Work Text:

“San, a table needs their order taken. They have a child who’s allergic to like everything, so be careful with that.” A sigh leaves him as he finishes wiping the diner’s front counter and nods in response to Hongjoong. The restaurant isn’t as busy, but the orders today happen to be more complicated than usual. But thankfully, he has yet to run into rude customers who use him being an omega waiter to look down on him.

Sending a smile to Seonghwa, who gives him a sympathetic one as he takes orders at the counter, he moves to a family of four with rowdy kids. “Hello, I’ll be your server today. May I take your order?” The stressed-looking mom does a look that’s more of a grimace than a smile and starts ordering as he expected, another complicated order.

Hongjoong wasn’t lying when he said one of the kids was allergic to almost everything. San wondered why they would even come out to eat. He’s finishing the order when he feels eyes on him and looks up to see who he assumes is the husband, checking him out. It doesn’t surprise him, but makes him uncomfortable, he quickly leaves after getting the order.

He’s used to receiving looks and suggestive comments, but he hates it. It’s typical for an unmated omega to be vulnerable to these things since their scents aren’t carrying any alpha one to show that they’re taken. But this is just his life, and it’s been for a while.

Walking into the back, Hongjoong and Mingi are decorating their seasonal pancakes. San hangs up the order next to the others and leans against the wall to watch them while he waits. “How was the order with the family? The husband is a creep, right?” He laughs at his other omega friend's disgusted face.

Hongjoong used to face the exact problems like him until he and Seonghwa became official. “He was. I can’t believe he did it in front of his wife. Luckily, you have your strong alpha to save you from those situations now.” Hongjoong stares off and completely forgets about the pancakes.

“I know right? He’s amazing. I used to be so tsundere to the whole wanting and needing an alpha thing. But I see the hype now, you know? Seonghwa treats me so well, and he’s so sweet but also is quick to show a different side to anyone who tries to bother me.” Their tallest friend playfully sulks.

“I love you and Seonghwa hyung’s relationship. San and I are still single and want exactly that. It must be nice to have a good alpha, they seem almost impossible to find these days.” That San can agree with. Any offer from an alpha has been so they can announce they found an omega to claim.

He’s not sure if real love is something he will ever experience, but he wants to. “Sorry guys, I’m just so excited about this relationship. But I know you both will find an alpha who will treat you like you deserve. And I expect you two to settle for nothing less until then.”

They’re both nodding to their shorter friend and saying how happy they are for him and Seonghwa. “How are things going with you and your parents, San? I know they were bombarding you with questions regarding the whole finding a mate thing.” He only looks sadly at Hongjoong’s question.

San loves his parents so much that he only wants to make them proud. And lately, the topic of him being twenty-four and still having no alpha or plans to have children has been occurring. It worries him each time because he doesn’t know if that will be in his future.

He knows how much they want him to get mated for his safety and future grandchildren. But San hasn’t even lost his virginity yet, the thought of just accepting any alpha and letting them take something so sacred to him away is scary. “I still can’t give them any answers, hyung. Every alpha I have met wants my body or to display me to their people. I don’t want to disappoint them, but I’m not sure if I can give them what they ask of me.”

There are sad looks from Mingi and Hongjoong as they probably can smell his peach scent becoming rotten from distress. “That must be a stressful situation, San. But don’t give up, okay? I believe everyone has someone who’s meant to be their mate.” Mingi starts looking in thought.

“You know, I bet there’s better alphas in the city. I mean, Seonghwa’s from there, and he’s wonderful. There have to be more, right? I feel we’ve been sheltered and haven’t gotten to explore the options we could have.” That’s true. Most of San’s life has been in their little town where everyone seems to know each other. Besides small trips to different towns, he’s never been to the city.

And now that he thinks about it. He remembers going with a little boy who was his age during those trips with both of their families. They were best friends, but he soon moved away to the city, and San never heard of him again. He doesn’t remember his name, but he thinks his mom may have pictures of them.

Part of San wonders what happened to him, he still has a memory of the boy, but he’s sure he probably looks completely different now. San also wonders what his secondary gender turned out to be, considering they last saw each other when they were ten, and no one presents until they’re eighteen.

Maybe he’s one of those good alphas in the city, or an omega, could be even a beta. He doesn’t remember much of the boy’s features but could say he had a little crush on him even though he was unsure of his sexuality during those years. Hongjoong’s excited voice takes him from his thoughts of childhood.

“You’re right, Mingi! I say we visit the city and find you two some good alphas. Because these stinky old ones aren’t going to do for my babies.” That wouldn’t be the worst plan, but it would also be nerve-wracking to put himself out there enough to search for one. “Maybe, if we have free time. But hyung, why does Seonghwa hyung work here if he lives in the city? Aren’t there better jobs there?”

Hongjoong starts preparing the food while he stands up straight to tie his apron that is coming loose, knowing he will have to serve the food soon. “It’s funny actually. He told me a year ago, he decided to visit this diner, saw me, and got a job here to get close and hopefully pursue me. The city isn’t too far from here, only forty-five minutes away, but Seonghwa likes staying at my place here more than his.”

That’s sweet and is something San wishes someone would do for him. “Hyung must have been in love, but who wouldn’t be with you and your amazing jasmine scent? I think he even enjoys your occasional sassiness.” They’re laughing and handing San plates on a large tray, which he’s become an expert at carrying. “Thanks, Sannie. And I think he does, too. Good luck out there, and call us if you have a problem.” He’s winking at him as Mingi opens the door so San can leave to the tables.

He hands out all the dishes, politely but quickly leaves the table of the family with the husband, who’s trying to talk to him. San will never understand how some alphas feel so entitled to any omega time and body. Thankfully, he doesn’t have any more orders right now and decides to move and rest against the counter with Seonghwa while they watch the cars outside travel back and forth on the main road to and from the city.

“What’s it like living in the city?” Seonghwa smiles softly at his curiosity, his warm vanilla scent smells good. It’s an interesting smell to have as an alpha, and San likes it. So many alphas here have overwhelming scents that it’s nice to be around soft ones.

“It’s loud like no one is ever sleeping from the many things to do. There are so many lights, the sight can be quite compelling if you enjoy that. I like it, but when I visit here, the quiet and calmness is just as nice. But I recommend you visit, a change of scenery can be good. I take Hongjoong there sometimes, and he has a blast.”

San rests his head on his palm as he pictures himself walking and driving through a city that never sleeps at night with tall buildings and lights. But then he imagines a faceless alpha who’s there with him, making sure he has fun but also stays safe. That causes his scent to sweeten and Seonghwa to smile at him brighter, knowing he was picturing it.

“Thanks for describing it. I might go someday, see something new.” Before the alpha can respond, loud sounds of cars speeding down the road are heard, getting the attention of everyone in the diner. Then, through the window, three fast and nice cars pull into the parking lot beside each other.

San is in awe, he’s never seen such cars like that outside of movies. It makes him turn to Seonghwa to see if he’s thinking the same thing, but he keeps his easygoing expression. “Are you used to seeing cars like that? I feel like I should roll out a red carpet for the owners before they step inside.” Seonghwa chuckles while San’s squinting to try to see inside the very tinted car windows.

“I am. And know who they are. I street race sometimes with them.” San’s almost about to knock over the organized utensils at the alpha’s statement. His eyes are now focused on Seonghwa in shock as he’s about to reply. But the ding of the diner door going off makes his head shoot to the entrance, where a group of men walk in.

There are four of them, two are hanging in the back and wrapped up in each other’s embrace, while the other two are walking in the front and casually talking. They all have to be alphas just from their mixed scents that also smell good. Not to mention, they all look like they should be on those big magazine covers.

Seonghwa gently guides San to the other side of him so he can get near the register where the men walk up. Now that they’re closer, San can’t help but keep his eyes on one of them. The man is handsome, he has long dark hair that falls effortlessly around his face and could put an actual model to shame. And since he’s the closest to where San is, he gets a whiff of bergamot and decides that it’s a scent he really likes.

When he talks, something is bothering San. His brain is trying to remember something, but he doesn’t know what. He ignores it and listens to the conversation. “What’s up, Seonghwa? We decided to come try this place out after you mentioned it. You coming to the next race in a few weeks?” San may have been staring too hard because one of the alphas in the back notices and looks his way. He quickly looks away and pretends to fix the already organized napkin holders. In a way, they remind him of Seonghwa but a little less reserved.

His eyes also can’t stay away from the alpha who’s talking the most. “Hey, guys. I’m glad you came, you won’t be disappointed. We have the best food here. And no, I’ll be there next time, taking Hongjoong out for a date that night.” There are sounds of understanding from the group before Seonghwa starts taking their orders.

The tallest one out of them is ordering, and the one San keeps looking at moves and takes a seat right in front of him. “Those napkins look pretty organized to me.” He’s smiles as San's cheeks burn, and he moves back to stop fiddling with the holders. “Oh, uh yeah. Usually have trouble with them, wanted to make sure they don’t mess up or anything.”

The alpha’s eyes never leave him as he leans forward and cutely turns his head to the side. “You look familiar. Have we met before, San?” He must have read his name tag as his eyes went down to it before looking back at him. But San could ask him the same thing, considering everything about him feels familiar, yet he doesn’t have one memory of where he could have met an alpha like him in this town.

“I’m not sure. I don’t think I have ever met a city person like you besides Seonghwa hyung.” San wants to cover up and hide as he becomes shy with the handsome alpha’s lingering gaze. There’s only a nod from him as he lazily leans back and starts tapping on the counter.

“Guess we haven’t met then. But maybe we can now. The name’s Wooyoung. You heard of street racing?” There’s a permanent cheeky grin on his face, and San likes it. It’s not cocky, just an outgoing person excited to meet new people. “Nice to meet you, Wooyoung. And I have only seen it on TV. Do you guys do it? Those cars you have are fast.”

Wooyoung makes him want to open up and talk. The alpha doesn’t intimidate him at all, and his citrus scent is welcoming. “It’s a pleasure to meet you as well. And we do. Usually on weekends at different locations. You should come sometimes, it can be exhilarating.” Going to a street race is something that he would have never thought he would do, but maybe he will go.

“I’m sure it is. But I imagine being in the car is even more thrilling. I might come to one with Seonghwa hyung sometime.” All three of the other guys, who finished talking to Seonghwa, come to sit beside him, greeting San. “That's true. The close-up experience is so much better than just looking from afar. Maybe I can take you for a ride if you’re interested.”

He’s flirting. San knows he is as he smirks with a hint of playful mischief flashing in his eyes. The taller alpha beside him sees it and rolls his eyes while San blushes and looks down to find playing with the end of his apron more interesting. Seonghwa hands him papers of the alphas' orders, and he mumbles, “Maybe,” in response to Wooyoung’s question before excusing himself.

San hurriedly walks back to where his two omega friends are watching videos and handing them the new orders. “What’s got you all flushed? Your scent is so sweet, too.” Mingi is coming close and sniffing him as he shyly moves back to lean against the wall and wait for the orders. “There are some city alphas out there. I guess you spoke it into existence, Mingi.”

The tall omega lights up at that, and Hongjoong starts to make the food but looks just as curious. “Really? Are they hot? Do any of them seem like my type? You know my type. Is that why you’re all blushy and sweet?! You found a hot alpha who’s your type out there!” Mingi is no longer by Hongjoong and instead is trying to peek out the door without getting seen, but San stops him.

“First of all, you overexcited wild cherry, you need to calm down. Just help me bring their food out, and you’ll see the tall, blonde, and handsome alpha who’s exactly your type.” That only makes the other squeal in excitement, it’s a cute sight, to be honest. Hongjoong giggled at him, probably thinking the same.

“You see, I never believe in the whole fate thing, but maybe I should because my dream man may just be out there wanting a vanilla milkshake with fries- a little plain, but we can work around that.” He looks offended at the order San handed him as he finally moves to start helping their hyung. “You’re something else, Song. But to answer one of your many questions, yes, there’s an alpha out who’s exactly my type and is also so familiar to me, but I have no memory of who he is.”

Hongjoong lifts his eyebrows and looks back, “From childhood, perhaps? Didn’t you say you had a close friend before you met us?” Wooyoung being the boy who moved away? The chance is low but not impossible, he will have to find the old pictures and see if they look similar to the man in the front diner.

“There’s a possibility, but I don’t know. Wouldn’t that be strange if so? He happens to come to this small town and meet me again…” He stares off, the chance becoming a little bit higher for him. “Of course not. It would simply mean that you two are meant to be, and you have found your future mate, Sannie.”

Another tray is being put in his hands, “Now, let’s go and see these alphas. Come on.” Mingi pushes open the door while holding one of the trays with one hand. San mutters, “Show off,” when he sees the tall alpha looking at him impressively. They walk up to the group who was talking to Seonghwa still and place their items down.

“Here’s your fries and milkshake, a little plain in my opinion, but hey, I like rocky road, so I’ll probably be called chaotic.” San watches as the blonde alpha chuckles at Mingi’s statement before smirking. “What’s wrong with a guy liking a little vanilla?” Mingi hums and looks in faux thought before fluttering his eyelashes and leaning closer to the alpha. “I guess nothing if you enjoy it.”

San knows they’re flirting, and are using sexual innuendos at that. It makes him quickly move away from them and go to check on the other customers. In a way, he wishes he could be that bold and go for what he wants, like his friend. The tall omega never shies away from advances and probably has much more experience, San never even been kissed before.

There have been offers, but the fear of giving himself away to an alpha who will be a temporary fling stopped him. It does make him embarrassed being his age and not experiencing half of the things omegas usually do once they turn eighteen. But his friends have reassured him that everyone has their own pace and they understand his reasons.

The customers at the tables leave and tip generously, him wiping the table after they’re gone. Well, he thought all of them had left until the husband from earlier came back inside. Walking up and standing behind San to reach around him and grab the coat he must have left that San hadn’t noticed.

But he could care less right now because as he was bending over a little to wipe the table more, he felt the man's hot breath on his neck, and as he purposely pushed up against San before his hand went to slide over his butt. He quickly spun around and pushed the man back, getting the attention of Mingi and all the alphas at the counter. “What the hell? Don’t touch me like that.” The older man's eyes stayed predatory on him and only leaned closer, pinning him against the table.

“Come on, sweet thing. I’ll give you an extra tip for your time.” San starts to panic when the alphas, who are sitting at the counter, are now behind the man, and Wooyoung is harshly pulling him away from San. “You better turn that way and start walking towards the door if you know what’s good for you, asshole. He said to leave him alone, and you ignored him, now you’re my problem.”

Wooyoung’s once nice scent is now a sour smell, and he looks pissed off as the man lifts his hands and starts walking away. The door to the diner shuts again, and San breathes again but is still slightly shaken at what happened. Thinking about the way that man touched him as if he owned him is upsetting, he feels his eyes starting to become blurry and quickly leaves for the restroom.

As soon as he’s inside, he’s falling to the floor and covering his mouth to keep his cries quiet. He hates being an omega in a world that treats them like free prizes. Like his body belongs to any alpha that wants it because he’s unmated. The restroom door opens, and he smells jasmine and cherry, which calms him immediately.

He’s pulled into arms while his back is rubbed. “You’re okay, Sannie. I’m so sorry, I didn’t see him come back in. No one should ever touch you like that without your consent. I swear if that bastard tries to step a foot back in here, we’re beating his ass together.” Tissue wipes his tears away, and Hongjoong pets his hair.

He’s calming down, his friends’ scents that they’re releasing more are putting him at ease. “Thanks. And it’s okay, Mingi. It happened so fast that I didn’t even get time to react and got caught off guard. I’m grateful for those alphas taking up for me. I should go thank them.” They’re all standing up as Hongjoong holds his face in his hands. “You okay to go out now? They are worried about you.”

He’s sniffing and nodding before they lead him out of the bathroom and back to where it’s just the group of guys and Seonghwa. They all look worried when they see him, especially Wooyoung, who stares off with an angry expression until he sees San and tries to calm his scent down. He walks up to them, feeling nervous at the attention and embarrassed from running away.

“Um, hey, I just wanted to thank you guys for taking up for me. I know you were enjoying your meal, I’m sorry for the inconvenience.” There are multiple replies of them all saying it’s no problem and that they’re just glad he’s okay. “Yeah, I hate alphas like that. It’s why I’m glad my family left this place when I was younger. I’m sorry you had to deal with that, San.”

Those words were all he had to hear to know this was his childhood best friend and crush. When Wooyoung sends him a comforting smile, he has a flashback of that exact smile while they are sitting in the backseat and eating ice cream after San had fell and hurt himself. But he only smiles back at Wooyoung and says thank you before heading in the back with Hongjoong and Mingi to clean up for the day since it’s getting dark and the diner is about to close.

