away from their spot, (except for Toby). Ft. Freddy stepped back, "What a jumpscare!" He laughed, looking at the figure that was behind them. There stood a clown, almost as tall as Ft. Freddy. It wore a lemon and lime striped costume, and had yellow coils for arms.

"Hi Colton." Toby said plainly, turning to look at the clown.

The clown waved at them, "Hello." It said as if it didn't just give them a fright. The clown walked toward them slightly, "I thought you guys had heard me. Sorry." It apologized to them.

''Sneaky One, ain't it?' Ft. Freddy thought to himself, looking at the clown, Colton was his name.

"Don't you have bells attached to you?" Toby mentioned, looking at the clown.

"I removed them."

"...Why?"

Matt held a hand to his chest, pretending as if his dead heart was beating faster, "Do you guys have a thing for scaring people as an introduction??" He said, glaring at both them. Sage didn't seem to be frightened, it was looking at Colton curiously.

A loud thump was suddenly heard, "Does a sudden performance count as scaring!?" A female voice was heard from the stage.

'Maybe to other people.'

"Welcome fellow newcomers! I now gladly present to you-" the stage curtains opened, revealing the source of the voice.

There stood a teenage ghost, a slightly pink ghost. 'A candy ghost?'

Most parts of her were covered in what looks like bits and pieces of candy, her hair looked like it was made of bubblegum. Though it was still clear, she was indeed human, though that part of her was almost unnoticeable.

"The Gumdrop Angel!!" She announced, holding the microphone, "Everyone give me a round of applause!" She took a step forward, then tripped on the microphone wire, causing her to fall off the stage.

The others watched as it happened. Matt looked perplexed, still processing what just happened. Millie looked surprised and tired. Devon held back a chuckle as he watched the ghost fall. "...Wooo." Colton sighed, getting out of the clown, revealing a slightly normal looking ghost. The candy ghost got up from the floor, "Well that was fun while it lasted." She muttered to herself.

"...So that's two." Devon pointed out, "I'm guessing two more. Well...hi." He waved at both of them. Millie let out a heavy sigh, "I cannot go a single day without something like this happening. And it's only been what? Day two since I followed you guys?"

"Technically it's only been about 6 or more hours." Ft. Freddy stated, "I never realized how many people had died in this country, groovy!"

"6 hours??-"

"You guys have been looking for a home for 6 hours? Well that's commitment." Colton commented, looking at them curiously. Toby walked up to the new people who had appeared, "Well, I guess you guys should introduce yourselves." Toby said quietly to them, gesturing to the guests.

The candy ghost coughed, stepping forward. 'She acts like a host, or a performer maybe?'  Ft. Freddy thought to himself.

She waved at them, "Hello uh...what did he call them again...whatever. I am Angel, nice to meet you." The candy ghost, Angel, gave a them a smile, before nudging Colton.

From the clown emerged a ghost, "You guys already know me, Colton. Though SOME people call me 'Coils'." The ghost looked to be about the same age as Devon. Light blonde hair, black overalls, 'Huh, maybe he IS naturally sneaky'? Ft. Freddy observed quietly.

"I am not one of 'some people'." Angel glanced behind them, then walked over to something. She then grabbed something, "This is 'some people' though." She chuckled, holding tiny bear with blue eyes. It desperately tried to get out of her grasp, "Hey! Let me goo! ANGEL!" It complained, 'Like a child.' Ft. Freddy thought.

Angel held up the bear as it slowly stopped struggling, "Meet 'some people'." she joked, letting out a lighthearted chuckle.

"My name is Alec-"

"Meet 'Some People'."

Sage jumped and snatched the bear from Angel's grasp. The bear, Alec was probably his name, yelped in surprise, 'What just happened-?'

"What the- hey!" Angel tried to grab the bear back, though Sage kept hold of the tiny bear.

It was surprisingly bigger that him, about a foot of more taller, "...Tiny." it said, then suddenly cradled Alec in it's arms.

"...What." The bear muttered, staying still. He had no idea what was happening, 'I just wanted to ask what was happening-'

"Well this just got interesting!" Ft. Freddy chimed in, looming over the two tiny creatures, "How wonderful it is to finally meet another bear! Must I say though, you are smaller than any other Freddy I've seen."

Another ghost snatched Alec back, "Alright that's enough-" Sage tried to grab him back, but it was too short to reach. The new ghost looked to be about the same age as Toby, he had an eye patch on and no left arm.

'He looks like a pirate' Ft. Freddy observed.

"So that's Alec...and you..?" Devon looked at the 2ft tall bear curiously, then at the pirate ghost, 'What happened with them-?'

"Hello?" Alec looked around, the bigger bear was a bit more frightening up close. The pirate held the bear cautiously.

'Ok, now that's 5...' Millie thought to herself, "...I'm assuming this bear is-"

"Oh no- he isn't dead. It's a long story.." The pirate explained, letting out a sigh, "I'm Pete by the way. Hi."

"Pirate!" Sage waved at Pete.

'Now how does he know what pirate is-? Y'know what, nevermind..' Matt brushed off the thought, focusing back on the task at hand.

Colton pointed at Alec, "This is 'some people'." he joked, patting his head.

"Shut up." Alec grumbled slightly, "...Now about taking us with you. Can we?"

"I'm still not so sure about that, and how did you even know about it?" Matt asked him, a bit cautious of the newcomers. He didn't trust them all that much, but they're children, what sort of harm can they cause? Still, he had his guard up.

Pete placed Alec down on the floor, "The walls are thin, we can hear everything." Pete explained, "Look, we promise to help you guys as much as we can. Just please take us away from here-"

Sage picked Alec up again, cradling him in its arms. It seemed to like Alec.

"...Why should we? Why do you guys want to leave this place so badly?" Matt questioned, still unsure, "You guys lived here for a while, am I right? So why just abandon this?"

"We're gonna get caught soon enough." Pete told him, "We're running out of places to hide, and it's been getting riskier to stay in certain places here. We can't get caught for obvious reasons. So, we need to leave this place."

Matt hesitated, why should be care? There are already 5 of them, letting them tag along sounds like trouble, and he already got out of plenty.

"Have I seen you before?" Devon looked at Pete curiously.

He nodded, "The competition?"

"Alright, forget I asked."

"You guys were terrible."

"I know."

Alec chimed in, "Wait that was you guys-?"

Matt broke the conversation, "OK- look, why should take you guys with us huh? We've already gotten 5 of us traveling-"

"There's plenty of room." Millie retorted, they just met people like them, they aren't alone on whatever phenomenon this was. She wanted them to come along as well.

Ft. Freddy chuckled, "I also vote to bring them along!" He didn't have an exact reason why, he just thought it'd be fun.

Matt groaned in annoyance, "Let me think."

"They could be helpful." Ft. Freddy whispered to him, "What other harm could they make anyway?"

...

Matt sighed, giving up, "Fine."

Notes:

A - Alec
P - Pete
C - Colton
AN - Angel
T - Toby
(It was definitely Alec who came up with it)

Also look! Funtime Freddy thoughts! Since he knows stuff about Millie (based on the book), I like to think the bear is observant.
I had to come up with how Colton looked :'D
(Thank you Graphic Novel)
