Chapter Text
{The sun bathed Fairyland in its warm embrace as the kingdom buzzed with anticipation. The time had come for the next generation to ascend to the throne, and excitement filled the hearts of its inhabitants. The old rulers, King Oberon and Queen Titania, were preparing to pass their crowns to their children, Prince Willow and Princess Aurora, in a grand coronation ceremony.
Across the enchanted realm, in the secluded and mystical domain known as the Enchanted Forest, King Lindir and Queen Albina, the wise elven rulers, were also preparing for a transition of power. Their son, Prince Ash, and his beloved Genevieve, who was the great granddaughter of the legendary wizard Merlin, would soon take the throne.
However, amid the preparations for these momentous events, there was one young princess who bore a unique destiny. Princess Elara, the cherished daughter of Genevieve and Ash, was approaching her sixteenth birthday, a milestone that carried both anticipation and trepidation. Elara had grown up in an era of peace and prosperity, but she couldn't escape the knowledge of the ancient curse that had plagued her since she was seven stars old. As her sixteenth birthday drew near, she couldn't help but wonder what lay ahead. Her heart was filled with a blend of excitement and anxiety, for she knew that her destiny was intertwined with the shadows of the past.
With each passing day, as the sun's radiant beams illuminated her world, Elara felt the weight of her impending fate. She had spent years honing her magical abilities and absorbing the wisdom of her grandparents, King Lindir and Queen Albina, all in preparation for the challenges she was destined to face. Now, as the countdown to her sixteenth birthday began, Elara stood on the precipice of a new chapter in her life. The echoes of ancient prophecies whispered in her ears, reminding her of the shadows that loomed ahead. With determination burning in her heart, she steeled herself for the trials that lay ahead, knowing that the fate of her family, her kingdom, and her own future rested on her shoulders. And it here that our story begins.}

Elara yawned and stretched as she sat up in her room, the golden rays of the morning sun streaming in through her window. Her room was adorned with the enchanting beauty of Fairyland. Delicate, gossamer curtains swayed gently in the breeze, allowing the sweet scent of blooming flowers to waft inside. Her bed was adorned with soft, ethereal linens that seemed to shimmer in the daylight. The room was painted in pastel hues that mirrored the colors of spring, creating a sense of tranquility and harmony. A bookshelf stood against one wall, filled with volumes of magic and history, a testament to her ongoing studies. Elara's gaze was drawn to the window, where she could see the vibrant flora of the Enchanted Forest swaying in the breeze. It was a sight that always brought her comfort and a connection to the natural world that surrounded her.
Elara rose from her bed and walked over to the wardrobe that stood gracefully against the wall. It was a piece of furniture that had been passed down through generations, each generation leaving its mark on the intricate carvings that adorned its surface. With a sense of anticipation, Elara opened the wardrobe's ornate doors, revealing an array of enchanting garments within. Her dresses, gowns, and robes were a testament to the rich and diverse culture of Fairyland and her title to Princess. Each one was carefully crafted, some adorned with delicate embroidery, others with glistening gemstones and ethereal fabrics that seemed to shimmer with a life of their own. Elara's fingers gently brushed over the fabrics as she considered her options for the day.
She knew that as a young princess, her attire carried a certain significance, and she wanted to choose something that would reflect her readiness to embrace her destiny. After a moment of contemplation, she selected a dress that seemed to capture the essence of her spirit – a gown in a shade of celestial blue, adorned with silver threads that formed intricate patterns reminiscent of constellations in the night sky. It was a dress fit for a future queen, and as she held it up, she couldn't help but smile at the possibilities that lay ahead. She then walks over to her dressing table and starts to brush her ginger hair before putting her circlet on her head. With a deep breath she smiles and heads out of the room.

{The sunlight streamed into the shared chambers of Genevieve and Ash, casting a warm and inviting glow across the room. It was a room filled with a sense of comfort and elegance, reflecting the royal status of its occupants. The windows, adorned with rich, velvety drapes, allowed the golden rays of the sun to filter in, creating a play of light and shadow on the polished wooden floors. The room was adorned with tasteful furnishings, from the intricately carved wooden canopy bed to the ornate mirror that hung on the wall. In one corner of the room, a vanity table was adorned with brushes, perfumes, and delicate trinkets. Genevieve often spent time here, preparing herself for the day, her reflection in the mirror a regal image of grace and beauty.