“Guys, it’s him. That smile, I remember it vividly now. He looks so different yet the same, I don’t know how I didn’t remember faster.” His friends quickly finished what they were doing before coming up to him and pulling on him. “Oh my god, San! It is fate, this is like the start of a love story. You have to talk to him and see if he remembers you, like now, actually.”

He timidly agrees, and Mingi leaves before coming back with a look that means he just did something to put a plan into action. “Turns out those lights switches for outside aren’t working right now, so I’ll need you to go out there and turn them on manually, please. Maybe a certain alpha can go with you for your safety, of course!” San only giggles at his friend's plan and says he will be back before walking out to the front.

He guessed this was the time when he had to be bold as he walked up to Wooyoung, who was checking out the jukebox the diner had. His hands are fidgeting as Wooyoung turns towards him. “Hey, if it’s not too much to ask. Would you mind accompanying me outside to turn on the diner lights? The switches to turn them on inside aren’t working right now.”

The alpha perks up at that and completely abandons the jukebox. “Sure! Let’s go.” They walk to the entrance, and he opens the door for him. There are two lights they walk up to, and San flicks a small switch that turns them on, lighting up the parking lot and the nice cars the alphas arrived in.

Wooyoung moves to lean up against his and gestures for San to come join him, which he does with a shy smile. “Thanks for coming out here with me. Is this the car you race with? It looks in good shape.” Wooyoung turns to the side to face him more and pats the top of the car. “No problem, and yep, this the one. I always try to keep it good after a race by going to my main mechanic.”

San nods, taking a deep breath, “So, uh, this is random and I could be very wrong about it, but I think we know each other from childhood? I used to have this close friend who reminded me of you when I was ten, but then he moved to the city, and I never saw him again. Do you happen to be him?”

Wooyoung is staring at him more now as if trying to remember, and then he’s looking ecstatically at San. “I knew you looked familiar to me! Hold up, I think I have a picture of us that my mom gave me.” He takes out his phone from his back pocket and clicks different things until his eyes light up at something he’s looking at before his phone turns to San.

There’s a picture of him and Wooyoung when they were younger at a lake fishing. Both have hats and boots that are too big for their bodies but look carefree as they hold a large fish together. “I forgot about that, but now all the memories are coming to me. It’s really you…did you like moving to the city? I’m sure it was way different from here.”

Wooyoung has a bittersweet look, “I was upset at first, didn’t want to leave you or this place. But I soon learned that my family had no plans of moving back here and made peace with being there. I like it, it’s a restless city, which matches me. But it was nice to come back here today and see the quiet scenery and meet you again.”

He’s closer, and San can see the beauty marks on his face in the low street lights. “I was just as upset when you left but soon met more friends and found it easier to stay here. I feel like there’s so much more that I haven’t got to experience in this small town. But meeting you again was a surprise and a nice twist to my usual routine.”

Wooyoung looks at San as if he’s the only one he sees and is thinking about right now. “Well, I hope you will accept that ride I offered earlier. I can take you to the city. Everyone should have a good experience that they will remember forever.”

San feels crazy about how he plans to accept Wooyoung’s offer. He doesn’t usually just recklessly say yes to things without taking at least a few days to think about it. But something is telling him that there’s an opportunity of a lifetime from this, that he should go for it. “I would like that. And I would like to get to know you again if that’s okay. Maybe we can exchange numbers?”

The alpha nods happily and goes to his contacts before handing San his phone. “Why not make up for lost time? I think we can be just as close as we were when we were younger. You still have that personality that made me want to get to know you the first time.” San puts his number into Wooyoung’s phone, and the alpha does the same with his.

“I’m glad you don’t think I changed besides my secondary gender.” His phone is given to him with a new contact of Wooyoung, a car emoji with smoke behind it beside the name. “That doesn’t exactly define you, so I hardly see it as a change. There’s so much more to us than that, but I think the people here are so traditional that they forget it. It’s different in the city, everyone gets treated the same regardless of their secondary gender, it’s why I like living there.”

That sounds nice, to be in a place where you don’t have to have the anxiety of leaving your home in fear that you catch the eyes of a bad alpha. Or to have to be reminded of your set roles and how you’re supposed to be as an omega. “I hope to move to the city one day, then. This may always be my home, but I think I could make a new one away from it and enjoy being there.”

The diner door opens, and voices come out before he looks to see two of the guys who came with Wooyoung walk up to them. The two alphas that he has yet to talk to are cuddling up with each other again. The one with more feminine features is wrapped in the arms of the intimidating-looking one.

But when he smiles, it’s a cute gummy one, and San doesn’t find him hard to talk to anymore. “Hi, I don’t think we got a chance to talk in the diner. I’m San. It’s nice to meet you.” He’s surprised to see alphas being so close, it makes him curious about them and their relationship. The soft feature one speaks, “It’s nice to meet you, San. I’m Yeosang, and this one who looks like he doesn’t want to be bothered but is a darling, is my boyfriend, Jongho.”

Jongho pouts but smiles at him, “It’s nice meeting you. And I’m sorry about that weirdo alpha earlier, I promise we’re all not like that.” Yeosang nods while he gives them both soft smiles. “I know. But I’m used to it, for some reason those types of alphas are just here. I can tell you guys aren’t like that. Please come back to the diner sometime, we enjoyed you being here.” They’re wishing him goodnight before telling Wooyoung they were heading home and leaving to one of the cars.

“Are you all close friends?” They watch Jongho get in the driver seat and Yeosang in the passenger before the car speeds down the dark countryside roads. “We are. I met them a few years after I moved. We were inseparable after that, and all happened to have a passion for street racing.” He replies, “That’s nice,” but Wooyoung must know he wants to ask something else because he looks at him encouragingly.

“Are Yeosang and Jongho dating? Not that I find it a problem, it’s fascinating to me if they are, never seen that before.” The alpha looks surprised as both of his eyebrows raise. “You really were sheltered in this small town, huh? A person’s secondary gender doesn’t matter in the city. Alphas date alphas, omegas date omegas, and betas can date betas. I don’t think anyone should be stopped from loving someone all because of that, you can’t help what you feel at the end of the day.”

Every time Wooyoung mentions something new about the city, he gets more and more excited to have a future in it. There’s a whisper of “Cute,” from the alpha when he sees how San’s eyes light up, making some of the shyness he had appear again. “So, to answer your question, yes, they’re in a relationship. I’m pretty sure they have been together for six years now. Got together before they presented and even after, kept what they had.”

He’s looking in thought before meeting San’s eyes again. “I can’t wait to take you to see the city. You deserve to see the things beyond this place.” It sounds so real that it lights a feeling in San, something he hasn’t felt with any alpha before. “Thanks, I can’t wait to go. Also, my mom is going to be so happy when I tell her about seeing you again.”

They start walking back towards the entrance of the diner, where Mingi is animatedly talking to Yunho, who looks interested in every word he’s saying. Hongjoong and Seonghwa are feeding each other a slice of pie. “I’m sure my mom will have the same reaction. She never stopped talking about you and your family.” He’s smiling at Wooyoung before taking off his apron to put it up and grabbing his coat from behind the counter.

“Ugh, what a day, and to do it again tomorrow. But at least we’ll be close for the weekend soon,” Mingi cheered. San forgot that the diner would be closing a few weeks from now, for a while. Their manager came in yesterday and said it was for construction, but they will get paid leave for the inconvenience. “This can get so exhausting. I am willing to have a baby just so I can get maternity leave.”

A spoon is thrown at Hongjoong, who glares at Mingi, who throws it. “Absolutely not, hyung. You will not be popping out any babies and leaving me and San to fend for ourselves.” The oldest omega throws the spoon back at Mingi. “I was joking. I worked too hard for this body to let a little gremlin ruin it.”

Now Seonghwa is sulking and muttering about how their child wouldn’t be a gremlin, and San can only escape the whole conversation by leaving them and going to the back to make sure everything has been turned off. Those conversations always make him feel weird.

It’s not something he rejects, but it’s something that’s been a struggle because of his anxiety about never finding someone who will actually love him. And speaking of mating, his heat should be coming up soon since he got a reminder on his phone calendar yesterday regarding it. It’s why his scent has been sweeter and his emotions everywhere.

He tends to get emotional during his heat, and the pain doesn’t help the crying sessions that happens. They say having an alpha will calm the symptoms, but he’s never let any get near him during them. Usually locks himself up in his room and cries it out while awkwardly trying to touch himself. There was a sigh from him at the thought of having to go through another one alone.

Walking back to where everyone is, they’re now all near the door and waiting for him. “Ready to go, Sannie?” Mingi asked after waving bye to the tall alpha, whom he never got the name of. He and Mingi share a townhouse, so they always drive to and from work with each other. “Yes. I’m exhausted.” There are agreeing sounds as they all leave the diner. Hongjoong and Seonghwa tell them all goodnight before heading to the car.

San now notices how nice Seonghwa’s car is and how it looks like it’ll be a part of a racing event like the other alphas. Mingi tells him that he’s going to the car as Wooyoung walks back up to him. “If you’re okay with it, could you let me know that you guys made it home safe?” Butterflies feel like they flutter in his stomach at those simple but sweet words.

“I will, thanks. I’ll see you again soon, right?” He bites his lip and nervously looks away, realizing how desperate that might have sounded. But the gorgeous alpha only looks just as eager and shakes his head. “You will. Seonghwa was right about you guys having great food. And I want to get to know you better again. Goodnight, San.”

He doesn’t understand how Wooyoung does it, but he has this charm to him that can get the attention of anyone. “Me too. Goodnight, Wooyoung.” The alpha waits until he gets in the car, and they lock the doors before he goes to his own and drives from the diner behind them, his car going in the opposite direction from theirs.

“San, I’m going to need you to pinch me to make sure I’m not dreaming and that we did meet alphas who could be our potential future mates!” San tiredly reaches over and pinches Mingi, who immediately starts whining. “You asked me too. And yes, there’s a possibility that those alphas could be the one for us. What was the tall one’s name anyway?”

He knows the chance for Mingi is higher but isn’t so sure for himself. He’s had so many disappointments with love that San is starting to think he is the problem. But maybe, and it’s a small maybe, he could try one more time, and succeed with Wooyoung. “It’s Yunho. Isn’t that such a nice name for him? I like how it sounds when I say it. I’m so dreaming of him tonight, I think I’m in love already, Sannie.”

His hand moves to pat Mingi’s arm as they pull into the driveway of their home. “From what I saw, he looked just as interested. I’m sure you guys will be great together.” They leave the car with their things and walk to the door that Mingi unlocks so they can step inside their home, which always relaxes him after a long day.

“I hope so. How about you and Wooyoung? Did he remember you? He seemed enamored already.” San shrugs but is flushed as he takes off his jacket to hang up and shoes to sit on their shoe shelf. “He did. Showed me a picture his mom had given him of us when we were little. We decided to get to know each other again and exchange numbers. But I don’t know if we can be anything more than friends.”

He lies his head on Mingi as they fall on the couch together. “Well, don’t lose hope already. He seems like a great alpha, and with the way he stood up for you, you won’t have to ever worry about being bothered. Just see where you two go, don’t resist it.”

A yawn comes from the tall omega, “And it’s not every day someone runs into their childhood friend/crush and finds them just as amazing as they were when you were younger. This is destiny, San. But for now, let’s go to sleep.” He makes a sound that sounds like an okay as they tiredly part ways to go to their rooms.

San barely gets ready for bed before he falls on it. His energy always goes out faster when his heat is coming up. It can be so intense that he feels early symptoms weeks in advance and can hardly get out of bed the first three days. But on the last two, the pain lessens, and his head becomes more clear.

Weirdly, during those days, he starts trying to organize and clean things. For the most part, Mingi tries to give him space, but when he starts getting anxious, his friend will come and get him to settle down again. Overall, it’s an exhausting five days, and his body that usually feels strong gets weak, making him spend hours in the gym afterward.

There was a time when he looked like the perfect little omega, and he hated it. It was harder for him to get his body where it is now but he did it, though some softness will just never leave him since his body was made to be that way. That sadly attracted alphas who wanted to show that they were over him and stronger no matter how much he changed.

But his mind goes to the sweet one he met tonight and grew up with for ten years. To be honest, San wouldn’t have thought Wooyoung would be an alpha, but at the same time, he always had this hotheaded and strong personality alongside his charming one. He can see it more than ever now compared to when they were only ten. The alpha is smaller than many of the ones he’s seen here, but his aura is so big that he looked like he was towering over that creep earlier.

It’s attractive, he’s attractive, and San wouldn’t mind seeing where they can go as they get closer if Wooyoung wants more with him. Yawning, he rolls over and pulls one of his many plushies to his chest. They have been his cuddle buddies for most of his life other than the occasional ones with his friends. But maybe that can change someday, San has a little more hope now that it could.

“So I told him, if you want me to be a housewife then you better put a ring on it. And he had the nerve to say in that stupid alpha voice, “Well, first, you have to have housewife qualities blah blah blah.” You look young, don’t get tied down with a no-good alpha…” San was supposed to just take this lady’s order, but being the caring person he is, he decided to ask if she was okay after smelling how sad her rose scent was.

That turned into her ranting to him about her alpha, and he was listening until the diner door opened, and Wooyoung walked in looking striking. He’s in a flowy button-up shirt that shows some skin, with an expensive chain around his neck and shades holding his hair back. San hates when he’s close to his heat because seeing and being near an alpha affects him, badly. It’s also been weeks since the other came to the diner.

“Hey, are you okay? Did my ranting zone you out?” He snaps his head towards the lady after Wooyoung nods towards him in greeting and heads to the counter where Seonghwa and Mingi are. Then the door opens again, and Yunho walks in, dressing just as expensive. “I’m sorry, and no, I didn’t mind listening. I hope he sees that you’re someone who deserves that ring. Is this all you want for your order?”

She’s looking satisfied and happier, thankfully. “I’m glad someone gets it, and no, thanks, that’ll be all. You’re lovely, don’t settle for anything less than you know you’re worth, honey.” He’s bowing and telling her thank you before leaving to the back. Hongjoong is rapping some song he’s never heard of but stops and greets him happily. “New order, finally. I peeked out and saw that woman talking your head off. You’re too nice, Sannie.”

He hands the order to his hyung, “You’re so good at rapping. Why are you in this little town working at a diner? And yeah, she can talk, but I would have felt bad leaving her alone while she was upset.” A hand squeezes his cheek, “My sweet boy. And maybe in another life, I’ll get to become something bigger. Sadly, in this one, omegas should only have the basic skills of cooking, cleaning, and catering to an alpha.”

That causes a deep frown to come on his face. It’s not like his hyung is wrong, but maybe things are different from this old place. “What if there’s a chance to do what we truly wanted away from here, hyung? Has Seonghwa hyung ever told you how omegas are in the city?” Hongjoong looks as if he’s reminiscing on something before turning to him.

“I have never asked. But now that I think about it. When he took me, I saw so many omegas doing different things freely, even one who looked like a boss. So maybe there is a chance to go for what I truly want.” He’s staring off in the small kitchen window, and San can understand how he’s feeling.

“Then perhaps you can move there with Seonghwa hyung one day and start your music career. I have heard some of the things you made, hyung, and they need to be heard.” Hongjoong walks up to him and locks their hands together, “I could, but I’m not leaving you and Mingi behind. You guys have to come with me or going will be pointless.” His eyes are watering, and Hongjoong only smiles and hugs him. “Your heat is soon, isn’t it? It’s the only time you start getting so emotional.”

He nods, and they move to finish the order they have. “Yeah, I hate it. But at least it won’t be again for another couple of months. Also, I think all of us moving together won’t be so bad.” It will be scary, but what new thing isn’t? San wants more for his life and staying in this place won’t bring many opportunities.

“It’ll be over before you know it. And I agree, we should discuss it more later with Mingi.” He couldn’t ask for a better hyung who’s the oldest omega and always cares for them. It is what makes him pull his smaller friend in another hug before picking up the tray and leaving. He tends to start wanting physical touch more during preheat.

When he walks back to the front and goes to hand the lady her order, Mingi's voice beckons him over to the small group at the counter. He moves over, and by his friends behind the counter, Wooyoung and Yunho are in the seats they were in a few weeks ago. “Hey, guys. Where’s your other two friends?” Both alphas smile, Wooyoung eyes never leaving him. San wonders if he even knows that he stares intensely at people sometimes.

