Chapter Text
It was weird being somewhere where I had never been in my entire life. I could barely sleep and I was quietly waiting for the moment I would meet Luke. Leia said he was training and doing his own missions but I grew weary and annoyed as Diego and I waited.
"It's been two weeks and Skywalker is still a no-show." I heard Diego murmur under his breath as I read a book on the Resistance Leia had given me.
"Leia says he's busy." I responded and rolled my eyes and turned the next page.
"What's the point of reading that book?" I heard Diego's smile in his voice.
"She gave me the book, Leia did."
"Why read it if you don't believe in it?"
"I'm kinda curious about this."
"You're not one of them, are you?" Diego sarcastically asked and chuckled.
"No, but it's kinda interesting," I began to answer and bookmarked the book and quickly closed it. "Seeing things from another's view." I finished and softly sighed, looking at him.
"Palpatine won't get mad at you?"
"No, he doesn't know."
"He could if he wanted to."
"Well, it's best to know your enemy."
"Why?" Diego asked as he furrowed his eyebrows.
"You can destroy them best that way," I answered, lazily shrugging.