Despite the duties and responsibilities that came with their royal roles, this shared chamber was a place of respite and intimacy for Genevieve and Ash. It was where they could be themselves, free from the weight of their titles and the demands of the kingdom. Ash yawned and stretched as he sat up in bed, his eyes finding Genevieve's with a warm and affectionate smile. The morning light cast a soft glow on his features, accentuating the kindness in his eyes. He gently brushes some of her ginger hair out of her face. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever met, and he felt like the luckiest elf prince in all of Fairyland.}
{Ash whispering his voice filled with tenderness} You're the most beautiful part of my world, I cherish every moment we have together.
{He leans down and kisses her softly on the lips as she opens her eyes and pulls him close kissing him back. Their lips met in a soft, lingering kiss, a testament to the deep affection and passion they shared. In that moment, their love for each other enveloped them like a warm embrace, making them feel truly blessed to have found each other in the vast and magical realm of
Fairyland. As their kiss deepened, the world outside their chambers faded into insignificance. It was as if time stood still, and there was only the two of them, sharing their love and affection in the quiet morning light. After a long and tender moment, they finally pulled away, their hearts filled with warmth and contentment.}
{Genevieve, her eyes filled with love} I could wake up like this every day, my prince.
{Ash, smiling} As could I, my princess. There's no place I'd rather be than by your side.
{She smiles softly before frowning and looking away.}
{Ash} I know that look Genevieve. What is on your mind, love?
{Genevieve} It’s almost Elara’s sixteenth birthday. The curse Ash, it's almost upon us.
{Ash} I know, my love. The curse has always been hanging over us, but we won't let it define our future. We'll face it together, just as we've faced every challenge that has come our way. We have the support of our family and the magic of this realm. We'll find a way to break the curse and ensure Elara's safety.
{Genevieve, taking a deep breath} I just worry about what it might turn her into, Ash. She's our daughter, and I can't bear the thought of losing her to the darkness.
{Ash} We'll do everything in our power to protect her, Genevieve. And we'll make sure she knows that she's loved and cherished no matter what. We won't let the curse win.
{Genevieve} But when she turns into Starlessia again what if we can't get our Little Star back?
{Ash} We can't lose hope, my love. We must believe that the Elara we know, and love is still in there, somewhere, fighting against the darkness. And we'll keep fighting alongside her, no matter how long it takes or how difficult the battle becomes. We have a strong family, Genevieve, and we have powerful allies. Together, we'll find a way to bring our Little Star back to us.
{Genevieve} You're right, Ash. We can't give in to despair. Elara needs us to stay strong and believe in her. And we'll do whatever it takes to break that curse and free her from the darkness.
{Ash} That's the spirit, my love. We'll face this challenge together, as a family. And we'll show Elara that we'll never give up on her.
{They share a loving and determined look, reaffirming their commitment to their daughter's well-being.}
{Ash} Come on, we better get dressed and get some breakfast. We have much to do with Elara’s birthday ball and our coronation.
{Genevieve} Do you think it's wise to have a ball for Elara’s birthday?
{Ash} I understand your concern, but I think it's essential to make Elara's birthday as joyful as possible. It might be the last one she has before the curse takes hold. Besides, it will give us a chance to surround her with love and happiness, and maybe even discover some clues or support from our friends and allies. We can't let the shadow of the curse overshadow our time with her.
{Genevieve} You're right, Ash. We should make her birthday special, no matter what challenges lie ahead. Let's make it a day filled with love, laughter, and hope.
{They share a kiss then get out of the bed and start to dress for the day. As they dress for the day, their minds are filled with a mixture of anticipation and concern for what lies ahead. Elara's sixteenth birthday approaches, and with it, the looming curse that threatens to take her away from them. But for now, they focus on the preparations for the birthday ball and coronation, determined to make this day special for their beloved daughter.}
{Genevieve, with a determined look} We'll make today unforgettable for Elara, Ash. And we'll face whatever challenges come our way, together.