“They’re on a date and decided to go early since we have a race tonight. It’s going to be here, you two should come. It starts thirty minutes after the diner closes.” San looks back at the clock on the wall that reads 7:45 pm. The diner closes at 8 pm, so the race is going to start soon. Mingi speaks before he can, “We would love to, give us the address, and we’ll be there.”

There’s no declining now, but he wanted to go anyway to see Wooyoung in action. Then he looks down at his clothing and back up to the alphas. “Is there like a dress code? You guys look expensive.” They’re both chuckling before Wooyoung leans forward and hotly fixes the shades on his head. “Nah, we just like to dress up and show off once we win, and we always win.” He’s winking, and San’s looking away.

Then Mingi’s arms are around him and pulling close. “San, if you’re worried about how you should dress and fit in, take off the sweater and just wear that tank top under it, you look sexy showing off your arms.” The hand around him pulls his sweater off his shoulder a little, and he quickly moves it back in place. His cheeks becoming dark when Wooyoung eyes focus on it.

“I’m fine like this, Mingi. It’s going to get cold anyway.” He knows what his friend is doing and sends a glare to him while he makes a naive expression. Yunho’s phone ding and he looks at it before replying to what he assumes is a message. “We should get going, Jongho and Yeosang are on the way there now. We’ll see you two soon.”

He’s sending Mingi one last look before standing up with Wooyoung to leave for their cars. “See you, come visit me before the race starts, alright? I could use the good luck.” All San can do is nod as the alphas leave, and Mingi is saying how cool they are. “Let’s hurry and close, I want to get there before it begins.”

His hand is taken, and he’s pulled in the back to start closing after the last customer leaves. By the time they’re all in the front, a message from Wooyoung with an address comes to his phone. “Now boys, please be safe out there and stay where there’s a lot of people, alright?” Hongjoong looks between them as they respond with “Yes, hyung.”

“Good, now go watch those hot alphas race and no funny business with them. Make them wait, it’s how you know what they truly want from you.” Mingi is whining, “Not even a little make-out session?” There was a huff from the oldest omega, “Fine. Kissing is okay but only kissing.” A small cheer comes from Mingi, and San shakes his head while Seonghwa looks amused at the whole conversation.

They all leave to their cars after, Mingi pulling up the address on the GPS before driving towards the location. The destination they end up at is full of people and cars. Mingi looks at him in a way that’s asking if he’s ready to leave the car and he gives a small smile before they get out, the cool night air hitting them again. There’s music playing from different cars and conversations coming from everywhere.

This is not a scene San is used to, and he can tell that the people here aren’t from his town, they all look so unique. Mingi has his hand and is leading them to where he guessed the alphas they met would be. San's eyes look in wonder at seeing people whose bodies are covered in piercings and tattoos. Many dress in a way that shows themselves off.

He wouldn’t be able to tell the secondary gender of anyone here unless he got a whiff of their scents because everyone seems to be treating each other equally. San likes it, he wouldn’t mind being in this kind of scene more. They finally get in an opening that has cars lined up with who he thinks are the owners of them sitting in and leaning against them.

They spot the four alphas huddled together by Wooyoung’s car, and Mingi pulls them in that direction. Jongho and Yeosang are there and says hey to them when they walk up. “Are you all racing tonight?” Mingi asked as he let go of San's hand now that they had found the group. “Just Wooyoung and I tonight. Jongho and Yeosang are going to be controlling the drones.” Yunho responds before a loud voice speaks.

It’s telling the racers to start preparing. They all separate, Mingi saying he will meet him back at this spot in a minute. Wooyoung gestures for him to come to the driver's side as he gets in with his window down. “I’m glad you came. How about we hang out a little after?” His nerves go up at the thought of what the hangout could consist of after the talk they had at the diner with Hongjoong but still shakes his head yes.

“Sure. Good luck out there, and be safe.” He finally realizes how dangerous this can be and only hopes Wooyoung gets back safely. But the alpha calm citrus helps with the nervous feeling, “Thanks, and I will see you when I get back, cutie.” San's heart flutters at the name as a loud horn is heard, and everyone in the cars gets ready. Wooyoung sends a cheeky look before he gets into focus mode.

Mingi comes to him and starts pulling him away from the cars and to the side where benches are filling up. “This is so cool, right? It’s going to start soon, and Yunho said we will be able to see on those large screens that are connected to the drones.” He looks at the screens now displaying the cars that are rumbling as a girl holds up two flags in front of them.

As soon as the horn goes off again, the flags go down and the cars speed off. “It is. I have never seen anything like this outside of movies. I hope they win tonight.” His eyes stay focused on the screen, and some people cheer when certain cars move to the front. Wooyoung and Yunho’s cars stay side by side and ahead of the other ones.

It goes all the way until the cars are back and past the finish line. San is surprised at how much time has passed when it says one hour on the screen. Many people are whooping and cheering as Wooyoung and Yunho step out of their cars and the intercom announces them as the winners.

They’re soon able to go back down and to the racers. When they walk up, a man is coming up to the two alphas and handing them stacks of money, which makes San's eyes widen. It had to have been in the thousands as Wooyoung opened one of his car's back doors and put it in a bag. “That was so cool, you guys are good. You didn’t even give the other racers a chance to catch up.”

Yunho looks shy at Mingi’s compliment, while Wooyoung has a proud look. Then he’s coming up to San. “I think you being here amplified my luck, this was my best race yet.” God, he’s such a flirt with his cute grin and lively eyes. “Well, I’m happy to have helped. Where do you want to hang out?” He looks and sees Mingi already back at the blonde alpha’s car.

Wooyoung looks over as well before speaking, “Will your friend mind if I take you away for a little while? There’s a beach nearby that has a great view at night.” San would have declined any other alpha, but this is Wooyoung, the one he had known since they were small babies. “I’ll text him, but yes, let’s go see that view.” The alpha scent heightens with delight as he leads San to the passenger door and opens it for him to get in.

He takes out his phone and sends a message to Mingi that he will be back. A text comes back quickly, telling him to have fun with a purple devil emoji, making him roll his eyes at his friend’s behavior. Wooyoung gets in soon, and he puts his phone up, now aware of how they’re in a closed space alone. The low music on the radio plays as he starts up the car and drives to where he guesses the beach is.

“I've never been to the beach at night, it’s not scary?” Wooyoung looks relaxed as he taps his hand on the wheel to the music. “Not to me. I like to come out here to think and get away from the noise.” The car pulls into a beach that Wooyoung parks the car on so they can get a close view of the water and what looks like a city in the distance.

San finds a gasps leaving his mouth at the sight. “Woah, is that the city? It’s so bright from here.” Wooyoung looks out into the distance with him, “It’s the outer parts of it, but the view is great. You want to go by the water?” San responds with a quick yes and takes off his sweater before getting out of the car and walking to where the loud waves are.

He closes his eyes as the salt water scent and wind pass over him. Then he remembers that he’s not alone and turns around to find Wooyoung walking up slowly with his eyes on him. “I think you put that city view to shame. You’re beautiful, San.” It catches him off guard, but he knows Wooyoung means it.

And if Wooyoung is being bold, why should he hold himself back? Everything he’s feeling with him feels different than how he’s ever felt with anyone else. “Thank you, I can say the same for you.” Wooyoung smiles and comes up to him until he’s close. San lifts his hand to put some of the alpha’s hair that fell in his face behind his ear.

“What’s life been like for you ever since I moved away?” He’s asking for permission to take his hand with his eyes, and San brings it out to him until their fingers lock together. And they fit like a perfect puzzle piece. “It’s been pretty mundane, but sometimes my friends and I will find a new hidden place and visit. I grew up focusing on my studies and was shy, so I never experienced much. Always wanted to keep my parents proud, lately, I feel like I have been messing up.”

Wooyoung eyebrows furrowed as he moved beside him so they could start walking the shore, hands still together. “If you’re okay with telling me, what makes you feel that way?” He finds himself wanting to tell Wooyoung anything he asks. The alpha seems so understanding, just like when they were younger.

“Well, since I’m an omega, I think they only want to make sure I’m safe in this world that can be dangerous for us. They want me to find a mate soon and always bring up the topic of grandchildren. But finding a mate has been unsuccessful for me, and I embarrassingly haven’t even had a first kiss yet. Was saving myself for the one because I don’t want to have any regrets.”

Wooyoung looks so attentive, as if nothing else matters. “That must be a lot to have to deal with. But waiting for your person isn’t embarrassing, it’s admirable.” He’s turning his head to stare off into the ocean before continuing. “I hope this doesn’t sound like a typical line alphas have said to you in the past to persuade you, but I feel a connection between us. Felt it the moment I walked into the diner and saw you. And it only brought back memories of how I felt about you when we were ten. I was planning to confess to you with a cringe love note and candy before I knew I had to move.”

He laughs to himself, and San is shocked but finds himself laughing as well. “I’ll admit that I felt the same way but thought I was going crazy for having feelings so fast. But I guess the ones I had for you only came back when we met again.” They stopped walking and are now facing each other again. A shiver runs through him, but he’s not sure if it’s from the lack of warmth or the way Wooyoung is looking at him.

The words escape before he can stop, but he doesn’t go back on them. “Will you kiss me?” The alpha looks taken back before holding his hand tighter. “You’ll let me be your first?” Memories of them laying outside on the grass in each other arms and staying up late to sneak out and meet run through his mind, and he decides that he’s never been more sure about something.

“I think it's only right. You were my first love, after all.” A hand comes up and touches the side of his neck as Wooyoung says, “Okay,” before soft lips are on his, and it feels like sparks go through him. The kiss deepens, and he pulls the alpha in more, his hands tightly clutching the loose button-up shirt. They’re soon pulling away, and San already wants more, wants those lips back on his.

“How was that for a first kiss?” There’s a soft grin on the other’s face, and San’s heart can’t beat faster. “I liked it. More, please?” The alpha leans in but only pecks the side of his mouth, much to his disappointment. “Of course, but let’s get in the car, yeah? You must be getting cold.” He feels like he’s in a trance as his eyes never leave those plush lips, but he says yes to Wooyoung’s suggestion.

The alpha takes them back to his car, and instead of opening the passenger door for San like before, he leads them both to the driver's side and gets in. He’s confused until Wooyoung pats his thigh, and he feels himself become red but proceeds to get inside and sit on top of him. The door closes, and a hand moves behind him to press a button that warms the car.

“This okay?” He brings his arms up to wrap around Wooyoung’s neck, “Yes. Kiss now?” There’s a chuckle before their lips are together again. And his whole body is relaxing as his hands rub up and down his sides. Minutes pass before they pull apart, and Wooyoung's lips go to his neck and shoulder. “You smell wonderful, like the sweetest peach.” Those words and lips that are kissing at his scent gland make a small moan pass his lips.

“My h-heat is starting Sunday, so it’s stronger now. But I like yours too, it’s a sweet citrus.” The alpha moves back to look at him. “Well, I’m glad you like mine, I know some alpha’s scents can be overwhelming to omegas near and during their heats.” They can, but Wooyoung has a scent that San wouldn’t mind having around.

“Are they rough to get through?” He looks genuinely curious, and any worry San had about being open to him is gone. “Usually, it is rare for me to have an easy one, considering I go through it alone. Mine always lasts for five days, and it’s hell every time.” Wooyoung seems like he’s thinking hard as his hand continues caressing San's sides.

“I heard that just having an alpha there can help. I know it puts you in a vulnerable position and mindset, and you need to have someone you trust. But if you need me, don’t hesitate to call, okay? I’ll be there for you to help with whatever you need me to.” He’s nodding before letting those doubtful thoughts stir up in him. Wooyoung isn’t demanding, he’s simply letting San know that he will be there if he needs him, and that’s comforting.

“Thanks. I feel lucky to have found you again. It almost feels like no time was lost, and we’re picking up where we left off, only older. Will it be weird to say that I want to see where we can go and if there’s a future for us as mates?” The alpha gazes sweetly at him, “Not at all, I want the same thing. How about we take that trip to the city tomorrow?”

San lights up at that. He thinks he could use a trip before being miserable in his room for days. “Sounds good. I could use some fun before trapping myself in the house.” They laugh, and he moves from Wooyoung’s lap and back into the passenger seat. “You ready to head back? I know you’re probably tired after working all day.” A yawn comes from San, and he shyly shakes his head, putting his sweater back on as the car starts up again and starts moving.

When the car pulls back into the spot they left, it’s emptier, and Mingi is sitting with Yunho in the alpha’s car talking. Wooyoung shuts the car off but doesn’t get out, choosing to turn to San instead. “I enjoyed hanging out with you tonight. I’ll come pick you up at 3 pm tomorrow. But until then, how does a goodbye kiss sound?” San leans in to kiss him one last time. “Me too. I’ll send you the address and be ready tomorrow. Goodnight, Wooyoung.” He gets out of the car, and Mingi hugs Yunho goodbye before they walk back to the car.

“You had fun on your little getaway with lover boy?” All Mingi has to see is San’s bashfulness before he gets dramatic. “Oh my god, San! You two kissed, didn’t you? This is such a romance novel in the making.” He only drags Mingi to their car, deciding to be the one who drives this time. “I did. We were at the beach, and it just happened. We went back to his car, I may have sat in his lap, and we made out more.”

Mingi's mouth looks like it’s permanently open now. “Wait till Hongjoong hears about this. He’s going to be like, “Oh, no, what happened to our innocent, Sannie.” Our innocent Sannie is one step closer to getting dicked down by his future mate, that’s what!” He ends up turning up the radio loudly to block out Mingi’s voice, which only makes the other omega fall into a fit of laughter at San’s embarrassment. Now he’s thinking about him and Wooyoung doing more than just kissing, and it’s too much for his head and heart, so he quickly gets rid of the thoughts.

***

San doesn’t feel good, it feels like he has a fever with how hot he is one minute and cold the next. This usually happens a day before his heat, but he promised to let Wooyoung take him to see the city today, so he’s going to fight through it. His room door bursts open, and Hongjoong comes in. “San, I feel like I’m drowning in peach syrup. Are you sure riding in a car with Wooyoung, who’s an alpha, a day before your heat will be a good idea? I don’t want your scent making the man drive off the road from getting distracted.” He pouts at his hyung as they sit down on the bed, and Hongjoong's hand comes up to feel his head and burning cheeks.

“I’ll be fine, hyung. I have a temporary scent duller spray that I’ll put on before leaving. I don’t want to disappoint Wooyoung by canceling on him at the last minute, he will be here soon.” Hongjoong sighs but gets up to go take a travel bag out of San’s closet before going around his room and packing it with different things.

“Well, since you want to be stubborn, I’m going to make sure you have everything you need. There’s your wireless heating pad in case you get cramps, pain pills, pads for if you start leaking a lot, scent gland patches, a blanket, and a plushie for support. Your heat can unexpectedly come early, San, so you have to plan accordingly for these things, honey. I don’t want you far away from us and not prepared.”

San gets emotional at his hyung’s caring gestures but also feels bad for not being responsible for this and having Hongjoong prepare for him. “I’m sorry, hyung. I should have packed all that knowing the risk, but thank you for doing it for me.” Hongjoong zips up the bag and comes to him with one of his jackets.

“It's a little cold today, so wear this for now over your t-shirt. And don’t apologize, I only wanted to make sure you’re okay today. Also, I love taking care of you, my sweet angel.” There’s a kiss on his forehead as he leans into his hyung touches.

A snort comes from the door, and it’s Mingi leaning against it, eating a bag of chips. “Did your sweet angel tell you about the make-out session he had with Wooyoung last night at the beach? He’s a bad boy, hyung, and he’s influencing our Sannie.” Hongjoong movements stop, and he whines before frowning at Mingi, who only coos at him.

“Don’t tease him, Mingi. He’s sensitive right now. But Sannie, you had your first kiss? Did you enjoy it?” The headpets start again, and he hums in contentment. “Yeah, it was amazing. He’s such a gentleman, hyung. He made sure it was something I wanted and kept checking in with me.” San notices how Hongjoong scent calms a little at that.

“Good. Because I won’t hesitate to beat a terrible alpha’s ass. But, I’m happy for you, Sannie. Remember to take it slow, okay? You don’t want to rush into these things, it can be a lot, even scary. Though, not as much if you have the right support and you know we’re always going to be here for you.” Mingi moves over to them to sit and pulls him into a side hug.

“Hyung’s right. I tease you a lot, but it’s out of playfulness. We love you and only want what’s best for our Sannie. And if you think Wooyoung is the one, then explore the relationship, but also, always communicate how you feel about things with him.” He nods to them and moves to open back the travel bag to take out the plushie his hyung packed.

