Afraid of Being Loved

Summary:

He was a fuckboi, she was a fuckgirl; can I make it any more obvious?

Except they were in love.

Notes:

https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7K31wnWxgMXu7aVJvySpQU The playlist for the story I went through it in the text here! Maybe one day I'll get around to writing it, but for now here's the movie montage in my head hope you enjoy!

Work Text:

So this is a playlist for a story that goes along these lines:

Nemuri and Keigo are both very prominent heroes who have very successful careers. Nemuri is well known for being in charge of herself, and Keigo flirts and plays around a lot.

Nemuri's anthems would be: W.I.T.C.H. by Devon Cole; Sit Still, Look Pretty by Daya; Alpha by Chrissy Chalpecka; Heart Attack by Demi Lovato; and How to Be a Heartbreaker by MARINA. Keigo's represented by: bitches by Tove Lo; I Knew You Were Trouble by Taylor Swift.

The Chandelier song by Sia is meant to show when they start to get hurt by their 'fuck around and don't find out' feelings.

The feelings get realized with Enchanted by Taylor Swift.

Wouldn't Change a Thing by Demi Lovato/Joe Jonas is meant to go along with the song's placement in Camp Rock 2: basically this is when they sort of break up from their no strings attached thing.

jar of hearts by Christina Perry, When You're Gone by Avril Lavigne, and human by Christina Perry are their feelings of just being apart.

Habits (Stay High) by Tov Lo and Colors by Halsey is each of them realizing that they're not okay- but they don't really know why yet.

Hello by Adelle, Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer, Sorry by Halsey, and Back to December by Taylor Swift is the point where they want to apologize.

It's Not Too Late by Demi Lovato is, like in the movie, where they realize they have one more chance.

Back To You by Selena Gomez is their make up song.

Give Your Heart a Break by Demi Lovato, Love You Like A Love Song by Selena Gomez, Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding, and OWN MY MIND by Maneskin is them giving themselves to each other.

Last is Daidaidaidaidaisuki na kimi he (the theme song for The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You) is the ending song basically- the roll credits they're happy together! I figured you deserved an anime ending to this little story! Hopefully you can see the way it plays out in your head like I do in mine!