{Ash} Together, always.
{They finish getting dressed and head out to begin the day's preparations, ready to celebrate and protect their family.}

{As Elara sits down in the royal dining hall, Aroura, who bears a striking resemblance to her mother, Titania, takes a seat next to her. The dining hall is filled with the cheerful chatter of the royal family as they enjoy their breakfast.}
{Aurora, smiling} Good morning, Elara. Are you excited about your birthday ball and the coronation?
{Elara, trying to hide her worries with a smile} Good morning, Aurora. Yes, I am excited. It's just... I can't help but think about the curse. It's almost time.
{Aurora places a reassuring hand on Elara's shoulder.}
{Aurora} We'll face whatever comes our way, Elara. You have all of us by your side, and we won't let anything happen to you. Besides your lucky Elara.
{Elare} Oh why is that?
{Aurora} You don’t have to share the throne with your twin brother.
{She points to Willow who looked just like Oberon his father as Elara giggles at this.}
{Elara} You're right, Aurora. I am lucky in that regard.
{The door opens, and Genevieve and Ash walk into the room as Elara stands up to great her parents.}
{Elara} Mama, Papa, good morning!
{Genevieve and Ash exchange warm smiles with their daughter.}
{Genevieve} Good morning, sweetheart. How did you sleep?
{Elara} Like a star, Mama. I'm so excited but nervous about tomorrow.
{Ash} And so are we, Little Star. It is a special day for all of us.
{They share a loving family hug before taking their seats at the dining table.}
{Oberon} Good morning, Genevieve and Ash. Did you two sleep well?
{Genevieve} (smiling) Good morning, Oberon. Yes, we slept quite well, thank you. I just think we are both just nervous about tomorrow.
{Titania sipping some violet tea} I think we all are.
{Genevieve} I can't help but think something wrong is going to happen.
{Ash placing a comforting hand on her shoulder} It won't. The ball will be finished before the sun starts to even start to set. Plenty of time before Elara...
{Elara looking down at her lap} Before I become Starlessia again.
{Ash and Genevieve look at each other with sadness.}
{Ash softly} Its going to be ok Little Star. You be ok.
{Elara crying} But you and Mama and everyone can't get in the way of Starlessia or I go into a death like sleep remember?
{Genevieve} (softly) Elara, we're going to do everything in our power to break that curse safely. We won't let you fall into a death-like sleep. You're our daughter, and we love you.
{Ash} (determined) That's right, Little Star. We'll find a way, together.
{Elara} (tearfully) I don't want to become Starlessia again, but I'm scared, Papa.
{Ash} (holding her close) We're here for you, Elara, and we'll face this together. You're not alone in this, and we won't let anything happen to you.
{Genevieve} (nodding) We'll find a way to protect you, no matter what.
{Elara's tears slowly subside as she feels the warmth and love of her parents surrounding her. Today may be filled with uncertainty, but it's also filled with love and support. Elara, feeling reassured by her parents' words, manages a small smile.}
{Elara} Thank you, Mama, Papa. I love you both so much.
{Genevieve} We love you too, sweetheart. Always remember that.
{Ash carefully wiping her tears away.} Now dry these eyes as your Grandmother and Grandfather are coming today.
{Elara smiling} Grandma Albina and Grandpa Lindir?
{Ash} Yes, that's right. They wouldn't miss your special day for anything. And you know how much they adore you.
{Genevieve} It's going to be a wonderful day, Elara. Let's focus on the joy of the present moment.
{With the promise of a joyful day ahead, they continue their breakfast, eager to celebrate Elara's sixteenth birthday with their loved ones.}
{Aurora with a cheeky smile} Guess who is coming to your ball?
{Elara curiously} Who?
{Aurora grins mischievously} King Thandor and Queen Elowen, along with their son, Prince Alden.
{Elara blushes hard at this as Willow smiles cheekily.}
{Willow} You like his wings don’t you Elara?
{Elara, blushing} I-I don't know what you're talking about!