“I love you both, too, and thank you. Could you guys scent this so I can use it if I get overwhelmed?” They both take the plushie and rub it on their scent glands before handing it back to him, who happily cuddles into it. He loves his friends’ scent, it’s a mix of cherry and jasmine, two smells that have become his favorite, a new one now being bergamot.

A message from Wooyoung appears on his phone after a knock at the front door. Placing the plushie back in his bag, Hongjoong sprays some of the scent duller on him before they leave his room. Mingi opens the front door and greets Wooyoung. San is convinced the alpha can wear anything and will look like a model in it. He’s wearing a simple graphic shirt with sweatpants but makes it look like a runway outfit.

“Hey. Ready to go?” He says yes and hands Wooyoung his bag that the alpha offers to take so he can hug his friends. Hongjoong hugs him longer, looking like he’s going through emotions. “It feels like my baby is leaving the nest. Have fun and be safe.” Mingi chuckles at their friend’s dramatics, “You're not sending him off to his wedding, hyung. He’ll be back. But do take care of him for us, Wooyoung.”

San moves to stand beside Wooyoung, who gives his friends a bright smile. “I promise I will get him back to you safely.” Hongjoong’s mumbling a “You better.” Before they chuckle, the door closing. Wooyoung leads him to his car and opens the door for him, moving after to put his bag in the backseat. San is thankful his fever has gone down a little, he doesn’t want his preheat to ruin this experience.

The car leaves the driveway before speeding down the road, the wind from the window being down feels good as his body temperature runs hotter now. He takes off his jacket that Hongjoong forced on him. Wooyoung eyes leave the road, side-eyeing him, “Are you okay? Let me know if you feel bad, and I’ll bring you back.”

San can sense that the alpha’s worried, but he only sends a reassuring look. “I should be okay, but if I don’t, I promise to tell you. What are we doing when we get there?” He looks out the window and sees the sun is already going down. Anticipation rises in him at seeing the bright city lights at night.

“There’s a festival I think you will enjoy. The guys and I went before, and it’s fun, there’s food, music, and games. It’s also in the middle of the city so you can see everything.” San can tell they’re now out of his town as the buildings become more common than just occasional homes and small businesses.

“That’s sounds fun. How long have you been street racing? This car looks brand new still.” Wooyoung has a nostalgic look, “Right after I turned eighteen. Yunho was already doing it, and I attended the races but had to wait until I got my first car. Had my old one for a couple of years until I earned enough money to upgrade to this beauty. Bought it two years ago, but always make sure to keep it in good condition.”

Street racing at eighteen? San remembers staying in his room most days and having multiple breakdowns from presenting and having to get used to the changes in his body at eighteen. “How did your parents react to that? They must have been worried for you.” Wooyoung cringed as if he was remembering a not-so-good memory.

“Yeah, they were upset when they found out. A friend of my dad happened to start going to them and saw me. They made me stop it for a year until I graduated, then I moved out and started back going. I think they have finally accepted that it’s something I like doing.” He couldn’t imagine how scared his parents must have been for him. San's parents probably would have had a heart attack if he had done something like that.

“How about you? Any hobbies you like doing when you’re not working at the diner?” It feels nice being asked about what he likes. He’s never been asked by anyone besides his friends and parents. None of the past alphas seem to care enough to get to know him. “I like dancing, contemporary to be exact. Hope to make a career out of it one day, but I feel like it’s something that I should have started earlier.”

A hand moves to rest on his thigh. “It’s never too late to go for what you want. There are so many opportunities for dancing careers in the city, and I’m sure there’s a spot waiting for you.” His eyes focus on the hand resting on his leg, “Maybe you’re right. My friends and I were talking about moving to the city since we all have something that we want to pursue.”

He enjoys the diner and his hometown, but thinks he’s ready for more, even if it feels like a risk. “That’s understandable. I think it’s a great idea and maybe after spending time in the city, it’ll help you decide if it’s somewhere you want to live. We should be entering it soon.”

There are more cars on the road that have gotten bigger now, and the street lights that have multiplied are lighting them up since the sun has gone down and replaced with the night sky. Then he sees them enter the city. The tallest buildings he has ever seen are surrounding them, lights coming from everywhere. He didn’t even realize he was halfway out of his seat now, looking out the window and letting the wind go through his hair.

The car soon leaves the main road and turns into a large parking lot full of cars. Music is loud from the direction groups of people are walking in. He sits back in his seat and sees Wooyoung beaming at him, “Ready to go have fun?” A smile never leaves his face at the thrill of being in a new place. It’s colder now, so he puts his jacket back on before they leave the car and starts walking where everyone else is.

There are couples, families, and groups of friends with high energy as they walk past security guards before ending up in what he guess is the main part of the festival. Wooyoung takes his hand so they don’t lose each other. Delicious smells are in the air from the many food trucks, making his stomach growl. “You hungry? Let’s try out one of the food trucks.”

He’s blushing but says okay as Wooyoung pulls him closer, and they go up to one of the trucks. There are so many food items San has always seen on TV and social media but never got to try. “Is there anything specific you want to try? Don’t worry about the price, I’ll pay for whatever you want tonight.” He points at different foods, and Wooyoung orders them alongside other items he wants.

When they receive their food, they sit at one of the many tables that gives them a view of the large stage a band is playing music on with people around it. One of the things San got was a candy apple he started eating after trying the other foods. “I haven’t had one of these since childhood. The last time was when you and I stole one from the cart at that carnival while the seller was talking to our parents.”

Wooyoung starts laughing, the sound making him do the same. “Oh my god, I forgot about that. You were so worried about us getting caught for the rest of the day, even after we left.” San remembers how he thought the man was going to come to their house and confront them eventually. It was Wooyoung’s idea as with all the other things they did when they were little, like sneaking out to play in the river at night.

“You were always finding something new to get up to, we never got bored. And I can see you haven’t changed at all with that. Thank you for bringing me here.” Wooyoung feeds San mini churros. “That’s true. I still try to find new things to do. But no need to thank me. I like being able to spend time with you again. And to have been the one to bring you to experience this.”

They have a moment where their eyes meet, and it feels impossible to look away. San sees the boy he fell in love with all those years ago, only now he knows what he’s feeling and isn’t confused about it. Loud cheers of people playing games nearby ends the moment as they look over to see prizes on display at different booths.

“Shall we test our mini-game winning skills?” Wooyoung gets up to throw away their empty plates before coming and offering his hand to San, who takes it and stands with him. “We shall. But I hope I’m not completely terrible at it, that glowing lamp looks cool.” Wooyoung looks at the item he points to, and suddenly has a determined expression, “Don’t worry, we’re not leaving until it’s in your hands.”

They go up to one where the player has to shoot down the small targets. “I’ll win you that lamp.” He confidently says before paying to play a round while San stands beside him and watches. Wooyoung knocked the targets down easily, even impressing the man who was working the booth. He cheers for the alpha before getting a light headache, but brushes it off as being around so many lights and noises.

Wooyoung is handed a box that the lamp is secured in before he comes up to him and places it in his hands. “Thank you, you were good at that game. Are you an undercover agent or something?” The other laughs, making his nose scrunch up cutely, it’s a sight San always loved seeing. “Who knows, I have had my fair share of adventures. Want to play another game? You’ll never know how good you are unless you try it.”

When he shakes his head this time, a wave of dizziness comes over him, but he quickly hides it, not wanting to worry the alpha. “Sure, I want to play the ring toss, hopefully win you something in return.” Wooyoung takes his hand again and walks them to the other booth he stands in front of this time. The game starts, and he does end up winning, after the second round.

Wooyoung picks out a keychain that has multiple accessories on it. “Thanks, you did great. It takes most people more than five rounds to win.” He’s starting to feel tired, so he’s grateful when he leans onto Wooyoung, and the alpha wraps his arm around his waist while they walk. “It was so hard getting them all in a row, but I’m glad to have won you something.”

They start going to different areas and taking pictures of the decorations and mini-shows happening. But it’s when they decide to stop and watch the main music show that San finds himself getting hot again, and his headache worsens. Wooyoung is filming the show and doesn’t notice San closing his eyes to calm the ache in his head.

It’s when sharp pain goes through his stomach and he’s bending over with a groan that the alpha’s attention quickly goes to him. “San! Are you okay?” Wooyoung holding on to him is the only thing keeping him from falling to the ground. “I-I think- my heat started.” He smells the other’s citrus scent increase as he’s led out of the festival. “Okay, let’s get you to the car.”

The car is in sight just as he feels an uncomfortable amount of slick leave him fast. He should have listened to Hongjoong and stayed home, but he trusted that he would have stayed in preheat until tomorrow, it’s never came early, usually starting on the exact date. When they reach the car, Wooyoung opens the door for him, but he refuses to get in yet.

“Blanket. In b-bag, please.” The alpha makes sure he’s leaning against the car before going in the back to take out the blanket Hongjoong packed for him. He only gets in after wrapping it around his lower half because San refuses to get slick on the alpha’s seats, this is already embarrassing for him.

His body is burning up and he snatches off his jacket after he gets in. He can smell Wooyoung’s distressed scent when he gets in the car and turns to San. “It’s forty-five minutes to get you back home. Are you okay with that? Or would you like me to get you a hotel that will be safe for you?” A forty-five-minute ride back home while in heat sounds like hell.

The hotel could be okay, but he’s so sensitive right now that being in an unfamiliar room with no familiar scents will probably be just as bad. So he thinks of another option he hopes is available as his head turns to Wooyoung. “I know this is a lot to ask, and you can say no, and I’ll take the hotel. But can I stay at your place? If that makes you uncom-” A hand caresses his neck, and the cool rings that adorn it feel good against his warm skin.

“I’ll take you to my place so you can be comfortable. My apartment is close, only five minutes, we will get there soon.” San thinks he’s responding, but he’s not sure as the dizziness gets worse and the cramps makes him tightly grip the blanket around him. His pants are soaked now with how much slick has come out, and he knows the spray duller isn’t hiding anything anymore.

Wooyoung hands are tight on the wheel as the car speeds down the road. He feels bad, the alpha has to be getting affected by his peach scent that’s starting to consume the car. It is what makes him clumsily try to reach in the back seat for his bag to grab the scent gland patches, but twisting makes the pain in his stomach worse as he cries out.

One of the alpha’s hands leaves the wheel to guide him back in his seat. “Don’t worry about it, I’m okay. Try not to move, it will only make it worse, sweetie.” He’s masking his distress scent to release more of the citrus scent that calms San enough for him to lie back in the seat. The car pulls into an expensive-looking apartment building, and he worries that he will have to pass people to get to his place.

“It’s okay, all we have to take is the elevator, and my apartment is the first door.” Wooyoung gets out first to put San’s bag over his shoulder before coming to where he is and helping him out of the car. His jacket is put back over him since the night has gotten colder, and Wooyoung walks them into the building.

It’s empty as the elevator opens, and the alpha presses a button displaying the number twenty. All that’s heard is San’s deep breathing from trying to take his focus from the cramps. His hands are still holding the blanket tightly around himself as another wave of slick leaves his body, and he squeezes his eyes shut from the feeling.

Soon the elevator doors open, and Wooyoung leads him to an apartment door beside it. A code is put in before it opens, and San becomes surrounded by bergamot. It’s even stronger when he steps into what he guess is his bedroom. The alpha moves him to sit on the bed, putting his bag beside him. “I’m going to start a bath for you. I have some Epsom salt that will lessen the cramps a little. I’ll be back, you should inform your friends about what happened.”

Wooyoung leaves to walk through a door in the room. Grabbing his phone, he calls Mingi, who picks up after the first ring. “Mingi, my heat started.” Tears are starting to well up in his eyes at the situation, this wasn’t supposed to happen. There’s shuffling on the other end of the phone before his friend’s panicked voice comes through.

“Where are you?! Is Wooyoung bringing you back now? I can meet you two halfway and pick you up.” He hears water running and sees quick movement under the bathroom door. “Came back to his place, couldn’t make it there. It hurts so bad, Mingi, I don’t know what to do, I’m scared.” Tears are falling on his face now as he moves on the floor and hunch over to try to lessen the pain.

“Everything’s going to be alright. If you trust him, then trust he’s going to take care of you. I know it’s scary being like this away from home, but as soon as you’re able to take that ride, I’ll come pick you up. For now, I’m right here to answer your calls whenever you need me.” The bathroom door is opening, and Wooyoung hurries over, sitting on the floor beside him.

“Oh, sweetheart, you must be in so much pain.” His sweet voice only makes more tears fall from his eyes, his emotions quickly getting out of control. Mingi speaks again, telling him to hand the phone to Wooyoung, which he does with a shaky hand. He can’t hear what his friend is saying, but Wooyoung has a serious face as his unoccupied hand rubs San’s back.

He’s zones out of the conversation, the hand on his back distracting him from the cramps. When he does start listening again, Wooyoung is thanking Mingi and saying how he will take care of him and keep him comfortable. Knowing his friend, he probably gave the alpha tips on how to deal with his heat.

The call ends, and his phone is sat on the bed before hands come around him to help his weak body up. “Let’s get you in the bath, it should help.” The alpha carries most of his weight as they move to the large bathroom. He’s then leaned against the wall before his hands come up to wipe his tears. “Can you undress yourself, sweetie?” San tries by attempting to lift his shirt, but it feels like a ton of bricks are holding his body down.

Wooyoung ends up asking for his consent to undress him. And it takes him a few minutes to say yes, his mind fighting with the idea of showing himself bare and being vulnerable to the alpha. But he pushes it back, knowing Wooyoung isn’t like the alphas who would have tried to take advantage of him as soon as his heat started. “Yes. I’m too weak right now.”

The alpha looks understanding as he lifts and takes off San’s top. His hands then move down to his pants, but stops to check in with him. San nods and lifts his hips a little from the wall so the blanket wrapped around him falls and Wooyoung can help him out of the pants and underwear. He looks away in embarrassment, knowing the alpha can see the slick that has run down his legs.

Wooyoung only moves and piles his clothes together before standing up fully again. “Don’t be embarrassed, it’s normal. I'll be here the whole time for you if you want me to.” His hands go back around San's waist to take him to the large bathtub so he can get in and sit down. He instantly feels a little better once he’s settled in and surrounded by bubbles.

San has spent most of his heats alone. The only ones not spent by himself were the first one he had when he presented, and his mom stayed by his side. And the ones that were worse than usual, so his friends helped him through it. With an alpha? Never. But maybe he can allow it to be that way this time.

Wooyoung has done nothing to make him think the alpha has ill intentions, and Mingi seems to trust him as well. Turning his head, he sees him picking up his clothes and sending San a gentle smile. “I’ll be right out there if you need anything, don’t hesitate to call me.” The door closes after, and he’s left with his overwhelming thoughts.

The good thing is the salts Wooyoung put in the water have dulled the cramps. Day one is always like this for him, full of pain and sickness. It’s the second day that his body starts craving intimacy, needing an alpha’s touch and their knot. San may be a virgin, but he’s not naive. He knows all about what his body wants during his heat, it’s the worst part for him since he has to ignore it, and it feels like it punishes him by sending more pain.

And he has had his fantasies about letting an alpha have him. But in those fantasies was never a temporary narcissistic alpha, it was his mate. It was the one who he knew would treat him right and never overstep his boundaries. There was never a face, but now, as he lays his head back and sinks more into the water, he sees the alpha that’s right outside the door, he sees Wooyoung.

The handsome man lies him so gently on the bed before leaving slow kisses with those rose-colored lips. He kisses his neck, chest, and stomach before unhurriedly spreading his legs so he can slide right in between them. And now his lips are on San’s thighs, not breaking eye contact, wanting to see every reaction he pulls from him.

San's knees come up to bend in the tub as he lifts one of his hands to rub down his chest and stomach. Fantasy Wooyoung finally touches him where no alpha ever did. A finger lightly circles his entrance before entering, and a moan comes from his lips as he enters one of his fingers into himself. It’s easy with the constant developing slick and water, a second one added fast.

“Give me more, alpha,” he whispers it and Wooyoung adds two more, and he gets louder. Speeding up his fingers that are going in and out, the water around him splashing but staying in the tub. The fantasy Wooyoung is using his other hand to stroke his cock that’s leaking just as much. That makes him take his other hand to do the same. And he’s already close, which is expected during his heats, he usually can come many times from touching himself.

“I’m going to come, Wooyoung. Keep going, please.” The cramps in his stomach come back a little when his muscles start contracting from his upcoming orgasm. A flash of the alpha smirking up at him makes him come, his back arching away from the tub. Then it’s silent, only the sound of the TV playing from the bedroom, and he hopes Wooyoung didn’t hear him.

