By the age of 16, Yuuta looked like a wreck. The ability to taste was completely gone now, leaving him with no appetite. His body thinned out and dark circles took up permanent residence under his eyes. He had slowly closed himself off from any friends and distanced himself from his family. Yuuta knew what this was but had been denying it for years.

It was a separation among people, innate, something you were born with. A curse. Most people were born normal and would live out their days as such. Others who were not so fortunate would either be born as a fork or a cake.
Forks are the predators, humans who have completely lost their sense of taste and smell. Their tastebuds can sense only one thing— cake.