{Aurora and Willow both giggle, sharing a knowing look.}
{Aurora} Oh, come on, Elara. It's obvious. You've been admiring Prince Alden's wings for a while now.
{Willow, teasing} And I think he's been admiring your starry eyes.
{Elara's blush deepens as she tries to hide her embarrassment with a playful eyeroll.}
{Elara} You two are incorrigible.
{Ash worried} Prince Alden how old his he again?
{Genevieve laughing} He is eighteen stars old.
{Elara} And he's an incredibly talented fairy. I've heard he's a Master of Water magic and can create the most beautiful ice sculptures.
{Aurora} (teasing) And I've heard he's quite taken with you, Elara.
{Elara blushes again, and Willow chuckles.}
{Willow} Well, it seems like you have an admirer, Little Star.
{Elara, blushing even more} Oh, please, he's just a friend. We've known each other for stars.
{Genevieve, joining the conversation} Well, it's always nice to have friends join us for the ball. It'll make Elara's birthday even more special.
{Ash} I would like to have a word with him before he dances with you Elara.
{Elara blushing} Papa!
{Ash, chuckling} Just to get to know him better, Little Star, nothing to worry about. I promise.
{Elara} Alright, Papa, but don't embarrass me.
{Ash} I'll do my best not to.
{Titania and Oberon and Genevieve chuckles at this.}
{Titania} Oh, Elara, your father will behave himself, I'm sure.
{Genevieve} And besides, it's a special day, and we should all enjoy it. Now, let's focus on the preparations. Everything needs to be perfect for your birthday ball. Elara Apricot wants to see you after Breakfast. She says she has your dress ready for the ball tomorrow.
{Elara} Ok Mama. Um Mama?
{Genevieve} Yes Little Star?
{Elara} Is it odd that we just had the winter solstice ball and now we having another one?
{Genevieve and Ash chuckle at this.}
{Ash} Well when you decided to be born Elara you decided to let you Mama know at the Winter Solstice
{Elara surprised} I did?
{Genevieve} (smiling) Yes, you did, Little Star. You wanted to make your entrance into the world during a time of celebration and magic. So, in a way, it's a tradition for us to have a ball around this time every year to commemorate your arrival.
{Ash} (nodding) And we wouldn't have it any other way. It's a reminder of how special you are to us.
{Elara beams at her parents, feeling truly loved and cherished.}
{Elara} I'm glad I chose this time then. Um I am going to go and see Apricot. I see you around later.
{Genevieve} Have a wonderful time with Apricot, Elara. We'll see you later.
{Ash and Genevieve exchange a smile as they watch their daughter go, knowing that they'll do everything in their power to protect her from the curse that looms over her.}
{Genevieve} (softly) We'll find a way, Ash. We must.
{Ash} (determined) We will, my love. We'll face it together, as a family. And we'll do whatever it takes to keep our Little Star safe.
...................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
{As Elara made her way to Apricots sewing room, she could hear shouting coming from in the room.}
{Kendra shouting} How can you just confess your love to that annoying Pixie Apricot?!
{Apricot trying to remain calm} Because I love him. I really love Puck.
{Elara, hesitating at the door, listens to the intense conversation happening inside the room.}
{Kendra, in frustration} But you and I, Apricot, we've been friends for ages! You can't just throw that away for Puck!
{Apricot, her voice filled with emotion} Kendra, you're like a sister to me, and I don't want to lose your friendship. But my heart belongs to Puck, and I can't deny my feelings any longer.
{Elara, torn between wanting to interrupt and respecting their privacy, decides to gently knock on the door.}
{Elara, softly} Um, excuse me, Apricot? Kendra? May I come in?
{Kendra and Apricot both turn towards the door, their expressions a mix of surprise and embarrassment.}
{Kendra flustered} Oh, Elara, we didn't realize you were there.
{Apricot, a bit red-faced} Yes, come in, Elara. What brings you here?
{Elara enters the room, trying to be understanding.}
{Elara} I heard voices and thought I'd visit. Is everything okay?
{Apricot, trying to compose herself} Yes, yes, everything is fine, Elara. Kendra and I were just having a... discussion.
{Kendra, with a snort} A heated one, apparently.