He ends up properly washing before getting out, his body moving slowly but can stand on its own, the pain being less now. The orgasm he had must have calmed down his heat symptoms because the slick wasn’t coming out fast anymore, and his dizziness was gone. He takes the towel that is near him and dries off before wrapping it around himself. Now that he thinks about it, he didn’t pack any extra clothes.

Walking towards the door and slowly opening it, Wooyoung is concentrating hard on his phone screen, looking up at San when he hears the bathroom door. “Are you feeling better after the bath? I have a shirt and shorts you can wear. Also, there are extra toiletries you can use in the small cabinet near the sink.” He gets up and grabs the folded clothes sitting by him, coming over to San and handing him them with his travel bag.

“It helped a lot, thank you.” That and his sexual fantasy of the alpha, but he would never tell him that part. Going back inside the bathroom and closing the door, he opens the cabinet Wooyoung mentioned and takes out the brand-new toothbrush and toothpaste. There’s also a body lotion that smells like the alpha, and he can’t help but want to use it. He goes on to do his night routine minus the skincare, he couldn’t care less about it during his heats.

Taking off the towel, he starts rubbing the lotion all over him, feeling content when he smells like citrus, it mixes well with his peach scent. San opens his travel bag that his hyung packed and takes out the scent gland patches and pads to prevent slick from going through his clothes. He places patches on his neck, wrists, and inner thighs, soon only able to smell the body lotion and no longer his scent.

Looking in the mirror to observe his body, he frowns when it is softer. It’s trying to preserve the energy he loses during his heat and prepare for a potential pup. Rubbing his smooth, but flat stomach, he mumbles, “Maybe one day.” The idea of having a baby doesn’t bother him as much as before, but it could just be his omega instincts being more present during this time.

He finishes by awkwardly putting on the pad and getting dressed. The clothes smell like clean linen and are comfortable. Packing all his things back up, he enters the bedroom again to find Wooyoung in his night clothes and holding a coffee cup. “I made you peppermint tea, google said it helps with cramps.” To know he spent time searching for things that will help San, makes him feel warmer than he already is inside.

“I appreciate it a lot.” San takes the cup out of his hands before he says he will be back and tells him to get comfortable. He would, but he’s not sure where he’s sleeping tonight, so he sits on the edge of the bed and waits for the alpha to come out of the bathroom. The tea is helping as he takes sips of it and watches a random Kdrama playing on the TV.

When Wooyoung comes back out, he looks concerned. “Is everything okay? Do you need more blankets to sleep with?” Oh, he must have thought San would have been under the covers by now. “I was waiting for you, didn’t want to assume where I was sleeping tonight.” Wooyoung takes his empty cup from him and guides him to the top of the bed so he can lie down.

“You’re sleeping in the bed, you need to be comfortable. Did you want your heating pad? Mingi told me that Hongjoong packed it.” As soon as he replies, Wooyoung opens his bag to take out the heating pad and turn it on, moving back to place it on his stomach before pulling the covers up on him. San feels so taken care of, and it’s nice, considering he always refused and was stubborn to having help during his heat.

Words that Wooyoung said earlier come back to him as the alpha turns off the room light. “I didn’t answer earlier, but I would like you to be here with me if that’s okay.” The alpha looks at him fondly, shutting the room door and coming to climb beside him in the bed, getting under the covers. He turns to lie on his side and faces San, “I know our time together took an unexpected turn, but I hope I gave you the experience you were hoping for when visiting the city for the first time.”

An unexpected turn is one way to put it. But overall, San had fun and enjoyed the visit. “You did, it was even better than my expectations. But I want to apologize for this disruption. My heat never came early, so I didn’t think anything of it. It’s usually worse during the first three days, but not the last two.”

He turns on his side to face Wooyoung more, legs coming up so he’s in a fetal position, which usually keeps the pain at bay. “Please don’t apologize, it wasn’t an inconvenience to me. You can stay here the full five days if you need to, I’ll take care of you.” His thumb caresses San’s cheeks, and he leans into the touch.

Then his eyes go to those lips that he wants to feel again. “May I have a kiss?” The words are said quietly, but Wooyoung hears and scoots closer so their lips come together. It feels just like his first kiss, only electrified with his hormones going crazy and his body wanting an alpha. One kiss turns into a few before they separate with smiles on their faces. Tiredness finally catches up to them as they fall asleep.

***

A loud sound of thunder causes him to jolt awake, the room lighting up brightly from the lighting before another rumble happened. He feels out of it, finding it hard to wake up, his hand pats beside him, and he sees Wooyoung isn’t there, confusion and sadness becoming his emotions.

The room has some natural but dark light, meaning, that it was the next morning, only dark from the thunderstorm. San stumbles out of the bed, feeling lightheaded from sitting up so fast. The door to the room is cracked open, so he figures Wooyoung must be somewhere else in the apartment. He needs to be close to the alpha, the feeling more present now.

Leaving the bedroom, he goes to where he remembers the living room being. It’s empty when San gets in there, but then he hears movement around a corner and walks to see Wooyoung putting up what looks like groceries in a kitchen. A whine comes out at seeing the alpha but not feeling him. It gets Wooyoung attention as he puts up the last bit of groceries.

“Morning. The storm must have woke you up. Sorry, I wasn’t there, had ordered some more groceries earlier, and they were delivered.” Arms pull him in a hug, and he snuggles into it, wanting to scent him and for the alpha to do the same. “We can go back to the room in a minute. But first, drink some of this and eat this. They have the energy you need since you can’t stomach much right now.” San pulls away slowly to take a now-open bottle from Wooyoung and drinks it, eating the energy bar he’s given next.

He could never eat heavily during these times, usually throwing it up. When he finished, Wooyoung took his hand and led him back inside the bedroom and into the bed. “What do you need right now?” San thinks how he wants many things now, most in the category of sexual, his body trying to get him to act on them. “Can I scent you, and you scent me? Usually keep my symptoms leveled.”

A nod from the alpha is all he needs before he peels off the patch on his neck, peach flooding into the room fast. Wooyoung sits back against the headboard and brings him in his lap, one of his arms coming up to start rubbing his wrist against San’s neck. He feels when the alpha’s scent starts feeling the closest he’s been to it yet, and makes small sounds of happiness from him, burying his face in the other’s neck.

“Did that make you feel better?” His reply is muffled as he refuses to move from the alpha’s neck. “What stage of your heat are you in?” Right now, he feels clingy and sensitive, the cramps having to become a dull sensation for now until his body starts begging for a knot. Finally sitting back up, he picks his phone off the table and sees it’s noon, usually, his other symptoms hit him in the evening of the second day.

“I’m in the stage where I like to cuddle and be close to the scents that make me feel safe. My uh, more intimate stage shouldn’t come until later.” There’s a hum from Wooyoung as his hand slides under the back of San’s shirt to rub in a circle like last night, and he feels like he could melt from the attention.

“I know this may be awkward to talk about, but I have to know what you’re going to need so I can prepare. I have helped an omega during that stage of his heat before, but know that everyone’s different and needs various things.” The feeling San gets when the alpha mentions being with another omega sucks. It makes him move away a little, so the alpha doesn’t smell how his scent rottens.

Did he bring that omega here? He probably was more experienced than San could ever be and got to see the side of Wooyoung when he didn’t hold back. When he talks again, it’s quiet, “I never experienced that part with anyone else, usually preferred being by myself. It’s the worst pain when I do, but I never had a choice.”

Wooyoung’s staring at him as if he’s trying to figure out what’s going on in his head. “You’re upset, what’s wrong, baby?” Well, so much for trying to hide it, he should have left and replaced his scent gland patch. “That omega you mentioned helping, was he a lover at the time? Did you help him…here?” Even if Wooyoung says yes, San isn’t allowed to get upset, this is the alpha’s home, and he can do whatever he wants in it.

It’s a question that Wooyoung should probably laugh at since it sounds jealous, but he must know how sensitive he is right now, only wanting to keep San’s emotions as stable as possible. “He was, but I had gone to his house, you know, with some omegas wanting to stay near their nest. That was three years ago, been single since. We decided that being friends worked better for us.”

Relief comes over him at that, his heat mindset already wanting to claim the alpha as his. “Oh, that’s good it didn’t end badly. I never had a boyfriend, hence why I always went through my heat alone. It sucked, but I had this fear of being taken advantage of, didn’t know any alphas I could trust enough.” He moves to lay back down, the rain sounds making him tired again. Wooyoung does the same, pulling him in.

“That must have been so stressful to deal with. I heard that not having someone with you, especially an alpha, can cause mental instability and physical distress, it’s dangerous. I understand your reasoning behind it, but I’m not going to let you go through that this time while you’re here with me. Whatever you need, I’ll give it to you, okay? You can trust me.”

San knows he can, and that’s what makes him anxious since he’s never been with an alpha before or had one to go through his heat with. “As you could probably tell, I- I have never been with anyone intimately. But I know that being given a um…alpha’s knot can lessen the symptoms.” His ears and cheeks must be dark red at this point, he feels so awkward.

But Wooyoung looks relaxed in the conversation. “That’s okay and is true, an alpha can lessen the omega’s symptoms and days of heat. But there are also heat toys that could replicate the feeling and help if the omega wants to stay solo or has no interest in actual alphas. Did you use any of those?”

San had heard of those toys, his friends had told him about them and even offered to get him some, but he declined, finding fear in even doing that to himself. “I have heard of them, my friends offered to get me one, but I declined. Was afraid of using it by myself and messing up. Usually, when it gets uncomfortable, and my body kind of forces me to do something, I touch myself, but that's all I ever did.”

He’s finding talking about this to the alpha becoming easier as Wooyoung never laughs or makes him feel ashamed. The other just encourages him to keep talking. “Well, I can tell you that being with an alpha can make the it smoother and better, but it has to be with the right one. Not some self-centered bastard who doesn’t care about what the omega is going through. I despise those kind of alphas.”

San does too, and getting that extra confirmation that Wooyoung is nothing like that makes him want to take that next step this time. “Will you give me that experience? When my heat reaches its peak, and my body begs to have you, can you be the one to take my virginity?” Wooyoung once at ease state leaves as he becomes tense and sits up to look at San. He starts to question if asking that of the alpha was the smartest idea, his scent starting to show his doubt.

Wooyoung only grabs his hand and kisses it. “I’m not rejecting you, baby, I just wanted to make sure that you really want that. Like you told me at the beach, I don’t want you to have any regrets. It’s something special that you have treasured for so long.” San knows that, but he’s willing to finally let it go so he can have that special moment with the alpha. So he can have the experience because he’s spent most of his life missing out on many things and doesn’t want to anymore.

“I want you to be the one to do this for me. I know I said at the beach that I was waiting for my person, well I think you’re the one, and always have been. Meeting you again so many years later and having those same feelings only stronger now, confirms it. I want you as my first, Wooyoung.” San knows that he could be putting too much on the alpha, but Wooyoung is also not showing any signs of being uncomfortable.

If anything, his scent turns into one that makes him feel like he’s being wrapped in his arms. “Then it will be an honor to give you that experience. Because I feel just as strongly for you, and can’t wait to see how our relationship develops and grows into more. Tonight, alright? That’s when your heat may fully hit.” He leans in to peck Wooyoung’s lips before he remembers a request he has for the alpha.

“If it’s not too much, could you keep me grounded during it? Keep me alert if I start seeming out of it. I want to remember everything, want my head to be clear.” Wooyoung replied with, “I will,” before pulling him back into a cuddle. The sound of the rain hitting the window, his body, which seems to have no energy, takes him to sleep again, the alpha’s adoring eyes being the last thing he sees.

***

When San wakes up again, it’s not from thunder, but instead from the sweat that’s covering his body and how suffocating he feels under the large blanket. He’s so hot, it’s like he’s standing directly under the sun. Whimpers are coming from him as he gets out of bed, a cold shower has never sounded better than it does now.

As soon as he gets in the bathroom, he undresses, the clothes uncomfortably sticking to his body. It’s when he gets in and turns on the cold water that San realizes he didn’t even check if Wooyoung was in the bed with him or not. The thought of the alpha makes him hurry his washing so he can get back to him. Cool water runs down his body, and it feels good, his temperature coming down.

But now the pain in his body is back, and it’s worse than he expected it to be, slick also starting to run down his legs even after he tries to wipe it away. Making angry tears start producing in his eyes at how he is not in control of his body, and it’s forcing him to go through this. Arousal appears in him as he’s trying to dry off, it’s a familiar longing and ache for an alpha.

It’s when San hears movement in the room that he quickly brushes his teeth, puts on lotion, and opens the door. Wooyoung is in there but doesn’t notice him as he places large and small towels on the bed. San becomes flushed at the indication of what’s going to happen soon. “Wooyoung,” the alpha finally turns around.

“Good morning. You ended up sleeping the whole night. Your friends called to check on you but said they would call later since you were asleep. They didn’t want to disturb you. Feel better after the shower?” He walks over to him, a hand coming to feel his forehead that’s not as hot as when he first woke up.

“Mhm, but I didn’t mean to sleep the whole night. What time is it?” He can’t help but lean into the alpha arms coming up to bring him closer. “It’s around 11 am. You smell sweeter now. Have you reached that stage in your heat?” San can smell how Wooyoung is affected by his peach scent, but he’s keeping it together. “I think so. Can I have you now?” Wooyoung kisses his cheek before saying, “Yes.”

He’s led to the bed before climbing on and lying on the spread-out towels. Wooyoung leaves the room but comes back fast with another one of those fruit juice bottles. “Can you drink some of this for me? You have to stay hydrated. And we will see if you can eat a small meal later.” He takes sips of the drink, seeing no reason to be stubborn with the alpha since he’s only trying to take care of him.

Once Wooyoung looks satisfied with how much he drank. He moves the bottle to sit on the side table before finally getting on the bed with San. “I want you to be verbal with me, okay? I need to know how you’re doing and if we should stop or not. And if you don’t like something, tell me, and I’ll change it.” He’s saying okay before the lips he’s become obsessed with are back on him. But this time, hands start exploring his body, making him twitch at the unfamiliar sensation of someone touching him like this.

The lips soon leave his and go to his jaw and eventually down to his neck. It feels even better than his fantasy that his hands come up on Wooyoung’s back to keep him close. And when the other starts sucking and nibbling in his scent gland, he gasps and grabs onto him tighter. For a moment, he pictures Wooyoung putting a biting claim, and him doing the same, making them official mates. “One day,” he thinks as the alpha moves from his neck, and to his chest, which are always tender during heats, his body wanting to produce milk for a possible pup.

Hands caress them before a mouth is on one of his nipples, making him let out a surprise moan. One of his hands goes into the other’s long hair as he gives attention to San’s other nipple, which is also swollen. “Feels good, alpha. Never been touched like this.” When Wooyoung pulls away from his chest and looks up at him, there’s a possessive gaze in his eyes, bergamot starting to become as prominent as the peach in the room.

“Good. No unworthy alpha deserved you, deserved to have access to you like this. You’re too precious.” He’s leaving a trail of sweet kisses down San’s stomach, stopping after he gets to where the towel is still on him. “May I?” He’s never nodded his head faster. Those hands unhurriedly take the towel off and open his legs to get between them.

Now he’s bare in front of the alpha, and what’s going to happen dawns on him more when Wooyoung reaches inside his side table and takes out a condom. San's body stiffens at the reality of it, and Wooyoung looks at him in concern. “Are you sure still? Don’t force yourself to do this, it’s okay.” He never wanted this as badly as he does now.

And the sudden wave of arousal that washes over him reminds him of how much he needs it. Slick is starting to produce again as his stomach tightens at the pain that rises from not having the alpha in him yet. “I’m sure, want to do this with you. I’m just scared that it will hurt.” Kisses are left on his knees and thighs until Wooyoung comes back up to him.

“That’s okay, first times are always scary. But it shouldn’t hurt much since your body wants to receive more during your heat. There may be uncomfortableness, though, but it shouldn’t feel that way for long. I’ll guide you through everything and make sure you mostly receive pleasure.” One of the alpha’s hands is rubbing the crease of his thigh, so close to where he wants him.

“I trust you, and I’m ready. Could you take some of your clothes off first? Want to touch you.” Wooyoung sits up, and pulls off his shirt, doing the same for his shorts but leaving on his boxer briefs. More slick comes out at admiring the alpha’s body, he’s thankful for the towels that are under him.

Wooyoung comes back down, and he sighs when he can touch his smooth tan skin. A hand goes between his legs, and a finger circles his rim before entering him. “I can take another one.” Wooyoung listens and slides a second in beside the first, pushing into him a few times before adding a third. San starts to feel the stretch when a fourth one is added, a whine come from him.

