Chapter Text
It was a warm spring morning and there was chatter of excitement in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. The sun cast its warm glow through the windows, illuminating the class of the young heroes-in-training. Today was the day they had been eagerly waiting for – the announcement of their upcoming field trip!
Izuku Midoriya, sitting at his desk smiled brightly with his eyes sparkling with curiosity. “I wonder where we’re going this time!” he muttered to himself.
Beside him, Ochaco Uraraka bounced in her seat, her gravity quirk itching to be used. “I hope it’s somewhere with lots of open space! I’ve been working on my aerial maneuvers and I can’t wait to show them off!”
Katsuki Bakugo scowled. “Whatever. I’ll be the best there. No one’s gonna outshine me,” he said, cracking his knuckles with a smirk.
Shota Aizawa strolled into the room looking like he wanted to be anywhere but there. He held a stack of papers in his hands, and the students immediately straightened up, excited to hear the location of the next field trip.
“Alright, listen up,” Aizawa said, his voice cutting through the chatter. “We’ve got a field trip planned for next week. Pack your bags, because we’re heading to a special training facility just outside the city.”
Cheers erupted from the class and soon questions started to fly around the room.
“Will there be obstacle courses?”
“Are there special training grounds?”
“Can we use our quirks to the max?”
Aizawa raised a hand to silence them, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “All your questions will be answered in the next few days. But first, I need each of you to take one of these permission slips.”
He began hand out the forms, each student passing one to the others. “These need to be signed by your parents or guardians,” he explained. “There are several risks associated with this new training area. More importantly, you all know the drill. Make sure your parents understand the importance of keeping this confidential. We don’t want any unwanted attention from the villains, especially the league.”
After the bell rang and Class 1-A was dismissed, Izuku wasted no time pulling out his phone, his fingers dancing across the screen as he dialed the familiar number. He glanced down at the permission slip in his other hand, the words ‘Field Trip Authorization’ printed boldly across the top.
The phone rang several times before a familiar voice answered on the other end. “Hello?” came the gruff voice of Hisashi Midoriya.
“Dad! I hope I didn’t call you at a bad time!”
“Izu! Of course not, I’m a bit surprised because we usually talk on the weekends. Is everything alright?”
“Yeah. Sorry to startle you. Guess what? I'm going on a field trip next week with the class!”
There was a brief pause before Hisashi responded. “A field trip, you say? That sounds like fun. Where are you going?” he asked curiously.
Izuku’s eyes lit up as he explained. “We’re heading to a training facility just outside the city! It’s supposed to have special grounds for hero training and All Might will be there to help us too.”
Hisashi chuckled softly on the other end of the line. “Sounds like it’ll be a great opportunity for you to test out your quirk and learn some new skills. Just make sure to stay safe, okay?”
“I know. Oh, I uh called because of the permission slip. Apparently you need to read it over and sign at the bottom. Did you get an email from UA?”
“Ah. Give me a moment.” Izuku could hear typing noises. “Here it is. Confidential message right?”
“Yeah! Just have it signed as soon as you can.”
“Izuku. I mean it, be careful. Don’t give your poor mother another thing to worry about.”
Izuku rolled his eyes. “Yeah I know Dad. I’ll be extra cautious I promise.”
“Alright then. I’ll sent it over as soon as I can. I love you.”
With a final goodbye, Izuku ended the call, a smile lighting up his face as he tucked his phone back into his pocket. He made his way back to the dorms, running into Iida and Yaomomo who were planning the trip.
Unknown to the young heroes, a malicious grin spread across a shadowy figure. All For One, the notorious villain secretly known as Hisashi Midoriya, tapped his fingers against his chin as he looked over the permission form on his monitor.
“A field trip? At this stage of the battle?” he muttered to himself, when a glimmer of opportunity sparked within him. “How idiotic,” he continued.
The doctor came into the room and instantly sensed the boss making new plans. “What is it that I can for you sir?”
“Gather the League of Villains,” he commanded. “We have a better opportunity to strike.”
With a predatory gleam in his eyes, the doctor leaned in forward. “Consider it done.”