{Elara} If it's something personal, I don't want to intrude.
{Apricot, offering a reassuring smile} No need to worry, Elara. It's just that Kendra and I have some differences to work through.
{Kendra nods in agreement.}
{Kendra} That's right. It's a personal matter between friends, nothing more.
{Elara, understanding, smiles at them both.}
{Elara} Alright, I won't pry. Apricot you said that you had something for me?
{Apricot} Yes, your birthday ball dress is ready for you. Come it's at the back.
{She looks at Kendra as Kendra makes sure her sword is sheafed.}
{Kendra} We will continue this later. But mark my words Apricot he will break your heart to pieces.
{Apricot rolls her eyes as Kendra walks out of the room. Apricot leads Elara to the back of the room where it was more spaces and shows her the dress. Elara gasps in awe as she gazes at the dress on the mannequin. It's an exquisite creation, like a masterpiece woven from dreams. The gown boasts a flowing, floor-length skirt made from layers of ethereal, shimmering fabric that seems to change color as it catches the light. The fabric shifts from a soft, pale blue to a gentle lavender, mirroring the colors of the dawn sky. The bodice is a work of art in itself, adorned with delicate lace and intricate beadwork that sparkles like a star-studded night. The neckline is a graceful off-shoulder design, accentuating Elara's elegant collarbones. The back of the gown features a lace-up corset that adds a touch of romanticism to the overall look. Tiny, opalescent beads are scattered throughout the corset, giving the impression of scattered stardust.
As Elara continues to admire the dress, she notices the sleeves, which are made of sheer, gossamer fabric that billows softly like a gentle breeze. The ends of the sleeves are adorned with delicate lace cuffs that match the bodice. The finishing touch is a celestial tiara, designed to resemble a coronet of stars, that Elara will wear in her hair.}
{Elara, in awe} Apricot, it's absolutely breathtaking! You've outdone yourself.
{Apricot beams with pride.}
{Apricot} I'm thrilled you like it, Elara. I poured my heart and soul into making this dress perfect for your special day.
{Elara, touched, turns to Apricot with a warm smile.}
{Elara} Thank you so much, Apricot. Your talent is beyond compare, and I'm so grateful to have you as a friend.
{Apricot, blushing slightly} Oh, it's my pleasure, Elara. You deserve nothing but the best for your birthday.
{As they admire the dress, Elara can't help but think about Kendra's earlier warning regarding Apricot's feelings for Puck.}
{Elara, softly} Apricot, about Kendra's concerns...
{Apricot looks at her, her expression serious.}
{Apricot} Elara, I understand Kendra's worries, but my heart tells me that Puck and I are meant to be together. Love can be complicated, but it's also a beautiful journey worth taking.
{Elara smiles, appreciating Apricot's honesty.}
{Elara} I hope it all works out for you, Apricot. You deserve happiness.
{Apricot nods with gratitude.}
{Apricot} Thank you, Elara. Now, let's focus on your birthday ball and making it a night to remember.
{Elara nods enthusiastically, excited for the upcoming celebration.}
{Elara} Absolutely! I can’t wait to wear this dress I just hope that I don’t destroy this dress.
{Apricot gently touches Elara’s chin to make her look at her.}
{Apricot} It won't be your fault Elara. It is never your fault.
{Elara} But it will be. Starlessia is a part of me. She always has been since I was Seven.
{Apricot} Elara, you mustn't blame yourself for something beyond your control. Starlessia is a curse, a darkness that has been placed upon you. But remember, you are not defined by that darkness. You are the one who has fought it all these years. You have a heart full of love and kindness, and that's what truly matters. We'll face whatever comes our way together.
{Elara nods, her eyes welling up with tears.}
{Elara} Thank you, Apricot. I needed to hear that. I don't want to be afraid anymore.
{Apricot smiles warmly and hugs Elara.}
{Apricot} You're stronger than you know, Elara.
{Elara crying} Thankyou Apricot.
{Apricot} Your welcome, my dear.
{With that, they continue preparing for the grand birthday ball, with hopes that this magical night will be filled with joy and laughter, despite the looming darkness of the curse that threatens Elara.}