“How does it feel? I’m almost done.” It’s better than when he would touch himself. Wooyoung’s fingers are so much longer and reach where he couldn’t, directly against that spot deep in him. “Good, they’re deep. Might come from them.” The fingers speed up, and he already feels that hazy feeling trying to consume him.

“Let go. Don’t hold any of them back, not with me.” He leans down and kisses him, his moans quieting when their tongues meet. Then Wooyoung has his other hand on his cock that’s leaking nonstop, and he comes. The cramps started to decrease a little, but his body is beginning to get hot again, slick now coming out at a fast rate.

It’s so much now that when he makes himself look while Wooyoung sits back up and pulls out his fingers, slick is now covering his whole hand and even sliding down his wrist. San hides his face with his hands, it’s embarrassing and kind of gross. There’s a chuckle from above him that makes him separate his fingers to peek through them.

“It’s only your body running its natural course. Going through this isn’t a bad thing, it just means that you’re regulating correctly.” He wipes his hands and arm on a towel with an unbothered smile, wiping the cum off of San's stomach next. “Are you going to like…put it in now?” San cringes at how unsexy and awkward that sounded.

But he’s glad they’re talking during all this since it’s keeping him present and not letting that floaty headspace get to him. Wooyoung has an amused expression before his eyes travel down San’s body and back between his opened legs. It makes him want to hide from the gaze. “I could eat you out first if you would like?” Eat him out? San quickly becomes flustered. Making a memory of his friends’ conversation one day at the diner while sitting at the front counter and waiting for customers to arrive, appears in his head. He doesn’t know how it came up, but it turned into a long sex talk.

“The smell of our slick can have some alphas practically drooling, and when you give them access? They’ll be begging for more if you take it away from them too soon. It’s a hot sight, honestly, ten out of ten, would recommend.” San felt bad for Seonghwa, who was trying his hardest to pretend he wasn’t right there hearing Hongjoong talk about his possible obsession with the omega’s slick.

He also felt bad for himself, who was becoming appalled at the vulgar conversation, while Mingi was very interested and encouraged the oldest omega to continue. It brings him back to now as Wooyoung looks down at him, patiently waiting and rubbing his knee, but San sees the eagerness in his eyes. It turns him on more, makes more slick produce, and the alpha knows when as his eyes shoot back down.

“Um, yes, please.” Wooyoung wastes no time after San’s reply. Moving back to close and push his legs up so they’re to his stomach before turning him to the side, getting behind him after. One of his arms rests over San’s lower hips, keeping his legs from unbending while he lays away from him so he’s close to where his peach scent is the strongest. Cold air blows over his twitching entrance before the warm and soft sensation of a tongue is on him, and his body jerks.

But half of Wooyoung’s body holding down his lower half keeps him from moving much. He can’t see the alpha, but he twists enough to be able to run his hand over his back and through his hair, which falls into his face. San panics at the mortifying thought of his slick getting into the alpha’s hair and reaches over to the side table to grab a hair tie that was sitting on it.

“Woo, y-your hair.” Wooyoung comes back in his sight but looks confused until he sees what San’s holding and grins. “Thanks, baby.” He takes it from him and pulls his hair back to put in the tie. San could have moaned at the action alone. Wooyoung lips are shiny, and he gets curious, “Do- do you like it?”

A smirk appears on the other’s face, “Mhm. Love it.” He starts hovering back over him, “Wanna taste?” He nods before lips are back on his, and Wooyoung’s tongue enters his mouth. San tastes himself on his tongue, which is weird but also hot. “Never tasted myself before.” Wooyoung looks surprised, “Really? I guess there’s a first time for everything. I’ll get back to it. Stop me anytime.”

He says it so casually like he’s not moving back down to continue eating him out. He’s starting to think maybe he is a prude since everyone around him seems to be very open to sexual activities and conversations but him. San also begins to understand why the alpha put him in this position when the cramps dull from it, giving him only pleasure.

A tongue is prodding at his entrance before he easily opens up for it, and Wooyoung starts rolling and using it to try to lap up all the slick. But it’s a fail since the ministrations only caused more to produce. San's hand slides down to hold onto the arm that gripping his hips and the back of his thighs.

His head lays on the pillow while he softly moans. Wooyoung continues, and he wonders if the alpha is even stopping to breathe because San feels like he’s losing his breath just from the pleasure. And he’s already close again but doesn’t want to come until the alpha is in him.

So he calls Wooyoung’s name, and he doesn’t know if he said it too low or if Wooyoung isn’t listening because he has to call him again for the movements to stop and the alpha to come back up. This time, slick isn’t just on his lips but covering his chin, and he looks in a daze. San looks away bashfully to grab a mini towel that was by him and use it to wipe the other’s face.

“I’m going to come again, but want you in me when I do.” Wooyoung only places a kiss on his neck before positioning San’s body back to before. Taking off the last item of clothing he was wearing and picked up the condom he placed by them earlier. “Won’t using that be uncomfortable for you after your knot grows?”

He sends him a reassuring look, “It’s a special one for alphas. So if the omega isn’t on suppressants or birth control but not trying to get pregnant, this can be used to prevent it.” San thinks about him ending up pregnant from having sex for the first time- yeah no, that’s terrifying. He looks down and watches Wooyoung put on the condom and scoops up some of his slick to lubricate it.

The alpha is well endowed, and he wonders if he will fit in him. The cock rubs against his rim a few times before slowly entering him, and he tenses, making Wooyoung hips pause. “I need you to relax for me, sweetie. Don’t want to cause you any pain, it’ll feel better soon, I promise.” A fresh scent soothes him enough to loosen his tight muscles again.

Wooyoung hips move again, and he sits up to see the alpha is almost in him. It’s like his body is naturally opening up, putting out more slick to make it easier. His hand moves down to start touching himself, helping to distract him from the discomfort. When Wooyoung hips finally stop, he sees and feels how his cock is in him. A weird fascination strikes him at how his body completely opened up for it.

He lays back against the pillow and shifts a little to get more comfortable, accidentally clenching and causing a groan from the one above him. “Sorry, didn’t mean to.” Wooyoung tried to give a smile to express it was okay, but it looked more like a grimace when he started moving his hips at the slowest pace. San wonders if he’s hurting the alpha, and tries hard to not clench.

“Does it hurt? I’ll try not to do it again.” Wooyoung comes down and pecks his lips, “It doesn’t hurt, sweetheart. You feel good and tight. It’s not a bad thing. Let me know when you’re ready for me to move faster.” Some of his hair has fallen from the hair tie, and the view makes San clench again from the arousal that’s building in him. “I want more, now.” Wooyoung adjusts his position while he wraps his legs around him.

He pulls away from him before pushing back at a steady pace. It’s like he has a fever with how hot and cold his body is running, and becoming overwhelmed. The alpha has only done a few thrusts when he comes, but begs Wooyoung to keep going, knowing it won’t feel satisfied until he’s knotted.

He tightly holds onto the arms by his head, needing something to keep him grounded because he’s slipping fast. His eyes start closing, blissed out at how good everything is now. Wooyoung’s hand comes down and cups his face to turn it back towards him. And San's heavy eyes are opening again.

“I know you’re feeling good, but I need you to keep looking at me. Don’t you want to remember this? Remember all the pleasure your alpha is giving to you? You have to stay with me to do that, sweetie.” His mind focuses on the two words Wooyoung said. “My alpha.” It falls from his mouth three more times, his brain liking how it sounds.

“And my omega, right? My sweet peach, so pretty and delicate. Come here, baby, want you closer.” Wooyoung is wrapping his arm around his waist and flipping them until they’re on their sides, and he’s close, in the alpha’s arms. His legs bend and come to the other’s hips, Wooyoung lifting him a little so he can line himself to San’s entrance and slide back in.

It doesn’t hurt or feel uncomfortable anymore, his body quickly gotten used to it. Hands on his waist hold him tighter while Wooyoung’s pace increases. San brings his hand up to pull the other’s hair tie out so he can run his fingers through it, loving how silky it is. It’s when Wooyoung does short thrusts and stays up against his sweet spot that his hips start trying to roll down to meet each one. The alpha helps him by moving his hand to his lower back and guiding him down.

Breathless moans begin to get loud as his stomach starts tightening again, signaling another orgasm. Their faces are close, and Wooyoung's eyes never leave his. “Is it g-good for you too?” San needs to know, needs to hear how much he’s pleasing him. “It is. You’re getting me close. I’m proud of how well you’re taking me, knew you could do it. Are you about to come again?”

A whimper blocks his response as another orgasm ripples through him. When he looks down between them, he comes a lot like the last ones. It always seems never-ending during his heats. San’s getting tired, but his body is still anticipating a knot, not going to let his heat break until it gets it.

Wooyoung is mostly holding him up now in the position, his mind becoming too foggy to even think about staying in control. “Alpha, I need your knot, please.” San wants his alpha to breed him? Yes, he wants to be bred and claimed, wants a mating bite on him. He subconsciously bares his neck and whines, wanting everything his alpha gives him.

A few kisses are left on his exposed neck before his name is called, and his closing eyes meet Wooyoung’s. “You’re slipping, peach. Focus on me, and let me look into those lovely eyes. Going to knot you, but it may hurt a little at first.” He forced his eyes back open, wanting to do what Wooyoung said. The alpha has been nothing but caring to him, so he refuses to disappoint him.

And the moment the thrusts slow down, and he feels Wooyoung cock throb, his head goes into the other’s neck to inhale the scent that will keep him relaxed. The knot starts expanding in him when Wooyoung sits inside, no longer pulling out. There’s a low moan from him before he comes, San’s cock squirting out more at the feeling.

But a few tears escape his eyes at the dull ache from the knot that locks them together, and Wooyoung's thumbs come up to wipe them away. “I’m going to reposition us. Try to be still, sweetie.” He nods and then is moved until his body is now on top of Wooyoung, head coming down to rest on the alpha’s shoulder.

“How are you feeling? Are you comfortable? My knot may take a while to go down.” San shifts around a bit to not tug on where they’re connected but to get comfortable. His head starts clearing up, glad that Wooyoung kept him from slipping completely in his heat state. He can tell many of his heat symptoms have lessened, but now he’s freezing as his body temperature goes back down.

“I’m okay, tired but sated. I’m also cold now. It broke a lot of my heat symptoms.” Wooyoung reached over where the blanket was and covered their bodies with it, San snuggling into the warmth of the alpha under him and the blanket. “I will be sure to change the room temperature when I can. Had turned it down so you wouldn’t overheat earlier.”

There’s small shifting from the one under him after a while, making San let out a surprise gasp as he remembers they’re very much connected right now, and he’s not just lying on top of the other. “Has it gone down? Can we move now?” Wooyoung hand comes to rub the top of his back, “Why? You trying to get away from me already?” He pouts, hating that the alpha thinks he doesn’t want to be here with him.

But there’s a giggle from Wooyoung, “I’m only teasing. But yes, we can move now. When will your heat symptoms come back?” Relieved that he’s not upset, San relaxes again on him. Usually, with his heat, it would get easy the last two days, and he feels almost better, so it’ll probably be a while before it comes back. “Either late tonight or sometime tomorrow. I feel good right now, only sore and want a bath.”

His body is lifted a little so Wooyoung can pull out, and he doesn’t like the empty feeling. “I’ll get one ready for you and then go prepare a small meal for us. Stay here and rest, I’ll be back in a few.” He’s laid down on the bed with the blankets since it’s freezing in the room. The slow movements and sounds of water after the bathroom door shuts, lull him to sleep.

But, soon, he’s awakened by a freshly washed Wooyoung who’s pulling him up from the bed to take him to the bathroom. “I placed everything you need on the counter. Call me if you need anything, I’ll be in the kitchen.” He thanks the alpha, who smiles before leaving out of the room. Getting in the bathtub, it’s just as perfect as the first one, but soon his stomach growls at the smell of whatever Wooyoung is cooking, and he wants to try it.

***

San gets out after almost an hour, enjoying soaking in the warm water. The clothes folded on the counter are a hoodie and shorts that he brings to his nose as soon as he puts the hoodie on. This clothing item smells like the alpha. Walking out of the bathroom and bedroom, he goes to where he remembers the kitchen is and sees steamy food covered on the stove but no Wooyoung.

So he moves to the living room, where there is a bouquet of roses in a vase with his name on the tag attached to it. He picks them up and smells them, smiling at the settled fragrance. Sitting the vase back down to continue his search, a curtain swaying shows a glass door leading to a balcony and a figure leaning against a railing. San quickly moves to it, pulling the curtain aside and sliding open the door to step out.

It’s still gloomy from the previous storm, the streets looking empty, and only sounds of nature heard. His quiet footsteps don’t get Wooyoung’s attention, making him not notice San until he’s standing beside him. “Hey, how was your bath?” San notices he’s holding a cigarette, and something is off. His mind seems distracted.

“It was nice. I didn’t know you smoked. Are you okay? You look anxious.” San can be the exact definition of anxious a lot of time, so he knows when to see it in someone else expression. Wooyoung takes his hand that’s empty and runs his fingers through his hair. “I don’t usually. Only when I’m stressed or nervous. I got a call from my mom, and she wants to visit tomorrow.”

Now San isn’t so relaxed anymore. He has not seen Wooyoung’s mom in years. And their first meeting again is him in heat at her son’s apartment. “Should I call Mingi and ask him to pick me up today before my heat comes back? I don’t want you stressed because I’m here while she’s visiting.”

Wooyoung takes another drag of the cigarette, turning away to not blow the smoke near his face. “I’m not worried about her meeting you again, she will be over the roof. I was worried about how you would feel about it. Plus, I don’t want you to leave yet. Unless you want to, of course, then I can send Mingi my address.” It’s not like he’s ready to leave to lock himself in his lonely room. And if his mom will be happy to see him, then he wants to see her again as well.

“I want to see her again. But what if it’s during when my heat comes back?” Wooyoung takes his hand to rub his thumb over it. “I’ll make up something quick. But it has been a while since I have seen her, she was on a far away business trip with my dad. Came back early because it was boring.” He chuckles, and San stares at his pretty side profile. Watching as the cigarette is back to his lips, curiosity creeping up.

“Can I try it?” Wooyoung looks surprised, turning to him more, “Are you sure?” He nods and leans in, waiting to be told what to do. The cigarette is put to his lips as a hand comes up and holds his jaw. “Inhale, but not too fast.” San tries to do as he says but thinks he does something wrong anyway because he’s soon pushing it away and coughing. His back being pat quickly before he feels like he can breathe again, glaring at the cigarette that’s being held in the other’s hand still.

“That was horrible. You and the movies make it look so cool.” There’s a small laugh from the alpha as he puts out the cigarette and sits it on an ashtray. “It’s very bad for your health, actually. Shouldn’t be as romanticized as it is in the media.” He hums and looks out into the dull sky, glad his lungs aren’t burning anymore. “If that’s the case, then you should stop.”

When he turns to look at Wooyoung again, he can’t decipher the expression on his face. “Do you want me to stop?” San looks confused. Because that’s not up to him to decide, but he answers anyway. “What if I said yes? That I want you to throw the whole pack away and never touch another one?” His eyes widen when Wooyoung takes the ashtray with the previous cigarette, also pulling a pack of them out of his pocket before walking to the trash can that sits on the balcony and throws it all away.

He comes back, now closer to San than before. “Then I would throw it away and never touch another one.” Hands grab his waist and back him up to the balcony door. “I didn’t think you’d do it…” Lips make their way to his neck, kissing over where a mark was previously placed by the alpha. Then they move beside his ear, “I’ll do anything for you. I mean it.” His knees buckled at the sheer volume of the voice, loving the warm puffs of air by his ear.

A loud horn from a car in the distance stops the moment, startling them both before they pull apart. “Let’s go inside and eat. Did you see the roses I got you?” His hand is taken as Wooyoung opens the sliding door, and they walk back inside. The mention of eating reminds San of how hungry he is when they move past the living room and into the kitchen.

“Yes, they’re beautiful. Are they a thank-you gift for letting you deflower me?” He’s looking teasingly at Wooyoung, who becomes flustered. “Maybe…but mostly because I wanted to do something for you. Going through a heat seems like a vulnerable and stressful situation. You deserve to have nice things done for you now and always. To be reminded that you have that support.”

San brings the alpha close to hug him for a few minutes, which Wooyoung doesn’t seem to mind. “You’re such a gentleman. I am thankful for everything you did for me.” As they’re hugging, his stomach growls again, and Wooyoung pulls back and smiles, “Go ahead and sit, sweetie. I’ll bring you food.” He doesn’t have to be told twice as he goes to sit down at the table.

His eyes watch Wooyoung prepare their meals, and he can tell the alpha put a lot into it. “You cook professionally?” San’s voice gets his attention as he finishes making their food and brings it to the table. It’s a steaming bowl of delicious-smelling soup with small side dishes. “Not professionally, but I find joy in doing it. I hope you like it. Try to eat a little if you can. You barely ate anything these last days, so you need it.”

San thanks him shyly. To have an alpha cook for him is nice since it’s unheard of where he’s from. He does eat as much as he can before stopping so he doesn’t make himself sick. “You know, back at home, it’s uncommon for alphas to have a role of cooking. Usually, omegas are expected to do that.” Wooyoung scoffs, looking in disbelief, “What a backwards place. There shouldn’t be any set dynamics like that. Those things can become toxic.”

He nods in agreement. San has seen a fair share of omegas come into the diner and complain about their alphas and their expectations. “I agree. I wish the dynamics there were more like how they are here, everyone seems much more free and happy.” Wooyoung eyes light up, “It’s because they are, having those old mindsets must get so exhausting sometimes, especially for the ones it affects badly. I do hope you consider moving here with your friends. I think you guys will like it.”

Him mentioning the old ways affecting omegas the worse, takes him back to the day at the diner when that man had harassed him. There were always advances close to that made towards him throughout his years of being an omega, but never anything like that. In a way, it pushed him to want to get away from it all and start over. “We may just do it, not now, but soon. We will have to make sure we have the funds and stuff.”

When they finish eating, Wooyoung insists he goes to rest and get ready for when his symptoms come back, but he refuses, itching to want to clean. That’s how they end up cleaning the kitchen. San feeling satisfied when they finish, and it’s spotless. “I’m not sure if I told you, but I get this weird obsession with cleaning during the end of my heat. I like being around organized things, and if it's not, I would have to fix it.” He giggled, thinking of all the times he would threaten Mingi with a cleaning spray bottle when his friend tried to stop him from cleaning already clean spaces.

Wooyoung chuckles as they leave the kitchen to go back into the bedroom, San not forgetting to pick up the rose vase and carry it with him. “You know, my mom is like that. She and you are the only omegas I have heard that do that, it’s quite fascinating and not a bad thing. Until you start trying to overwork yourselves, of course.” He catches San looking at the items on a shelf in the living room that could use organizing and puts his hand on the small of his back to guide him away from it and into the bedroom.

The mention of his mom makes him curious about when she’s coming over. “When is your mom visiting tomorrow?” He had asked and started walking around the alpha’s room, having to not gotten the chance to look around the decorated space with him being deep in heat. “Probably in the morning since she’s going out with her friends tomorrow night. When do you think your heat will start again?”

San stops looking through the many books on a tall bookshelf in the room and turns back to Wooyoung, who seems to always be looking at him, but it doesn’t bother him. He likes having his attention without even looking or asking for it. “It may start again at night, so I should be okay when she comes.” Deciding to end his exploration and missing being close to the alpha already, he moves back to the bed and lies beside Wooyoung. “Want to watch a movie?” San mutters, “Sure,” lying close to him as the TV switches screens before a movie starts playing.

***

“Wooyoung, my handsome son. How have you been? Have you been eating well? And don’t you lie to me.” San leaves the bedroom and hears the familiar voice that makes a smile come to his lips as he turns the corner into the living room and sees Wooyoung hugging his mom. She doesn’t notice him yet, starting to whisper to Wooyoung. “Do you have someone here? Who’s scent is that on you? It’s an omega, isn’t it?” San's cheeks get red at his scent being all over the alpha, and his mom quickly smelling it.

Wooyoung replies to her first questions and turns around with his mom, to walk to the kitchen. Both soon stopping, when they see San standing there. He shuffles back and forth on his feet, not knowing how the alpha’s mom will react to seeing him again. But her attention leaves her son’s as she slowly walks up to him.

“San? Is that you, darling?” It’s like she knows but wants to make sure, so he nods and smiles, “Yes, it’s me. Hi, Mrs. Jung, it’s nice seeing you again.” His words barely leave his mouth before he’s pulled in a hug by the older woman, she’s strong to be so small. “Oh, San, it’s so great to see you again! It’s been so long. I was just showing Wooyoung pictures of you two when you were little.”

The older omega scent is coconut, but he smells the hint of citrus he has come to love. She’s finally breaking the hug and looking at Wooyoung, “Why didn’t you tell me that you met San again? I would have come back home earlier to see him!” Wooyoung looks sheepish at his mom scolding him, “I did Mom, weeks ago, but you were rushing to a meeting with Dad, so you probably didn’t hear me.”

They move to the kitchen, where Wooyoung sits down what looks like food that’s been packaged. “Son, you know your mother’s memory is getting bad. I have to keep notes of everything now, can you believe it?” She’s looking at San in playful despair, and he giggles, her looking satisfied with making him laugh. Wooyoung only shakes his head and helps his mom unpack the food, “Mom, you always bring so much, which I appreciate, but can never eat all of this.”

It is a lot of food as San sees the woman continue taking out things. She pats her son on the cheek, “Well, this time you won’t have to worry about it since you have San here. Now remember to warm this up at the temperatures I wrote down on the sticky notes that are on each dish.” They’re both nodding and moving to place the dishes in the fridge as his mom sits at the table, wanting them to join her.

She stares at San for a long time, and he wonders if that’s where Wooyoung gets it from. “You have grown so much, you’re so handsome! And you’re an omega, I’m assuming by your scent?” He feels shy but nods, her smile soon getting big after. “That’s lovely. You know, I always knew you were going to present as one, you had a natural talent for keeping things calm and orderly. While this one over here was always getting into things.”

Wooyoung pouts and his mom sends him a “You know I’m right” look. “How’s your parents? Are you all still living in the town?” San feels very comfortable talking and catching her up on his life, he’s enjoying this time with her and her son. “Yes, we’re still there. I told my parents about meeting Wooyoung again, and they were ecstatic. My mom said she can’t wait to see you again.”

He and Wooyoung’s moms were very close. They would talk for hours and watch their two sons play out in the fields everyday. “I would love to see her again as well. Maybe we can all make time to meet up together, perhaps at you two’s wedding.” Wooyoung, and his eyes go big at that. San has to admit, his mom threw that in so smoothly that he sees how much of her personality her son has.

But the older omega isn’t done yet as she looks between them. “What? You think I’m too old to know what has happened between you two? Also, I can see there’s feelings, which I am overjoyed about. My two babies are back together again.” This time, he and the alpha get shy at her words, “We are getting closer but taking it slow.” His mom looks excited, “That’s wonderful!” She takes both of their hands before starting to talk again, the topics changing until they have talked for hours, and it’s getting dark outside.

Mrs. Jung finally stands up as they walk her to the door, her having to leave soon to meet friends. She hugs them, patting both of their cheeks. “It was so nice spending time with you two and seeing you again, San. Take care of each other, alright?” They’re both promising her before Wooyoung tells him he will be back and leaves the apartment to walk her to the car.

San sighs contently, his heart feeling full and happy. He can feel his heat symptoms coming back but not as intense this time, just a needy feeling of wanting the alpha, who soon walks in the bedroom and closes the door. Wooyoung sits on the bed, his lap looking like a great place to be, making San move to do just that.

“Have you talked to your friends? I feel bad for keeping you away from them. Also, the street racing events you could be missing.” His arms go around the other’s neck to play with his hair. He would hate if Wooyoung stopped his life to help San with this. “I did earlier, they were checking up on us, and said they had just left the diner. As for the street racing, I don’t mind taking a break for you, want to make sure you’re okay. I did bring you here after all.”

Wooyoung reason for deciding to be here with him rather than to go street racing doesn’t make his heartbeat slow down as he thinks about something. “You should take me on one of those street race rides. I did say I wanted to experience the thrill of it.”

Wooyoung eyebrow raise before his signature smirk appears on his face as he’s flipped out of the alpha's lap and onto the bed with Wooyoung now on top of him. It’s fast and takes his breath away, not expecting it as he looks up in surprise. “If you liked that, you’ll love being my passenger princess during the race.”

Lips brush against his jaw, making him lean into the touch as fingers trail under the hoodie he’s wearing, teasing him. “It’s the rush that gives you a different type of high, and when you come down, it makes you want to do it again, and again.” His head falls back, Wooyoung intoxicating scent and voice making him dizzy. He affects San so much with just the smallest things.

“Well, in that case, I really want to join you, want to experience that feeling. You’ll give it to me, right? Even when I want more after?” He knows the tension is building, and their words are straying away from racing. His eyes stare into Wooyoung’s dark ones that he never wants to look away from. Then the alpha is coming close, arms caging him in, “All you have to do is ask, and I’ll give it to you, San.”

His name rolls off his tongue, and it makes him want to hear it again as he brings his hands up Wooyoung’s back and under his shirt, wanting to feel his body. Desire rises in their eyes that doesn’t look away. And then San is the one leaning up to Wooyoung’s ear, lightly kissing one that has many piercings on it. “I want it, alpha.” Those words soon have him drooling on a pillow while his body is put in a deep arch as the bed repeatedly hits the wall.

***

His heat ends one day early for the first time. It’s a bittersweet feeling, which is funny since he used to beg whatever higher source there is to make it end fast. Now, San didn’t want it to end if it meant he had to leave the apartment and bed he felt so good being in. But he does, and now he watches Wooyoung pack up his things for him as he holds the plushie his friends scented for him in his arms.

“Okay, I think I made sure to pack everything again. Have you told your friends you’re coming back today?” He nods, remembering how he texted them this morning once they confirmed his heat ended. “Yeah, they’re happy that I’m coming back, said they missed me.” Wooyoung is moving to grab his keys and put on a jacket. “I’m sure they do. I took you away from them for four days.”

They laugh as he gets up from the bed since Wooyoung looks like he’s ready now. San has on another one of his hoodies, liking how he’s drowning in the citrus that’s on it after asking the alpha to scent it and him gladly doing it. The apartment lights are turned off before they leave, and San makes sure to grab the vase of flowers before looking at the now-dark apartment, sad to have to leave it. Wooyoung notices and puts his arm around him as they enter the elevator.

“You’re welcome to come back and stay with me anytime. I loved having you here these last couple of days.” It makes him grin, knowing the alpha enjoyed him being here just as much as he liked staying. The elevator dings and opens before they leave it to walk outside. He realizes it’s his first day outdoors since arriving four days ago. It’s not too cold, the temperature usually only dropping at night.

He gets in the car after they put his things in the backseat. Wooyoung gets in next and turns on the car to start driving him back home. The city looks just as large and lively as it does at night, only colorful lights being replaced with natural ones. San’s going to miss being there but he’s also happy to go back home to see his friends and family.

A yawn comes from him, still tired since his body is recovering from his heat, it’s always like this the first few days after. Wooyoung looks over and caresses his thigh, “Get some sleep, I’ll wake you up when we get there.” He thanked him before curling up in his seat and resting his head on the window, the hand continuing to massage his thigh, making his breathing slow before the radio music fades.

He wakes up rested an hour later and sees they’re at his and Mingi’s house. “We’re here, sleeping beauty. You want to drop your things off before we head to the diner?” He says yes before they get out, and Wooyoung grabs his things for him while he unlocks the door. A cherry scent from Mingi comes to him and makes him realize how much he missed it.

As Wooyoung sits his items and his bag on the table in the living room, they leave. And San’s jittery as they pull into the diner’s parking lot, excited to see his friends again. He and Wooyoung leave the car and walk into the restaurant that’s not busy since it’s still early. At the counter are all his friends and Wooyoung’s. They’re all sharing a large tray of pancakes but soon look up towards them when they hear the door ding.

Mingi hugs him first, practically skipping around the counter joyfully to pull him into one that he relishes. Hongjoong is still standing by Seonghwa but looks just as happy that he’s back. “My heart is complete again, I have my other best friend back. We missed you so much, Sannie, the diner, and home wasn’t the same. I had no one to tease and get funny reactions from!”

Mingi pulls him from Wooyoung and behind the counter, where he hugs Hongjoong and Seonghwa, also greeting Jongho, Yeosang, and Yunho, who is sitting down, Wooyoung joining them. “Missed you guys too, even you annoying me.” There’s laughter from them all until Mingi gives him a smirk that San knows means he’s about to say something that usually makes him want to disappear.

“So, congrats on the deflowering! You even have “the glow,” was it everything you dreamed of?” Seonghwa is choking on his drink at Mingi’s outrageous words that he has yet to get used to like him and Hongjoong. Their omega hyung is patting his boyfriend’s back and holding in a laugh.

“Since you’re a weirdo and curious, yes, it was, and more.” Mingi looks shocked but impressed by his answer and turns to Wooyoung, “What have you done to him? He’s not getting flustered or running away from my teasing!” Hongjoong finally finishes laughing and pushes Mingi to go in the back and get ready for the customers who are going to arrive soon, their tall friend whining about why he has to do it.

San took that moment to stick his tongue at him, making the omega pout more and about to whine to Hongjoong who gives them both stern looks that soon turns into a settled smile. “For some reason, I miss you two bickering. Please don’t leave us again, Sannie.” He nods sweetly and gives him a side hug before turning to Wooyoung, who has just finished his conversations with his friends.

Seonghwa speaks, now being able to talk without choking. “You’re all going to the big race Saturday night? There’s huge prizes for this one and five rounds.” Hongjoong starts clingy on his arm, “Yes, we’re going because you’re going to win, love.” San smiles, being able to without feeling the sense of loneliness or love sickness he once had after.

Jongho perks up where he has his arm around Yeosang, “I’m definitely racing then, this must be going to be a long one, you coming?” He’s looking him, and he responds with yes. Wooyoung becoming excited, “San is going to be in the car with me for my race, he wanted to experience it.”

Hongjoong’s once happy face turns into worry. He turns to San with his eyebrows furrowed, “Are you sure you want to do that? I get anxiety just from watching Seonghwa, now I’m going to be double that knowing you’re going to be out there!” His hand grabs one of Hongjoong’s, “I’ll be fine, hyung. Woo will keep me safe.”

He leaves from behind the counter to sit by Wooyoung, whose hand immediately goes to his thigh out of habit now. “Yes, I promise to keep San safe and leave the race if I think something is wrong. There are usually exit routes everywhere for the racers to go to when problems occur.”

His hyung does that creepy stare where it’s like he’s staring into your soul to see if you’re lying or if he can trust you before he shakes his head to himself. “Alright, I trust you to keep him safe. You proved that to me already.” He’s turning to San and grinning, “Have fun, honey, but please take those nausea pills just in case.” His attention then goes to the wall clock. “Let’s start getting set up. Customers should start coming soon. Are you ready to get back to work?”

San finds himself putting on a determined face and standing up, ready to face all today’s possibilities. “Okay then, tell your alpha goodbye, and then come to help Mingi and I in the back.” Yeosang, Jongho, and Yunho are standing up and saying their goodbyes, Yunho telling Hongjoong to tell Mingi that he will call him later.

Soon, it’s just him and Wooyoung in the front after Seonghwa leaves to check the bathrooms. And he’s blushing at his friend telling him to say goodbye to “his alpha.” He moves in front of Wooyoung who turns his twistable chair around to let San stand close to him. “Even if what happened with my heat and all was unexpected, you gave me the best trip to the city for the first time. When can I see you again?”

They lean in, pecking each other’s lips. “Good, that was the goal, baby. And I’m going to be busy that I might not make it back over here until Saturday for the race, but we’ll talk and text, okay?” It makes him sad having to go a few days without seeing the alpha but he also is excited to see him Saturday.

“Okay, I’ll see you then and call you once I’m home tonight, goodbye for now.” Wooyoung arms wrap around him for a few moments until they part ways, and he stands up. He’s saying goodbye, placing a kiss on his cheek before leaving the diner. There’s already a sigh coming from him at seeing the alpha car leave before he gets into work mode, hoping for a good day.

***

“You met his mom again, and she mentioned marriage? Well damn, where’s the ring at this point!” A laugh comes from the three of them, San and his two best friends wearing facial masks with robes at a nice spa, it’s a treasure spot. They had just got a massage and are now relaxing in pool chairs that have a view of the sun going down behind mountains.

“It’s not here yet, we’re taking it slow, but is sure that we both have strong feelings for each other. He took such good care of me the whole time in the city, even bought me the roses that you saw on the counter at the house.”

Mingi and Hongjoong are awing at the same time, eating more fruit from the tray between them all. It feels great to spend time with them after so long. All their alphas surprised them with this, paying for the full package. So they had the spa to themselves on a Saturday, which is usually busy.

“We’re so happy for you, Sannie. You should get only the best things and experiences.” That was something he once thought was impossible but hoped for, and it seemed like his wishes were heard. “Yeah…thanks, guys, you’re the greatest friends I could have ever asked for. So let’s enjoy our time together before we head to the race tonight.” Mingi lifts his champagne glass for a toast, “I second that.” Hongjoong is next, raising his glass to clink, “I third that, love you, my sweeties.”

San completes it, clinking their glasses together. Mingi soon lays back with a grin on his face, “Now, let’s spend this time with each other before we’re all caught up in our alphas.” He smoothly pulls his shades down to look at them better, “Because I don’t know about you two, but I’m getting a knot tonight.” He and Hongjoong groan and throw hand towels at him, and before they all break out in laughter.

The sun is soon almost down, so they decide to go back to his and Mingi's house to get ready, Hongjoong's clothes already being there. They all separate when they get inside, San going to his room, which he missed more than he thought he would. He changes into a tank top and jacket with loose ripped jeans, and remembers to take the pills his hyung recommended. Also making sure to pick up the hoodie Wooyoung gave him to give it back, having to have worn it a lot at the house to bask in the scent he misses, but now it’s fading.

Sannie, you’re ready? We’re about to leave so we can get good seats!” Hongjoong voice brings him from where he’s looking at the hoodie, leaving his bedroom after grabbing his phone. “I’m ready, let’s go.” His friends nod before walking to Hongjoong's car and getting in.

He and Wooyoung have stayed in contact, but the alpha hasn’t been to the diner, so San is ready to see him again since it’s been a couple of days. The radio is turned up, and they start loudly singing, driving to the race location, he tries to keep himself patient.

When they arrive, the location is in a busier part, and he knows it’s a little further away from their town since there are larger buildings in the distance. There’s an announcement being made on the intercom that the second round is about to start, meaning Wooyoung and Yunho are about to race. Hongjoong leaves to go where Seonghwa is as he and Mingi walk over to where the street racers' cars are.

His eyes find Wooyoung fast. The alpha is leaning against his car, in a leather jacket and black shirt with jeans that make him attractive as usual. Wooyoung seems to find his peach scent before he’s even close as his eyes turn in his direction to scan the crowd, looking for him. San gets closer as Wooyoung eyes land on him and he’s pulled into his embrace.

“Hi, sweetie. Missed you, ready for the race?” San practically purrs at just hearing his voice in person again. “Hey, missed you too, and yes, I am. Should we get in since it’s starting soon?” Wooyoung nods before they wave at Mingi, who’s leaving Yunho’s car to go sit on the benches. The passenger door is opened for him before the alpha gets in. “Just a warning, it’s going to be fast and may be a little nerve-wracking for the first time.”

His hand moves over to take the other’s hand, “I know, I’m ready. Get a win, alpha.” Wooyoung leans over and kisses him, “I definitely will with you being with me.” He leans back in his seat, both of them putting on their seatbelts and him cracking his knuckles before starting up the car that’s roars alive. “Let’s ride, baby.” A wink is directed towards him before a countdown, and all the cars speed off. San's last clear thought was how that action alone turned him on.

The alpha’s car is fast, passing all the others, and like last time, San looks over to see Yunho's car coming beside them, blocking the cars from going past theirs. His hands are gripping the seat handles tight as his heartbeat is loud. But he’s not scared, only adrenaline pumping through his body.

Wooyoung is sending cocky looks out his window to the ones that are trying to catch up, even giving one, who roars their loud car at them, the finger. And he’s so in the zone, speed driving like it’s nothing, it’s a captivating sight that San's eyes don’t move away from. The alpha’s hair is blowing beautifully in the wind, and his veins are prominent in his hands from how he’s keeping control of the wheel, jaw shut tight.

San feels himself clenched at the view, his body heating up at the rush of everything, who knew street racing would turn him on this much? It gets him hot, causing him to pull his jacket halfway down his bare shoulders and run his hands through his hair. The action gets Wooyoung’s attention, making his bottom lip go between his teeth and scent spike.

The race goes on for a few more minutes until a familiar scene of a crowd and finish line come into view, their car and the one beside them going past it at the same time again. Then all the cars are parked in the spot from before, and the crowd is cheering as the intercom announces Wooyoung’s and Yunho’s names as the winners of this round.

They don’t get to speak yet because a man comes to the driver's side window and hands Wooyoung a bag that has stacks of money inside, congratulating him before going to Yunho's car. The bag is tossed in the back before eyes are on him. “Congratulations! You did so well. That was fun.” The alpha looks proud, “Thanks, sweetie, you ready to meet up with your friends?”

Wooyoung looks like there are other plans that he has for them, but leaves it up to San to decide. And quite frankly, San doesn’t want to meet them right now. He wants to spend more time with the alpha. “No, I’m sure they’re going to be busy watching the other rounds, maybe we can have some alone time together?” Those seem like the words Wooyoung wanted to hear as his car turns back on, and he leaves the other parked ones behind.

The car ends up back on the beach again, getting there taking less time than before. And the sight is just as striking as last, even more with it looking like more lights are lighting up from the city across the ocean. “I don’t think I could ever stop wanting to see this view.” A whisper of, “Yeah, me too,” gets his attention, and he sees Wooyoung looking at him.

The high energy from earlier is back as he feels his body vibrating. All it takes is for the alpha to look at him with lidded eyes to make him boldly climb over the car console and sit in his lap. Wooyoung hand moves down to make his seat back up and go down a little to make more room before moving to his lower back.

“You know, you were so sexy looking all focused, and cocky during the race. I couldn’t help but get turned on.” San's hips start rolling, as he feels himself dripping slick. Wooyoung sits up close to him, their bodies heating up like a fire is lighting between them. “Is that so? Well, you almost made me lose focus with that little action you did.” His hand comes up to pull San's jacket back down, caressing his naked shoulders and arms, which makes him shiver.

“Tell me, what do you want right now, sweetheart?” The yearning energy between them should say it all, but he appreciated him wanting to make sure. San's hand slides down the alpha's chest until he reaches his belt and plays with the hoop. “I want to feel you.” Wooyoung moves to press something on the side of the car that makes the roof light up with stars San didn’t notice was there.

His eyes sparkle as he looks at it before turning his attention back to Wooyoung, who smirks, “You do? Right under the stars, baby?” San can only giggle at the witty reply, connecting his lips to the other. Then, the need to feel skin makes them start quickly undressing each other. He takes Wooyoung's shirt off after the leather jacket is gone.

His clothes are taken off as well, his own jacket and tank top being removed before they work to take off their pants. Laughing when they get tangled from being in a not-so-convenient position to get rid of them. But they make it work and are soon left in underwear only. Their hands move desperately on each other, not having any physical contact in days and craving it.

The friction between their lower bodies makes them both moan, wanting more but not making any moves to stop. But San gets impatient, “Can I try sucking you off? Want you in my mouth.” He’s moving off the other’s lap and between his legs when the reply is, “Yes, baby.” Eagerly, he works to pull off the boxer briefs, hand wrapping around the hot and heavy length that springs out.

But his chin is lifted as Wooyoung thumb rubs his jaw, “This your first time giving a blowjob, right?” His cheeks quickly darken at that, remembering how this is something he hasn’t done before. “Don’t worry, just don’t push yourself. Whatever you do will feel good to me.” San has watched porn, so he’s not clueless about how to start.

He wet his lips before letting his head be guided to the cock that was shining with precum, bringing the tip in his mouth and swirling his tongue. That causes the alpha to let out a groan that he hears over the crashing waves in the background. It motivates him to want to make more sounds come from above him as he takes in more, throat opening to allow the intrusion.

“Don’t go too far down fast, sweetie. You can go slow, making me feel good already.” San's hair is being combed through, and encouraged, to start sucking, his hand stroking what he can’t fit yet. Once his throat takes more, he moves further down, enjoying having it filled like this, surrounding all his senses with Wooyoung. His nose hit neatly trimmed dark hair that made him moan at the scent, moving his hand down to roll his fingers between the alpha’s balls, hips jerking from his action.

“You sure you’re new at this, or are you just a natural? I may need you to come up before I end up knotting your mouth, baby.” He sounds breathless as San looks up at him, looking wreaked already from his mouth. It brings up his ego as he pulls off, getting back air he didn’t notice he needed.

San gets off the floor to pull down his underwear and sit back in the other’s lap. “Guess I’m just a natural, glad to have made you feel good.” Wooyoung smiles and reaches inside the middle console to take out a condom and packet of lube. He’s opening the condom and putting it on after handing him the lube packet to open. San lifts himself to look down while coating the cock with some, adding the rest to alpha’s fingers, who leans in to kiss his lips and thank him.

Those fingers are then going behind his body, him arching to get them inside when they only massage his rim. But when they’re finally entering him, it’s effortless, a good amount of slick having to have had collected. “We didn’t even have to use lube. You’re already so wet. Think you need more stretching out?” He nods no and reaches behind himself to line the cock up to his hole, desperate to have it in him now.

“Take it, sweetie. Go down just like that. Can’t get enough of you.” He moans quietly, letting him open up to the cock until he’s seated fully down. “Love your cock, so big and fills me. Fuck me, please.” One of Wooyoung’s hands moves him up and down while the other digs in his upper back, pulling him in. They share their breaths, which come out faster, the night sky and stars highlighting parts of their faces.

One of San’s thumb comes up to slide over the beauty mark on the other’s lips, trying to stamp every little detail of him in his mind. “My alpha…mine.” It slips out of his mind, but he doesn’t take it back, instead burying his face in Wooyoung’s hair as the alpha attacks his neck with new marks and kisses, speeding his thrusts up. “All yours, and mine too, hmm? My omega, my sweet peach.”

He’s nodding and moving his body to meet the alpha’s hips. San wants his bite so much but knows they should wait until his next heat or the other’s rut. He distracts himself from the thought by kissing Wooyoung more, bringing him up from his neck. But they’re barely able to kiss, too many sounds having to break through. His bottom lip is bit, and pulled, causing him to whine. “Can you turn around for me, baby?”

It takes him great effort to move away for a moment to change positions, but he does, Wooyoung entering him again and pulling him down while using his hand to spread his legs more. San finds himself to the alpha’s chest, head resting on his shoulder as the pace increases again. This turns out to be a way better position as he can look out the window and see the bright city and large waves of the ocean, along with the shining stars on the car roof.

But none of it compares to being wrapped in Wooyoung’s arm and spending such intimate time with him. His hand locks together with the one on his stomach, head leaning to the side and allowing himself to be in the moment. Here, he feels safe, warm, and loved. San is allowed to be vulnerable in these arms and knows he will only be treasured, and not taken advantage of.

“You’re everything that I wanted. My soulmate that I have been searching years for.” The pace is slower now, their bodies rocking together, pleasure slowly crashing over them like the waves they’re looking at. When he hears the voice, it’s speaking by his ear with such sentimentality in it. “We were always going to find each other again. I would have gone my whole life looking for my soulmate, for you, I wouldn’t have given up.”

His chin is resting on San's shoulder now, and when he turns his head, he’s looking out the window as well, but he knows his mind is on them. And a hand trail down his stomach before starting to move up and down on his cock. “I’m not going to last.” His gleaming eyes reflect Wooyoung’s as they meet, and his hand holds his face to keep him from looking away, needing the alpha's full attention.

“I’m going to soon too. Come with me, yeah?” A sob leaves him when he feels the alpha’s knot, still not used to it. But it doesn’t take away the pleasure he feels as he comes when Wooyoung does. His breathing is brisk as he tries to come down from his orgasm, the cool night air from the open window helping.

They have to sit and wait a few minutes for the knot to go down, but both don’t mind as they sit in the peaceful night, watching the sparkling ocean. “My happiest days have been with you. I never want them to go away, not after getting to experience them again.” He says it so genuinely that it makes San emotional.

“They won’t. I’m moving to the city in three months, and we’ll be closer, get to see each other more.” Wooyoung looks surprised, “You’re coming that soon?” San looks at him with sincerity, “Yes. My friends and I talked about it, and we want to make that change. Hongjoong hyung is moving in with Seonghwa hyung, and Mingi and I are getting an apartment close to you and Yunho’s.”

Kisses are going all over his cheeks as Wooyoung holds him closer, his excited citrus scent and kiss attack makes San laughs. “Good, because there are many places I want to take you to see.” The alpha’s knot goes down, and he lifts himself off him, knowing they need to get back before the race ends. They wipe off and get back dressed, sharing more kisses before finally leaving his new favorite spot.

The race is still happening when they get back but is in the last round that Seonghwa and Jongho seem to be participating in. Wooyoung parked his car with the others who weren’t racing in the current round. San turns in his seat to face him, playing with the rings that are on some of his fingers. “I liked spending time with you tonight, and I want to thank you for everything. You showed me only love, fun, and kindness. I hope to repay you.”

Wooyoung slides their hand together, “I have an idea…” San looks at him curiously, wondering what he wants him to do. “How about being my boyfriend?” The alpha is nervous but hides it with the hope in his eyes that’s showing more. “I would love that.” A boyish grin appears on his face before he squeezes San's thigh, and they leave the car to find their friends. They see them sitting on the first row of benches, looking at the large screens.

Mingi waves them over, showing the two seats they saved for them. “Good to see you two made it back from wherever you sneaked off to, the race is about to end soon.” He’s leaning on Yunho’s shoulder, Hongjoong greeting them beside him but mostly focused on Seonghwa’s car on the screen. Wooyoung sits down, and he’s about to sit too but is pulled onto the alpha’s thighs instead.

He doesn’t mind, cuddling into him while they watch the race, cheering when Jongho and Seonghwa win. Soon they all meet up, pleased with how the race turned out, and congratulate each other. “Alright, babies, say your goodnights. I need to get you two home.” Hongjoong says to him and Mingi, who both yawn. The time now is two in the morning.

They’re all saying goodnight and bye until he gets to Wooyoung, who pecks his dimples. “Get home safe and rest, sweetie. Thanks for joining me in the race tonight.” His tired smile gets bigger, “Thanks for having me, and you get home safe, too. I will see you soon.” Wooyoung watches with heart eyes as he leaves, his two friends giggling at how love-struck the alpha looks.

“He’s down bad for you, Sannie. It’s so cute. Where did you guys go?” Hongjoong asked as they got back in the car, Mingi getting in the back and laying down but making a sound to show he was agreeing and engaging in their conversation. “The beach, hyung. It’s such an amazing sight. I think it’s our favorite spot to spend time at now.” His hair is ruffled before Hongjoong starts the car and drives them back home since he’s staying with them tonight.

When they get in the house, he and Mingi get forehead kisses from their hyung, who goes to their guest room, which is basically his second room now. Mingi hugs him before he moves to his room to wash up and get under his covers. A voice message from Wooyoung comes through. He sounded tired in it but still made sure to send San one, him being delighted at having the alpha as his boyfriend now. He lets it play, “Sweet dreams, peach,” being the last thing he hears.

***

The diner was busy today after opening full-time again. So San was running in circles trying to take care of each customer, Mingi coming to help when he could. They have all been putting more hours in to save up enough for an easy move to the city, which will be happening in two weeks from now. Another thing is, Hongjoong is now expecting, yeah, “I’m not having any gremlins,” his ass. He chuckles to himself, but it’s another reason why they want to move as planned and on schedule.

He is on break when Wooyoung walks in, looking good as always. “Hello, my beautiful omega. How are you today?” He gets flushed at that title, not being used to it yet but loving to hear his now mate call him it. “Hey, babe. I didn’t know you were coming today.” He’s hugging him before Wooyoung slides into a booth with him and places his arm around his shoulder.

“Wanted to stop by and see you, came to meet some family members that live here still.” San forgets Wooyoung once lived here all these years ago with how city-like he is now. It makes him think about how five months ago, he saw the alpha walk into the diner for the first time, stealing his breath and heart away. Looking outside the window, a colorful butterfly flies around until it sits on the window sill by them through the glass.

Looking at it makes a content smile come on his face. It’s been a while since he’s seen one, and he can’t help but think of how much it reminds San of himself and his life now. He’s bloomed in many ways and has never felt so free and looking forward to his future as he does now. And it all started when a boy he remembers from childhood walked through the door. It’s interesting how life works.

Wooyoung gets his attention, “You okay, baby? You look deep in thought.” San looks away from the window and cuddles at his alpha’s side, the smile only growing on his face. “Yes, just thinking how I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else but right here with you.” There’s a peck on his ear and a reply, “Me too, sweetheart.” They’re both looking out the window after, words not needing to be said between them to enjoy their time together as they watch cars go by.
